WHILE SHIFTING FROM HIGHER GEAR TO LOWER GEAR WHILE CLIMBING A HILL, TRANSMISSION JUMPED BETWEEN GEARS, SLAMMING THE GEARS AS IF POPPING A CLUTCH (IT'S AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION). ON ANOTHER HILL, THE VEHICLE DID NOT ENGAGE IN THE LOWER GEAR, REVVING UP TO ABOUT 4000 RPM AS IF IN NEUTRAL, LEAVING THE CAR DECELERATING ON THE UPHILL STRETCH AMONG SPEEDING TRAFFIC. I HAD TO MOVE THE GEAR SHIFT TO NEUTRAL AND BACK TO DRIVE, EASE ON THE ACCELERATOR, AND THE LOWER GEAR ENGAGED, AFTER SLOWING TO ABOUT 35 ON 65 MPH SPEED LIMIT FREEWAY. FORD LISTS THE REPAIR IN TSB 08-24-1 AS "TRANSMISSION HARSH SHIFTING" AND RECOMMENDS REPLACEMENT OF THE MAIN CONTROL. THIS PART HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED AS FAULTY AND COMMON WITH THE TRANSMISSIONS INSTALLED ON MY VEHICLE AND MANY OTHER MAKES AND MODELS. IT PRESENTS A CLEAR DANGER TO DRIVERS AND PASSENGERS WHO RISK BEING REAR-ENDED DUE TO SUDDEN DECELERATION OR STRANDED DUE TO "HARSH SHIFTING" DAMAGE TO THE TRANSMISSION AND DRIVE TRAIN. I HAVE NO CONFIDENCE DRIVING THE CAR OUT OF TOWN OR NEAR ANY HILL, AND THE VEHICLES SHOULD BE RECALLED. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE FRACTURED ON THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDES OF THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE RECURRED TWICE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, WHERE THE DOOR HANDLE WAS REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 200,000.
CAR WOULD CUT OFF AT ANY TIME, AND CUT OFF SEVERAL TIMES WHILE IN MOTION.. HAD TO BE TOWED TWICE AND FINALLY ON 10/1/14 TOOK IT TO A FORD DEALERSHIP AND THEY REPAIRED IT AT A COST TO ME OF $1,462.98. SINCE THE FOCUS HAS A RECALL I WONDER IF THIS SHOULD ALSO HAVE A RECALL.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE SUNCOAST PKWY AT 60 MPH MY VEHICLE SUDDENLY SLOWED TO ONLY 20 MPH CAUSING ME TO BE A ROAD HAZARD. I WAS NEARLY KILLED BY THE OTHER CARS IN THE FLOW . IT WAS A FRIGHTENING EXPERIENCE. *TR
VEHICLE IS HESITANT TO START AND GET UP PAST 5 MPH AND ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. TOOK CAR TO LOCAL PEP BOYS WHERE THEY PLACED IT ON ENGINE MACHINE. PER PEP BOY CAR THROUGH THROTTLE BODY STUCK OPEN CODE. LOCAL DEALER CLOSED DROPPED CAR OFF FOR LOOK OVER. DEALER CONFIRMED MONDAY THAT THROTTLE BODY IS STUCK BUT STATE THAT THIS VEHICLE IS NOT A PART OF CURRENT THROTTLE BODY RECALL...IM WRITING THIS HERE SO IF FORD SHOULD DECIDE TO COVER THIS AT A FUTURE TIME I'LL BE ABLE TO FILE FOR A REFUND. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A PRIVATE MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE INTERIOR DRIVER SIDE DOOR HANDLE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
RIGHT DIRECTIONAL SIGNAL DIDN'T WORK. *TR
AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY DURING CAR ACCIDENT. AIRBAGS RECALLED BY TAKATA ARE FAR MORE DANGEROUS, BASICALLY DEAD AIRBAGS. THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION, ANOTHER RECALL WITH THE CARPETS BEING RECALLED AS WELL, RESULTING IN EXCESSIVE SPEED FROM THE CARPET PRESSING ON THE GAS PEDDLE, CAUSING THE ACCIDENT.

THE DASHBOARD IS BULGING/BUCKLING AGAINST THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. THE BUBBLE APPEARS TO BE CAUSED BY THE DASH MATERIAL SURROUNDING THE AIRBAG BECOMING DETACHED OR UNGLUED. THE POSITION OF THIS BULGING AND SEPARATION CAUSE CONCERN THAT THE AIRBAG MAY MALFUNCTION UPON DEPLOYMENT. *TR
I HAD A PASSENGER IN THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE SEAT THAT COULD NOT OPEN THE DOOR TO GET OUT. I HAD TO GO TO THE OUTSIDE DOOR HANDLE TO OPEN THE DOOR. ON INSPECTION IT APPEARS THE INTERIOR REAR DOOR HANDLE HAS STARTED TO CRACK AT THE PIVOT POINT(SPRING RETURN ATTACHMENT POINT). THE BREAK CAUSES INTERFERENCE WITH THE REAR DOOR HANDLE BEZEL AND LIMITS TRAVEL OF DOOR HANDLE (DOOR WON'T OPEN). IT APPEARS THE SAME THING IS STARTING TO HAPPEN ON THE OTHER REAR DOOR. CAR ONLY HAS 85000 MILES. IT APPEARS TO BE A DESIGN/MANUFACTURING DEFECT. I WILL BE GOING TO FORD TO GET A REPLACEMENT WHICH I HOPE HAS HAD A DESIGN CHANGE TO FIX THIS. THE REAR DOORS HAD BEEN USED VERY LITTLE SO ITS NOT A USAGE ISSUE. THIS IS A REAL SAFETY CONCERN FOR REAR PASSENGERS. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE SEATBELT LIGHT ILLUMINATED AFTER SECURING THE SEATBELT. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT STATED THAT SEVERAL ATTEMPTS WERE MADE TO UNLATCH THE SEATBELT BUT FAILED. THE CONTACT HAD TO CUT THE DRIVERS SEATBELT TO RELEASE FROM THE SEAT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
THE FACTORY IGNITION COILS BEGAN TO SHORT AGAINST THE INTERIOR WALLS OF THE ENGINE HEAD ABOVE THE SPARK PLUGS. AS THEY SHORTED IT BURN THE POWER CONTROL MODULE (PCM). WITH NO PCM MY SPARK PLUGS FAILED TO LIGHT, CAUSING MY ENGINE BECOME FLOODED WITH GASOLINE, WHICH WASHED AWAY THE LUBRICANTS ON MY CYLINDER AND HEADS CAUSING ALL OF MY CYLINDERS AND HEADS TO BECOME DAMAGED. AS THIS HAPPENED BEFORE I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER MY ENGINE SHUT OFF. CAUSING ME TO LOSE POWER STEERING AND ALL OF THE OTHER ELECTRICAL FUNCTIONING COMPONENTS. LUCKILY I WAS ON A FAIRLY QUIET ROAD AND AT SOMEWHAT LOW SPEEDS, BUT FOR THE MANY OTHERS THAT HAVE OR COULD EXPERIENCE THE SAME PROBLEM MIGHT NOT HAVE BEEN OR BE AS LUCKY. 2006 FORD FUSION 3.0L V6. *TR
THE MOTOR MOUNT AND BRACKETS BROKE AS I DROVE ON A LOCAL STREET AT SPEED OF 25 MPH. IT WAS THE WRONG DESIGN FOR THIS VEHICLE BUT THEY INSTALLED IT ANYWAY. LATER THEY DESIGNED THE CORRECT PART WHICH WAS THE ONE THE SERVICE TECH PUT IN THE CAR THAT SAME DAY,THE BILL WAS $400. *TR
CAR STARTED KNOCKING GO SLOW THAN WOULD SPEED UP, BRAKES WOULD WORK THAN NOT! GOT HOME CHECKED THE OIL IT WAS LOW, WHICH WAS FINE A WEEK BEFORE THAT. PUT OIL IN IT, MY SON SAW IT LEAKING AROUND OIL PAN. SO HAD IT TOWED TO A CAR REPAIR CHECKED IT OUT, THEY ARE TELLING ME IT'S THE TIMING CHAIN, NOW THEY SAY THE CODES COMING OFF THE MACHINE THEY ARE HOOKING IT UP WITH SAY IT NEEDS A NEW ENGINE. I DON'T EVEN HAVE A 100 THOUSAND MILES ON IT AND TAKE GOOD CARE OF MY CAR! *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT NOTICED A PROTRUSION ON THE PASSENGER SIDE DASHBOARD WHERE THE AIR BAG WAS LOCATED. IT APPEARED AS IF THE AIR BAG WOULD DEPLOY AT ANY MOMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO TWO MECHANICS WHO BOTH STATED THAT THE PROTRUSION WAS NOT CAUSED BY THE AIR BAG. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A BODY SHOP AND THE MECHANIC STRETCHED THE MATERIAL TO REPAIR THE DASHBOARD AND CLOSED THE OPENING THAT WAS CREATED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE DASHBOARD WAS SEPARATING WHICH COULD POSSIBLY EXPOSE THE AIR BAG. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENTIRE DASHBOARD NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 53,000.
WHEN DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND ROADWAY, SUCH AS BRIDGES THIS SUMMER, MY VEHICLE STALLED SEVERAL TIMES, LOST POWER COMING ALMOST TO A COMPLETE STOP, PUTTING MY FAMILY AND I AT RISK. WHEN I PRESSED ON THE GAS TO ACCELERATE, THE ENGINE BEGIN TO RACE, CAUSING THE "CHECK ENGINE LIGHT" TO COME ON. IT ALSO JERKED AND SKIDDED AS I TRIED TO MANEUVER THE STEERING. TO AVOID ACCIDENTS ON THESE OCCASIONS, THE VEHICLE HAD TO BE PULLED OVER AND SUBSEQUENTLY, PARKED. HIGHWAY DRIVING WAS ALSO AVOIDED MOST OF THE SUMMER FOR SAFETY AND CONCERN. THERE IS ALSO AN ISSUE WITH THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG, AS RECENT AS THIS SUMMER, THE SEAL BECAME DISTORTED, TWISTED AND CRACKED IN THE DASHBOARD. LASTLY, ABOUT 2 WEEKS AGO, THE REAR DOOR LOCK ON THE DRIVER SIDE NO LONGER WORKS, THE DOOR MUST BE OPENED MANUALLY FROM THE INSIDE OF THE CAR. THESE ARE VALID VEHICLE DEFECTS AND SAFETY ISSUES AND FORD MUST STEP UP AND DO THE RIGHT THING FOR ALL PARTIES OF INTEREST. *TR
MY BRAKE LIGHTS AND REAR BLINKERS ARE NO LONGER WORKING. ONE DAY THEY JUST WENT OUT. OF COURSE I TOOK IT TO MY MECHANIC RIGHT AWAY SINCE IT IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS DRIVING AT NIGHT WITH NO BRAKE LIGHTS AND I HAD RECENTLY ENROLLED INTO NIGHT CLASSES FOR MY FALL SEMESTER. I LEFT MY CAR WITH MY MECHANIC FOR NEARLY A WEEK BECAUSE HE THOUGHT THE SWITCH NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. HE ORDERED A NEW ONE, BUT WHEN IT ARRIVED HE CALLED TO TELL ME THAT IT WASN'T WHAT HE THOUGHT IT WAS. HE LET ME KEEP THE NEW SWITCH FREE OF CHARGE SINCE HE WASN'T ABLE TO HELP ME AT ALL. I HAD TO WALK TO THE SHOP TO PICK UP MY CAR BECAUSE MY MECHANIC WAS JUST AS BAFFLED AS I WAS. SINCE SOMEONE WHO WENT TO SCHOOL FOR THIS KIND OF STUFF COULDN'T HELP ME, I FIGURED I WOULD GOOGLE THE ISSUE TO SEE IF THERE WERE ANY ANSWERS OUT THERE. I FOUND WEBSITES FULL OF PEOPLE HAVING SIMILAR ISSUES. WAS DRIVING DOWN A BUSY HIGHWAY WHEN THE CAR JUST CHUGGED AND DIED. THE TOOL LIGHT CAME ON AFTER IT FAILED TO GO BY GIVING IT GAS.THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED TO MY CAR. I TOOK IT TO MY FORD DEALERSHIP AND IT TURNED OUT TO BE THE THROTTLE BODY. I AM VERY UPSET AND BEING A WOMEN I HAD NO IDEA HOW TO HANDLE THIS SITUATION WHEN IT HAPPENED. IT HAS COST ALOT OF MONEY TO REPLACE AND IT IS VERY DANGEROUS. IS THERE A RECALL ON THIS PART ? IF SO I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW ABOUT IT. *TR
TRYING TO ACCELERATE ONTO HIGHWAY, VEHICLE WOULD REV UP TO LIMIT 6K AND SLAM INTO GEAR CAUSING TIRES TO SPIN AND ALMOST LOSE CONTROL. HAVE TO PARK AND TURN OFF VEHICLE TO RESUME DRIVING. OTHERS TIME CAR WOULD JUST LOSE MOMENTUM AND RPMS GO VERY HIGH BUT NO MOVEMENT. AGAIN, PARK CAR TURN OFF AND RESUME DRIVING. WAS TOLD BY MANY MECHANICS THAT THIS IS A TRANNY PROBLEM IN THIS MODEL FORD. COST OF $2,000 TO REPAIR. SEEMS TO BE VERY COMMON AND AM JUST LOGGING MY RECORDS INCASE FORD FINALLY ACKNOWLEDGES IT. *TR
WHEN I WAS DRIVING 55 MPH, THE CAR DID A LITTLE JERK LIKE IT HAD MISSED. NO LIGHTS CAME ON AND I DROVE TO THE NEAREST SIDE ROAD OFF THE HIGHWAY AND STOPPED. I TRIED TO GO FURTHER BUT ONLY MADE IT ABOUT 100 YARDS BECAUSE I LOST ALL POWER INCLUDING STEERING. MY CAR WAS HALF IN THE ROAD SO I WAS THANKFUL THIS WAS NOT A HIGH TRAFFIC ROAD. THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THERE WAS A SMELL. IT WASN'T THE SMELL OF OIL BUT WAS A FLUID SMELL. THE CAR WOULD NOT TURN OVER AND HAD TO BE TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP. IT CAME UP AS A MISFIRE 3 AND THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY HAD TO REPLACE THE COIL. THIS DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM AND THEY SAID THE 3 COIL WHEN IT BLEW IT TOOK OUT THE OTHER COILS AS WELL AS THE 6 SPARK PLUGS AND THE PCM. THIS WAS A $2250 REPAIR. I ONLY HAVE 68,000 ON THE CAR. AFTER READING OTHER TSB, SOME STATED THAT IF UNDER 80,000 MILES/8 YEARS THAT IT WAS COVERED UNDER THE MANUFACTURE WARRANTY. I CALLED FORD AND WAS TOLD I MISSED THE 8 YEAR MARK BY EXACTLY 30 DAYS. THERE WAS NOTHING THAT I COULD DO BUT HOLD ON TO MY RECEIPTS IN CASE THERE WOULD EVER BE A RECALL. THIS IS THE ONLY MAJOR ISSUE I HAVE HAD. I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY OTHER ENGINE ISSUES WITH THE CAR. I'VE ONLY HAD 2 MINOR ISSUES BEFORE THIS AND THEY WERE THE LUMBAR GOING OUT IN THE DRIVER'S SEAT ($300 REPAIR THAT I DID NOT REPLACE) AND 2 DOOR HANDLES BREAKING FROM THE INSIDE THAT WERE $160 TO REPLACE EACH. I DID REPLACE BC OF THE SAFETY ISSUE OF NOT BEING ABLE TO GET OUT OF THE CAR. AFTER READING THE TSB, I SEE THAT THE PCM AND COILS ARE A RECURRING ISSUE AND I AM THANKFUL I WAS ON A SIDE ROAD WHEN IT OCCURRED... I AM VERY WORRIED THAT IT MAY OCCUR AGAIN AND HOPE THIS ISSUES WILL BE OR HAS BEEN LOOKED INTO FOR THE SAFETY OF OTHERS. *TR

THE FAILURE OCCURRED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE VARIABLE VALVE SOLENOIDS, THE IGNITION COILS, THE PCM REFLASH AND THE SPARK PLUGS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 98,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE TRAVELING 60 MPH, SMOKE ENTERED THE VEHICLE FROM THE FRONT PANEL VENTS UNDERNEATH THE HOOD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO STALL INTERMITTENTLY. THE FAILURE OCCURRED ON THREE SEPARATE OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE POWER CONTROL MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE DRIVER'S DOOR COULD NOT BE OPENED FROM INSIDE....HAD TO LOWER WINDOW AND REACH OUTSIDE TO OPEN THE DOOR. I HAVE TO DO THIS ALL THE TIME SINCE THIS PROBLEM STARTED. THIS IS A SAFETY PROBLEM IN THE EVENT I LOSE POWER AND AM UNABLE TO OPEN THE WINDOW IN ORDER TO OPEN DOOR IN AN EMERGENCY. EXITING IS DELAYED. *TR
DRIVING AT 55 MPH, THE CAR LOST POWER, I PULLED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD THE WRENCH LIGHT CAME ON, THE ENGINE MADE SOME RATTLING SOUNDS. THEN I SHUT THE ENGINE OFF AND HAD IT TOWED TO MY MECHANICS SHOP. *TR
I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER OF A 2006 FORD FUSION WITH ONLY 65000 MILES. I RECENTLY HAD A VERY SCARY NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCE DUE TO A DEFECT IN THIS VEHICLE. AFTER MUCH RESEARCH ONLINE AND SPEAKING TO CERTIFIED MECHANICS I AM SURE FORD IS WELL AWARE OF THE PROBLEM THAT EXISTS WITH THE IGNITION COILS EXPLODING DUE TO A COMPUTER MALFUNCTION. THIS CAUSES THE CAR TO STOP. MY CAR HAPPENED TO STOP WHILE I WAS ON THE FREEWAY. I WON'T GO INTO A LOT OF DETAIL BUT IT WAS SCARY AND COULD HAVE POTENTIALLY COST ME MY LIFE. FORTUNATELY I WAS ABLE TO SAFELY COAST TO THE SHOULDER AND WAIT FOR AAA TO COME TO MY RESCUE. I TOOK MY CAR TO A MECHANIC WHO GOT THE CAR RUNNING AGAIN AFTER REPLACING TWO IGNITION COILS AND MY SPARK PLUGS, BUT IT BROKE DOWN AGAIN ON THE WAY HOME FROM THE MECHANIC. AGAIN, THE CAR JUST SHUTS OFF WITHOUT WARNING, BUT THIS TIME I WAS LEFT IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC WAITING FOR AAA. MY CAR IS NOW AT THE FORD DEALERSHIP AND THE BILL IS REALLY HIGH. BOTH, MY MECHANIC AND THE FORD SERVICE TECHNICIAN CONFIRMED THAT THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH THE COMPUTER THAT IS CAUSING IGNITION COILS TO "BURN UP" OR "EXPLODE". I UNDERSTAND THAT THERE IS AN 8 YEAR OR 80,000 MILE WARRANTY WITH COVERS THIS ISSUE, BUT UNFORTUNATELY I AM OVER THE 8 YEARS (BUT STILL 15,000 UNDER THE MILEAGE). THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL. SOMEONE COULD POTENTIALLY LOSE THEIR LIFE BECAUSE FORD CHOOSES TO OVERLOOK THIS TICKING TIME BOMB. THE DASHBOARD IS SEPARATING FROM THE PASSENGER AIR BAG AREA AND SEEMS TO BE STRETCHED BY SOMETHING, UNSURE AS TO CAUSE AS NOTHING IS APPARENT. ALSO THE FRONT LEFT DEFROSTER AIR VENT NEAR THE WINDSHIELD STARTED TO DETACH FROM THE DASHBOARD AS IF IT WAS UNDER SPRING PRESSURE TO DO SO. THE LOCAL DEALER SAYS THERE IS NO FIX FOR THIS TO HIS KNOWLEDGE , EXCEPT TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE DASHBOARD. THE DASHBOARD DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE MADE OF MATERIAL THAT STANDS UP TO UV LIGHTING AS TO WEAR AND NOW APPEARS TO BE EITHER POOR QUALITY MATERIALS OR WAS FACTORY INSTALLED IMPROPERLY. *TR

COMING OFF AN EXIT RAMP AT APPROX. 35 MPH I FELT A JERKING/STALLING FEELING AS I MERGED INTO FREEWAY TRAFFIC WHERE THE SPEED LIMIT IS 65 MPH. I VIEWED MY INSTRUMENT PANEL AND FOUND THE WRENCH SYMBOL ILLUMINATED. ACCELERATION WAS SLUGGISH BRIEFLY, BUT AFTER AWHILE ACCELERATION SEEMED TO RETURN TO NORM. ALL THE WHILE THE WRENCH LIGHT REMAINED ILLUMINATED FOR AN APPROX. 25 MILES. ONCE IN A SAFE LOCATION I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND WAITED APPROXIMATELY TWO MINUTES BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO RESTART IT. UPON RESTARTING THE WRENCH LIGHT WAS NO LONGER ILLUMINATED. I DROVE THE CAR ANOTHER APPROX. 10 MILES TO MAKE IT HOME AND THE WRENCH LIGHT IS NO LONGER ILLUMINATED WHEN CAR IS RESTARTED. THIS ALL TOOK PLACE IN THE MIDST OF A SNOW/SLEET STORM. A DRIVE THAT TYPICALLY TAKES APPROX. 45 MINUTES TOOK APPROX. 4 HOURS. I CALLED THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT OF MY LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP AND UNDERSTANDABLY I FOUND THAT THEY HAD CLOSED AND REOPENING THE NEXT DAY WAS/IS IN QUESTION DUE TO THE WEATHER. *TR

THE THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND THE PCM RESET IN ORDER TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE DEFECT. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 124,000.
I HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH IT SINCE I BOUGHT IT, IT HAS PROBLEMS STARTING ESPECIALLY WHEN ITS COLD OUTSIDE.
