THERE HAS BEEN MANY ISSUES WITH THE FRONT END OF MY CAR. BOTH STRUTS HAVE BEEN REPLACED AT 22,000 MILES. THE SWAY BAR LINK WAS ALSO REPLACED.I AM NOW AT 23,000 MILES EXPERIENCING A NOISE LIKE A BALL JOINT CLUNKING IN THE PASSENGER FRONT AND THE DEALERSHIPS CANNOT FIGURE OUT WHAT IS MAKING THE NOISE. I HAVE BROUGHT IT TO 2 SEPARATE DEALERSHIPS FOR A SYNOPSIS. STILL NOTHING. ALSO, THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTS VERY ROUGH AND SLAMS INTO THE NEXT GEAR FROM 2-3. I PURCHASED THIS CAR FROM SPORT AUTOMOTIVE USED CARS ON OCTOBER 2017. EVER SINCE NOTHING BUT ISSUES. VERY DISSATISFIED WITH THIS VEHICLE. ESPECIALLY SINCE FORDS HAVE ALWAYS BEEN PURCHASED IN MY FAMILY.
MY STEERING WHEEL BECAME LOOSE WHILE DRIVING
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD VEER TO THE LEFT AND THERE WAS A LOSS OF POWER STEERING ABILITY. THE STEERING ASSIST FAULT, BATTERY, TRACTION CONTROL, AND STABILITRAK WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO TRI LAKES FORD (180 STATE HWY T, BRANSON, MO) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE STEERING GEAR WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 18V167000 (STEERING). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 96,000. FORD SYNC LOOSE CONNECTIVITY ONCE A MONTH, ONLY WAY TO RESET IS TO UNPLUG THE BATTERY WHEN THIS HAPPENS. THIS A DEFECT OF DRIVING SAFETY AND HANDSFREE DRIVING.
SHIFT LEVER CABLE BROKE. VEHICLE WOULD NOT SHIFT OUT OF DRIVER. SHIFT LEVER IS MADE OF PLASTIC AND FELL APART.
THE STEERING BECAME A LITTLE WOBBLY OVER THE PAST TWO WEEKS AND ON SATURDAY 9/23)17 WHILE DRIVING TO ATHENS WENT TO TURN IN GAS STATION AND THE STEERING WHEEL FELL OFF IN MY LAP. MY INSURANCE AGENT HAPPENED TO BE RIDING IN THE DARK WHEN IT HAPPENED AS WAS MY GRANDSON. I HAVE AT LEAST 6 OTHER WITNESSES.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING, THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE FAILURE ALSO OCCURRED AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS REFUELED. THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER (SISK FAMILY FORD, INC, 565 OAK ST, FOREST CITY, NC 28043) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR SWITCH NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS LATER TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR A SECOND OPINION WHO CONFIRMED THE DEALERS DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT THERE WAS FUEL PRESSURE BUILDING UP IN THE FUEL TANK AND STATED THAT THERE WAS A LOUD NOISE COMING FROM THE FUEL TANK. IN ADDITION, THE FUEL PRESSURE WAS HIGH AND PRIOR TO THE LOUD NOISE THERE WOULD BE A FUEL ODOR PRESENT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER OR THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 125,000.
I HAD TO REPLACE THE FRONT PASSENGER BRAKE LINE IN 2017 DUE TO A LEAK. LESS THAN A YEAR LATER, JULY 2018, THE SAME THING HAPPENED AND I HAD TO REPLACE THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE FRONT BRAKE LINE DUE TO A LEAK. I REALIZED THERE WAS AN ISSUE WHEN I WAS DRIVING & THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR. ONLY AFTER ABOUT 15 MINUTES DID THE LOW BRAKE FLUID LIGHT COME ON AFTER EACH OCCURRENCE. I HAD MY CAR AT THE DEALER LAST WEEK FOR A RECALL REPAIR AND OVERHEAR ANOTHER CUSTOMER WITH A 2015 FUSION SAY SHE HAD A BRAKE LINE LEAK.
WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE AT A LOW SPEED (ABOUT 10 MPH) IN TRAFFIC, THE CAR SHUT OFF. AS I PUSHED ON THE GAS PEDAL, IT FELT AS THOUGH IT WAS STALLING OR JUTTING FORWARD, AND THEN THE CAR WOULD TURN OFF. I WAS ABLE TO TURN THE CAR BACK ON AND EXIT THE HIGHWAY TO PARK, AND THE CAR TURNED OFF ONCE MORE AS I WAS EXITING. I PARKED THE CAR, WAS ABLE TO TURN IT BACK ON AND ATTEMPTED TO DRIVE IT AROUND THE PARKING LOT. THE CAR WAS TOWED TO A CAR SHOP IN WHICH THEY WERE UNABLE TO INDICATE ANY PROBLEMS AS A DAY LATER THEY WERE ABLE TO DRIVE IT PERFECTLY NORMALLY. IT HAS NOT HAPPENED SINCE, THIS HAPPENED ABOUT FIVE MONTHS AGO.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD FUSION HYBRID. WHILE DRIVING 10 MPH, THE CHECK BRAKE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, THE BRAKES FAILED TO ENGAGE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS EVENTUALLY ABLE TO STOP AFTER DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL TO THE FLOORBOARD. PRIOR TO THE FAILURE, THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED AND WORKED FINE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT TEST DRIVEN. THE MECHANIC DISCOVERED THAT THERE WERE NO BRAKES. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO GARNET FORD (1610 WILMINGTON PIKE, WEST CHESTER, PA 19382 (610) 358-5600) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT RODENTS CHEWED THE BODY HARNESS, WHICH NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND A CASE WAS OPENED. THE CONTACT RESEARCHED THE FAILURE ONLINE AND FOUND OUT THE WIRES WERE MADE WITH A SOY MATERIAL THAT ATTRACTED RODENTS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 45,711. I AM FILING THIS COMPLAINT DUE THE NUMBER OF DOCUMENTED OCCURRENCES OF SUN ROOFS CRACKING OR EXPLODING ON FORD FUSION AND OTHER FORD BRANDED VEHICLES. ON 9/1/2017 WHILE OPENING THE SUN ROOF HEARD POP SOUND. THE SUN ROOF OPENED ABOUT 5 INCHES. I RETURNED IT TO THE CLOSED POSITION AND FOUND THE SUN ROOF CRACKED IN A RECTANGULAR PATTERN ACROSS THE ENTIRE GLASS. THE CAR HAD BEEN PARKED FROM 9:00 AM PST UNTIL 5:00 PM PST AT MY WORK SITE WITH ALL 4 WINDOWS CRACKED ABOUT 1/2 TO 1 INCH. AS WELL I NOTICED THAT ON THE BACKSEAT DRIVER SIDE THE HEAD LINER HAD DETACHED FROM ROOF AND BELOW WEATHER STRIPPING. ATTEMPTED TO PUSH IT BACK UP BUT IT WILL NOT STAY AFTER THE SUNROOF CRACKED. ENTERING THE CAR I ROLLED ALL WINDOWS DOWN, TURNED ON AC WHICH WAS SET AT 64 DEGREES AND THEN ATTEMPTED TO OPEN THE SUN ROOF BEFORE DRIVING OFF. ALL WINDOWS AND OPEN SUN ROOF WAS TO HELP EVACUATE WARM AIR THAT REMAINED IN THE CAR AS IT WAS PARKED DURING THE DAY. CURRENTLY THE CAR HAS 9961 MILES ON THE ODOMETER. CARE IS DRIVEN ABOUT 6 MILES MONDAY - FRIDAY FROM MY HOME TO WORK AND BACK.
WHEN DRIVING THE CAR AT HIGHER SPEEDS THE STEERING WHEEL PULLS TO THE LEFT OR RIGHT. IT FEELS LIKE I HAVE TO WORK AT DRIVING THE VEHICLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 40 MPH, THE VEHICLE LOST POWER WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO PROVIDE A DIAGNOSIS. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TOWED TO SAYVILLE FORD LOCATED AT 5686 SUNRISE HWY, SAYVILLE, NY 11782 WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT COOLANT WAS LEAKING AND BEING BURNED INSIDE THE ENGINE MANIFOLD AND THE COOLER INTAKE MANIFOLD, RELATED GASKETS AND SEALS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, HOWEVER, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO SABLE FORD, WHERE THE VEHICLE HAD NOT YET BEEN DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO FILE A COMPLAINT WITH NHTSA. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 83,000. ..UPDATED 10/25/17 *BF *JS
SOFT AND LOW BRAKE PEDAL. SO I HAVE A2015 FORD FUSION SE I RECENTLY CHANGED MY PADS AND ROTOR ON. WHILE ON,THE LIFT MY BATTERY DIED. AFTER PUTTING IT BACK TOGETHER ANSLD BOOSTING MY CAR I THEN HAD A SOFT BRAKE AND THE PEDAL WOULD NOT ENGAGE UNTIL EXTREMELY FAR DOWN, I HAVE SHOP HAS BLED THE SYSTEM NUMEROUS TIMES CHANGED THE MASTER CYLINDER AND STILL NOTHING. I WAS TOLD IT COULD,BE A CALIPER DOING,THIS AND IALSO,SEEN ONLINE IT COULD BE THE ABS MOD. EVERYTHING I HAVE READ IS LEADING TO THE ABS MODULE BUT NOTHING CAN BE PROVED SO I'M LEFT TO DUMP MONEY IN PARTS AND HOPE IT GETS FIXED. FIXING TGUNGS THAT ARE NOT BROKE IS INSANE IN MY EYES......
PULLED UP TO MY DESTINATION, PUT VEHICLE IN PARK, TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF AND BEGAN TO EXIT THE VEHICLE. AS I EXITED VEHICLE IT BEGAN TO ROLL BACKWARDS. I FELL BACK INTO CAR AND ABRUPTLY APPLIED THE BRAKES. THE CAR SHIFTER HAD NOT GONE INTO PARK WHEN I MOVED IT UPWARDS TOWARDS PARK AND INSTEAD HAD GOTTEN LOCKED IN NEUTRAL. I WAS STILL ABLE TO REMOVE THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION EVEN THOUGH IT HAD NOT ENGAGED IN PARK AND TURNED THE CAR OFF. NOW GEAR SHIFTER IS STUCK IN NEUTRAL AND WILL NOT MOVE. TOOK THE VEHICLE TO BOGGUS FORD AND THEY SAY THAT PROBLEM IS NOT UNDER POWER TRAIN WARRANTY. FORD RECALLED 2014-2015 FORD FUSIONS FOR THIS EXACT PROBLEM ON NOVEMBER 18, 2014 BUT NOW THEY TELL ME THAT MY CAR WAS NOT MADE AT THE PARTICULAR PLANT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL SO MY ISSUE ISN'T COVERED. AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THE ATTACHED PHOTO MY KEY IS SITTING ON TOP OF THE STEERING WHEEL WITH THE VEHICLE NOT IN PARK INDICATOR LIGHT ON AND THE VEHICLE OFF.
TRANSMISSION SHIFT CABLE BROKE. VEHICLE WILL NOT SHIFT OUT OF PARK. SHIFT CABLE CONNECTOR IS PLASTIC AND DISINTEGRATED.
ON MY COMMUTE TO WORK, THE PASSENGER DOOR FLEW UP BY ITSELF. NO ONE WAS IN THE VEHICLE WITH ME THANK GOD AND ALSO IT WAS A SINGLE LANE ROAD. I PULLED OVER IMMEDIATELY, REALIZED THAT MY LATCH WAS NOT LATCHING AND IT SEEMS TO BE BROKEN. TIED THE DOOR TOGETHER WITH MY BELT AND DROVE TO THE NEAREST GAS STATION.BOUGHT SOME TENSION BANDS TO HOLD THE DOOR FROM FLYING OPEN. WHEN I CALLED FORD ABOUT MY ISSUE, THEY ADVISE THERE WAS NOTHING THEY CAN DO BECAUSE MY WARRENTLY EXPIRED AND THERE IS NO RECALL ON MY VEHICLE. I SHOWED AND EXPLAINED TO THE REP THAT THERE ARE OTHER FORD FUSIONS WITH SIMILAR ISSUES. SHE RAN MY VIN AND TOLD ME THAT I WAS NOT ELIGIABLE AND THAT I WOULD HAVE TO COME OUT OF POCKET $535.....CALLED THER CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER, THE REP TOLD ME THAT SHE WILL FILE MY CLAIM AND I WILL RECEIVE AN EMAIL LETTING ME KNOW IF FORD WILL FIX IT OR NOT. THAT NEVER HAPPENED AND IT'S BEEN TWO WEEKS GOING ON 3 I HAVE BEEN RIDING ROUND WITH MY DOOR TIED UP UNTIL I CAN COME UP WITH THE FUNDS TO FIX IT.
ON JULY 26, 2017 I EXPERIENCED A NEAR TOTAL LOSS OF STEERING OF MY 2015 FORD FUSION WHILE DRIVING IN A PARKING GARAGE. WARNING LIGHTS INDICATING A LOSS OF POWER STEERING ASSIST AND OF TRACTION CONTROL ACTIVATED. STEERING RETURNED TO NORMAL AFTER RESTARTING THE VEHICLE. MY FORD DEALERSHIP WAS CONTACTED. I TRIED TO THEN DRIVE TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIR WHEN THE PROBLEM REPEATED ITSELF. I GOT SAFELY TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND ARRANGED FOR A TOW. THE PROBLEM WAS DIAGNOSED AS BEING A FAILED STEERING GEAR ASSEMBLY AND THE POWER STEERING RACK WAS REPLACED, COSTING $1,871.42. A BRIEF INTERNET SEARCH INDICATES THERE HAVE BEEN AT LEAST THREE RECALLS OF FUSIONS (AND OTHER FORD / LINCOLN MODELS) FOR POWER STEERING ASSIST FAILURE (6/11/2013; 5/2/2015; 6/27/2015). THIS IS APPARENTLY A COMMON PROBLEM WITH FUSIONS AND REPORTS OF SYMPTOMS IDENTICAL TO THOSE DESCRIBED HEREIN ARE NUMEROUS. THE ACTUAL FAILURE THAT CAUSED THIS EVENT IS UNKNOWN: CODES WERE PULLED THAT INDICATED THE ELECTRIC STEERING RACK ASSEMBLY NEEDED REPLACEMENT BUT THIS DOES NOT PINPOINT WHAT PART OF THE ASSEMBLY WAS AT FAULT. WHEN ASKED WHAT WOULD CAUSE THIS LOSS OF STEERING ON A VEHICLE HAVING 59,666 MILES ON IT, THE FORD SERVICE MANAGER SUGGESTED IT WAS DUE TO "DRIVING OVER ROUGH ROADS". THIS EXPLANATION, WHETHER TRUE OR NOT, IS ABSURD AND UNACCEPTABLE. THE VEHICLE IS OPERATED UNDER THE SAME ROAD CONDITIONS COMMON TO ALL DRIVERS. IF THE DESIGN AND MANUFACTURE OF THE FUSION STEERING SYSTEM IS DELICATE ENOUGH TO FAIL UNDER NORMAL USE IT SHOULD BE REPLACED. PROBLEMS THAT RESULT IN COMPROMISED STEERING OR BRAKING ARE LIFE-THREATENING. IT WOULD SEEM TO BE ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE THE ONGOING STEERING PROBLEMS WITH THE FUSION RESULTS IN DEATH.
ON JULY 23, I RECEIVED A CALL FROM MY WIFE SAYING HER CAR WOULD NOT START. AFTER STARTING THE CAR, WE NOTICE THE POWER STEERING WOULD NOT TURN. WARNING LIGHTS ON THE DASHBOARD FOR POWER STEERING FAILURE WAS FLASHING. ALONG WITH A FEW OTHER SERVICE ENGINE WARNING. WHILE WAITING FOR A TOW TRUCK, DID RESEARCH ON YOUTUBE TO SEE IF THIS WAS A COMMON PROBLEM. WELL,TO MY SURPRISE. YOUTUBE WAS LOADED WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. MY CAR IS JUST OVER TWO YEARS OLD.
RECENTLY, WHILE TRAVELING FROM CHICAGO, IL TO LAS VEGAS NEVADA, I EXPERIENCED MECHANICAL ISSUES WITH MY 2015 FORD FUSION. THE CAR BROKE DOWN IN LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, WHERE I TOOK IT TO A LOCAL REPAIR SHOP, DUE TO THE CLOSENESS OF THE WHERE IT BROKE DOWN. THE REPAIR SHOP STATED THAT THEY WOULD NEED A FEW DAYS TO DIAGNOSE THE VEHICLE. UNFORTUNATELY, I HAD NO MORE DAYS TO STAY IN VEGAS, AS I NEEDED TO RETURN HOME. THUS, I FLEW BACK TO CHICAGO, AND LEFT MY CAR IN LAS VEGAS, NEVADA IN THE CARE OF THE REPAIR SHOP FOR TESTING AND DIAGNOSIS AND REPAIR. THE REPAIR SHOP CALLED AND STATED THAT MY CAR NEEDED A NEW TRANSMISSION. THIS BEFUDDLED ME, AS MY CAR WAS JUST BARELY TWO YEARS OLD AND HAS LOW MILEAGE. UPON DOING SOME RESEARCH, I FOUND THAT FORD FUSIONS FROM 2013-2016 HAVE KNOWN MECHANICAL ISSUES WITH THE TRANSMISSION AND MANY HAVE ALREADY BEEN RECALLED. I CALLED THE FORD CORPORATE OFFICE AFTER THE REPAIR SHOP ADVISED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED REPLACING. I WAS ADVISED TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED TO A FORD DEALERSHIP. I HAD THE CAR TOWED TO FRIENDLY FORD, WHERE I AM WAITING FOR THE DIAGNOSIS TO BE COMPLETED. HOWEVER, I WAS ALREADY ADVISED THAT IF IN FACT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDS TO BE REPLACED, IT WOULD BE TAKE APPROXIMATELY 4-6 WEEKS TO BE COMPLETED. THIS PRESENTS A TREMENDOUS INCONVENIENCE TO ME, AS I AM IN CHICAGO AND MY VEHICLE IS 1800 MILES AWAY FROM ME, ESSENTIALLY USELESS TO MY DAY TO DAY ACTIVITIES WHICH INCLUDE SCHOOL, WORK, DOCTORS' APPOINTMENT ETC. I AM A FULL-TIME STUDENT, AND WORK FULL TIME. UNFORTUNATELY, RECENTLY I HAVE BECOME VERY ILL AND HAVE HAD TO CATCH RIDES TO MY VARIOUS DOCTORS' APPOINTMENTS. GETTING AROUND HAS BEEN SIGNIFICANTLY CHALLENGING WITH NO VEHICLE. I BELIEVE THAT FORD KNEW THAT THERE WERE TRANSMISSION FAILURES ON AND FAILED TO RECALL ALL OF THEM TO SAVE MONEY, AND AVOID EXPENSIVE REPAIR COSTS ON POORLY
TAKATA RECALL I DID A WHEEL ALIGMENT ON 2015 FORD FUSION CAUSE IT PULLS RIGHT REAL HARD ON ACCELERATION.THE ALIGMENT SAID IT WAS JUST FINE BUT THE TOE WAS OUT OF ADJUSTMENT IN THE FRONT AND REAR TIRES.THE CAR STILL PULLS RIGHT ON ECCELERATION AND NOW ITS PULLS HARDER SOMETIMES.MY OTHER PROBLEM IS I CAN'T PULL THE SEAT TO PUT IT ON IT'S STUCK AND FORD IS TELLING ME IT'S NOT A WARRANTY PROBLEM.I'M MAD FORD WONT FIX THERE SCREW UPS AND ONCE THIS IS FIXED I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER FORD PRODUCT AGAIN.
THE STEERING WHEEL HAS COME LOOSE. I HAVE HAD IT TIGHTENED AT LOCAL MECHANIC BUT IT HAS COME LOOSE AGAIN. MECHANIC ADVISED THE STEERING WHEEL BOLT HAD "BACKED" OUT. I AM CONCERNED THE STEERING WHEEL WILL COME LOOSE WHILE DRIVING. DATE OF OCCURRENCE BELOW IS ESTIMATE OF FIRST TIME NOTICED AND THE PROBLEM IS RECURRING.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD FUSION. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN REVERSE, THE BACKUP CAMERA FAILED TO CONNECT. AS A RESULT, THE SCREEN DISPLAY WAS BLANK. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DELACY FORD (3061 TRANSIT RD, ELMA, NY 14059, (716) 668-1200) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE CAMERA NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. DRIVING WITH SUDDEN LOSS IN POWER STEERING
DRIVER SIDE PASSENGER DOOR HANDLE BROKE AND THE LATCH TO LOCK THE DOOR TO THE FRAME DOES NOT HOLD UNLESS MANUALLY PUSHING THE LATCH ON THE DOOR ITSELF DOWN TO ENABLE THE LATCH TO CATCH AND HOLD THE BAR ON THE FRAME. OTHERWISE, THE DOOR IS NOT SECURED TO THE FRAME. THE DOOR HANDLE HAS BEEN STICKING FOR A FEW DAYS AND ON SUNDAY MAY 21, 2017 I TRIED TO OPEN THE DRIVER SIDE PASSENGER DOOR AND THE HANDLE PULLED AWAY FROM THE DOOR AND WOULD NOT OPEN. I HAD TO OPEN THE SAID DOOR FROM THE INSIDE. I TRIED PUSHING THE HANDLE BACK IN AND IT WOULD NOT PUSH IN. IT IS DANGEROUS AND AFRAID THE DOOR MAY OPEN DURING VEHICLE OPERATION.
I WAS DRIVING EARLIER THIS YEAR, TRAVELING DOWN THE INTERSTATE AT 70 MPH WHEN MY STEERING WHEEL CAME COMPLETELY LOOSE. I WAS ABLE TO GET PULLED OVER WITH NO DAMAGE, BUT DID HAVE TO GET IT TO A DEALERSHIP TO HAVE THE STEERING WHEEL PUT BACK ON PROPERLY. I WAS CHARGED BY THE DEALERSHIP FOR THE SERVICE.

THE CONTACT HAD TO STOP AND EXIT THE VEHICLE. THE POLICE DEPARTMENT ISSUED AN UNINTENTIONAL FIRE REPORT. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE AND ALSO FILED A REPORT. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 39,000.

WHILE GOING IN REVERSE DOWN AN INCLINE ALL THE DASH LIGHTS TURN ON AND STEERING LOCKS UP. THIS ALSO HAPPENS WHEN TURNING AND BRAKING AT THE SAME TIME. ON THE CITY STREETS IS WHEN IT WAS FIRST NOTICE. AFTER HAVING THE DEALER COMPUTER READ OUT AND MY REPAIR SHOP READ OUT BOTH SAID THE SAME THING. THIS REPAIR HAD TO BE MADE. RIGHT FRONT PASSENGER SIDE WHEEL ABS SENSOR AND HARNESS AND HAD TO REMOVE AND REPLACE THE WHEEL SPEED ABS SENSOR AND HARNESS. I HAVE UPLOADED ALL REPAIR/BILL AND DIAGNOSTICS ON THIS 2015 CAR. NO RECALLS FOR THIS PROBLEM HAVE BEEN REPORTED TO THE MAKER AS OF YET AND I HAVE CALLED THE MAKER OF THIS CAR'S CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPT AND ALSO ON LINE TO THE FACEBOOK WEBSITE AND HAVE FILED A REPORT. MY PARENTS FORD FUSION SE CAME WITH GOODYEAR EAGLE LS TIRES. ME FAILED TURNING OUT OF A DRIVEWAY SHORTLY AFTER MY PARENTS TOOK DELIVERY ON THE CAR. IN APRIL 2017, THE RIGHT FRONT TIRE SUDDENLY FAILED REQUIRING BOTH FRONT TIRES TO BE REPLACED. IN AUGUST 2017, THE NEW FRONT RIGHT GOODYEAR EAGLE LS TIRE DEVELOPED BBBLES ON THE SIDE WALL AND SUDDENLY FAILED NECESSITATING ANOTHER REPLACEMENT. PLEASE NOTE THAT TIRE FAILED AT 2,280 MILES, NOW BOTH GOODYEAR EAGLE LS TIRES ARE BALD AT THE SHOULDERS JUST SIX MONTHS LATER. I CONTACTED GOODYEAR WHO OFFERED US A MERE $$47.95 FOR ONE FAILED TIRE AND $32.88 FOR THE OTHER WHEN THESE TIRES COST US $198/PER TIRE. GOODYEAR SUPPOSEDLY WARRANTS THEM FOR SIX YEARS. CUSTOMER SUPPORT WAS HOSTILE. BECAUSE I BE,I EVE THESE TIRES ARE DEFECTIVE, I WANTED FOUR NEW TIRES. GOODYEAR SAID IF THEY DID ANYTHING I'D BE FORCED TO TAKE MORE GOODYEAR TIRES. I PAID FOR FOUR NEW MICHELIN TIRES TO PROTECT MY FAMILY. WE ONLY HAVE 28,138 MILES ON THIS CAR BUT HAVE HAD TO REPLACE SIX GOODYEAR EAGLE LS TIRES FOR SUDDEN FAILURE. WHY ON EARTH HAVEN'T THEY BEEN RECALLED.
I WAS DRIVING IN HEAVY TRAFFIC -- LOTS OF STOP AND GO -- WHEN MY KNEE HIT THE IGNITION KEY FOB AND APPARENTLY TURNED IT INTO THE ACC POSITION. CAR SHUT DOWN AND MESSAGE "TRANSMISSION NOT IN PARK" APPEARED ON THE DISPLAY. I TURNED ON THE EMERGENCY BLINKERS AND DRIFTED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE 4-LANE HIGHWAY. AFTER STOPPING AND PUTTING IT IN PARK I RESTARTED THE ENGINE. CAR IS USUALLY DRIVEN BY 5' 3" DRIVER WITHOUT THIS PROBLEM; BUT I AM 6" 3" AND MY KNEE CONTINUALLY HITS THE IGNITION KEY FOB AS I MOVE MY FOOT FROM THE ACCELERATOR TO THE BRAKE. TO SAY THAT THIS IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM FOR TALL DRIVERS OF THE FORD FUSION WOULD BE AN UNDERSTATEMENT!

THE DEALER REPLACED THE TOTAL CONTROL MODULE BACK IN JANUARY, BUT THE FAILURE CONTINUED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 32,000.
WHILE DRIVING, MY VEHICLE OVERHEATED. CHECKED COOLANT LEVEL, AND IT WAS LESS THAN HALF FULL. I REFILLED COOLANT TO RECOMMENDED LEVEL, AND PROCEEDED TO DRIVE. TWO WEEKS LATER, IT OVERHEATED AGAIN, AND MY COOLANT WAS LOW AGAIN. REFILLED AND MONITORED FOR LEAKS. NO LEAKS. THEN VEHICLE BEGAN MISFIRING. DIAGNOSED WITH CYLINDER 3 MISFIRE. REPLACED SPARK PLUGS AND COIL PACKS. STILL MISFIRING. REDIAGNOSED WITH CYLINDER 3 MISFIRE. THEN IT JUST DIED. WOULD NOT START. ACTED AS THOUGH IT WAS FLOODING. DIAGNOSED WITH NO ADDITIONAL ISSUES BY DEALERSHIP. THEN DISCOVERED TSB FOR A BOLT THAT WAS BACKING OUT OF THE INTERCOOLER AND INTO THE MANIFOLD. THIS ISSUE WAS ALLOWING COOLANT TO FLOOD THE MANIFOLD AND CAUSE MISFIRING. GOT THAT FIXED AS WELL AS THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER AND TURBO UNIT FOR THE CAR WHICH WERE DAMAGED AS A RESULT OF THE COOLANT ISSUE. $5,000 IN REPAIRS FOR A MANUFACTURING DEFECT THAT COULD HAVE LEFT MY FAMILY AND I STRANDED IN THE DESERT HEAT WITHOUT A/C OR IN THE SUB-ZERO SNOWY MOUNTAINS WITHOUT HEAT SINCE THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT EVEN START. AS A FAMILY, WE TRAVEL EXTENSIVELY. THIS IS DEFINITELY A SAFETY ISSUE!!!!!
TODAY, 21 FEBRUARY 2017 - 6:50PM, ON OUR WAY HOME APPROACHING CROWLEY ROAD IN BURLESON, TEXAS, THE BRAKE SYSTEM STARTED WARNING THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE BRAKES. WE STOPPED THE CAR IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC BECAUSE THE BRAKING BECAME UNSTABLE AND WERE ALMOST REAR ENDED. WE TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF, WAITED ABOUT 2 MINUTES AND TURNED IT BACK ON. WE CONTINUED AT A SLOW PACE UNTIL WE ARRIVED HOME AND THE BRAKE SYSTEM WAS STILL DISPLAYING AN ERROR. THE EMERGENCY BRAKE WOULD NOT SET EITHER. I DECIDED TO RUN A VEHICLE SAFETY REPORT. WHEN I PLACE THE VEHICLE IN RUN MODE I NOTICED THAT THE BRAKE ERROR DISAPPEARED AND I HAD TO WAIT APPROXIMATELY 1 MINUTE TO RUN THE VEHICLE HEALTH REPORT. THE REPORT RAN WITHOUT ERRORS. THE BRAKE SYSTEM WENT BACK TO NORMAL. I'M AFRAID THAT THIS MAY CAUSE AN ACCIDENT THAT MAY LEAD TO SERIOUS INJURY. MY WIFE AND I WERE FORTUNATE WE DID NOT GET REAR ENDED IN THIS OCCURENCE.

ELECTRICAL POWER OUTAGE ON THE SHEERING WHEEL MODULE. THEY FIRST TOLD ME IT WOULD CAST $1,300.00 THEN 2 DAYS LATER $1700.00 I SPOKE TO A SUPERVISOR AND HE TOLD ME $2200.0 WHEN I TOLD HIM I ALREADY GOT A QUOTE FROM HIS MECHANIC, HE SAID $1600.00
CAR STALLS AFTER STARTING. WHEN PULLING AWAY FROM A PARKED POSITION CAR WILL HESITATE SHUDDER AND ACCELERATOR WILL NOT WORK. ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON. AFTER SITTING SEVERAL MINUTES THE CAR WILL RESTART AND RUN NORMALLY UNTIL THE NEXT TIME THE CAR IS PARKED AND SHUT OFF.

STARTED CAR AND PLACED INTO REVERSE TO BACK OUT OF PARKING SPACE. AS I BACKED UP I TRIED TO TURN MY STEERING WHEEL, BUT COULDN'T. THE STEERING WHEEL WAS COMPLETELY LOCKED AND WOULD NOT TURN AT ALL. AFTER TURNING THE CAR OFF AND ON SEVERAL TIMES I WAS FINALLY ABLE TO DRIVE THE CAR. THIS HAS OCCURRED ON FOUR SEPARATE OCCASIONS IN A ONE MONTH PERIOD. ONCE AT THE DEALERSHIP I WAS TOLD THAT THE ISSUE WAS THE STEERING GEAR BOX, A $1,700 FIX FOR A CAR THAT IS LESS THAN TWO YEARS OLD, BUT OUT OF THE 36,000 BASIC WARRANTY. THE CAR IS BEING REPAIRED AT A LOCAL FORD DEALER, I WILL PROVIDE THE REPAIR INVOICE ONCE THE WORK IS COMPLETE.
WHILE DRIVING HOME ON I- 55, ONE OF MY BACK TIRES BLEW UP ON 2015 FORD FUSION. THIS NEARLY CAUSED A POTENTIALLY FATAL ACCIDENT! ON SATURDAY, I CALLED MICHELIN, THE MANUFACTURER OF THE TIRE AND THEY TOLD ME TO TAKE THE TIRE TO DISCOUNT TIRE. I WENT IN TO DISCOUNT TIRE IN NEW LENOX, IL ON SATURDAY FEBRUARY 11, 2017, AND THE MANAGER NEAL, SAID THAT ALL OF THE TIRES NEEDED TO BE REPLACED, AND THE BLOWOUT WAS CAUSED AS A RESULT OF LOW THREAD COUNT. DISCOUNT TIRE WENT ON TO INFORM THAT XCHANGE LEASING, WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR SAFETY AND INSPECTION OF THE VEHICLE WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR MISSING THE NEED FOR THE TIRES TO BE REPLACED. SUBSEQUENTLY, IT SEEMS THAT XCHANGE HAS DROPPED THE BALL, AND THANKFULLY THE NEGLIGENCE DID NOT RESULT IN AN UNTIMELY DEATH! SINCE, BEING A PART OF THE XCHANGE LEASING PROGRAM, I HAVE REGULARLY HAD ALL OF MY INSPECTIONS COMPLETED, WHICH INCLUDED TIRE ROTATION, AND INSPECTION. THERE IS NO INDICATION ON ANY OF THE INSPECTION REPORTS THAT TIRES NEED TO BE REPLACED. I AM CURRENTLY DRIVING ON A DONUT, AND I AM SEEKING A RESOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM.
Have had the power train and transmission worked on since I have owned this car. Now again the transmission is messing up. This car has less than 100,000 miles there is no reason for this many issues with the power train.

TAKATA RECALL.... MY GIRLFRIEND WRECKED MY CAR OFF A T-ROAD TRYING TO MISS DEER AND DID MAJOR DAMAGE TO THE FRONT END. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY AT ALL. SEAT BELT DIDN'T RESTRAIN HER EITHER, SHE HIT STEERING WHEEL EXTREMELY HARD. SHE WAS ON A HIGHWAY.
IF I CRANK THE CAR SOON AFTER CUTTING IT OFF, (WHILE IT'S STILL WARM) ENGINE SPUTTERS THEN QUITS, AS IF IT ISN'T GETTING ENOUGH FUEL. SO WHEN GETTING GAS, I HAVE TO HOLD DOWN THE GAS PEDAL OR ENGINE QUITS. AS SOON AS I START PUMPING, THE ENGINE STARTS CHOKING. I CAN'T TURN OFF THE IGNITION WHILE PUMPING GAS BECAUSE IT WON'T STAY CRANKED ONCE I TRY TO DRIVE AWAY UNLESS I REV THE RPM'S UP REALLY HIGH FOR A PERIOD OF TIME. I'VE HAD IT LOOKED AT SEVERAL TIMES AND NO ONE CAN FIGURE OUT WHAT'S WRONG. THIS HAS BEEN AN ONGOING PROBLEM FOR OVER A YEAR. AND NOW WHITE SMOKE BILLOWS OUT OF THE TAIL PIPE WHEN IT'S CRANKED. SECOND PROBLEM....ELECTRICAL. SOME OF THE STEERING WHEEL BUTTONS, SUCH AS CRUISE AND HANDS-FREE CALLING STOP WORKING OVER TIME. THIRD PROBLEM.... FRONT CV JOINTS WEAR OUT WAY TOO SOON. I HEARD OF A RECALL ON THE NEWS A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO FOR MY CAR THAT SOUNDED LIKE MY ENGINE ISSUE, BUT NOW I CAN'T LOCATE THE RECALL ANYWHERE. THEY EVEN TOOK IT OFF OF THE NEWS CHANNEL'S WEBSITE. DURING THE BROADCAST, THEY SAID THE RECALL WOULD BEGIN DECEMBER 10TH. WHAT HAPPENED??? DID FORD CHANGE ITS MIND? SURE WOULD HELP ME OUT! WHILE DRIVING DOWN A CITY STREET MY CAR HAD A COMPLETE LOSS OF POWER, WITH MULTIPLE WARNING LIGHTS AND ALARMS GOING OFF. THERE WAS NO WARNING OF THIS FAILURE PRIOR AS THE CAR WAS OPERATING NORMALLY. ASSOCIATED WITH THIS LOSS OF POWER WAS A LOSS OF STEERING AND A LOSS OF POWER ASSIST BRAKING, WHICH RESULTED IN THE CAR CAME TO A STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET. ONCE IN PARK IT WOULD NOT ALLOW CHANGING GEARS. A TOW TRUCK REQUIRED THE USE OF TIRE DOLLY'S TO LOAD THE VEHICLE, WHICH WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS. THE DEALER MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE A CAUSE, AND USED THE ANALOGY THAT THE CAR HAD AN "ELECTRICAL SEIZURE," WHICH I INTERPRET AS A CATASTROPHIC ELECTRICAL SYSTEM FAILURE. THEY WERE ABLE TO MAKE THE CAR OPERABLE BY REBOOTING, AND REINSTALLING SOFTWARE, TO THE CAR'S COMPUTER. *TR

THE 2015 FUSION HAD A SURGE AND THE CAR JERKED FORWARD. MY WIFE SAID THAT HAPPENED TO HER BEFORE. WHEN IT HAPPENED WHEN I WAS IN THE CAR DRIVING IT WE BOTH LOOKED AT EACH OTHER. THIS HAPPENED TO US WITH THE 2010 RAV4 AND THE 2009 SIENNE THAT CRASHED INTO A TREE. PLEASE CHECK THIS CAR FOR A COMPUTER PROBLEM.
