TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ENGINE EXPERIENCED A MISFIRE AT START-UP. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE VIBRATED ABNORMALLY WITH THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO FORD STORE SAN LEANDRO (1111 MARINA BLVD, SAN LEANDRO, CA 94577) TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 94,000.
THE SYNC INTOUCH SYSTEM IN MY 2015 FORD FUSION IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY. FOR EXAMPLE, WHEN I GO TO MY CLIMATE SETTING IT STATES TEMPORARY LOST COMMUNICATION WITH THE CLIMATE SYSTEM. I'M NOT ABLE TO TURN MY VOLUME ON OR OFF/UP OR DOWN, OR CHANGE THE RADIO STATION. I'M ALSO NOT ABLE TO ROLL DOWN MY PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW. THE ISSUE HAPPENS WHETHER I'M STATIONARY OR DRIVING. *TR
BOUGHT USED IN FEB 2019. IN JULY OF SAME YEAR IT WAS DIAGNOSED BLOWN HEAD GASKET CYL 2. OUT OF WARRANTY SO HAD TO PAY $3,100.00 TO REPLACE. NOW, 9 MONTHS LATER, SAME THING CYLINDER 2. IN DECEMBER OF 2019 FORD CAME OUT WITH BULLETIN TSB 19-2375 STATING THE BLOCK NEEDS REPLACED TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM. THAT IS AN OVER $6,000.00 REPAIR. I CALL THAT A DEFECTIVE BLOCK WHICH SHOULD WARRANT A RECALL, FORD SIMPLY TOLD ME IT'S CALLED OUT OF WARRANTY AND IT'S MY PROBLEM. MY PROBLEM IS, IT'S MY ONLY FORM OF TRANSPORTATION. SO WHAT IT IS DOING IS WHEN I START IT, IT RUNS ROUGH BECAUSE IT IS MISFIRING DO TO COOLANT LEAK INTO THE CYLINDER AND WHITE SMOKE COMES OUT OF EXHAUST. IT IS MY BELIEF THAT FORD KNOWS THIS IS A DEFECTIVE BLOCK OTHERWISE THEY WOULD NOT HAVE ISSUED THE BULLETIN. AN INTERNET SEARCH WILL SHOW MANY OTHER OWNERS OF THE 2014 THROUGH 2019 PRODUCED 1.5 LITER MOTORS HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. I TRIED TO UPLOAD THE REPAIR BILL AND THE TSB BULLETIN BUT IT STATED FILE TOO BIG.
THE DOOR LATCH OF THE REAR LEFT DOOR WON'T LATCH. I AM UNABLE TO CLOSE THE DOOR (DOOR STAYS OPEN, UNLOCKED). I TRIED NUMEROUS TIMES TO SHUT THE DOOR CLOSED UNSUCCESSFULLY. THE CAR WAS STATIONARY THIS MORNING WHEN I WENT AND OPENED THE DOOR, BUT WHEN I TRIED TO CLOSE I NOTICE THE DOOR STAYS LOOSE OPEN.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000.
FORD FUSIONS HAVING A COOLANT LEAK INTO THE ENGINE . I'VE HEARD FROM MULTIPLE PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE & NOW I'M HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM AFTER ONLY HAVING MY FUSION FOR TWO YEARS & STILL MAKING PAYMENTS. CAR MAKES A SLOSHING NOISE IN DASHBOARD WHEN ACCELERATING , TURNING OR BRAKING & CAR OVERHEATS DUE TO COOLANT LEAKING INTO ENGINE & HAVING TO CONSTANTLY REFILL COOLANT . *TR
HAS PROBLEMS STARTING AFTER PUTTING GAS IN THE TANK. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON, MECHANIC SAYS IT'S A PURGE VALVE. KNOW ALOT OF OTHER FUSION OWNERS WITH SAME PROBLEM. SEEMS TO BE HAPPENING AROUND 40,000 MILES. HAVE TO SIT AT GAS STATION ABOUT 10 TO 15 MIN SOMETIMES. OTHERS TIMES JUST STARTS ROUGH.

IN OCT. 2019 I BOUGHT A 2015 FORD FUSION SE WITH 65K MILES ON IT. SINCE THEN I HAVE PUT 4K MILES ON IT. ON 3/17/20 MY CAR STARTED CUTTING OUT AND THE SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT CAME ON. I DROVE IT 1/2 MILE TO THE NEAREST STORE AND CALLED MY FRIEND TO BRING HIS CAR CODE READER. IT WAS SHOWING A MISFIRE ON CYLINDER 2. WENT AND GOT A SPARK PLUG AND NEW COIL PACK AND PUT ON IT. THE CAR WAS RUNNING ROUGH AND WAS STILL SHOWING A MISFIRE ON CYLINDER 2. HAD THE CAR TOWED TO A REPAIR SHOP IN PRATTVILLE, AL. TO SEE WHY IT WAS STILL SHOWING A MISFIRE ON CYLINDER 2. I WAS TOLD THAT THERE WAS A CRACK IN THE HEAD AROUND CYLINDER 2. I CALLED RIVERSIDE CHEVROLET IN WETUMPKA, AL BECAUSE THAT IS WHERE I BOUGHT THE CAR. THE CALLED COLLIER FORD IN WETUMPKA, AL BECAUSE OF THE LOW MILES ON IT TO SEE IF THEY COULD LOOK AT IT FOR ME AND POSSIBLE HELP ME OUT WITH THE COST. I HAD IT TOWED TO COLLIER FORD AND WAS TOLD THAT THE BLOCK IS CRACKED AND THAT THE SERVICE MANAGER AT COLLIER FORD AND THE GENERAL MANAGER AT RIVERSIDE CHEVROLET WAS IN CONTACT WITH FORD TO SEE IF THEY CAN GET THIS RESOLVED FOR ME. AS OF TODAY 3/25/20 I STILL DON'T HAVE AN ANSWER AS TO IF FORD IS GOING TO REPLACE MY MOTOR. I NOTICED AFTER DOING RESEARCH THAT THIS IS AN COMMON PROBLEM. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THIS HASN'T BECOME A RECALL YET. FORD NEEDS TO STAND BEHIND THERE PRODUCT.
AFTER GETTING GAS THE VEHICLE HESITATES TO START. ONCE STARTED AND PRESSING OF THE GAS PEDAL THE CAR RESIST MOVING FORWARD. ON OCCASION A LOUD AIR SOUND COMES FROM WHERE GAS IS PUMPED IN. IF I STOP TO OPEN THE GAS DOOR AND RELEASE THE AIR IN THE LINE THE CAR CREATES ANOTHER LOUD SOUND LIKE AIR OUT OF A TIRE. YOU CAN SMELL GAS AROUND THE VEHICLE WHETHER I PUMP IT IN OR NOT. THIS HAS HAPPEN ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS BUT THE LAST TIME WAS ON MARCH 12, 2020.
I BEGAN TO HEAR A SCRAPPING NOISE IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. I TOOK THE CAR TO HAVE THE OIL CHANGED AND WAS TOLD THAT I NEEDED TO HAVE THE TRANSMISSION FLUID CHANGED AND IT WAS A CLOSED SYSTEM AND ONLY FORD WOULD BE ABLE TO DO THIS. I TOOK MY CAR TO KNOX FORD WHERE I PURCHASED IT AND HAD THEM CHANGE THE TRANSMISSION FLUID AND DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. I WAS TOLD THAT THE WATER PUMP WAS BAD AND NEEDED REPLACED. AFTER INVESTIGATING I FOUND THAT THIS WAS TIMING DRIVEN AND AGAIN ONLY FORD COULD DO THIS REPAIR. I TOOK THE CAR IN THE NIGHT BEFORE AND THEY QUOTED ME 672.00 FOR THE REPAIR. I WAS TOLD THIS WOULD TAKE 4.5 HOURS TO COMPLETE. AT 5PM THE FOLLOWING DAY I PICKED UP MY VEHICLE ONLY TO FIND OUT THEY HAD JUST FINISHED IT. I WAS TOLD THEN THAT IT TOOK LONGER BECAUSE THE ORIGINAL WATER PUMP WAS DISCONTINUED BECAUSE FORD KNEW THE PART WAS BAD. THEY CONTINUED TO TELL ME THAT THEY HAD TO RESEARCH HOW TO CUT THE WIRES THAT WERE NO LONGER NEEDED AND INSTALL THE NEW WATER PUMP. V
RIGHT REAR DOOR LOCK DOES NOT REMAIN LOCKED, EVEN WHEN CAR IS IN MOTION. YOU ARE ABLE TO UNLOCK AND OPEN THE DOOR FROM THE INSIDE WHEN VEHICLE IS IN MOTION. THIS HAPPENS ON CITY STREETS AT 30 MPH OR GOING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AT 55 MPH. FIRST NOTICED IN MARCH 2020, BUT ONGOING. MY GRANDSON SITS IN THE REAR IN HIS CAR SEAT AND HAD ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS HE CAN OPEN THE DOOR, WHILE DRIVING DOWN ROAD.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE LOCAL DEALER COLONIAL FORD LOCATED AT 126 FEDERAL RD #126, DANBURY, CT 06811, WHO DIAGNOSED THAT ENGINE CYLINDER #2 WAS DEFECTIVE, AND THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE, BUT OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 126,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
EARLIER THIS YEAR IN FEBRUARY, VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION AND FAILED TO ACCELERATE. AFTER ANOTHER ATTEMPT WAS ABLE TO GET CAR TO ACCELERATE AND MADE IT HOME. CAR WAS SHAKING AND SMOKE COMING FROM TAILPIPE. CAR WAS TOWED TO DEALERSHIP FOR DIAGNOSTICS AND WAS TOLD I NEEDED A NEW ENGINE DUE TO COOLANT LEAKING INTO ENGINE. HAD ENGINE REPLACED AND NOW 8 MONTHS LATER, I'M HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. CAR IS SHAKING UPON START AND ENGINE LIGHT IS ON. FORD HASN'T DECLARED A RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE, EVEN AFTER MULTIPLE REPORTS OF THIS BEING A KNOWN PROBLEM.
THE LUG NUTS MAKE IT IMPOSSIBLE TO REMOVE WITH EITHER THE TOOL FORD PROVIDED, A 4 WAY WRENCH OR SOCKETS WHEN I GOT A FLAT. I COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED FIGHTING WITH THIS ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. I BELIEVE FORD SHOULD HAVE TO REPLACE ALL OF THESE LUG NUTS AS A SAFETY CONCERN SINCE THEY ARE DEFECTIVE.
STEERING SYSTEM HAS COMPLETELY LOCKED ON INITIAL STARTING VEHICLE. CAR WILL SHIFT INTO DRIVE AND REVERSE, BUT WILL NOT STEER LEFT OR RIGHT. THIS HAPPENED ON TWO OCCASIONS, 2/14 AND 15/2020. STEERING WILL ONLY BECOME OPERATIONAL AFTER CAR HAS BECOME HEATED, AFTER APPROXIMATELY 20 MINUTES. THIS ALL HAPPENED EARLY MORNING HOUR OF TEMPERATURE OF APPROXIMATELY 8 DEGREES. THIS ALSO HAPPENED ON MY LAST FORD FUSION 2010, WHICH I TRADED IN FOR THIS FORD FUSION.
THE ENTIRE CENTER CONSOLE INSTRUMENT PANEL STOPS WORKING. THE RADIO WILL NOT WORK AND THE CLIMATE CONTROL AND REAR DEFROSTER WILL NOT WORK. I AM UNABLE TO DEFROST THE WINDOWS OR KEEP THE ENTIRE CABIN OF THE CAR WARM. IT FIRST HAPPENED THIS MORNING WHEN I WAS HEADED TO WORK. I DROVE THE CAR FOR APPROXIMATELY ONE MILE, AND EVERYTHING STOPPED WORKING. I PULLED OVER AND SHUT THE CAR DOWN AND RESTARTED IT, EVERYTHING WORKED FOR APPROXIMATELY A MINUTE BEFORE SHUTTING DOWN AGAIN.
MY CAR WAS PARKED AND WHEN I TURNED IT BACK ON I DIDN'T HAVE POWER STEERING. IT HAS BEEN DIAGNOSED A FORD DEALER (DOVI MOTORS, CORTLAND, NY) AS MY POWER STEERING GEAR MOTOR DETACHED DUE TO THE BOLTS CORRODING THAT RESULTED IN A LOSS OF POWER STEERING AND UNSAFE DRIVING. THERE IS AN ACTIVE RECALL FOR THE YEAR/MAKE/MODEL OF MY CAR FOR THIS EXACT ISSUE BUT MY VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL (NUMBER 19S26). THIS RECALL NEEDS TO BE RE-EVALUATED TO PREVENT INJURY TO OTHERS AFFECTED.
THE CONNECTOR TO THE FRONT HEATED AND COOLED SEAT MODULE NEARLY CAUGHT FIRE, WITHOUT ANY INTERVENTION OR ALTERATION.
VEHICLE HAS 100,215 MILES AND IS 5 YEARS OLD MID JANUARY 2020 CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. CODE 303 - CYLINDER 3 MISFIRE. CHANGED SPARK PLUGS. SAME CODE. HAD VEHICLE CHECKED BY PRIVATE MECHANIC. COOLANT LOCATED IN CYLINDER 3. CASE STARTED WITH FORD MOTOR CO. VEHICLE TAKEN TO FORD DEALERSHIP WHERE IT WAS ORGINALLY PURCHASED. AFTER ADDING DYE TO THE COOLANT THEY VERIFIED THE CYLINDER #3 LEAK. THEY RECCOMEND AN ENGINE REPLACEMENT - $6550.20. THEY OFFERED TO BUY VEHICLE FROM US FOR $1500.00. OH, AND I SHOULD MENTION THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OFFICIALLY PAID OFF ONE WEEK BEFORE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THIS ALL STARTED. SEE ATTACHED INVOICE FROM FEBRUARY 2020
The contact owns a 2015 Ford Fusion. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle shuddered and there was white smoke coming from the exhaust pipes. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where it was diagnosed that there was a coolant leak into the engine and that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken to a local independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the ignition coils and spark plugs needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken back to the local dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the engine needed to be replaced again. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 86,000.
MY SISTERS VEHICLE HAS STARTED ROLLING DOWN HER DRIVEWAY AND SHE GOT BACK IN THE CAR AND SEEN THAT THERE IS A TRANSMISSION NOT IN PARK MESSAGE AND WE FOUND THAT THE GEAR SELECTOR CABLE HAS BROKE OFF THE GEAR SELECTOR LEVER. IT IS NOT SAFE FOR MY SISTER TO DRIVE THIS VEHICLE. IT'S A DRIVING HAZARD. I HAVE FOUND A RECALL FROM 2014 ABOUT POTENTIAL VEHICLE ROLLAWAY FOR HER VEHICLE BUT IT'S NOT OPEN ON HER VEHICLE ANYMORE. SHE HAD THIS PROBLEM BEFORE AND TOOK IT INTO THE DEALERSHIP TO GET THIS FIXED AND IT HAPPENS AGAIN

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE SHUDDERED WHILE DRIVING WITH AN ABNORMAL KNOCKING SOUND COMING FROM THE ENGINE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO FORD OF TUSCOLA, INC (406 E SOUTHLINE RD, TUSCOLA, IL 61953, (217) 253-3353) TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT COOLANT LEAKED INTO THE CYLINDER AND THAT THE ENGINE BLOCK NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE REPAIR WAS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY OR A RECALL. A CASE WAS FILED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 55,000.
MILEAGE OF CAR IS 53,100. WIFE (DRIVER) REPORTED THAT WHILE DRIVING IN NORMAL TRAFFIC AT NIGHT, THE CAR LOST ALL ELECTRICAL POWER: LIGHTS, MOTOR FUNCTION, RADIO, ETC. SHE TURNED ON THE EMERGENCY FLASHERS AND CAME TO A STOP. SHE TURNED THE KEY TO RESTART AND CAR FUNCTIONED NORMALLY. I CHECKED THE CAR THE FOLLOWING DAY AND NO PROBLEMS DETECTED.
I WAS DRIVING BACK FROM GROCERY SHOPPING WHEN I LOST CONTROL OVER STEERING. THE MOMENT WHEN I LOST CONTROL WAS DURING MY SLIGHT RIGHT TURN MOVING AT SPEED OF ABOUT 30MPH I DID NOT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED AT THE MOMENT BECAUSE I WAS MORE FOCUSED TO NOT HIT ANYONE PRESENR AT THAT MOMENT ON THE ROAD. GOOD THING IS THAT SCHOOL ACROSS THE ROAD WAS CLOSED BECAUSE TIMING WHEN THIS HAPPEN WAS AROUND THE TIME WHEN PARENTS USUALLY PICK THEIR KIDS FOR SCHOOL. AFTER I PARKED CAR I INVESTIGATE TO SEE WHAT HAD HAPPEN. THERE WERE THREE MESSAGES INDICATING THAT SOMETHING WAS WRONG: 1. STEERING ASSIST FAULT - SERVICE REQUIRED, 2. SERVICE ADVANCETRAC AND 3. HILL START ASSIST NOT AVAILABLE. I WAS SEARCHING TODAY TO SEE OTHER PEOPLE EXPERIANCE AND RESULTS WERE POSITIVE A LOT OF CASES LIKE THIS ONE. THINGS THAT ALL REPORTS HAVE IN COMMON IS THAT ALL OWNERS NEEDED TO PAY TO FIX CAR NO OPTION FOR RECAL. EVENTHOUGH THAT MODELS LIKE THIS ONE USED TO HAVE SEVERAL THINGS THAT NEEDED TO BE CHANGED ON SIMILAT THINGS IN THE PAST.
DRIVING FROM CA TO CO FOR CHRISTMAS. WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD, THE "DOOR OPEN" LIGHT CAME ON AND THE CHIME SOUNDED AS LOCKED LEFT REAR DOOR OPENED!! UNACCEPTABLE FOR A COMPANY THAT HAS MADE VEHICLES FOR OVER 100 YEARS! I DID A GOOGLE SEARCH ON THE PROBLEM LOOKING FOR A FIX. I FOUND A RECALL FOR YEARS 2013-2014 ONLY. NO RECALL FOR MY 2015, WHEN IT IS OBVIOUS THE COST SAVING MEASURES STILL APPLY. I HAD TO TIE THE DOOR CLOSED WITH THE SEATBELT, BUT IT'S NOT TIGHT ENOUGH TO KEEP THE WARNINGS OFF. NO ONE CAN SIT IN THE BACK SEAT DUE TO SEATBELTS BEING USED! WE ARE AFRAID THE OTHER DOOR LATCHES WILL SOON FAIL AS WELL. WE STILL HAVE TO DRIVE BACK TO CA! *DT *DL
TRAVELING IN TRAFFIC AROUND 25 MPH WITH TRAFFIC SLOWING TO A STOP THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT SOFT AND WAS PRESSED TO THE FLOOR WITH ALMOST NO BRAKING AT ALL. THIS RESULTED IN A REAR END COLLISION.

THIS HAPPENED ON 9/28/2019. TOOK TO NTB NEXT DAY ON 9/29/2019 TO HAVE PRESSURE TEST ON COOLANT SYSTEM. CAR SAT TILL MONDAY 10/30. NTB MISDIAGNOSED ISSUES STATING OVERFLOW RESERVOIR HAD SLOW LEAK. ON 10/1 NTB IDENTIFIED THAT THERE WAS A BLOWN GASKET SOMEWHERE ON THE CARS ENGINE THAT CAUSED COOLANT TO LEAK INTO ENGINE. 3 OF 4 SPARK PLUGS SATURATED WITH ENGINE COOLANT AND CAR WOULD NOT START. ON 10/1 CAR IMMEDIATELY TOWED TO NEAREST FORD MOTOR SERVICE CENTER. ENGINE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT ENGINE INNER COOLER ASSEMBLY AND INTAKE MANIFOLD ASSEMBLY HAD BLOWN AND COOLANT ENTERED THE ENGINE. THIS RESULTED IN NEARLY $1,400 WORTH OF INITIAL REPAIRS AND POSES A SAFETY HAZARD. FORD ENGINE TECHNICIAN STATED HE HAS SEEN A SIMILAR ISSUES ON QUITE A FEW OF THESE CARS. UPON INVESTIGATION I HAVE FOUND THAT IN 2017 THE 2013-2014 FORD FUSION HAD A RECALL FOR RELATED ISSUES THAT CAUSED COOLANT TO LEAK INTO THE ENGINE AND MAY POSSIBLY CAUSE THE ENGINE TO START ON FIRE. CURRENTLY MANY CUSTOMER REPORTS ON THE 2015 FUSION AS WELL BUT NO ACTION ON FORD MOTORS BEHALF.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND "TRANSMISSION NOT IN PARK" APPEARED ON THE MESSAGE CENTER. THE CONTACT PULLED THE VEHICLE OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE. THE FOLLOWING DAY, THE VEHICLE WAS PICKED UP BY LAFAYETTE FORD LINCOLN (5202 RAEFORD RD, FAYETTEVILLE, NC 28304) AND THEY ALSO BROUGHT A LOANER VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE SAME DEALER SIX TIMES, BUT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 74,000.
