TAKATA RECALL NEED TO REPLACE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG
TAKATA RECALL - I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET A REPLACEMENT AIRBAG FOR THIS DEFECTIVE AIRBAG SINCE AUGUST OF 2016. I HAVE CONTACTED C&C FORD IN HORSHAM PA SEVERAL SEVERAL TIMES (JOE IN SERVICE) AND THEY HAVE STATED THEY HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY REPLACEMENT AIRBAGS TO REMOVE THE DEFECTIVE ONE. THIS IS AN EXTREME HAZARD TO MYSELF AND PASSENGERS. I HAVE A DIFFICULT TIME GETTING ANYONE TO DRIVE WITH ME NOW BECAUSE OF IT. HAVING RECENTLY BECOME PREGNANT I FEAR FOR MY LIFE AND MY UNBORN BABIES. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AND NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED IMMEDIATELY. I AM AFRAID EVERY TIME I GET IN MY CAR NOW. HAVING TO WAIT WELL OVER A YEAR FOR A DEFECTIVE AIRBAG THAT WAS FORCED INTO MY CAR IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. I NEED THIS DEFECT REMOVED AND A SAFE AIRBAG PUT IN MY CAR IMMEDIATELY. I CANNOT HAVE MY PASSENGERS OR UNBORN CHILD HARMED BECAUSE OF THIS INSANITY. MY VEHICLE IS STILL IN TACK.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 FORD MUSTANG. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE INDEPENDENTLY SHIFTED GEARS WITHOUT WARNING. IN ADDITION, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, BUT FAILED TO RESPOND. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 139,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
TAKATA RECALL CONTACTED FORD DIRECTLY, TALKED WITH TWO DEALERS AND WAS TOLD "IT IS THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIRBAG ONLY" HAD BOTH OF THE DRIVER 'S SIDE REPLACEMENT RECALLS DONE AFTER WAITING FOR ABOUT A YEAR FOR REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR THE SECOND. NOW I GET A RECALL FOR THE PASSENGER SIDE WITH AGAIN WITH "NO REPLACEMENT PARTS AVAILABLE" I PAID EXTRA FOR ADDITIONAL FOR SIDE AIRBAGS IN MY CAR AND I WOULD LIKE FOR SOMEONE LIKE FORD, OR THE GOVERNMENT TO FIND OUT IF THE SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAGS ARE JUST AS DANGEROUS AS THE THE OTHERS INSTALLED. SO MAYBE THEY COULD GET THEM ALL FIXED BEFORE MORE FOLKS GET KILLED BY "SAFETY DEVICES".

TAKATA RECALL. I WAS NOTIFIED BY FORD THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG IS FAULTY. I STILL HAVE NOT BEEN NOTIFIED WHEN IT WILL BE REPLACED.
TAKATA RECALL. JULY 2016 I RECEIVED "IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL" 16S26/NHTSA RECALL 16V-384. IT IS OVER A YEAR LATER, AND I HAVE NOT BEEN CONTACTED TO SCHEDULE THE REPAIR. THE NOTICE SAYS SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH CAN RESULT.

TAKATA RECALL - MY DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG HAS ALREADY BEEN REPLACED TWICE. I RECEIVED AN ADDITIONAL RECALL LETTER (16S26) FROM FORD LAST SUMMER, STATING THAT MY PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. ALMOST SIX MONTHS LATER, THEY STILL HAVE NOT RELEASED PARTS TO HAVE THIS FIXED. THIS IS EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING, AS I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO CARRY PASSENGERS IN MY CAR FOR THAT ENTIRE TIME. PLEASE DO ALL YOU CAN TO HAVE THE MANUFACTURER RELEASE THE PARTS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
RECALL HAS DRAGGED ON FOR QUITE A LONG TIME. WE HAD THE DRIVERS AIR BAG REPLACED LAST SUMMER WITH THE PROMISE OF THE OTHER AIR BAG BE REPLACED AS SOON AS IT WAS RELEASED. I JUST CALLED THE DEALER AND THEY SAID THE PASSENGER AIR BAG HAS STILL NOT RELEASED FOR OUR AREA. SAFETY FOR THE PASSENGER?

TAKATA RECALL: CALLED MY LOCAL FORD DEALER IN JULY OF 2015. I WAS TOLD THEY WERE ON ORDER AND THEY WOULD CALL ME. HAD KEYS MADE AT THE DEALER IN SEPTEMBER 2015, STILL ON ORDER. JULY 2016 STILL ON ORDER AFTER I CALLED 4 TIMES IN THE LAST YEAR. FORD EXPLAINED THEY WERE ON ORDER AND I SHOULD GET A LETTER BY THE END OF 2016. IN DECEMBER 2015 PHIL LONG FORD SENT ME A LETTER OFFERING ME $10,705 TRADE FOR MY SHELBY MUSTANG TO TRADE FOR A NEW CAR! DEALER WILL NOT RETURN MY PHONE CALLS.

TAKATA RECALL I RECEIVED A NOTICE FROM FORD IN JULY OF 2016 THAT THE AIRBAG INFLATORS NEEDED REPLACING ON MY CAR. I HAVE CALLED SEVERAL TIMES AND THE DEALER STATES FORD DOES NOT HAVE THE REPLACEMENT PART .I HAVE NOT DRIVEN MY CAR SINCE JULY 2016.I CALLED TODAY AND GOT THE SAME STORY. WHAT CAN BE DONE TO CORRECT THIS PROBLEM ?
"TAKATA RECALL" I WAS NOTIFIED BY LETTER DATED JULY 2016 OF THE RECALL16V-384 AND SO FAR THE DEFECTIVE AIRBAG HAS NOT BEEN REPLACED. THE DEALER TOLD ME YESTERDAY THEY MAY HAVE THE PART WITHIN THE NEXT QUARTER BUT ARE NOT SURE. IT WILL BE ALMOST A YEAR SINCE I WAS NOTIFIED OF THIS POTENTIALLY LIFE THREATENING ISSUE. APPARENTLY FORD DOES NOT CARE ABOUT ITS CUSTOMER'S. I WAS TOLD BY A REPRESENTATTVE AT FORD HEADQUARTERS I COULD SUE THE DEALER IF A PASSENGER WAS INJURED OR DIED AS A RESULT OF THE DEFECTIVE AIRBAG. THE BOTTOM LINE IS I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE THE DEFECTIVE AIRBAG REPLACED IMMEDIATELY AND SOMETHING DONE SO FORD IS NOT ABLE TO CONTINUE TO RISK LIVES FOR SUCH AN EXTENDED PERIOD WHEN IT KNOWS OF A MAJOR SAFETY DEFECT.

I RECEIVED RECALL ON JULY 2016 ON AIRBAG RECALL. I HAVE CONTACTED DEALER 7-26-16, 10-3-16, 3-15-17, 6-16-17,10-10-17 & FORD MOTOR COMPANY ON 11-7-17 REGISTER COMPLAINT CASE# 13495614 WITH NO RESOLUTION TO THE RECALL. CAN ANYONE LOOK INTO THIS MATTER AND GET BACK TO ME.

MY LAST INQUIRY WAS ON 9/28/17 TO ED CARNEY FORD, EAST HANOVER, NJ, WHO TOLD ME THAT THE PART IS STILL NOT AVAILABLE! I PANIC WHENEVER I HAVE A PASSENGER...ESPECIALLY MY DAUGHTER IN THE CAR. WHY IS IT TAKING SO LONG TO GET THE REPLACEMENT PASSENGER AIRBAG? SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!

TAKATA RECALL: ORG. COMPLAINT #11035736 ORIGINAL LETTER REGARDING RECALL, DATED 2016. CALL AUTOWAY FORD 07/29/16 AND WAS TOLD NO PARTS, CALLED AGAIN NUMEROUS TIMES AFTER THAT, I KNOW FOR SURE I CALLED ON 10/23/17 AND AGAIN 02/15/18. PARTS MANAGER CALLED ME ON 02/15/18 DUE TO MY CONCERN WITH THE INFLATOR NOT BEING REPLACED. HE STATED THAT THEY WERE GETTING SOME IN BUT THEY ARE FOR ONLY 2011, 2012, 2013 VEHICLES SINCE THEY ARE NEWER AND MORE OF THESE YEARS ON THE ROAD. I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO HAVE A PASSENGER IN MY CAR FOR A LONG TIME DUE TO THE LIABILITY. I DON'T FEEL I SHOULD BE PUNISHED BECAUSE MY VEHICLE IS A 2006, WITH ONLY 54.000 MILES ON IT. I AM VERY UPSET AT THIS TIME. FORD IS NO WAY HELPING ME. I NOTICED WHEN I GOT TO THE SITE IT SAID TO CONTACT DEALER AND ASK FOR A FREE LOANER, WILL ALL DEALERSHIPS DO THIS?? IF I LEAVE CAR AT DEALERSHIP, I AM AFRAID SOMEONE WILL USE IT BECAUSE THE DAY I BOUGHT IT, I HAD TO PICK IT UP THE NEXT DAY AND THE MANAGER TOOK HIS WIFE TO DINNER IN IT. "TAKATA RECALL" ALTHOUGH I CHECK MY MAIL AND HAVE CONTACTED LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIPS I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO COMPLETE RECALL 16S26. THIS CAR WAS OE PURCHASED IN FLORIDA, UNTIL 2013 WHEN I BOUGHT IT AND DROVE IT TO VERMONT. THE MILEAGE IN FLORIDA WAS OVER 70,000. I HAVE ASKED FOR HELP TO HAVE THE AIRBAG REPLACED, CALLING FORD AND CHECKING WITH DEALERS.. NO LUCK. FOR ABOUT 3 YEARS, CONSTANT PROBLEM WITH WATER LEAKING ONTO MY PASSENGER FLOOR BOARD. I HAVE TO PUT PLASTIC BAGS OUTSIDE THE WINDSHIELD UNDERNEATH THE WIPERS EVERY TIME IT RAINS. THIS DOESN'T KEEP ALL THE RAIN FROM COMING IN BUT IT HELPS. I CAN NO LONGER GO THROUGH A CAR WASH BECAUSE IT FLOODS THE INSIDE OF MY CAR. I NOW HAVE A PLASTIC BUCKET ON THE PASSENGER FLOOR BOARD IN CASE IT RAINS WHILE I AM DRIVING SO THE INTERIOR DOESN'T GET FLOODED. THERE IS NOW A MILDEW SMELL IN MY CAR. THERE HAVE BEEN MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS SO IT IS RIDICULOUS THAT WE CONSUMERS HAVE TO FOOT THE BILL FOR AN ISSUE THAT FORD HAS KNOWN ABOUT FOR A LONG TIME. THE LAST TIME I CHECKED WITH A DEALER A FEW YEARS AGO THEY SAID IT WOULD COST APPROX. $800-900 TO TRY TO FIX; I'M SURE SOME PEOPLE HAVE AN EXTRA GRAND LAYING AROUND BUT I SURE DON'T. FORD NEEDS TO ISSUE A RECALL ON THIS ISSUE!! IT IS A SAFETY AS WELL AS A HEALTH HAZARD, ESPECIALLY IF PEOPLE HAVE SMALL CHILDREN. I AM THE SECOND OWNER OF THE CAR AND IT STARTED AT ABOUT 70,000 MILES.

THE DEALERSHIP TOOK OUR INFORMATION AND TOLD US THEY WOULD CALL US WHEN THE PART CAME IN. WE HAVE NOT BEEN CALLED AND IT IS JANUARY. WE DID CALL BACK IN OCTOBER TOO FOLLOW UP AND THEY HAD NO INFORMATION EXCEPT TO WAIT. ACCORDING TO THEIR LETTER THIS IS A LIFE-THREATENING SITUATION - WE CANNOT UNDERSTAND HOW THE COMPANY CAN TELL US THE PART IS HERE - YET WHEN WE CALL THE DEALER, THEY KNEW NOTHING, STILL KNEW NOTHING THREE MONTHS LATER AND STILL SIX MONTHS LATER.
