The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.
The rear camera does not function properly on my 2015 Ford Fusion. When I try to use it, it either turns into a black screen or the message reads that "rear camera is unavailable", which has almost caused me to collide with another vehicle several times as I was trying to back up. I understand that there is a national recall for Ford Fusion vehicles from 2018 on for exactly the same reason. However, even though my Ford Fusion is a 2015, it demonstrates the same problem as the newer models listed in the recall. I would like to have my camera replaced (at no charge) as well, since I am dealing with the same safety hazard as the models listed in the national recall. Thank you very much for your understanding.

My first problem is that when i try to accelerate the speed it acts as if it doesn’t want to go above the speed that I’m already going! Also my engine light pops on and off and says it could be a number of things such as my brakes and exhaust. The last problem is that my brake lights will not turn off at all.

The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 150,000.
Got an "Steering Assist Fault" indication on my dash and I can no longer turn my steering wheel. This is a well documented recall with older models but mine was not included in the recall. I've taken it to the local dealer and been told it will require replacement of the entire assembly. Older online reports said this was a $2,200 repair. I was just quoted $2,900 by the dealer. This is outrageous. Ford should not be allowed to get away with this. They positioned the electric steering motor (with enclosed electronics) next to the exhaust manifold. The electronics can't handle the heat being so close even with the stupid heat shield between the two. The recall should be extended to all Ford vehicles that use this technology.

Took vehicle to Ford dealership for routine maintenance 5 June 2024. At end of servicing, service advisor reviewed findings of the multi-point inspection with me (attached), advising all wheel lug nuts (20) on the vehicle were "swollen" and needed to be replaced; failure to do so will result in being unable to remove any wheel in the event of an emergency, i.e., flat tire, as the provided 19" lug nut wrench ( or any substitute 19" socket will not fit). Quoted price of $337.60 for nuts ($447.52 incl labor). I passed. Ordered one piece chrome lug nuts (20) for $40, and a $45 half size socket set (19.5mm) online and changed them myself. Research on the issue reveals Ford is aware of this safety defect of two piece swelling lug nuts, yet refuses to recall affected vehicle or remedy the safety issue. All affected vehicles need to be recalled and corrected by Ford immediately, our lives/safety is at risk with this issue.
Prior to leaving for a weekend trip, we filled our 2015 Ford Fusion with engine coolant, as it was low. After returning from the trip, we started the care and noticed some white smoke coming from the tail pipe. While traveling around 20mph, the check engine light on the dash began to flash, and the car began to shake violently. We pulled over, and identified that the engine coolant was empty. We stopped at a gas station to fill it up. Upon returning home, we scheduled an appointment with our independent mechanic, to check for a coolant leak. He was able to recreate the white smoke, after noticing that the engine coolant was empty again. He filled it back up, and 24 hours later, the coolant was empty, despite the car not being driven. He advised that there is a possible leak, and he would pressure test it. After testing it, he confirmed that there is no leak in the coolant lines, however, there is a suspected leak within the engine.

After fueling in the car up i drive it and it stalls out while driving
Took the car in to have a tire replaced and was told the swollen lug nuts prevent them from removing the tire. I had issues with lug nuts on another wheel but was able to get them off and replaced them. I shouldn't have to be paying $27 for lug nuts that are defective.
The contact owns a 2015 Ford Fusion Hybrid. The contact stated while driving at undisclosed speeds, the steering wheel became loose and felt as if it might detach from the steering column. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 128,000.
Took my car to the dealership for an oil change and tire rotation. The technician told me they cannot get the tires off to rotate them because the tire lug nuts were swollen. He asked me if I wanted to replace them. I agreed after he said that if I were to get a flat tire it would be hard to get it off to fix it. Basically, this issue became a safety one. I never had an issue with swollen lug nuts with previous cars I had own. Thank you for gathering these type of issues.

235/45R18, the tires wander on grooved highways (groove wander). They throw the car left and right. This is a safety concern as it creates dangerous instability. Looks like the tire tread is incompatible with some road surfaces (grooved highways) and creates a safety hazard (car violently swerving at highway speeds). Wheel balancing and alignment was done to eliminate these as potential contributors. The store refuses to accept the tires for a return.
NO WARNING LIGHTS PRIOR TO THE PROBLEM. THE CAR WAS DIAGNOSED BY A FORD DEALERSHIP. THE ENGINE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED DUE TO COOLANT GETTING IN THE CYLINDER. THERE IS A TSB ABOUT THIS ISSUE. IT IS A KNOWN PROBLEM FOR THIS CAR. NOW FORD IS OFFERING NO ASSISTANCE IN FIXING THE PROBLEM.
Coolant is leaking into cylinder 3 of the engine causing a misfiring and code P0303 to present itself. White exhaust is seen when the vehicle is turned on. Lots of vibrations present and the check engine light stays on. My mechanic provided me with the documentation of what he found and said it would cost 14 thousand dollars to replace. Mechanic said to bring it to a ford dealership to confirm their findings. I went to a ford dealership and explained to them what was found by my mechanic and told them to do a diagnostic on their end. The dealership confirmed the findings and sent all documentation to ford corporate headquarters with price quotes and everything so that they can repair the issue since this problem is seen on all ecoboost engines in all ford models. Ford corporate denied everything and said that my vehicle was too old and that this is not a known "issue" with their vehicles. I searched online and found multiple people having several issues with ford fusions that have the ecoboost engine problems. Ford is denying everything and they know this has been an on going issue for a long time. The first time this issue appeared for me was on May of 2024.

Power steering went out and has a recall for it on the website but under the car doesn't, have it but it went out all of sudden
The dealer car Mariano motors LLC sold me the car, sold me it with a fake mileage. May you found below the report Vin history about it.
I noticed the coolant level keeps getting low. There was a large amount of white smoke coming from the exhaust. It sounds like water in the dash. Now the car is barely drivable. No warning lights have come on.
I took my vehicle into dealer because the steering was not smooth. It appeared to be hanging up and at times difficult to maintain control of the vehicle. The problem was diagnosed by the dealer as being “internal” to the steering rack. The vehicle only has 26,000 miles on it. A search of recalls was completed on the vehicle and two recalls were completed for “corrosion” to the steering box. One recall in 2015 and one in 2018. These recalls were performed on vehicles operating in states such as my own (Northeast Ohio) where road salt could cause the corrosion. I suspect that the corrosion entered my steering rack and is affecting the steering of the vehicle. Since two recalls were done involving the steering mechanism, maybe the whole mechanism should be replaced, as how can we be certain that the corrosion was limited to just the outside of the mechanism.

Spent savings on my kid’s car. Now Needs New Engine I bought my kid a 2015 For Fusion from my best friend. It was under 100k miles. I purchased it in December. She had checked out, regular oil changes. She never had issues aside from the brake light. I paid $8000. With tax, tag, title and insurance start, it was over $9000 We take it in January took to my mechanic whom I have been using almost 20 years, very reliable and honest, for oil change and to fix the wiring of the brake light. That cost a few hundred. March the AC went out. That was about $1400. Then took in for next oil change and had to get rear brakes done, which was prepared for that one, it was time. That was a few hundred. Then the car starts shaking, take it back, they replace a coil pk and some other stuff. That was almost $300. I am almost $13000 in, it has taken my emergency savings. Breaks down again, told no compression in cylinder three. After he takes it a part, the piston is burnt up and has caused damage to the cylinder. It needs a new engine. I have to order the engine, which is $2700 to $3100 and my mechanic is gonna do it for $1800, which includes the additional parts like timing belt. I talked to ford as everyone I talk to say it is super rare to have to replace the engine under 100k miles. My mechanic said he read up on this car and the 1.5/6 turbo engines have a tendency to burn up. I think Ford should be responsible for this obvious defect. Not sure how to go about it. Ford told me that I have to have it looked at by the Ford dealership. The dealership said they could run a diagnostics & see if Ford will do anything but I have to bring them the car put back together. It took my mechanic 6 hours to break it down. He said he would have to charge me if he had to put back together. I dont know what to do. I've already submitted this complaint before and nothing is done by it and investigator investigated this but I'm still continuing to have this problem and Ford will not fix the issue unless I spend thousands of dollars. I am having an issue with the safety airbag system the AC system not working The windows do not work, passenger windows don't work , ac control system doesn't function...
When taking my car in for regular servicing, I was told that the tires could not be rotated because of swollen lug nuts. My vehicle has 11,777 miles. Without proper tire rotation, I cannot effectively drive safely without risk to myself and others. So, I opted to have the lug nuts replaced in fear of future problems should I need to remove a tire. Not being a mechanic, I have no idea what constitutes the look or feel of swollen lug nuts. My car was serviced on March 12 and 13, 2024 at the cost of $381.86 (lug nuts: $257.35)
I brought a 2015 Ford Fusion and the airbags was missing as well as unrepairable overheating issues in the engine. I replaced the whole cooling system and the reason for overheating still can’t be determined. I brought the car for $5000 and had $3000 of work done and it is still not drivable. The dealer refused to fix it or give a refund. I still have not been able to drive the car.
The contact owns a 2015 Ford Fusion. The contact stated while driving 70 MPH and attempting to decelerate, with the brake pedal depressed all the way to the floorboard, the vehicle failed to decelerate as intended. Upon natural speed loss and increased effort depressing the brake pedal, the contact was able to pull to the shoulder of the roadway and bring the vehicle to a complete stop. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed a failure with the brake caliper, resulting in abnormal wear and tear on the rear passenger’s side brake pad. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was then towed to the dealer, who confirmed the diagnosis. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 150,000.
This car has cut off (lose power)twice while driving. Crank back up fine . It’s definitely a hazard if your on the interstate.
One night my car was completely off. The key wasn’t in the ignition and I woke up in the middle of the night and my back brick lights were on. And the next day I couldn’t start my car. I’m not sure if it drained my battery and I had to buy a new battery.
1. The Ford dealership in Glendale, CA refused to do the brake pedal recall, but it shows as complete. The car was bought at this dealership and never had work done to the brake pedal. (NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID: 23V162000). 2. The car burns oil way quicker than it indicates. This has happened twice to me now where I had to replace the entire engine because I completely ran out of oil before I was due for a change. I check my oil religiously after that because there are no signs of leakage. I checked my oil [XXX] after having my oil changed on [XXX] and its bone dry I have only driven under 3000 miles. I still have over 2000 miles until im suppose to change my oil and its only been 2 months. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
My 2015 Ford Fusion 1.5L Ecoboost has exhibited behaviors that are reflected in TSB 22-2229 or the most updated version of this TSB. Ever since I purchased the vehicle in January 2023, I have had to refill the coolant reservoir more than 5 times, and have had blueish-white smoke billow from the exhaust. Just today, February 12, 2024, when leaving my house, upon acceleration, the same tinted smoke was expelled from my exhaust, leaving a cloud in two different spots in my neighborhood. And when I left work later this evening, I had to refill my coolant AGAIN because the reservoir was empty! If Ford knows this is an issue, why has no recall happened?
