TAKATA INFLATORS. THIS IS NOT A COMPLAINT ABOUT A VEHICLE MALFUNCTION, IT IS ABOUT FORD'S FAILURE TO ADDRESS THE RECALL ISSUES. WE HAVE RECEIVED TWO SAFETY RECALL NOTICES. 7/16--NOTIFICATION OF AIRBAG DANGER 12/17 NOTIFICATION THAT PARTS WOULD BE AV AILABLE IN SPRING OF 2018 AND WARNING NOT TO ALLOW ANYONE TO SIT IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. WE CALLED THE DEALERSHIP IN MAY AND WERE TOLD THAT THE REPLACEMENT PARTS WOULD NOT BE AVAILABLE IN THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE, SO WE'RE STUCK WITH A CAR THAT IS BASICALLY A SINGLE PERSON CONVEYANCE AND CONSEQUENTLY ESSENTIALLY UNSALABLE AND NOT REPAIRABLE. MY COMPLAINT IS THAT FORD HAS ISSUED A SAFETY NOTICE AND APPARENTLY HAS NO OBLIGATION TO REDRESS THE SAFETY ISSUE.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND WAS NOT ABLE TO CONFIRM WHEN THE PARTS WERE TO BECOME AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
IDLER PULLEY WHEN DRIVING THE IDLER PULLEY BROKE I WAS MAKING A LEFT TURN I END UP HITTING AN ISLAND BREAKING TO MY TIE RODS ON THE OUTER TIE RODS ON BOTH FRONTS THIS IS THE FIFTH IDLER PULLEY FORD MOTOR CREDIT CHARGE ME $500 TO FIX IT IT'S BEEN LESS THAN 200 MILES I TOOK IT BACK AND THEY WANT TO CHARGE ME $165 FOR A DIAGNOSTIC FOR THE SAME PROBLEM THIS IS RIDICULOUS
TAKATA RECALL IT HAS BEEN ALMOST 2 YEARS SINCE THE FIRST NOTIFICATION OF THIS ISSUE AND I WAS THEN TOLD THAT I COULD NOT HAVE ANYONE SIT IN MY PASSENGERS SEAT OF MY CAR. I SPOKE WITH FORD ON 5/1/2018 AND WAS INFORMED FROM THEM THAT PARTS WERE AVAILABLE TO REMEDY THE AIRBAG ISSUE BUT WHEN SPEAKING WITH MY DEALERSHIP THIS WAS NOT TRUE. VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH HOW THIS HAS BEEN HANDLED.
TAKATA RECALL. I RECEIVED A "DO NOT DRIVE" LETTER FROM FORD AND THE NYS DMV. I CONTACTED 7 FORD DEALERSHIPS IN UPSTATE NY AND MA, INCLUDING FORD RHINEBECK, RC LACY FORD (CATSKILL, NY), CROSSROADS FORD (RAVENA, NY), FUCCILLO FORD (EAST GREENBUSH AND LATHAM), MARCHESE FORD (NEW LEBANON, NY), AMONG OTHERS. I WAS ADVISED BY ALL THAT THE REPLACEMENT PART IS NOT AVAILABLE UNTIL THE END OF SEPTEMBER OR OCTOBER, AND NONE COULD PROVIDE A RENTAL CAR.

THE DEALER (PREMIER FORD, LOCATED AT 1072 E 49TH, BROOKLYN, NY 11234) STATED THAT THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED REGARDING PART AVAILABILITY. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
I AM STILL WAITING FOR PARTS FROM THE MARCH 2017 RECALL NOTICE. I HAVE A 4 INCH GAP ON THE COVER TO MY PASSENGER AIRBAG WHICH LOOKS LIKE IT WILL EXPLODE AT ANYTIME.
PASSENGER AIRBAG DIDN'T EXPLODE BUT RAPTURE THE DASHBOARD. FORD MOTOR OPENED CLAIM AND AGREED TO PAY FOR LOANER CAR TROUGH DEALER, HOWEVER NO DEALER IN HOUSTON AREA WILL AGREE TO DO IT. THIS IS GOING ON FOR TWO WEEKS NOW. THE CAR ONLY HAVE 65K MILES, I AM SINGLE MOM WHO CAN'T DRIVE MY TEENAGERS ON A BACK SEAT FOREVER.
TAKATA RECALL I JUST RECENTLY PURCHASED A 2007 FORD FUSION S ON MARCH 9, 2018 TO DISCOVER ON APRIL 2, 2018 THAT THERE IS A RECALL FOR THE TAKATA AIRBAGS IN MY CAR. I CALLED FORD ON APRIL 3, 2018 TO DISCOVER BY AN EMPLOYEE IN THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT THAT I IN FACT HAVE 2 RECALLS FOR THE FRONT PASSENGER AND FRONT DRIVER AIRBAGS. FORD TOLD ME TO CALL THEM PERIODICALLY BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE EITHER PART TO FIX MY CAR AT THE TIME. THAT'S ALL THEY TOLD ME. WHEN I HUNG UP, I CHECKED MY VIN AGAIN ONLINE AND NOW 0 RECALLS ARE SHOWING UP WHICH IS WRONG! I NEED MY CAR FIXED AND I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY MY RECALL ON MY VIN DISAPPEARED OFF OF THIS WEBSITE AND ALSO MISSING FROM SAFERCAR AS WELL. IT ORIGINALLY HAD A RECALL AND CHANGED STATUS OVERNIGHT? THAT DOESN'T SEEM RIGHT TO ME. I NEED MY CAR FIXED BECAUSE I HAVE SMALL CHILDREN AND THIS IS THE ONLY CAR WE HAVE ACCESS TO. WHY IS YOUR WEBSITE TELLING ME 0 RECALLS TODAY AND 1 LAST NIGHT??
TAKATA RECALL NEVER RECEIVED NOTICE IN THE MAIL. BUT COMING ONLINE IT LOOKS LIKE THERE ISN'T A FIX. I AM SCARED TO DRIVE A CAR WITH A FAULTY AIR BAG SYSTEM.
TAKATA RECALL - DEALER KEEPS STATING THAT WE HAVE TO CALL BACK FOR PARTS INSTEAD OF TAKING NAMES AND CALLING US WHEN THEY HAVE THE PART. THEY NEVER KNOW WHEN THEY ARE COMING IN OR HOW MANY THEY HAVE ON ORDER. THIS IS THE 2ND YEAR WE HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET THIS REPAIRED. WE WONDER HOW MANY PARTS HAVE BEEN MADE AVAILABLE SINCE THIS RECALL FOR THIS MODEL. HOW CAN WE POSSIBLY KNOW WHEN TO CALL.
TAKATA RECALL - FORD HAS NOT RESOLVED THIS ISSUE WITH MY VEHICLE. PLEASE REPORT TO US WHAT THE HOLDUP IS, PLEASE.
TAKATA RECALL: AS OF 03/15/2018, FORD HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO PROVIDE A REPLACEMENT FOR THE DEFECTIVE TAKATA AIRBAG INSTALLED IN MY VEHICLE. THIS CONTINUES TO BE A SAFETY CONCERN FOR MY WIFE AND 1 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER, AS THERE IS NO ALTERATIVE VEHICLE THEY CAN DRIVE WHILE I AM WORKING FULL-TIME. THERE HAS BEEN NO RECENT FOLLOW UP FROM FORD AND OUR LOCAL DEALER DOES NOT KNOW WHEN THE REPLACEMENT AIR BAG WILL BE AVAILABLE. I AM VERY DISPLEASED WITH THIS SITUATION AND THE LACK OF RESPONSE FROM FORD TO ALLEVIATE THIS ISSUE.

THE AREA ON THE DASHBOARD WHERE THE PASSENGER AIRBAG IS HAS STARTED TO HEAVE UP.I AM AFRAID THAT IT MIGHT RUPTURE. I HAVE TURNED OFF THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. IS THIS SOMETHING THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED? THE AREA AFFECTED IS ABOUT 7 INCHES LONG.

TAKATA RECALL. THE SIGN AIR BAG IS ON
TAKATA AIRBAG RECALL, I HAD TO TAKE MY CAR IN FOR OVER A MONTH TO HAVE IT SERVICED FOR THIS RECALL. THE AIRBAG COVER IN MY CAR IS NOW LIFTED AND HAS A HUMP IN IT. I ALSO HAD TO WAIT FOR A VERY LONG TIME TO GET A SAFE VEHICLE TO DRIVE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO EAGLE RIVER FORD (1050 E WALL ST, EAGLE RIVER, WI 54521), BUT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE AND VIN WERE UNKNOWN.

FORD'S CUSTOMER SERVICE STATED THAT THE LETTER WAS SENT TO THE ADDRESS IN WEST PALM BEACH, FL IN DECEMBER OF 2017; HOWEVER, THE CONTACT STATED THAT HIS DAUGHTER RESIDED IN PALM SPRINGS, FL. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED BY FORD'S CUSTOMER SERVICE SUPERVISOR THAT THE MANUFACTURER WOULD ONLY SEND ONE RECALL NOTICE TO THE ADDRESS ON FILE.
TAKATA RECALL. DEALER COULD NOT PROVIDE A TIMEFRAME FOR FIXING. SAID HE DID NOT HAVE THE PARTS AND HAD NO WAY OF KNOWING WHEN THEY WOULD COME IN.
TAKATA RECALL I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR ALMOST A YEAR FOR THIS TO BE FIXED IN MY DAUGHTERS CAR. WHERE ARE THE PARTS??
DRIVING AT 70 MPH ON THE INTERSTATE, CAR SUDDENLY SHUDDERS, WRENCH LIGHT COMES ON. I IMMEDIATELY PULLED ONTO THE NEAREST EXIT RAMP AND DROVE AT REDUCED SPEED UNTIL ABLE TO STOP. SHUT OFF CAR, THEN TURNED IGNITION KEY TO CHECK DIAGNOSTICS. ALL GOOD? STARTED CAR, DROVE MAYBE 50 FT WHEN WRENCH AND EMISSIONS LIGHTS CAME ON AND CAR WENT INTO 'LIMP' MODE. GOT OFF OF RAMP AND SHUT OFF CAR FOR 5 MIN. RESTARTED CAR, EMISSIONS LIGHT ON ONLY, BUT CAR WAS DRIVE-ABLE DROVE 20 MILES @ 60-65MPH WITH NO PROBLEM UNTIL I GOT HOME. OUTSIDE TEMP WAS -5F. NEXT MORNING CHECKED CAR WITH OBD2 DIAGNOSTIC TOOL. A 'P2110' CODE APPEARED, SIGNIFYING TAC/PCM ISSSUE/S. AFTER CHECKING EARLIER NHTSA RECORDS, THIS HAS HAPPENED MANY TIMES! MY WIFE USES THE SAME CAR, AND IF WHAT HAPPENED TO ME HAPPENED TO HER, MOST LIKELY THE RESULTS WOULD HAVE BEEN FATAL!!! IS SOMEONE DYING HAVE TO BE WHAT WILL GET A RECALL? PLEASE DO SOMETHING. RECALL 16S26 / NHTSA 16V-384 FOR MY 2007 FORD FUSION WAS ISSUED IN JULY 2016. THE RECALL IS REGARDING THE PASSANGER SEAT AIRBHAG OF THIS VEHICLE. AFTER OVER 18 MONTHS I HAVE NOT BEEN CONTACTED TO HAVE THE AIRBAG REPLACED. THIS NEEDS TO BE REPAIRED ASAP DUE THE FACT THAT NOT HAVING ANYONE USE THE PASSANGER SEAT IS UNACCEPTABLE. DECEMBER 2017 I WAS NOTIFIED THE PARTS ARE DELAYED AND TO ANTICIPATE BEING NOTIFIED IN THE SPRING OF 2018. THIS DELAY IS UNREASONABLE.
DRIVING ON SLIPPERY WINTER NORTHERN ILLINOIS ROAD, STEPPED ON BRAKES WHEN APPROACHING A STOP LIGHT. ABS KICKED IN (SEEMED TO BE RIGHT FRONT WHEEL), THEN BRAKE PETAL WENT TO THE FLOOR AND COULD NOT STOP, ALMOST HIT THE CAR AHEAD OF ME. BRAKE PETAL REMAINED VERY SOFT AND EASILY WENT TO THE FLOOR BOARD FOR THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. AFTER THAT, IT WENT BACK TO NORMAL. I AM CONVINCED AN ABS VALVE STUCK, SO I WENT TO THE DEALER TO GET A FIX / PART. TO MY SURPRISE, DEALER SAID FORD DOES NOT SUPPLY THE PART AND CANNOT FIX THIS PROBLEM WITH A NEW PART. SO, I HAVE NO SOLUTION. IF I GET A PART FROM THE JUNK YARD, IT WILL LIKELY HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM IN TIME. THIS IS A MAJOR PROBLEM TO THE SAFETY OF MY FAMILY, AND FORD OFFERS NO SOLUTION. ONLY THING I CAN THINK OF IS DEACTIVATE THE ABS. AT LEAST I WILL HAVE SOME BRAKES IN EMERGENCY RATHER THAN NO BRAKES.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A POSTCARD FROM TK HOLDINGS, ALERTING HER THAT THEY FILED FOR BANKRUPTCY. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
AWAITING REPAIRS ON A TAKATA AIRBAG FOR YEARS. THE ISSUE WAS IDENTIFIED IN 2012, A RECALL WAS ISSUED IN 2016, AND PARTS ARE CLAIMED TO BE UNAVAILABLE AS OF 1/11/2018. THE DEALER SAYS CALL THE MANUFACTURE HOTLINE, THE MANUFACTURER HOTLINE SAYS THEY'LL REPAIR WHEN THEY HAVE PARTS, I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR MULTIPLE YEARS. THE NHTSA STATE THE SEATING POSITION SHOULD NOT BE USED. FINE, THEN COMP THE TCO FOR PRIMARY SEATING POSITION. I FEEL LIKE THE NHTSA AND THE MANUFACTURE ARE SIMPLY COLLUDING TO DELAY REPAIRS UNTIL THESE VEHICLES ARE NO LONGER IN SERVICE.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND WAS NOT ABLE TO CONFIRM WHEN THE PARTS WERE TO BECOME AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH MY CAR THAT IS VERY DANGEROUS, AND COULD BE LIFE THREATENING TO ME AND OTHERS. UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS MY BRAKES WILL NOT WORK. IT HAPPENS WHEN THE ROAD IS WET OR HAS SNOW ON IT. A FEW DIFFERENT THINGS HAS HAPPENED WHICH APPARENTLY DEPENDS HOW SLIPPERY THE ROAD IS. WHEN BRAKING SOMETIMES THERE WILL BE A ODD NOISE WHICH I THINK IS THE SAFETY BRAKING FEATURE, BUT EVEN THAT DOESN'T SEEM TO WORK CORRECT. THE WORST IS THIS. AGAIN, WHEN SLICK OR SLIPPERY ROADS. THERE HAVE BEEN NUMEROUS TIMES WHEN TRYING TO BRAKE I HAVE LOST ALL BRAKING. THE BRAKE PEDEL GOES COMPLETELY TO THE FLOOR. ON A FEW OCCASIONS THIS HAPPENED WHILE TRYING TO STOP BEFORE A STOP SIGN AND ENDED UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. THIS HAS HAPPENED GOING AT A SPEED OF 10 TO 55 MPH. TWICE THIS HAPPENED WHERE THE STOP SIGN WAS AT A ROAD THAT WAS 55 MPH. YOU CAN IMAGINE WHAT COULD HAVE HAPPENED. I HAVE READ ONLINE THAT OTHERS ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. SO DOES THAT MEAN FOREIGN MANUFACTURERS ARE MORE CONSIDERATE FOR OUR SAFETY THAN OWN COUNTRY ? I WANT ACTION.

TAKATA RECALL I RECEIVED NOTICE OF THIS RECALL OVER A YEAR AGO INITIALLY AND AM YET TO HAVE RECEIVED ANY FURTHER NOTICE OF REMEDY OR POTENTIAL REMEDY. THE RECOMMENDATION FROM FORD IS TO NOT ALLOW ANYONE TO SIT IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT WHICH HAS RESULTED IN REDUCED USE OF MY OWN PROPERTY.
MY 2007 FORD FUSION WAS PURCHASED IN 2011 AND WAS FINANCED, AND I PAID IT OFF IN DECEMBER 2017. IT SINCE THEN ONLY IT HAS A 144,00 MILES. IT WAS PURCHASED WITH LOWER MILEAGE, OF AN ESTIMATION OF 40,000 TO 50,000 MILES ON IT AT FINAL SALE MEANING IT WAS A 2007 CAR, PURCHASED IN 2011, SO THAT'S A PROBLEM WHEN BEFORE IT HAD BEEN PAID OFF, AND MAJOR PROBLEMS OF MANY. I WOULD LIKE A REFUND OF A LESSER EQUAL TO OR EQUAL VALUE TO MY PURCHASED CAR PRICE FROM MANUFACTURE OR DEALERSHIP. THE TWO RECALLS ISSUED THAT I HAVE NOT TAKEN CARE OF YET, AND OTHER PROBLEMS WITH CHEAP MADE INSIDE DOOR HANDLES BROKE EASILY, BEING HARD PLASTIC/METAL, THIS MAKES GETTING OUT OF MY VEHICLE A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUES ALONG WITH THE OTHER ISSUES OF AIRBAGS AND BRAKES AND OTHER SAFETY ISSUES.

IT WAS PAID OFF AT THE END OF 2017, THEN NOW ALL THE RECALLS 4 OR 5 DIFFERENT RECALLS AND SERIOUS RECALLS . I HAVE ABSOLUTLEY NO BRAKES ALL WAS TO THE FLOOR WITH NO PRESSURE AT ALL . TO MANY BECAUSE AND I DO BELIEVE THAT SINCE IT WAS PAID OFF AT THE END OF 2017 . THAT I SHOULD BE OFFERED FOR THEM TO ME TO PICK OUT AND THEM TO REPLACE ME ANOTHER CAR FOR UP TO $10,00, AND THAT TOM MASANO GETS A REBATE IN THE AMOUNT OF 10.000 OR MORE , I NEED A SAFE CAR TO DRIVE WITH LESS SAFETY RECALLS AS THIS CAR HAS MAJOR SAFETY RECALLS ON IT.

REACHED OUT TO LOCAL FORD DEALER IN CHARLOTTE, NC AND WAS TOLD I WOULD BE CONTACTED WHEN PARTS ARRIVED. MOVED TO ALABAMA IN JULY, 2017. REACHED OUT TO LOCAL FORD DEALER AND CONTINUE TO BE TOLD THAT PARTS FOR THE AIRBAG RECALL HAVE NOT BEEN PROVIDED BY THE MANUFACTURER. WILL THE AIRBAGS GET REPLACED? WHAT RISK IS THERE TO CONTINUE TO USE THE VEHICLE?
THIS HAS HAPPEN INTERMITINGLY DURING THE COURSE OF OWNERSHIP. LATEST DATE IS 12/14/2017, CAR HAS 100,000 MILES ON IT - ORIGINAL OWNER. IF ON SLIPPERY, OR SNOWY ROAD AND BRAKES ARE USED TO STOP, IF ABS FUNCTIONS, PEDDLE GOES LOW AND STOPPING DIFFICULT. IF PEDAL PUMPED, BRAKES BECOME FIRM AND FUNCTION OK. EVENTUALLY SYSTEM GOES BACK TO NORMAL BY ITSELF.
TAKATA RECALL. THIS CAR WAS RECALLED ON JULY 2016 AND FORD HAS NOT FIXED THE PROBLEM. I HAVE OPENED A COMPLAINT WITH FORD, CASE NUMBER CAS13704183. FORD STATES THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE A SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM.
AFTER THE ABS ENGAGED ON THE CAR ON SOME ICE (GOING APPROXIMATELY 20MPH) THE BRAKE PEDAL SANK NEARLY TO THE FLOOR. NOW I HAVE NO ABS AND THE PEDAL SINKS TO ABOUT 2 INCHES ABOVE THE FLOOR BEFORE BRAKING STARTS. I HAVE HAD THE LINES AND MASTER CYLINDER LOOKED AT AND THEY WERE FINE. THE DEALER BELIEVES IT IS THE ABS PUMP THAT HAS A STUCK VALVE. APPARENTLY THIS IS NOT UNCOMMON AND NEEDS TO BE A RECALL NOT JUST AN EXPENSIVE REPAIR BILL FOR SOMETHING THAT COULD KILL PEOPLE.
