FIRST, DRIVERS SIDE DOOR WOULD NOT LATCH SHUT. FOUND WHILE STATIONARY. THIS WAS REPAIRED. 8 WEEKS LATER, THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR WOULD NOT LATCH. THIS WAS DISCOVERED WHILE DRIVING IN A PARKING LOT WHEN THE PANEL LIGHT CAME ON AND SAID DOOR WAS OPEN. WHEN TURNING TO PARK TO CHECK, THE DOOR SWUNG WIDE OPEN. IT WOULD NOT LATCH SHUT.
EXTREME SHUTTERING COMING FROM THE TRANSMISSION, FIRST GEAR SLIPS, SUCKING CARES THE WORST AND SLIPS THE MOST AND STRUGGLES TO GET THE THIRD GEAR. THE GEAR SLIP EVERY TIME YOU COME FROM STOP TO GO, AND SECOND GEAR SUCH THE WORST AGAIN BUT WORSE WHEN YOU'RE TURNING
I BOUGHT THIS CAR PREOWNED FROM DEALERSHIP. WITHIN A YEAR IT HAD PROBLEMS. WELL DRIVING AT 30MPH NEAR MY HOME THE RPMS SHUT UP ON THE CAR WHILE THE SPEED STUTTERED AS IF THE CAR WAS IN NEUTRAL. I TOOK IT IN RIGHT AWAY OTHER PROBLEMS PERSISTED ON MY WAY TO THE DEALERSHIP SUCH AS NOT BEING ABLE TO SHIFT CORRECTLY. THEY HAD TOLD ME THEY FIXED THE PROBLEM AND ALL WAS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY SO I WAS HAPPY. THIS IS WHERE IT GOT STRANGE. THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY NEED TO ORDER ANOTHER PART AND THAT IT SHOULD BE HERE WITHIN A WEEK. AS I AM NOT VERY CAR SAVVY SO I DON'T RECALL THIS PART BUT IT WAS UNDER WARRANTY SO I WAS AT EASE. THEY OFFERED TO KEEP MY CAR UNTIL THE PART ARRIVED, WHICH I THOUGHT WAS FINE.. LUCKILY I DIDN'T BECAUSE 2 1/2 WEEKS WENT BY BEFORE I MADE IT BACK INTO THE DEALERSHIP AND I ASKED THE PERSON WHO SERVICED MY CAR WHEN MY PART WAS COMING IN. HE SAID IT DEFINITELY SHOULD'VE ARRIVED BY NOW AND IT'S STRANGE THAT IT HASN'T. I COME BACK ANOTHER FEW WEEKS LATER AND THEY CLAIM THAT THERE WAS NEVER ANY ORDER FOR ME AT ALL. I DON'T KNOW WHO ORIGINALLY SERVICED ME I JUST ASSUMED THEY'D HAVE MY RECORDS. FLASHFORWARD A YEAR LATER IN THE SAME EXACT THING IS HAPPENING BUT EVEN WORSE. IT WON'T GO IN REVERSE OR SPORT MODE. IT'S BEEN TURNING ON SOME DAYS AND NOT OTHERS AND IT GOES ABOUT 5 MILES AN HOUR. I TRY TO TAKE IT INTO THE FORD DEALERSHIP AND THEY'RE TRYING TO SAY IT IS NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY EVEN THOUGH MY CAR IS UNDER 60,000 MILES. THEY WANT TO CHARGE ME $150 TO DIAGNOSE I GOOGLE SEVERAL DIFFERENT PLACES THAT WILL DO IT FOR FREE. GOT THE ERROR CODE P2837. FORD STILL WANTS TO CHARGE ME TO DIAGNOSE. WHEN I TRY TO CALL AND TALK ABOUT HOW THIS CAR DOESN'T SEEM SAFE ENOUGH TO HAVE EVEN SOLD AND ASK ABOUT THE RECALLS THEY ACT LIKE IT'S A ONE IN 1 BILLION THING AND KEEP CONNECTING ME TO DIFFERENT DEPARTMENTS WHERE I JUST GET AN ANSWERING MACHINE. NOT RIGHT
TRANSMISSION IS SLIPPING CAR FEELS UNSAFE TO DRIVE ONCE THE CAR IS ON FOR ABOUT 30 MINUTES THE REVERSE WON'T WORK ON CAR
TRANSMISSION KEEPS GOING INTO FAULT MODE, RANDOMLY DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE IN A GEAR AT ALL. DOES THIS AT INTERSECTIONS, DRIVEWAYS, AND WHILE REGULAR DRIVING, OUT OF NOWHERE. DO NOT KNOW WHAT THE CAUSE THIS HOWEVER IT IS A VERY BIG SAFETY ISSUE WITH CHILDREN IN THE CAR. IT IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE LIKE THIS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD FOCUS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE SHUTTERED WHENEVER THE GEARS WERE SHIFTED. WHEN THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL, THE PEDAL WOULD NOT LET UP EASILY. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO AUTONATION (20777 KATY FWY, KATY, TX 77450, (281) 305-8949) WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF WARRANTY; THEREFORE, THEY WOULD NOT SERVICE THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE DEALER ALSO STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF WARRANTY. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 58,000.
WHEN STARTING CAR WOULD SPUTTER AND SHAKE. HAD TO HAVE TRANSMISSION AND CLUTCH REPLACED $1700. ALSO WHEN STOPPED IT WOULD SURGE FORWARD AND SOMETIMES BACKWARD. CAR IS A 2014 FOCUS EITH 15,500. MILES. AFRAID TO DRIVE ANY DISTANCE FOR FEAR OF SLIPPING OUT OF DRIVE. HAVE WRITTEN FORD BUT TO NO AVAIL. I HAVE ALL MY RECORDS.
I HAD THE RECALL FIXED ON 5/17/2019 AND MY CAR CONTINUES TO STALL. I KEEP MY TANK ABOVE HALF OR FULL AND IT CONTINUES TO STALL WITH EVEN A FULL TANK. MY CAR WAS STALLED ON I 294 IN ILLINOIS ONE OF THE BUSIEST TOLLWAY NEAR THE CHICAGO AIRPORT.
VEHICLE TRANSMISSION DISENGAGED, CAUSING THE ENGINE TO REV UP WITHOUT SPEEDING AS IF IT WAS IN NEUTRAL, IMMEDIATELY LOSING SPEED CAUSING A SAFETY HAZARD. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TURNED ON. TRANSMISSION RE-ENGAGED ABRUPTLY AND CAR WOULD NOT SHIFT PROPERLY SO HAD TO BE DRIVEN IN LOWER GEARS, AGAIN POSING A SAFETY HAZARD. DEALERSHIP ADVISED ISSUE WAS RELATED TO THE CLUTCH AND WAS COVERED UNDER MANUFACTURER'S PROGRAM 14TM01, YET THIS EXTENDED WARRANTY WAS NOT APPLICABLE TO THE 2014 MODEL, EVEN THOUGH IT WAS THE SAME ISSUE.
TCM RECALL PURCHASED VEHICLE MAY 2016. THROUGH 3 YEARS OF OWNERSHIP, VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BEACH FORD APPROX. 3X FOR REGULAR SERVICE INCLUDING OIL CHANGE AND AIR FILTER. WHILE VEHICLE WAS AT BEACH FORD, I REQUESTED SERVICE DEPARTMENT CHECK THE TRANSMISSION/DUAL CLUTCH MECHANISM DUE TO NOTICEABLE STUTTERING WHILE DRIVING. AT THE TIME OF RECEIVING VEHICLE BACK, I WAS TOLD THAT THE TRANSMISSION WAS FINE EACH TIME. 7/3/2019 - I WAS ON MY WAY TO WORK 30 MILES AWAY FROM MY HOME. WHILE MAKING RIGHT HAND TURN, THEN ACCELERATED VEHICLE JOLTED WITH CHECK ENGINE LIGHT BEING ILLUMINATED. UPON FURTHER ACCELERATION, DETERMINED VEHICLE COULD NOT GO ABOVE 25-30MPH. ONCE PARKED TO ADDRESS UNKNOWN MECHANICAL ISSUE, ATTEMPTED TO REVERSE OUT OF PARKING SPACE AND DISCOVERED VEHICLE HAD LOST REVERSE. CONTACTED BEACH FORD EXPLAINED THE ISSUE AS WELL AS EXPLAINING THAT THE VEHICLE WAS 30 MILES AWAY FROM MY HOME AND NOT DRIVABLE. THE SERVICE ADVISER STATED THAT THEY DID NOT HAVE A TOW TRUCK AND COULD NOT PROVIDE ANY ASSISTANCE TO HAVE VEHICLE TOWED TO THE SERVICE CENTER. 7 HRS LATER AFTER GOING THROUGH MY INSURANCE COMPANY WITH ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE, MY VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO BEACH FORD WITHIN MINUTES OF THE SERVICE DEPT CLOSING. DUE TO JULY 4TH HOLIDAY, MY VEHICLE WOULD NOT BE LOOKED AT UNTIL 7/5/19. RECEIVED CALL APPROX. 4:30PM STATING MY VEHICLE WAS READY TO BE PICKED UP. CPV RECALL WHILE VEHICLE WAS IN SERVICE FOR TCM RECALL, I REQUESTED ADDITIONAL RECALL NHTSA 18V735 CANISTER PURGE VALVE BE ADDRESS. SERVICE ADVISOR STATED THEY WOULD ADDRESS AND VEHICLE WOULD BE READY THE FOLLOWING DAY 7/6/19. RECEIVED TEXT 10:44AM TO PICK UP VEHICLE. CLUTCH STILL FELT SHAKY. CAR SHUDDERS AND SHAKES WHILE TAKING OFF FROM A LIGHT AND ACTS LIKE IT IS SLIPPING IN BETWEEN 2 AND THIRD GEARS . MAKES STOPPING AND STARTING OR ENTERING A HIGHWAY VERY DANGEROUS . SEEMS THISNPROBLEM IS AN ON GOING ONE WITH THIS YEAR MODEL FORD .
THE FAULTY TRANSMISSION CAUSE CLUTCHES TO RUN OUT THAT MAY CAUSE THE CAR TO STALL. I HAVE 2 CLUTCH REPLACED BY NEW CAR WARRANTY. LAST DIAGNOSTIC SHOWED THAT I NEED TO CHANGE CLUTCHES AGAIN BUT MY NEW CAR WARRANTY IS EXPIRED. SINCE THE TRANSMISSION IS DEFECTIVE CLUTCHES SHOULD BE CHANGED PERIODICALLY, PROBABLY EVERY 5K - 12K MILES. FOR SOME REASON FORD DIDN'T INCLUDE MY CAR UNDER 14M01 WARRANTY EXTENSION. I DO RISK THAT MY CAR TO BE STALLED DUE TO CLUTCHES RUN OUT BECAUSE OF FAULTY TRANSMISSION.
TRANSMISSION JUMPS IN AND OUT WITH A CLUNKING WHEN STARTING OFF AT A RED LIGHT
I WAS GOING DOWN THE ROAD AND WENT TO SLOW DOWN TO TURN AND THE TRANSMISSION WOULDN'T GO BACK INTO GEAR. I JUST HAD ANOTHER TRANSMISSION PUT IN AND THE VERY NEXT DAY AN ALERT POPPED UP ON MY DASH SAYING TRANSMISSION FAULT SERVICE NOW. WHEN I TOOK IT BACK TO THE MECHANIC SHOP THEY SAID THAT THE ISSUE WASN'T MY TRANSMISSION ITSELF AND THAT IT WAS A COMMUNICATION ISSUE BETWEEN THE PCM AND THE TCM. OVERALL THIS CAR HAS HAD SEVERAL ISSUES WITH THE STYLE OF TRANSMISSION

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. KOONS FORD OF BALTIMORE (6970 SECURITY BLVD, WINDSOR MILL, MD 21244, (410) 298-3800) WAS CONTACTED AND CONFIRMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE RECALL REMEDY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND WAS NOT ABLE TO CONFIRM WHEN THE PARTS WERE TO BECOME AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.
THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE DOOR LATCH DISENGAGED WITHOUT WARNING WHEN I WAS TURNING OUT OF A PARKING LOT, SWINGING THE DOOR OPEN WHILE MOVING. THE LATCH WILL NOT ENGAGE ANYMORE, AND THE DOOR IS STUCK OPEN. THERE IS A RECALL FOR THE LATCH, BUT MY VIN NUMBER IS NOT UNDER THE RECALL.
AS OF 07/16/19 FORD HAS PUT 7 CLUTCHES IN THIS VEHICLE. WE ARE SCHEDULED FOR AN OTHER APP. ON 07/18/19. THE PROBLEM IS BACK, I BELIEVE THIS THIS IS THE THIRD TRIP BACK SINCE THE LAST CLUTCH WAS PUT IN. FORD KEEPS SAYING IT'S NOT BACK ENOUGH TO REPLACE, BUT WHEN YOU LOOK AT THE PAPER WORK IT SAYS THEY READJUSTED THE CLUTCH, EACH TIME. I DON'T UNDERSTAND THIS BECAUSE IF YOU LOOK AT THE MILEAGE IN AND OUT OF THE SHOP IT'S THE SAME. HOW CAN THEY SAY THE PROBLEM NOT THERE. IF THEY DON'T DRIVE IT? IT'S TO THE POINT NOW THAT YOU DON'T DARE TRY TO PASS OR GO BY ANOTHER CAR BECAUSE IT HESITATES SO BAD AND THE TEC METER WILL JUMP TO 5/5 1/2 BEFORE IT DROPS DOWN AND SHIFTS GEARS. IT'S LIKE DRIVING A CAR WITH A STANDARD TRANSMISSION AND THE CLUTCH ISN'T OUT FAR ENOUGH.

CAR HAS NOT BEEN TAKEN TO DEALER SINCE JULY 2017 WHEN IT WAS EXPERIENCING ALL OF THE SAME SYMPTOMS BUT THEY TOLD ME NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH IT AFTER KEEPING IT FOR OVER A WEEK. CAR HAS HAD ISSUES SINCE DATE OF PURCHASE JAN 2004 AND I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER. TO THIS DATE, CAR CONTINUES TO SLIP OUT OF BOTH REVERSE AND OUT OF DRIVE WHILE IN OPERATION. ACCELERATION IS SLOW AND UNPREDICTABLE, SOMETIMES DOESN'T MOVE FORWARD AT ALL WHEN ACCELERATING, SOMETIMES JUMPS FORWARD AND TAKES OFF AT A RAPID SPEED FROM A DEAD STOP. CAR HESITATES, SHAKES, SHUDDER, JERKS AND MAKES GRINDING NOISES ALL INDICATORS OF TRANSMISSION ISSUES. I HAVE SCHEDULED ANOTHER SERVICE APPT. WITH JORDAN FORD FOR 9/2/19, WHICH WAS THE FIRST APPT. THEY HAD AVAILABLE. *JB
'TAMARA RECALL'. RECENTLY THE FIRST WEEK OF JULY 2019 I LEFT WORK AND NOTICED I COHSOT TURN MY STEERING WHEEL. I CALLED RED HILL FORD AND I SPOKE TO ONE OF THE NEW GUYS AND EXPLAINED TO THEM MY POWER STEERING WAS GOING AND IT WAS MAKING GRINDING NOISES. THEY ACTUALLY TOLD ME TO DRIVE MY CAR DOWN TO THE DEALERSHIP WITH WHAT I TOLD THEM. HE TOLD ME IT WASN'T MY POWER STEERING AND THAT IT COULD BE SOMETHING ELSE BUT I KNEW SINCE MY CAR WAS HARD TO STEER AND THE GRINDING NOISE IT WAS MAKING. I DROVE FROM ALLENTOWN DOWN TO RED HILL ON ROUTE 29 AND IT WAS A LONG RIDE THERE. SECOND, BECAUSE THEY TOLD ME IT COST 2 GRAND WHICH I DIDN'T HAVE THEY WERE GOING TO HAVE ME PICK IT UP AND DRIVE IT AGAIN KNOWING HOW IT WAS NOT DRIVE-ABLE. LUCKILY MY PARENTS CAME THROUGH AND PAID IT. SEEING THE RECALLS I NEVER RECEIVED ANYTHING ABOUT MY POWER STEERING RACK. SHOULDN'T THIS BEEN COVERED UNDER A WARRANTY OR COVERED SINCE THERE WAS A RECALL? THERE IS NO WARNING LIGHT THAT DISPLAYS ON THE DASHBOARD FOR THE POWER STEERING AND THIS IS DANGEROUS NOT KNOWING WHEN YOUR POWER STEERING RACK IS GOING. PLEASE GET BACK TO ME AND IF THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN COVERED PER THE RECALL. I COULD HAVE BE BADLY HURT AND OR HIT ANOTHER CAR!!
FORD MOTOR CONTACTED ME LAST YEAR ABOUT A RECALL, 18V735. EACH TIME I CONTACT THEM, THE DATE AVAILABLE FOR REPLACEMENT PARTS HAS BEEN DELAYED FARTHER OUT INTO THE FUTURE. IT IS NOW DECEMBER 2019. I FEEL THAT FORD IS STRINGING ME ALONG, AND THAT PARTS WILL NEVER BE AVAILABLE. THE LONGER THEY DELAY, THE LESS UNSAFE VEHICLES THEY WILL HAVE TO FIX. I THINK ACTION, IN THE FORM OF LARGE FINES, NEEDS TO BE TAKEN, IN ORDER TO GET FORD TO FULFILL THEIR OBLIGATIONS.

IN ADDITION, THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO KORF MOTORS FORD LINCOLN (LOCATED AT 520 E CHESTNUT ST, STERLING, CO 80751, (970) 522-1500) WHERE THE FAILURE WAS ASSOCIATED WITH NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 18V735000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DEALER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE REPAIR. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 85,000. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
DPS6 TRANSMISSION IS UNRELIABLE AND VEHICLE IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE DUE TO INCONSISTENT VEHICLE RESPONSE WHEN PUSHING ACCELERATOR PEDAL AND FORD CANNOT CORRECT THE RECURRING PROBLEM. THE PROBLEMS HAVE OCCURRED MANY TIMES SINCE WE TOOK DELIVERY OF THE NEW VEHICLE IN FEB, 2014. VEHICLE HAS BEEN TO DEALERSHIP 9 TIMES FOR SHUTTERING/SHAKING, NO RESPONSE WHEN PUSHING ACCELERATOR PEDAL, SURGING FORWARD SEVERAL SECONDS AFTER PUSHING ACCELERATOR PEDAL FOLLOWING NO RESPONSE, HESITATION WHEN PUSHING ACCELERATOR PEDAL. FORD HAS REPLACED THE CLUTCH 4 TIMES IN THE PAST 5 YEARS AND THE PROBLEMS RANDOMLY PERSIST. THE VEHICLE IS AT DEALERSHIP NOW FOR MOST RECENT CLUTCH REPLACEMENT. FORD HAS UPDATED THE TCM/PCM AT LEAST 4 TIMES AND THE SAME PROBLEMS STILL RECUR. AFTER THE UPDATES TO THE TCM/PCM AND/OR CLUTCH REPLACEMENTS WE'VE CONTINUALLY BEEN TOLD THAT THE ROAD TESTS ARE WITHIN FORD SPECIFICATIONS BUT THE PROBLEMS CONTINUE. IN THE MOST RECENT OCCURRENCE ON 7/1/19, MY DAUGHTER WAS TURNING LEFT ONTO A BUSY ROAD WITH CARS TRAVELING AT 50 MPH; HER FOCUS STARTED INTO THE ONCOMING TRAFFIC LANE THEN HESITATED WHILE THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS PRESSED AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT RESPOND. THE CAR COMING TOWARD HER HAD TO SLAM ON HIS BRAKES TO AVOID T-BONE COLLISION. HER FOCUS FINALLY RESPONDED AND SHE WAS ABLE TO COMPLETE THE TURN, BUT SHE CAME CLOSE TO BEING SERIOUSLY INJURED OR KILLED. UPON HEARING THIS SITUATION, I IMMEDIATELY CALLED THE FORD DEALERSHIP TO BRING THE CAR IN. IN JUNE, 2018, AT A STOP LIGHT THE FOCUS WOULD NOT RESPOND WHEN PRESSING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL, THEN AFTER SEVERAL SECONDS IT LUNGED FORWARD AND ALMOST HIT THE CAR IN FRONT OF HER. I BOUGHT THIS CAR NEW FOR MY DAUGHTER. AFTER READING THE 7/12/19 DETROIT FREE PRESS ARTICLE, IT'S CLEAR THIS IS A FLAWED DESIGN. MY DAUGHTER WILL NEVER DRIVE THIS VEHICLE AGAIN. IT'S A TICKING BOMB. IT NEEDS TO BE RECALLED.
TAKATA RECALL I CAN FEEL MY CAR JOLTING (ALMOST EVERYDAY NOW) ESPECIALLY AS I TRY TO ACCELERATE OR INCREASE SPEED. I FEEL IT THE MOST WHEN I AM ACCELERATING FROM A STOP LIGHT OR SLOWING DOWN FOR A TURN AND TRYING TO SPEED BACK UP. MY CAR HAS STALLED TWICE ON THE HIGHWAY AS I WAS TRYING TO ACCELERATE AFTER SLOWING DOWN. I CAN SEE THAT THERE IS A RECALL OUT FOR MY CAR HOWEVER, THERE IS NO REMEDY AVAILABLE AND I NO LONGER FEEL SAFE DRIVING THIS CAR! I PURCHASED THE CAR BACK IN JULY OF 2018 AND FELT THE JOLTS AROUND MID-SEPTEMBER. NOW THEY HAVE GOTTEN INCREASINGLY WORSE AND ARE A PART OF MY EVERYDAY DRIVING. I WAS TOLD THAT THERE WOULD BE A SOLUTION EARLY 2019 SO I WAS DETERMINED TO WAIT UNTIL THEN BUT NOW WE'RE IN THE LATTER HALF OF THE YEAR WITH NO SOLUTION.
DPS6 TRANSMISSION. THIS HAS BEEN AN ONGOING ISSUE AND I FEAR FOR THE SAFETY OF ME AND MY FAMILY. WE WILL BE DRIVING DOWN THE RD ANY TYPE (INTERSTATE, COUNTRY RDS OR IN CITY) AND THE VEHICLE WILL LOOSE POWER AS IF IT ALL OF A SUDDEN GOES INTO NEUTRAL..THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN. TO BE GOING 65 ON THE INTERSTATE AND ALL OF A SUDDEN YOUR VEHICLE LOOSES POWER, AND KEEPS DOING IT THE REST OF THE TRIP. I HAVE BEEN IN NEAR ACCIDENTS SEVERAL TIMES BC OF THIS. ALSO I WILL BE DRIVING DOWN THE RD AND THE CAR WILL ACCELERATE ON ITS ON CAUSING THE RPMS TO GO WAY UP AND THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN IT WILL BASICALLY GO INTO NEUTRAL WITH NO WARNING AT ALL. THIS IS MY FAMILY'S ONLY VEHICLE. WE HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO KEEP DRIVING IT AND RISK OUR LIFES AND THE LIFE'S OF OTHERS DAILY. WE STILL OWE 11,000 ON THIS CAR. FORD KNEW OF THE PROBLEM WHEN THEY SOLD US THIS VEHICLE AND NOW WE HAVE TO SUFFER? WHEN IS FORD GOING TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THIS? WE WENT TO FORD REGARDING THIS IS ISSUE AND THEY REFLASHED THE TCM AND IT FIXED IT FOR 3 WEEKS THEN STARTED DOING THE SAME EXACT THING. THEY ALSO TOLD ME IF IT DONE IT AGAIN THEN I WOULD NEED A CLUTCH REPLACEMENT. (WHICH I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR BC THE MILES HAVE EXCEEDED THE EXTENDED WARRANTY) I AM SORRY BUT WHEN A CLUTCH GOES BAD IT'S GOING TO DO IT ALL THE TIME..NOT JUST RANDOMLY. I HAVE HEARD FROM SEVERAL PEOPLE WHO DID REPLACE THE CLUTCH 3 OR MORE TIMES AND THE PROBLEM STILL EXISTS. SO NO I WILL NOT BE PAYING FOR A NEW CLUTCH WHEN I'VE READ HUNDREDS OF COMMENTS FROM PEOPLE STATING THEY DID JUST THAT AND IT DIDN'T FIX IT.
I BOUGHT MY CAR BRAND NEW IN 2014, AND HAVE HAD SEVERAL ISSUES WITH THE TRANSMISSION/TCM. IT HAS BEEN "FLASHED" SEVERAL TIMES AS WELL AS A NEW "CLUTCH PACK". APPROX 3 WEEKS AGO WHILE DRIVING, I STARTED TO PASS A CAR ON A 2 LANE RD, AND AS I ACCELERATED I WAS ABLE TO GET NEXT TO THE OTHER CAR AND THEN MY CAR'S TACHOMETER JUST TACKED OUT AND DIDN'T HAVE ANY POWER TO GO. SO, AS I AM STUCK NEXT TO THIS OTHER CAR (AND ANOTHER CAR RIGHT BEHIND ME PASSING TOO) AND WITH ONCOMING TRAFFIC NOW, I HAD TO HIT MY BRAKES TO SLOW DOWN (IN ORDER TO GET BACK WHERE I WAS BEFORE I STARTED TO PASS), ALL THE WHILE THE CAR BEHIND ME IS ABOUT TO REAR-END ME. I HAD TO PULL OFF TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD TO CHECK MY PANTS, BECAUSE I THOUGHT I LITERALLY DEFACATED THINKING I WAS GOING TO GET SMASHED BETWEEN THE CAR BEHIND ME AND THE ONCOMING CAR DRIVING ABOUT 55MPH. I CALLED FORD AND TOLD THEM ABOUT IT ON THEIR RECORDED LINE AND THEY SAID THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO. I HAVE TALKED TO 3 DIFFERENT DEALERS (WABLE FORD SISTERSVILLE, WV) THEY FINALLY RAN A DIAGNOSTICS WHEN I SHOWED THEM THAT MY CAR DOESN'T HAVE REVERSE. I HAVE BEEN STUCK 4 DIFFERENT TIMES IN PARKING SPOTS BECAUSE MY CAR WOULDN'T GO IN REVERSE. HURT MY BACK PUSHING IT OUT OF 1 SPOT, AND I HAVE NEVER BEEN MORE FRUSTRATED. WABLES IN SISTERSVILLE SAID THEY DON'T DO LOANER CARS WHILE THEY TAKE THE 2 HOURS TO FIX THE TCM NOR DO THEY HAVE THE TIME TO DO IT. THERE WAS ANOTHER TIME WHEN I WAS PULLING ONTO THE INTERSTATE AND WAS ALMOST REARENDED BECAUSE AS I EASED ON THE GAS TO GET ON, THE TACHOMETER TACHED OUT AND I HAD NO POWER TO GO. I HAVE AN HOUR AND 15 MINUTE TRIP TO WORK AND A 1 HOUR AND 15 MIN TRIP HOME AND EACH OF THOSE TRIPS ARE HAIR RAISING BECAUSE I NEVER KNOW WHAT MY CAR WILL DO.
I PURCHASED THIS FORD W 15000 MILES ON IT. IT NOW HAS 37000 MILES. I FEEL LIKE THE CAR IS A LEMON. I HAVE HAD SEVERAL ISSUES REQUIRING ME TO GO FORD DEALERSHIP. FIRST THE GAS INFORMATION WAS INCORRECT. IT SAID I HAD 26 MILES TO DRIVE BUT RAN OUT OF GAS. THEN WHEN I WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY THE CAR GOT STUCK IN BETWEEN GEARS. I COULD NOT ACCELERATE. THEN THE I TRIED TO BACK OUT OF A PARKING SPOT AND THE I COULD NOT PUT CAR INTO REVERSE. AS A RESULT CAR WAS FIXED UNDER WARRANTY AND RECALL. THE ITEMS FIXED WERE GAS TANK RECALL, ENGINE MOUNT, CLUTCH, TRANSMISSION, AND (RESERVOIR TANK THAT WAS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY). I PICKED UP CAR AND NEXT DAY I DROVE TO WORK WITH THE SAME ISSUES. GEARS ARE NOT SHIFTING. TAKE BAKE TO DEALER AND FIXED TRANSMISSION MODULE. NOW THE POWER STEERING DOES NOT WORK. I TOOK IT TO FORD AND THEY CHARGED ME 160$ TO LOOK AT IT. IT WILL COST 1800$ TO FIX STEERING. THIS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. THE DEALER ALSO SAID THAT THE SUSPENSION NEEDS TO BE REPLACED SOON. HE STATED THAT SUSPENSION NEEDS TO BE REPLACE AT 50000 MILES MY CAR ONLY HAS 37000 MILES. I HAVE NEVER REPLACED SUSPENSION IN ANY OTHER CAR. IT MAKES NO'S SENSE WHY THIS CAR IS FALLING APART WITH 37000 MILES ON IT. IT'S A LEMON AND I WANT MY MONEY BACK. I BOUGHT THIS CAR FOR MY DAUGHTER AND IT IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE!
CAR HAS HAD HESITATION AND ROUGH IDLING... CAR WAS TAKEN IN TO DEALER TO HAVE ISSUES WITH RECALL 18S32 FIXED. FOR SOME REASON.. NO PARTS (INCLUDING CPV VALVE OR EEV CANISTER) WERE REPLACED. AFTER A DAY OF GETTING THE CAR BACK, THE ENGINE STALLED AND WOULD NOT RESTART. DIFFERENT DEALER IS STATING THE STARTER NEEDS TO BE REPLACED FOR ALMOST 800.00. CUSTOMER SERVICE AT FORD HAS BEEN OF NO HELP AND FOR SOME REASON I AM ALWAYS DISCONNECTED WHEN TALKING TO SOMEONE.

The contact had taken the vehicle to the dealer on multiple occasions where the clutch assembly and PCM (Power Train Control Module) were replaced under warranty after each failure. The failure persisted, with the check engine warning light illuminated. Upon investigation, the contact linked the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V735000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed him that the vehicle was not under recall or warranty. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.
THE TRANSMISSION IN THE CAR IS JERKING WHEN BELOW 10MPH AND ACTS AS IF IT IS SLIPPING. AFTER RESEARCH, THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM IN LOW MILEAGE VEHICLES OF THIS TYPE. SAFETY ISSUE WHEN AT STOP LIGHTS AND WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A STOP. AFRAID TO TAKE VEHICLE ON ROAD.
TL* THE CONTACT'S MOTHER OWNS A 2014 FORD FOCUS. WHILE THE CONTACT'S MOTHER WAS DRIVING 40 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE DRIVER WAS ABLE TO PARK THE VEHICLE ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE DRIVER ATTEMPTED TO SHIFT INTO REVERSE, BUT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO MOVE BACKWARDS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 82,000.
WE TEST DROVE FORD FOCUS 2014 SE WITH 50K MILES AT THE DODGE DEALER IN CLERMONT GOTTA. THE TRANSMISSION SHUTTERED WHEN GOING UPHILL AND TURNING LEFT WITH 4 PASSENGERS. WHEN POINTED OUT TO THE DEALER, THEY SAID IT WAS FINE. JUST HEAVY LOAD GOING UP HILL AND TURNING. WE DROVE THE CAR 2000 MILES AND THE TRANSMISSION GOT WORSE. FORD DEALER SAID THEY'D REPAIRED THE TRANSMISSION CLUTCHES ON MANY OF THESE FOCUS AUTOMATIC TIPTRONIC TRANSMISSIONS AND SOME WERE RECALLED SOME WEREN'T. OF COURSE "OURS" WASN'T A RECALL AND COST $2000 AFTER OWNING THE CASE LESS THEN 30 DAYS. THE DEALER SAYS IT WAS SOLD AS IS. I WON'T RECOMMEND THAT DODGE DEALER IN CLERMONT, FLORIDA! AFTER THE FORD DEALER REPAIRED THE TRANSMISSION AND DRIVING 2000 MILES MORE, THE TRANSMISSION IS SHUTTERING AND HESITATING AGAIN. FORD SHOULD ISSUE A RECALL ON THIS TRANSMISSION AS THERE ARE MANY PEOPLE HAVING THIS PROBLEM WITH LOW MILEAGE.
WHILE IN ACCELERATING VEHICLE STALLS AND TREMBLES BEFORE MAKING A LOT NOISE AND THEN IT ACCELERATES. YESTERDAY THE VEHICLE STARTED DECREASING SPONTANEOUSLY WHEN SHIFTING GEAR. IT FEELS LIKE THE TRANSMISSION WANTS TO FALL OF THE CAR, IT LIT THE CHECK ENGINE SIGN, THE MILLAGE ON IT IS 60675. I'VE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND HAVE HAD THE CLUTCH REPLACED TWICE. ALSO EVERY 3 TO 5 MONTHS I ALSO HAVE TO GO UNDER THE CAR AND CLEAN THE HORN PLUG SINCE IT KEEPS GOING MALFUNCTIONING ( I HAVE EVEN TRIED SEALING IT WITH ELECTRICAL TAPE) AND CURRENTLY I HAVE NO RADIO AND NO BLUETOOTH SINCE IT ALSO STOP SUDDENLY WHILE DRIVING.
I SERVICED MY FOCUS ON 5/29/19 FOR RECALLS. THEY PERFORMED A MULTI POINT INSPECTION. EVERYTHING NORMAL. 6/09/19, I WAS DRIVING DOWN CITY STREET 40MPH DRIVING STRAIGHT THE CAR DOWN SHIFTED SUDDENLY AND A WARNING " TRANSMISSION FAULTY, SERVICE NOW" CAME ON. I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE IT HOME , THE CAR WOULDNT SHIFT INTO A HIGHER GEAR. I ATTACHED BOTH SERVICES DONE . AFTER THE SECOND SERVICE WAS DONE TO MY VEHICAL IT STILL SHUDDERED WHEN ACCELERATING. 6/29/19 THIS OCCURED TWICE THE SAME DAY, I WAS WAITING AT AN INTERSECTION MAKING A LEFT HAND TURN INTO A GAS STATION, WHEN IT WAS SAFE TO TURN, I LET MY FOOT OF THE BRAKE AND MY CAR INCHED FORWARD WHILE I HIT GAS AND MY CAR DID NOT MOVE, I WAS NEARLY HIT BOTH TIMES , THE LAST SECOND WITH MY FOOT ON THE GAS ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE FLOOR, THE CAR JERKS INTO GEAR. IVE CALLED THE DEALERSHIP ABOUT FIXING THIS ISSUE , IVE LEFT MESSAGES WITH NO CALL BACK, I FINALLY GOT A SERVICE CALL SET BUT NOT UNTIL JULY 30TH. THIS HAS NOW OCCURED ALMOST EVERYDAY SINCE 6/29/19. THE CAR DOES NOT ALWAYS DO THIS , IT SEEMS TO ONLY DO IT IF IM BELOW A HALF A TANK , OR THE FIRST 60 MILES ON A FULL TANK. I FEAR FOR MY SAFETY DRIVING THIS CAR THAT WHEN I HIT THE GAS THE ENGINE WILL JUST REV U[ AND NOT MOVE AND GET HIT. THE CAR ALWAYS HAD A SHUDDER WHEN ACCELERATING SINCE WE PURCHASED IT 1/12/16, BUT THE SALES PERSON INSISTED WITH NEW FUEL SAVING SYSTEM THAT IT WAS COMPLETELY NORMAL. I DIDNT HAVE ANY MAJOR ISSUES BESIDES THE SHUDDER WHEN ACCELERATING, AND WHEN I WOULD START MY CAR UP THE FIRST TIME AFTER FILLING UP, UNTIL I GOT THE RECALL FIXED, NOW IVE HAD NOTHING BUT ISSUES.
MY VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY IN THE SHOP FOR TRANSMISSION REPAIR. NATIONAL NEWS REPORTS THAT THESE VEHICLE MODELS, ALONG WITH FIESTA'S HAVE TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS THAT CAUSE SHUTTERING AND/OR ACCELERATION ISSUES. MY VEHICLE HAD BOTH THESE ISSUES, FORTUNATELY, I WAS NOT KILLED BEFORE I COULD GET IT TO THE SHOP. MY CAR WOULD ACCELERATE ON ITS OWN WHICH IS ABSOLUTELY TERRIFYING. I WONDER WHY THERE IS NOT A SAFETY RECALL DUE TO THIS ISSUE? I WILL NOW HAVE TO PAY OUT OF POCKET FOR THE REPAIRS.
MY REAR DRIVER SIDE DOOR LATCH STOPPED LATCHING. IT WILL NO LONGER LOCK OR SHUT COMPLETELY. WHEN IT HAPPENED I WAS JUST LOADING MY BAG INTO MY BACKSEAT AND WENT TO SHUT THE DOOR. NOTHING WAS BLOCKING THE DOOR OR LATCH, IT JUST STOPPED WORKING.

The vehicle was taken to the dealer who informed the contact that they could not complete the recall repair as an unknown case was closed. The contact stated that the recall repair was not completed. The contact stated that the failure had been reoccurring while driving. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a case was opened. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 16,000.
WHEN SHIFTING DOWN FROM DRIVE TO PARK, MY SHIFT GETS STUCK IN NEUTRAL OR WHEN I AM SHIFTING FROM PARK TO REVERSE, I AM UNABLE TO MOVE THE CAR INTO ANOTHER GEARS. WHEN I AM AT A STOP LIGHT AND THE LIGHT TURNS GREEN MY CAR SEEMS TO STALLS TO TAKE OFF. WHEN I DRIVE DOWN THE STREET THE CAR ACTS LIKE IT WANTS TO SHUT OFF. A FORD TRUCK ALMOST HIT ME BECAUSE THE LIGHT WAS ALREADY GREEN AND MY CAR STALLED AND WOULD NOT GO. I HAD MY HAZARD LIGHTS AND HE SWERVED INTO ANOTHER LANE WHERE THE TRAFFIC WAS HEADED TOWARD THE TRUCK. THIS VERY DANGEROUS.

MY FORD FOCUS WOULD REV UP AND DOWN.... AND WHEN I WOULD HIT A SPEED OVER 50 MPH I COULDN'T PRESS THE GAS ANYMORE. I WOULD HAVE TO COAST TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD BECAUSE MY GAS PEDAL WOULDN'T TAKE ME ANYWHERE. THE LAST TIME IT HAPPENED, I ALMOST DIED. I WAS PULLING OUT OF THE GYM PARKING LOT AND IT STARTED ACTING UP AGAIN AND IT STALLED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD WITH ON COMING TRAFFIC. THE CAR WILL STAY ON BUT WHEN YOU PRESS THE GAS IT GOES NO WHERE. I TOOK IT TO FORD, AND THEY REPLACED WHAT THEY BELIEVE IS WRONG WITH THEIR CURRENT TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS. BUT IT STILL CONTINUES TO DO THE SAME THING. THEY ARE NOT SAFE CARS!!!!
MY PASSENGER SIDE HEADLIGHT KEEPS GOING OUT. EVEN AFTER REPLACING THE LIGHTS, THE LOW BEAM WILL NOT WORK. ALL THE FUSES HAVE BEEN CHECKED AND SEEM TO BE WORKING PROPERLY.

THE CAR RAN OUT OF GAS EVEN THOUGH THE GAUGE INDICATED THE CAR HAD ABOUT 60 MILES TO GO BEFORE EMPTY. NOW, THE TRANSMISSION SEEMS TO BE GOING OUT. WHEN THE CAR SHIFTS FROM 1ST TO 2ND GEAR IT FEELS LIKE THE CAR IS ABOUT TO STALL OUT.
YESTERDAY I NOTICED THAT MY STEERING SEEMED A LITTLE HARD TO KEEP GOING STRAIGHT. TODAY WHEN I GOT IN AND STARTED DRIVING MY CAR FLASHED A "STEERING FAILURE GET CHECKED" MESSAGE AND WAS EVEN HARDER TO DRIVE. I MADE IT TO MY APPOINTMENT AND WHEN I LEFT 30 MINUTES LATER AND TURNED MY CAR ON I HAD A NEW MESSAGE, "STEERING LOSS STOP SAFELY". NOW I CAN'T EVEN MOVE MY STEERING WHEEL. LUCKILY I WASN'T ON THE EXPRESSWAY GOING 70 MPH WHEN THIS HAPPENED.
TAKATA RECALL. I TOOK MY 2014 FORD FOCUS TO A FORD DEALERSHIP BECAUSE MY CAR GAS GAUGE WAS SHOWING ERRATIC MILEAGE AND BECAUSE I KNEW I HAD A RECALL. I RECEIVED MY VEHICLE WITH THE SAME PROBLEM AS I TOOK IT IN. MY GAUGE STILL KEPT SHOWING ERRATIC MILEAGE.I WENT BACK 5 DAYS LATER TTO TELL THEM WHAT WAS GOING ON AND I ASKED WHAT PROCEDURE THEY HAD DONE. THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY HAD ONLY REPROGRAMMED A MODULE. I TOLD THEM IF THEY COULD CHECK IT OUT AGAIN AND THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY COULD BUT THEY WERE GOING TO CHARGE ME A DIAGNOSTIC FEE BECAUSE THEY HAD ALREADY PERFORMED THE RECALL. THE DIAGNOSTIC CAME OUT AND IT TURNED OUT THAT MY CAR NEEDS A NEW FUEL PUMP, CANISTER PURGE VALVE, AND FUEL TANK. I TOLD THEM THAT THOSE THINGS WERE SUPPOSED TO BE FIXED THE FIRST TIME I BROUGHT IT BECAUSE IT WAS PART OF THE RECALL. THEY TRANSFERRED ME TO FORD INTERNAL SOMETHING AND FORD SAID THAT THE RECALL WAS ALREADY PERFORMED AND THAT IT WAS MY RESPONSIBILITY NOW. I MEAN HOW DOES A COMPANY LIKE FORD CAN BE SO UNPROFESSIONAL ABOUT SOMEBTING LIKE THIS. I MEAN PART OF THE RECALL IS TO TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO GET THOSE THINGS FIXED THAT THE FORD ASSEMBLY LINE FAILED TO ADDRESS WHEN MAKING THE MODEL. NOW I AM EVEN MORE SCARED BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW WHEN I WILL GET STRANDED SOMEWHERE BECAUSE I'M NOT SURE WHAT GAS MILEAGE IT HAS.
IN THE COURSE OF LESS THAN A MONTH, THE CAR'S PROBLEM PROGRESSED FROM INTERMITTENT STARTING ISSUES THAT LEFT ME STRANDED TO A FULL-ON FAILURE OF THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM. THE CLUTCH OF THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN REPLACED AND THE TRANSMISSION REPAIRED IN JUNE 2018. ON MAY 30TH, 2019, THE CAR WAS TAKEN IN DUE TO TRANSMISSION STARTING ISSUES. THE LIGHTS WOULD TURN ON WHEN TURNING THE KEY, BUT THE ENGINE WOULD NOT CRANK. THE CAR WAS RETURNED AFTER THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE WAS REPLACED. ON JUNE 11, 2019, THE CAR WAS RETURNED TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR THE SAME ISSUE. CAR WOULD NOT START AND TOOK ABOUT 50 TRIES AFTER HAVING BEEN STRANDED FOR SEVERAL HOURS. CAR WAS RETURNED TO ME SEVERAL DAYS LATER BECAUSE NOTHING WAS FOUND. ON JUNE 19, 2019, I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY, I WAS IN THE LEFT LANE GOING ABOUT 60 MPH. I TRIED TO ACCELERATE TO PASS SOMEONE, AND MY CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. WHEN I LOOKED DOWN, MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS FLASHING, MY BATTERY LIGHT WAS ON, AND MY OIL LIGHT WAS ON. THE CAR DOWNSHIFTED AND STARTED TO RAPIDLY DECELERATE. ENGINE SHUT DOWN, AND CAR WAS ROLLING TO A STOP. I HAD TO RUSH TO THE RIGHT LANE IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC, AND I MANAGED TO ROLL MY WAY UP THE EXIT RAMP, WHERE MY CAR SHUT DOWN COMPLETELY AT THE TOP OF THE EXIT RAMP. CAR WOULD NOT RESTART, AND I WAS STRANDED THERE FOR OVER AN HOUR IN A DANGEROUS PLACE AND SITUATION. I CALLED A TOW, AND AFTER TRYING TO START MY CAR INTERMITTENTLY FOR OVER AN HOUR, THE ENGINE FINALLY STARTED. I DROVE IT STRAIGHT TO THE DEALERSHIP TO BE CHECKED OUT AGAIN.THE SAME ISSUE WITH TRANSMISSION CONTROL HAS PERSISTED, RESULTING IN ME HAVING TO TAKE THE CAR IN ON THREE SEPARATE OCCASIONS IN ABOUT TWO WEEKS. IT STARTED OF FROM INTERMITTENT STARTING ISSUES TO THE CAR SHUTTING DOWN COMPLETELY WHILE TRAVELING AT A HIGH SPEED. THIS CAR HAS DONE NOTHING BUT PUT ME IN DANGER, AND I HAVEN'T EVEN PAID IT OFF YET.
TRANSMISSION WAS JERKING LIKE A MANUAL WHEN SHIFTING OUR 2014 FORD FOCUS WITH 47,706 MILES. TOOK TO LOCAL DEALERSHIP AND THEY TOLD ME I WAS OUT OF WARRANTY. READ AN ARTICLE ABOUT AND EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR SUCH AN ISSUE. I AM ATTACHING MY INVOICE FOR REPAIRS.
THE TRANSMISSION IS KNOWN TO BE FAULTY. MINE STUDDERS WHEN GOING FROM FIRST TO SECOND WHEN TAKING OFF FROM A STOP LIKE SOMEONE WHO CAN'T DRIVE A MANUAL. MY 01 FOCUS IS A MANUAL. IT HAS SLIPPED OUT OF GEAR MULTIPLE TIMES ON ME AND FRIENDS DRIVING IT IN INTERSECTIONS, AND HIGHWAYS. THE CAR IS 5 YEARS OLD. SHOULD NOT HAVE THESE PROBLEMS. I FEAR IT WILL WND UP CAUSING HARM TO MYSELF OR OTHERS. IT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED AND FIXED
THE VEHICLE HAD A RECALL ON THE TRANSIMISSION. I TOOK THE VEHICLE IN FOR THE RECALL. THE VEHICLE RAN GOOD FOR ABOUT TWO MONTHS. THE VEHICLE HAS STARTED TO SLIPE WHEN I HIT THE GAS, LIKE IT NEEED MORE GAS. IF THE GAS PADLE IF HIT ANY HARDER, I GOING TO PUSH IT THROUGHT THE FLOOR.

THE VEHICLE WAS SLOW TO CHANGE GEARS AT ANY GIVEN POINT WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START AND FAILED TO SHIFT INTO REVERSE SEVERAL TIMES INTERMITTENTLY. IN ADDITION, THE MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LAMP FLASHED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO DAVID STANLEY FORD OF MIDWEST CITY (6601 SE 29TH ST, MIDWEST CITY, OK 73110, (405) 733-1611) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED SEVERAL TIMES, BUT FAILED TO PROVIDE A PERMANENT REMEDY. THE DEALER LATER DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND THE VEHICLE WAS EXCLUDED FROM NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 13V523000 (POWER TRAIN). THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE THAT THE VEHICLE EXHIBITED WAS RELATED TO THE RECALL CAMPAIGN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR FURTHER DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
