Fuel Rail and vacuums are faulty. Gas remains over 1/2 a tank and vehicle stalls and shuts off while trying to drive. The engine shuts off while in drive . Acceleration is still not allowing for the car to run when starting and after a while the vehicle shuts off while driving.

The vehicle was repaired but experienced the failure a third time on July 26, 2023. The contact took the vehicle back to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing the purge valve to be replaced a third time. The vehicle was not repaired. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V735000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT UPON START OF THE VEHICLE, THE POWER STEERING FAILED TO OPERATE AS NEEDED WITH THE POWER STEERING ASSIST FAILURE WARNING MESSAGE DISPLAYED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE CONTACT STATED THAT EXCESSIVE FORCE WAS NEEDED TO STEER THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT INITIALLY TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DID NOT HAVE THE PROPER TOOLS TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO MURRAY MOTORS LOCK HAVEN (910 BELLEFONTE AVE, LOCK HAVEN, PA 17745) WHERE HE WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS ON THE VEHICLE. UPON INVESTIGATION, THE CONTACT DISCOVERED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V250000 (STEERING) WHICH HE LINKED TO THE FAILURE HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 47,000.
Headlights do not work. I have replaced the low beams bulbs 3 times since purchasing my car over three years ago and each time the lights only work for a brief period of time them seem to short out unexpectedly, for no reason whatsoever. The high beams have been replaced multiple times as well. I purchased the fluorescent bulbs for better night vision. The lights were bright for a short period them dimmed and are only as bright as they should be if they were on low beam. This is some sort of an electrical issue or something to do with a manufacturer’s defect. Since I purchased my vehicle almost 4 years ago, there has been an ongoing issue with the transmission or alternator. The car “jumps out of gear” when putting the vehicle into park or when shifting the vehicle into drive from park. There is also a constant loud “humming/vibration” sound that clicks on and off continuously once the car is initially crunk up. The passenger door is coming off due to the loosening of bolts I assume but I’m not certain. Nothing has happened to cause this issue. The power outlets in the vehicle get extremely hot at times and cause phone cords to heat up. This has caused my phone to be destroyed! The rear view camera is now blurry with lines going through it. This is only happening when the car is put into reverse and rear view camera is in use. The Bluetooth and media in the vehicle gets stuck on “Sync Line In” & at times will not change to any other setting. This seems to be an electronic issue as well. There have been MANY recalls on my vehicle and I have taken it to the Ford dealership for repair each time however, none of these issue have been resolved . I am a single mother who work’s full time and is a full time student. This is my only form of transportation. I should not have to worry rather or not my car is safe for my children and I.
I just bought a new Battery. And I keep getting no crank no start. Rear suspension keeps squeaking as if it's not lubricated.

IN DISBELIEF I TOLD THE CAR TO ELDERLY FORD DEALERSHIP IN TROY, MI WHERE ARE THEY NOTIFIED ME THAT I NEEDED TO REPLACE MY ENGINE BECAUSE COOLANT WAS LEAKING INTO MY ENGINE AND THE REPAIRS WILL COST MEV$7500 THEY'VE DONE TWO DIAGNOSTIC TEST WERE THEY FIND FAULT IN FORD! I NEED TO RESOLVE THIS MATTER
CAR WON'T CRANK. WARNING SIGN SAYS DIMMING LIGHTS.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, MY DASH INFORMED ME THAT MY POWER STEERING MODULE FAILED, AND I HAD TO PULL OVER BECAUSE THE POWER STEERING WAS NO LONGER WORKING. I TOOK IT TO A FORD DEALERSHIP WHO MISDIAGNOSED IT AS A BATTERY ISSUE. AFTER GETTING A NEW BATTERY THE SAME ISSUE HAPPENED AGAIN. I NOW HAVE TO REPLACE THE WHOLE POWER STEERING WHICH WILL COST ME 3K.
THIS MORNING I GOT AN ENGINE COOLANT OVER HEAT MESSAGE AND MY CAR OVER HEATED IN A DRIVE LESS THAN 10 MINUTES IN COLD WEATHER. COOLANT WAS CHECKED A FEW DAYS AGO AND LEVELS WERE GOOD. I CHECKED AFTER GETTING THE MESSAGE AND COOLANT TANK WAS COMPLETELY EMPTY. THERE WAS NO VISIBLE LEAK WHERE I HAD PARKED. READING ON TO POSSIBLE PROBLEMS ONLINE, I READ THAT THIS IS A SERIOUS AND KNOWN ISSUE. MY VEHICLE HAS ALWAYS BEEN SERVICED ON SCHEDULE AND THIS IS NOT NORMAL. 12-1-2020

SUDDEN LOSS OF POWER STEERING WHILE DRIVING ON A CITY STREET AND MAKING A TURN THROUGH AN INTERSECTION. REPAIR REQUIRED IS COMPLETE REPLACEMENT OF THE ELECTRONIC STEERING ASSEMBLY GEAR.
WHEN GETTING READY TO PARK THE CAR THE CAR SAYS IT'S IT NUETRAL BUT IT'S ACTUALLY I BELIEVE IN PARK. I TOOK MY FOOT OFF THE BREAK AND IT WAS MOVING BACKWARDS. I PUT THE PARKING BREAK ON THE CAR SO IT IS STATIONARY.

I ALWAYS HAVE TO PUT COOLANT EVERY MORNING TO GET IT GOING OTHERWISE A WARNING LIGHT COMES OFF TO WARN ME ABOUT THE COOLANT BEING LOW. HONESTLY I DON'T WANT TO GO TO THE SAME PROBLEM LIKE THEY ARE GOING. I'M WONDERING IF FORD IS GOING TO RECALL ALL THE ECOBOOST ENGINES THAT THEY HAVE PROBLEMS WITH IT. ENGINE WAS REPLACED IN SEP OF 2019 DUE TO COOLANT INTRUSION INTO ONE OF THE CYLINDERS. RICART FORD REPLACED IT DUE TO IT BEING COVERED BY AN EXTENDED WARRANTY. NOW 14 MONTHS I GET MY FUSION BACK FROM AN OIL CHANGE TO FIND MY COOLANT COMPLETELY EMPTY. TOOK MY CAR BACK INTO FORD AND WAS TOLD I HAVE COOLANT INTRUSION AGAIN AND THAT MY ENGINE NEEDS REPLACED A SECOND TIME.

THE RPMS REV AND SHIFTING HESITATES. WAS AT A STOP LIGHT, WENT TO DRIVE OFF FROM LIGHT AND IT STALLED IN INTERSECTION AS IT WAS STUCK IN GEAR AND FINALLY WENT INTO GEAR. IT SLOW, HARD SHIFTS AT USUAL TIMES. THE STALLING HAPPENS OUT OF THE BLUE. I DO NOT GO FAR BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO HAVE AN ACCIDENT FROM IT STALLING IN GEAR! I'VE PUT SO MUCH MONEY ON TRANNY WORK, THIS IS RIDICULOUS TO NOT HAVE A SAFE VEHICLE AND HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT BEING STRANDED.

THE CONTACT THEN TOOK THE VEHICLE TO GULLO FORD OF CONROE (925 I-45 S, CONROE, TX 77301 (630) 539-1000) TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED OF A COOLANT AND LEAK AND THAT THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000.

I RECEIVED NOTICE OF RECALL 20S15 / 20V-177 APPROXIMATELY 7 WEEKS AGO, AND MY DEALERSHIP HAS BEEN UNABLE AND UNWILLING TO SCHEDULE A SERVICE APPOINTMENT AFTER 6 ATTEMPTS AT CONTACT AND SCHEDULING. THE DEALERSHIP IN QUESTION IS BIG MIKE NAUGHTIN FORD 150 S HAVANA ST AURORA, CO 80012
DRIVING ON HIGHWAY AND CAR OVERHEATS AND HAVE TO PULL OVER. THE CAR SHUTDOWN. A COOLANT PROBLEM NOT A BIG DEAL. TAKE IT IN AND HAVE A CODE SAYING IT IS MISFIRE #2 #3. REPLACE PLUGS DO A TUNE UP AND ASK ABOUT THE OVER HEATING PROBLEM. SAID WE WERE LOW ON ANTIFREEZE. STRANGE CAUSE WE HAD JUST TOPPED ALL FLUIDS WHEN WE CHANGED OIL. OKAY PICK IT UP RUNS GREAT FOR ONE DAY, ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AGAIN. TAKE IT BACK AND GET IT CHECKED MISFIRE AGAIN. LEAVE CAR WITH MECHANIC AND HE GOES THRU IT. TEST DRIVING AND ENGINE LIGHT COMES BACK ON. GETS IT BACK TO THE SHOP, STARTS LOOKING AROUND AND NOTICES THE COOLANT WHICH HE JUST FILLED IS DRY. AFTER FURTHER REVIEW THE COOLANT IS LEAKING INTO THE ENGINE. THE DIAGNOSE IS THE ENGINE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE HAS 80000 MILES ON IT AND SHOULD NOT HAVE A PROBLEM OF THIS SORT GOING ON AT ALL. WE TOOK IT IN TO FORD AND WAS TOLD THEY CAN HELP US . THIS IS THERE PRODUCT CORRECT?

THE CONTACT HAD A CERTIFIED MECHANIC TO LOOK AT THE VEHICLE AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE THROTTLE BODY SURGED CAUSING THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT CALLED TALLAHASSEE FORD (243 N MAGNOLIA DR, TALLAHASSEE, FL 32301) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE MANUFACTURER FIELD SERVICE ACTION: 13N03 (THROTTLE BODY EXTENDED COVERAGE). THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 128,000.
CAR IS AROUND 80,000 MILES AND HAS COOLANT LEAKING INTO THE CYLINDERS. PREVIOUSLY I HAD SOME MISFIRE CODES COMING THROUGH AND HAD THE SPARK PLUGS REPLACED. HOWEVER, THE CAR CONTINUED TO ROUGH IDLE AND THE ENGINE LIGHT PERIODICALLY WOULD COME BACK ON. A FEW DAYS AGO THE CAR INFORMED ME THAT THE ENGINE WAS OVERHEATING WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. I REFILLED THE COOLANT TO THE CORRECT LEVEL AND CHECKED BACK THE NEXT DAY. THE COOLANT WAS BELOW THE MINIMUM LINE AGAIN SO I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP. THIS IS WHEN THEY DEALERSHIP TOLD ME ABOUT THE NEED FOR AN ENGINE REPLACEMENT
I WAS STOPPED AT A STOP SIGN AND WAS HIT HEAD ON AND THE AIR BAGS NEVER DEPLOYED. DAMAGE TO MY GRILL, HOOD, BUMPER, SIDE PANELS AND DRIVER SIDE DOOR WOULDN'T OPEN. THE IMPACT SHOULD HAVE CAUSED MY AIR BAGS TO DEPLOY. IT WAS A HARD ENOUGH IMPACT THAT IT ACTUALLY MOVED MY CAR. AIR BAGS DO NOT WORK.

THE MECHANIC DETERMINED THAT CYLINDER #2 AND THE ENGINE FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS CURRENTLY BEING REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WARRANTY HAD EXPIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 51,000.
I TOOK MY CAR INTO THE FORD DEALER FOR SERVICE AS THE CAR'S BLUETOOTH WOULDN'T PAIR TO MY CELL PHONE. THE ISSUE BEGAN ABOUT TWO MONTHS AGO. THE DEALER DETERMINED THAT THE APIM MODULE NEEDS REPLACING. THE MODULE IS IMPORTANT FOR HANDS FREE COMMUNICATION WHILE DRIVING.
The contact owns a 2015 Ford Fusion. The contact stated while driving 30 MPH, the vehicle stalled with the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact was able to veer to the side of the road. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that coolant was leaking into the cylinders. The vehicle was then taken to the dealer where the contact was informed that the spark plugs needed to be replaced. The contact who is an independent mechanic, replaced the spark plug on four other occasions; however, the failure persisted. An unknown third dealer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the manufacturer for assistance. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 75,000.

WHILE DRIVING MY CAR POWER STEERING WAS LOST WHILE TURNING. I ALMOST RAN INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE BUT WAS ABLE TO PULL MY STEERING WHEEL FAST ENOUGH EVEN THOUGH IT WAS VERY HARD TO TURN
I DROVE TO WORK NO PROBLEMS AND PARKED MY 2015 FUSION 2.0 ECOBOOST. WHEN I LEFT WORK I STARTED THE CAR AND A BILLOW OF WHITE SMOKE ROLLED OUT FROM THE EXHAUST WHEN I PULLED OUT OF MY PARKING SPOT. IT QUICKLY DISSIPATED SO I DROVE DOWN THE ROAD A FEW MILES. I THEN GOT AN OVERHEATING WARNING ON THE DASH FOLLOWED BY A P1299 CODE. WHEN I PARKED THE CAR IT WAS IDLING ROUGH SO I TURNED IT OFF. I LET IT COOL DOWN AND NOTICED THE COOLANT RESERVOIR WAS LOW SO I FILLED IT UP AND STARTED THE CAR, IT IDLED JUST FINE, AT FIRST, WITH LITTLE SMOKE THEN AFTER A FEW MOMENTS IT STARTED IDLING REALLY ROUGH. IT SUCKED THE COOLANT RESERVOIR DRY SO I FILLED IT UP AGAIN AND WENT INSIDE. WHEN I LOOKED AT IT HALF AN HOUR LATER THE COOLANT RESERVOIR WAS EMPTY YET AGAIN. I THEN NOTICED A HUGE PUDDLE UNDER MY CAR WITH IT DRIPPING FROM THE MUFFLER IN THE MIDDLE. I DON'T KNOW THE PROBLEM. I ONLY HAVE 68K MILES.
LAST YEAR I TOOK MY FUSION IN FOR A COUPLE OF RECALLS AT GARY SMITH FORD. ONE OF THE TWO RECALLS REGARDED MY FRONT PASSENGER SEATBELT. IT WOULDN'T EXTEND OUT PROPERLY WITHOUT HAVING TO TAKE EXTRA MEASURES. I HAD A RECALL LETTER IN THE MAIL REGARDING THIS ERROR AND IT WAS APPARENTLY NOTED THAT THE BELT WAS FIXED, BUT IT IS STILL NOT.
FUSE CONTINUES TO POP. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO A GROCERY STORE AND AFTER THE SHOPPING THE VEHICLE STARTED UP BRIEFLY THEN DIED. WE CHANGED THE FUSE AT THE PARKING LOT BUT IT POPPED THE FUSE AGAIN. WE ENDED UP HAVING IT TOWED. THE MECHANIC BELIEVES IT IS A FUEL PUMP ISSUE OR WIRING TO THE FUEL PUMP. WE ARE ON MILITARY ORDERS IN ITALY AND HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO REACH FORD TO AUTHORIZE REPAIR SINCE WE DO HAVE A VALID EXTENDED WARRANTY. ITALIAN FORD DEALERS WILL NOT WORK ON AMERICAN SPEC CARS. WE HAVE A CERTIFIED MECHANIC WHO HAS ACCESS TO FORD BUT NEEDS THE AUTHORIZATION CODE IN ORDER TO START REPAIRS AND RECALLS. WE ARE GETTING THE RUN AROUND WITH FORD'S CUSTOMER SERVICE HOTLINES AND NO ONE SEEMS TO BE WILLING TO HELP. WE CANNOT SHIP THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE STATES WITH ACTIVE RECALLS ON IT. THE VEHICLE IS COMPLETELY BROKE DOWN CURRENTLY. WE ARE UPSET ON HOW FORD SUPPORTS ITS MILITARY!
WE HAVE NOW EXPERIENCED THE IDENTICAL DEFECT IN THE ENGINE IN THIS CAR TWO TIMES. COOLANT IS LEAKING INTO THE ENGINE CAUSING IT TO FAIL THE FIRST TIME AND NOW TRIGGERING CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS THAT THE DEALERSHIP STATES WILL REQUIRE THE ENGINE TO BE REPLACED AGAIN MEANING IT WILL BE THE THIRD ENGINE IN A 5 YEAR OLD CAR WITH 55000 MILES. THE FIRST ISSUE OCCURRED IN APRIL 2019. THE CAR ENGINE STOPPED WHILE BEING DRIVEN ON A SUBURBAN PARKWAY CREATING A DANGEROUS SITUATION TO PULL OUT OF TRAFFIC. IT NEEDED TO BE TOWED TO DEALERSHIP. THE ENGINE HAD BURNED OFF ALL THE COOLANT AND WHEN TESTED THE DEALERSHIP STATED COOLANT WAS LEAKING INTO THE ENGINE AND IT WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THERE WERE 41,000 MILES ON THE CAR SO THE ENGINE REPLACEMENT WAS COVERED BY WARRANTY. SINCE THEN WE HAVE DRIVEN THE CAR 14,000 MILES IN 18 MONTHS ON THE NEW ENGINE THAT WAS REPLACED. IN SEPTEMBER OF 2020 THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. WE TOOK IT TO A AUTO PARTS STORE TO DOWNLOAD THE CODE FOR THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. IT WAS P0300, AN ENGINE MISFIRE. WE TOOK TO A LOCAL SHOP TO CHECK IT OUT. HE DIAGNOSED THE SAME ISSUE. HE FOUND COOLANT IN CYLINDER 1 AND IT WAS 1/2 GALLON SHORT OF COOLANT. HE STATED THIS IS KNOWN ISSUE AND ENGINE WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. I SHARED IT HAD ALREADY BEEN REPLACED AND HE RECOMMENDED TAKING IT BACK TO DEALER THAT DID WORK. I DROVE IT TO DEALER AND THEY CONFIRMED THE SAME ISSUE WITH COOLANT IN THE ENGINE AND IT WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THIS TIME, IT'S NOT UNDER WARRANTY SO WE WILL HAVE TO BUY A NEW ENGINE FOR $5K. I HAVE REQUESTED FORD STAND BEHIND THE REPLACEMENT ENGINE WITH 14,000 MILES ON IT ONLY TO BE TOLD NO, THE NEW ENGINE ISN'T COVERED. THE CAR HAS 55,500 MILES ON IT CURRENTLY.
WHILE PULLING OUT OF A PARKING SPACE (LESS THAN 5 MPH) I HEARD A CLANK/POP SOUND. WHEN I THEN APPLIED MY BRAKES THEY SUNK TO THE FLOOR AND BARELY STOPPED THE CAR. I HAD NO BRAKES. BRAKE FLUID THEN STARTED TO PUDDLE UNDER THE FRONT PASSENGERS SIDE WHEEL AND ON INSPECTION I NOTICED THE BRAKE FLUID DRIPPING FROM THE BRAKE LINE. I HAVE BEEN CURRENT WITH ALL MY CAR MAINTENANCE AND THERE WAS NEVER A MENTION OF ANY ISSUE WITH THE BREAK LINES. I HAD THIS CAR TOWED AND UPON INSPECTION BY A MECHANIC IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE FRONT DRIVERS SIDE BRAKE LINES WERE ALSO BULGING AND NEEDED REPLACING. THE FRONT BRAKE LINES GOING FROM THE CALIPER TO THE MAIN BRAKE LINE FITTING, ARE THE PARTS THAT WERE BAD. I HAVE ATTACHED PICTURES AND NOTES FROM THE MECHANIC. I HAVE A LINK I CAN SHARE AS WELL AS AN INVOICE IF NEEDED. I DID NOT SHARE CURRENTLY SINCE IT STATES NOT TO PUT PERSONAL INFORMATION ON HERE.
THE BACK DRIVER SIDE SEAT BELT IS STUCK AND WILL NOT COME OUT. THE RETRACTOR KEEPS LOCKING UP. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT IN A COLLISION. THE BREAKS WERE NOT EVER HIT HARD. IT WORKED FINE THE DAY BEFORE. THE NEXT MORNING, MY CHILD TRIED TO STRAP HERSELF UP AND IT WOULD NOT COME OUT. THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY IN THE DRIVE WAY. THE OTHER SEATBELTS WORK FINE.

CAR WOULD OCCASIONALLY MISFIRE ON STARTUP AND WOULD HAVE CYLINDER 1 MISFIRE. ONE DAY CAR BEGAN TO SHAKE AT HIGHWAY SPEED AND IMMEDIATELY SLOWED DOWN AND LEFT HIGHWAY. TOOK TO FORD DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THAT COOLANT WAS LEAKING INTO COMBUSTION CHAMBER AND NEEDED A NEW ENGINE.
ENGINE COOLANT IS BEING CONSUMED BY THE ENGINE LEADING TO UNSAFE ENGINE OVERHEATING. THIS INTERNAL LEAK OCCURS DURING ALL DRIVING SITUATIONS.
I SENDING THIS MASSAGE BECAUSE I HAVE 2015 FORD FUSION SE. MY ISSUE IS WHEN I PUT MY CAR ON DRIVE MODE EVERY TIME I GO OUT IN TO TOWN. I DON'T KNOW WHAT COULD IT BE MAYBE IT JUST NEEDS A SOFTWARE UPDATE OR MAYBE THE TRANSMISSION IS ABOUT TO GO OUT. MY 2015 FORD FUSION OVERHEATED WITHIN 10 MINUTES OF TURNING IT ON AND DRIVING ONTO THE FREEWAY. THE COOLANT HAD COMPLETELY DISAPPEARED AND THE CAR STOPPED MOVING. IT TOOK 6 DAYS FOR THE TEAM TO DIAGNOSE IT NEEDED A NEW ENGINE. THE ENGINE ITSELF WAS EATING AWAY THE COOLANT AND WAS CONTAINING WATER/MOISTURE PRESSURE WITHIN THE ENGINE. NOT DRIVABLE, AND IN NEED OF A NEW ENGINE.
I HAVE A 2015 FORD FUSION SE ECOBOOST CURRENTLY AROUND 76000 MILES. ABOUT 2 WEEKS AGO THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TURNED ON. THE SCAN HAD REPORTED A CYLINDER MISFIRE DUE FOR A SPARK PLUG CHANGE ALONG WITH A COIL CHANGE. MADE THE REPLACEMENTS DAY AFTER, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS CORRECTED. A WEEK AGO IT OVERHEATED, COOLANT HAD DISAPPEARED, EVEN AFTER REFILLING THE COOLANT AT MAX THE VEHICLE WOULDN'T REGISTER THE COOLANT. NO MOVEMENT, NOT DRIVABLE. GOT IT TOWED TO THE NEAREST FORD DEALERSHIP. WAITED FOR ALMOST A WEEK FOR THEM TO DIAGNOSE THE CAR, COME TO FIND OUT MY CAR IS IN NEED OF A NEW ENGINE. THE TECHNICIAN SAID THE COOLANT WAS BEING 'EATEN BY THE ENGINE' AND THERE WAS NO WAY TO FIND OUT WHERE IN THE ENGINE WAS THE LEAK. 'EXCESSIVE MOISTURE COULD CAUSE THE ENGINE TO COMBUST IF DRIVEN IN THIS CONDITION'. 'THE ENGINE WAS ABSORBING THE MOISTURE'. WHAT I CAN'T UNDERSTAND IS HOW COULD THIS BE A COMMON PROBLEM IN FORD FUSION ECOBOOST MODELS AND NOT BE A MANUFACTURER RECALL. IF CAR WAS KEPT UP WITH MAINTENANCE, AND NEVER BROUGHT UP WHEN GETTING SERVICED. THERE'S NO WEAR AND TEAR DAMAGE IT'S A MANUFACTURE DEFECT. A CAR ENGINE SHOULD NOT LAST 5 YEARS FROM BEING BRAND NEW TO BASICALLY TOTALED CAR.. FORD SHOULD PROVIDE A RECALL . THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. EVEN AFTER CONTACTING FORD THEY MENTIONED NO COVERAGE AFTER 5 YEAR POWER TRAIN WARRANTY.

WE HAD THEM TEAR DOWN THE ENGINE TO CONFIRM IT WAS NOT A HEAD GASKET. RESULTS NEGATIVE. SO, HAD THE ENGINE REPLACED FOR $6800.00

FELIX SABATES FORD (7601 SOUTH BLVD, CHARLOTTE, NC 28273, (704) 552-2760) STATED THAT THE LUG NUTS HAD A CAP THAT WAS WELDED ON THE TOP LUG NUTS THEMSELVES THAT WAS SWOLLEN CAUSING THE DEFECT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND PROVIDED THE CONTACT A CASE NUMBER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 61,000.
FORD FUSION WITH 75000 MILES. REPAIR SHOP JUST DIAGNOSED MY ENGINE ISSUE AS A COOLANT LEAK INTO THE ENGINE BLOCK. THIS IS AN ONGOING PROBLEM WITH FUSIONS OF THIS AGE. REPAIR COST IS A REPLACEMENT OF THE ENGINE $8000.

I WAS IN THE DRIVE THRU OF A FAST FOOD RESTAURANT. WHEN I WENT TO PRESS ON THE BRAKE PEDAL, IT HAD NO PRESSURE BEHIND IT, AND I WAS JUST BARELY ABLE TO STOP THE CAR. I WAS ABLE TO GET THE CAR INTO A NEARBY PARKING LOT. I WAS JUST BARELY ABLE TO STOP THE CAR USING THE EMERGENCY BRAKE. MY CAR THEN SHOWED A LOW BRAKE FLUID WARNING ON THE DASH. SO I OPENED THE HOOD AND SAW THAT THE BRAKE FLUID RESERVOIR WAS COMPLETELY EMPTY. I HAD A FAMILY MEMBER COME PICK ME UP AND DRIVE ME HOME. I LATER CAME BACK WITH A BOTTLE OF BRAKE FLUID SO THAT I COULD TRY AND FIND THE LEAK. I DISCOVERED THAT THE DRIVERS SIDE FRONT BRAKE LINE HAS BEEN BLOWN OPEN, AND WAS LEAKING BRAKE FLUID AT A SUBSTANTIAL RATE. I ALSO REMEMBERED VACUUMING UP SOME PLASTIC PIECES FROM THE DRIVER FRONT FLOOR AREA NOT REALIZING WHERE THEY HAD COME FROM. THE "BRAKE PEDAL STOP PAD" ITSELF WHICH WOULD COST LESS THAN $5.00 IS NOT OFFERED BY FORD, SO PEOPLE ARE FINDING ALTERNATIVES WHICH MAY BE UNSAFE AND INCLUDE: "BRAKE PEDAL STOP PAD" NOT DESIGNED SPECIFICALLY FOR THIS VEHICLE, ZIP TIES, AND EVEN MAGNETS! TODAY AUG 19, 2020, AS I WAS STEPPING ON BRAKE TO SHIFT INTO GEAR, I HEARD THAT SAME "POP", MY BRAKE PEDAL WENT DOWN VERY FAST. I INSPECTED CAR AND FOUND BRAKE FLUID SPRAYED ALL OVER RIGHT FRONT WHEEL WELL AND BRAKE LINE WAS BROKEN, MAKING IT UNSAFE TO DRIVE. I AM VERY THANKFUL THIS DID NOT HAPPEN YESTERDAY WHILE DRIVING ON FREEWAY AND ALL OVER CITY STREETS AND UP AND DOWN HILLS. I HAVE REPAIR INVOICES FOR BOTH OCCURRENCES IN JUNE AND AUG, BUT AM UNABLE TO SCAN AND ATTACH AT THIS TIME.
SOMETIMES HALFWAY OR COMPLETELY MY BACK UP CAMERA WILL GO BLACK AND LEAVE AND ERROR MESSAGE. THIS IS EVERYTIME I BACK UP, HAS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE AUGUST 2020.
