This 10 speed transmission 10R80 is very well known to fail. This should be investigated and recalled by ford with a fix. So many people with f150s year 2017-present have this transmission with issues. Mine is currently starting to have issues and I know how much it will cost to repair. Even repairing makes me nervous because I’d hate to have another 10R80 back in it.
I am reporting a safety-related defect involving the 10R80 transmission in my 2019 Ford F-150. The vehicle experiences erratic shifting and loss of power that appears to be caused by a known defect in the transmission’s CDF clutch drum assembly. Ford has issued TSBs for this problem (including TSB 25-2126), which describe axial movement of the CDF drum sleeve leading to hydraulic pressure loss. However, this issue has not been addressed through a recall. My vehicle exhibits symptoms consistent with this defect, including: •Harsh and unexpected shifts •Delayed engagement when accelerating •RPM flares and slipping between gears •Loss of power or hesitation during passing, merging, or turning •Sudden or unpredictable shift behavior that affects vehicle control These symptoms occur at random and create unsafe driving conditions, especially when entering traffic or making left turns. The loss of power and inconsistent shift timing can leave the vehicle unable to accelerate when necessary, which creates a potential crash hazard. This appears to be a widespread issue affecting Ford vehicles equipped with the 10R80 transmission from multiple model years. Many owners have reported the same symptoms, and transmission specialists have documented a design flaw in the original CDF drum, where the internal bushing moves out of position and causes hydraulic circuit failure. Ford has quietly released a revised CDF drum, which further indicates that the original design may be defective. Because this defect can cause unpredictable loss of power or abnormal shifting that affects driver control, I believe it constitutes a safety risk and should be investigated. A TSB does not ensure repair unless a failure is already happening, which puts drivers and the public at risk. I am requesting that NHTSA open an investigation into CDF drum failures in the 10R80 transmission and evaluate whether a recall is warranted.
(Current approx mileage of occurance 104,xxx -105,xxx)The transmission on my 2019 Ford F150 abruptly started to run really bad. The transmission started slamming gears, hard shifting, delayed shifting, delayed acceleration. The shifting was slamming to hard, that it felt like another vehicle hit me in the rear. I called a local Ford dealership on 1/7/2026 to make an appointment to get the software updated (TSB 21-2145), the earliest appointment I was able to get was 1/13/2026. I drove the truck again on Sunday (1/11/2026) for church, and upon returning home, the wrench icon appeared on my dash board. I did not drive the truck again until 1/13/26 for the appointment. I took the truck in on my appointment and shared my concerns with the technician about it being a bigger problem than a software update, and he assured me he would complete proper inspection and diagnostics. After the tech completed the software update (& reset shift tables) the truck drove worse. He informed me, he believes the truck will need a replaced transmission. On my way home the truck drove worse, Slamming gears harder, and hesitating worse, worse delayed acceleration. The truck is not safe to drive. I took it to another reputable transmission shop in town 1/15 for a 2nd opinion, and he concluded the same. Transmission needs to be replaced. The frustrating thing in all of this, is I had an extended warranty on the truck through 100k miles. I took the truck in to the local Ford Dealer for a full inspection at 99,xxx miles to verify all was good, and if it wasn't then I would like to use my warranty for repairs. I was given a bill of good health. And approx 5000 miles later, I now need a full transmission replacement? I am getting no-where with Ford. I even tried my insurance company, and am getting no help there either. I still owe a balance on my truck, and now I've got to figure out a $8k-11k repair.
the 10 speed transmission is shuddering, slipping, and missing gears. This is extremely dangerous when driving through intersections and needing to maintain speed especially when turning/crossing lanes with oncoming traffic. Also, when driving up a hill and you have power loss.
Vehicle out of nowhere downshifts harshly.
Bought the truck used from a ford dealer with roughly 34000 miles in 2023.Transmission had a slightly hard shift into 5th gear then that escalated to a jump of shifting from 1 to 4 leaving traffic lights or stop sighns. The truck would also drive in first shift to 2nd or 3rd and loose all power for moment of time then shift to 4th. Changed trans filter and replaced motorcraft ulv to specs at roughly 70200 miles with no change in shift pattern. Drove then next day to town about 6 miles trans temp reached 260-280 in that short time with the same random unsafe shift pattern as stated before.
10speed transmission knocking in and out of gear even trying to turn left is a major safety concern I’ve had times it knock out of gear and it revs on its own without my foot on the pedal and after about 10seconds it jumps into gear with seconds to spare of on coming traffic Ford knows about it I’ve had it looked at and they just did a “software update” for it to keep doing it what’s it going to take for them to fix the issue they built from driving 60mph going from 10th gear trying to engage 1st gear isn’t good
Transmission and Timing Chain Failure. John Vance Ford inspected F150 Jan 26, 2026 and Mar 2, 2026. On Mar 2, 2026 it was determined transmission ($8,740.85) and timing chain ($4,948.86) needed to be replaced. I experienced the vehicle slipping into neutral and lunging forward to find a gear while driving. The delay in gears could have easily caused a rearend collision...but did not...as vehicles behind me had to slow down without notice. John Vance confirmed faulty transmission. No warning lights or messages were displayed associated with the failure.
Harsh/erratic shifting, clunking, hesitation between gears, and sudden loss of power. Was unaware there was a known defect with these transmissions and almost rear ended vehicles in multiple occasions due to the vehicles acceleration hesitation and then bolting forward. Dealership now states the transmission needs to be replaced at just over 70,000 miles
I noticed the rear axel or back suspension on this truck is making a very load uncomfortable sound, like when two pieces of metal are rubbing up against each other... Its under tension and making a bind on the back passenger side. I got the truck with my mechanic few and body/auto repair guy and observed a 1/4 inch UBolt that holds the lead spring I believe hitting up against another bolt on the rear suspension and I cant access or open the drain plug too check the differential. Also there are a lot of loose wires under the dashboard, that already made me trip once, and Im a disabled veteran. Can you please help me get that taken care of?
My transmission has begun to shift extremely rough the vehicle now loses power with no notice OR it excellerates up to almost 4000rpm. So much that I have to break and try to pull over immediately. Without any notice the vehicle no shifts rough from 3-4 skips 6 completely and whines out in 8th gear.
Harsh shifting including sudden downshifts that result in uncontrolled acceleration. This has occurred typically at slow speeds in parking garages or at stop lights.
When driving home from work at night on the highway in a 55mph zone my truck lost all power and the ability to accelerate. While on the highway began to hit the gas a bit more and saw the gears go from gear 10 all the way down to 1st gear at 55mph. Not sure what was happening and the truck began to “gear hunt” (attempting to find a gear that would give power). The truck gave me a check engine light and a alert of reduced power. I started to smell a burning smell in the vehicle and someone behind me was flashing me with their high beams to attempt to alert me something was wrong. I rolled the window down and looked in my mirror and saw white bellowing smoke being produced from behind the vehicle causing other drivers to either change lanes or slow down so they can see. I used what speed I had left from going down a on ramp to pull into a parking spot behind a building on the main road and had to call for a tow truck very late at night after my shift. I had the vehicle towed to that into the service department of a certified Ford dealership. After a few days of waiting for a response on the diagnosis of the vehicle, they stated that the transmission had blown and needed a replacement.
The transmission is having issues shifting like not wanting to go into gear and at time getting stuck in intersections not wanting to find what gear to go in. Hard shifting and downshifting at any givin time .
I own a 2019 F-150 XLT truck with only 56,000 miles. I bought the truck brand new in 2019 and now it only has 56,000 miles! The transmission just failed and is not under warranty of 5 years or 60,000 miles and it's frustrating Ford doesn't have any recalls for this Truck. This Truck is unsafe and needed a new 10 speed 1080r transmission. Incident #1-I was on the freeway at 65 miles an hour and the truck downshifted into 2nd gear! It abruptly, slowed down and I had to pull over on the side of the freeway, luckily no one was close behind me. I then had to re-start and make it back home. Incident #2- I was turning right at a light and had to merge into traffic and speed up to merge and the truck transmission went into neutral and would not shift into gear. I immediately pulled to the side of the road with cars slamming on their breaks behind me, honking! Incident#3- I was at a red light waiting to turn left and when the light turned green the truck transmission would not go..it was stuck in neutral and after a few seconds shifted and slammed into gear! The car behind me was using their horn to get me moving. A big wrench warning light came on the dashboard and then I decided to fix the issue. I took the Truck to the local Ford dealer and was told to get in line because there were 70 vehicles in back all waiting for the same issue. The dealer gave me an estimate to fix the transmission was $12,000-14,000 dollars! and could take a couple months before they look at my truck. So frustrating because I need a vehicle to get to work. I took it to a local transmission shop and he inspected the transmission and stated I needed to order a new one from Ford. I paid $9,800 for a new 10 speed transmission for my 2019 Ford Truck. I was without my truck for 1 week and caused a big inconvenience to my family.
Transmission problem .10R80. Vehicle would not move from stop in 1st or 2nd gear.
10r80 transmission failure at 67,000 miles. My wife drove the vehicle with our 6 month old daughter in her carseat. The vehicle would not shift out of 3rd gear while getting onto the highway. Two days later, I was driving and it would not shift out of first gear. Extremely dangerous and will (not if) lead to injuries and death. Dealership confirmed the entire transmission will need to be replaced
Every time that the vehicle is started the sink system defaults to where no memory is saved. The menu becomes an operative where no buttons on the touchscreen can be pushed, as well as the rear camera will get stuck on the screen while and drive trying to reset the system makes it somewhat operable, but a master reset cannot be performed as the screen freezes.
The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving in 1st gear, the transmission violently upshifted into 3rd gear while the accelerator pedal was depressed. No warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that while driving in the 3rd gear, the vehicle briefly hesitated while upshifting before suddenly accelerating with the accelerator pedal depressed. The vehicle was taken to a local independent mechanic, where the transmission was serviced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure reoccurred. An appointment with the dealer was scheduled to inspect the vehicle. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign: 25E070000 (Power Train) and TSB: 25-2126; however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 68,200.
My F150 is having problems shifting gears. Most prevalent in the lower gears when accelerating. It hesitates as it shifts, up or down, and then creates a loud thud and jerks the truck, as it finally shifts. You can feel it during other gears, as when downshifting to climb a hill. There is a loss of drive during this shifting hesitation, and this creates a safety issue when pulling out into traffic. I have contacted the local Ford dealership, and they stated that I needed to bring it in for a transmission evaluation. I booked the earliest appointment, but it is five weeks out.
Dec of 2022 I took my truck into the dealer (under warranty) because I felt the transmission would slip when trying to get it into gear while cold. They said they could not replicate it. The slipping and clunking into gear persisted when you started it in cold weather only. Last weekend (Dec 2025) in a snow storm in rural Michigan we put it into four wheel drive. It kept slipping and clunking but finally would not stay in gear. Then the warning light went on that we had a 4-wheel fault. We have never seen that before. It was very scary because we were in the middle of farmland with blowing snow and we had a difficult time even finding a place to turn around. We eventually got it to the dealership which said we needed a new transmission. I have seen this issue raised on social media and found this. NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration): There are 124 official complaints specifically filed for the 2019 model year. I complained to FORD which said they could not help me. My case number with them is XXX. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
-10-speed 10R80 transmission in 2019 F150 it felt unsafe (jerking, loss of power) -takes a long time for truck to get up in speed after making a stop -vehicle has been inspected by a shop -truck has not showed any warning lamps
The tailgate latch actuator came open while I was driving home spilling all my tools out into the roadway including extension ladders that were folded down I had a bed cover on so I never seen or heard the tailgate there's no warning there's no lights there's no dinging and then don't come up on the camera or nothing like that I've contacted Ford dealership we have a case and police reports I've got it had a witness with me I'm having it inspected sometime soon I'm contacting the insurance agent now there was no warning labels whatsoever but over $10,000 worth of tools I had car batteries hand tools shovels tool boxes you name it come flying out this is the second time that this has happened but kk first time I caught it heard it I was this the second time I wasn't there was on the highway at night I came back luckily some kids had been cleaning some of it off they had took off most of my tools by then but I caught them they had the extension ladder and some other things thank God cuz it was laying in a blind curve on a highway at night
"I am reporting a spontaneous vehicle fire involving my 2019 Ford F-150. The fire occurred on Dec 11, 2025, while the vehicle was off. The vehicle has several outstanding safety recalls, including Recall 20C19 regarding poor electrical connections, which I believe is the primary cause of this fire. I have a detailed Statement of Facts and fire scene photos available. Please provide a Case Number and instructions for submitting these evidence files to your legal/safety department."
Transmission failure at 76,000 miles. Vehicle not properly responding coupled with erratic gear behavior when trying to shift gears. Problem was confirmed by Ford dealer Doggett Ford, South Loop, Houston Texas. Diagnosis: Transmission replacement. No warning lights or messages. Problems appeared suddenly and deteriorated quickly. Ford Customer Support was contacted but only offered to pay around $4,000.00 against a $11,000.00 repair estimate by the dealer. How is it possible that these trucks have not been recalled? My internet research in the last month or so since the problem occurred reveals that this is a well known problem with the 10 speed transmission in question. Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to any comments you may have.
10R80 TRANSMISSION CDF DRUM FAILURE HARD SHIFT BETWEEN GEARS, SPORADIC GEAR CHANGING FROM 10TH TO 1ST GEAR. CAUSING TRUCK JERK LOOSE POWER WHILE DRIVING PUTTING DRIVER AND PASSENGER AT RISK. WENT TO A FORD DEAL FOR ASSEMANT AND CONFIRM THAT CDF DRUM BUSHING HAS SLIPPED AND OTHER ISSUE INTERNAL COMPONENTS FAILURE. NO ENGINE LIGHT SHOWING FROM ISSUE BUT THIS ISSUE STARTED IN 12/2025. FORD HAS KNOWN ABOUT THIS ISSUE AND NOT APPLY AS A SAFETY CONCERN. MY TRUCK HAS ONLY 54,000 MILES. THIS ISSUE SHOULD HAVE BEEN ADDRESSED AS A RECALL BY FORD FOR SAFETY.
2019 F-150 2.7L EcoBoost, 10-speed. Intermittent unintended acceleration: while coasting or braking at low speed (10–25 mph) the engine suddenly revs to 3–4k RPM with a strong lurch forward against the brakes. Requires hard braking and shifting to Neutral to stop. Happens year-round, warm or cold, no warning lights. This is a known issue covered by TSB 19-2135 and SSM 49240 This problem started in 2020 at about 10K mileage. Has occurred about 10 times since with about 82K mileage now. The service dealer at Acton Ford tried to reproduce the problem a couple years ago by driving it, but acceleration problem didn’t happen. The problem occurred today, Dec 6, 2025 while braking for a stop light when I had to stomp on the brakes and shifted into Park. This could be dangerous if I pulled through the red light into cross-traffic.
TRANSMISSION FAILURE. EXTENDED WARRANTY DENIED CLAIM TO FIX/REPLACE. ENGINE RATTLE, THOUGHT WAS THE HEAT SHIELD, HAD REPAIRED, STILL HAPPENING. LAFONTAINE FORD ON S. PENNSYLVANIA, LANSING MI STATED THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE ENGINE BUT DID NOT SAY WHAT IT WAS EXACTLY. NO WARNING LIGHTS APPEARED BEFORE TRANSMISSION AND RATTLE STARTED. I LIVE LESS THAN 5 MILES FROM MY WORK AND ON MY WAY TO WORK, IT WAS MAKING HORRIBLE NOISES AND HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP. THE TRUCK WAS PURCHASED FROM MORRIE FORD IN OKEMOS, MI BUT LAFONTAINE WAS CLOSER TO HAVE IT TOWED. THE PROBLEM WITH MY TRUCK IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THE 10 SPEED ENGINES AND FAILS TO REPAIR/REPLACE KNOWN ISSUES. SEVERAL PEOPLE HAVE DOCUMENTED THIS SAME ISSUE ON YOUTUBE.COM AND FORD CONTINUES OR THE WARRANTY INSURANCE THE DEALERSHIP SOLD ME WILL COVER IT. MY TRUCK HAS LESS THAN 60,000 MILES AND ONLY A 2019, WHICH IS CONSIDERED LOW MILES. I HAVE MAINTAINED MY TRUCK PERTAINING TO ROUTINE MAINTENENCE, NEW TIRES AND A TONNO COVER. THE BACK SEATS ARE NEVER SAT IN AS THEY ARE ALWAYS FOLDED UP FOR MY DOGS. THEY WANT TO CHARGE ME $16,000 FOR THE REPAIRS. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!
Transmission shutter/slipping
No check engine light before, during, or after the incident. Pulling on to road in traffic, transmission started slipping, not allowing me to get to speed of traffic. This almost caused a rear end collision. It is absurd to have paid this much money for a vehicle and so many people have this same issue. (CDF drum and valve body). Consumer has to pay $6,000 to $10,000. Ford needs to be held accountable for this garbage they produced. Absolute worst and unsafe issue ever encountered in all my years of owning vehicles. It’s ashamed and sad, I’ll have to continue to drive my vehicle this way because i don't have $10,000 to repair what should be recalled. This transmission has shifted horribly so many times almost creating fatal crashes, it’s a death trap. Where is accountability these days?
The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the Auto START/STOP feature was inoperable. The contact stated that the vehicle was shaking, and while idling, the vehicle started jerking abnormally. The contact stated that the transmission was slow to shift. The check engine warning light was illuminated, and the message cylinder #6 misfire was displayed, but had turned off. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25E070000 (Power Train). The local dealer was contacted, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the issue and confirmed the remedy was not yet available, and opened a case. The failure mileage was approximately 155,000.
My transmission is slipping jerking sometimes won't go in gear I have it at the Ford dealership now. It's a 10 speed and it should be in the recall like all the others. It's doing the exact same thing
Driving on the interstate with the family in the truck. Was going 70 mph and the truck started bucking and loosing power causing me to swerve to gain control and bring the truck to a stop. On the side of the highway I tried to drive to an exit and the truck proceeded to shift from first to 7 and then say 10 and just rev then slam into first over and over. Limped fo a gas station. Fluid level is good. The junk 10 speed transmission almost cause us to wreck on the interstate at a very bust time. Who know what all damage that would have caused.
The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while reversing, the rear-view display displayed a black image. In addition, the rear-view camera displayed an error message, which indicated that the rear-view camera display was unavailable. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed with a failed rear view camera system. The contact was informed that the rear-view camera system needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact referenced an unknown recall that had a similar failure description; however, the VIN was not under recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 67,305.
The driver front wheel developed a crack in it on the inside of the wheel. It was detected due to the tire leaking air. It was not immediately detected in the dunk tank at discount tire and I continued to fill air and drive on the rim until the leak accelerated, and discount tire was finally able to detect the leak. With the wheel compromised, if I hit something wrong, or even just driving, the crack was expanding, and could catastrophically fail while driving, resulting in a loss of control as well as a risk of debris for myself and other drivers to hit. There are no signs of impact on the rim. I have pictures of the crack, as well as the wheel and tire available for inspection if needed.
Erratic shifting and skipping gears, unexpected downshift to 1st gear or neutral causing loss of power when driving in freeway either in hot or cold. This is very crucial and serious issue because it cause a crash. Vehicle was taken to a Ford dealer and because they coundln't found any recall linked to this VIN so they did confirm failure of transmission. Even though they confirmed failure on transmission when I first noticed it was when it had around 50k miles and right now has around 96k.
The rear camera goes blank when put in reverse. The screen shows "rear camera not available". There were multiple recalls for rear view camera system but my year and model is not included. A lot of same complaints on the web regarding the same issue.
I was just stopped at a red light and took foot off pedal and the vehicle didn't restart. The instrument cluster showed a warning saying "Auto StartStop Shift to P then Restart". This has happened 4-5 times in the past month.
My windshield wiper/motor/assembly just stopped working. To make it worse, it stopped in the middle of a rain/snow storm.
The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving approximately 60 MPH, the passenger side mirror malfunctioned and became stuck in the upward position and failed to tilt downward as needed. The failure created a visibility hazard for the driver. The contact was unable to view vehicles approaching from the rear passenger’s side and nearly caused a crash. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer was notified of the failure. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 92,000.
The 10-speed automatic transmission 10r80 on my 2019 Ford F150, experienced hard and delayed shifting, transmission slippage, noticeable loss of power, warning lights coming on and off. Not shifting into gear at all. Transmissions typically last between 150,000 to 200,000 miles, depending on how maintained and driving habits. With proper care, some transmissions can last up to 300,000 miles or more. F150 cam phaser recall affects models from 2017 to 2020, addressing issues like rattling noises and potential engine problems. I actually received this recall, and had my trucked “fixed” at the SAMES Ford in Corpus Christi TX. In late 2021 or early 2022. I was in a Ford Dealership in Redfield SD, in Jun/July 2025 and asked them to check on any recalls for my 2019 F150. I was told there was no recalls on my truck. My truck has roughly 70K miles on it. There is a service bullet 23-2123 for the transmission, and with that recall that should have fixed my truck, yet now my truck is in the shop with every problem on both the recall and the service bullet. I have to replace my transmission and the cam phasers. I have been in and out of shops trying to get this "fixed" and diagnosed since early Dec 2025.
* The transmission regularly misses shifts through the lower gears when accelerating, particularly when the transmission is not yet up to operating temperature. It's as if the transmission goes into neutral, the engine races (tach spools up to 3500/4000 rpm), and then the transmission will slam into the next gear. * I cannot depend on the truck to merge predictably with traffic, and lurching and breaking traction ("burnouts", chirping tires) are distracting at the least, and potentially dangerous and damaging to other driveline components. * The problem has been reproduced and confirmed by an independent transmission shop through a test drive, and by the local Ford dealership's technician / service department. Service records are available. * Apart from the above it has not been inspected by other agencies. * There are no other indications either through the vehicle on-board systems or DTCs visible on independent or dealer scanners. There was an indication when I bought the vehicle due to a needed recall / software update. I complied with the update at the dealer and the fault indication cleared itself. I do not know if there is any relation to the current problem. Note that this symptom appears virtually every time the truck is driven, so "date the incident occurred" is "various", although listed as today.
cam phaser rattle, well known issue in 2017-2020 F-150s. Started around November 8, 2025, at cold start. Maybe 78,000 miles. Spoke to repair shop who id'd the issue and suggested a NHTSA case.
I have a 2019 Ford F150 with a 10R80 transmission. It has been shuddering and has erratic shifting. Now it is at a dealership and they want $9000 to repair a known problem. It appears that Ford and the NHTSA are aware of this problem with these transmissions. The problem has been going on since Ford went to these transmissions. When will the Federal Government step in and make Ford have a safety recall. Going from 8th Gear to 2nd gear is like hitting a concrete wall. Ford has several Bulletins out for repairing these transmissions but refuse to inform the consumer. So if this problem happens outside of the warranty Ford wants to get paid. Please help the American consumer and hold Ford accountable for the defective product.
2019 Ford F150 is having a transmission issues. This issue is known by Ford Motor Company which is addressed in a TSB. The issues that are occurring with the CDF drums which prone to bushing failure and causing erratic shifting while driving on highways and residential areas. The problem has been reproduced and confirmed by the local Ford Dealer, but the cost would be between $6000-$7500 so far. There were no warning indications prior to the issues. There are known lawsuits in regards to the 10R80 tranmissions and Ford fails to issue a recall on the models with it installed. I was on the highway driving around 65-70 mph when the transmission started to jerk and then bog. This is DEFINITELY a safety risk for any Ford owner and others driving around them.
Rear camera sporadically goes blanks or distorts
The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while reversing, the rear-view camera system displayed a distorted image. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. In addition, the contact stated that the failure occurred intermittently. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V572000 (Back Over Prevention); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 68,583.
The rear camera view displays the warning "the camera is not available" on the screen. A blurry, distorted flickering image is displayed on the screen. This is the same thing I see with my 2016 Ford Fusion, whose camera has been recalled. I'm not sure if this is an intermittent issue or not, but yesterday it was a persistent issue.

Problems with the transmission shuddering, lock up and incorrect shifting is causing safety issues when driving. Check engine light is on/off and when it randomly locks up causes concern at intersections when driving. Please provide help/assistance and or notification of a mfg recall. Thank you.
