I TOOK MY CAR IN TO WATSON FORD IN JACKSON, MS IN 2017 TO BE RECALL SERVICED. THEY FIXED EVERYTHING..INCLUDING MY DOOR LATCHES. I HAD TO BRING IT BACK IN JUNE 18 BECAUSE THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR SWING OPEN AND MY DAUGHTER WAS IN THE SEAT & COULD HAVE BEEN SERIOUSLY HURT. NOW, MY BACK DOOR PASSENGER DOOR LATCH HAS DONE THE VERY SAME THING. I HAVE ATTEMPTED TO TALK TO THE FORD COMPANY, TRYING TO GET THEM TO FIX THIS BEFORE SOMEONE IS HURT BUT THEY REFUSE. I WAS DRIVING BOTH TIMES & BOTH TIMES MY CHILD'S LIFE WAS ENDANGERED. THEY'VE BEEN RUDE & UNHELPFUL. I ONLY WANT TO BE ABLE TO DRIVE SAFELY WITHOUT MY CAR DOOR FLYING OPEN. THIS WILL BE THE 3RD PROBLEM CONCERNING THESE DOOR LATCHES. PLEASE HELP
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING IN INCLEMENT WEATHER, THE CLIMATE CONTROL AND WINDSHIELD DEFROSTER BECAME INOPERABLE. THE FAILURE ALSO CAUSED THE WINDOWS TO BECOME INOPERABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS INTERMITTENT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. GENGRAS FORD (225 NEW BRITAIN AVE, PLAINVILLE, CT 06062, (860)793-8885) WAS CONTACTED VIA PHONE AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 38,000.
RECALL OF DOOR LOCKS, FULLY REPLACED IN 2017. WAS AT WORK YESTERDAY AND THE DOOR LATCH FAILED JUST LIKE INITIAL INCIDENT. WENT TO CLOSE THE DOOR & IT BOUNCED BACK LIKE SOMETHING WAS STOPPING IT FROM CLOSING. AS PER FORD THEY AREN'T RESPONSIBLE.
MY CAR WAS APART OF THE HEADLIGHT RECALL IN 2013. AFTER THE FIX THE DRIVER HEADLIGHT WAS NEVER THE SAME. RECENTLY THAT DRIVER HEADLIGHT WENT OUT WHEN DRIVING AT NIGHT. TO CHANGE A HEADLIGHT IT COSTS $30 PER BULB AND THEN A COUPLE OF HOURS OF TIME TO REMOVE/REPLACE THE BUMPER AT $160 AN HOUR. IN MY CASE, IT WASN'T THE BULB BUT THE BODY MODULE CONTROL WHICH HANDLES ALL THE LIGHTING IN MY CAR. THE HEADLIGHT IS SUPPOSED TO BE AT 12 VOLTS, BUT WAS AT A 9 VOLTS AND I'M TOLD IT FINALLY SHORTED. I THINK THIS HAS TO DO WITH THE HEADLIGHT REPAIR DONE YEARS AGO. THIS ENDED UP BEING A $1000 REPAIR. FOR A HEADLIGHT THIS IS A TERRIBLE BUILD FOR CONSUMERS.
VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION IN DRIVEWAY WHEN BACK PASSENGER DOOR SPRUNG OPEN AND WOULD NOT CLOSE BACK. APPROXIMATELY 2 WEEKS LATER WHILE DRIVING ON DIRT ROAD CLOSE TO HOME THE DRIVER DOOR SPRUNG OPEN AND AGAIN WOULD NOT SHUT (VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION). WHEN ATTEMPTING TO CLOSE THE DOOR THE LATCH THAT SECURES THE DOOR TO THE CAR WILL NOT LOCK INTO PLACE. BOTH DOORS HAVE EXHIBITED THE EXACT FAILURE.
PASSENGER AND DRIVER SIDE DOOR LATCHES BROKE WITHIN A COUPLE WEEKS OF EACH OTHER. THE CAR WAS PARKED BOTH TIMES AND WHEN EXITING THE CAR AND TRYING TO CLOSE THE DOORS, THEY DO NOT LATCH SHUT AND ONLY REMAIN OPEN.*DT *TP
INITIAL IGNITION OF THE CAR RESULTS IN ENGINE STALL OUT POST ABNORMAL IGNITION TIME. FUSION WILL DISPLAY "POWER RUN ACTIVE" THEN "PRESS BRAKE TO START". THIS WILL REPEAT AFTER ANOTHER IGNITION ATTEMPT AND RE-SHOW THE SAME MESSAGES ON THE DASHBOARD. AFTER A THIRD IGNITION ATTEMPT THE ENGINE DOES NOT STALL OUT. THE PROBLEM IS NOT A SUDDEN ONSET BUT INITIAL SYMPTOMS OF THE ISSUE IS THAT THE CAR WILL STALL OUT AFTER 10 SECONDS OF DRIVING. INITIAL RE-IGNITION POST STALL RESULTS IN NORMAL FUNCTION OF THE CAR WITHOUT EXTRA ISSUE. HOWEVER, THIS EVENT BECOMES INCREASINGLY COMMON OVER TIME UNTIL IT SIMPLY STALLS OUT IMMEDIATELY POST IGNITION. DESPITE MULTIPLE TRIPS TO A FORD CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL MECHANIC, NO CODES ARE GIVEN BY THE COMPUTER WHICH RENDERS DIAGNOSIS OF THE FAULTY PART OR CAUSE OF THE ISSUE NEAR IMPOSSIBLE. PROBLEM MAY PRESENT ITSELF AS FAULTY ALTERNATOR, BATTERY, OR STARTER. HOWEVER, EVEN AFTER REPLACEMENT OF ANY POSSIBLY FAULTY AFOREMENTIONED PARTS THE PROBLEM STILL PERSISTS.
TWICE IN THE LAST 2 WEEK MY EMERGENCY BRAKE HAS ENGAGED WILL I WAS DRIVNG DOWN THE HIGHWAY. A WARNING LIGHT CAME ON TELL MY THERE WAS A FAULT WITH MY BRAKES . SO I PULL OFF THE HIGH AND PULLED THE LEVER UP THEN PUSH IT DOWN THEN PULLED IT UP . I DID THAT 3 TIMES TO MAKE SURE IT WAS NOT ON
I AM WRITING TODAY TO SHARE WITH YOU AN ISSUE WE ARE HAVING WITH OUR 2013 FORD FUSION. WE WERE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD DURING THE RAIN. WHEN THE POWER STEERING ABRUPTLY FAILED. LUCKILY, WE DID NOT HAVE AN ACCIDENT. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME. THE FIRST TIME WAS 7 MONTHS AGO AND WE HAD TO REPLACE THE RACK AND PINION BOTH TIMES. THERE OBIVIOUSLY IS A PROBLEM WITH THEM AND I FEEL SOMETHING SHOULD BE DONE BEFORE SOMONE IS SERIOUSLY HURT BECAUSE OF THIS ISSUE. AFTER DOING SOME RESEARCH I FOUND THAT THERE WAS A RECALL ON 2012 FUSIONS FOR THE STEERING RACK, BUT OUR VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL EVEN THOUGH IT WAS BUILT AT THE SAME PLANT, DURING THE SAME TIME PERIOD, AS THE RECALL ORIGINATED FROM IN HERMOSILLO MEXICO. I SURE HOPE SOMETHING CAN BE DONE TO STOP EVERYONE FROM HAVING THIS PROBLEM.

THE CONTACT COASTED THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND ATTEMPTED TO CLOSE THE DOOR; HOWEVER, THE LOCK MECHANISM FAILED. THE CONTACT HELD THE DOOR AND DROVE SLOWLY TO HER RESIDENCE. THE CONTACT CALLED TED RUSSELL FORD LINCOLN (8551 KINGSTON PIKE, KNOXVILLE, TN 37919, (865) 693-7611) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER AND WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 99,707.
ON 10/10/2019, MY TEMPERATURE GAUGED SPIKED UP TO HIGH AND INSTANTLY DROPPED BACK DOWN TO NORMAL WHILE STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT, THEN THE CAR DISABLED ITSELF, LEAVING ME STRANDED. REPLACED THE TEMP. SENSOR AND ADDED COOLANT AND WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE CAR. ON 10/30/2019 IT HAPPENED AGAIN WHILE DRIVING ON CITY STREETS, LEAVING ME STRANDED FOR A SECOND TIME, SO I REPLACED THE TEMP. SENSOR AGAIN THINKING IT WAS DEFECTIVE. ON 10/12/2019, IT HAPPENED TWO MORE TIMES, ALSO WHILE DRIVING ON CITY STREETS, AND WITH DOING MORE RESEARCH, I FOUND IT STEMMED FROM A MANUFACTURING RECALL #17S09/ NHTSA RECALL #17V209, (COOLANT LEAKS/ENGINE OVER HEATING). ON 10/14/2019, I CALLED ADVANTAGE FORD IN STUART, FL AND WAS TOLD TO BRING MY CAR IN ON 10/23/2019 TO HAVE THE RECALLS(WHICH I WAS NEVER NOTIFIED OF) TAKEN CARE OF. ON 10/16/2019, MY CAR STARTED BLOWING WHITE SMOKE OUT OF THE EXHAUST AND WHEN I CALLED BACK ADVANTAGE FORD, THEY TOLD ME TO BRING IT IN RIGHT AWAY. SINCE MY CAR WAS NO LONGER DRIVE-ABLE, I HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED TO THE DEALER. WHEN I SPOKE TO THE TECHNICIAN AT FORD, HE SAID THAT THEY WOULD TAKE CARE OF THE RECALL AND REPLACE A HOSE THAT WAS LEAKING, BUT THAT THE DAMAGE WAS ALREADY DONE TO THE ENGINE, PROBABLY BAD RINGS (BECAUSE THE COOLANT LEAKED CAUSING THE ENGINE TO OVERHEAT GUNKING UP THE OIL IN THE ENGINE), AND THAT THIS WAS OUR FAULT AND THAT I SHOULD TRADE THE CAR IN WHILE IT STILL RUNS! HE WASN'T SURE OF WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS, NOR DID HE SUGGEST ANY TYPE OF REPAIRS, JUST THAT THIS WAS OUR PROBLEM. ON 10/22/2019, I CALLED FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND REPORTED THE PROBLEM. I WAS GIVEN A CASE # AND WAS TOLD THAT I WOULD BE CONTACTED BY A REGIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGER. ON 10/28/2019, WE WERE TOLD BY THE MANAGER THAT THEIR FORD MECHANICS WOULD HAVE TO BREAKDOWN THE ENGINE TO SEE EXACTLY WHAT CAUSED THE SLUDGE AND IF THEY ARE AT FAULT OR IF THIS IS OUR PROBLEM.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO ELLIOTT FORD LINCOLN (903-572-3486, LOCATED AT BURTON RD, MT. PLEASANT, TX 75455) WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 115,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FUSION. WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE, A TRANSMISSION WARNING INDICATOR REMAINED ILLUMINATED AND THE VEHICLE SHOOK AND VIBRATED. ALSO, THE VEHICLE DECELERATED AND SEVERAL UNKNOWN WARNING INDICATORS WERE DISPLAYED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO TOWN AND COUNTRY FORD (6015 PRESTON HWY, LOUISVILLE, KY), BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,000.
I CONTACTED MY LOCAL FORD DEALER REGARDING THE RECALL LISTED FOR MY CAR: "MAY 13,2019 MANUFACTURER RECALL NUMBER19S16 NHTSA RECALL NUMBER19V362" I WAS TOLD THAT MY CAR HAD NO RECALL AND THAT I'D HAVE TO COME IN TO LOOK INTO PURCHASING A ENTIRE NEW SHIFTER LINKAGE CABLE. THIS BUSHING CAME OFF ONCE I STARTED THE CAR THIS MORNING, TRIED TO PUT IT IN DRIVE AND THE CAR DIDN'T MAKE IT PAST REVERSE. AFTER I TRIED TO PUT THE CAR BACK INTO PARK THE CAR STAYED IN REVERSE EVEN THOUGHT THE SHIFTER WAS IN PARK. AFTER TURNING OFF THE CAR IT WAS UNABLE TO BE TURNED BACK ON BECAUSE THE TRANSMISSION WASN'T IN PARK EVEN THOUGHT THE SHIFTER READ IT WAS.
I WAS HIT FROM BEHIND WHILE STOPPED READY TO TURN IN TO MY DRIVE WAY PICKUP HIT ME ABOUT 40 MILE PER HR.PUSH ME ACROSS THE STREET INTO SOME MEDAL PIPES WHY DID THE AIR BAG DID NOT GO OFF?????I WAS ON A STATE HIGHWAY
ENGINE CYLINDER HEAD OVERHEATS AND LEAKS OIL RECALL DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE THIS MORNING IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC MY CAR STARTED SHUTTERING. I WAS ABLE TO GET TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD BEFORE MY DASHBOARD WENT CRAZY STATING MY CAR OVERHEATED. WHEN I GOT TOWED TO THE MECHANIC THEY DISCOVERED MY COOLANT WAS LEAKING AND IT BUSTED ONE OF MY CYLINDERS WHICH PUT A HOLE IN MY ENGINE. WHEN I CALLED FORD THEY STATED MY VIN WASN'T INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. I HAVE THE EXACT MAKE, MODEL AND ENGINE MENTIONED IN THE RECALL AND EXACTLY WHAT THEY WARNED WOULD HAPPEN, HAPPENED, BUT I WAS TOLD IT WAS A COINCIDENCE. I HAD NO WARNING WHATSOEVER. MY TEMPERATURE GAUGE WAS FINE AND THERE HASN'T BEEN ANYTHING LEAKING. THIS IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM. I DO NOT BELIEVE IN COINCIDENCES THIS BIG.
THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR LATCH IS NON FUNCTIONAL. A SUBSTANTIAL NUMBER OF 2013 FORD FUSION VEHICLES HAVE BEEN RECALLED FOR THIS ISSUE. A FORD DEALERSHIP WILL NOT REPAIR THE NON FUNCTIONING DOOR LATCH, THEY CLAIM MY VEHICLE IS NOT AFFECTED BY THE RECALL. I AM NOW LEFT WITH A NON OPERATIONAL VEHICLE DUE TO THE DOORS INABILITY TO BE SECURED PROPERLY.
WHILE DRIVING AT 70MPH ON A CROWDED HIGHWAY, THE ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING WENT OUT ON MY 2013 FORD FUSION WITH THE ERROR MESSAGE OF "STEERING LOSS STOP SAFELY", THERE WAS NO EARLY WARNING. THE MESSAGE WAS FREIGHTING AS I WAS THEN AFRAID TO TURN THE WHEEL AS IT SAID STEERING LOSS, NOT "POWER STEERING LOSS". I PULLED OVER AND FIGURED IT WAS POWER STEERING AND NURSED IT TO A SAFE PLACE. IF I HAD BEEN TURNING INTO A CROWDED INTERSECTION I WOULD HAVE WRECKED. ACCORDING TO THE DIAGNOSIS I NEED TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE ELECTRONIC RACK AND PINION ASSEMBLY. THIS WAS A SIMILAR ISSUE WITH NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V340000 FOR THE 2012 FORD FUSION. I CONTACTED FORD AND THEY SAID ITS NOT THE SAME ISSUE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT SHE NOTICED THAT THE TRUNK WAS LEAKING AND FULL OF WATER. THERE WAS A PUDDLE OF WATER IN THE TRUNK AND THERE WAS MOLD ALL OVER THE INSIDE OF THE TRUNK. THE AREA WHERE THE SPEAR TIRE WAS LOCATED WAS COVERED WITH MOLD AND RUST. THE REAR PASSENGER'S SIDE SEAT BELT WAS COVERED WITH MOLD AS WELL AS THE STEERING WHEEL, THE SEATS, THE DASHBOARD AND CARPET. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED NOR MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000.
STEERING WHEEL SUDDENLY LOCKED UP WONT TURN, ADVANCE TRAK LIGHT CAME ON, VEHICLE CANNOT BE DRIVEN
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE SLIPPED AND JERKED WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO REFERRED THE CONTACT TO A LOCAL DEALER. THE CONTACT CALLED BELL FORD (2401 W BELL RD, PHOENIX, AZ 85023, (602) 457-2144), BUT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 160,000. THE VIN WAS INVALID.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FUSION. AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS REFUELED AT A FUEL STATION, IT FAILED TO ENGAGE IN ANY GEAR AND THE SHIFTER DID NOT MOVE. THE CONTACT TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF, WAITED APPROXIMATELY TWO MINUTES, RESTARTED THE VEHICLE AND IT RESUMED NORMAL OPERATION. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO VAN HORN FORD (1000 E SUMMIT AVE, OCONOMOWOC, WI 53066) WHERE THEY JUST ADVISED THE CONTACT TO CALL NHTSA. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 82,689.
TAKATA RECALL. I HAD A REAR END ACCIDENT WITH FRONT END DAMAGE ALSO. THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY AT MORE THEN 40 PLUS MILE INPACK WHAT HAPPEN? CAR WAS STATIONARY WAITING TO MAKE A LEFT HAND TURN ON A HIGHWAY. HELP!
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING 15 MPH, THE OVERHEAT TEMPERATURE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS RUNNING HOT. THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THERE WAS NO TEMPERATURE GAUGE TO INDICATE THAT THE VEHICLE WAS RUNNING HOT. THE CONTACT HAD TO PULL UP THE DIGITAL DASH DISPLAY OF THE TEMPERATURE COOLANT TO SEE THE COOLANT TEMPERATURE. WHEN THE CONTACT TURNED ON THE AIR CONDITIONER TO COOL THE TEMPERATURE DOWN, THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE INDICATOR TURNED OFF AND RETURNED TO NORMAL. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THERE WAS NO COOLANT SENSOR IN THE VEHICLE. IN ADDITION, WHILE DRIVING, THE CONTACT HAD TO TURN THE AIR CONDITIONER BACK ON, BUT IT DID NOT TURN OFF THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE INDICATOR. ALSO, THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. FURTHERMORE, WHILE DRIVING UP A HILL, THE ENGINE BEGAN TO SHAKE AND THE TEMPERATURE AND ENGINE WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT WAITED A WHILE BEFORE RESTARTING THE VEHICLE AND DRIVING OFF. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE COOLANT LEVEL WAS FINE WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED IN JUNE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS NO COOLANT SENSOR TO WARN THAT THE COOLANT LEVEL WAS LOW. THE CONTACT WAS A FORMER FORD TECHNICIAN AND DIAGNOSED THE VEHICLE. A CYLINDER HEAD TEMPERATURE OVERHEAT CODE APPEARED. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED AND THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED VIA CHAT AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 95,000.
WAS DRIVING IN TOWN (LESS THAN 45 MPH) WHEN I TURNED A CORNER MY BACK DOOR CAME OPEN ON ITS OWN. THANKFULLY, MY 5YR OLD WAS BUCKLED IN TIGHT HIS BOOSTER BECAUSE HE WAS SITTING RIGHT THERE. THERE WAS NO AJAR LIGHTS OR SOUNDS THAT THE DOOR MAY HAVE BEEN OPEN WHILE I WAS DRIVING. THE LAST TIME THE DOOR WAS CLOSED, IT LATCHED SECURELY AND WAS NOT AN ISSUE. THE DOOR NOW WILL NOT LATCH AT ALL, IT WILL CLOSE BUT THE LATCH WILL NOT HOLD IT CLOSED. THERE WAS A RECALL REPAIR ALREADY DONE ON THIS VEHICLE FOR THE VERY SAME PROBLEM (RECALL # 15S16) IN 2016. SO THIS WOULD BE A REOCCURRING FAILURE AFTER THE RECALL REPAIR WAS COMPLETED. FORD WILL NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE 2ND REPAIR OF THE VERY SAME FAILURE AS THE ORIGINAL RECALL, SINCE IT WAS 3 YRS AFTER THE FIRST REPAIR.*DT*JB

3 OUT OF 4 OF THE DOORS LATCHES HAVE STOPPED WORKING WITHIN 1 YEAR SPAN. THE DOORS DO NOT CLOSE. VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY/PARKED. DOOR WAS OPENED TO ALLOW ENTRY AND THEN WOULD NOT CLOSE OR LOCK.
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN; I'M WRITING TODAY TO SHARE WITH YOU AN ISSUE WE ARE HAVING WITH OUR 2013 FORD FUSION. WE WERE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD WHEN THE POWER STEERING ABRUPTLY FAILED. LUCKILY, WE DID NOT HAVE AN ACCIDENT. WE PURCHASED AND HAVE HAD ALL OF OUR SERVICE DONE THROUGH THE DEALERSHIP. WE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE IN 2016 WITH 38,233 MILES ON IT. WE HAD THE CAR TOWED TO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AT FAITH'S FORD IN BRATTLEBORO VERMONT ON MONDAY THE 26TH FOR A POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT. ON TUESDAY, WE RECEIVED A CALL FROM XXX]SERVICE MANAGER, AND HE INFORMED US THAT THE ELECTRIC POWER STEERING RACK HAS HAD A PREMATURE FAILURE AND THAT THE REPLACEMENT WOULD COST $1900.00. WE HAVE CONTACTED THE OWNER OF FAITHS FORD AND NOT RECEIVED A RESPONSE. AFTER DOING SOME RESEARCH WE FOUND THAT THERE WAS A RECALL ON 2012 FUSIONS FOR THE STEERING RACK, BUT OUR VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL EVEN THOUGH IT WAS BUILT AT THE SAME PLANT, DURING THE SAME TIME PERIOD, AS THE RECALL ORIGINATED FROM (15S18) IN HERMOSILLO MEXICO. OUR VEHICLE, VIN NUMBER [XXX] 69,520 MILES ON IT WHEN IT FAILED. WE ARE STILL MAKING PAYMENTS ON IT WITH OVER $6000.00 LEFT TO THE LOAN AND WE CANNOT AFFORD TO SPEND THAT AMOUNT. IT WAS SUGGESTED THAT WE CONTACT FORD CORPORATE OFFICE ABOUT THE ISSUE WHICH WE DID, HOWEVER THEY MAINTAIN THAT OUR CAR WAS NOT PART OF THE RECALL AND THERE IS NOTHING THAT THEY CAN DO. THEY TOLD US TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR A DIAGNOSIS, EVEN THOUGH WE HAD EXPLAINED THAT WE HAD ALREADY DONE THAT VERY THING. THEY SUGGESTED WE CONTACT THE NHTSA AND FILE A COMPLAINT. HOW MANY OTHER CARS ARE OUT THERE THAT HAVE THIS SAME ISSUE BUT ARE 'NOT PART OF THE RECALL.' IF [XXX] EEN DRIVING, SHE WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO STEER IT. AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON. ASKED DEALER TO CHECK. THEY SAID IT LOOKED LIKE A WIRE HAD BEEN CUT. SO THEY SAID WOULDN'T FALL UNDER WARRANTY. THIS MAKES NO SENSE. IT SHOULD BE COVERED. I HAVE ONLY HAD MY CAR TO FORD DEALERSHIPS FOR REGULAR MAINTENANCE UNDER THEIR PLAN SINCE PURCHASED NEW. AIRBAGS HAVE NEVER DEPLOYED. I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE THESE WIRES ARE EVEN LOCATED. SO IS THIS FAULTY FROM DAY ONE OR DONE WHILE OTHER WORK REGULAR MAINTENANCE OR RECALL WORK DONE? WHY DO I NEED TO PAY FOR ALMOST $500 FOR REPAIR? SHOULD BE WARRANTY WORK.
WHEN VEHICLE SITS IN THE SUN ALL DAY AT HIGH TEMP, THE DRIVER'S SEAT BELT WILL NOT DEPLOY. THE TENSIONER LOCKS UP. AFTER SITTING SEVERAL MINUTES WITH A/C ON HIGH THE SEAT BELT WILL STILL NOT DEPLOY. THIS IS A SERIOUS ISSUE MAKING THE VEHICLE UNSAFE TO DRIVE FOR THE DRIVER.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING 50 MPH, THE VEHICLE SHIFTED INTO LOW GEAR. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO SHIFT INTO PARK, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ENGAGE AND CONTINUED TO MOVE. THE EMERGENCY BRAKE WAS APPLIED TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT CALLED BULL VALLEY FORD (1460 S EASTWOOD DR, WOODSTOCK, IL 60098, (815) 338-6680) AND INFORMED THEM OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THE BUSHING NEEDED TO BE REPLACED DUE TO CORROSION AND THE STEERING LINKAGE FRACTURED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: CASE [XXX]. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS SIMILAR TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 18V471000 (POWER TRAIN). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 161,546. *BF CONSUMER STATED BATTERY WAS RECHARGED AFTER EMERGENCY FLASHER WAS DISCHARGED. ALSO VEHICLE WAS TOWED AND STEERING LINKAGE WAS REPAIRED. NOTICE SENT (MAY 2019) STATING THAT THE BUSHING IN THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTER CABLE MAY DEGRADE OVER TIME. THIS MAY CAUSE THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTER CABLE TO NOT BE ABLE TO FULLY MOVE THE TRANSMISSION TO THE SELECTED GEAR POSITION. IF THE DRIVER ATTEMPTS TO SHIFT TO PARK IN THIS CONDITION, THE TRANSMISSION MAY NOT BE IN PARK POSITION EVEN THOUGH THE SHIFTER POSITION INDICATES THE VEHICLE IS IN PARK, AND THE "TRANSMISSION NOT IN PARK" WARNING MAY NOT APPEAR. THIS COULD RESULT IN UNITENDED VEHICLE MOVEMENT, INCREASING THE RISK OF INJURY OR CRASH. I WAS TOLD TO BRING MY CAR (8/19/19 )BUT WAS TOLD THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT IN. NO ACCIDENT HAS OCCURED AS OF 8/19/19.
WHILE OPERATING MY VEHICLE FROM A STOP TO A ROLLING POSITION, THE TRANSMISSION IS NOT PROPELLING THE CAR FORWARD LIKE IT SHOULD. I COMPARE IT TO A MANUAL TRANSMISSION SCENARIO WHERE THE CLUTCH ISN'T RELEASED ALL THE WAY, SO THE RPMS REV-UP, BUT THE CAR MOVES FORWARD A VERY SLOW PACE. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR ABOUT 2 MONTHS NOW. NOTHING SEEMS TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE. THIS OCCURS EVERYDAY, REGARDLESS OF ENGINE TEMPERATURE OR WEATHER.
CAR STRUGGLES TO CRANK AFTER FUELING UP. IT DOES NOT MATTER HOW MUCH GAS I HAVE IT WILL HAVE TO TURN OVER THREE PLUS TIMES TO CRANK. RESEARCHED AND NUMEROUS FUSIONS HAVE THE SAME ISSUE. IT COULD BE THE PURGE VALVE. I HAVE ORDERED THE PIECE TO PUT ON SOON.
MY 2013 FUSION HAS A DOOR LATCH THAT IS BROKEN. ACCORDING TO RECALL 15S16 THIS SHOULD BE COVERED UNDER A RECALL BUT, ACCORDING TO FORD, THIS IS NOT A COVERED VIN, YET MY VEHICLE WAS BUILT IN THE SAME FACTORY AS THE STATED RECALL (HERMOSILLO IN 2013), THEREFORE, SHOULD BE COVERED. MY VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY NOT SAFE TO DRIVE BECAUSE OF THIS ISSUE.
REPLACEMENT OF LUG NUTS AFTER 60,000 MILES. THE LUG NUTS ARE KNOWN TO WEAR OUT AND THEN NEED REPLACEMENT AT A COST OF @$150. MAKES NO SENSE. I NEED TO REPLACE THE FUEL VAPOR SEPARATOR (9D289). THIS WILL BE THE THIRD ONE ON THIS CAR AT @ $400.
LEFT FRONT HEADLIGHT NO LONGER HAS POWER. CHECKED HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY FOR POWER CONTINUITY. PROBLEM SEEMS TO BE IN WIRING TO HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY OR FROM FROM FUSE BOX. NOT SURE EXACTLY WHEN IT FAILED BUT REPLACEMENT OF LAMP LEAD TO FURTHER DIAGNOSTIC SINCE LAMP WORKED WHEN PLACED IN RIGHT FRONT.
THE REAR MIDDLE SEAT BELT LOCKS UP WHEN THE SEAT IS TILTED DOWN AND DRIVEN A COUPLE OF MILES. THIS DOESN'T LET THE REAR SEAT TO COME BACK UP. THE ONLY WAY TO RELEASE IT IS TO COMPLETELY DISASSEMBLE THE SEAT AND THE SEAT BELT EVERY TIME. USERS UNBOLTING AND BOLTING THE SEAT BELT REPEATEDLY CAN EASILY LEAD TO UNINTENDED ERRORS IN REASSEMBLY.
PASSENGER SIDE DOOR WILL NOT LATCH PROPERLY. DOOR WILL NOT CLOSE AT ALL.

THE CONTACT CALLED AUTONATION FORD UNION CITY AT 770-674-6075 (LOCATED AT 4355 JONESBORO RD, UNION CITY, GA 30291) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V643000 (LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES) IN 2016. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND CONFIRMED THAT THE RECALL REPAIR WAS PERFORMED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 72,000.
THE LUG NUTS SWELLED CAUSING US TO HAVE TO PURCHASE A SPECIAL TOOL TO REMOVE THEM AND THEN TO REPLACE ALL OF THE LUG NUTS TO PREVENT ANY MORE ISSUES. THIS IS A WELL KNOWN ISSUE WITH FORD, WHO WILL NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM. THERE WAS A LAWSUIT ON THIS.
TWO WEEKS AGO I WAS HEADING TO WORK. RIGHT BEFORE I GOT ON THE HIGHWAY MY CAR BEGAN TO SMOKE. NO ALARMS WENT OFF, SO I PULLED OVER TO SEE WHAT IT COULD BE THE REASON MY CAR STARTED SMOKING. WHEN I LIFTED UP THE HOOD SMOKE CAME ROLLING OUT AND I SEEN FIRE UNDER THE ENGINE. I CALLED 9-1-1 AND THEY SEND THE FIRE DEPARTMENT OUT TO PUT OUT THE FIRE. CAR IS TOTAL LOST
I CALLED FORD BEFORE AND THE GUY ON THE PHONE SAID THAT THE RECALL WAS VIN SPECIFIC AND MY VIN HAD NOT BEEN INCLUDED. ALTHOUGH, THE SAME ISSUES THEY ARE SAYING IS HAPPENING IS HAPPENING WITH MY CAR RIGHT NOW. I PUT IT IN PARK IT DRIVES, I DO USE MY EMERGENCY BRAKE AT ALL TIMES NOW, I PUT IT IN REVERSE IT GOES FORWARD, I PUT IT IN NEUTRAL IT REVERSES; IF THERE WERE AN EMERGENCY CURRENTLY I AM NOT ABLE TO HIT THE GAS AND REVERSE AND THE BRAKES SEEM TO SHUDDER WHEN STOPPING. AND THIS WILL BE THE SECOND APPOINTMENT SINCE IT WAS REPAIRED FOR RECALLS EARLIER ON IN THE YEAR.
MY CAR CUT OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HIGHWAY NOW MY CAR IS GIVING ME THE WARNING SIGNAL TRANSMISSION NOT IN PARK. THIS IS THE SAME WARNING I'M THE RECALL. I'VE BEEN TRY TO GET THE DEALER TO FIX IT SINCE I GOT THE LETTER 3 MONTHS AGO BUT THEY KEEP TELLING ME THEY CAN'T ORDER THE PART THEY ARE BUSY. HAD MY OIL CHANGE/TIRE ROTATION DONE ON 08/01/19 AND WAS TOLD I HAD TO GET NEW LUG NUTS AS THEY WERE SWOLLEN & MISSHAPEN. COST OF $200 TO CHANGE THEM. I THOUGHT THIS IS WI, WINTERS ARE HARSH SO OK. APPARENTLY THIS IS NOT NEW ACCORDING TO THIS WEBSITE. ALSO HAVE NO WORKING AIRBAGS AS A SENSOR FOR THE SEATBELT IS NOT WORKING. TO FIX THAT WILL BE $300+ BUT I REFUSE TO PAY FOR THIS AS THERE IS A RECALL IN PLACE FOR THAT ALSO!! WE ARE LOYAL FORD CUSTOMERS AND TO FIND OUT FORD KNOWS ABOUT THIS IS INFURIATING. THE LOCK ON THE PASSENGER SIDE FRONT DOOR BROKE AND THE DOOR WOULD NOT SHUT. THE VEHICLE WAS STOPPED IN THE DRIVEWAY. THE PASSENGER GOT OUT AND WENT TO SHUT THE DOOR, BUT IT WOULD NOT SHUT.
WHEN DRIVING THE VEHICLE WILL GIVE A NOTIFICATION IN THE DASH ABOUT LOW COOLANT- SERVICE REQUIRED. THE VEHICLE WILL THEN 'SHUT OFF' IN THE MIDDLE OF NO (HIGHWAY, CITY ROAD, OR EVEN PARKING LOT) WHERE AND WILL SAY IT'S OVER HEATED. TURN THE VEHICLE OFF AND THEN BACK ON AND IT RUNS JUST FINE FOR OVER 20 MINUTES AND DOES IT AGAIN. HAD TAKEN TO THE LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP AND THEY 'FIXED' THE PROBLEM THAT LASTED A WEEK- THEY CHANGED THE THERMOSTAT, HOSES, SENSORS.
