While operating the vehicle I lost all power steering. This nearly caused an accident as I was driving in city traffic at the time. Upon taking it to a dealership I was informed it was a $1500 repair caused by the electrical system. My vehicle was purchased new and has less than 54,000 miles
There is a loud electrical crakle sound coming from the speakers. It also does it when the car is off. It's very startling and I believe it's dangerous.
ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT. VEHICLE REQUIRES A GREAT EFFORT TO TURN DIRECTIONS ESPECIALLY AT A STAND STILL.
MY 2014 DOESN'T HAVE ALL THOSE FANCY SAFETY FEATURES LISTED BUT MY HORN DOESN'T WORK. I NEVER OWNED A VEHICLE THAT THE HORN HAS JUST STOPPED WORKING. I THOUGHT IT WAS A BLOWN FUSE BUT TURNS OUT IT'S ANOTHER ISSUE WITH THE CAR ON TOP OF THE PREVIOUS RECALLS IT HAS HAD. I CAN'T EVEN RENEW MY CAR REGISTRATION UNTIL THIS IS FIXED AND IT'S A SAFETY HAZARD. I CAN'T EVEN WARN DRIVERS WHEN THEY ARE ABOUT TO CRASH INTO ME ON THE HIGHWAY. FORD WANTS TO CHARGE AN OVER THE TOP PRICE TO LOOK AND FIX THE PROBLEM BUT THERE IS NOT GUARANTEE THAT IT WILL EVEN BE COMPLETELY FIXED SEEING AS ANOTHER FORD FOCUS OWNER I MET IN PERSON AND WHAT I'VE READ ONLINE HAVE ALSO HAS ISSUES WITH THEIR HORN NOT WORKING ANYMORE. THIS SHOULD BE UNDER A RECALL WITH FORD.
The transmission shudder is so significant that I cannot merge onto streets (city speeds or highway speeds) without causing traffic to slow down. There is a significant delay between the gear disengaging and the next gear engaging, all while shutter with sounds that feel like the car is falling apart. It started years ago, and it continues to this day. It continues to get worse and we are unable to sell this vehicle due to the safety concerns. No warning lights/check engine lights are illuminated on the dashboard.
I HAVE A RECALL ON MY CAR FOR HAVING DOOR HANDLE LATCH PROBLEMS. IT HAS LOWERED THE ESTIMATED AMOUNT MY CAR IS WORTH. WOULD LOVE IF SOMEONE COULD SOLVE THIS UNCALLED FOR ISSUE FOR ME BEFORE MY DOOR LATCHES END UP BREAKING AND CAUSING ME TO GET HURT OR SOMEONE ELSE.
TRANSMISSION DOESN'T WORK CORRECTLY
I CHANGED THE BATTERY AFTER I LEFT THE CAR SITTING IN MY GARAGE FOR SEVERAL MONTHS. I TRIED TO DRIVE IT AFTER AND IT SHOOK AND JIGGLED, IT STUTTERED AND NEARLY HALTED COMPLETELY. I BARELY MADE IT HOME, ONLY 10 MINUTES AWAY. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP IN REGARDS TO THE MULTIPLE RECALLS ON THE TRANSMISSION. THE VALLEY PICKED IT UP BECAUSE I WAS TOO AFRAID TO DRIVE IT. IT IS "FIXED" BUT WITH THE LIST OF ISSUES AND THE AMOUNT THAT NEEDED FIXED HAS MADE ME NERVOUS ABOUT DIVIN G IT.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURE HOWEVER, NO ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 99,000.
THE CAR HAS ISSUES ON TAKE OFF,LIKE A SLIPPING TRANSMISSION...I SEE THAT THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM...I WOULD LIKE MY CAR REPAIRED...
VEHICLE WAS HAVING MANY ELECTRICAL ISSUES INCLUDING SECURITY SYSTEM RANDOMLY GOING OFF, HEADLIGHTS FLICKERING, INABILITY TO START ENGINE, INABILITY TO STOP ENGINE EVEN WHEN ELECTRICAL WAS POWERED DOWN AND BATTERY DRAINAGE. THE PROBLEM WAS THE BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) HAVING BEEN DAMAGED FROM WASHER FLUID INGRESS FROM THE PUMP, ALONG THE WIRE HARNESS, THEN INTO THE BCM. CORROSION AND DAMAGE WAS BEYOND REPAIR. NEEDED TO REPLACE AND REPROGRAM. WILL BE WITHOUT A VEHICLE FOR 2 MONTHS BECAUSE OF PART BACKORDER. REPAIR COSTS WILL END UP BEING CLOSE TO $2,000.

Additionally, the contact stated that a year ago the clutch fell inside the transmission. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer but was not diagnosed or repaired. The transmission was replaced with an independent mechanic. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and stated that the vehicle was not covered under warranty. There was no further assistance provided. The contact stated the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign number 14V514000 (Steering). The approximate failure mileage was 64,000.

The contact had taken the vehicle to a dealer where they diagnosed her vehicle with a deformed fuel tank. Upon investigation, the contact linked the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V515000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) however, the Vin was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and confirmed that the Vin was not included in the recall. The representative informed her that a supervisor would reach out to her for further assistance however, the contact had yet to hear from the manufacturer. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 95,000.
STEERING LOCKED UP
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2014 FORD FOCUS. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE FAILED TO RESTART AND WAS TOWED TO BAYOU FORD (555 BELLE TERRE BLVD, LA PLACE, LA 70068) WHERE THE FAILURE WAS DIAGNOSED AS A FAULTY TRANSMISSION. THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THEY COULD NOT REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A SCRAP YARD TO BE DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 85,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
I DROVE TO WORK AND EVERYTHING THAT MORNING BUT WHEN IT WAS TIME FOR ME TO GO HOME , OUT OF NOWHERE WHEN I TURNED MY CAR ON IT SAID STEERING LOSS . I WASN'T ABLE TO TURN MY WHEEL OR ANYTHING , SO I HAD TO GET IT TOWED. THANK GOD I WAS NOT ON THE ROAD AND IT LOCKED UP ON ME BECAUSE THERE'S NO TELLING WHAT WOULD'VE HAPPENED.
GEAR SHIFT ISN'T SHIFTING AUTOMATICALLY PAST 20/30 MPH. CAR JOLTS FORWARD ON IT'S OWN OCCASIONALLY WITHOUT GAS PEDAL BEING PRESSED. WHEN FIRST PRESSING ON GAS CAR TREMBLES.
I JUST PURCHASED USED NOV 2020 IT DID NOT MAKE IT 30 DAYS AND HAS TO HAVE TRANSMISSION , RADIO DOESN'T WORK . IT SLIPS BUCKS NO ACCELERATION AND CUT OFF IN MIDDLE OF INTERSTATE 3 TIMES. NOW I AM STUCK WITH THIS NIGHTMARE I DON'T HAVE $4500.TO FIX!
MY CAR BEGAN TO STALL AS I STARTED DRIVING AND THE GEARS HAD TROUBLE SHIFTING TO THE NEXT GEAR AND THE CAR COULDN'T GO FASTER THAN 30 MILES PER HOUR WITHOUT WANTING TO TURN OFF. I TOOK IT TO BOGGUS FORD IN HARLINGEN, TEXAS AND THEY TOOK A WEEK TO INFORM ME THAT THEY HAD FIXED THE PROBLEM AND THAT IT WAS THE CLUTCH. THERE WAS A RECALL ON THIS PROBLEM BACK IN JANUARY 2020 AND I TOOK MY CAR INTO THE SAME DEALERSHIP TO GET THE RECALL FIXED BUT LEADING UP TO NOW, IT WASN'T FIXED. I PICKED UP MY CAR FROM THE DEALERSHIP NOVEMBER 22,2020 AND AS I DROVE OFF MY CAR STALLED BY THE HIGHWAY SO I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP BACK TO TELL THEM AND THEY SAID THERE'S NOTHING THEY CAN DO AND THE PROBLEM MUST BE INTERNAL. MY CAR GOT PICKED UP BY RAYMOND'S TRANSMISSION SHOP BECAUSE IT DIDN'T TURN ON ANYMORE. THEY WORKED ON MY CAR AND I WAS TOLD THAT THE RECALL HAD NOT BEEN DONE AND THAT'S WHY MY CAR GAVE UP. I PAID RAYMOND'S TRANSMISSION $1,600 TO GET IT FIXED. BOGGUS FORD IN HARLINGEN TEXAS DID NOT FIX MY RECALL SO I WANT TO REPORT THEIR WRONGDOING AND SEEK COMPENSATION FOR THE FINANCIAL BURDEN THEY IMPOSED UPON ME. THE REPAIRS WERE DONE AT THE DEALER JACKY JONES FORD LINCOLN 714 NEW HIGHWAY 68, SWEETWATER, TN 37874 (844) 844-0096. THE ISSUE RECENTLY RECURRED AGAIN AND THE DEALER STATED THAT SINCE THEY REPLACED THE CLUTCH TWICE BEFORE THE REPAIR COST WOULD FOR THE CONTACT TO PAY. THE MANUFACTURER TOLD THE CONTACT ALSO THAT REPAIRS WOULD NOT BE COVERED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 58,000.
The contact owns a 2014 Ford Focus. The contact stated that the rear passenger’s side door opened independently while driving at an undisclosed speed. Upon investigation, the contact discovered that her vehicle was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 16V643000 (Latches/Locks/Linkages). Additionally, after refueling the vehicle, the vehicle stalled while depressing the accelerator pedal. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that once she made it home, the vehicle would fail to start up without being jumpstarted. Upon investigation, the contact discovered NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V515000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) however, the vehicle was not included in the recall. The contact had taken the vehicle to an independent mechanic on several occasions and the alternator, relay sensors, oxygen flow sensor, thermostat, and two separate batteries were replaced. Despite multiple repairs, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.
TRANSMISSION DOESN'T SHIFT STAY ON 1ST GEAR, VEHICLE WITH ONLY 77KMILES. CHECKING ON LINE FOUND OUT I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE HAS THIS KIND OF PROBLEM AND SOUNDS LIKE MANUFACTURER ISSUE
THE CAR DISPLAYS THE P0902 OBII CODE. THE ENGINE STALLS AND WONT CHANGE GEARS PROPERLY. THIS IS SPECIALLY DANGEROUS WHEN TURNING SINCE THE CARS BEHIND YOU CAN'T SEE YOU'RE STALLING AND MAY CRASH INTO YOU. SOME TIMES IT GETS SO BAD THAT THE DASHBOARD DISPLAYS A MESSAGE THAT THE TRANSMISSION HAS HEATED UP AND I HAVE TO PULL OVER IMMEDIATELY. THE CAR WON'T EVEN RUN OR CHANGE GEARS AT THAT POINT. THIS PROBLEM HAPPENS RANDOMLY WHEN DRIVING. SPECIALLY WHEN THE VEHICLE IS IDLE FOR A WHILE.

THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE STEERING WHEEL MODULE AND RACK AND PINION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 80,000.
I HAVE TRIED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS TO HAVE MY CAR REPAIRED BECAUSE IT SHUDDERS, JERKS AND HESITATES EACH TIME I WAS TOLD THAT THEY COULDN'T FIX THE RECALL OR WARRANTY ISSUE BECAUSE THE DIAGNOSTIC WASN'T SHOWING ANY PROBLEMS. THE CAR HAS CONTINUED TO DO THE SAME BUT NOW I'M TOLD THIS IS THE PROBLEM BUT IT IS NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY BECAUSE THE MILEAGE IS AT 119,000 MILES AND IT EXCEEDED THE 100,000 MILES FOR THE WARRANTY. THE FIRST TIME I TOOK THE CAR TO A DEALERSHIP IT WAS UNDER 100,000. I THINK I'M BEING TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF BECAUSE FORD NEW OF THESE PROBLEMS AND I DON'T BELIEVE THERE SHOULD BE A TIME OR MILEAGE LIMIT. THE VEHICLE HAS STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF EXCELERATING, IT JERKS WHEN YOU ATTEMPT TO PULL OFF AND SHUDDERS WHILE IN MOTION.
THE PUSH START/STOP BUTTON WILL NOT STOP THE ENGINE SOMETIMES! I HAVE NOT HAD ANY PROBLEMS STARTING THE CAR USING THE SAME BUTTON. THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AND IN PARK.

THE MANUFACTURER HAD BEEN INFORMED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE FAILURE WAS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 124,000.
THE CAR SHUT DOWN AFTER I FULL IT UP WILL GAS I WONT START U HAVE TO WANT A MIN THEM THE CAR FILL START
POWER STEERING FAILED WHILE DRIVING.
WHILE TURNING IN A ALDIS PARKING LOT THE 'STEERING ASSIST FAULT' WARNING POPPED UP ON MY DASHBOARD AND THE POWER STEERING STOPPED MAKING IT EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO MOVE THE STEERING WHEEL. I STOPPED THE CAR TO TURN IT ON/OFF AGAIN TO SEE IF IT WOULD RESET. IT DID NOT AND I HAD TO DRIVE HOME WITH NO POWER STEERING.
I BROUGHT IT IN FOR SKIPPING 3RD AND 5TH GEAR AND FORD SAID THAT IT WAS THE RECALL BUT BECAUSE THEY ALREADY FIXED IT THEY SAID IT WON'T BE COVERED AND I HAVE TO PAY 1400 OUT OF POCKET!!

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER HAD EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. TRI STATE FORD (1503 PENNSYLVANIA AVE, EAST LIVERPOOL, OH 43920) AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE CONTACTED AND IT WAS CONFIRMED THAT PARTS WERE NOT YET AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. I know exactly what's wrong because it's a recall that's on certain Ford focuses of this year but apparently not mine for some reason even though I have the problem but it's the emissions control valve that's stuck open my car stalls out after I fuel. I'm having an extreme loss of power sometimes just being me having to push the pedal more down to losing all acceleration all together to where it shuts down the cruise control when I'm on the highway. It's running real rough on idle all of which are signs of this recall but because it's not covered under my car I'm having to pay $100 just to put the car in the shop to have them look at it and tell me what I already know and then I'm going to have to pay whatever it costs to repair it which I'm sure it's going to be 3 to $500 for a problem they've already admitted to lying about before and obviously are lying about now when they say that this series of Ford focus 2014 was not affected so now I have to pay out of pocket for being a Ford customer so I hope it's worth it to them to lose me as a customer for the rest of my life because of something that would have cost them two or $300. And my family for generations have been lifelong ford buyers my family is well known at our local trotter Ford my grandparents literally buy a new car every year and say they're taking their business elsewhere after finding out about this so I don't see where they think they're saving money by lying like they are.
HAS ANYONE HAD ANY ISSUES WITH POWER STEERING? I HAVE A 2014 TITANIUM AND FOR THE LAST MONTH OR SO I'VE NOTICED MY POWER STEERING TAKING A COUPLE SECONDS LONGER TO KICK IN WHEN I START MY CAR. LAST WEEK, AN ALERT CAME ON STATING 'POWER STEERING ASSIST MALFUNCTION'. I TOOK IT INTO A FORD DEALER TO GET LOOKED AT, AND THEY SAID THE CODE THAT CAME UP FOR THEM SHOWED A POWER STEERING MODULE/POWER STEERING GEAR ISSUE. THE WHOLE THING NEEDS REPLACED. I WAS BACKING OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY WHEN THE ALERT CAME ON.
TRANSMISSION SHUDDERING AND LOCKED UP IN TRAFFIC I HAD TO CYCLE THE IGNITION KEY TO GET THE VEHICLE OFF THE ROAD. I HAVE 2 FIELD SERVICE ACTIONS FOR MY VEHICLE HOWEVER FORD WON'T REPAIR MY ISSUE DUE TO THE VEHICLE HAVING A BRANDED TITLE. I HAD TO REPLACE THE FIRST TRANSMISSION DUE TO A CYCLING INSIDE TRANSMISSION WHICH ENDED UP BUSTING TRANSMISSION CASE.
I JUST PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE USED. I WAS COMPLETELY UNAWARE OF THE TRANSMISSION ISSUES IN THESE VEHICLES. THE CAR HAS 143,000 MILES ON IT AND THE EXTENDED WARRANTY THAT FORD HAS GIVEN ONLY GOES TO 100,000 MILES. FORD WILL NOT FIX MY CARS TRANSMISSION SHUDDERING AND JERKING PROBLEMS. WHEN YOU GO FROM A STOP TO PUSHING THE GAS, THE CAR JERKS AND SHAKES THE ENTIRE CAR WHILE THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION TRIES TO SHIFT GEARS. IT IS VERY UNSAFE AND THE TRANSMISSION WILL FAIL DUE TO THE FAULTY CLUTCH AND ACTUATORS.
ONGOING ELECTRICAL ISSUES THAT MAY OR MAY NOT BE RELATED. VEHICLE WILL "STALL" WHILE IN MOTION OR WHILE POWERED ON BUT STOPPED AT A LIGHT FOR EXAMPLE. IT'S AN ELECTRIC VEHICLE SO THE CAUSE OF THE STALL IS UNCLEAR. VEHICLE WILL BE INOPERABLE FOR 1-10 MINUTES, INCLUDING POWER STEERING WHILE THE SYSTEM RESETS. THIS HAPPENS USUALLY AT SLOW SPEEDS OR WHILE STOPPED - IN REVERSE, CLIMBING HILLS, STOPPED AT TRAFFIC LIGHTS. THE PROBLEM WAS "FIXED" IN OCTOBER 2019 AND WE WERE TOLD THAT SOMETHING DOING WHILE ADDRESSING ONE OF THE ELECTRICAL RECALLS HAD CAUSED THE PROBLEM. NOW IT'S HAPPENING AGAIN AND FORD CAN'T TELL US WHY. WE'VE BEEN STRANDED PULLING OUT OF OUR DRIVEWAY IN THE PATH OF ON COMING TRAFFIC, BLOCKING ONE LANE ROADS IN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD AND AT INTERSECTIONS.

MY 2014 FORD FOCUS HAS A AUTOMATIC CLUTCH PROBLEM. IT WAS REPLACED 2 YEARS AGO BY THE DEALERSHIP AND IS NOW HAVING SAME ISSUES ONLY WORSE. AS I AM DRIVING THE CAR WON'T GO FASTER AS I'M PASSING A CAR AND WHEN I STOP AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT IT JUMPS AS I GO. UNSAFE. I DON'T FEEL SAFE DRIVING.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 98,000.
THE CAR STALLED OUT
WHILE DRIVING ON A LEVEL FOUR LANE ROAD (AT 45MPH), THE CAR SHOOK AND TRANSMISSION STARTED SLIPPING BADLY. LUCKILY I WAS CLOSE TO HOME. CHANGED THE TRANSMISSION FLUID AND ONLY GOT 4 MILES DOWN THE ROAD AFTERWARDS AND IT SHOOK VIOLENTLY AND THE TRANSMISSION COMPLETELY WENT OUT. HAD THE CAR TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP AND TOLD US THE TCM (TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE) WAS BAD AND REPLACED IT SINCE IT WAS COVERED UNDER FORDS 150.000 MILE EXTENDED WARRANTY BUT AFTER REPLACING THAT THEY DONE MORE TESTS ON THE CAR WHEN THEY SAID THE WHOLE TRANNY ALSO HAD TO BE REBUILT. FORD EXTENDED THE WARRANTY TO 100,000 MILES ON THE PARTS IN MY TRANNY BUT MINE HAD 13,000 MILES TOO MANY TO QUALIFY FOR BE COVERED. SO NOW I'M STUCK PAYING $2500 PLUS TAXES!!! I PAID $6,000 FOR THE CAR AND 1 WEEK LATER, I HAVE TO PAY ALMOST ANOTHER $3000. I'VE ALWAYS BEEN A FORD LOVER BUT NOT AFTER THIS. I'M DONE!
The contact owns a 2014 Ford Focus. The contact stated while driving 45 mph, the low battery warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the vehicle decelerated independently and came to a stop on the side of the road. The contact stated that the battery was drained. The vehicle was not drivable and was left at that location for three days. The contact stated he was able to recharge the battery and drove to his residence. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.
FOR SOME TIME NOW I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET 2 RECALLS FIXED ON MY VEHICLE : 18V735 AND 16V643. WHEN I PREVIOUSLY CALLED THE DEALERSHIP THEY DID NOT HAVE THE PARTS YET FOR THE RECALLS. JUST YESTERDAY WHILE DRIVING WITH A PASSENGER IN THE REAR SEAT OF THE CAR THE REAR DOOR CAME OPEN BY ITSELF AND NOW WILL NOT CLOSE. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP (LOGANVILLE FORD IN MONROE GEORGIA) WHO TOLD ME 1. THAT THEY COULD NOT GET ME IN FOR THE REPAIR UNTIL NEXT WEDNESDAY (9/9) AND 2. THEY WOULD NOT PROVIDE A LOANER VEHICLE. I EXPLAINED FIRST THAT HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO DRIVE A VEHICLE FOR A WEEK WITH A DOOR THAT WOULD NOT CLOSE? AND SECOND THIS IS MY ONLY MODE OF TRANSPORTATION, THIS IS NOT SOMETHING I DID TO MY VEHICLE , THIS IS A SAFETY DEFECT BY THE MANUFACTURER THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED AND FORD AND / OR THE DEALERSHIP NEEDED TO PROVIDE A LOANER OR A RENTAL (AT THE MANUFACTURERS EXPENSE) UNTIL THE SAFETY REPAIRS CAN BE ADDRESSED AND MADE. I FURTHER EXPLAINED THAT SAFETY RECALLS SHOULD TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER OTHER REPAIRS AS IT IS A HAZARD AND SOMEONE CAN GET HURT. BOTH FORD AND THE DEALERSHIP ARE BOTH DENYING USE OF A LOANER AND I AM YET TO HEAR BACK ABOUT A RENTAL AT THE MANUFACTURERS EXPENSE AND I DO NOT THINK IT WILL COME TO FRUITION. I AM GOING TO REITERATE, THIS IS NOT SOMETHING THAT I DID TO MY VEHICLE, THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY RECALL THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED. IF THE LATCHES CAN BE REPLACED ON ALL 4 DOORS AND THE FUEL TANK DEFORMATION CAN ALL BE REPAIRED IN A FEW HOURS I HAVE NO PROBLEM WAITING ON THE VEHICLE, HOWEVER WE KNOW THAT THESE REPAIRS NEVER TAKE LESS THAN ONE DAY, ALL REPORTS I READ SAY IT MAY TAKE UP TO 4. THAT SAID, FORD NEEDS TO PROVIDE EITHER A LOANER OR A RENTAL AT THEIR EXPENSE, NOT MINE. THIS IS MY LAST STOP TO GET CLOSURE IN THIS CASE, I HAVE SPOKEN TO FAR TOO MANY PEOPLE AND AM NOT GETTING ANYWHERE, MY NEXT STOP WILL BE TO THE LOCAL AND NATIONAL NEWS.
FORD DEALERSHIP WOULD NOT REPAIR MY TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE/ SHUDDER EVEN THOUGH IT IS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY, BECAUSE "IT HAD NOT FAILED BAD ENOUGH YET". THEY ARE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND SAID THE PART WAS FAILING. IF THE PART HAD NOT FAILED BAD ENOUGH YET, THEN I WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FEES.
I HAVE A FORD FOCUS 2014.3RECALLS.1ST RECALL TRANSMITION,FOR THE LONGEST TIME FORD DEALERSHIP WOULD NOT FIX.FINALLY I CONTACTED THE NHTSA THEN TOLD FORD WHAT I DID THEY FINALLY FIXED IT BUT I DON'T THINK THEY DID A GOOD JOB. 2ND RECALL FUEL SYSTEM,I RECEIVED A RECALL ABOUT CPV THAT MIGHT STICK OPEN.THAT WOULD CAUSE ENGINE LIGHT TO COME ON,INACCURATE OR ERRATIC FUEL GAUGE, INACCURATE DISTANCE TO EMPTY, ENGINE STALL WHILE DRIVING WITHOUT WARNING THAT COULD CAUSE A CRASH. MY CAR HAS ALL THESE SYMPTOM ,TOOK IT BY THE DEALERSHIP TO GET FIXED THEY SAID FORD WOULD NOT FIX THE DEFECTS. BECAUSE SPECIAL CODES DIDN'T COME UP. SOUNDS LIKE A SCAM TO ME. FORD DOES NOT WANT TO COVER THEIR RECALLS !!!
THE VEHICLE STALLS OUT AT THE RED LIGHTS WHILE WAITING FOR THE LIGHT TO TURN GREEN. THE VEHICLE COMPLETELY SHUTS DOWN. THEN MY DAUGHTER HAS TO PUT ON THE HAZARD (SHE IS 17) AND PUT IT PARK, THEN PRAY THE VEHICLE STARTS AGAIN. JUST HAD THE 2 RECALLS DONE HOWEVER WAS TOLD WE NEED BY A PURGE VALVE WHICH I FOUND ONLINE WITH THESE YEAR MODELS WHEN I LOOK UP 2014 FORD FOCUS SHUTTING DOWN DURING WAITING FOR A RED LIGHT. IT ALSO STRUGGLES TO GET IN 1ST AND 2ND GEAR. IT SHUTTERS AND JUMPS. ONCE YOU GET THE VEHICLE OVER 40-50 MPH ON THE ROAD IT FEELS OKAY BUT WHEN YOU HAVE TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP, GOOD LUCK. MY DAUGHTER IS TERRIFIED TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE. WHEN I WENT TO WALKER FORD, I WAS TOLD THERE WAS NOTHING THEY CAN DO ABOUT THIS ISSUE HOWEVER ITS ALL OVER THE INTERNET. WHAT CAN I DO TO HELP MY 17 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER FEEL MORE COMFORTABLE DRIVING?
I STARTED MY CAR AND BEGAN TO DRIVE. TWO MINUTES AFTER DRIVING I WAS GOING 25 MPH ON A TOWN STREET AND MY TRANSMISSION FAULT LIGHT CAME ON. I LOST POWER AND CONTROL OF THE CAR, ALMOST GETTING HIT BY A LARGE TRUCK.
WHILE MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING WITH 2 YOUNG CHILDREN IN CAR ON A CITY ST/HIGHWAY, CAR SUDDENLY STOPPED, & HAD TO BE TOWED TO A REPAIR SHOP.. MECHANIC REPORTED THAT ELECTRICAL WIRES WERE LAYING AGAINST ENGINE, WHICH OVERHEATED & MELTED WIRES, CAUSING VEHICLE TO STOP... HE ADDED THAT IT COULD HAVE CAUSED A FIRE & OUGHT TO BE A RECALL ITEM.
WHILE DRIVING MY CAR IT WOULD NOT PULL HILL WHEN DRIVING, HAD TO PULL OVER AND ADD TRANSMISSION FLUID BECAUSE IT WAS LOW. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME I HAD TO ADD FLUID TO THIS VEHICLE. IS THERE A RECALL ON THIS PROBLEM OR NOT. VEHICLE DO NOT HAVE THE POWER IT HAD WHEN I FIRST BOUGHT IT
