I'VE HAD MY CAR FOR 5 YEARS. 6 MONTHS AFTER I PURCHASED IT IT STARTED SHOWING TRANSMISSION ISSUES. IT'S ALMOST LIKE IT GETS STUCK IN A GEAR WHEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE , AND THEN IT FLINGS YOUR FORWARD. WHEN DRIVING UP A HILL IT WON'T GO OVER 30MPH. I TOOK IT IN OVER 2 YEARS AGO TO FORD AND WAS TOLD A TRANSMISSION RECALL FOR 2014 FORD FUSIONS WAS COMING. 2 YEARS LATER AND I'M BEING TOLD MY CAR DOESN'T QUALIFY BUT IS SHOWING ALL THE SIGNS THAT'S LISTED ON THE RECALL. JUST LAST WEEK MY CAR SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY WITH MY KIDS IN THE CAR. SINCE IT'S HAPPENED 3 TIMES. SINCE IT STARTED SHUTTING OFF WHILE DRIVING A NEW ISSUE HAS PROGRESSED. MY CAR NOW JERKS WHEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE. IF I HAVE THE HEATER IN IT SMELLS LIKE SOMETHING IS BURNING. WE USED A CODE READER AND IT TOLD US TRANSMISSION ISSUES BUT FORD STILL SAYS I DON'T QUALIFY.
THE TRANSMISSION HAS TO BE REPLACED AT LOW MILEAGE. RESEARCH SHOWED THIS A HUGE ISSUE WITH OTHER OWNERS OF THE FORD FUSION 2013-2015. SIMILAR TO ENGINE PROBLEMS, TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS ARE THE LAST THING ANY DRIVER WOULD LIKE TO DEAL WITH. THIS IS BECAUSE IT COSTS A LOT OF MONEY ON REPAIR AND REQUIRES A CERTAIN SKILL SET TO GET IT FIXED. UNFORTUNATELY, 2014 FORD FUSION TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS WERE THE THIRD MOST REPORTED ABOUT THIS VEHICLE. IN GENERAL, THE PROBLEMS WERE RELATED TO ISSUES WITH SHIFTING, COMPLETE TRANSMISSION FAILURE, AND TRANSMISSION SHUTTERING. MANY OWNERS OF VEHICLES AROUND 28,000 MILES REPORTED ROUGH TRANSMISSION SHIFTING ALONG WITH TRANSMISSION SLIPPING, WHICH IS NOT EXPECTED AT THIS MILEAGE OF THIS VEHICLE. THE PROBLEM WAS MOSTLY RESOLVED BY EITHER REPLACING THE TRANSMISSION OR PERFORMING A GLOBAL RESET. THE AVERAGE REPAIR COST FOR TRANSMISSION SLIPPING WAS ABOUT $750. AT LEAST TWO OWNERS REPORTED A COMPLETE TRANSMISSION FAILURE OF THEIR 73,000 MILES VEHICLES. THE OWNERS MENTIONED THAT THEY PERFORMED REGULAR MAINTENANCE TO THE VEHICLE, AND THEY DID NOT SEE ANY WARNING SIGNS THAT COULD POINT THEM TO DO SOMETHING BEFORE THE COMPLETE FAILURE. THE OWNERS DID NOT INCLUDE INFORMATION ABOUT REPAIR OPTIONS OR REPAIR COSTS. LASTLY, A COUPLE OF OWNERS INDICATED FRUSTRATION FROM TRANSMISSION SHUTTERING EVERY TIME THEY DRIVE THE VEHICLE. THEY MENTIONED THAT THE SHUTTERING FADES OUT AFTER THEY DRIVE FOR A LONG TIME. HOWEVER, THE SHUDDERING BECOMES MORE SEVERE WHEN THEY SWITCH FROM PARK TO DRIVE OR VISE VERSA. UNFORTUNATELY, TRANSMISSION SHUTTERING OCCURRED AT RELATIVELY NEW VEHICLES AROUND 5,000 MILES.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS IN REVERSE, THE BACK OVER CAMERA BECAME INOPERABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS INTERMITTENT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BE DIAGNOSED AND QUOTED OVER 700.00 TO REPAIR. COGSWELL MOTORS (1900 E MAIN ST, RUSSELLVILLE, AR 72801, (479) 968-2665) WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 34,000.*DT*JB*DT CONSUMER STATED HE DID HIT SOMETHING AND AT THE TIME VEHICLE WAS UNDER WARRANTY. DEALER TOLD THE CONSUMER CAMMERA WAS FINE.*JB
I first bought my 2014 Ford Fusion in 2020, a few months later the electronic power steering failed and locked up while the vehicle was in motion going 45MPH on the highway. Luckily, I was able to pull over far enough to wait for a tow truck to take me to a repair shop a couple miles away. The repair shop told me I needed my electric power steering rack and pinion replaced, they quoted me $2000 for parts, labor and realignment. I got my vehicle towed to my father's house as I do not have that kind of money and proceeded to order my own electronic power steering rack and pinion online which cost me $682.76 which my dad and I installed together. Fast forward 2 years later my power steering is starting to stiffen up again while driving and likes to 'stick' to the side I am turning the steering wheel to. This is a serious safety hazard which can and will end up putting someone in the ICU or even cause death. Ford Motor Company NEEDS to issue a recall for the electronic power steering in the 2013-2016 Ford Fusion vehicles. I will more than likely need to replace mine again just after 2 years of replacing it, I do not have the money to replace my power steering every 2 years. The first time this happened my car was at 76,000 miles and now at 107,400 miles it is happening again. I have read countless complaints online about this exact issue for the 2013-2016 Ford Fusion vehicles of all trim levels. PLEASE start an investigation and make Ford Motor Company issue a recall, I am begging you. Thank you
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE HIS WIFE WAS DRIVING 30 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED WITH THE POWER STEERING ASSIST WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME DIFFICULT TO STEER. THE CONTACT'S WIFE DROVE THE VEHICLE TO AN UNKNOWN DEALER TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE MECHANIC DETERMINED THAT THE STEERING GEAR PMI MODULE WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE PART WAS ON BACK ORDER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V632000 (STEERING) AS A POSSIBLE SOLUTION TO THE FAILURE HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE BUT, PROVIDED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 98,000.
The contact owns a 2014 Ford Fusion. The contact stated upon starting the vehicle, the brake pedal was depressed and went down to the floorboard. The contact's husband added brake fluid to the reservoir; however, the failure persisted. Upon inspecting underneath the vehicle, the contact's husband noticed that the brake fluid was leaking. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that one of the front brake hoses had ruptured and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact later received a notice for Ford Campaign Number 22N02. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and provided partial reimbursement. The failure mileage was approximately 68,000.
2014 FORD FUSION HAD NO PRIOR PROBLEMS AND NEVER INDICATED ANY OVERHEATING. AT 60K MILES THE DASH INDICATED ENGINE OVERHEATED. PARKED THE CAR IMMEDIATELY AND HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO THE LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP. DEALERSHIP ADVISED THE COOLANT ENTERED THE ENGINE CYLINDER HEADS AND THAT THE ENTIRE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED.

THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
TRANSMISSION IS SLIPPING REALLY BAD. IT STALLS WHILE DRIVING AND TRYING TO ACCELERATE. IT ALSO SHIFTS OUT REALLY ROUGH. THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM STAYS ON EVEN WHEN THE CAR IS OFF I'VE ALREADY REPLACED REFURBISHED TRANSMISSION AND THE WHEEL BEARING. I FEEL VERY UNSAFE AND DON'T ALLOW MY KIDS TO RIDE IN CAR FOR NOT KNOWING WHAT COULD HAPPEN. EVEN WHILE CAR IS IDLING THERE A LOUD KNOCK
I WAS INVOLVED IN A MAJOR COLLISION ON THURSDAY 8/27 AT APPROXIMATELY 3:30PM. WHILE APPROACHING THE INTERSECTION TO MAKE A RIGHT TURN, I REMOVED MY FOOT FROM THE GAS AND ATTEMPTED TO BRAKE, BUT RATHER THAN SLOW DOWN, MY CAR ACCELERATED. WHEN I PRESSED THE BRAKE ALL THE WAY DOWN IT STILL CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE UNTIL I HIT ANOTHER VEHICLE WHICH FINALLY STOPPED MY CAR. I AM LUCKY NO ONE INCLUDING MYSELF DIED- THIS IS ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE. FORD CONTINUES TO HAVE THESE ISSUES AND THEIR NEGLIGENCE IS GOING TO HARM MORE PEOPLE!
DROVE MY 2014 FUSION WITH APPROX 141,800 MILES ON IT TO WORK (APPROX 30 MILES) THE NIGHT OF 8/25/2020 WITH NO ISSUES OR WARNING LIGHTS UPON PARKING IN THE PARKING GARAGE AND EXITING THE VEHICLE. WHEN I CAME OUT THE NEXT MORNING IT FAILED TO START WITH THE REMOTE. WHEN I GOT IN AND TRIED TO START IT, IT STILL WOULD NOT START AND IT PROVIDED NO WARNING LIGHTS. HAD SOMEONE ATTEMPT TO JUMP IT WHICH OBVIOUSLY DIDN'T WORK, SO WAS IT TOWED TO A NEARBY FORD SERVICE CENTER. THE SUMMARY OF THEIR DIAGNOSTICS WAS AS FOLLOWS: THERE WAS NO COOLANT (WHICH I HAD PUT SOME IN ABOUT 3 WEEKS PRIOR, AFTER THE CAR DID PROVIDE A WARNING THAT IT WAS OVERHEATING. I HAD PRESUMED THAT THE FORD QUICK LANE FORGOT TO CHECK MY COOLANT LEVELS WHEN IT WAS THERE 5/13/20 AND AT THIS TIME IT WAS LOW BUT NOT EMPTY), SPARK PLUG NUMBER 2 HAD COOLANT ON IT, CYLINDER #2 ALSO HAD COOLANT IN IT, AND AFTER CLEANING ALL SPARK PLUGS AND REINSTALLING THEM WHITE SMOKE WAS COMING FROM THE TAIL PIPE WHICH SMELLED LIKE COOLANT. IT WAS REQUESTED THAT I REPLACE THE BATTERY AND GET A NEW ENGINE AT WHICH THEY GAVE ME A QUOTE OF $6526.86. AFTER DOING RESEARCH AND ASKING A NON-FORD MECHANIC, HE AGREED IT WAS A FORD DEFECT. FORD WAS NOTIFIED VIA PHONE AND A CASE NUMBER WAS PROVIDED, BUT SAID THEY COULD NOT HELP WITH THIS MATTER. THIS IS THE SAME ISSUE THE 1.6L AND 2.0L HAD THAT WAS RECALLED AND FORD ACKNOWLEDGES THE ISSUE WITH THE 1.5L IN SSM 48106. REALLY SUCKS BECAUSE THE CAR RUNS GREAT OTHER THAN THIS ISSUE AND IS CURRENTLY PARKED WHILE MAKING A DECISION TO FIX OR SELL. NOTE: ALL ROUTINE MAINTENANCE WORK ON THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN DONE BY FORD.
WHILE DRIVING ON A FREEWAY, MY 2014 FORD FUSION 2.0L ECOBOOST STARTS TO OVERHEAT. WHILE TRYING TO PRESS THE GAS PEDAL TO INCREASE THE SPEED, THE CAR TAKES A WHILE TO INCREASE THE SPEED AND AT THE SAME TIME THE TEMPARATURE GAUGE IS GOING UP AS WELL UNTIL I GET THE OVERHEATING NOTIFICATION ON MY CAR. I HAD TO SLOW DOWN MY DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY WHILE THERE WERE CARS BEHIND ME. I HAD TO GET OUT OF THE FREEWAY AND EXITED ON THE FIRST EXIT I SEE. I STOPPED ON A CURB OF A STREET AND OPENED THE HOOD OF THE CAR TO CHECK WHAT IS WRONG WITH IT AND I SAW THAT THERE ARE COOLANT ALL OVER MY ENGINE AND THAT MY COOLANT LEVEL WAS EMPTY EVEN THOUGH I FILLED IT UP ABOUT 2 WEEKS AGO. I HAD TO REFILL MY COOLANT A LITTLE BIT MORE THAN THE MAX LEVEL. I TRIED MY BEST TO DRIVE BACK HOME CAREFULLY AND JUST TOOK THE STREETS. I CHECK THE COOLANT LEVEL ABOUT 4-5 MILES LATER AND NOTICED THAT THE COOLANT LEVEL WENT DOWN A ABOUT 1/4 OF AN INCH BELOW THE MAX LEVEL. THE OVERHEATING STARTED TO HAPPEN WHEN THE TEMPERATURE STARTED TO RISE UP OVER 100 DEGREES BUT IT WAS THE FIRST TIME TODAY(08/25/2020) THAT IT SPLATTERED COOLANT ALL OVER MY ENGINE. THERE WAS ALSO NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON.
APPEARLLY FORD MOTOR COMPANY KNEW ABOUT APIM SYSTEM MALFUNCTIONING THAT THEY EXTENDED THE WARRANT STARTING FROM 2014 FOR 5 YEARS AND DIDN'T NOTIFY TO THE CUSTOMERS SO AFTER YOUR WARRANTY IS GONE THE APIM SYSTEM WILL NO LONGER WORK AND BY LAW ALL MANUFACTURING NEED TO NOTIFY OF ANY ABNORMAL SITUATION ON YOUR VEHICLE. THEIR UNDERSTANDING IS THAT THIS DOES NOT FALL UNDER A SAFETY RECALL, BUT WITHOUT HAVING THE SPEAKERS OR SOUND WORKING YOU WILL NOT HEAR YOUR SEATBELT CHIME YOU WILL NOT HEAR YOUR MOTOR SENSES CHIME WHEN CROSSING A-LINE, YOU WILL NOT HEAR YOUR VEHICLES CHIME REVERSING NOR WILL YOU SEE YOUR CAMERA. I HAVE SEEN 1000THS OF PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM AND FORD WILL NOT FIX IT BECAUSE "THEIR WARRANTY HAS EXPIRED" THEY ARE REQUESTING $1000 TO FIX IT.HOPEFULLY THIS CAN BE ANNOUNCED FOR ANOTHER CUSTOMERS BEFORE THEIR WARRANTY EXPIRES AND THEY DON'T HAVE TO PAY 1000 DOLLARS LIKE MYSELF
WITH ABSOLUTELY NO PREVIOUS ISSUES, THE CAR STARTED OVERHEATING WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. I WAS ABLE TO MAKE IT HOME AFTER TURNING ON THE HEAT (ON A 90 DEGREE DAY) AND RIDING IT OUT. IT TURNED OUT MY CAR WAS OUT OF COOLANT, WHICH WAS ODD. WE FILLED IT AND MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, THEN MY CAR SAT FOR ABOUT A WEEK, THE BATTERY WAS DEAD AND WHEN IT WAS JUMPED EVERY WARNING CAME UP ON MY DASH AND MY ENGINE WAS IN LIMP MODE. TURNS OUT MY CYLINDER CRACKED AND COOLANT WAS FLOODING MY ENGINE. AFTER SOME RESEARCH, IT TURNS OUT IT'S A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE MODEL'S ENGINE AND FORD HASN'T DONE ANYTHING TO REMEDY IT.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO FLAMMER FORD OF SPRING HILL (3335 COMMERCIAL WAY, SPRING HILL, FL 34606) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE LUG NUTS ON THE FOUR WHEELS WERE SWOLLEN AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE HAD NEVER HEARD OF SUCH A REPAIR NEEDING TO BE PERFORMED ON ANY VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
WHEN PUTTING THE VEHICLE IN PARK TODAY WITH SHIFTER, I REMOVED THE KEY, LIFTED MY FOOT OFF THE BRAKE AND THE VEHICLE STARTED ROLLING BACKWARDS. I APPLIED THE BRAKES. WHEN TURNING THE VEHICLE BACK ON, IT WAS STUCK IN "NEUTRAL" ON THE DASH BUT THE SHIFTER IS STUCK IN "PARK" AND WILL NOT SHIFT OR MOVE OUT OF PARK. THIS IS A KNOWN RECALL ON FORD FUSIONS YEAR 2014 BUT MY VIN DOES NOT SAY IT WAS PART OF THAT RECALL.
WHILE DRIVING ON A 2 LANE FLAT ROAD THE CAR STARTED LOSING POWER, WHEN I PRESS THE GAS HARDER THE CAR REALLY SPEEDED UP AND AFTER 2 BLOCKS IT STARTED LOSING POWER AGAIN, WITHIN THAT TIME THE "HILL START ASSIST" WARNING LIGHT CAME ON AND WENT OFF LOSING POWER ON AND OFF FOR 5 MILES UNTIL I REACHED HOME. AFTER GETTING HOME I NOTICE THE BRAKE LIGHT DIDN'T GO OFF AFTER 2 HOURS, SO I HAD TO REMOVE BATTERY CABLE. I HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED TO REPAIR SHOP AND THEY REPAIRED BRAKE SWITCH BECAUSE I DIDN'T KNOW IF IT WOULD STOP COMPLETELY.
I RECEIVED A WRITTEN NOTICE FROM FORD CORPORATE THAT MY VEHICLE WAS SUBJECT TO A RECALL CONCERNING DOOR LATCH SPRINGS. IT DIRECTED ME TO RECORD THE MODEL NUMBER OF EACH OF THE FOUR DOOR LATCHES. THIS I DID AND WAS FURTHER DIRECTED TO GO ONLINE TO WEB SITE TO RECORD THE NUMBERS. THE WEB SITE DOESN'T EXIST AND WHEN YOU GO THERE YOU GET A FAULT 404. WHEN I THEN CALLED MY LOCAL DEALER,FORD COUNTRY IN HENDERSON, NV THEY MADE ME AN APPOINTMENT FOR THEM TO CHECK THE LATCHES. WHEN I ARRIVED AT THE APPOINTED TIME, I WAS TOLD THAT I MUST LEAVE THE VEHICLE OVER NIGHT AS THERE WERE 18 OTHER VEHICLES AHEAD OF ME. WHY WOULD A DEALERSHIP SCHEDULE 19 VEHICLES AT THE SAME TIME FOR A VISUAL INSPECTION WHICH TOOK ME LESS THAN 15 MINUTES TO PERFORM?
I WAS DRIVING ON A CITY STREET AND LOST POWER STEERING RENDERING ME UNABLE TO CONTROL MY VEHICLE WHILE I WAS TURNING. I WAS DRIVING AT 40 MPH. WARNING LIGHT FLASHED AFTER MY STEERING WHEEL BECAME HARD TO TURN. IT WAS RAINING OUT WHICH MADE THE SITUATION EVEN MORE DANGEROUS AND I HAD MY FAMILY IN THE VEHICLE. I BELIEVE THE POWER STEERING MODULE SINCE IT'S ELECTRIC WAS AT CAUSE. LUCKILY I WAS ABLE TO BRAKE AND PULL INTO A LESS BUSIER STREET.
MY BACK UP CAMERA CONTINUOUSLY STOPS WORKING. IT HAS BEEN OCCURRING FOR SEVERAL MONTHS. FROM A SITTING POSITION WHEN PLACED IN REVERSE MOST TIMES THE BACK UP CAM WILL COME ON AND STAY ON FOR A FEW SECONDS, THEN GO TO A BLACK SCREEN AND SOMETIMES STAY BLACK AND OTHER TIMES CRAZY IMAGES WILL COME UP. IT ALMOST APPEARS TO HAVE SOME SORT OF SHORT IN IT CAUSING THIS TO OCCUR. FOR SEVERAL YEARS IT WORKED PROPERLY, NOW EVERY TIME I PLACE IN REVERSE IT IS A GUESSING GAME AS TO WHETHER IT WILL WORK AT ALL.
I HAVE TAKEN GREAT CARE OF MY CAR AND HAD IT SERVICED REGULARLY. ALL OF A SUDDEN IT STARTED HAVING STARTUP ISSUES WITH WHITE SMOKE COMING FROM THE EXHAUST AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS INDICATING MISFIRE ON THIRD CYLINDER AND RANDOM MISFIRES ON STARTUP. SHORTLY AFTER THESE SYMPTOMS PRESENTED, THE CAR RAPIDLY OVERHEATED WHILE IN MOTION AND LEFT ME STRANDED ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. I TOOK IT TO TWO SHOPS AND BOTH CONFIRMED IT IS RELATED TO A KNOWN ISSUE WITH MY ENGINE (1.5 ECOBOOST) FOR WHICH FORD HAS RELEASED MULTIPLE CORRECTIONS IN THE FORM OF TSBS, FSAS, AND CSPS. THE DESIGN OF THE SHORT BLOCK AND THE ENGINE PROGRAMMING HAVE CAUSED THE COOLANT TO PREMATURELY DEGRADE THE HEAD GASKET WHICH LEADS TO COOLANT INTRUSION INTO THE ENGINE CYLINDERS. IN MY SPECIFIC CASE, THE ISSUE HAS PRESENTED IN CYLINDER 3. THIS SHOULD BE HANDLED AS A RECALL CONSIDERING IT IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE A VEHICLE THAT IS SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED TO SPONTANEOUSLY OVERHEAT UNDER NORMAL OPERATING CONDITIONS, LEAVING A DRIVER AND THEIR TWO CHILDREN STRANDED ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD.

I ATTEMPTED TO HAVE MY CAR REPAIRED UNDER RECALL 20V331 AND THE DEALER SAID THAT "THE RECALL IS FOR DOOR LATCHES THAT ARE NOT AVAILABLE YET". I WAS INFORMED THAT THERE IS NO TIMELINE FOR WHEN THE PARTS WILL BE AVAILABLE. THE RECALL SAYS THAT THIS IS TO VERIFY THAT WORK DONE ON 15S16 OR 16S30 WAS DONE CORRECTLY. WHAT IS THE POINT OF A RECALL IF THE COMPANY WON'T FIX THE PROBLEM?
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD IT BEGIN TO SPUDDER AND HAD HARD TIME GOING. WHITE SMOKE WAS COMING FROM TAIL PIPE AND WHEN I PULLED OVER AND POPPED THE HOOD THERE WAS SO MUCH SMOKE COMING FROM THE ENGINE WHERE YOU PUT OIL IN. I WAS AFRAID IT WAS FIXING TO CATCH ON FIRE. THIS COULD EASILY HAVE CAUSED A SERIOUS CRASH AND WAS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. I ALREADY HAD A RECALL ON THE STEERING WHEEL BOLTS COMPLETED A FEW MONTHS AGO.

BRAKE PEDAL ALL OF A SUDDEN STARTED SINKING TO THE FLOOR WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. BRAKE PADS, CALIPERS ARE GOOD NO LEAKS AND REPLACED MASTER CYLINDER. PEDAL STILL SINKS TO THE FLOOR WHEN BRAKING. DANGERS. CALLED DEALER ABOUT RECALLS. THEY SAID IS NONE.

WHEN THE ENGINE GETS TO A WARM TEMPERATURE AND THEN SHUT OFF AND LEFT FOR 10 OR SO MINUTES, WHEN THE ENGINE IS RESTARTED, PUT IT DRIVE, WITHIN SEVERAL SECONDS (15 SECONDS TO 120 SECONDS) IT WILL BEGIN SHUTTERING AND DIE WHILE DRIVING. RESTARTING THE ENGINE AFTER IT QUITS (WHICH TAKES ABOUT 2 SECONDS, LONGER THAN NORMAL) WILL START AND WILL AGAIN DIE WHEN BEGINNING TO DRIVE. I HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING THIS ISSUE FOR ABOUT 5-6 MONTHS ON MY FORD WITH +/- 66K MILES. THE ISSUE IS GETTING WORSE AND MUCH MORE FREQUENT. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT OR DIAGNOSTIC CODES ARE PRESENT. Trunk continues to unlatch and open on its own. It pops open when driving or parked and if vehicle is in motion causing things to fly out of trunk and hit other cars. I have had professionals look at it and it still doesn’t work. The trunk open indicator on the dash always clicks, lights up, and says trunk ajar.

FORD QUOTED ME $6,500 FOR A NEW ENGINE, AS THEY STATED, IS THE ONLY FIX. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 80,000.
The front passenger side brake hose failed without warning. When I stepped on the brake the pedal went down to the floor. The fluid was leaking out, but was able to make it home. I informed the dealer, but they indicated there was no recall in place. I had the hose replaced. About 6 months later the Front Driver side brake hose failed in the same way. Again the brake pedal went down to the floor and was able to make it home. Again looked for any recall notice and found none. I had the hose replaced.
I went to a dealership in north Vernon Indiana and I was told when the parts come in I’ll get a call no one called me to notify me about any parts to fix my recall I never gotten my door latches fixed.

I HAD TO GET THE CAR TOWED TO FORD DEALERSHIP IN UNION CITY, GA. WHERE THEY FOUND OUT IT WAS THE PWERSTEERING SYSTEM THAT FAILED COSTING $2600 IN REPAIRS THAT I DIDNT HAVE AND I NEEDED MY CAR FOR WORK. SO I HAD TO COME UP WITH THE MONEY TO FIX AN REPAIR THAT SHOULDNT HAVE HAPPEN. MY KIDS AND I COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED. THIS HAPPEN JUNE 2020 I HAVE CALLED SEVERAL TIMES SUDMITTED DOCUMENTS OF REPAIRS AND RECIEPTS. STILL NO WORLD ON ADDING IT TO THE RECALL LIST TO SAVE OTHERS KNOWNING THIS HAS BEEN AN MAJOR ISSUE IN THESE CARS AS WELL AS i WAS TOLD THAT YOU ALL WOULD REIMBURSE ME FOR REPAIRS.
