THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN THE DEALER 5 TIMES FOR TRANSMISSION RELATED ISSUES. THEY HAVE REPROGRAMMED THE PCM, TCM 3 TIMES. REPLACED THE TCM ONCE, REBUILT THE TRANSMISSION. THE CAR STILL SHOWS SIGNS OF SHUDDERING AND VIBRATION DUE TO THE TRANSMISSION SEALS LEAKING ON THE CLUTCHES. THE LAST TIME THE CAR WAS IN, THE TRANSMISSION DIDN'T "LOSE ENOUGH RPM'S" TO WARRANT REPAIR, ALTHOUGH THE DEALER AND MECHANIC STATED THE CAR SHOULD NOT DRIVE THAT WAY. NOW THE EXTENDED WARRANTY HAS EXPIRED FOR THE CUSTOMER CARE 14M01 AND FORD WILL NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT AND WANTS ME TO PAY $1600.00 FOR THE REPAIR. THE CAR HAS LOW POWER, WHEN PULLING OUT ONTO THE ROADWAY IT HESITATES AND SOMETIMES IS VERY SLOW TO MOVE. THIS CAN CREATE QUITE A HAZARD WHEN PULLING OUT INTO TRAFFIC
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 FORD FOCUS. WHILE DRIVING, THE VEHICLE STALLED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HIGHWAY AND THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO COAST THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS POWERED OFF AND RESTARTED, THE VEHICLE DROVE NORMALLY. ON ANOTHER OCCASION, WHILE ATTEMPTING TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE, IT FAILED TO START. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO ROGEL FORD (LOCATED AT 26167 MS-27, CRYSTAL SPRINGS, MS 39059, (601) 892-3673) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL PUMP FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. FURTHERMORE, THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE DOOR FAILED TO CLOSE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO ROGEL FORD WHERE THE DOOR WAS REPAIRED, BUT NOT DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED BY THE DEALER THAT THEY ALSO REPROGRAMMED THE POWER TRAIN MODULE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FUEL GAUGE WOULD SHOW FULL WHEN IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE AT HALF A TANK. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES AND STATED THAT ROGEL FORD REPAIRED THE VEHICLE PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 18V735000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 159,000.
THE TRANSMISSION IN MY VEHICLE IS A DPS6 DUEL CLUTCH TRANSMISSION MADE BY FORD. IT HAS BEEN PULLING CODES FOR FORK POSITION A I HAVE TAKEN IT TO A FORD DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIR 2 TIMES IN THREE WEEKS LAST TIME I GOT VEHICLE BACK IT PULLED 4 TRANSMISSION CODES WITHIN 1 HOUR OF GETTING CAR BACK AND NOW WILL NOT SHIFT OUT OF 1ST GEAR AND WHEN IT DOES AND YOU COME TO A COMPLETE STOP YOU HAVE TO TURN THE CAR OFF FOR 15 MINUTES BEFORE YOU CAN DRIVE FORWARD AGAIN. I HAVE CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP ABOUT IT THEY SAID THEY HAVE DONE EVERYTHING FORD HAS TOLD THEM TO DO, I HAVE CALLED FORD MOTOR COMPANY AND COMPLAINED AND THEY HAVE DONE NOTHING. MY VEHICLE IS UNSAFE FOR MY CHILD AND I TO BE IN. IT HAS BEEN PARKED AND NONE RUNNING SINCE 5/29/19.
UNSURE WHAT IS WRONG. HOWEVER, I HAVE HAD MY CAR IN 2 TWICE FOR A SHUDDER, JERKING, AND HARD SHIFTING. THE DEALERSHIP FIXED THE HARD SHIFTING FOR A COST, BUT THE SHUDDERING WITH NEVER GOT FIXED HAS BEEN HAPPENING EVEN BEFORE THEY RESET OR REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE. IT SHUDDERS GOING UP STEP HILLS, AND AT TIMES WHEN ACCELERATING. THIS HAPPENS FREQUENTLY, AND WE WERE TOLD THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM, AND WE SHOULDN'T BE ALARMED. HOWEVER AFTER DRIVING EVERY DAY FOR A LIVING, THIS DOESN'T FEEL OR SOUND CORRECT, ITS DEFINITELY NOT SAFE.
JERKING DURING TAKE OFF AND GEAR SHIFTING. WHILE DRIVING CAR WILL JERK AT LOW SPEED BUT RISE TO 4 SPEED. TOOK TO DEALERSHIP THEY SAY IT'S TRANSMISSION CLUTCH SHUDDER, MY THIRD REPLACEMENT AND IT'S A ISSUE THT CONTINUES TO HAPPEN. $1400.00 REPAIR
THERE WAS MULTIPLE RECALLS ON THE CLUTCH FOR MY CAR. THE CLUTCH HAS BEEN CHANGED 3+ TIMES AND IT IS STILL BROKEN. AND FORD REFUSES TO FIX THE PROBLEM. THE CAR WILL SLIP GEAR WHEN DRIVING THEREFORE CAUSING THE CAR TO LOSE MOTION AND HAS ALMOST CAUSED MULTIPLE ACCIDENTS. THE CAR ALSO WILL NOT PICK UP SPEED DUE TO SLIPPING OF GEAR. THIS UNFIXED ISSUE HAS CAUSED ME END UP WITH NO CAR AND A NEWBORN BABY.
WHEN PARKED AND GOING INTO REVERSE, THE CONSOLE LIT UP WITH "TRANSMISSION MALFUNCTION SERVICE NOW" AND IT WOULD NOT GO INTO REVERSE. WE REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE, BUT A FEW DAYS LATER IT WOULD NOT EVEN GO INTO GEAR.
The contact owns a 2012 Ford Focus. The contact stated while the vehicle was charging, the cooling system continued to stay on and failed to decrease the battery temperature. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact also stated when attempting to charge the vehicle while the temporary was high, the "house message" would say it's hot outside plug in your vehicle. The contact took the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing the air conditioning compressor to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but continued to experience a failure. The vehicle was taken back to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing the battery coolant pump and filter to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but continued to experience a failure. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer for the third time, where it was diagnosed with needing the refrigerant to be refilled testing was completed. The contact was informed after that testing the battery chiller block and the refrigerant line was needing to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but continued to experience failure. The vehicle was taken back to a local dealer where it was diagnosed with needing the coolant filter to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but continued to experience failure. The contact stated he began to monitor the failure and noticed the coolant was not functioning. The contact noticed the battery coolant diverter valve was the cause of the failure. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 75,000.
I WAS DRIVING MY CAR IN A RURAL AREA GOING ABOUT 45 MPH WHEN THE CAR STARTED JERKING AND REVING NEAR 6 RPM. THE CAR WILL NO LONGER DRIVE IN REVERSE AND IS UNDRIVABLE.
LOSS OF DRIVE WHILE IN MOTION. I HAD TO COAST TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD IN BUSY TRAFFIC. LIKELY WORN CLUTCH ON AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION.

CAR STUTTERS FROM STARTING OUT TAKES TOO LONG TO ACCELERATE AND FRIENDS HAVE SAID WHAT'S WRONG WITH THE CAR .IT FEELS LIKE THE TRANSMISSION IS SLIPPING
THE ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING GOES OUT WITHOUT WARNING WHILE DRIVING ON A CITY STREET !!! THE INTERNET IS TEAMING WITH COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS ON THIS VEHICLE. DOES SOMEONE HAVE TO DIE BEFORE THE NHTSA TAKES ACTION ?
THE REAR TAIL LIGHTS ARE SUBJECT TO A "BRAKE LAMP BULB FAULT" DUE TO THE SHODDY WIRING AND WIRING HARNESS THAT AFFIXES THE WIRES TO THE TRUNK LID. AFTER MANY OPEN AND CLOSE ITERATIONS OF THE TRUNK LID, WIRES BECOME BRITTLE AND FRAY, AND EVENTUALLY FAULT. THE PROBLEM IS WIDESPREAD THROUGHOUT THE FORUMS WITH MANY INDIVIDUALS RESORTING TO CUTTING THE CABLES AND RESOLDERING OR REATTACHING THEM WITH REDUCED WIRE TENSION. THIS IS A MAJOR PROBLEM AND CAN CAUSE POTENTIAL REAR END ACCIDENTS WHEN THE BRAKE AND TAIL LIGHTS FAIL TO ILLUMINATE. THE FAULT APPEARS AS SOON AS THE CAR TURNS ON, AND CAN SPORADICALLY GO AWAY WHEN DRIVING. AS SPORADICALLY AS IT DISAPPEARS, IT REAPPEARS AND REMAINS. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY A DESIGN FLAW WITH WIRING NOT SHIELDED IN ANY WAY AND SIMPLY WRAPPED IN TAPE.
DRIVER'S SIDE REAR DOOR FAILED TO LATCH. TOOK VEH TO DEALER. THEY ADVISED REAR DOOR LATCH FAILURE REMOVED DOOR PANEL AND REPLACED DOOR LATCH. I ASKED IF THIS WAS A RECALL AND WAS TOLD NO I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR IT, THAT THIS VEHICLE WAS NOT ON THE RECALL ISSUED BY NHTSA 16V643000 2012-1015 FORD FOCUS. IF THIS IS CORRECT MAYBE YOU NEED TO EXTEND THE RECALL. SEE ATTACHMENT WITH BILL FOR REPAIRS.
2012 FORD FOCUS REPEATEDLY JERKS UPON ACCELERATION. STALLS ON HOT DAYS AFTER EXTENDED OPERATION, DASH WARNING SAYS "TRANSMISSION OVERHEATING, PULL OVER FOR FIVE MINUTES". WILL NOT CLIMB HILLS WITHOUT ENGINE RACING, OFTEN QUITS ON UPHILL ROADS, OR WILL NOT KEEP UP SPEED. TRANSMISSION QUIT ENTIRELY ON MAY 20, 2019 IN TOWN OF EAGER, AZ, WITH MY DAUGHTER DRIVING IT ON HER WAY HOME FROM COLLEGE. WAS ABLE TO HAVE HER FOLLOW ME BACK TO EL PASO. CAR HAS CONTINUED TO STOP DUE TO TRANSMISSION ISSUE JUST DRIVING AROUND EL PASO CITY LIMITS. CAR TRANSMISSION WAS SERVICED TWICE IN 2016 AT FORD DEALERSHIP AT OWNER'S EXPENSE.
FUEL GAUGE SUDDENLY INACCURATE- SHOWING FULLER THAN IT SHOULD BE. NOTICED DISCREPANCY AFTER DRIVING A SHORT DISTANCE, SHOPPED AND PLANNED TO GET GAS ON THE WAY HOME. WHEN I STARTED THE ENGINE THE GAUGE WENT FROM 1/2 FULL TO 3/4 FULL. IT REMAINED 3/4 FULL WITH ADDITIONAL DRIVING OF MULTIPLE TRIPS. I WAS TOLD BY THE LOCAL FORD DEALER THIS WAS NOT COVERED UNDER RECALL 18532.
WHILE TRAVELING ON CITY STREETS AND ON THE INTERSTATE THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCES LOSS OF POWER, SHIFTING ISSUES AND INABILITY TO ACCELERATE IN TRAFFIC CREATING AN UNSAFE CONDITION WHILE TRAVELING ON ROADWAYS
WE BOUGHT THE 2012 FORD FOCUS AS A CAR FOR OUR DAUGHTER. WHEN TEST DRIVING IT, FOR A SHORT PERIOD, WE DIDN'T NOTICE ANYTHING WITH THE TRANSMISSION. BUT NOW THAT WE ARE DRIVING IT MORE, THERE IS A SHUDDER WHEN WE ACCELERATE. LIKE DRIVING A STICK SHIFT WHEN YOU TAKE OFF AND DIDN'T DO IT SMOOTHLY. IT LACKS IN POWER AT TIMES WHEN TURNING ONTO THE ROAD, WHICH SCARES ME AT TIMES WHEN OTHER CARS ARE COMING AND WE CAN'T GET IT TO ACCELERATE. THE MORE I'M READING ABOUT THIS CAR, I AM SERIOUSLY SO SCARED FOR MY DAUGHTER TO DRIVE IT ALONE. EXTREMELY SCARED!!! AS SOMEONE WHO SAVED TO GET WHAT WE THOUGHT WAS A GOOD CAR FOR OUR DAUGHTER, I FEEL WE ARE STUCK WITH IT. I WOULDN'T FEEL RIGHT SELLING THIS TO SOMEONE ELSE, I WISH THE PREVIOUS SELLER HAD FELT THE SAME WAY!! PEOPLE ARE PUTTING THEIR FAMILIES IN THESE CARS, THEIR LOVED ONES. THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL ON THESE VEHICLES SO WE CAN HAVE A CHANCE TO GET SAFER CARS TO PROTECT US. I DID TAKE THE VEHICLE IN FOR IT'S OTHER RECALL REGARDING SOMETHING WITH THE FUEL TANK, WHERE WE HAD TO KEEP IT HALF FULL. THE MECHANIC TOOK THE CAR FOR A DRIVE AND NOTED THE SHUDDERING ON THE VEHICLE, BUT THEY WANTED $150 TO DIAGNOSE IT. AND COULDN'T TELL ME IF THAT WAS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. IF FORD KNOWS THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM, THEY WOULD KNOW IF IT'S COVERED. THEIR JUST TRYING TO GET MONEY OUT OF ME.

I HAVE A FORD FOCUS WITH THE FAULTY TRANSMISSION. THE DEALER ALREADY INSTALLED 2 CLUTCHES AND EVERY TIME I BRING IT BACK NOW THEY JUST REPROGRAM IT WHICH MAYBE LASTS ONE DAY. I SPOKE WITH CORPORATE A FEW YEARS AGO THAT IS WHEN THEY REPLACED THE 2ND CLUTCH. THE CAR WILL JUST DOWN SHIFT AS I'M DRIVING IT OUT OF THE BLUE, BUCKS, CHATTERS LIKE ITS GOING TO BLOW UP AND A DELAY IN STARTING. IT'S NOT A SAFE CAR TO BE DRIVING THEY WONT DO ANYTHING ABOUT THESE VEHICLES NOW YOU JUST GET THE BRUSH OFF FROM THE DEALER. WHEN THEY REPLACED THE FIRST CLUTCH THE DEALER ADMITTED THAT IS WAS THE WORST THAT THEY HAVE SEEN.
MY HUSBAND WAS DRIVING THE CAR TO WORK ON THE INTERSTATE SHORTLY AFTER 6AM IN THE POURING RAIN. TRAFFIC WAS MOVING AT ROUGHLY 65 MILES AN HOUR. AS TWO HIGHWAYS WERE MERGING TOGETHER, HIS VEHICLE LOST POWER. RPM'S WENT HIGH BUT VEHICLE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. HE PUT ON FLASHERS AND PROCEEDED TO COAST INTO RIGHT HAND LANES, BUT ONLY HAD ENOUGH POWER TO LAND IN THE GORE, WHICH IS THE V WHERE TWO HIGHWAYS COME TOGETHER. HE TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF AND TRIED TO RESTART, BUT IT WOULD NOT RESTART. IT TOOK 1 AND 1/2 HOURS FOR RESCUE VEHICLE TO ARRIVE WHILE TRAFFIC SPED BY ON BOTH SIDES OF HIM, LEADING HIM TO BELIEVE HE WAS LIVING HIS LAST MOMENTS. HORRIFYING! COURTESY PATROL GOT MY HUSBAND TO SAFETY, TOW TRUCK RETRIEVED VEHICLE AND TOOK IT TO DEALERSHIP. THEY SAID THAT ESSENTIALLY, THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTED INTO NEUTRAL AS HE DROVE DOWN THE HIGHWAY AND THERE WAS NOTHING HE COULD HAVE DONE TO STOP IT. THEY REPLACED THE F MODULE-TRANSMISSION CONTROL AT N/C, AND ALSO PERFORMED UNRELATED PCM UPDATE FOR A RECALL. WE TRADED OFF THE VEHICLE YESTERDAY. TRANSMISSION HAD BEEN REPAIRED NUMEROUS TIMES FOR SHAKING OR STALLING.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO PERFORMANCE FORD LINCOLN BOUNTIFUL (LOCATED AT 1800 S MAIN ST, BOUNTIFUL, UT 84010, (888) 476-8961) WHERE AN APPOINTMENT WAS SCHEDULED TO HAVE THE VEHICLE REPAIRED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 13V475000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, EQUIPMENT) AND 18V735000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE EXHIBITED THE SAME SYMPTOMS AS LISTED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 12V149000 (VISIBILITY) REGARDING THE WIPERS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED FOR THE WIPER FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 116,000.
HAD 2 ISSUES WITH DUAL-CLUTCH TRANSMISSION SINCE BUYING THE VEHICLE. CLUTCH WAS REPLACED ON MAY 13TH, 2019 FOR MY 2012 FORD FOCUS. I WAS STUCK ON THE HIGHWAY TWICE FOR THIS OCCURRENCE WITH THE VEHICLE JERKING WHILE IN MOTION THEN THE "CHECK ENGINE" LIGHT COMING ON AND THE CAR STALLING OUT. THE VEHICLE THEN CAME TO A STOP AND COULD NOT BE RESTARTED. THE COST OF THE REPAIR WAS 2667.46 DOLLARS TO REPLACE THE CLUTCH. THE PREVIOUS TIME WAS DUE TO A PROBLEM WITH THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE BUT WAS FIXED WITH NO ISSUES.
I WAS DRIVING SOUTHBOUND IN THE LEFT LANE ON I-495 FROM MD INTO VA, ABOUT TO GET TO THE EZ PASS CAMERA. I SELDOM USE THE PASS, THEREFORE IT IS NOT AFFIXED TO THE WINDSHIELD. I HAD PLACED IT ON THE DASHBOARD IN ANTICIPATION OF THE UPCOMING CAMERA. TRAFFIC WAS ALTERNATELY SLOWING DOWN AND SPEEDING UP TO APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH. THE DRIVER AHEAD OF ME SUDDENLY SLOWED NEARLY TO A STOP, SO I PRESSED MY BRAKES, WHICH CAUSED THE EZ PASS TO SLIDE ACROSS THE DASHBOARD AND UP AGAINST THE WINDSHIELD. UNABLE TO REACH IT WITH MY SEATBELT ON, AND BECAUSE THE CAR WAS BARELY MOVING, I UNFASTENED THE SEAT BELT TO RETRIEVE THE PASS. AT THE SAME TIME THE DRIVER AHEAD OF ME SLIGHTLY INCREASED HER SPEED, THEN SUDDENLY SLOWED AGAIN, WHICH I DID, TOO. HOWEVER, THIS TIME I HAD TO PUNCH THE BRAKE. IT WENT STRAIGHT TO THE FLOOR, MY CAR SPED UP, AND I WAS UNABLE TO AVOID REAR-ENDING THE CAR AHEAD. IT WAS SUCH A HELPLESS FEELING TO TRY AND STOP AND HAVE NO BRAKES! A "CRASH MODE" MESSAGE SHOWED UP ON SCREEN BEHIND THE STEERING WHEEL AND THE SYNC SYSTEM AUTOMATICALLY DIALED 911. THE OTHER DRIVER GOT OUT OF HER CAR AND WALKED BACK TO ASK IF I WAS OKAY. I WAS FINE, BUT BECAUSE TRAFFIC IN THE RIGHT LANE WAS SPEEDING PAST, AND SOME CARS WERE EVEN PASSING US ON THE SHOULDER, I DID NOT ATTEMPT TO GET OUT OF MY CAR. EVENTUALLY THE STATE POLICE, EMTS AND A TOW-TRUCK ARRIVED. MY STEERING NO LONGER WORKED, BUT ONCE THE OTHER CAR WAS TOWED OUT OF THE WAY THE RESPONDING OFFICER WAS ABLE TO WALK ALONGSIDE MY CAR, PUSHING IT ONTO THE SHOULDER WHILE I ATTEMPTED TO STEER. THE TOW DRIVER TOOK OVER FROM THERE. I RODE WITH HIM BACK TO MD TO THE BODY SHOP OF THE FORD DEALER WHERE I PURCHASED THE CAR IN 2011 AND HAVE HAD ALL MAINTENANCE PERFORMED AND PREVIOUS CLUTCH ISSUES ADDRESSED. THE POWER ASSISTING WHEEL STEERING HAS MALFUNCTION AND LEADS TO VERY DIFFICULT WHEEL TURNING. IT INCREASE THE RISK OF ACCIDENT WHEN THE MALFUNCTION WAS SUDDENLY HAPPENS WHEN DRIVING ON ROAD. FORD FRANCHISE DEALER STORE HAS VERIFIED THAT THIS ISSUE HAPPENS ON 2012-2014 FORD FUSION AND FOCUS AND THE ISSUE HAPPENS WITHOUT CAR BEING HIT OR INVOLVED IN ANY ACCIDENT. FORD HAS ALREADY ANNOUNCED RECALLS FOR 2011-2014 ESCAPE, EXPLORER, AND MARINER FOR POWER STEERING DEFECT. I HAVE EXPERIENCED THE EXACT SAME SITUATION DESCRIBED FOR THOSE RECALLS. 11/13/17 MY TRANSMISSION STALLED, MAKING LOUD SHUDDER NOISES AND FAILED TO ACCELERATE. FORD REPLACED THE TCM AND REPROGRAMMED THE CLUTCH. THERE WAS RECALL FOR SAFETY LATCHES ON THE DOORS TO BE REPLACED AS WELL. 10/24/18 VEHICLE STARTED AND WOULD CUT OFF. ATTEMPTED TO DRIVE IT BUT THEN THE CAR DIED IN THE DRIVE WAY. HAD TO HAVE CAR TOWED. REPLACED FUEL PUMP MODULE AND GASKETS. TOTAL OF $810.96 NOT INCLUDING TOWING FEE. THE VERY SAME NIGHT I PICKED MY CAR UP AFTER IT BEING FIXED A RECALL WAS ISSUED FOR FUEL PUMP MODULE FAILURE. FORD REFUSED TO REFUND MY MONEY AND INSISTED THAT SINCE THE FUEL PUMP WAS NOT AFFECTED IT WAS NOT RELATED. I HAD TO GO BACK TO FORD 10/3018 TO HAVE FUEL VAPOR AND SEALS REPLACED. SO 2/3 PARTS NEEDED REPLACING OF WHICH COST ME. 5/4/19 I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND MY TRANSMISSION WENT OUT. THE CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE, BRAKE OR DOWNSHIFT. I WAS STUCK AT 60MPH. I HAD TO ALLOW THE CAR TO COAST HOME. HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED THREE SEPEARTE TIMES DURING THIS EVENT. MY CAR WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY AND POWERTRAIN INCLUDES ALL INTERNALLY LUBED PARTS. FORD TOLD ME THAT THE ONE SPECIFIC PART THAT NEEDED REPLACING INSIDE MY TRANSMISSION, WHICH IS INTERNALLY LUBED WAS NOT COVERED. THIS REPAIR INCLUDING TOWING COST ME $2,400.00 NOW THERE IS ANOTHER 2 RECALLS OUT ON MY VERY CAR FOR TCM/ TRANSMISSION REPLACE/SHUDDER. THIS HAS BEEN THE MOST DANGEROUS CAR I'VE EVER OWNED. EVERY TIME I TURN AROUND I'M SHELLING OUT HUNDREDS AND NOW THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS FOR A CAR I AM STILL PAYING ON.

THROUGHOUT THESE EPISODES, THE GEAR INDICATOR ON THE DASHBOARD GOES FROM HIGHLIGHTING THE CURRENT DRIVE ("D") GEAR, OR IN SOME CASES THE REVERSE ("R") GEAR OR PARKING MODE ("P"), TO NOTHING AT ALL. WHEN THE GAS PEDAL IS PUSHED WHILE THIS IS HAPPENING, THE ENGINE WILL REV, BUT VEHICLE WILL NOT MOVE. USER WON'T EVEN HAVE A CHANCE TO PULL OVER SINCE IT WILL STOP DEAD. EPISODES ARE USUALLY BRIEF, AVERAGING A COUPLE MINUTES, HOWEVER WHEN THIS DOES HAPPEN IT CAN CAUSE AN ACCIDENT DUE TO A SUDDEN DECREASE OF SPEED.
