I OWN A 2007 MUSTANG GT AND HAVE HAD TWO FLAT TIRES DUE TO VALVE STEM FAILURES. THE FIRST BROKEN VALVE STEM OCCURRED ON JUNE 13, 2009. I ASSUMED THAT IT WAS A FLUKE THAT THE VALVE STEM BROKE, BUT TODAY I HAD THE SAME THING HAPPEN AGAIN. LUCKILY BOTH FLAT TIRES HAVE HAPPENED WHEN I WAS TRAVELING UNDER 55 MPH. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN A ACCIDENT IF I WAS ON THE INTERSTATE DRIVING AT A HIGHER RATE OF SPEED. *TR
MY CALIPER BROKE ON MY DRIVERS SIDE BACK WHEEL.....MECHANIC SAID IT WAS UNUSUAL FOR THE YEAR AND HE ALSO HAD ANOTHER ONE WITH EXACT SAME PROBLEM AND SAME EXACT SIDE AND WHEEL HE THOUGHT THAT WAS UNUSUAL. *TR
CAR IS A 2007 FORD MUSTANG GT CONVERTIBLE WITH 19,500 MILES. I HAVE NOTICED THAT RECENTLY THE CAR NO LONGER TRACKS PROPERLY, AND TENDS TO PULL TO THE LEFT OR RIGHT WITH UNEVENNESS IN THE PAVEMENT. WHEN BROUGHT IN TO DEALER FOR REGULAR SERVICE, WAS INFORMED THAT BOTH FRONT LOWER BALL JOINTS ARE LOOSE. I HAVE RESEARCHED AROUND THE WEB AND HAVE FOUND THAT THIS APPEARS TO BE A FAIRLY COMMON PROBLEM WITH THESE CARS. CAR IS JUST OUT OF WARRANTY DESPITE ITS LOW MILEAGE. *TR
THE DRIVER SIDE FLOOR MAT/RUG ON MY 2007 MUSTANG WAS NOT LOCKED UNDER THE TAB ON THE FLOOR. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON 2 SEPARATE OCCASIONS. BECAUSE THE MAT SLIDES FORWARD IT INTERFERES WITH THE GAS/ACCELERATOR PEDAL CAUSING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL TO NOT RETURN AND ALLOW DE-ACCELERATION/SLOWING DOWN. I TOOK THE MUSTANG TO A LOCAL DEALER TO HAVE THE SYSTEM CHECKED. THEIR CONCLUSION WAS THE FLOOR MAT/RUG CAUSED THE PROBLEM AND THAT IT MUST BE LOCKED UNDER THE TAB TO PREVENT IT FROM SLIDING FORWARD AND INTERFERING WITH THE PEDAL. I BELIEVE THIS PROBLEM IS THE SAME AS WITH THE RECENT TOYOTA PROBLEM?? I BELIEVE A SAFETY NOTICE TO ALL OWNERS IS IN ORDER TO HELP PREVENT THIS TYPE OF POTENTIAL FOR A SERIOUS VEHICULAR ACCIDENT. *TR
I DRIVE A 2007 FORD MUSTANG. AT 7:00 AM ON MY WAY TO WORK MY CAR DECIDED TO TURN INTO CHRISTIENE. : -). THE THROTTLE BODY OR THE ACCELERATOR DECIDED TO STICK. THE RPM'S WERE RACING. I BURNT UP THE BACK BRAKE PADS AND THE ROTORS, OF TRYING TO GET THE CAR TO SLOW DOWN. I EVEN TRIED GEARING THE MUSTANG DOWN. WHEN I FINALLY GOT TO A SAFE SPOT, I THEN TURN OFF THE IGNITION. I STARTED IT UP TO IF SITTING AND RESETTING THE COMPUTER WOULD FIX THE PROBLEM. I PRESSED ON THE ACCELERATOR AND THE PROBLEM STARTED AGAIN. I STARTED THE CAR THREE TIMES AND I GOT THE SAME RESPONSE. AFTER SETTING FOR A HOUR AND A HALF I PRESSED ON THE ACCELERATOR AGAIN. IT WAS FINE. I DID IMMED. TOOK IT TO A NEAR BY FORD DEALERSHIP TO HAVE THEM HOOK IT TO A COMPUTER. THEY SAID, "IT SHOW WERE THE RPM WERE RACING, BUT THERE WAS ISSUE SHOWING UP." THEY ALSO TOLD ME THAT THEY COULD NOT GET THIS ISSUE TO HAPPEN AGAIN WHILE THEY HAD IT AND THAT THEY COULD NOT PROMISE ME THAT THIS ISSUE WOULD NOT HAPPEN AGAIN. I HAVE SPOKEN TO A CO-WORKER AND HE HAS A 2006 MUSTANG AND HE SAID THAT HIS ACCELERATOR DONE THE SAME TO HIM. I DRIVE FOR A LIVING (A SCHOOL BUS) AND I SELDOM GET SCARED, BUT AFTER THAT MORNING I AM SCARED TO DRIVE MY MUSTANG AND NEVER HAD SOMETHING TO SCARE ME AS BAD. I BELIEVE WITH OUT MY DRIVING SKILLS I COULD HAVE HAD A TERRIBLE ACCIDENT. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD MUSTANG. AFTER IT RAINED OR WAS TAKEN THROUGH A CAR WASH, WATER WOULD FLOOD THE VEHICLE. SHE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP ON THREE OCCASIONS AND THE VEHICLE WAS SEALED WITH SILICONE, AND THE CARPETS AND WINDSHIELD WERE REPLACED TWICE. THE SEALANTS AROUND THE WINDOW, THE FIREWALL, THE REAR WELL, PASSENGER DOOR TRIM PANEL AND MANY OTHER PARTS OF THE VEHICLE WERE COMMON PLACES OF WATER INTRUSION. THE MANUFACTURER SENT A SERVICE ENGINEER TO INSPECT THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS SEALED. NONE OF THE REPAIRS HAVE REMEDIED THE FAILURE. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 21,500. 2007 FORD MUSTANG RECALL NOTICE ABOUT THE TIRE VALVE STEM BEING RECALLED DUE TO CRACKING. TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP, THEY TOOK ABOUT 5 MINUTES AND LOOKED AT THE VALVE STEMS AND SAID THEY WERE FINE. FEW WEEKS LATER WE GOT A LOW TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR WARNING. WENT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP. THEY SAID THE RIGHT REAR TIRE JUST HAD LOW AIR PRESSURE, THEY PUT AIR IN IT AND CHARGED FOR THEIR INSPECTION? THE NEXT DAY THE LIGHT WAS BACK ON....WENT BACK TO DEALER, THEY SAID THE SENSOR IS UNRELIABLE AND THEY SEE NOTHING WRONG SO WE HAD THEM BALANCE AND ROTATE THE TIRES. OCT 4TH DRIVING 65 MPH DOWN I-20 RIGHT REAR TIRE BLEW OUT; ALMOST LOST CONTROL OF CAR, RAN OUT ACROSS THE GRASS TO GET THE VEHICLE STOPPED AND UNDER CONTROL. TOOK THE TIRE TO THE DEALER THE NEXT MORNING; THEY SAY IS BLEW BECAUSE IT WAS LOW IN AIR??? NO LOW PRESSURE LIGHT? THEY ALREADY WORKED ON THE SAME TIRE 3 TIMES...THEY STILL REFUSE. TOOK TIRE TO A TIRE STORE: FACTS ARE: TIRE VALVE STEM IS CRACKED AND WAS ON THE RECALL, AIR LEAKED OUT SUDDENLY AND THE TIRE EXPLODED! THEY ALSO MOUNTED WEIGHTS ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE MAGS WHEN THEY BALANCED THE TIRE, ONE WEIGHT WAS ACTUALLY DUG DOWN INTO THE RUBBER, ALSO, POSSIBLY CAUSING THE AIR LEAK. WE HAD ALL VALVE STEMS REPLACED, ALL FOUR WERE CRACKED AND WE FOUND OUT THE ONLY WAY TO TRULY INSPECT THEM WAS TO REMOVE THE TIRE OFF THE RIM WHICH THE DEALERSHIP NEVER DID DO. WE ARE OUT $275 FOR TWO TIRES, VALVE STEM REPLACEMENTS, BALANCING AND THE LABOR FOR ALL THIS THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN REPAIRED AND HANDLED BY THE DEALERSHIP FOR FREE DUE TO THE RECALL......NOT TO MENTION THAT IF HE HAD FLIPPED THAT CAR AND GOTTEN KILLED WHAT WE WOULD BE FACING. POOREST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER SEEN; DEALERSHIP SHOULD BE SHUTDOWN BY DMV FOR SAFETY VIOLATIONS AND NOT PROPERLY HANDLING A RECALL NOTICE. (WE HAD TO REPLACE TWO TIRES BECAUSE THEY HAVE 30,000 MILES ON THEM AND WE DID NOT THINK IT WOULD BE A GOOD THING JUST THING TO PUT ONE NEW TIRE ON THE CAR! *TR
I HAVE A 2007 FORD MUSTANG 4.0 V6 WITH APPROXIMATELY 42K MILES. IT HAS RECENTLY DEVELOPED A VERY SERIOUS SAFETY-RELATED DEFECT WHICH THE FORD DEALERSHIP HAS REFUSED TO INVESTIGATE. FOR NO APPARENT REASON, WHILE STOPPED IN TRAFFIC AND WITH MY FOOT FIRMLY ON THE BREAK PEDAL,, THE ENGINE WILL SUDDENLY GO FULL THROTTLE. THIS FORCES THE CAR TO SUDDENLY LUNGE FORWARD AS THE REAR TIRES START SPINNING, OVERRIDING THE FRONT BREAKS. THIS HAS CAUSED ME TO COME DANGEROUSLY CLOSE TO COLLIDING WITH THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME OR ENTERING AN INTERSECTION INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC. THE ONLY RECOURSE IS TO QUICKLY TURN OFF THE IGNITION WHICH SEEMS TO RESET THE PROBLEM. THIS HAPPENS WITH SOME REGULARITY, APPROXIMATELY 2 TO 3 TIMES A DAY BUT IS NOT REPRODUCIBLE ON DEMAND. THE FORD DEALERSHIP HAS OFFERED TO INVESTIGATE, AT MY EXPENSE, BUT WITH NO ASSURANCE THAT THIS PROBLEM WOULD BE CORRECTED. I HAVE HAD TO ALTER THE WAY THAT I DRIVE TO COMPENSATE FOR THIS BY LEAVING ADDITIONAL SPACE BETWEEN MY CAR AND THE ONE IN FRONT OF ME AND AT INTERSECTIONS. I FEAR THAT I MAY NOT BE ABLE TO PREVENT MY VEHICLE FROM BECOMING INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE OF THIS DEFECT. *TR
THIS IS THE SECOND TIME IN TWO YEARS OF OWNERSHIP THAT THE FRONT HOOD HAS ALMOST POPPED ALL THE WAY OPEN WAS DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE. IT DID NOT OPEN FULLY BUT WAS CAUGHT BY THE LATCH ! *TR
HAVING PROBLEMS TRYING TO GAS UP MY 2007 MUSTANG AT LEAST EVERY 3RD OR 4TH FILLUP. NO MATTER HOW MUCH GAS IN THE TANK THE PUMP CLICKS LIKE WHEN FULL BUT IN FACT IS ONLY HALF FULL. WHEN TANK IS HALF FULL IT CLICKS AT 3/4 FULL. TRIED EVERY OTHER MEANS TO FILL BUT NOTHING WORKS. PHONED MY DEALER, (VIOLETTE MOTORS IN EDMUNDSTON, NB. CANADA) TOLD ME HE NEVER HAD ANY COMPLAINTS ON THIS SUBJECT. I TOLD HIM TO LOOK AT HIS TSB,S AND HE WOULD SURELY SEE THERE ARE PROBLEMS. HE TOLD ME THAT HIS INSTRUCTIONS WERE TO TELL ME TO GAS UP ELSEWHERE. *TR
06/30/09 7973 MILES 15 MONTHS OLD BROUGHT CAR TO DEALER FOR LEAK IN MANUAL TRANSMISSION AT DRIVE SHAFT. SEAL CHANGED. BROUGHT CAR TO DEALER 02/26/13 SAME LEAK, SEAL CHANGED. CAR TO DEALER 02/19/14 SAME LEAK, CHANGE SEAL AND FLANGE. FLANGE DEFECTIVE, UNABLE TO EXCEED 30-35 MPH. BACK TO DEALER. TWO MORE FLANGES INSTALLED AND FOUND TO BE DEFECTIVE. PICKED UP 02/28/14. CAR TO DEALER 02/12/15 NOW OUT OF WARRANTY NEEDS SEAL,FLANGE AND NOW A DRIVE SHAFT, COST1100 DOLLARS. FEEL IF THIS IS THE REAL PROBLEM CAUSING LEAK DEALER MISDIAGNOSED FOR TOO LONG. NOW I'M STUCK PAYING REPAIR BILL. *TR
LOW TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR COMES ON AFTER A COUPLE OF WEEKS OF AIRING UP TIRES I TOOK TO FORD WHO SAID TIRES WHERE OVERINFLATED SO THE SET IT BACK TO THE CORRECT AIR PRESSURE ONLY TO GET THE LIGHT BACK ON IN A WEEK . THIS IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM BECAUSE TIRES CAN BE OVER INFLATED WHICH COULD CAUSE THE TIRE TO EXPLODE OR CAUSE EXTREMELY QUICK TIRE WEAR.{EITHER BY OVER INFLATING OR THE LOW TIRE PRESSURE} THESE TIRES ARE OVER INFLATED ONLY TO KEEP THE TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT FROM COMING BACK ON. I ALSO BROUGHT UP TO FORD SERVICE DEPT. ABOUT THE VALVE STEM ISSUE I READ , BUT THE LOOKED AT ME LIKE I WAS CRAZY . NOBODY THERE HEARD OF THAT . I AM JUST 1 PERSON BUT I HAVE A SMALL CHILD AND DON'T WANT THIS ISSUE TO CAUSE A SERIOUS ACCIDENT THANK YOU *TR
THE PAINT ON THE HOOD OF THE CAR HAS RUSTED OFF AT NOT EVEN 40,000 MILES OF OWNING THE CAR. FORD DOES NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR FAULTY PAINT. THEIR WARRANTY ONLY COVERS BUMPER TO BUMPER, INCLUDING PAINT, UP TO 36,000 MILES. I HAVE OWNED CARS WHERE THE PAINT REMAINED INTACT WELL OVER 200,000 MILES. *TR
WHILE EXECUTING A LEFT TURN ACROSS A SIX-LANE INTERSECTION, I NOTICED ANOTHER VEHICLE APPROACHING THE LEFT SIDE OF MY VEHICLE AT A SPEED OF AT LEAST DOUBLE THE LIMIT. I ACCELERATED HARD TO GET OUT OF THE WAY. THE THROTTLE "STUCK" FOR AN ESTIMATED TWO TO THREE SECONDS WHICH CAUSED LOSS OF CONTROL AND IMPACT WITH A FOOT HIGH CURB AT THE FAR SIDE OF THE INTERSECTION. DAMAGE TO MY CAR WAS OVER $8,000.00. THERE HAVE BEEN NO REPEAT EPISODES TO THIS DATE. *TR
TOOK MY CAR TO ANDYMOHR FORD DEALERSHIP IN PLAINFIELD IN. THEY BROKE THE HARNESS FOR AIRBAG, I HAD TO DRIVE HOME WITH AIRBAGS UNHOOKED AND NOT WORKING. THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO ORDER A PART AND CALL ME BACK. AFTER 2 WEEKS I CALLED THEM BACK AND THEY HAD NO IDEA WHO I WAS OR WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT. THEY DID ORDER A PART AND REPLACED IT, I HAVE A PAPER SAYING AIRBAG WAS FIXED BUT MY CAR STILL SHOWS UP ON THE RECALL LIST. IS MY AIRBAG FIXED OR NOT?
I AM THE OWNER OF A 2007 FORD MUSTANG WITH A MANUAL TRANSMISSION. I HAVE HAD THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP TWICE BEFORE THE INCIDENT THAT OCCURRED 04/11/09, COMPLAINING OF SIMILAR ISSUES. I PURCHASED THIS CAR NEW IN MAY OF 2007. I WAS HAVING A PROBLEM WITH THE CAR FEELING SLUGGISH AND FEELING LIKE IT WAS VERY STIFF TO SHIFT OR STICKING. I TOOK THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP APPROXIMATELY AUGUST 07 AND THEY ADVISED ME THAT THERE WAS NOT A PROBLEM THAT I WAS JUST NOT USED TO THE CAR. ALL THEY DID WAS DRIVE IT THEY DID NOT INSPECT THE CAR. I THEN HAD A PROBLEM IN JAN. OR FEB. OF 2009 IN WHICH IS DISENGAGED THE PARKING BRAKE AND ATTEMPTED TO DRIVE THE CAR IT WAS SLUGGISH AND WOULDN'T SHIFT GEARS AND WOULDN'T DRIVE PROPERLY. THE ABS LIGHTS CAME ON AND THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT CAME ON AND THE CAR JUST SAT SPINNING. I HAD TO HAVE THE CAR TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY KEPT IT IN THE GARAGE FOR A COUPLE HOURS THEN TOLD ME IT WAS FINE TO DRIVE, THEY SAID THE CAR JUST NEEDED TO UNTHAW?? THEY DID NOT LOOK AT IT AGAIN. THIS LEADS UP TO 04/11/2009 IN WHICH I PARKED THE CAR MADE SURE THE PARKING BRAKE WAS SET AND THE CAR WAS IN GEAR. AS I WENT INTO MY HOUSE I HEARD A CLICKING TYPE SOUND AND THE CAR STARTED ROLLING BACKWARDS. IT ROLLED ACROSS A PARKING LOT INTO THE NEIGHBORS YARD, OVER A TREE STUMP, HIT A MAILBOX BEFORE COMING TO REST AGAINST A TELEPHONE POLE. THIS WAS WITH THE PARKING BRAKE ENGAGED AND THE CAR STILL IN GEAR. I HAVE HAD THE CAR TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE IT WAS PURCHASED AND THAT IS WHERE IT CURRENTLY SITS. *TR
MY 2007 FORD MUSTANG WAS SHIPPED WITHOUT TIRE AIR PRESSURE SENSORS. WHEN I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER THEY WANTED ME TO PAY FOR SENSORS. *TR
POWER WINDOWS KEEPS BLOWING FUSE, 6 TIMES NOW AND THEY CAN'T FIGURE IT OUT, SAID I AM USING THEM TOO MUCH. *TR
I HAVE A 2007 FORD MUSTANG. AT 25,000 MILES THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE TIRE THE BRAKES ARE SCRATCHING UP THE ROTOR. I HAVE READ MANY CASES WITH THE SAME PROBLEM WITH OTHER FORD VEHICLES. THIS IS DEFINITELY A DEFECT. *TR
WHILE DRIVING THIS 2007 FORD MUSTANG ON 2/13/2010, THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL STUCK AT FULL THROTTLE. STAYED STUCK FOR 3-5 SECONDS. CAR WAS GOING IN EXCESS OF 80MPH. BEFORE IT RELEASED. I AM A VERY EXPERIENCED DRIVER, AND FEEL THAT THIS COULD OF BEEN A VERY BAD SITUATION IF SOMEONE LESS EXPERIENCED WAS DRIVING. *TR
AT 18,000 MILES THE TIRES ON MY FORD MUSTANG SHELBY ARE SHOWING THE CORD. THEY SAID THE ALIGNMENT IS OK. THEY WANT ME TO BUY NEW TIRES TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM. *TR
MY WIFE AND HER FRIEND WERE DRIVING DOWN A 2 LANE ROAD IN OUR 2007 FORD MUSTANG AND WRECKED INTO A POWER POLL TOTALING THE CAR. THE FRONT FRAME WAS BROKE IN HALF AND THE AIRBAGS STILL DID NOT DEPLOY LUCKILY THEY WERE NOT INJURED BAD FORD JUST TOLD ME THAT IS THE WAY THEY ARE DESIGNED TO WORK. I THOUGHT THAT IF IN A FRONTAL COLLISION THE AIRBAGS DEPLOY. *TR
MY CAR IS A 2007 FORD MUSTANG GT AND SINCE WE PURCHASED IT IN MARCH 2007, WE HAVE HAD 3 SEPARATE ISSUES WITH THE VALVE STEMS. IN THE MOST RECENT INCIDENT, MY SON WAS DRIVING THE CAR AND EXPERIENCED A TIRE BLOWOUT WHILE TRAVELING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. WHEN WE TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER WE WERE TOLD THAT THE PROBLEM AGAIN CAME FROM A CRACKED VALVE STEM. FORD DID REPLACE THE TIRE AT NO CHARGE TO US; HOWEVER I STILL HAVE CONCERNS ABOUT THE SAFETY OF THE VEHICLE AND THE REMAINING VALVE STEMS. *TR
I RECEIVED A RECALL REMINDER REGARDING RECALL 08C02 IN MAY OF 2008 FOR # AND I HAVE NEVER OWNED THIS CAR, SO I CONTACTED FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD FORWARD TO CURRENT OWNER. JANUARY 2009 I RECEIVED AN URGENT RECALL NOTICE 08C02 FOR SAME # FROM MY LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND ASKED IF THEY COULD HELP TO GET THIS NOTICE TO THE CORRECT OWNER, THE DEALERSHIP SAID THEY CONTACTED FORD AND THEN I WAS TOLD THERE ISN'T ANYTHING FORD CAN DO. I'M CONCERNED THAT THE CURRENT OWNER ISN'T AWARE OF A SAFETY ISSUE FOR THAT CAR AND NOBODY SEEMS TO CARE. I'M HOPING YOU CAN HELP. THANK YOU *TR
FUEL FILLING IS AWKWARD TO SAY THE LEAST! I CAN ONLY FILL TO JUST OVER HALF A TANK OF FUEL THEN THE CLICKER FORCES ME TO STOP. THE OWNERS WEBSITE CLAIM THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM FOR 2007 MUSTANGS AND THAT WE SHOULD TRY ANOTHER GAS STATION WITH A LESS SENSITIVE FILLER OR TURN THE NOZZLE TO THE 2 O CLOCK POSITION. TURNING THE NOZZLE DOES WORK FROM TIME TO TIME BUT THE PROBLEM STILL REMAINS. WHY AREN'T THE DEALERS ACKNOWLEDGING THIS IS A PROBLEM A PROVIDE A SUITABLE SOLUTION? CAR FAILURE WHILE DRIVING CAR SHUT COMPLETELY OFF WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT AT 45MPH. CAR IS A FORD 2007 MUSTANG V6 MODEL YEAR 36,000 BOUGHT BRAND NEW FROM LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP. I DRIVE A 2007 MUSTANG, MANUAL TRANSMISSION. IN 2008, THE EMERGENCY BRAKE SEEMED TO NOT BE RELEASING ALL THE WAY. I COULD TELL THIS BECAUSE A) MY VEHICLE WOULD SLOW DOWN MORE QUICKLY THAN BEFORE, B) ON A SLIGHT GRADE, MY VEHICLE WOULD REMAIN IN PLACE. THIS ISSUE OCCURED AFTER NORMAL USE OF E-BRAKE NOT BUT 10 MONTHS AFTER THE BRAND NEW PURCHASE FROM DARCARS IN LANHAM, MD. I TOOK THE VEHICLE IN TO LINDSEY FORD IN WHEATON, MD (AROUND THE SAME TIME THE AIR BAG MODULE RECALL WAS ISSUED...) AND THE REPRESENTATIVE TOLD ME THAT THEY "COULD NOT VERIFY MY CONCERNS AT THIS TIME". HAVING REPLACED THE AIR BAG MODULE FREE OF CHARGE, I WAS IDIOTICALLY APPEASED WITH JUST THAT AND DIDN'T PRESS THE E-BRAKE ISSUE FUTHER. COINCIDENTALLY, AS I WAS LEAVING THEIR LOT, I WENT OVER A SPEED BUMP WHICH SEEMED TO RELEASE THE BRAKE ENOUGH TO NOT CAUSE ANY NOTICABLE BRAKE TENSION WHILE DRIVING. NEEDLESS TO SAY, FROM THAT POINT ON I WAS RELUCTANT TO USE THE EMERGENCY PARKING BRAKE AND ALWAY KEPT MY VEHICLE IN GEAR WHEN PARKED. JUST RECENTLY, I HAD ANOTHER ISSUE WITH THE CLUTCH PEDAL-- GRADUALLY SINKING TO THE FLOOR (WHICH I WAS TOLD WAS AN ISSUE WITH THE CLUTCH SLAVE), AND AGAIN I WENT TO LINDSEY TO SEE IF THEY COULD HELP. THIS TIME AROUND, THEY NOTICE THAT THE E-BRAKE IS VERY MUCH STUCK, AND SUGGESTED I REPLACE THE BRAKE CABLE. $500.00 I DO NOT HAVE. THEY WONT EVEN BOTHER TO LOOK AT THE CLUTCH SLAVE UNTIL THE BRAKE CABLES HAVE BEEN REPLACED.

I HAVE A 2007 FORD MUSTANG GT PREMIUM CONVERTIBLE. I HAD TAKEN TWO OF MY TIRES TO NTB TO HAVE THE TIRES REPLACED WITH OEM TIRES. I NOTICED THE VALVE STEMS CRACKED ON THE OLD TIRES, AND ASKED TO HAVE THEM REPLACED. UPON DRIVING THE CAR THE VERY NEXT DAY, ONE OF THE NEW TIRES LOST PRESSURE AND WENT FLAT ON THE HIGHWAY. I HAVE A 2007 FORD MUSTANG (MANUAL TRANSMISSION) AND I'VE BEEN DRIVING FOR A YEAR. ON NOV 18, I HAD PARKED MY CAR WITH THE PARKING/ EMERGENCY BRAKE ON, LIKE I HAVE DONE EVERYDAY IN PAST 1 YEAR. I DIDN'T PAY MUCH ATTENTION TO IT TO BEGIN WITH, BUT THE SLIPPING STEADILY WORSENED. I ONLY WORK 3 MILES FROM HOME, SO MY OPPORTUNITIES TO EXPERIENCE THE REVVING AND THEN SLIPPAGE DIDN'T COME UP AS OFTEN AS ONE MAY PERCEIVE. I TOOK IT TO THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP ABOUT JUNE 23RD, AT WHICH TIME THEY CHECKED THINGS OUT AND CALLED ME BACK A FEW HOURS LATER. THE FIRST CALL FROM THE SERVICE REP. I HAD A PROBLEM WITH A DEFECTIVE TIRE VALVE RECENTLY ON MY 2007 FORD MUSTANG, AND NOW WONDER IF FORD ISN'T USING THIS SAME MANUFACTURER OF TIRE VALVES IN THEIR NEW CARS. MORE DETAILS OF MY INCIDENT FOLLOW... 1) I WAS DRIVING AT APPROX. 55 MPH ON TWO LANE ROAD ON A HOT (90+) SUMMER DAY (6/8/08). IT WOULD NOT HOLD PRESSURE, SO I INSTALLED THE SPARE, AND DROVE TO A NEARBY SEARS TO REPAIR THE VALVE STEM. 3) I PAID $26 FOR A "FLAT REPAIR" - BASICALLY THEY REPLACED THE TIRE VALVE. I DO NOT HAVE THE OLD PART. THE GOOD NEWS IS THE TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR TECHNOLOGY SAVED ME FROM HAVING A HIGH SPEED FLAT. I EXPECTED TO FIND A NAIL IN MY TIRE, NOT A FAULTY VALVE STEM.
