THE CONTACT USED THE EMERGENCY BRAKE TO SLOW DOWN THE VEHICLE AND HAD TO REMOVE THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 55,000.

I AM A AFRAID TO DRIVE CAR AND THE DEALERS SAYS THEY CAN NOT GET THE PART FOR AIR BAG. BEEN WAITING A LONG TIME. WHAT CAN BE DONE ABOUT THIS?
POWER STEERING SOME TIMES DOES NOT WORK , COMES AND GOES. IN MOTION AND STOPPED . POWER STEERING PUMP HAS BEEN REPLACED AND FLUILD .
FORD DOES NOT HAVE PARTS FOR THE DRIVER OR PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAGS. I CALLED FORD AND SPOKE WITH REN AT 8:15 AM ON 09/23/16. I EXPRESSED MY CONCERN ABOUT THE METAL SHRAPNEL IF THE BAG DEPLOYED. I ASKED FOR A RENTAL CAR. REN TOLD ME THEY DID NOT PROVIDE A RENTAL CAR. I EXPLAINED THIS IS MY ONLY CAR. REN INFORMED ME THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG ALSO NEEDED A SECOND REPAIR. I CALLED MULINAX FORD, APOPKA, FL - NO PARTS. NO RENTAL CAR PROVIDED - IT IS MY ONLY CARD.
"TAKATA RECALL" WE GOT A RECALL NOTICE ABOUT DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG MADE APPOINTMENT WITH LOCAL DEALER TO HAVE IT FIXED WHEN GOT TO APPOINTMENT DEALER SAID RECALL HAD ALREADY BEEN SERVICED A MONTH PRIOR AT MOUNTAINEER AUTOMOTIVE IN BECKLEY WV WHICH WAS FALSE BECAUSE THE CAR HAD BEEN IN OUR POSSESSION AT THAT TIME AND NOT IN WV .MY DEALER CHECKED AIRBAG TO SEE IF IT HAD BEEN CHANGED IT WAS STILL THE OLD AIRBAG .THEY WILL NOT FIX IT BEINGS THE VIN SHOWS IT HAS ALREADY BEEN SERVICED. I HAVE BEEN GETTING THE RUN AROUND FROM MOUNTAINEER AUTOMOTIVE BECKLEY WV FOR MONTHS NOW..THEY SAY THEY HAVE TO DO AN APPEAL IM SURE THESE THINGS TAKE TIME.. THE ISSUE HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED FOR YEARS. I CANNOT AFFORD A NEW VEHICLE AND OUR SAFETY IS AT RISK. FORD AND THE DEALERS DO NOTHING TO HELP US REGARDING THE REPLACEMENT. THEY STATE THE REPLACEMENT UNITS ARE NOT AVIALABLE AND HAVE NO ETA. YOUR ORGANIZATION AS WELL DOES NOTHING OTHER THAN POINT ME TO THE TAKATA ORGANIZATION WHO YOU CANNOT LEAVE A VOICE MAIL FOR OR TALK TO SOMEONE FOR RESOLUTIONS. HOW DO WE GET HELP? TAKATA RECALL. THIS RECALL WAS ISSUED MORE THEN A YEAR AGO AS WE WERE SENT NOTICES REGARDING TEMPORARY "FIXES" WHILE AWAITING RECALLED AIRBAGS TO BE OBTAINED BY FORD DEALERS. AS OF TODAY MY FORD DEALER ONLY HAS ONE (DRIVERS SIDE) AIRBAG AVAILABLE. THIS PRESENTS ENORMOUS RISK TO PASSENGER AND DRIVER WHILE WAITING. I CURRENTLY HAVE AN APPOINTMENT FOR THURSDAY. SEPT. 1ST. FOR DRIVER AIRBAG ONLY. ON TOP OF THAT IF I CAN'T GET MY CAR HERE BEFORE 2PM, I WON'T GET IT BACK THE SAME DAY. SO I'M STUCK HAVING TO PAY A RENT A CAR FEE. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD WHICH CAN RESULT IN DEATH AND I HAVE TO BE WITHOUT A VEHICLE FOR THE TIME NEEDED FOR REPAIR. THIS IS NOT FAIR NOR SAFE.

TAKATA RECALL I SCHEDULED A RECALL AT A FORD DEALERSHIP IN OKLAHOMA CITY BOB MOORE AND I WAS TOLD THAT THEY ARE RECEIVING 5 REPLACEMENTS AIR BAGS A MONTH AND THERE IS A WAITING LIST OF 90 CARS IN FRONT OF ME. THIS WOULD TAKE AROUND 14 MONTHS TO HAVE MY CAR REPAIRED. THIS CAR WAS IN A HIGH HUMIDITY AREA BEFORE BEEN REGISTERED IN OKLAHOMA 8 MONTHS AGO. I EXPLAINED TO THE DEALER THAT THE CAR WAS PREVIOUS IN A PRIORITY RECALL AREA AND I WAS TOLD THAT IT MAKES NO DIFFERENCE FOR THEM. WE HAVE BEEN WAITING SINCE JULY 2016 FOR THE PASSENGER AIR BAG TO BE REPLACED. UNABLE TO USE THE CAR WITH A PASSENGER.
MY COMPLAINT IS ABOUT THE COMPLAINTS ON HERE. I THINK MOST ARE MADE UP AND OR FAKED. I HAVE OWNED NEW 2005 MUSTANG GT, NEW 2007 SHELBY GT, USED 2008 SHELBY GT 500, USED 2009 SHELBY GT 500, AND CURRENTLY 2007 ROUSH GT, DATING BACK OVER 12 YEARS, AND I HAVE NOT EXPERIENCED ANY OF THE ISSUES REPORTED HERE. NO FUELING PROBLEMS, NO WATER LEAKS, NO THROTTLE PROBLEMS, NO PAINT ISSUES, NO BRAKE PROBLEMS, NO ELECTRICAL ISSUES, NO CLUTCH/TRANSMISSION ISSUES, IN FACT, OTHER THAN THE 2007 SHELBY GT BEING TOO LOW FOR PRACTICAL STREET USE, THERE HAVE BEEN NO PROBLEMS AT ALL. THEY HAVE ALL BEEN GOOD RELIABLE TROUBLE FREE CARS AND I SUBMIT THAT THOSE WHO HAVE REPORTED ALL OF THESE PROBLEMS ARE EITHER MISLEADING, FOR SOME REASON WANTING TO TRASH THIS MODEL, OR SIMPLY CLUELESS, AND/OR HAVE ABUSED THE CAR. I FIND NO PROBLEMS WHATSOEVER.

APPROXIMATELY 1 YEAR AFTER PURCHASE (NEW 2007 MUSTANG CONVERTABLE), THE ORIGINAL REAR VIEW MIRROR WAS REPLACED WITH AN OEM PART #6U5Z17700BA. A FEW YEARS AFTER DEALER INSTALLATION, IT BEGAN TO VIBRATE VERY BADLY; HOWEVER, THE DEALER STATED THEY COULD NOT STOP THE VIBRATION. APPROXIMATELY 2 MONTHS AGO, WHILE MY WIFE WAS DRIVING THE CAR, UPON A SMOOTH ASPHALT ROADWAY, THE CLIP THAT HOLDS THE MIRROR ONTO THE WINDSHIELD BRACKET, SEPARATED AND THE MIRROR FELL OFF THE WINDSHIELD AND DANGLED BY THE WIRING CONNECTION. I HAVE ATTEMPTED TO REATTACH THE CLIP TO THE MIRROR, USING SUPERGLUE OR JB WELD; HOWEVER, THE REPAIR DOES NOT LAST MORE THAN 2 OR 3 WEEKS. THE DEALERSHIP BODY SHOP STATED THE MIRROR CANNOT BE REPAIRED, BECAUSE THE RETAINING CLIP CANNOT BE PERMANENTLY REJOINED TO THE MIRROR.
