HAD TO REPLACE AN IGNITION COIL FOR A MISFIRE OBD CODE. AFTER REPLACING COIL PROBLEM STILL EXISTED, SO I RESEARCHED ONLINE AND FOUND A GREAT NUMBER OF OTHER FUSION OWNERS WHO HAVE HAD THIS SAME PROBLEM. NOW I AM SUPPOSED TO REPLACE ALL THE IGNITION COILS AND THE PCM. WITH THE NUMBER OF AFFECTED VEHICLES BEING STAGGERING I FEEL THAT THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE. *TR
WHEN DRIVING AND THE CAR HAS AN ABS BRAKING EVENT DUE TO A SUDDEN STOP OR SLICK ROAD CONDITIONS THE PEDAL WOULD DROP TO THE FLOOR AS IF THERE WAS NO BRAKE FLUID PRESSURE. AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS RESTED PRESSURE WOULD RETURN. AFTER APPROXIMATELY 3 OCCURRENCES OF THE ISSUE, RESTING THE VEHICLE NO LONGER FIXED THE ISSUE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR SERVICE WHO DIAGNOSED THE HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT HAD FAILED AND IT WAS REPLACED. THE PROBLEM WAS FIXED AND HAS NOT RETURNED AFTER SUBSEQUENT ABS BRAKING EVENTS.
THE AIR BAG ON PASSENGER SIDE IS POPPING OUT FROM DASH. I AM WORRIED THE AIR BAG MY NOT WORK PROPERLY IN AN ACCIDENT OR MY DEPLOY WHILE DRIVING. *TR
I WAS DRIVING AT ABOUT 60 MPH AND SUDDENLY I FELT THE VEHICLE HAVE SOME TYPE OF LOSS OF POWER. I TRIED TO PRESS ON THE GAS PEDAL AND THE CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE AND THE RPM ODOMETER WAS "JUMPING" FROM 1 TO 1.5 AND THE IDLE WAS HORRIBLY ROUGH.THE MOTOR SOUNDED LIKE IT WAS A FORCED IDLE. I PULLED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND OPENED THE HOOD TO SEE WHAT WAS GOING ON, I CHECKED EVERYTHING TO SEE IF MAYBE THERE WAS ANYTHING LOOSE OR SOMETHING IN THERE AND THERE WAS NOTHING THAT I COULD SEE SPOT ON OR NOTICE SPOT ON. I DID SOME RESEARCH ON THE 'SYMPTOMS" AND CLEANING OR FORCING SHUT THE THROTTLE ACTUATOR WAS THE NUMBER ONE THING THAT KEPT SHOWING. SO I PULLED EVERYTHING APART AND CLEANED IT AND SPRAYED SOME WD-40. ONCE I OUT EVERYTHING BACK TOGETHER I THEN STARTED THE VEHICLE AND THE WRENCH LIGHT TURNED OFF AND IT WAS RUNNING LIKE NORMAL. *TR

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.
WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A STOP LIGHT, MY CAR SLIGHTLY LOST POWER AND THE TRANSMISSION LIGHT CAME ON. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE IGNITION SWITCH WAS TURNED TO THE ON POSITION, BUT THE VEHICLE DID NOT START. THE VEHICLE WAS EXAMINED BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE BATTERY FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT FAILED TO ACCELERATE. THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC LATER DIAGNOSED THE VEHICLE AND STATED THAT THE PULLEY BOLT FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 60,000.
DOOR LATCH FAILURE ON DRIVER'S DOOR. DOOR WOULD NOT STAYED CLOSED. *TR
THE TRANSMISSION WENT OUT APPROXIMATELY NOVEMBER 1ST, 2014 AFTER DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND HAVING THE GEAR SLIP AND NOT ACCELERATE PAST 25 MPH WITH HIGH RPMS. WHEN ATTEMPTING TO SHIFT INTO REVERSE FROM A STOPPED POSITION, THE CAR JOLTS VERY ABRUPTLY AS WELL. THE TRANSMISSION WAS REBUILT PER AAMCO RECOMMENDATION. ON APRIL 29TH, 2015, THE TRANSMISSION WENT OUT AGAIN WITH THE SAME ISSUE AS BEFORE. AAMCO STATED THAT THE SOLENOIDS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE TOTAL COST FOR REPAIRS HAS BEEN $2,500 TO DATE. *TR
TAKATA RECALL - PASSENGER AIRBAG IS CAUSING A RUPTURE IN DASHBOARD AND AIRBAG INDICATOR LIGHT IS ALWAYS ON
WAS DRIVING ALL OF A SUDDEN CAR MADE A BANG WOULD NOT MOVE FORWARD HAD IT TOWED TO LOCAL GARAGE WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE POWER TRAIN UNIT WENT HAD IT TOWED TO TRANSMISSION PLACE WHILE TAKING IT APART THEY DIAGNOSED THAT THE GASKET WAS THE COOPERATE OF IT COST ME $2200 DUE TO FORDS FAULTY GASKETS HAVE NOTICED THAT THERE TONS OF COMPLAINTS AGAINST FORD FORD THIS;. ALSO MY SISTER HAS A 2010 SAME THING HAPPEN TO HER WITH ONLY 57000 MILES ON VEHICLE FORD SHOULD RECALL THIS THERE NO REASON FOR THIS HAPPEN TONS OF PEOPLE TAKE SUBURU OFF ROAD AND THEY DON'T HAVE THEIR DRIVE TRAINS GO WILL NEVER BY FORD AGAIN. *TR
COMPLETE BRAKE SYSTEM FAILURE! I WAS THE THIRD VEHICLE IN LINE WAITING FOR A RED LIGHT TO CHANGE. THE LIGHT CHANGED AND WE ALL STARTED MOVING FORWARD. WE MOVE STRAIGHT THROUGH THE INTERSECTION. ABOUT 200 FEET PAST THE INTERSECTION TWO STRAY DOGS RUN ACROSS THE ROADWAY. THE ROADWAY IS A DIVIDED FOUR LANE WITH PASSING LANES AND IS A 40 MPH ZONE. THE TWO VEHICLES IN FRONT WERE ABLE TO STOP. AS I APPLIED PRESSURE ON THE BRAKES, I HAD THIS SENSE THAT SOMETHING IN THE BRAKING SYSTEM LET GO. THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOORBOARD. I REMEMBER PUSHING FOR ALL I WAS WORTH ATTEMPTING TO STOP THE VEHICLE, BUT HAVING THE SENSE THAT THE VEHICLE IS JUST NOT STOPPING. THE ACCIDENT WAS WRITTEN UP AS UNAVOIDABLE DUE TO THE TWO DOGS AND NO DRIVER WAS CITED. THAT EVENING AS I HAD TIME TO RELIVE THE ACCIDENT, I RECALLED THE SENSE OF THE BRAKES HAVING FAILED. THE NEXT DAY I WENT INTO THE BODY SHOP AND TOLD THEM WHAT I REMEMBERED AND ASKED THEM TO INSPECT THE BRAKES AS PART OF THE REPAIR ASSESSMENT. THEY FOUND THAT THE BRAKING SYSTEM WAS COMPLETELY GONE EXCEPT FOR THE EMERGENCY BRAKES. THE DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM SHOWED NUMEROUS CODES IN THE BRAKING SYSTEM. THE BODY SHOP HAD SOMEONE FROM FORD MOTOR COMPANY COME AND CHECK ON THE BRAKES AND THEY REPORTED THAT THE ABS SYSTEM HAD GONE OUT. UPON FURTHER INSPECTION IT WAS DETERMINED THAT BRAKE FAILURE CAUSED THE ACCIDENT, AND NOT THE ACCIDENT THAT CAUSED THE BRAKING SYSTEM TO FAIL. IT WAS DETERMINED THAT WHEN THE SYSTEM WENT DOWN THAT THE ABS SYSTEM BLEW OUT PRESSURE LINES AND ALSO CAUSED AND ELECTRICAL FAILURE THAT BURNED ELECTRICAL LINES AND BLEW OUT THE FUSES. IF I HAD BEEN DRIVING 70 MPH, I MIGHT NOT BE HERE TO TELL ABOUT IT. IS THERE A HISTORY OF THIS PROBLEM WITH THIS CAR? EQUIPMENT FAILURE LIKE THIS KILLS PEOPLE. *TR
NO PROBLEMS DRIVING CAR AND FAITHFUL OIL CHANGES WITH FULL SYNTHETIC OIL. WENT TO LEAVE ONE MORNING AND CAR WAS KNOCKING LIKE IT WAS LOW ON OIL. NO ENGINE LIGHT ON AT ALL. TURNED OFF CAR, OIL SHOWED FINE. CAR WOULD NOT RESTART. NOTHING. TOOK TO SHOP AND ENGINE HAS BLOWN. OIL PUMP FAILURE APPARENTLY. *TR

MY CAR HAS A HISTORY OF LOST POWER/STALL DURING NORMAL DRIVING, IT IS HAPPENING MORE FREQUENT SO I WANT TO FILE THIS COMPLAIN TO HAVE SOME INVESTIGATION. WHILE ACCELERATING TO MERGE TO THE HIGHWAY TRAFFIC/SPEED, THE ENGINE LOST POWER AND NOT RESPONSE TO PRESSING ON THE GAS PEDAL. MY WIFE HAD TO STEER THE CAR BACK TO THE SHOULDER TO AVOID ACCIDENT. THIS CAR IS SERVICE BY FORD DEALER UNDER PURCHASED MAINTENANCE PLAN SINCE WE BOUGHT IT NEW. THERE WAS NO MENTION TO SERVICE THE INTAKE/THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY, WHICH IS NOT SERVICEABLE. I UNDERSTAND THIS CAR SHARE SAME PLATFORM WITH FORD ESCAPE WHICH HAD A RECALL ON THE THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY LAST YEAR. I WONDER THIS CAR MODE SHOULD BE RECALLED TO FIX THE PROBLEM. *TR
THE AIR BAG ON THE PASSENGER SIDE IS STARTING TO OPEN . IT'S RAISED ABOUT 1 TO 2 INCHES. WHEN I CAME OF WORK AND GOT IN THE CAR I FOUND IT LIKE THAT. THE CAR WAS NOT INVOLVED IN ANY ACCIDENTS. PLEASE ADVISE. DOES ANYONE ELSE HAVE THIS ISSUE? *TR
THIS CAR HAD A HISTORY OF LOST POWER/STALL WHILE DRIVING ON CITY AND HIGHWAYS WITHOUT ANY SYMPTOMS NOR WARNINGS. MY PARTICULAR CONCERN WAS LAST WEEK IT LOST POWER/STALL WHILE DRIVING ON MULTI-LANE EB I-96 FROM DETROIT TO GRAND RAPIDS, MI, WHICH WE HAD TO PERFORM EMERGENCY EVASIVE ACTIONS TO GET OUT OF THE BUSY HIGHWAY TRAFFIC TO AVOID COLLISION/ACCIDENT THAT MAY RESULT WITH PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH. IT HAD NO SYMPTOMS NOR WARNING. THE CAR SIMPLE LOST POWER REDUCE TO IDLE SPEED AT AROUND 600 RPM. IT FAILED TO RESPONSE TO CRUISE CONTROL, GAS PEDAL CONTROL. MECHANIC DETERMINED THAT THE CAUSE LIKELY THE THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY OR THE MASS AIRFLOW SWITCH. BOTH OF THEM ARE NOT SERVICEABLE PARTS AND NOT RELATE TO MAINTENANCE, WEAR OR TEAR. THIS CAR HAD BEEN SERVICED BY FORD DEALER SINCE WE BOUGHT IT NEW. NO ADVICE OR ANYTHING WAS GIVEN ABOUT THIS PROBLEM. I BELIEVE THIS IS A MANUFACTURER DEFECT WHICH HAS DETRIMENTAL EFFECT ON SAFETY THAT NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED. THANK YOU. *TR
MY WIFE WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND NOTICED SOME BULGING THRU THE PASSENGER AIRBAG ON THE DASH. SHE IMMEDIATELY PULLED OVER AND REMOVED MY 12 YR AND SECURED HIM IN THE BACK SEAT WITH LAP/SHOULDER BELT. I CONTACTED FORD TODAY AND THEY ADVISED ME THAT THE DASH WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED AT MY EXPENSE AT A COST OF $1000/1200 DOLLARS. I THINK THIS SHOULD BE A SAFETY ISSUE AND FORD REPLACE IT. I CAN NOT IMAGINE THAT AIRBAG DOING A FAULTY FIRING WITH NO ACCIDENT INVOLVED AND STRIKING MY CHILD. THANK YOU. *TR

DRIVING ALONG AND WENT TO STOP AT A STOP SIGN AND THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR THEN STARTED STOPPING VERY SLOWLY. TOOK IT THE THE MECHANIC SHOP AND THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG. DROVE IT HOME AND IT DID IT ONE TIME AGAIN. CONTINUED DRIVING IT FOR ABOUT 300 MILES BEFORE IT HAPPENED AGAIN LAST NIGHT. THIS TIME THE BRAKE FAILED AT 4 STOPS IN A ROW. THEN IT ENGAGED AGAIN AND WAS FINE THE REST OF THE 20 MILES HOME. THE DEALER MECHANIC SAID IT MAY HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE ABS BUT IT WILL BE EXPENSIVE TO DIAGNOSE AND REPAIR BECAUSE IT ONLY HAPPENS INTERMITANTLY. I HAVE READ NUMEROUS OTHER COMPLAINTS FROM OTHER FUSION OWNERS FORUMS FOR THE SAME PROBLEM . ONE PERSON SAID IT COST $2000 TO FIX. FORD ISSUED A SERVICE BULLETIN AND SET UP A CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PROGRAM FOR THIS SAME PROBLEM BUT ONLY FOR HYBRIDS. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS PROBLEM. I WENT RIGHT THROUGH THE STOP SIGN AND COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED IF THE OTHER PERSON HADN'T SLAMMED ON THEIR BRAKES. *TR

THE FAILURE RECURRED NUMEROUS TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ELECTRIC THROTTLE BODY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE FRONT DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE DOOR LATCHES FAILED TO OPEN THE DOORS. THE LATCHES COULD BE PULLED, BUT THE DOORS FAILED TO OPEN PROPERLY. THE DOORS COULD ONLY BE OPENED FROM OUTSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR ALSO FAILED TO LOCK AND THE CONTACT NOTICED CORROSION ON THE BATTERY POST. DUE TO THE BATTERY FAILURE, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE LATCHES AND BATTERY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE BATTERY WAS REPLACED MULTIPLE TIMES AND THE LATCHES WERE REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 107,000.
A WRENCH IS DISPLAYED ON THE DASH, AND THE ENGINE LOSES POWER. THE POWER IS NOT RESTORE UNTIL THE CAR IS TURNED OFF. *TR

THE OPEN HANDLE FROM IN CAR ON DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR BROKE INSIDE DOOR PANEL. UNABLE TO GET OUT FROM INSIDE CAR. IF AN ACCIDENT WERE TO OCCUR I WOULD BE UNABLE TO ESCAPE FROM VEHICLE. THERE ARE SEVERAL COMPLAINTS ON MULTIPLE YEAR FORD FUSIONS FROM 2006 TO 2010 ONLINE THERE ARE YOU TUBE VIDEOS ON IT. THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL THIS CAN BE A SAFETY HAZARD WITH GRAVE CIRCUMSTANCES. *TR
DRIVERS DOOR LATCH IS NOT WORKING FROM THE INSIDE. MUST LOWER WINDOW AND OPEN FROM OUTSIDE. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AS IT NOT SAFE IN AN EMERGENCY WHEN YOU HAVE TO GET OUT OF THE CAR IMMEDIATELY. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH, THE VEHICLE'S SPEED DECREASED AND FAILED TO ACCELERATE. THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR AND THE WRENCH DISPLAY ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE THROTTLE BODY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 131,157.
THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR LOCKING MECHANISM HAS BROKE AND THE DOOR WILL NOT CLOSE. WE HAD TO USE A BUNGEE CORD TO DRIVER IT TO THE REPAIR SHOP AND NOW THEY ARE TELLING US, 450$ TO FIX IT. VERY SCARY DRIVE WITH THE DOOR NOT ENGAGED. *TR
BRAKES ARE VERY SOFT AFTER GOING OVER A ROUGH PATCH IN THE ROAD AND TRIED TO BRAKE TO CONTROL VEHICLE. BRAKES WENT ALMOST TO THE FLOOR AND FELT LIKE THERE WAS NO CONTROL. SINCE THEN, BRAKES WILL FEEL LIKE THEY HAVE PRESSURE BUT WHEN I HAVE TO APPLY BRAKES THE PEDAL GOES DOWN TO THE FLOOR. I HAVE HAD 2 MASTER CYLINDERS REPLACED AND THAT DOES NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM.

DASH IS LIFTING BENEATH THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. I'M AFRAID THE AIR BAG EITHER MAY DEPLOY UNEXPECTEDLY OR NOT AT ALL. *TR
CAR JOLTED WHILE CRUISING AT 70 MPH ON THE INTERSTATE, THEN WENT IN TO LIKE A FIRST GEAR AND HIGH RPM. ALL THE DASHBOARD GAUGES, LIGHTS AND RADIO WENT OFF. PUT IN NEUTRAL AND EVERYTHING CAME BACK ON AND FUNCTIONED. PUT BACK IN DRIVE AND THE SAME ISSUE WITH GEAR, SPEED, GAUGES, ETC. RETURNED. BACK IN NEUTRAL SO I COULD USE MY FLASHERS AND AFTER COASTING FOR A LITTLE BIT THE ENTIRE CAR SHUT DOWN AND WOULD NOT COME BACK ON. HAD TO TOW TO A NEARBY DEALERSHIP (54 MILES AWAY) WHERE THEY ARE TELLING ME THE THROTTLE BODY HAS FAILED AND NEEDS REPLACED. *TR
CAR JOLTED THEN WENT IN TO LIKE A FIRST GEAR WITH HIGH RPM. ALL GAUGES WENT TO ZERO AND ALL DASHBOARD THINGS STOPPED, INCLUDING RADIO. PUT IN NEUTRAL, ALL GAUGES RETURNED TO NORMAL AND ALL LIGHTS FUNCTIONED. PUT BACK IN DRIVE AND THE SAME ISSUER WITH GEAR, SPEED, GAUGES, ETC. RETURNED. WRENCH LIGHT FLASHES ON THE DASH AS THE CAR SLOWS TO 20 MPR OR LESS, GAS PEDAL TO THE FLOOR AND IT WONT GO. I SHUT THE CAR OFF AND TURN IT BACK ON IT RUNS UNTIL IT SLOWS DOWN AGAIN ANOTHER 20-30 MILES. THIS YEAR SHOULD'VE BEEN RECALLED AS THE 2009-2012 MODELS. *TR
HAD THROTTLE BODY REPLACED AFTER MULTIPLE STALLS AT IDLE. REPLACEMENT THROTTLE BODY STILL STALLING ENGINE AT IDLE. FORTUNATE TO NOT HAVE IT STALL IN MOTION. *TR
DRIVER SIDE, REAR DOOR OPENED, PASSENGERS EXITED. I, MYSELF, CLOSED THE DOOR BEHIND THEM AND THE DOOR SIMPLY FLEW BACK OPEN. DOOR WILL NOT LATCH. DOOR WILL NOT SHUT. NOT MANUALLY, NOT BY KEY. LOCKING MECHANISM ON CAR WILL NOT WORK. I HAD TO DRIVE HOME IN THE BACK SEAT AND LITERALLY HOLD THE DOOR SHUT SO THAT MY PASSENGERS WOULD NOT FALL OUT OF THE CAR. I HAVE 3 CHILDREN AND ONE ON THE WAY. I CANNOT SIT IN THE BACK AND HOLD THE DOOR SHUT IF I NEED TO USE THE CAR. CAR IS WELL MAINTAINED, ALL SERVICE'S DONE STRICTLY BY FORD. I WAS QUOTED A PRICE RANGE OF $3-400 TO GET IT FIXED. *JS
THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG ABOVE THE GLOVE COMPARTMENT IS EXPOSED. NOW MY AIRBAG LIKE WILL NOT TURN OFF. *TR
DASHBOARD VINYL AND PADDING IS BULGING AWAY FROM THE PASSENGER AIRBAG PANEL. THIS SEEMS TO BE A SAFETY ISSUE AS THE AIRBAG MAY NOT DEPLOY PROPERLY IN AN ACCIDENT, OR MAY DEPLOY AT ANY TIME WITHOUT AN ACCIDENT AND INJURE THE PASSENGER. SOMETIMES AIRBAG LIGHT GOES ON. ALTHOUGH THE DASHBOARD LOOKS UNSIGHTLY, THIS IS NOT A COSMETIC ISSUE, IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE!! *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD FUSION. AFTER STARTING THE VEHICLE, THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHO WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE OR REPAIR THE VEHICLE; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER. THE CONTACT WAS UNSURE ABOUT WHAT PART NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 30,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. SEVERAL TIMES OVER THE PAST 3 YEARS MY 2007 FORD FUSION SE V6 WOULD SUDDENLY LOSE POWER. ENGINE WOULD REMAIN RUNNING BUT VEHICLE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. WRENCH LIGHT AND ENGINE LIGHT WOULD ILLUMINATE WHEN THIS OCCURS. SOLUTION IS TO PULL OVER AND SHUT CAR COMPLETELY OFF FOR 30 SECONDS AND RESTART. SOMETIMES THIS WOULD WORK FOR A FEW MINUTES OR SEVERAL 1000 MILES BEFORE REPEATING AGAIN. I HAVE HAD THE CAR INTO THE FORD DEALER MULTIPLE TIMES AND THEY KEEP TELLING ME THEY CAN NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. I HAVE FOUND 1000'S OF COMPLAINTS ONLINE WITH THE SAME ISSUES FOR WHAT APPEARS TO BE A KNOWN ISSUE AT FORD WITH THE THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY. I RETURNED TO THE DEALER WITH ALL OF THIS INFORMATION AND WAS TOLD THE THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY WOULD TAKE WEEKS TO GET AND THAT THE REPLACEMENT PART IS THE EXACT OEM PART WHICH HAS THE SAME DEFECT. FORD WANTS ME TO PAY TO REPLACE A DEFECTIVE PART WITH A DEFECTIVE PART. THE ENGINE SUDDENLY LOSING POWER IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS IF IN HIGH SPEED TRAFFIC THE RISK OF A CRASH IS EVEN MORE OF A CONCERN. WHY IS FORD NOT FIXING THIS ISSUE ON A RECALL? THIS IS GOING TO GET PEOPLE KILLED! *TR

WHEN SPEEDING UP TO PASS SOMEONE ON THE HIGHWAY THE CAR REVVED UP TO ALMOST 6K RPM AND JERKED VIOLENTLY INTO THE NEXT GEAR. THE WRENCH LIGHT CAME ON SHORTLY AFTER AND THE CAR WAS PARKED. THE NEXT MORNING THE LIGHT WAS OFF UNTIL A SHORT TRIP TO THE MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSIS. THE MECHANIC DIAGNOSED THE CAR AND GOT 2 ERROR CODES. BOTH SHOWING TRANSMISSION FAILURE. *TR

BACK IN JUNE,2014 I NOTICED SOMETHING WEIRD ON MY DASH. FOR SOME REASON THE DASH ABOVE THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG IS BUBBLING UP. AT FIRST I THOUGHT IT MIGHT BE THE HEAT FROM THE SUN, SO I STARTED PARKING MY CAR IN THE SHADE TO AVOID HIGHER TEMPS HITTING THE DASH. UNFORTUNATELY, IT DID NOT HELP. THE BUBBLE KEPT GROWING AND GROWING. NOW IT'S SO LARGE THAT I AM WORRIED THAT THE AIRBAG HAS BECOME COMPROMISED. I AM CONCERNED THAT THE AIRBAG MAY DEPLOY WHEN I'M DRIVING OR POSSIBLE NOT DEPLOY IF I AM IN A CAR ACCIDENT. IT APPEARS THERE ARE QUITE A FEW PEOPLE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE SAME PROBLEM. DASHBOARD COVER AREA OVER PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG IS STARTING TO BULGE AND I CAN SEE AIRBAG. CONCERNED ABOUT FAILURE OF AIRBAG TO DEPLOY OR PREMATURE DEPLOYMENT. INTERNET SEARCH HAS FOUND THIS IS A COMMON DEFECT AND APPARENTLY FORD DOES NOT DO ANYTHING IF THE VEHICLE IS OUT OF WARRANTY, WHICH, MINE IS.
