"TAKATA RECALL" - I CALLED THE SOUTH BAY FORD DEALER IN HAWTHORNE, CA. TODAY ON 1/16/17 AND WAS TOLD MY CAR IS ON THE RECALL LIST BUT THEY CAN'T HELP ME BECAUSE FORD HASN'T TOLD THE LOCAL DEALER WHEN THE PARTS WILL BE READY FOR INSTALL AND REPAIR. THIS IS AN UNACCEPTABLE ANSWER FOR THE CONSUMER. THESE BAGS CAN "KILL YOU" IF THEY EXPLODE. THE SERVICE DEPT. WAS VERY RUDE AND MADE ME FEEL UNIMPORTANT AND NOT WORTH THEIR TIME IN DISCUSSING THE MATTER AND TOLD ME TO CALL FORD! IT SEEMS NOBODY CARES ANYMORE. MY COMPLAINT IS WHEN WILL FORD "FIX" THIS PROBLEM?

TAKADA RECALL - THIS RECALL IS FOR MY DAUGHTER'S PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG. WE HAVE BEEN WAITING SINCE MARCH OF 2017 THE DATE WE RECEIVED THE RECALL NOTICE FROM FORD, TO GET THE AIRBAG REPLACED. EVERYTIME SHE DRIVES THAT CAR OR HAS A PASSENGER IN HER CAR IT IS A SAFETY HAZZARD KNOWING OTHER DRIVERS AND PASSENGER'S HAVE DIED WHILE WAITING FOR THE PART OR PARTS TO BE REPLACED. I AM APPALLED AT THE LACK OF URGENCY ON THE CAR MANUFACTURER'S AND TAKEDA TO FIX ALL THE VEHICHLES INVOLVED IN THE RECALL CONSIDERING THE PRICE TO PAY IS WITH SOMEONE'S LIFE. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE. UNFORTUNATELY FOR MY DAUGHTER AND MANY OTHER'S AFFECTED, THE PARTS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE ANY TIME SOON WHICH IS UNACCEPTABLE.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING BETWEEN 20-38 MPH, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO SHIFT GEARS, JERKED SEVERELY, AND THE CHECK ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO ANDERSON FORD LINCOLN (3601 STOCKTON HILL RD, KINGMAN, AZ 86409, (928) 757-3131) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE 4TH AND 5TH GEARS WERE INCORRECT. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS AT THE DEALER FOR THE GEAR REPAIRS, IT WAS ALSO DIAGNOSED THAT THE VALVE BODY AND SOLENOIDS NEEDED REPLACEMENT, AND THE PCM AND TCM NEEDED REPROGRAMMING. ALL THE REPAIRS WERE COMPLETED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT TRANSMISSION FACILITY WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED WITH THE SAME FAILURE AND PARTS AS THE DEALER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS ONCE AGAIN REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO ANOTHER INDEPENDENT TRANSMISSION FACILITY WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENTIRE TRANSMISSION NEEDED REPLACEMENT AND THE FAILURE WAS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH FORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION WAS NOT REPLACED BECAUSE HE ALREADY SPENT MONEY TO HAVE THE TRANSMISSION REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 100,000. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN.

WHEN DRIVING MY CAR, TYPICALLY AT LOWER SPEEDS, I HAVE EXPERIENCED EXTREME LOSS OF PRESSURE IN MY BRAKE SYSTEM. I HAVE A FULL TANK OF BRAKE FLUID BUT I STILL HAVE TO PRESS MY BRAKE PEDAL ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR AT TIMES TO SLOW DOWN MY CAR AND HOPE IT COMES TO A STOP. I HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS OCCURRENCE 10-15 TIMES TO DATE STARTING ABOUT 3 MONTHS AGO. MY CAR HAS 138,883 MILES ON IT AT THE TIME OF WRITING THIS. I AM SOMETIMES WORRIED THAT I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO STOP. THIS HAS OCCURRED ON CITY STREETS, PARKING LOTS AND HIGHWAYS. AND AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, MOSTLY LOWER SPEEDS, BUT IT HAS OCCURRED AS HIGH AS 60 MPH.
TAKATA INFLATORS RECALL INFORMATION NOT RECEIVED BY OWNER.
THE REAR TAIL LIGHT SOCKET AND BULB ARE CHARRED BLACK AS IF THEY CAUGHT FIRE. I FOUND THE ISSUE BECAUSE THE SIGNAL LIGHT FAILED. IT SMELLED BURNT. UNSURE IF THERE WAS ACTUAL FLAME OR NOT.
TAKATA RECALL. I RECIEVED A RECALL NOTICE FROM FORD IN JANUARY OF THIS YEAR. I HAVE NOT HAD MY AIRBAGS REPLACED YET AND THEY HAVE ALREADY EXPLODED ON ME. I HAD GOTTEN INTO AN ACCIDENT AND THE AIR BAG EXPLODED ON ME I WASNT GOING FAST AT ALL WHEN THE ACCIDENT HAPPENED. BY HAVING THE AIR BAG EXPLOXED ON ME HAS CAUSED ME TO HAVE BRUISED CHEST BONE AND A CONCUSSION AND IT TOOK AWHILE FOR ME TO RECOVER FROM THE ACCIDENT.

WRENCH LIGHT APPEARED ON DASH AND WHILE DRIVING THE CAR ON THE CITY STREETS THE CAR HAS A SLUGGISH START AND THEN A BIT OF A BURST AND THEN LIGHT POWER AS I ACCELERATE. ALSO I HAVE HAD TO CHANGE DOOR HANDLES AND LOCKS 3 TIMES SINCE I HAVE PURCHASE. THE HANDLES JUST SNAP OFF. THE CAR WILL UNLOCK BUT I HAVE TO MANUALLY LOCK MOST LOCKS AND OPEN THE CAR BY PUTTING DOWN THE WINDOW.
I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM WORK, WHEN BOTH OF MY FRONT TURN SIGNALS WENT OUT. MY DASH INDICATED TO CHECK LF TURN LAMP AND CHECK RF TURN LAMP. I STOPPED AT THE STORE TO PURCHASE NEW BULBS, THINKING THE BULBS WERE BAD. I GOT HOME, AND NOTICED THAT THE LEFT FRONT PARKING LAMP WAS ON. I SHUT THE CAR OFF, AND THE LIGHT REMAINED ON. I HAD TO DISCONNECT THE LIGHT, OTHERWISE IT WOULD HAVE DRAINED MY BATTERY. I HAD NO FRONT WORKING TURN SIGNALS AND NO WORKING HAZARDS IN THE FRONT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE ON THE REBUILT ENGINE WAS APPROXIMATELY 90,000 AND THE VEHICLE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 152,000.

DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT 80 MPH THE CAR LOOSES ACCELERATION POWER AND AN ORANGE WRENCH SYMBOL SHOWS UP ON THE DASHBOARD. I HAVE TO SAFELY COAST MY VEHICLE TO A SAFE SPOT OFF THE ROAD. WHEN CAR COMES TO COMPLETE STOP IT IDLES REALLY ROUGH AND LOUD AND MAKES A LOUD NOISE WHEN PLACED INTO PARK. I HAVE TO SHUT CAR OFF THEN RESTART AND I'M ABLE TO CONTINUE DRIVING AS IF NOTHING EVER HAPPENED. THE PROBLEM KEEPS HAPPENING AND IS STARTING TO OCCUR MORE OFTEN BUT ALWAYS WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY...PRAY TO GOD NOTHING SERIOUS EVER HAPPENS.
REAR DRIVER'S SIDE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE HAS FAILED. CANNOT OPEN DOOR FROM THE INSIDE, REAR DOOR AJAR LIGHT COMES ON AND DOME LIGHT WILL COME ON AND STAY ON. THE LATTER TWO ISSUES ARE SPORADIC. VEHICLE IS STOPPED WHEN TRYING TO OPEN THE DOOR. VEHICLE IS RUNNING WHEN LIGHT MAY COME ON. DOME LIGHT SAYS ON WHEN PARKED.

BRAKE PEDAL, SOMETIMES, WOULD GIVE, AT TIMES GOING TO FLOOR STOP,WHILE SLOWING AND OR TURNING ON ROUGH INTERSECTION AREAS AND EXITS. MY WIFE TOLD ME ABOUT THIS FOR ~6 MONTHS. WHEN I WOULD TEST DRIVE THE FUSION, THE BRAKES WORKED FINE. THE FUSION WAS REPAIRED AT BOLTON FORD, LAKE CHARLES, LA. ON AUG. 16, 2016 (97,750 MLS.) WHICH ENTAILED CHANGING THE MASTERCYLINDER AND FLUID FLUSH. TROUBLE SHOOTING THE ISSUE, I REPLACED ALL THE BRAKE PADS AND CHECKED FOR LEAKS, FLUID LEVEL, ALL LOOKED NORMAL. NEXT MY LOCAL AUTO REPAIR SHOP, CHECKED BRAKES, FOR MY WIFE SAID PROBLEM STILL THERE. THEN TO FORD DEALERSHIP.
2006 FORD FUSION. ABS ENGAGED WHEN HAVING TO BRAKE SUDDENLY ON ICE. THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR AND WAS SOFT AFTER THAT, GOING ALMOST TO THE FLOOR BEFORE BRAKES WOULD ENGAGE. TOOK THE CAR TO THE NEAREST FORD GARAGE AND WAS TOLD THE HCU WAS PROBABLY OUT AND WOULD COST $2000 TO FIX IT. I TOLD THEM I NEEDED TO THINK ABOUT IT. THEY CALLED BACK LATER AND SAID THEY BLED THE BRAKES AND THAT FIXED THE PROBLEM SO NO REPAIR WAS DONE. THE BRAKES DID THE SAME THING A FEW MONTHS LATER WHEN BRAKING HARD TO AVOID HITTING A CAR WHICH HAD PULLED OUT IN FRONT OF ME. FOR AT LEAST TWO YEARS NOW I BEEN GETTING RECALL LETTERS AND NO PARTS ARE AVAILABLE AND IF THIS IS A RECALL FOR SAFETY FOR MY AIRBAG AND THEY HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM THEN THEY NEED TO BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ISSUE. I HAD PURCHASED THIS CAR NEW AND WAS THE ONLY OWNER WITH LOW MILES FOR YEARS ON THE CAR. I ALSO HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE POWER STEERING BOX SOME SWITCH THAT CONTROLLED THE PUMP KEPT LEAKING AND LEAKING AND I REPLACED IT AT LEAST ONCE A YEAR AND IT WAS A MANUFACTURING PART OF FORD AS I ONLY SERVICED MY CAR THERE.
