The braking system failed. Yes it’s available upon request for inspection. The safety of myself and others were put at risk because it caused me to hit something in front of me. I stepped on the brakes and the pedal went straight to the floor. This has happened multiple times it is putting my safety as well as my children’s safety at risk. When I step on the brake pedal there is nothing goes to the floor till I pump the pedal. Initial Lu when hitting the pedal it jerks the steering wheel out of my hand to the right every time. It’s not only putting my children’s, and my self in harms way but any other driver that might be even near me while driving considering it takes the steering wheel out of my hand uncontrollably.
Power steering stopped working while I was driving.

Power steering failure. Was taken to a dealership for recall repairs even after recall repairs were made I still had intermittent power steering failure. Called the dealership to fix it again but they refused to fix it due to recall being over 5 years old even though recall repairs were made 2 years prior. Now power steering fault won't go away and the dealership wants a me to pay $2,000 to fix it. Luckily I was parked when power steering went out.
Power steering assistance fault occurring for several years. Dealership said that Ford would not cover repairs unless they could recreate the failure while they had it in their possession and could hook the car up to the computer. This most recent issue did not clear after restarting the vehicle several times as it had before. Lost power steering and took it to the dealership. On the way, service avancetrak error came up as well. Dealership reported the steering gear needed replaced and this car would have been covered under a warranty extension if we would have brought it in before 10 years. Ford claims that they are unable to extend any further and that nhtsa will not allow them to help cover after this 10 year period. Nhtsa claims that is false, and all i can do is file a complaint here that goes to a different part of their organization that does not have a phone number, and work with the manufacturer and FTC for warranty extension. Never received any notices for this warranty extension that should be a recall.
My power steering suddenly just went out while I was driving did not return
Brake pedal intermittantly sinks to floor; vehicle will stop but braking distance is substantially increased. No brake warning light comes on. Vehicle brought to dealer in November 2022 but dealer could not reproduce issue. Problem re-occured in January 2023; vehicle was towed to dealer. Again, dealer could not reproduce issue because it is very intermittant. At my insistance, and as a customer-pay repair, dealer replaced ABS HCU (hydraulic control unit) and ABS electronic control module. Note that there is a recall on older Fusion models for HCU failure but not 2012 model.
Power steering failed on the road nearly causing an accident. My own research concluded that a recall number had been issued by Ford/NHTSA (15S18) but I am told by Ford Motor company (and the dealer Ft Mill (SC)Ford) that the recall has expired and that no reimbursement for my costs in getting the rack and pinion steering unit replaced on my car ($2100) will be granted. I don't understand this. My understanding is that "safety" recalls don't expire. I would think that power steering failure is a safety issue. I certainly can't pass NC state inspection, with this issue. I opened an inquiry with the Ford Motor Company. Your assistance is appreciated.
Power Steering Gear , no had it fixed at ford diagnostic code P07AE . Was driving on the freeway power steering went out and car jerked wheel all the way to right almost hit guardrail with 5 yr old daughter in car. Yes . yes. No.
Power steering light came on as Service Power steering. Steering is very hard to do.
The stainless steel coverings on the wheel lug nuts swells up and BJ's tire center in Fairfax, Va. has a box full of the defective parts. If I had a needed tire repair on the highway, I would not have been able to change tire because lugs were swollen and mishapen and wrench would not fit. Koon's Ford in Sterling, Va. was notified and I was given a contact number to Ford mfg. Ford refused me and are not standing by their product. I had taken vehicle in for tire rotation and balance on 1/5/2023 and ended up buying new lugs all around for 140.00.
I was driving and my steering wheel locked up with me and my kids in the car I googled what the problem is and this is a constant problem for these fords I contacted the dealership and they are not trying to help me my car is 14 miles over the mileage and a year over the time frame for them to replace this part on my car she stated it had been taken care of in 2015 but the last letter for the customer satisfaction program was sent out in may 2019 I am not the first person to own this car and the fact that Rk chevrolet sold me a car with this issue is a concern and a lawsuit because I had my children with me and they aren’t trying to help me replace a 3000 dollar part that has been an issue for many owners of this car

My braking has not been correct. The brake pedal goes, almost to the floor, unless I pump the pedal. It has put me in scary situations when I have to hit the pedal hard. When I hit the pedal hard, it starts to stop, then goes down to the floor. The pedal is very spongy most of the time, with little reaction when you put your foot on it. At a higher rate of speed, you cannot slow down fast. Advise me my next course of action please

The lug nut issue that has been creating issues with Ford vehicles. They swell and can’t be removed to change a tire. Something has to be done!
Had car towed to Brian Hoskins Ford dealership on Dec 2 2022 due to power steering failure. Originally had same dealer service car when a recall (15S18) was sent out July 2015. Was told it was fine, no part replacement needed: "Check for DTCs and reprogram PSCM". I purchased car Sep, 2013 with 11,000 miles on it from Car Sense. At time of recall it had 26,991 miles. At time of steering failure mileage was 75,573. Dealer would not honor the recall, charging $2055.50. I called Ford Motor Company before repair was made and they also refused to honor recall, placing blame on the dealership for reprogramming the PSCM and closing program 15S18. I paid Hoskins Ford to fix the issue but feel I should be compensated due to the recall status that is still in effect. The dealership service advisor, [XXX], inferred that I was past the date and also stated that the dealer gets no specific mechanical details for the recall from Ford. My case number from my phone conversation with Ford Company is [XXX]. I called them Dec 5 2022. I don't feel I am past the date and hope that you can help me. I don't understand why it wasn't fixed at the recall and how they deemed it safe to drive. It also only has half the miles covered (150,000). The power steering assist randomly went out and caused me to almost crash into a wall when I was on the freeway taking the car home. The previous owner had gotten into an accident with the vehicle which had also resulted from the power steering randomly going out, and the power steering is now out completely on the vehicle and yet seems to come on randomly while having to manually steer the vehicle. I just got the vehicle and am the most recent owner, but since the vehicle has over 150,000 miles on it and it has been over 10 years, Ford and its dealerships are saying there’s nothing they can do to fix it. However, I know that these issues going on with the car (power steering assist and electronic throttle body issues) are related to the recall on the vehicle. There are apparently no active recalls on the vehicle, but I know that the previous owners may have taken the car in for problems related to the recall. However, I also know that the company is required to fix problems related to the recall no matter how many years the warranty is or how many miles the vehicle has on it, so I’m unsure why both Ford and its dealerships are saying there’s nothing they can do and that I’ll have to pay for a diagnostic fee and then the repair fees associated with the problem, and I just got the vehicle. I don’t feel that it’s fair that I pay for repair costs associated with a recall on several other Ford Fusion vehicles as well (2011-2012) when those recall related problems almost killed me, and upon researching it no other cars have power steering assist, electronic throttle body and airbag problems like the ford fusion.
Power Steering just locked up while driving with no warning or indicator, it still drives but it randomly locks up where i have no control over the vehicle In backing up out of our driveway i wasnt able to stop because the braking system froze up along with the steering and i hit a truck that was going down our road

2012 Ford Fusion SEL VIN: [XXX] On Wednesday evening, October 26, 2022, my daughter was parked in a shopping center lot. When she returned to the car and started it, she got an alarm and a warning light on the dash, stating: "Power Steering Assist Fault". She contacted me in a panic, and told me that she could not turn the wheel at all. After making arrangements to pick her up, the car was towed to a local mechanic the following day, October 27. The mechanic explained that the 2012 Ford Fusion had a recall for my specific year, make, and model for that exact problem. I had not, however, received a recall notice. He suggested that we contact a Ford dealership to make the necessary repairs, as specified in the recall. I had looked up the warning message on the computer, and was aware that my year/model Fusion had a known power steering problem. However, when we contacted a Ford dealer, he stated that my VIN number was not included in the recall. He quoted a repair price, over the phone and without looking at my car, estimated at over $2,000.00. I am a senior citizen with only my social security income. This is my only vehicle, and my daughter needs it for transportation to and from work. Obviously, the car is dangerous to drive without repairs. As of this date, the car is at the shop where it was towed, and I don't know of any options. From what I can gather, all of the problems prompting a recall on 2012 Ford Fusions are identical to the problem I have. I would very much appreciate some assistance and advice on how to proceed in this matter. Thank you. INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).
While I was driving down a winding road my power steering went out I almost wrecked my car I still owe $9000 on this car and I can’t even drive it in order to get it fixed it’ll cost like $3000 money I don’t have Ford needs to do another recall on these vehicles before somebody end up getting hurt my car will sit and rot now Because there’s no way to fix the power steering assist warning unless you take it to a Ford garage and pay them $3000 to fix it this is bull I will never buy a Ford again
My mother's car suddently became difficult to steer(she is elderly). she almost deove into another vehicle becuase her power sterring went out and the sterring became very diffuclt to turn.
