I WAS TRAVELING ON AN INTERSTATE IN MY 2012 FORD FOCUS 5 DOOR HATCHBACK ON A TRIP WITH MY SON. MY CAR HAD A HALF TANK OF GAS REMAINING, SO I REFUELED. I HAD TO TRAVEL 100 MILES HOME, I NOTICED THE DISTANCE TO EMPTY ONLY CHANGED 20 MILES OR SO. SO FROM 436 MILES TO 416 MILES TO EMPTY. THE NEXT DAY, I WENT TO RUN ERRANDS, ON A STATE HIGHWAY, THE DISTANCE TO EMPTY SAID 490 MILES TO EMPTY AND THE GAS GAUGE STILL SHOWED THE TANK WAS FULL. I PARKED THE CAR BECAUSE OF MY BUSY SCHEDULE AND USED MY SPARE VEHICLE. LAST WEEK, 8/27 I DROPPED MY CAR OFF FOR SERVICE AND PERFORM RECALL 18S32 (FUEL TANK DEFORMATION, PCM, CANISTER PURGE VALVE). THE DEALERSHIP CALLED AND SAID MY FUEL TANK WAS DEFORMED AND WOULD NEED REPLACED AT MY EXPENSE. FORD REJECTED THE DEALERSHIP CLAIM THAT THE FUEL TANK WAS NOT DEFORMED ENOUGH, YET IF I DO NOT REPLACE MY TANK, I WILL HAVE A FUEL SYSTEM THAT IS UNRELIABLE. I HAD NO WARNING INDICATOR LIGHTS OR DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES FOUND ON MY VEHICLE. IF I WERE TO RELY SOLELY ON MY GAUGE AND DISTANCE TO EMPTY, I WOULD HAVE RUN MY CAR OUT OF GAS AND PUT MYSELF AND FAMILY IN POTENTIAL DANGER. I HAVE PLACED MULTIPLE CALLS WITH FORD SERVICE AND DEALERSHIP TO HAVE THEM EXPLAIN WHAT FAILED IN THE FUEL SYSTEM THAT I CAUSED. THERE WAS NOTHING I DID WITH THE CAR THAT WOULD BE CONSIDERED NON TYPICAL USAGE. FINALLY, THE DEALERSHIP HAS PHOTOS THEY PLAN TO SHARE WITH ME. I CAN PROVIDE TO NHTSA WHEN I PICK UP MY CAR AFTER SERVICE WORK HAS BEEN COMPLETED TO REPLACE THE FUEL TANK.
FORD FOCUS TRANSMISSION JERKS AND SHUDDERS WHILE MOVING AND WHILE ACCELERATING . HAVE HAD MULTIPLE REPAIRS WITH NO FIX. HAVE HAD CAR STALL IN THE PAST WHILE TRYING TO ACCELERATE ON A CITY STREET WHILE TRAVELING AT ~35 MPH. IT FELT LIKE TRANSMISSION WENT TO 6TH GEAR INSTEAD OF 2ND AND STALLED THE ENGINE. PROBLEMS STARTED IMMEDIATELY AFTER PURCHASE, ~FEBRUARY 2012 STILL HAVE CAR NOW AND STILL DOING THE SHUDDERING AND JERKING WHILE DRIVING. PROBLEMS STARTED NEW ~100 MILES CURRENTLY AT ~85000MILES
FORD WILL NOT REPAIR THE TRANSMISSION CLUTCH FOR NO CHARGE. DROPS OUT OF GEAR, SHUDDERS, STALLS IN MOTION, CITY STREETS, TURNING AND HIGHWAYS. HAVE ASKED SEVERAL TIMES IN THE PAST TO REPAIR. NEEDS A RECALL ON VEHICLES.
MY WIFE AND I WERE DRIVING AND HAD FORTUNATELY JUST PULLED OVER AVOIDING AN ACCIDENT WHEN THE STEERING WHEEL ASSIST LIGHT CAME ON LOCKING UP THE STEERING AND MAKING IT EXTREMELY HARD TO STEER THE VEHICLE. WE GOT IT OVER TO QUICK LANE ( A FORD AFFILIATED SERVICE CENTER BY OUR HOME AND AS YOU CAN SEE BY THE DOCUMENTATION ANALYZED THE PROBLEM AND HAD TO REPLACE THE ELECTRONIC STEERING RACK AND REPROGRAM THE MODULE. THIS COST US $2530.24. I HAVE READ ON THE INTERNET AND AS YOU ARE AWARE THERE ARE MANY COMPLAINTS RELATED TO THIS ISSUE. WE WERE SURPRISED THERE WAS NO RECALL RELATE TO THIS, AND IF THERE IS I WASN'T AWARE OF OR MADE AWARE OF IT.
WHEN I PUT MY GEAR IN REVERSE, SOMETIMES MY CAR JERKS AND REVERSE FASTER THAN IT SHOULD OR OTHER TIMES THE CAR WOULD IDLE, I WOULD SEE THE RPM GOING UP AND HEAR THE RPM BUT THE CAR DOESNT MOVE. I'D HAVE TO HIT BRAKE AND TRY TO REVERSE AGAIN. WHEN I COME TO A STOP AND TRY TO DRIVE, THE VEHICLE EITHER JERKS OR JUST TAKES OFF. THE PROBLEM ALMOST HAPPENS EVERY TIME. OR WHEN I AM SLOWING DOWN, THE CAR WOULD JERK OR SHUDDER. WHENEVER I TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP, THEY JUST TELL ME THE SHUDDER/JERKS ARE IN THEIR NORMAL RANGE READING AND BASICALLY TELLS ME THAT IS NORMAL FOR THE VEHICLE TO DO. ALL THE SHUDDERING, JERKING, AND BEING HESITANT HAPPENS MOSTLY STARTING FROM A STATIONARY POSITION, LIKE AT A RED LIGHT OR A STOP SIGN. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING EVERY SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR IN 2016 AUGUST, AS A USED CAR. I'VE HAD TO GET A NEW CLUTCH, AND REPLACE THE NEW ONE BECAUSE IT WASN'T WORKING PROPERLY.
MY CAR WONT START ,RADIO,LOCKS ,LIGHTS ALL WORK. BUT UPON TURNING KEY,WONT START. NO NOISES . SOMETIMES THE REMOTE START WILL WORK. IF IT DOES NOT START ,IT WILL KEEP TRYING TO START IT OVER AND OVER WITHOUT ME EVEN TOUCHING THE REMOTE AGAIN.IT WILL START ABOUT 1 OUT OF EVERY 10 TIMES .KEEP TRYING AND SOONER OR LATER IT STARTS . 2012 FORD FOCUS , MIGHT BE IGNITION SWITCH ?
THE CAR JUTTERS UPON ACCELERATION WITH THE CHANGING OF GEARS. WHEN ATTEMPTING TO PASS CARS, THE TRANSMISSION SLIPS AND TAKES A SECOND TO GET INTO GEAR AND BEGIN ACCELERATING. PROBLEMS GAINING SPEED TO MERGE WITH HIGHWAY TRAFFIC. GETTING MUCH WORSE BY THE DAY.
I HAVE STALLED IN AN INTERSECTION BEFORE WITH ONCOMING TRAFFIC. WE ARE SCARED TO DRIVE IT AND IT IS MY ONLY CAR. MY CHILDREN WERE IN THE CAR WHEN WE STALLED IN AN INTERSECTION. IT CONTINUES TO STALL OR ALMOST STALL DAILY, IT SEEMS TO LOSE POWER AND THEN SPEED UP. IT ALSO JUST STALLED ENTIRELY ONE DAY WHILE DRIVING AND THEN WE HAVE OVER $1,000.00 IN BILLS FROM OUR MECHANIC. ALL OF THESE INCIDENTS OCCURRED WHILE THE CAR WAS IN MOTION. IT HAS HAPPENED ON LOCAL STREETS AND WHILE TURNING. ALSO I JUST 7/23 AS A DATE, BUT THIS HAPPENS DAILY
1) WHILE DRIVING IN CITY TURN SIGNALS STOPPED WORKING. NEVER WORKED AGAIN AFTER THAT. 2) WHILE DRIVING IN CITY AND HIGHWAY POWER STEERING GOES OUT INTERMITTENTLY. SHUTTING OFF VEHICLE AND RESTARTING GENERALLY FIXES THIS ISSUE. 3) WHILE DRIVING IN CITY VEHICLE STOPPED ACCELERATING AND GAVE NOTICE TO STOP THE VEHICLE AS SOON AS SAFELY POSSIBLE AS TRANSMISSION IS OVERHEATING. WAS STUCK ON SIDE OF ROAD FOR 30 MINUTES AFTER STOPPING VEHICLE AND SHUTTING OFF BEFORE COULD START AND COMPLETE DRIVE TO WORK. AFRAID TO DRIVE VEHICLE NOW AS THE TRANSMISSION HAD BEEN HAVING ISSUES BEFORE THAT. CLUTCH WAS REPLACED ONCE ALREADY AND IS INCLUDED IN THE FORD TRANSMISSION CLASS ACTION.
TAKATA RECALL : I WAS ON THE INTERSTATE AT ALMOST A COMPLETE STOP AND STARTED TO ACCELERATE AND THE CAR HAD A VIOLENT JERK AND ALMOST STALLED OUT. IT NEVER COMPLETELY STALLED OUT AND QUIT, BUT IT THREW THE CODE FOR THE CLUTCH ACTUATOR CIRCUIT LOW AND CONTINUES TO JERK IN THE LOWER GEARS FROM 1ST TO 2ND. AROUND 25-30 AND AGAIN SOME AROUND 40-45..HOWEVER, ONCE IT GETS TO 50+ THE CAR IS FINE.
THE DRIVER'S DOOR IS KEEP ON OPENING WHILE IN MOTION SO I HAVE TO REALLY HOLD ON TIGHT WITH THE DOOR WHILE DRIVING. I THINK BECAUSE THE LATCHKEY/LOCK BROKE OR SOMETHING... I'VE ALREADY GO TO FORD FOR THIS ONE BUT THEY SAID IT'S NOT ON THEIR RECALL LIST...

THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF AND COULD NOT BE RESTARTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 927,008.
THE VEHICLE SHUDDERS FROM A COMPETE STOP OR ACCELERATING THIS HAS HAPPENED SINCE PURCHASE OF THE VEHICLE. MOST RECENTLY THE CAR WILL ACCELERATE WHEN DRIVING OR IN WORST CASES WHILE BRAKING. THE VEHICLE HAS RAMPED UP TO 6000RPM WHILE BRAKING GOING DOWN HILL. UPON CONTACTING LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP ABOUT THE UNINTENDED ACCELERATION, THEY STATED THEY HAD NOT HEARD OF THIS ISSUE BEFORE. ADVISED ME TO STOP DRIVING THE VEHICLE AND HAVE IT TOWED TO THEIR FACILITY.
CONTINUES TO SHUDDER, HESITATION AND ROUGH SHIFTING WHILE DRIVING ON SURFACE STREETS AND HIGHWAYS AFTER TWO REPAIRS AND THREE RECALLS.
RECALL NOTICE NUMBER18V735 HAS NOT BEEN PERFORMED. I RECEIVED A NOTICE DECEMBER 2018 AND NOTHING HAS HAPPENED. I'M CONCERNED MY VEHICLE HAS AN OPEN ISSUE THAT HASN'T BEEN REMEDIATED. APPARENTLY, FORD HASN'T IDENTIFIED A SOLUTION. WHY HASN'T THIS BEEN RESOLVED?
WE BEGAN EXPERIENCING TRANSMISSION "SLIPPING" ABOUT 2 YEARS AGO, AROUND 120,000 MILES. THE CAR SHUDDERS AT LOWER SPEEDS AND WHEN YOU GO TO ACCELERATE FROM A STANDSTILL, IT SHAKES LIKE THE CAR IS GOING IN AND OUT OF NEUTRAL. WE LOOKED UP THE ISSUE AND IT APPEARS TO BE A BIG PROBLEM FOR FORDS EVERYWHERE BUT WE WERE TOLD WE WERE OUT OF WARRANTY. THE DEALER OFFERED TO DO A TRANSMISSION FLUID FLUSH TO SEE IF THAT WOULD HELP, BUT UNFORTUNATELY IT DIDN'T. OUR NEXT STEP WOULD NEED TO BE A NEW TRANSMISSION. WE RECENTLY TOOK THE CAR BACK IN TO THE DEALER BECAUSE WE HAD SEEN A MEMO FROM FORD THAT THEY WERE FIXING CARS LIKE OURS IF THEY SHOWED UP TO A DEALER BETWEEN 7/12-7/19. WE TOOK THE CAR IN ON 7/19. WE CALLED FORD CUSTOMER CARE (AS DIRECTED BY THE DEALER) TO OPEN A CASE # SO THE DEALER COULD PERFORM THE SPECIAL REPAIR AND STILL GET PAID. THEY DENIED THE DEALERS REQUEST TO FIX THE CAR AND I HAD TO CALL FORD CUSTOMER CARE BACK TO ASK ABOUT THE MEMO THAT SAID THEY WERE FIXING CARS THAT SHOWED UP BETWEEN 7/12-7/19. I TOLD THEM IT HAD BEEN DROPPED OFF AND THE REPAIR ORDER OPENED ON 7/19 TO WHICH THEY SAID I WAS OUT OF WARRANTY. I CONTINUED TO ASK ABOUT THE MEMO THE DEALER HAD SHOWN US, BUT INSTEAD THEY CONTINUED TO SIMPLY SAY I WAS OUT OF WARRANTY. NOW, AFTER SEVERAL CALLS TO THE FORD CUSTOMER CARE TEAM, THEY SAY THEY DON'T HAVE AN ANSWER YET BUT THE SUPERVISOR WILL CALL ME BACK IN 2-3 BUSINESS DAYS. THE CAR IS STILL AT THE DEALER AND I HAVEN'T HAD A CAR FOR ALMOST A WEEK, AS THEY HAVE NOT BEEN INSTRUCTED TO FIX IT YET BY FORD. THE DEALER HAS BEEN VERY NICE AND HELPFUL THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE PROCESS, BUT FORD HAS BEEN INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATING AND WON'T FOLLOW THROUGH ON THE ORIGINAL PROMISE THEY SHOWED THE DEALER IN THE MEMO. EVERY TIME I CALL THEY ACT LIKE THEY NEVER SENT THAT MEMO.
FORD TRANSMISSION DPS6 CLUTCH SHUDDER. I'VE TAKEN MY CAR TO THE FORD DEALERSHIP FOR REGULAR OIL CHANGES SINCE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE. NUMEROUS TIMES I'VE COMPLAINED TO THEM THAT THE CLUTCH SHUDDERS AND THE EXTENDED WARRANTY OF THE INPUT SHAFT SEALS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. EACH TIME THEY TOLD ME IT WAS FINE. NOW THAT THE 100K MILE WARRANTY IS UP (I NOW HAVE 125K MILES), THEY WANT TO CHARGE ME $2.5K TO REPLACE THE CLUTCH. ALL BECAUSE THESE SEALS HAVE BEEN BAD AND WASN'T REPLACED WHEN THE WARRANTY WAS VALID. WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A STOP, I HAVE LOSS OF POWER AND IS DANGEROUS WHEN VOIDING TO ONCOMING TRAFFIC. I'VE CALLED FORD AND THEY WILL NOT PERFORM THE REPAIR THEMSELVES STATING TOO MANY MILES AND OUT OF WARRANTY. THE SHUDDER IS INTERMITTENT AND MAKES ME SCARED TO DRIVE MY VEHICLE NOW. FORD KNOWS THIS IS A FAILED PART AND SIMPLY WILL NOT COVER THE WORK. THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY WHEN I FIRST BROUGHT UP THIS ISSUE, THUS SAVING THIS MORE COSTLY REPAIR SHORTLY AFTER. I EVEN NOTIFIED THE DEALERSHIP DURING THE JULY 11-19 WINDOW WHEN DEALERS WERE "SECRETLY" TOLD TO FIX THESE ISSUES. THE DEALER HAD MY VEHICLE IN THEIR SHOP FROM 7/21-7-29 JUST TO CONFIRM THE SUSPICION I'VE HAD FOR 3+ YEARS. I HAD TO PAY FOR THE "DIAGNOSTIC" AS WELL TO CONFIRM THIS. I AM NOW SCARED OF THIS COMPANY AND THIS VEHICLE. I STILL HAVE 15MO OF PAYMENTS LEFT.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DRIVER'S RESIDENCE. A MECHANIC CAME TO THE CONTACT'S HOME AND DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS LATER TAKEN TO ANOTHER INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND, WHILE DRIVING, THE TRANSMISSION WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE FAILURE INDICATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION WAS OVERHEATING. THE MECHANIC DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS LATER TAKEN TO AUTONATION CHEVROLET VALENCIA (23649 VALENCIA BLVD, SANTA CLARITA, CA 91355) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TCM CODE AND THE DUAL CLUTCH NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE ON THE WAY TO THE DEALER, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND WAS PUSHED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED, BUT HESITATED TO DRIVE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: CAS17998196-C0F7C0. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 115,000.
THREADS ON THE OUTER TIE ROD END STRIPPED ON THE DRIVER SIDE. TIE ROD END CAME OFF WHILE I WAS DRIVING! CALLED SEVERAL LOCAL PARTS DEPARTMENTS AND FUNNY THING IS THEY REPORT THAT'S THE USUAL SIDE THAT IS AFFECTED. EVERY STORE IN A 20 MILE RADIUS HAD RIGHT TIE RODS BUT NO LEFT.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE TECHNICIAN REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 18V735000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 148,347.
I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THE SAME PART MULTIPLE TIMES. THE TCM SEEMS LIKE IT NEEDS REPLACED ALMOST EVERY TIME I GET AN OIL CHANGE. EVERY TIME MY CAR GETS FIXED ANOTHER PROBLEM APPEARS. MY CAR WILL NOT GO IN REVERSE RIGHT NOW, AND HAS A MISFIRE IN CYLINDER 1 WHICH I KNOW THE MISFIRES HAPPEN OFTEN. BUT THERE IS ALSO A LEAK IN THE EVAP WHICH HAPPENED RIGHT AFTER MY TANK WAS FIXED FOR THE DEFORMATION OF THE TANK RECALL. MY TRANSMISSION TICKS, AND THE CLUTCH PLATE NEEDS REPLACED. I HAVE AN AUTOMATIC FORD FOCUS BUT THE CAR IS CONSTANTLY SHUDDERING. THE VEHICLE HAS THE CLUTCH SHUDDER WHEN I'M AT A COMPLETE STOP AND I PRESS THE GAS PEDAL. IT DOESN'T MATTER IF IT'S LIGHT OR NOT.
THIS IS THE THIRD SUMMER MY TRANSMISSION STOPPED WORKING. I WAS DRIVING TO WORK ON THE HIGH WAY AND WHEN I STEPPED ON THE GAS PEDAL THE ACCELERATION METER WENT UP BUT THE CAR WAS SLOWING DOWN. I PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND THE TRANSMISSION MALFUNCTION SCREEN CAME UP ON THE DASHBOARD AND THE CAR NEEDED TO BE TOWED TO A SHOP. EVER TIME THIS HAPPENED (3 SO FAR) I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND IT COST ME $1200+ TO REPAIR.
I BOUGHT MY CPO 2012 FOCUS IN 2015. WITHIN DAYS, I EXPERIENCED THE TRANSMISSION LAGGING AND THE CAR EXCESSIVELY ROLLING BACK IN REVERSE ON INCLINES (I LITERALLY HAVE TO DRIVE WITH TWO FEET WHEN BRAKING ON AN INCLINE IN MY AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION CAR OR I WILL ROLL BACKWARDS INTO THE NEXT CAR!) I HAD THE CAR RE-FLASHED ONCE AT THE DEALERSHIP, BUT IT DID NOT DO ANYTHING. AFTER FURTHER RESEARCH, I WAS HESITANT ON TAKING MY CAR BACK BECAUSE OTHER OWNERS ONLINE SAID WORK PERFORMED BY THE DEALERSHIP ONLY MADE MATTERS WORSE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 FORD FOCUS. WHILE AT AN INTERSECTION, THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL, BUT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE. ALSO, THE TRANSMISSION MALFUNCTION SERVICE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT MOVED TO THE SHOULDER OF THE ROAD, TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF AND BACK ON, AND THE VEHICLE RETURNED TO NORMAL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO HEALEY FORD LINCOLN (2528 NY-17M, GOSHEN, NY 10924, (877) 706-3640) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE DEALER REPLACED THE DUAL CLUTCH AND UPDATED THE PCM, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE WARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 129,000.
MY FORD FOCUS SHUTTERS AND DOES NOT ACCELERATE PROPERLY. I HAVE HAD MY DUAL CLUTCH REPLACED BY FORD 2 TIMES AND THE PROBLEMS PERSIST. THE CONTACT CALLED HER BOYFRIEND TO HELP PUSH THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S HOME. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 152,300.

HANDLES STEADY INTERSTATE SPEEDS FINE, BUT SPEED CHANGING RESULTS IN VEHICLE LOSING RESPONSIVENESS. CITY DRIVING/TURNING AFFECTED AS WELL.
I MADE A RIGHT TURN OUT OF A PARKING LOT, PUT MY FOOT ON THE ACCELERATOR AND MY CAR WOULD NOT GO ANY FASTER. I PRESSED HARDER AND HARDER ON THE ACCELERATOR AND MY CAR STILL WOULDN'T GO ANY FASTER. I PULLED OFF ON A SIDE STREET TO GET OUT OF THE TRAFFIC AND PUT MY CAR IN PARK. I RAN THE SHIFTER THROUGH THE GEARS, PUT MY CAR BACK IN DRIVE AND IT STILL WOULD NOT GO VERY FAST. I TURNED AROUND AND HEADED BACK TO MY HOUSE AND DROVE AS FAST AS I COULD WHICH WAS ABOUT 5 MILES AN HOUR. I WENT BACK INTO THE PARKING LOT AND PUT MY CAR IN REVERSE AND IT WOULD NOT GO IN REVERSE AT ALL. I PUT IT IN PARK, AGAIN I RAN IT THROUGH THE GEARS, PUT IT IN REVERSE AND IN WOULD NOT GO BACKWARDS STILL. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME I NOTICED PROBLEMS WITH THIS TRANSMISSION. I HAVE BROUGHT THIS CAR BACK TO THE DEALER TWICE BECAUSE OF THE TRANSMISSION AND TWICE THEY HAVE MADE REPAIRS ON THE TRANSMISSION. I HAVE ONLY OWNED THIS CAR SINCE OCTOBER 2018. BOTH TIMES I HAD IT BACK AT THE DEALER THEY CLAIM TO HAVE CHANGED SOME MODULE IN THE TRANSMISSION BUT YET I GO TO MY FORDPASS ACCOUNT AND THESE REPAIRS HAVE YET TO BE DOCUMENTED BY THE FORD DEALER. CALLED FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE AGAIN TODAY ONLY TO BE TOLD THEY WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR CONTRACTED DEALER... I'VE BEEN IN MULTIPLE TIMES TOO HAVE IT FIXED AND ITS BEEN WORSE AFTER EACH TIME. IT'S STUTTERING WHILE DRIVING, BUNNY HOPPING WHILE ACCELERATING, MAKING GRINDING NOISES, IT'S ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO DRIVE UP A STEEP HILL DUE TO THIS, IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO GET INTO A FREEWAY AND GET UP TO SPEED QUICKLY ENOUGH TO KEEP FROM GETTING HIT.
