DRIVING MY VEHICLE IN NORMAL CONDITIONS WITH OVER 30 MILES LEFT TO A CHARGE ON A SUBURBAN STREET GOING APPROXIMATELY 45 MILES PER HOUR, SUDDENLY A RED TRIANGLE WARNING APPEARED ON THE DASH STATING STOP SAFELY NOW. 60 SECONDS LATER THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF AND I LOST ALL POWER LEAVING ME STRANDED IN THE DARK IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET. AFTER ABOUT 20 MINUTES I WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE AND PROCEED HOME. THERE IS NEVER ANY PRIOR WARNING TO THIS HAPPENING. THIS HAS HAPPENED 3 TIMES TO ME WITHIN A 2 MONTH PERIOD AND I HAVE TAKEN IT TO MY DEALERSHIP TWICE WITH NO RESULTS. I DRIVE 40 MILES TO WORK ONE WAY ON VERY BUSY PHOENIX FREEWAYS AND AM PETRIFIED THIS WILL HAPPEN IN THE HOV LANE AND I END UP IN A DANGEROUS SITUATION. I HAVE FOUND THIS TO BE AN ISSUE ON PREVIOUS YEARS MODEL RECALL NO 13V-523000. THE DEALERSHIP IS NO HELP AND TOLD ME THEY COULD FIND NO INFORMATION REGARDING IT EVEN THOUGH I DID.
THE TRANSMISSION IS SHUTTERING AND SOMETIMES MAKES LONG HESITATIONS TO SHIFT. THIS IS DANGEROUS AND NEEDS TO BE RECALLED. I TOOK IT TO TIDWELL FORD IN KENNESAW, GA AND THEY TOLD ME ITS NORMAL AND UNTIL A CODE (WRENCH) LIGHTS ON MY DASH, THEY CANNOT DO ANYTHING. I BOUGHT THE CAR WITH 48K ON THE MILEAGE AND NOW HAVE 54K. THE TRANSMISSION (POWERTRAIN) IS WARRANTIED TO 60000. I AM AFRAID THIS IS GOING TO BE A DISASTER. I WOULD LIKE THE CAR FIXED OR ANOTHER CAR. THE GEARS GRIND AND NOISES HAPPEN WHEN TURNING. I NEED A RESOLUTION ON THIS BEFORE MY WARRANTY RUNS OUT CODE OR NO CODE. I JUST PICKED MY CAR UP AND IT IS STILL SHUTTERING. TIDWELL FORD DID NOT HELP ME.
FUEL TANK DEFORMATION: MY CAR STOPS WITH NO WARNING AT LEAST 2 -3 TIMES DAILY. IT'S GETTING WORSE AND IS NOW HARDER TO RESTART. THIS IS DANGEROUS AND CAN BE DEADLY. CAR RANDOMLY SHUTS OFF. NO WARNING IS GIVEN. CAR WILL SHUT OFF WHILE IN MOTION ON ANY CITY STREET. CAR WAS AT 3/4 TANK OF FUEL WHEN THIS OCCURRED.

THE DOOR FAILED TO LATCH CLOSED AND HAD TO BE PHYSICALLY HELD SHUT WHILE DRIVING. THE CONTACT CALLED A COUPLE OF DEALERS, INCLUDING O. C. WELCH FORD LINCOLN, INC. (843-288-0100, LOCATED AT 4920 INDEPENDENCE BLVD, HARDEEVILLE, SC 29927) AND WAS INFORMED TO CALL THE MANUFACTURER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 70,000.
THE TRANSMISSION WARNING LIGHT CAME ON AND THE CAR WAS SPUTTERING BECAUSE OF THE DRY CLUTCH. IT HAPPENED WHEN THE CAR WAS IN MOTION ON A CITY STREET
I PURCHASED THIS CAR FROM SCHALLER AUTO WORLD ON 11/14 18 AND THE FOUR TIRES ON THE CAR BY STATE LAW ARE UNSAFE TO BE ON THE ROAD,STATE LAW IS 5.0 AND ABOVE,ALL FOUR WERE MEASURED TO BE 2.0 AND ABOVE TO BE BELOW 3.0. I WENT TO THEM WITH MY COMPLAINT AND THEY WON'T HELP ME .I HAVE PROVE WITH PICTURES AND PAPERWORK TO BACK MY SITUATION UP.WHAT AM I TO DO?
MAJOR ACCIDENT WITH NO AIR BAY DEPLOYMENT.
MAJOR ACCIDENT AND THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. IN MOTION GOING STRAIGHT UNTIL THE TRUCK HIT THE CAR.
12-2-2016 PURCHASE DATE. PURCHASE WAS DELAYED BECAUSE SANDIFAR'S HAD TO TAKE IT TO A DEALERSHIP FOR TRANSMISSION REPAIR. CLUTCH PACK IS WHAT I REMEMBER BEING TOLD. 1-26-19 BREAK DOWN. DRIVING TO WORK ON A PAVED COUNTY ROAD AND GOT A 'TRANSMISSION OVERTEMP' ERROR (IT WAS IN THE TEENS TEMPERATURE-WISE OUTSIDE WITH SNOW ON THE GROUND). TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT FUNCTION FOR SEVERAL MINUTES, THEN WOULD ONLY GO A MILE OR 15 BEFORE OVERHEATING AGAIN. FINALLY GAVE UP AT THE DINER AT HIGHWAY 9 AND HIGHWAY 26. HAD IT TOWED (PAID $200) TO HUBLER/DELLEN/MCCOY/WHATEVER IN MUNCIE. HAD TO RENT A CAR FOR TWO DAYS (I HAD IT FOR MORE THAN 24 HOURS). THEY REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE UNDER WARRANTY AND CHARGED ME $430.96 TO REPLACE THE CLUTCH ACTUATOR. AS FAR AS I CAN TELL IT STILL SLIPS. SEPTEMBER 2019 RECEIVE LETTER FROM FORD. HAD SOME WORK DONE AT ADAMS (ACROSS FROM WORK IN KOKOMO). THEY MENTION THE CLUTCH SEEMS TO BE SLIPPING. 11-11-19 TO IT TO BRAD HOWELL FORD IN KOKOMO. TALKED TO JEFF IN THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT. HE MADE COPIES OF MY LETTER AND MY PAPERWORK FROM HUBLER. THE SERVICE MANAGER WAS SUPPOSED TO LOOK INTO WHAT CAN BE DONE AND CALL ME.
The contact called on behalf of her daughter who owns a 2015 Ford Focus. The contact stated that while her daughter was driving 45 MPH, while attempting to accelerate, the vehicle started jerking while depressing the accelerator pedal. No warning lights were illuminated. The contact also stated that the vehicle jerked while accelerating from a stop. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where the vehicle was diagnosed, and the contact was informed that the clutch was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, a year later the failure reoccurred. The contact stated that the clutch had been replaced twice however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 40,000.

CLUTCH IN TRANSMISSION SLIPS. RECALLED ON OTHER MODELS BUT NOT THIS ONE. CAUSES CAR TO NOT TAKE OFF SMOOTHLY, JITTERS BAD ENOUGH TO SHAKE THE CAR.
RACK AND PINION AREA MAKES A LOUD RUBBING NOISE. EVERY TURN TO THE LEFT OR RIGHT HARD TO TURN WHEN DRIVING AT LOW SPEEDS 0-20 MPH
The contact owns a 2015 Ford Focus. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle shuddered without warning. The contact then received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 18V169000 (Power train). The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where the recall was serviced, and the clutch was replaced. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred a year later. The contact then took the vehicle back to the dealer where it was diagnosed with the clutch needing to be replaced. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure and informed the contact that they could not assist due to the warranty being expired. The failure mileage was approximately 82,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 93,274.
HAD TAKEN MY 2015 FOCUS INTO SARASOTA FORD IN SARASOTA,FLORIDA TO BE SERVICED AND RECALL ABOUT THE CLUTCH RECALL. THEY HAD ISSUED ME A 2018 FORD FUSION COURTESY VEHICLE FOR 3 DAYS WHILE WORKING ON MY CAR FOR THE RECALL, AS WELL AS THE WIPERBLADE MOTORS BOGGING DOWN TO NOTHING ON THEIR OWN WHILE UNDER WARRANTY. I WAS GIVEN A REPORT UPON PICKUP SAYING THAT THE TECHNICIAN DROVE THE CAR TO SMELL FOR BURNING DISC AND LOOKED THROUGH INSPECTION PORT AND WROTE THAT THERE WAS NO BURNING SMELL, THAT CLUTCH IS FINE AND THAT THE WIPER ISSUE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. WIPER ISSUE I HAVE PERSONALLY VERIFIED UPON PICKING UP MY VEHICLE THAT WAS NEVER FIXED. RECALL ISSUE WAS NEVER REMEDIED PER RECALL ORDER INSPECTION AND OR FIX INCLUDING REPROGRAMMING. I HAVE GONE ON MULTIPLE WEBSITES TO PULL MY CAR SERVICE HISTORY AND THERE IS NO RECORD OF MY CAR EVER GOING IN FOR SERVICE THERE. THIS TELLS ME (SPECULATION) THEY NEVER REPORTED MY VEHICLE AS BEING SERVICED, AND ALSO ALL WEBSITES INCLUDING FORD PASS IS STATING MY VEHICLE AS BEING UNRESOLVED WITH THE ISSUE. I HAVE CHECKED TODAY AS WELL (2-10-20) AND NO CHANGES OR RECORD HAS BEEN RECORDED. CURRENTLY IN THE PROCESS OF FINDING MY VEHICLE REPORT FROM THEM FOR DOCUMENTATION. UPON INVESTIGATION, THE CONTACT ASSOCIATED THE FAILURE WITH, NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 18V169000 (POWER TRAIN) HOWEVER THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 35,000.
MY WIFE DROVE TO WORK, THE CAR FUNCTIONED FINE. WHEN SHE STARTED THE CAR AFTER WORK THE CAR COMPUTERS NOTIFIED HER THE STEERING ASSIST SYSTEM HAD FAILED. SHE NOTICED SHE COULD BARELY TURN THE WHEEL. SHE CALLED ME AND I ASKED HER TO ATTEMPT TO DRIVE HOME AND I WOULD LOOK INTO IT. I DISCOVERED THAT I COULD DO LITTLE BUT TAKE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIRS.
STEERING WHEEL MAKES A LOUD SOUND WHEN MAKING TURNS. WHEN TURNING LEFT, STEERING WHEEL LOCKS IN PLACE AND NEEDS TO BE CORRECTED BY TURNING RIGHT. VERY DANGEROUS WHEN MAKING SHARP LEFT TURNS OR EVEN JUST LEFT CURVES.
BROUGHT THE CAR BRAND NEW, ENJOYED DRIVING IT BUT THEN A YEAR LATER THE CAR WOULD FEEL LIKE IT WOULD STALL BUT IT WOULDN'T STALL THEN WHEN BRAKING IT WOULD ACCELERATE MORE. TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AT HONOLULU FORD 1370 N. KING STREET HONOLULU, HI 96817 FOR AN OIL CHANGE AND TOLD THEM ABOUT IT ALSO TOLD THEM I GOT A RECALL LETTER IN THE MAIL AND SHOWED IT TO THEM BUT ALL I GOT WAS "OH YOU DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THAT RIGHT NOW"! RECENTLY I HAVE CALLED THE DEALERSHIP ABOUT THE RECALL AND STILL NOTHING. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE AND VERY RUDE.I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO SO THE ONLY THING I CAN DO IS CALL THEM EVERY WEEK AND ASK ABOUT THE RECALL.
LOSS OF POWER STEERING WARNING; SUDDEN AND TOTAL LOSS POWER STEERING WHILE DRIVING ON CITY STREET. IT TOOK LOTS OF STRENGTH TO MOVE THE VEHICLE SAFELY TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THIS WOULD BE AN IMPOSSIBLE TASK FOR AN ELDERLY PERSON. AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS THIS WOULD HAVE DEFINITELY CAUSE AND ACCIDENT. DEALER SAID I NEED TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE STEERING RACK & PINION (WITH ALIGNMENT) AT A COST $2,027. MILAGE ON CAR IS 68,317K
ENGINE OVERHEATED AT 56478 MILES WITH NO WARNING 1.0 LITER THREE CYLINDER. DRIVING 70 MPH AND TEMP GAGES WENT INTO RED WITHOUT ANY ADVANCED WARNING PULLED OVER.
BEEN WAITING 2 MONTHS FOR FUEL TANK AND OR VALVE TO FIX RECALL. VEHICLE SHUTTERS. NOW I CALL ABOUT THE PARTS COMING IN AND THE SERVICE WRITER (SR) STATES THE FUEL PUMP WILL BE REPLACED AS WELL. I TRIED TO CONFIRM THIS WITH FORD AND THEY HAD NO KNOWLEDGE OF FUEL PUMP BEING ADDED TO THE FIX.
THE FORD FOCUS RECALL FOR THE FUEL TANK DEFORMATION IS NOT ACCURATE. THE RECALL LETTER WE RECEIVED SAID TO MAINTAIN AT LEAST 1/2 TANK OF FUEL, BUT MY CAR HAS SHUT DOWN MULTIPLE TIMES WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND AT TURNAROUNDS DESPITE HAVING A FULL TANK. THE SOLUTION TO THIS WAS PREVIOUSLY ANNOUNCED FOR DECEMBER 2018 AND HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL THE FIRST QUARTER OF 2019. FORD NEEDS TO BE FURTHER PRESSURED TO FIND A SOLUTION NOW AS THIS POSES A MAJOR CRASH RISK. IN ADDITION TO THIS, I'VE BEGUN NOTICING ISSUES WITH THE STEERING WHEEL MAKING A NOISE. UPON TAKING IT TO A MECHANIC, I WAS TOLD THAT THE STEERING RACK AND PINION HAD TO BE REPLACED AND THAT SEVERAL OTHER OWNERS OF THE SAME MODEL HAD COMPLAINED ABOUT THEIR STEERING BECOMING UNUSABLE. FORD SHOULD ISSUE A RECALL FOR THIS AS WELL.

DECELERATION WHILE DRIVING IN TOWN, WHILE DRIVING GEARS CHANGING WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE, THRUSTING INTO GEAR WHILE MOVING. CLUTCH REPLACED 2017. ALL OF THIS STARTED HAPPENING ABOUT 4 MONTHS AFTER I BOUGHT CAR FROM YOU MENTIONED DEALER, NEW. SO, SINCE 2015, ONGOING ISSUES STATED ABOVE. FORD TELLS ME IT'S ALL MY IMAGINATION.

MY ENGINE CONSTANTLY STALLS WHEN ACCELERATING. THIS HAPPENS NOT ONLY IN LOW RPM USE BUT ALSO WHEN I AM ON THE FREEWAY. THE STALLING MAKES MY CAR SHAKE AND IT IS MAKING DRIVING EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND I AM CONSTANTLY HESITANT TO HAVE MY FAMILY INSIDE OF MY CAR. I AM STILL WAITING FOR THE RECALL TO CONTACT TO FIX THE SOLUTION BUT IT IS TAKING AN UNREASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME. PLEASE EXPEDITE THENHTSA RECALL REGARDING MY CAR.
MY 2015 FORD FOCUS HESITATES DURING TAKE-OFF WITH A KNOWN DUAL-CLUTCH TRANSMISSION PROBLEM. THIS HESITATION CAUSES THE CAR TO JOLT BACK AND FORTH WITH A POSSIBLE CAUSE TO CRASH INTO THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF YOU DURING SLOW TRAFFIC. THE SERVICE ADVISOR AT THE FORD DEALERSHIP HAS EXPLAINED THIS AS AN ANNOYANCE INSTEAD OF A SAFETY ISSUE. FORD HAS EXTENDED THE WARRANTY FOR THE CLUTCH REPLACEMENT, BUT I BOUGHT THIS CAR WITH A REBUILT TITLE AND FORD WILL NOT HONOR OR COVER THE CLUTCH UNDER THE WARRANTY. THEY WANT TO CHARGE ME $2000 ON A KNOWN PROBLEM BECAUSE OF THE REBUILT TITLE. NOW A DAYS IT DOES NOT TAKE MUCH FOR AN INSURANCE COMPANY TO TOTAL A CAR WITH A SMALL FENDER BENDER. FORD MOTOR COMPANY SHOULD COVER THE TRANSMISSION WARRANTY OF THE CAR WITH EITHER A CLEAN TITLE OR SALVAGED TITLE.

I HAVE HAD THIS CAR FOR ALMOST 2 YEARS. ALMOST EVERYDAY WHEN I DRIVE THE CAR, IT STALL, SLIPPED OR DOESN'T WANT TO GO AT TAKE OFF. THERE HAS BEEN MANY TIME WHERE I PRESS THE GAS TO GO WHILE IN DRIVE AND IT WON'T GO AND ACTS LIKE IT'S IN NEUTRAL. I HAVE ALMOST GOTTEN IN CAR ACCIDENTS BECAUSE OF THIS PROBLEM. THE TRANSMISSION IS HORRIBLE. IT'S THE DUAL-CLUTCH TRANSMISSION. THEY HAVE EVEN SENT OUT A LETTER STATING THAT IT'S THE TRANSMISSION AND IF YOU HAVE HAD IT SERVICES 3 OR MORE TIMES, YOU CAN GET CASH OR REPLACEMENT CAR. I DON'T HAVE THE MONEY TO GO GET IT CHECKED OUT 3 TIMES AND I ALSO DON'T REALLY NEED TO BECAUSE I ALREADY KNOW THE PROBLEM. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND CAN CAUSE A MAJOR ACCIDENT.
THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THE FUEL PURGE VALVE GETTING STUCK AND NOT ALLOWING MY CAR TO STAY ON AFTER TURNING MY CAR ON IT WILL RUN FOR 5 TO 10 SECONDS BEFORE IT STALLS DUE TO LOSS OF FUEL. I TOOK MY CAR TO FORD DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID THEY DID NOT HAVE THE PART TO REPLACE IT, BUT THEY TOOK MY CAR IN, ONCE I GOT MY CAR THE VERY SAME DAY BACK. IT DID IT AGAIN THE NEXT MORNING. I HAVE TRIED FUEL CLEANERS TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM BUT IT STILL PERSISTS, IT STALLED ON ME WHILE DRIVING ON THIS PAST MONDAY, AND NOW WHEN I TRY TO SEARCH FOR THE RECALL FOR INFORMATION IT LOOKS LIKE IT WAS TAKEN OFF FROM THEIR WEBSITE. THE ISSUE IS NOT FIXED AND THEY DO NOT HAVE THE PART? AS A CONSUMER WHAT CAN WE DO TO FIX A DEFECT FROM MANUFACTURING. MY CAR IS A 2015 FORD FOCUS WITH 75K MILES AND THERE WAS ISSUES WITH THIS CAR FROM THE START, INCLUDING THE KNOWN ISSUE ABOUT THE DUAL CLUTCH TRANSMISSION WHERE IT STUTTERS AND SHAKES WHILE TRYING TO CHANGE GEARS AND TAKE OFF FROM FULL STOP. THIS CAR SHOULD BE CONSIDER A LEMON CAR AND NO ONE SHOULD BUY IT. THIS IS FRAUD BY FORD AND THEY KNOW IT.

IVE HAD MY LUG NUTS SWALLON AND UNABLE TO CHANGE MY OWN TIRE. ON THREE DIFFERENT OCCASIONS. NAIL IN MY TIRE. TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP IMMEDIATELY THE CLAMPED 2 TIMES THAT THEY FIXED MY LUG NUTS AND NEVER DID. IVE SPOKE TO SEVERAL OTHER FOCUS OWNERS AND HAVE THE SAME ISSUE. THE POWER TRAIN CLUTCH HAS BEEN REPLACED 4 TIMES IN THE LAST THREE IN A HALF YEARS. IVE HAD MY CAR STALL OUT IN ME SEVERAL TIMES AT A STOP LIGHT. IT TAKES IT A MINUTE TO SLIP INTO REVERSE. DOESNT MATTER WHAT GEAR YOU ARE SWITCHING IT FROM IT WILL GO INTO NETURAL/PARK BEFORE CLICKING INTO REVERSE.
I RECEIVED A NOTICE BACK IN DECEMBER 2018 ABOUT A RECALL ON A POSSIBLE ISSUE WITH MY CAR'S CPV POSSIBLE STICKING AND STALLING CAR. I FEEL FORD HAS EXCEED A REASONABLE TIME FRAME IN COMING UP WITH A SOLUTION TO THIS ISSUE. MAKING SURE I HAVE A 1/2 TANK OF GAS IN MY CAR AT ALL TIMES IS NOT AN ACCEPTABLE SOLUTION TO ME.
HELLO, MY VEHICLE STOPPED WORKING TWICE WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON CITY STREETS (THIS TUESDAY 12/18/2018 AND THURSDAY 12/20/2018). THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED I WAS STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT AND THE SECOND TIME THE CARE WAS IN MOTION WHEN IT FIRST HAPPENED, THE OIL INDICATOR AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. OIL WAS PUT IN THE CAR AND UNFORTUNATELY THAT DIDN'T SOLVE THE PROBLEM SINCE IT HAPPENED AGAIN ON THURSDAY 12/20/2018. WHEN THE VEHICLE STOPPED ON 12/20/2018, THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AS WELL AS THE BATTERY LIGH. I HAD THE CAR TOWED TO A FORD DEALERSHIP ON 12/20/2018 AND THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT. I AM AFRAID OF IT HAPPENING AGAIN.
RECALL #19N08. THE CAR HAS WHAT RECALL LETTER SAYS IS "A JUDDER OR SHUDDER ON LIGHT ACCELERATION FROM A STOP OR DURING SHIFT EVENTS"; ALTHOUGH MINE IS NOT 'LIGHT'. SEVERAL TIMES UPON ENTERING A MAIN STREET FROM A SIDE STREET THE CAR SHUDDER'S SO BADLY I ALMOST GET HIT. WHEN DRIVING ON A TURNPIKE, I ACCELERATE, AND IT SHUDDERS. AT A STOP, IT SHAKES & SHUDDERS FOR 3 OR 4 CAR LENGTHS. IT'S NOT SAFE & IT'S GOTTEN WORSE SINCE I GOT THE CAR. MATTHEW'S FORD IN BROKEN ARROW, OK SAYS I DO NOT HAVE A CLEAN TITLE AND WHEN I CALLED THE OKLAHOMA COMMISSION DMV OFFICE, THEY SAY THE TITLE IS 'BRANDED'. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? AND, ONE OF THEM SAID THAT THE WARRANTY HAD BEEN CANCELLED, THEREFORE THERE CAN BE NO RECALL WORK DONE ON THE VEHICLE. THERE ARE SOME EXTENUATING CIRCUMSTANCES SURROUNDING THIS CAR. THE DEALERSHIP LIED TO ME ABOUT THE FINANCING (HURTING MY CREDIT AND FINANCES) AND WE ENDED UP IN A LAWSUIT, WHICH WAS SETTLED. I WOULD HOPE THAT THE DEALERSHIP WOULD NOT DO ANYTHING MEAN TO HURT ME FURTHER. DURING THE LAWSUIT THEY HAD PROVIDED ME WITH A TITLE, BUT IT WAS NOT NOTARIZED PROPERLY, AND I COULDN'T GET A TAG FOR ALMOST 9 MONTHS. WHEN WE SETTLED, I RECEIVED A GREEN TITLE EXACTLY LIKE I HAD ON OTHER CARS...SO I DON'T KNOW WHAT IS WRONG WITH IT THAT HINDERS ME FROM A RECALL REPAIR. I'M 74 AND HAVE BOUGHT A LOT OF CARS AND THE TITLE LOOKS EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE OTHERS, NO NOTATIONS OR STAMPS ON IT OR ANYTHING. I EVEN LOOKED ON CAR-FAX AND TALKED TO THE PREVIOUS OWNER (A FEMALE COLLEGE STUDENT) BEFORE AGREEING TO PURCHASE THE CAR. THERE WAS ONLY 32,000 MILES ON IT WHEN I FIRST LOOKED AT IT DECEMBER 17, 2018. JUST REMEMBERED...THE SALESMAN SNEAKED IN A "TIRE & WHEEL WARRANTY" FOR $1,600. I CANCELLED IT, BUT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH MECHANICAL PART OF CAR AND WARRANTY PLACE SENT MONEY BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP, WHICH THEY KEPT.

ON THE DAY OF 12/7/18I WILL GO TO WORK. WHEN I GOT OUT OF MY FRIEND'S HOUSEI DROVE OUT A JUNCTION AND FOUND THAT MY STEERING WAS DIFFICULT TO TURN.THEN I STOPPED AT THE ROADSIDE AND RESTARTED THE CAR.WHEN I CONTINUED DRIVING,THE SYSTEM SHOW ME STEERING LOSSSTEERING STOP WORK.I TRIED TO RESTART MANY TIMES, THE SYSTEM STILL DIDN'T ALTER, I WAS SURE THAT MY STEERING WHEEL HAD BROKEN. BEFORE THAT, ON THE DAY OF 02/20/2018, I TRIED TO DROVE OUT MY HOUSE GARAGE. THE STEERING WHEEL BROKE DOWN ONCE, I WAS ALSO ON MY WAY TO WORK. TWO TIMES I WAS UNABLE TO GO TO WORK.I HAD TO WASTE TIME CALL THE TOWING AND CALLED MY COMPANY A LEAVE OF ABSENCE. THIS CAR SERIOUSLY AFFECTED MY WORK AND LIFE. THIS IS A TERRIBLE THINGS, IF I DRIVE SUCH A CAR ON THE HIGH SPEED,I MAY BE DEAD. THANK GOD JUST LET ME STOP IN A SAFE PLACE.THE FIRST REPAIR COST $880, AND THE SECOND REPAIR COST WAS $20504.03 (THE STEERING COST WAS $1758.05).THIS CAR HAS MAJOR HIDDEN DANGERS AND ALSO BROUGHT LOSSES TO MY ECONOMY.I HOPE THAT I CAN SAVE MY LOST.
THE UPPER HALF WHEN I ADJUST IT SOMETIMES DOESN'T CLICK IN ALL THE WAY AND AS I'M DRIVING ONE SIDE WILL GIVE OUT AND CLICK INTO ONE BEHIND THE ONE I SET IT AS AND IT'S ONLY ONE SIDE.
COOLANT RESERVOIR CRACKED, LOST A LOT OF COOLANT WHICH CAUSED MY ENGINE TO OVERHEAT. WAS DRIVING DOWN ROAD AND NOTICED MY COOLANT ENGINE SENSOR OVERHEATING. STOPPED THE CAR IN A PARK.
WHEN I AM DRIVING MY CAR IS FINE, HOWEVER WHEN I COME TO A COMPLETE STOP THEN TRY TO ACCELERATE, MY CAR'S TRANSMISSION SEEMS TO STICK... THEN IT CAUSES MY CAR TO SHUDDER AND SHAKE. THIS ISSUE ALSO OCCURS DURING ACCELERATING AT LOWER SPEEDS (10-30MPH) AND CAN OCCUR DURING ACCELERATION WHEN A COMPLETE STOP HAS NOT BEEN MADE.

THE "DRY" CLUTCH WENT OUT AS I WAS DRIVING UPHILL, REDUCING MY MOVEMENT TO A JERKING, STUTTERING MOTION THAT JUST BARELY ALLOWED ME TO DRIVE TO DEALERSHIP. THIS CLUTCH FAILURE FOLLOWS MONTHS OF STUTTERING, JERKING AT LOW SPEEDS AS IF THE CAR WOULD STALL. TAKING THE CAR FOR REGULAR MAINTENANCE FOUND "NOTHING WRONG." THIS CLUTCH HAD ALREADY BEEN REPLACED ONCE AT ONLY 26,700 MILES .FOCUS HAD 68,000 MILES WHEN IT WANT BAD AGAIN. DEALERSHIP REPORTS SEEING MANY PROBLEMS WITH THIS "DRY" CLUTCH. FORD WILL NOT RECOGNIZE DANGER ASSOCIATED WITH IT.
