THE LOCAL DEALER SUNSHINE FORD LOCATED AT 40 RT-17K NEWBURGH, NY 12550 WAS CONTACTED AND CONFIRMED THAT THE PART WAS NOT YET AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER HAD EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BRAKE PEDAL TRAVELED TO THE FLOORBOARD WHEN THE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. THE CONTACT HAD TO PUMP THE BRAKE PEDAL SEVERAL TIMES IN ORDER FOR THEM TO ACTIVATE AND STOP THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A CERTIFIED MECHANIC WHO REFERRED THE CONTACT TO A DEALER TO HAVE THE ABS MODULE REPROGRAMMED AND THE BRAKES FLUSHED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO MIRACLE FORD (LOCATED AT 1394 NASHVILLE PIKE, GALLATIN, TN 37066, 615-452-5267) WHERE THE ABS WAS FLUSHED AND THE REAR BRAKES WERE REPLACED, BUT THE FAILURE CONTINUED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT AND THE OUTER TIE ROD END NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES AND OPENED CASE NUMBER: CAS-25105839. THE CONTACT WAS REFERRED TO NHTSA TO FILE A COMPLAINT. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 115,000.
ON THE AFTERNOON OF NOVEMBER 16, 2019, I WAS TRAVELLING THROUGH A SUBURB OF PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA. THE ROAD IS A 4 LANE ROAD, TWO IN EACH DIRECTION. IT IS HEAVILY TRAFFICKED. I WAS TRAVELLING IN THE LEFT HAND LANE HEADING WESTBOUND. TRAFFIC TO THE RIGHT WAS COMING TO A STOP, AS A CAR WAS STOPPED IN THE LANE WITH IT'S FOUR-WAY FLASHERS ON. THE LEFT HAND LANE WAS SLOWING TO A STOP AS A CAR WAS ATTEMPTING TO MAKE A LEFT HAND TURN ACROSS TRAFFIC. I ATTEMPTED TO COME TO STOP. MY CAR BEGAN SHAKING AND I HAD USE BOTH FEET TO HOLD THE BREAK DOWN. AT THE TIME, I DIDN'T THINK ANYTHING OF IT AND ASSUMED IT WAS BECAUSE MY CAR WAS GETTING OLD. MY CAR DID NOT STOP, DESPITE MY BEST EFFORTS. AT A LOW RATE OF SPEED, I REAR-ENDED THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME WHICH THEN HIT THE CAR IN FRONT OF THEM - THE ONE ATTEMPTING TO MAKE A LEFT HAND TURN ACROSS TRAFFIC. THERE WAS MINIMAL DAMAGE ON ALL CARS INVOLVED. A MONTH TO TWO MONTHS LATER, I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM FORD INDICATING THAT THERE WAS A RECALL ON MY ANTI-LOCK BREAK SYSTEM AND THAT I WOULD BE NOTIFIED WHEN THE PARTS BECAME AVAILABLE AT MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP. AS THE INSURANCE CLAIM PROGRESSES, I WAS ADVISED BY MY ADJUSTER THAT I SHOULD REPORT THIS ACCIDENT TO NHTSA.
TL THE CONTACT'S GRANDCHILD, AUSTIN LUCAS, OWNS A 2009 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, THE DRIVER SLAMMED ON THE BRAKE PEDAL AND IT TRAVELED TO THE FLOORBOARD. AS A RESULT, THE DRIVER CRASHED INTO AN UNKNOWN ANIMAL. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DAMAGED AND WAS DRIVEN BACK TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TEST DROVE THE VEHICLE AND DETERMINED THAT THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 153,000.
HIT A MEDIUM SIZED BUMP ON A CITY STREET WHILE PROCEEDING THROUGH SAID STREET, BRAKES THEN PROCEEDED TO NOT WORK PROPERLY WITH PEDAL PRESSING ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR. PROCEEDED TO PUMP BRAKES UNTIL ENOUGH BRAKING FORCE REQUIRED TO STOP AT INTENDED POINT. BRAKES RETURNED AFTER A COUPLE MILES. AVOIDING BUMPS WHEN POSSIBLE NOW BECAUSE LAST TIME I CHECKED. NEED BRAKES TO STOP AND NOT GET INTO AN ACCIDENT ULTIMATELY RESULTING IN THE POSSIBLE DEATH OR HARM TO OTHER PEOPLE.
TOOK VEHICLE TO BE REPAIRED FOR PREVIOUS AIRBAG ISSUES AND THE LIGHT HAS COME BACK ON WHILE DRIVING ON A CITY STREET IN ROCKPORT, TEXAS AND NEVER WENT BACK OFF.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE REMEDY WOULD BE AVAILABLE IN THE FIRST QUARTER OF 2020 HOWEVER, AFTER SPEAKING WITH THEM AGAIN, THE MANUFACTURER CONFIRMED THE REMEDY WAS STILL NOT AVAILABLE AS OF AUGUST, OF 2020. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING DOWN A DECLINE IT BECAME DIFFICULT TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE APPLYING THE BRAKES, AN EXCESSIVE AMOUNT OF PRESSURE WAS NEEDED TO PUMP THE BRAKES AFTER COMING TO A STOP, TO REGAIN BRAKING POWER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ROTORS IN THE REAR AND FRONT OF THE VEHICLE, AS WELL AS THE BRAKE PADS WERE REPLACED AT THE SAME DEALER HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 98,000. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
THE BREAK PEDAL WILL TRAVEL 2/3 OF THE WAY TO THE FLOOR BEFORE THE CAR BEGINS TO SLOW DOWN OR STOP. I CAN NEVER TELL IF THE CAR IS GOING TO STOP OR NOT.
WHILE I WAS DRIVING I BRAKED ON A CITY STREET TO SLOW DOWN TO TURN RIGHT. WHILE BRAKING AND BEGINNING TO TURN, I RAN OVER SMALL POTHOLES. BRAKES BECAME MUSHY AND I HAD TO PUSH BRAKE ALL THE WAY DOWN JUST TO STOP. THIS HAS HAPPENED MANY TIMES. IN THE PAST, AFTER PARKING THE CAR FOR AWHILE, THE BRAKES WENT BACK TO NORMAL. HOWEVER, THIS MOST RECENT INCIDENT HAPPENED 4 DAYS AGO AND THEY BRAKES HAVEN'T GONE BACK TO NORMAL.
ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, AFTER ABS HAS ENGAGED DURING BRAKING, THE BRAKE PEDAL HAS GONE SOFT, NEARLY TO THE FLOOR. REQUIRED BRAKING DISTANCE IS GREATLY INCREASED, AS IS THE AMOUNT OF FOOT PRESSURE NEEDED TO BRING THE VEHICLE TO A STOP. THIS HAS HAPPENED WHILE BRAKING IN SNOWY CONDITIONS, AND ALSO WHEN HITTING A POTHOLE WHILE BRAKING. ALL INSTANCES OCCURRED UNDER 30 MPH. THIS PROBLEM HAS NOT OCCURRED DURING HEAVY BRAKING UNDER NORMAL OPERATING CONDITIONS, ONLY WHEN THE ABS SYSTEM IS ACTIVATED. NO BRAKE WARNING LIGHTS HAVE TURNED ON. FOR REFERENCE, THE LATEST INCIDENT HAPPENED SIX MONTHS AFTER REPLACING ALL PADS, ALL ROTORS AND BOTH FRONT CALIPERS.
ANTI LOCK BRAKES ACTIVATED THEN ALMOST NO BRAKE ACTION. THE PEDAL WENT ALMOST TO THE FLOOR CAUSING THE BRAKING DISTANCE TO ALMOST DOUBLE. CAME VERY CLOSE TO HITTING CARS WITH THE GREEN LIGHT.
HARD STOP ON FREEWAY RESULTING IN ABS ACTIVATING. AFTERWARDS, BRAKES WERE SPONGY AND REQUIRED EXCEPTIONALLY MORE DISTANCE TO BRAKE AND PEDAL NEEDED TO BE DEPRESSED TO THE INTERIOR FLOOR IN ORDER TO STOP. THIS IS THE THIRD TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED WITH THE VEHICLE.
AFTER ENGAGEMENT OF ABS SYSTEM, BRAKES BECOME SOFT AND WEAK. THIS REQUIRES GREATER PEDAL PRESSURE AND TRAVEL, AND THUS REACTION TIME TO ENGAGE, RESULTING IN UNSAFE CONDITION.
MY ABS ENGAGED WHILE DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE AND I HAD TO SLAM ON MY BRAKES IN A HEAVY DOWNPOUR. IMMEDIATELY AFTER THAT, FOR THE LAST 9 DAYS AND COUNTING, MY BRAKES HAVE BEEN SOFT/SQUISHY. I CAN FEEL THEM START TO ENGAGE AT THEIR OLD POINT BUT THERE ISN'T MUCH PRESSURE UNTIL I GET MUCH CLOSER TO BOTTOMING OUT THE BRAKE PEDAL. FROM WHAT I'VE READ ONLINE, THIS WAS SOMETHING BEING LOOKED INTO A FEW YEARS BACK AS A COMMON FAILURE.
CAR STALLS WHILE DRIVING AND EVERYTIME I DO A COMPLETE STOP, I'VE BEEN LOOKING ONLINE FOR A SOLUTION TO FIX MY CAR AND IT LOOKS LIKE A LOT OF PEOPLE HAS THE SAME ISSUE AND NOBODY HAS A EXACT SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM I ALREADY REPLACED THE THROTTLE BODY AND EGR VALVE BUT IT STILL STALLING.

THE VEHCILE WAS EXAMINED BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO INDICATED THAT THE BRAKE VALVE WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE LOCAL DEALER HEMPSTEAD FORD LOCATED AT 301 N. FRANKLIN ST, HEMPSTEAD, NY 11550 AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V904000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC) HOWEVER, THE PART TO DO THE RECALL REPAIR WAS NOT YET AVAILALBE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000.
I WAS MOVING ABOUT 40MPH GOING STRAIGHT AND WHEN I HIT THE BRAKES TO TURN THEY WENT TO THE FLOOR APPLYING NO BRAKING ACTION AT ALL. I WAS LUCKY THAT I WAS GOING STRAIGHT ON A COUNTRY ROAD WITH NO TRAFFIC OR THIS COULD HAVE BEEN CATASTROPHIC. THERE ARE NO BRAKE FLUID LEAKS, PADS HAVE MAYBE 15,000 MILES ON THEM AND ARE GOOD. THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED IN THE CAR. SEVERAL MONTHS BACK AFTER THE ABS WAS ACTIVATED THE BRAKES GOT SOFT AND RESET AFTER THE CAR WAS SHUT OFF AND SAT FOR A WHILE. THERE WERE LITERALLY NO BRAKES WHATSOEVER TODAY. AFTER LETTING THE CAR SIT FOR A WHILE TURNED OFF THE BRAKES ARE BACK, BUT THE PEDAL IS STILL SOFT AND I DON'T WANT TO TEST DRIVE THE CAR AS IT IS TOO DANGEROUS. THIS APPEARS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM FROM LOOKING AT VARIOUS WEB PAGES THAT SHOULD BE ADDRESSED ASAP.

THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 173,000.
HEARD ABOUT A RECALL ON SOME FORD VEHICLES OVER COOLANT LEAK I THINK MY VEHICLE SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THAT MY VEHICLE IS LEAKING COOLANT BUT I CAN'T TELL WHERE I HAVE AN 09 FORD FUSION 2.3 LI I 4 CYL. SE MODEL. VEHICLE LEAKS WHEN RUNNING OF VEHICLE IS OFF.
TAKATA RECALL. VEHICLE STATIONARY ON JANUARY 18, 2019 THE PASSENGER AIR BAG INFLATOR WAS REPLACED UNDER THE 18S01 RECALL, FORD PART NUMBER 8E5Z 54044A74 AD. ON SEPTEMBER 10, 2019 BROUGHT CAR INTO LOCAL QUIRK FORD DEALERSHIP FOR SERVICE BECAUSE AIR BAG COVER WAS NO LONGER WAS FLUSH TO THE DASHBOARD. FORD SERVICE SAID PROBLEM WAS DUE TO "WORN DASHBOARD" AND NOT COVERED UNDER RECALL. SEE FIRST ATTACHED PICTURE. CALLED FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE ON SEPT 11, 2019 WAS TOLD PROBLEM WAS NOT COVERED UNDER ANY RECALLS OR ANY WARRANTIES, CASE NUMBER CAS-24226208-S8R0V4. MY CONCERN IS THAT BY HAVING AN OPEN CORNER (SEE SECOND ATTACHED PICTURE) FOREIGN OBJECTS COULD ACCIDENTALLY FALL INTO THIS SPACE WITHOUT THE DRIVERS KNOWLEDGE (IE. A PENNY, DIME, ETC) AND IF THE AIR BAG DEPLOYED A SERIOUS INJURY COULD OCCUR. SPECIFICALLY, FOREIGN OBJECTS COULD BECOME AIR BORNE WHEN AIR BAG DEPLOYED. A SMALL PIECE OF METAL LIKE A PENNY OR DIME COULD CAUSE FATAL DAMAGE TO THE PASSENGERS IN THE CAR IF AIR BAG DEPLOYED. NOT SURE IF THIS SHOULD BE COVERED UNDER THE ORIGINAL TAKATA RECALL OR IF ANOTHER RECALL SHOULD BE ISSUED. IN ANY CASE I BELIEVE THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE WHICH SHOULD BE BROUGHT TO YOUR ATTENTION.
WAS SLOWLY PULLING FWD TO PARK IN PARKING SPACE AND WHEN PUT FOOT ON BRAKE TO STOP, IT KEPT GOING. CAR WENT OVER THE CEMENT PARKING BLOCK ONTO SIDEWALK AND HIT HEAVY DUTY CEMENT PILLAR. ONLY DAMAGE WAS MY LICENSE PLATE AND HOPEFULLY LITTLE ELSE ON MY CAR.

THE CONTACT RECENTLY RECEIVED ANOTHER NOTIFICATION THAT THE PART FOR THE RECALL WAS AVAILABLE. THEODORE ROBINS FORD (2060 HARBOR BLVD, COSTA MESA, CA 92627, (949) 642-0010) WAS CONTACTED AND AN APPOINTMENT WAS MADE TO HAVE THE VEHICLE SERVICED. A FEW HOURS LATER, THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED BY THE DEALER THAT THE RECALL COULD NOT BE REPAIRED SINCE THE ABS WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 43,500. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
I PULLED INTO THE MEDIAN TO TURN LEFT INTO A BUSINESS. AS MY CAR TRAVELED OVER SOME GRAVEL IN THE MEDIAN MY BRAKES WENT "SOFT" AND I HAD TO MASH DOWN ON THEM IN ORDER TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP. ONCE PARKED, I LET THE CAR "SIT" OR "REST" FOR 4 HOURS. THE BRAKES WERE STILL SOFT WHEN I STARTED THE CAR, AND WHEN I WOULD PRESS THE BRAKES, I HAD TO MASH DOWN ON THEM TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP.
FORD AIR BAG RECALL. FORD UNABLE TO REPAIR IN A REASONABLE TIME. AFTER YEARS OF EARNING TO REPLACE THE AIRBAGS AND NOTING NONE WERE AVAILABLE, I RECEIVED NOTICE FROM MY STATE DMV TO HAVE THE AIR BAGS REPLACED. I CALLED FORD TO SETUP AN APPOINTMENT AND THEY DON'T HAVE ANYTIME TO DO THE WORK UNTIL 1 OCTOBER. I CONSIDER THE YEARS OF WAIT AND THEN REQUESTING AN ADDITIONAL 6 WEEKS NOTICE TO MAKE THE REPLACEMENT UNREASONABLE.
ON AUG 8, 2019 MY RIGHT FRONT WHEEL CROSSED OVER A DIP IN THE ROAD WHILE MAKING A RIGHT TURN. I PRESSED MY BRAKE AND ALMOST IMMEDIATELY I HAD AN 'EMPTY' FEELING IN MY BRAKE PEDAL. I COULD PRESS THE BRAKE PADDLE COMPLETELY DOWN WITHOUT MUCH RESISTANCE. HAD MY ROTORS AND BRAKE PADS CHECKED NEXT DAY BUT ALL 100%. LEARNED THAT THE HYDROLIC CONTROL UNIT (HCU) UNIT WAS AFFECTED. A KNOWN FORD FUSION FAILURE AND COSTLY TO REPLACE!!! RECALL FORD!!!
Buying the 2009 Fusion understanding the power steering was faulty, thinking a good tune up and general fluids replaced would handle the problem. However this was not the case. Fusion needed rack n pinion and power steering pump. I can not drive the vehicle due to this issue(s) Their was a terrible bad accident and the vehicle is now salvaged title. This is now second time rack n pinion out and I will harm others and myself as I can not make turns. I am extremely disappointed with Ford MFG and will seek all monetary claims for not backing up their vehicles. Ashamed and less than is my thoughts on Ford Fusions!

SERVICE BRAKES GOES TO THE FLOOR UPON NORMAL BRAKING CAUSING A SEVERE SAFETY ISSUE
ABS SYSTEM ENGAGED ON A GRAVEL ROAD WHEN BRAKING. BRAKES ARE NOW SOFT AFTER ABS SYSTEM ENGAGED. LIKE SO MANY OTHER FUSION OWNERS, THIS IS A HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT MALFUNCTION.
SPONGY BRAKE PEDAL, BRAKES SEEM TO START TO GRAB THEN PEDAL GOES STRAIGHT TO THE FLOOR. HAPPENS ALL THE TIME AND I'M SCARED THAT THIS WILL CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. CAR HAS 93K MILES. WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER FORD
BRAKE FAILURE, WHILE DRIVING MY WIFE'S 09 FUSION THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR WHEN STOPPING AND HITTING A POT HOLE. THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT ALL THE WAY TO FLOOR BEFORE BEING ABLE TO SLOW THE VEH. THE BRAKE PEDAL DID NOT RETURN TO NORMAL UNTIL A COUPLE DAYS LATER. MY WIFE USES HAND CONTROLS WHICH DID NOT AFFECT THE DRIVING IN ANY WAY BUT HAS ME CONCERNED AS MY WIFE IS IN A WHEELCHAIR AND CAN'T PUT EXCESSIVE FORCE ON THE BRAKES IF THEY WERE TO FAIL LIKE THAT. I TRIED PUMPING THE BRAKES BUT IT DIDN'T RESOLVE THE ISSUE, NOR DID PUMPING THE BRAKES WHILE THE VEH WAS TURNED OFF.
WHEN I HIT THE BRAKES I HAVE TO GO ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR BEFORE THEY START WORKING. THIS HAPPEN ONCE DURING WINTER WHEN I WENT OVER A SPEED BUMP AND AFTER A WEEK OR SO IT FIXED ITSELF. BUT SEVERAL WEEKS AGO AS I WAS BRAKING AT A LIGHT I HIT A POTHOLE AND IT HAS DONE IT AGAIN AND HAS NOT REPAIRED ITSELF. I READ ONLINE THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM THIS TYPE OF CAR FACES WITH THE ABS SYSTEM.
ISSUE HAS OCCURRED MULTIPLE TIMES SINCE I HAVE OWNED THIS VEHICLE TO NOW. WHENEVER THE ABS SYSTEM ENGAGES (HARD BRAKING TO DUE SNOW/ICE OR OBSTRUCTION AVOIDANCE), IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THAT THE BRAKE PEDAL BECOMES INCREDIBLY SPONGY OR NON-EXISTENT AND BRAKING BECOMES VERY DIFFICULT WITHOUT PUMPING THE BRAKE PEDAL OR ENGAGING THE HAND BRAKE. I'VE HAD THE PADS, ROTORS, REAR CALIPERS, AND SLIDE PINS REPLACED AND THE SYSTEM FLUSHED AND INSPECTED MULTIPLE TIMES. I HAVE FOUND THAT IF YOU PULL OVER ANS SHUT THE CAR OFF FOR A FEW MINUTES AND RESTART IT TENDS TO WORK UNTIL YOU HAVE THE SAME ISSUE COME UP. .

BREAK PEDAL BECOMES SPONGY AFTER HITTING A POTHOLE. CURRENTLY AT THE DEALERSHIP THEY ARE TRYING TO REPLACE THE MASTER BREAK CYLINDER, BUT THAT DIDN'T WORK. THE NEXT MOVE IS TO REPLACE THE MCU. I HAVE READ MULTIPLE SIMILAR REPORTS HERE TO MINE. I'M VERY CONCERNED THIS IS A FACTORY DEFECT THAT IS REVEALING ITSELF TO BE DANGEROUS AND COSTLY TO FORD CONSUMERS.

The vehicle was taken to the independent mechanic who diagnosed that the HCU had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who confirmed the independent mechanic's diagnostic result. WHEN I RETURNED TO THE MECHANIC, HE LOOKED OVER THE AIR AND STATED THERE WAS NOTHING ELSE WRONG WITH IT. FINALLY I WENT TO DUNPHY FORD WHERE THE GREETER STAYED HE ALREADY KNEW WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS BEFORE I FINISHED EXPLAINING THE COMPLETE ISSUE. HE ASSURED ME IT WAS THE HCU (WHICH OF COURSE WAS ALMOST $1000 TO REPLACE) SO I HAD IT REPLACED. AFTER PICKING UP THE CAR IT FELT FINE FOR THE FIRST TWO DAYS. THE. THE ISSUE STARTED HAPPENING AGAIN. WHEN I RETURNED THE CAR TO FORD, THEY TOLD ME IT WAS THE REAR ROTORS. I ASKED HOW COULD THEY MISS THAT WHEN THEY REPLACED THE HCU, THERE WAS NO ANSWER. THE ROTORS WERE REPLACED. THAT NIGHT I WENT TO PICK UP MY CAR. AFTER DRIVING OFF, MY BRAKES NOW MADE A VERY LOUD SQUEALING SOUND AND SORT OF CLANKING SOUND EVERY TIME I HIT A SMALL BUMP ON THE ROAD COMING FROM THE RIGHT SIDE OF MY CAR. I HAD EXPLAINED SEVERAL TIMES THAT WHEN THE VEHICLE WOULD BE IN MOTION (DRIVING THE CAR) AND I WOULD BE PASSING THROUGH A ROUGH SECTION OF STREET (MANY POT-HOLES) AND WOULD NEED TO BRAKE DUE TO TRAFFIC, AND THEN I WOULD LOSE PRESSURE ON MY BRAKING-PEDAL. I WAS TRYING TO STOP AT A STOP SIGN, BEFORE TURNING ON TO A BUSY MAJOR HIGHWAY AND MY BRAKES AGAIN WENT TO THE FLOOR. THE SIDE ROAD I WAS STOPPING ON WAS ROUGH (IT HAD BEEN SCRAPPED TO PREPARE FOR BLACKTOPPING).THIS HAPPENED TWICE WITHIN A FEW WEEKS.THE RESULTS COULD HAVE BEEN DEADLY. THIS HAS HAPPENED THREE TIMES! THE OWNER NAME IS SAM. I ADDED THE VEHICLE TO MY EXISTING INSURANCE WITH WINDHAVEN. WE RETURNED THE VEHICLE A FEW WEEKS AFTER PURCHASING DUE TO THE BRAKES NOT WORKING PROPERLY. THE DEALERSHIP MADE SOME ADJUSTMENTS AND TOLD US IT WAS FINE. BUT I CONTINUE TO COMPLAINED AFTER THEY MADE ADJUSTMENT BECAUSE IT STILL DID NOT WORK RIGHT FOR ME, BUT THE OWNER DID NOT WANT TO HELP US ANY FURTHER. ON APRIL 10, 2019, THE CAR WAS TOTALED WHEN MY SON LOST CONTROL OF THE CAR DRIVING INTO OUR COMMUNITY WALL. WE REPORTED THE ACCIDENT TO WINDHAVEN INSURANCE; THEY OPENED THE CLAIM BUT WE HEARD NOTHING ELSE ABOUT IT. THEY DID PAY FOR THE WALL REPAIR IN OUR COMMUNITY. AFTER MAKING NUMEROUS CONTACT WITH THE FIGA, I WAS TOLD MY INSURANCE WAS CANCELLED BECAUSE WINDHAVEN WENT OUT OF BUSINESS; AND I HAD TO SEND AN EMAIL TO REQUEST MY CLAIM BE REOPENED AND INVESTIGATED WITH THIS NEW (RECALL) INFORMATION. I ALSO CONTACTED FORD MANUFACTURER ABOUT THE RECALL AND THE BRAKES PROBLEMS THAT LED TO THE ACCIDENT.
