ON MY 2007 MUSTANG GT. THE LOWER BALL JOINT ON LEFT SIDE WOULD NOT PASS PA STATE INSPECTION @ 16,700 MILES AND RIGHT SIDE WENT BAD AND WOULD NOT PASS INSPECTION AT @ 29,800 MILES. THE INSPECTIONS WERE DONE AT A FORD DEALER. EACH TIME THE COST IS OVER $500.00. FORD DID SPLIT THE COST AFTER I COMPLAINED ABOUT THE FIRST ISSUE. I HAVE CHECKED A FEW MUSTANG SITES AND HAVE FOUND OUT OTHERS HAVE HAD THE SAME ISSUES WITH CARS 2005-06-07 AND 08 MUSTANGS. *TR
DAY AFTER A RAIN A RAIN STORM HEARD WATER DRIPPING THEN I WAS GOING UP A SMALL HILL AND I HEARD WATER POURING. I LOOKED OVER AT THE PASSENGER SIDE AND SAW WATER FLOWING IN BY THE GLOVE BOX. I PULLED OVER AND SAW ABOUT 3 INCHES OF WATER ON THE PASSENGER SIDE FLOOR. DROPPED CAR OFF 5 MIN LATER AS DEALER SHIP IS ON MY WAY TO WORK FOUND PASSENGER SIDE DOOR SEAL LEAKING REPLACED AT COST OF 320$ BECAUSE CAR WAS JUST OUT OF WARRANTY BUT MILES ARE ONLY 35250 MILES. NOW MY SHAKER 500 AUDIO WON'T RECOGNIZE AUX AUDIO. GOING TO BRING BACK AND COMPLAIN. I FOUND THIS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM AFTER SOME RESEARCH AND THAT FORD KNOWS ABOUT IT. I THINK THIS PROBLEM IS BECAUSE OF THE CHANGE IN THE DOOR DESIGN WITH THE SHORT DROP WINDOW AND NO FULL FRAME AROUND THE WINDOW. WHAT MAKES THIS WORSE FOR ME IS MY BROTHER HAS A 1988 MUSTANG X POLICE CAR THAT HAS ORIGINAL SEALS AND WEATHER STRIPING AND HAS NEVER HAD A PROBLEM AT OVER 100,000 MILES. *TR
MY 2007 FORD MUSTANG STARTED TO LEAK LAST YEAR 2011 EVERY TIME IT RAINS, WATER POURS FROM UNDER THE GLOVE BOX. YOU CAN BE DRIVING OR IN PARK AND THE WATER JUST CONTINUALLY RUNS. NOW MY MUSTANG HAS HAD ELECTRICAL ISSUES AND REAKS OF MOLD AND THE CAR IS NOW COMPLETELY RUINED BECAUSE OF THIS LEAK. FORD WILL NOT RECOGNIZE THIS AS A RECALL SO WE ARE FORCED TO PAY BECAUSE IT IS NOT UNDER WARRANTY ANY LONGER. THIS CAR IS NOW A LEMON BECAUSE FORD DID NOT BUILD THIS CAR CORRECTLY. THIS CAR IS NOT EVEN PAID OFF YET AND IS NOW CONSIDERED JUNK. FORD WILL NOT HELP US GET WHAT WE ARE PAYING FOR I DID NOT BUY A NEW CAR TO HAVE IT RUINED WITHIN FOUR YEARS BECAUSE IT WAS NOT BUILT CORRECTLY. *TR
BALL JOINTS AND CONTROL ARMS ARE FAILING DUE TO FAULTY CHEAP PARTS THESE PARTS SHOULD BE RECALLED BEFORE SOMEONE GETS HURT LOOK AT SOME MUSTANG FORUMS IT'S VERY WIDESPREAD FAILING AS EARLY AS 7800 MILES ON MODELS MADE FROM 2005 TO 2009. *TR
I PULLED OFF THE FREEWAY INTO A REST STOP AREA. MY FOOT WAS ON THE BRAKE, AND ONLY ON THE BRAKE. I STOPPED IN A PARKING SPACE AND MOVED THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION LEVER FROM DRIVE TO PARK. THE RPM INSTANTLY INCREASED FROM APPROXIMATELY 600 RPM IN DRIVE TO APPROXIMATELY 6000 RPM IN PARK. I TOOK MY FOOT OFF THE BRAKE PEDAL AND GAVE THE GAS PEDAL A QUICK TAP. THE RPM RETURNED TO NORMAL, ABOUT 750 RPM IN PARK. THE DEALERSHIP INSPECTED THE CAR, BUT COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG. THEY CONTACTED FORD, WHO MAINTAINED THE INCIDENT COULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED THE WAY I DESCRIBED IT. THEY FURTHER TOLD THE DEALERSHIP NOT TO PERFORM ANY REPAIRS UNLESS A SIMILAR INCIDENT RECURRED. THE DEALERSHIP THINKS THE PROBLEM IS WITH THE FLY BY WIRE, THROTTLE BODY AND/OR CONTROL OF THE FLOW SYSTEM. *TR THE CONSUMER HAD CONCERNS ABOUT BRAKE FLUID. THE OWNER'S MANUAL STATED TO USE DOT 3 BRAKE FLUID. HOWEVER, THE DEALER USED DOT 4 BRAKE FLUID. UPDATED 11/09/15. *JB
ACCELERATOR STUCK WHEN ENTERING RAMP OFF HIGHWAY. MOTOR WAS RACING. TRIED TO BRAKE BUT BRAKES WERE FIGHTING AGAINST ENGINE. HAD TO THROW VEHICLE IN TO PARK ONCE VEHICLE SLOWED ENOUGH BUT STILL FOUGHT THE MOTOR RACING. STARTED CAR BACK UP AND ACCELERATOR STILL STUCK TO FLOOR. CHECKED TO SEE IF CAR MAT POSSIBLY WAS THE CAUSE, BUT WAS NOT. CALLED FOR TOW TRUCK. *TR
PAINT ON HOOD AND RIGHT FRONT FENDER ARE BLISTERING AND BUBBLING DUE TO IRON CONTAMINATION CORROSION . THE FORD CORPORATION HAS KNOWN OF THIS PROBLEM SINCE 2005 AND NEVER INFORMED THE CONSUMER. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 FORD MUSTANG. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN DRIVING AT ANY SPEED, THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WOULD BECOME STUCK IN OPEN THROTTLE POSITION AND WOULD NOT RELEASE. THE FAILURE WAS EXPERIENCED SEVERAL TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER TO BE DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 67,136.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD MUSTANG GT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS UNABLE TO BE REFUELED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FUEL AND THE ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL TANK NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 54,000.
WENT TO DRIVE MY 3 AND A HALF YEAR OLD MUSTANG TO WORK THE OTHER DAY AFTER A BIG RAINSTORM. NOTICED A MUSTY MOLD SMELL BUT ASSUMED IT WAS NOTHING. AS I DROVE MY CAR UP MY DRIVEWAY, (A SLIGHT INCLINE) GALLONS OF WATER SPILLED OUT FROM UNDER THE DASHBOARD ON THE PASSENGER SIDE BEHIND THE GLOVE BOX. USED A CARPET EXTRACTOR TO VACUUM UP OVER 2 GALLONS OF WATER (NO KIDDING, EMPTIED 1 GALLON EXTRACTOR TANK 3 TIMES) BROUGHT THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE IT WAS PURCHASED AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE CAR NEEDED A REPAIR THAT WAS OUTLINED IN A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN FROM FORD, BUT BECAUSE MY CAR WAS NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY, I WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYING FOR THE REPAIR -AND THAT THE GEM MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AS THE WATER HAD POURED INTO AND DAMAGED IT. THE PRICE FOR THIS, NOT INCLUDING REPLACING THE RUINED CARPET AND PAD OR THE RUSTED SEAT MOUNTING BRACKETS WAS OVER $1100. IT SAYS RIGHT IN THE TSB FROM FORD THAT THIS ISSUE IS CAUSED BY GAPS IN THE SEALANT AROUND DRAINAGE GROMMETS INSIDE THE FIREWALL, YET SOMEHOW THIS IS THE CUSTOMERS PROBLEM??? RESEARCHING ONLINE I'VE ENCOUNTERED HUNDREDS OF HORROR STORIES FROM OTHER OWNERS WITH THE SAME ISSUE, BUT FORD HAS BEEN DENYING THIS SINCE AT LEAST 2005. (6 YEARS!!) THEY NEED TO BE FORCED TO RECALL THESE VEHICLES AS IT IS PAINFULLY OBVIOUS THAT THEY REFUSE TO DO SO VOLUNTARILY... AFTER BEING IN HURRICANE IRENE MY CAR NOW GETS LARGE AMOUNTS OF WATER IN THE PASSENGER SIDE THAT COMES IN FROM UNDER THE PASSENGER SIDE DASH. AFTER A LARGE RAIN FALL 11/28/2011 I HAVE APPROX. 3 TO 4 INCHES OF WATER STANDING ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF MY CAR FROM THE FRONT TO THE BACK. I HAVE CALLED FORD AND THEY HAVE BEEN NO HELP. *KB
HARMONIC BALANCER/CRANKSHAFT PULLEY CAME APART ON A 2007 FORD MUSTANG V6 WHILE DRIVING. IT HAD LESS THAN 37000 MILES ON IT. LUCKILY, ALL THAT HAPPENED WAS SERPENTINE BELT SLIPPED OFF, WHICH I REALIZED IMMEDIATELY WHEN I LOST POWER STEERING. I WAS NEAR HOME AND GOT HOME SAFELY. THIS COULD BE A MAJOR PROBLEM IF IT HAPPENED AT HIGHWAY SPEED. REPLACED BY MY MECHANIC, WHO SAYS THAT HE HAS SEEN THIS NUMEROUS TIME IN THE PAST, AND THAT FORD NOW SELLS AN "UPDATED" PART FOR THE VEHICLE. THIS SUGGEST TO ME THEY KNOW THERE IS A PROBLEM, BUT DON'T WANT TO PAY TO REPLACE IT. *TR
THE ENGINE ON MY 2007 FORD MUSTANG WAS REVVING HIGH WHEN I STARTED THE VEHICLE. WHEN I PUT IT INTO DRIVE, THE VEHICLE TOOK OFF ON ME HITTING ANOTHER VEHICLE AND CRASHING THROUGH A WALL ACROSS FROM THE SPOT I WAS PARKED IN. THIS UNINTENDED ACCELERATION HAS NOT HAPPENED PRIOR TO THIS INCIDENT BUT THE VEHICLE ONLY HAD 5,075 MILES ON IT. *TR
I HAVE REPORTED THIS PROBLEM BEFORE BUT SINCE THEN TWO OTHER PEOPLE WHO HAVE DRIVEN MY CAR HAVE EXPERIENCED IT. I NOW WARN ANYONE WHO HAS TO DRIVE MY CAR THAT IT DRIVES BY ITSELF. I HAVE RECEIVED DIRTY LOOKS FROM PEOPLE, BEEN YELLED OUT, DUE TO THIS PROBLEM. IT ACCELERATES ON ITS OWN. I WILL BE BEHIND SOMEONE AT A LIGHT, FOOT ON BRAKE AND IT WILL START REVVING. THEY THINK I AM MESSING WITH THEM. I WILL BE IN NEUTRAL AND IT WILL DRIVE FASTER. I WILL BE IN REVERSE SLOWLY AND IT FLOORS. I HAD TO BE TAKEN TO EMERGENCY BY A NEIGHBOR. I WARNED HER AND WHEN WE WERE RETURNING HOME, SHE PULLED IN MY DRIVEWAY AND IT JUST STARTED TO SPEED UP FAST. SHE NAILED DOWN THE BRAKE. IT SCARED HER TO DEATH. SHE THANKED ME FOR WARNING HER BECAUSE OTHERWISE WE WOULD HAVE CRASHED AND BEEN HURT. SHE WON'T EVER DRIVE MY CAR AGAIN. I HAD MY CAR IN VALET IN LAS VEGAS AT GREEN VALLEY RANCH AND THE GUY WORKING WAS PULLING THE CAR AROUND TO ME AND IT WAS REVVING REALLY HIGH AND WANTING TO SPEED. HE WAS APOLOGIZING PROFUSELY. HE KEPT SAYING HE WAS NOT SHOWING OFF OR PLAYING AROUND. HE KEPT SAYING HE WAS DRIVING SLOW, PLEASE DON'T THINK HE WAS ACTING CRAZY AND HE PARKS FERRARIS! I TOLD HIM IT WAS OKAY AND THAT MY CAR DRIVES ITSELF AND THAT I KNEW HE WASN'T RESPONSIBLE. HE SAID HE WILL NEVER PARK ANOTHER ONE OF THESE AGAIN. HE NEEDED HIS JOB. HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE TO HAVE THIS PROBLEM BEFORE FORD WILL ACKNOWLEDGE THERE IS ONE. IS THIS LIKE THE WHOLE TOYOTA THING? IF THERE IS A LARGE LAWSUIT CAN I BE CONTACTED? MY LEFT REAR TIRE LOST AIR WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY. AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO PUT KEEP AIR IN THE TIRE I REALIZED IT WAS THE VALVE STEM. I PUT AIR IN, WOULD HOLD AIR WHEN STOPPED AND AT HIGHWAY SPEED WOULD GO FLAT AGAIN. I CHANGED THAT VALVE STEM, FOUR DAYS LATER THE SAME THING HAPPENED WITH THE LEFT FRONT. THIS TIME I CHECKED THE OTHERS, IN THE END, ALL FOUR VALVE STEMS WERE CRACKED AND TWO FAILED ALLOWING THE TIRE TO LOSE ALL AIR AND GO FLAT. I HAVE GOODYEAR F1 SUPERCAR TIRES AND 15,800 MILES ON THE CAR. THE VALVE STEM IS THE TI 414. *TR

THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT ON A PRIOR OCCASION WHILE PARKING, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED BUT HE THOUGHT IT WAS A DRIVER ERROR. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND THE CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 55,500.
THE SEAT BRACKETS OF MY 2007 FORD MUSTANG ARE RUSTING THROUGH. ALMOST FROM DAY ONE, THE PAINT ON THE BRACKETS PEELED OFF AND THE RUST STARTED SHORTLY AFTER THAT. I AM WORRIED THAT SOON THE BRACKET ON THE DRIVER'S SEAT WILL RUST THROUGH AND THE VEHICLE MIGHT BECOME UNCONTROLLABLE. I HAVE TRIED TO ADDRESS THIS WITH FORD BUT THEY DON'T RESPOND TO THIS COMPLAINT. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THE CLUTCH AND FLY WHEEL FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. I'M THE OWNER OF A 2007 FORD MUSTANG. I STARTED NOTICING PAINT BUBBLES ALONG THE FRONT EDGE AND UNDERSIDE OF THE HOOD. I COME TO FIND OUT THAT THIS A COMMON PROBLEM NOT ONLY FOR SIMILAR MODEL YEAR MUSTANGS, BUT FOR OTHER FORD VEHICLES AS WELL. EVIDENCE SUGGESTS THAT FORD IS AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM AND CONTINUES TO DO NOTHING ABOUT. I'VE BEEN TOLD THAT THE ONLY WAY TO FIX THE SITUATION IS TO REPLACE THE HOOD AND THAT I WOULD NEED TO COVER THE COST. FURTHERMORE, EVEN AFTER A NEW HOOD WAS INSTALLED, THIS ISSUE WOULD PROBABLY OCCUR AGAIN. VERY FRUSTRATING.
2007 FORD MUSTANG V6 HAS WATER LEAKING FROM UNDERNEATH PASSENGER DASH. AFTER INSPECTION WATER WAS SEEN DRIPPING RAPIDLY FROM CLIMATE CONTROL FAN BOX ONTO EXPOSED ELECTRICAL WIRE CONNECTIONS. ONLY HAPPENS WHEN IT RAINS AND WATER CAN BE HEARD SPLASHING WITHIN FAN BOX WHEN DRIVING. FORD ISSUED A TSB BUT WATER DRIPPING ON EXPOSED ELECTRIC CAN CAUSE RISK OF SHORT AND FIRE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD MUSTANG. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE IN FOR INSPECTION WHERE SHE WAS INFORMED THAT A CROSS MEMBER AND LOWER BALL JOINT WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE PROBLEM WAS WIDESPREAD. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED AND THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER AND FILED A COMPLAINT. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 31,550 AND THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 31,547.
2007 FORD MUSTANG. CONSUMER STATES PROBLEM WITH WATER LEAK COMING FROM THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. *TGW THE CONSUMER STATED WATER WAS POURING IN THE VEHICLE DOWN THROUGH THE FIREWALL AND DAMAGING THE RUGS, LINERS, DASHBOARD AND ALL THE ELECTRICAL WIRES. THE CONSUMER WENT TO THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES AND EACH TIME HE WAS TOLD THE MOLDINGS WERE LOOSE, BUT NEVER REPAIRED THE DAMAGE. THE CONSUMER STATED HE HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO START THE VEHICLE FOR OVER A YEAR DUE THE DAMAGE CAUSED TO THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. ALSO, THE DOOR HANDLE HAS BEEN BROKEN FOR THE PAST TWO YEARS. *JB
WHEN I START MY CAR IN THE MORNING, AND IT IS OVERCAST OUT OR HAS JUST RAINED, MY SHIFTER WILL NOT GO INTO FIRST OR REVERSE. IT TAKES A FEW MINUTES UNTIL I CAN FORCE WITH ALL MY STRENGTH THE KNOB INTO GEAR. AS I AM DRIVING THOUGH, I STILL HAVE A HARD TIME GETTING IT INTO FIRST GEAR AFTER A STOP, AND MANY TIME CARS HAVE HAD TO GO AROUND ME INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC AND A FEW TIMES HAVE COME CLOSE TO AN ACCIDENT. THE FIRST DEALER I WENT TO IN VICTORVILLE TOLD ME TO BRING IT BACK WHEN IT IS ACTING UP REALLY BAD. I BROUGHT IT THERE ONE DAY WHEN IT WAS ACTING UP AND THEY TOLD ME THEY WOULD GET TO IT LATER. I CALLED THEM A FEW MINUTES BEFORE THEY CLOSED AND THEY SAID THEY FOUND NOTHING WRONG, SO I INSISTED TO LEAVE IT AND HAVE THEM TRY IT IN THE MORNING. THE NEXT DAY I CALLED RIGHT BEFORE THEY CLOSED AGAIN AND THEY INFORMED ME EVERYTHING WAS WORKING FINE. WHEN I WENT TO PICK IT UP, I NOTICED THEY HAD NOT PUT EVEN A MILE ON MY CAR AFTER CHECKING THE MILAGE. I DROVE HOME AND ON THE WAY HOME IT WAS ACTING UP VERY BAD SO I WENT BACK AND TOLD THEM. THE GUY THAT RUNS THE COUNTER WENT ON A RIDE WITH ME AND I SHOWED HIM WHEN IT HAPPENED AND HE SAID HE THINKS I'M PROBABLY NOT PUSHING THE CLUTCH DOWN ALL THE WAY AND BASICALLY BLEW IT OFF. I WAS A LITTLE INSULTED BY HIS ASSUMPTION OF MY INCOMPETENCE, SO I CONTACTED FORD CORPORATE ABOUT MY ISSUE AND THEY SAID I SHOULD POSSIBLY TRY ANOTHER DEALER. A WEEK LATER WHEN I WAS GETTING MY OIL CHANGED AT A SHOP, THEY INFORMED ME THAT MY WATER PUMP HAD A LARGE LEAK. I TOOK MY CAR INTO THE DEALER IN SAN BERNARDINO, WHERE THEY FIXED THE LEAK, BUT ONCE AGAIN FOUND NOTHING WRONG WITH MY SHIFTER, AND ALSO FOUND THAT MY TRANSMISSION WAS LEAKING. I WENT TO A DEALER IN SAN DIEGO WHEN MY CAR WAS STILL ACTING UP BAD, AND THEY FIXED MY TRANSMISSION LEAK, WHICH TOOK 10 DAYS, BUT SAID MY SHIFTER WAS WORKING COMPLETELY FINE.
STOPPED AT GAS STATION AND FILLED TANK WITH GAS. AFTER FILL UP TURNED ONTO HIGHWAY AND STARTED DRIVING. ABOUT 1/2 MILE DOWN THE ROAD WHILE DRIVING AT 45 MPH THE CAR COMPLETELY SHUT-OFF. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD MUSTANG. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED WATER CAME INTO THE VEHICLE FROM UNDERNEATH THE DASHBOARD. HORN STOPPED WORKING APPROXIMATELY 3 MONTHS BEFORE DIAGNOSIS. THE DEALERSHIP DIAGNOSED A WATER INTRUSION THAT DAMAGED THE MAIN WIRING LOOM AND SMART JUNCTION BOX. IT WAS DETERMINED THE WATER INTRUSION WAS A RESULT OF LOOSE GROMMETS AND/OR SEALER SKIPS AROUND THE COWL AREA, LOOSE A-PILLAR WINDOW WEATHER STRIPPING RETAINER, MISALIGNED BODY HARNESS GROMMET THROUGH THE FIREWALL OR MISALIGNED BODY HARNESS GROMMET FROM THE PASSENGER DOOR AS PER TSB 08 26 7 AND TSB 07-14-06. TOTAL COST FOR THE REPAIR WAS $3,839.44 JUST TO FIX A HORN. *TR
2007 FORD MUSTANG WILL NOT FILL UP PAST 1/2 TANK OF FUEL, THE DEALER STATES THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR AND TO TAKE IT TO A DIFFERENT STATION. ON 12/01/2010 MY 2007 FORD MUSTANG COUPE FISHTAILED ON BLACK ICE IN MID-MICHIGAN, SPUN AROUND AT LEAST 1.5 TIMES AND COLLIDED ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE WITH SEVERAL SMALL TREES IN A DITCH. THERE IS A WATER LEAK IN THE FRONT OF MY MUSTANG, SUCH THAT WHEN IT RAINS WATER COMES THROUGH ONTO MY FEET. DUE TO THE STRUCTURE OF THE CAR ALLOWING WATER TO FLOW IN AREAS THAT IT SHOULD NOT, THIS CAUSED WATER TO RUIN MY WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR. I HAD IT REPLACED AND MY CAR LOOKED AT BY TWO DIFFERENT MECHANICS WHO COULD NOT FIND THE REASON FOR THE WATER FLOWING INTO MY CAR AND ONTO MY WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR. TODAY, AS I WAS DRIVING IN THE MIDDLE OF A RAINSTORM, MY WINDSHIELD WIPERS STOPPED WORKING AGAIN, AND THE MOTOR WAS SHORTED OUT BY THE RAIN WATER. I SEE THERE IS TSB OUT FOR THIS CAR AND STRUCTURAL ISSUES CAUSING WATER TO FLOW IN THE FRONT, BUT TWICE NOW I HAVE BEEN DRIVING IN A RAINSTORM AND UNABLE TO USE MY WINDSHIELD WIPERS. PAINT IS PEELING OFF THE HOOD OF MY 2007 FORD MUSTANG. I NOTICED THE 06-07 MUSTANGS HAVE A SIMILAR PROBLEM AND WAS TOLD BY THE DEALER IT IS BECAUSE THEY HAVE AN ALUMINUM HOOD. I WAS INVOLVED IN A CRASH AFTER MY ACCELERATOR GOT STUCK ON A 2007 FORD MUSTANG V6. I WAS DRIVING MY 2007 FORD MUSTANG (V6) ON THE HIGHWAY (RT 202-PA) WHEN THE "LOW TIRE PRESSURE" INDICATOR LIGHT CAME ON. I PULLED OFF AT THE FIRST AVAILABLE EXIT (CHESTERBROOK BLVD) AND WHEN I TURNED ONTO THE OVER PASS MY REAR PASSENGER TIRE EXPLODED LEAVING THE RIM COMPLETELY EXPOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 24,000.

HE THEN RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE REGARDING THE VALVE STEMS , BUT A TECHNICIAN STATED THAT NO REPAIRS COULD BE PERFORMED UNTIL THE VALVE STEMS FAILED. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 24,900. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 24,500.
MANY FORD MUSTANGS 2005-2009 ARE EXPERIENCING WATER LEAKS. THE WATER DRAINS FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE PASSENGER SIDE DASHBOARD ONTO THE PASSENGER'S FEET. DURING RAIN STORMS, THE WATER SATURATES THE RUG AREA UNLESS YOU HAVE A TOWEL. UNDER THE DASHBOARD, WET WIRES CAN BE SEEN. FOR SOME REASON, FORD WILL NOT ISSUE A RECALL EVEN THOUGH THERE IS A 2006 TSB ON THIS VERY ISSUE. TO STOP THE "FLOOD", CONSUMERS ARE FORCED TO PAY FOR THE REPAIRS OUT OF THEIR OWN POCKET. PLEASE SEARCH THE INTERNET TO READ ALL THE COMPLAINTS. THE FEW MUSTANGS OWNERS WHO DO NOT EXPERIENCE THIS PROBLEM TEND TO GARAGE THE CARS AND ONLY DRIVE THEM IN NICE WEATHER.
