TAKATA RECALL, I'VE CHECK WITH SEVERAL DEALERSIPS IN MY AREA ABOUT THE RECALL FOR OUR VEHICLE. THEY ARE TELLING ME THERE IS STILL NOT A FIX FROM THE MANUFACTURER. I UNDERSTAND THERE IS A LOT OF VEHICLES AFFECTED BUT I'VE SEEN OTHER MANUFACTURER FIXING THE RECALL FOR THE AIRBAGS. WHY HASN'T FORD MOTOR CO. COME UP WITHA SOLUTION FOR THEIR VEHICLES UNDER THIS RECALL, THIS IS A VERY SERIIOUS PROBLEM.
MY PROBLEM IS EXACTLY AS DESCRIBED IN THE OPEN INVESTIGATION NHTSA ACTION NUMBER PE16017 CALLED "EXTENDED BRAKING DISTANCE". AFTER ENGAGING THE ABS DUE TO ICY AND SNOWY CONDITIONS, MY BRAKE PEDAL BECAME VERY "SOFT" AND ALMOST GOES TO THE FLOOR. THE TYPICAL BRAKING CHARACTERISTICS ARE CHANGED DRAMATICALLY, MUCH GREATER FORCE AND DISTANCE ARE REQUIRED TO STOP THE CAR. THIS IS VERY REPEATABLE. PUMPINT THE BRAKES DID NOT IMMEDIATELY HELP, BUT EVENTUALLY THE PEDAL DID COME BACK TO THE NORMAL POSITION. DURING THE SUMMER OF 2017 I MUST HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITHOUT REALIZING IT, THE SHOP REPLACED MY MASTER CYLINDER BUT AS OF YESTERDAY IT'S OBVIOUS CHANGING THE MASTER CYLINDER DID NOT HELP. I SEE THIS AS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE, I WILL NOT LET MY DAUGHTER DRIVE THIS CAR AGAIN UNTIL THIS IS FIXED.
THERE ARE NO PARTS AVAILABLE UNTIL MID NEXT YEAR (PER CAR DEALERSHIP)
TAKATA RECALL I TRIED TO GET AIRBAG REPLACED SEVERAL TIME WITH NO LUCK. DEALERSHIP IS SAYING THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE THE AIRBAG IN STOCK.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A NOTICE FROM TK HOLDINGS, ALERTING HER THAT THEY FILED FOR BANKRUPTCY. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. TAKATA RECALL... CALLED DEALER (ROY O'BRIEN FORD SERVICE) REGARDING NHTSA RECALL NUMBER 17V024, MANUFACTURER RECALL NUMBER 17S01 AND THEY ARE CLUELESS AS TO WHEN THIS ISSUE WILL BE ADDRESSED OR WHEN PARTS WILL BECOME AVAILABLE.
TAKATA RECALL
THE SHIFTING KNOB AND THE LINK ROD TO THE TRANSMISSION CAME OUT PREVENTING THE SHIFT LEVER FROM CHANGING THE TRANSMISSION GEARS AS DESIRED. I FOUND IF I PUSH THE UNIT BACK IN THE HOLE AND HOLD A DOWNWARD PRESSURE ON THE KNOB IT WILL OPERATE. HOWEVER IF YOU TOUCH THE KNOB WHILE DRIVING, THE TRANSMISSION WILL SHIFT INTO LOW RANGE CAUSING A JERK TO SLOW DOWN THE VEHICLE. THIS IS PERTINENTLY BAD ON SNOW COVERED SURFACES. I FOUND THERE IS A RECALL ON 2017 FUSION FOR THIS EXACT PROBLEM THE RECALL NUMBER IS 17S36. SAYING THIS SITUATION MAY RESOLVE IN A INJURY OR AN ACCIDENT. I CALLED FORD RECALL AT I-800-392-3673 AND WAS TOLD I HAVE NO CLAIM FOR REPAIR AND THE RECALL IS FOR THE 2017 ONLY. WILL YOU PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS MATTER? MY CAR ROLLS BACK ON A SLIGHT SLOPE AFTER I TAKE MY FOOT OFF OF THE BRAKE. I WAS WAITING TO PULL OUT ONTO THE ROAD. WHY DOES IT MATTER HOW MANY MILES ARE ON THE CARE. IF MY CAR ROLLS BACK AND HITS A CAR IT SHOULDNT MATTER HOW MANY MILES ARE ON THE VEHICLE. IF I WAS IN AN ACCIDENT DUE TO THIS PROBLEM I WOULD FALL BACK ONTO FORD MOTOR COMPANY.

TAKATA RECALL: I'VE RECEIVED 2 LETTERS FROM FORD OVER THE LAST YEAR AND A HALF SAYING THERE IS A RECALL FOR MY AIRBAGS. I'VE CALLED MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP AND THEY HAVE NO SUPPLIES YET FOR PUTTING NEW AIRBAGS IN. THEY TOLD ME TO CONTACT FORD, BUT THEN I RECEIVED A SETTLEMENT NOTICE FOR TEKATA AIRBAGS. I CONCLUDED THAT THESE ARE THE AIRBAGS IN MY CAR. I WENT TO THE WEBSITE WWW.AIRBAGRECALL.COM TO GET MY NEW AIRBAGS, BUT ALL IT GAVE ME WAS THE PHONE NUMBER TO THE DEALERSHIP, WHICH I'VE ALREADY CALLED AND THEY DON'T HAVE ANY. I WANT THIS RESOLVED AND I'M GETTING THE RUN AROUND.
CALLED THE FORD DEALER SEVERAL TIMES ABOUT THE RECALL OF THE PASSENGER FRONTAL AIRBAG INFLATOR (TAKATA RECALL) AND THEY CLAIM THEY DON'T HAVE REPLACEMENT.

TAKATA TELLS CUSTOMERS TO CONTACT FORD DEALERSHIPS, FORD DEALERSHIPS TELL CUSTOMERS THAT THERE IS NO FIX FOR THIS???? PLEASE EXPLAIN THE LACK OF ACTION BY FORD

I HAVE BEEN INFORMED THAT MY FORD FUSION IS UNDER RECALL REPAIR FOR THE AIRBAGS. I CANNOT GET THEM REPAIRED BECAUSE THERE ARE NO PARTS AVAILABLE.
TAKATA RECALL TAKING TWO LONG. RECALL WAS 06/2016. STILL HAVE NOT BEEN REPLACED AS OF 11/18/2017. THIS IS MY ELDERLY MOTHERS CAR AND EVERY TIME SHE CHECKS WILL THE FORD DEALER IN ROYSTON GA. THEY ACT LIKE SMARTY PANTS AND ASK HER "DID YOU GET A LETTER AND WHAT DID IT SAY?" HER REPLY IS THAT THE LETTER SAID THEY WOULD CONTACT HER WHEN THEY GET THE PARTS. THEY CLAIM THEY HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE PARTS YET. A YEAR AND A HALF WAIT IS TO LONG. WHAT IS UP WITH FORD. MY HONDA AIRBAG WAS TAKEN CARE OF IN 2016.

THE MANUFACTURER CONFIRMED THAT THE PARTS WERE UNAVAILABLE FOR THE REPAIR. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.
TAKATA RECALL THIS NOTICE WAS PUT OUT IN 2016, IT IS ALMOST THE END OF 2017. I CALLED FORD MOTORS ON 11/17/17 AND THEY DON'T HAVE AN ESTIMATED TIME AS TO WHEN THE DEALERSHIPS WILL BE RECEIVING THE PARTS TO FIX THE AIR BAG PROBLEMS. WHAT'S A REASONABLE TIME FAME? I HOPE THEY'RE NOT WAITING FOR AN ACCIDENT TO HAPPEN FIRST.
TAKATA RECALL - MY DASHBOARD AIRBAG LIGHT IS ON. I TOOK IT TO ONE DEALER WHO SAID THAT THE AIRBAG LIGHT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE RECALL AND I WOULD HAVE TO HAVE IT FIXED ON MY OWN. WHEN I TOOK IT TO ANOTHER DEALER, I WAS TOLD THE LIGHT HAD TO DO WITH THE RECALL AND I WOULD HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL PARTS ARE AVAILABLE AND I GET ANOTHER LETTER FROM FORD THAT IT IS TIME TO HAVE IT FIXED. PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT I NEED TO DO. THANK YOU.
TAKATA INFLATORS- THE COVER TO MY PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG IS WARPED AND PARTIALLY EXPOSING THE AIRBAG. I AM UNABLE TO TRANSPORT ANOTHER PASSENGER FOR FEAR OF IT EXPLODING. IN ADDITION, THE DASHBOARD LIGHT FOR MY DRIVER RIDE AIRBAG WILL NOT TURN OFF.

THEY SAID THAT THEY CAN'T DO IT AT THIS TIME, AS THEY DON'T HAVE ANY AIR BAGS FOR THE REPLACEMENTS, BUT THAT THEY WOULD BE IN CONTACT WITH ME. THEY GAVE ME NO IDEA OF TIMELINE, ETC.
TAKATA RECALL - STILL WAITING FOR PARTS FOR THE LAST 2-3 YEARS FOR MY ELDERLY MOTHERS 2007 FORD FUSION. EVERY TIME SHE CHECKS WITH THE DEALER THEY SAY THEY ARE WAITING FOR PARTS. THIS COULD BE A HAZARD IF SHE HAS A FRONT END COLLISION. DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY FORD IS TAKING SO LONG. MY 2002 HONDA WAS CORRECTED OVER 2 YEARS AGO.

IT IS NOW NOV 11, 2017 AND FORD HAS BEEN GIVING US THE RUN AROUND IN REGARDS TO HAVING IT REPAIRED, THIS INCLUDES HOURS OF PHONE CONVERSATIONS AND MULITPLE TRIPS TO VARIOUS DEALERS. WE STILL HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO HAVE THE VEHICLE REPAIRED AND ARE DRIVING WITH A POTENTIALLY FATAL DEFECT. IF THERE ARE AIRBAGS AVAILABLE TO BUILD NEW CARS THEN THERE SHOULD BE AIRBAGS AVAILABLE TO REPLACE THE ONES THAT ARE DEFECTIVE. CUSTOMERS SHOULD NOT BE LEFT WAITING A YEAR AND A HALF AND COUNTING TO HAVE A SAFE VEHICLE. IN ITS CURRENT STATE VEHICLES WITH THE DEFECTIVE AIRBAGS WOULD NOT PASS THE GOVERNMENT SAFETY STANDARDS THAT ARE REQUIRED BEFORE A VEHICLE CAN BE ON THE ROAD.

REMEDY OWNERS WILL BE NOTIFIED BY MAIL AND INSTRUCTED TO TAKE THEIR VEHICLE TO A FORD OR LINCOLN DEALER TO HAVE THEIR PASSENGER FRONTAL AIRBAG INFLATOR REPLACED. I MADE A PANIC STOP TO AVOID HITTING A PEDESTRIAN. THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM WAS ACTIVATED WITH THIS STOP. THE CAR STOPPED CORRECTLY. I ARRIVED AT THE NEXT INTERSECTION TO STOP AND THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR. I ROLLED THROUGH THE INTERSECTION AND WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER. I PUMPED THE BRAKE PEDAL FOR TEN MINUTES BEFORE NORMAL BRAKE PEDAL PRESSURE WAS ACHIEVED. THE CAR WAS LATER CHECKED OUT FOR THE LOW PEDAL AND IT WAS DETERMINED TO HAVE A DEFECTIVE ABS MODULE/UNIT. I AM DRIVING THE VEHICLE WITH THE ABS FUSE REMOVED TO AVOID THIS FROM OCCURRING AGAIN UNTIL THE REPLACEMENT OF THE ABS UNIT IS MADE. THIS MUST BE RECALLED BY FORD MOTOR COMPANY BEFORE A FATALITY OCCURS.
HAVE CONTACTED FORD OF MURFREESBORO ON SEVERAL OCCASSIONS. THEY STATE THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE REPLACEMENT AIRBAGS, AND THAT IT IS AGAINST THE LAW TO DISABLE THE CURRENT AIRBAG. THIS RECALL WAS DATED JUNE 2017. IT IS NOW NOVEMBER 2017. YOU WOULD THINK THAT FORD COMPANY WOULD BE ABLE TO ENGINEER THEIR OWN REPLACEMENT AIRBAG IN 17 MONTHS.

TAKATA RECALL. I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FROM FORD IN THE MAIL MARCH 2017. CALLED MARCH 10,2017 NEAREST DEALER, I WAS INFORMED THAT I HAD TO WAIT FOR THE SECOND LETTER THAT WILL INFORM ME THAT THE PARTS ARE. IT'S BEEN 8 MONTHS, NO SECOND LETTER, BUT RECEIVED A LEGAL NOTICE FROM TK HOLDINGS ABOUT THE AIRBAG AND CHAPTER 11 CASE NO. 17-11375. CALLED DEALER AGAIN, WAS INFORMED THEY CAN'T HELP ME, BECAUSE NO PARTS. I AM STILL DRIVING MY CAR WITH A DEFECTED AIRBAG. SEEMS TO ME IT IS VERY UNSAFE.

I CALLED TWO FORD DEALERSHIPS TODAY (11/1/2017), BOTH STATED THAT THEY HAVE RECEIVED NO INFORMATION FROM FORD AS TO WHAT THEY ARE TO DO, NO PARTS AVAILABLE & TO CALL BACK IN "A FEW WEEKS".

AFTER RECEIVING NOTICE OF RECALL IN MARCH, 2017 ON A 2007 FORD FUSION, NO OTHER NOTICE OF SERVICE OR REQUIRED ACTION WAS GIVEN UNTIL LEGAL NOTICE OF TAKATA CHAPTER 11 BANKRUPTCY WAS SENT. STILL WAITING FOR RECOVERY FOR REPAIR OF FAULTY PARTS. RISK OF INJURY IS THE REASON FOR THE COMPLAINT; THE RISK OF INJURY ISN'T BEING COMPENSATED IN ANY WAY WAITING FOR PROPER REPAIRS.
TAKATA RECALL RECEIVED A POST CARD FROM TK HOLDINGS REGARDING A TAKATA AIRBAG RECALL. WE CHECKED AIRBAGRECALL.COM AND FOUND THAT OUR FORD FUSION 2007 WAS INCLUDED IN THAT RECALL. WE WERE ADVISED TO CALL THE LOCAL FORD DEALER TO HAVE THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG REPLACED IMMEDIATELY. SEXTON FORD IN MOLINE WAS VERY RUDE AND THE ONLY INFORMATION THEY WOULD GIVE US WAS THAT THERE ARE NO PARTS AVAILABLE TO FIX THIS. HOW CAN THERE NOT BE ANY PARTS AVAILABLE FOR A RECALL THAT, IF NOT FIXED, MAY RESULT IN DEATH? NOW WE ARE UNABLE TO UTILIZE THE PASSENGER SEAT OF OUR CAR UNTIL THE AIRBAG IS REPLACED.
I RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OVER ONE YEAR AGO (JULY 2016 LETTER FROM FORD) THAT MY 2007 FORD FUSION AIRBAG HAD BEEN RECALLED BY THE MANUFACTURER. I PATIENTLY WAITED TO RECEIVE A LETTER INDICATING THAT I COULD TAKE MY VEHICLE IN FOR A REPLACEMENT AIRBAG. UPON CONTACTING THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP NUMEROUS TIMES, THE DEALERSHIP ALSO REPEATEDLY INFORMED ME THAT THEY COULD NOT MAKE THE REPAIR/REPLACEMENT UNTIL A LETTER WAS RECEIVED BY FORD APPROVING THE REPLACEMENT. YESTERDAY I RECEIVED NOTIFICATION THAT THE MANUFACTURER, TK HOLDLINGS INC, IS IN THE PROCESS OF FILING CHAPTER 11. UPON RESEARCHING WITH THE INFORMATION PROVIDED ON THE CHAPTER 11 NOTICE AND FORD LETTER, THE ONLY UPDATED INFORMATION I CAN FIND (OTHER THAN MY CAR IS ONE ON THE RECALL LIST FOR AN AIRBAG) IS FROM WWW.SAFTERCAR.GOV IN WHICH THE SITE STATES, "RECALL STATUS: RECALL INCOMPLETE, REMEDY NOT YET AVAILABLE." FROM WHAT I UNDERSTAND THE AIRBAG WHEN DEPLOYED CAN CAUSE INJURY AND POSSIBLE DEATH. THIS MATTER IS OVER A YEAR OLD AND I USE MY VEHICLE FOR BUSINESS PURPOSES. EVERY DAY THAT I GET INTO MY VEHICLE, I FEEL LIKE I AM DRIVING A LOADED GUN AND AM VERY CONCERNED FOR MY SAFETY AND SPECIFICALLY ANY PASSENGER THAT RIDES WITH ME (IT IS THE PASSENGER AIRBAG THAT IS BEING RECALLED). THIS PROCESS IS NOT BEING HANDLED IN A TIMELY MATTER AND WOULD I LIKE TO IT EXPEDITED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A POSTCARD FROM TK HOLDINGS, ALERTING HER THAT THEY FILED FOR BANKRUPTCY. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. TAKAT RECALL, HAVE MADE SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO HAVE AIRBAGS REPLACED ONLY TO BE TOLD OVER AND OVER BY THE DEALER THAT THEY HAVE NOTHING IN STOCK.
DOOR HANDLES AND LOCKS ARE NOT FUNCTIONING PROPERLY. PASSENGER FRONT DOOR HANDLE (AND SOMETIMES THE DRIVER DOOR) DOES NOT OPEN FROM THE INSIDE, POSING A SAFETY CONCERN. IF CAR WAS TO CATCH ON FIRE, PASSENGER WOULD HAVE TO ROLL DOWN WINDOW TO EXIT THE VEHICLE. ALSO SOME DOORS LOCK AND SOME DO NOT. NOT A SAFTEY CONCERN, BUT CERTAINLY AN ISSUE. MY SON HAD A 2006 FORD FUSION THAT DID THE SAME EXACT THING AS I NOTED ABOVE, THEREFORE, IS AN ISSUE WITH THESE FORD FUSIONS.
TAKATA RECALL. BEEN DEALING WITH THIS SINCE JULY 2016. MY CAR HAS BEEN IMPACTED BY THIS RECALL. I HAVE CALLED SEVERAL DIFFERENT FORD SERVICE DEPARTMENTS MANY TIMES TRYING TO GET THIS FIXED. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THIS AIRBAG CAN DEPLOY AT ANY TIME. I HAVE A 5 YEAR OLD IN A CAR SEAT THAT I AM CONCERNED ABOUT!!!. I KEEP GETTING THE RUN AROUND REGARDING REPAIRING THIS PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS IS DANGEROUS AND FORD NEEDS TO FIX THIS ISSUE BEFORE SOMEONE GETS HURT OR WORSE!!!

THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED SEVERAL TIMES AND WAS UNABLE TO CONFIRM WHEN THE PARTS WERE TO BECOME AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A POSTCARD FROM TK HOLDINGS, ALERTING HER THAT THEY FILED FOR BANKRUPTCY. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
TAKATA RECALL FOR AIRBAGS WAS ANNOUNCED MANY MONTHS AGO. I WAS TOLD I WOULD BE GETTING A NOTICE FROM MY DEALER ABOUT GETTING REPLACEMENTS. THAT'S NEVER HAPPENED, EVEN THOUGH I HAVE FOLLOWED UP WHEN I HAVE BEEN AT THE DEALER (FRANCOIS FORD, BELLEVILLE, WI) FOR MAINTENANCE. THE DEALER SAYS THE PARTS ARE BACK ORDERED AND I WILL GET NOTICE. NOW I GOT NOTICE OF TK HOLDINGS INC. FILING CHAPTER 11 BANKRUPTCY. I FOLLOWED UP WITH THE DEALER, AGAIN, TODAY, BUT STILL NO PARTS. THIS IS MY COMPLAINT THAT A SERIOUS DEFECT HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED, WHICH IT APPEARS IS PUTTING ME AT RISK IN THE VEHICLE I RELY ON DAILY TO GET TO WORK, ETC. I WANT THE PROBLEM FIXED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, AND HOLD THE MANUFACTURER AS RESPONSIBLE FOR RESOLUTION AS MUCH AS THE COMPANY THAT MADE THE DEFECTIVE AIRBAGS. HOW DO I MAKE THIS HAPPEN BEFORE SOME UNFORTUNATE OUTCOME OCCURS FROM ACTIVATING THE AIRBAGS?

THE ABS HCU VALVES IN MY 2007 FORD FUSION HAVE BECOME STUCK CAUSING THE BRAKES TO BECOME VERY "SPONGY" AND DRAMATICALLY INCREASE THE STOPPING DISTANCE OF MY VEHICLE. AFTER SOME RESEARCH, IT IS CLEAR THIS IS A VERY COMMON, DANGEROUS, AND COSTLY ISSUE THAT FORD WILL NOT STAND BEHIND.
