I WAS DRIVING TO WORK ONE EARLY MORNING WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN MY STEERING WHEEL FROZE AND COULDN'T STEER MY CAR AND ALMOST CRASHED ON THE FREEWAY. MY 2012 MUSTANG V6 HAS ELECTRIC POWER STEERING. THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE POWER STEERING AND CAN KILL SOMEONE.
TAKATA RECALL - STILL WAITING FOR KEARNY PEARSON FORD TO CONTACT ME FOR REPLACEMENT THE AIRBAG. BOOKED AN APPOINTMENT IN AUGUST 2017 BUT THEY SAID I NEED TO WAIT FOR THEM TO CONTACT ME WHEN THEY HAVE THE PIECES IN STOCK.

THE DEALER CALLED THE DEALER TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FOR THE RECALL REPAIR AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE PART NEEDED FOR THE REPAIR WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
THROTTLE BODY MALFUNCTION - CAUSES LOSS OF POWER WHILE DRIVING. ACTS AS THOUGH YOU TOOK YOUR FOOT OFF THE GAS PEDAL. ENGINE WILL NOT REV ABOVE IDLE SPEED. CHECK-ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON. IF YOU STOP, TURN OFF THE CAR, AND RE-START, IT WILL BE OK FOR A WHILE. IT HAPPENED TO ME TWICE IN 2 WEEKS. PART WAS REPLACED, BUT THE NEW PART FAILED AGAIN IN 16 MONTHS. HAD THAT REPLACED THIS WEEK. (MAY '17). I AM AWARE OF FORD CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PROGRAM 16B23, BUT THE DEALER SAID MY VIN WAS NOT ONE OF THE AFFECTED VEHICLES. I BEG TO DIFFER.
WHILE DRIVING THE CAR LOST POWER AND WOULD NOT RESPOND TO PUSHING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. THE WRENCH LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND THE PANEL AND THE ENGINE DROPPED TO A ROUGH IDLE. I HAD TO ACTIVATE MY FLASHERS AND COAST INTO A PARKING LOT. TURNED OFF THE MOTOR AND RESTARTED THE CAR. OPERATED NORMALLY UNTIL I ACCELERATED OUT OF THE PARKING LOT. SAME CONDITION HAPPEN AGAIN AND I HAD TO ACTIVATE FLASHERS AND TURN OFF THE MOTOR AND RESTART THE CAR AGAIN WHILE STUCK IN THE ROAD. OPERATED NORMALLY AGAIN AND MADE IT HOME. RAN A CODE SCANNER ON THE CAR AND IT REPORTED A PROBLEM WITH THROTTLE: P2111 FORD THROTTLE ACTUATOR CONTROL SYSTEM ' STUCK OPEN.
TAKATA RECALL. I KEEP GETTING THESE REMINDERS TO HAVE AIRBAGS REPLACED. ONLY PROBLEM IS MY DEALERSHIP KEEPS SAYING THEY DON'T HAVE THEM. I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET IN BEFORE APRIL. I HAVE BEEN TOLD WHEN THEY COME IN I WILL GET A CALL. ALSO WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS UNLIKELY MINE WOULD RUPTURE. THIS IS MY 17 YEAR OLDS CAR. I WANT THEM FIXED BUT DEALERSHIP DOESN'T SEEM TO BE IN ANY HURRY. WE RESIDE IN SAN ANTONIO, TX
AT WIDE OPEN THROTTLE THE TRANSMISSION WILL NOT ALLOW A GEAR CHANGE FROM FIRST TO SECOND IF THE RPM IS GRATER THAN 6000 RPM. THE CLUTCH PEDDLE RELEASES AT THE FLOOR. AFTER THE ENGINE HAS SLOWED THE CLUTCH RETURNS TO NORMAL AND THE CAR CAN NOW BE SHIFTED INTO SECOND. IT MAY BE CAUSED BY TROUGH OUT BEARING OR SPRING TENSION ON THE CLUTCH ITS SELF. I HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR 3 MONTHS AGO. THE CAR ONLY HAS 46000 MILES ON IT. I HAVE READ OTHER PEOPLE HAVE HAD THE SAME COMMON PROBLEM.

RECEIVED A SECOND RECALL ON THE PASSENGER AIR BAGS FOR THE MUSTANG IN MARCH 2017. CALLED THE 800 NUMBER AND WAS TOLD THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE AND WE WOULD RECEIVE A LETTER WHEN THEY WERE. HERE WE ARE IN DECEMBER 2017 AND STILL NO LETTER AND NO FIX FOR THE PASSENGER AIR BAG. THE DRIVER SIDE AIR BAGS WERE REPLACED ON 8/5/16.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 FORD MUSTANG. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 45 MPH, THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROLLER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 18,500.

I HAVE CALLED SEVERAL FORD DEALERSHIPS TO HAVE MY TAKATA AIR BAG RECALL SERVICE AND THEY ALL SAY THERE ARE NO PARTS AND I HAVE TO WAIT FOR MONTHS TO GET AN AIR BAG PART. WHEN I CALL THE NATIONAL FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE LINE, I GOT THROUGH THE PHONE TREE AND CHOSE TAKATA AIR BAG WHICH HUNG UP ON ME AFTER 5 MINUTES OF DEAD AIR. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR FROM AN AUTO MANUFACTURER WITH A RECALL ONGOING.
TAKATA RECALL: RECEIVED RECALL MAR2016. CONTACTED FORD DEALER REGARDING FIX. I ASKED HIM 1. IS THE CAR SAFE TO DRIVE. HIS ANSWER WAS THE NHTSA SAID IT WAS CLEARED TO DRIVE. 2. IS IT OK TO HAVE A PASSENGER IN THE AFFECTED SEAT. SAME ANSWER AS IN #1. 3. WHEN WILL THE PART BECOME AVAILABLE? NO CLUE. HE ACTUALLY SAID IT COULD BE YEARS SINCE TAKATA WAS BANKRUPT AND THEY WERE LOOKING FOR OTHER MANUFACTURERS TO MAKE THE PART. THE NHTSA WEBSITE STATES RECALLS ARE ISSUED WHEN EQUIPMENT CREATES AN UNREASONABLE SAFETY RISK OR FAILS TO MEET MINIMUM SAFETY STANDARDS. SINCE THE FORD DEALER STATED THAT THE NHTSA CLEARED VEHICLES UNDER THIS RECALL AS 'SAFE TO DRIVE', COULD I GET IT IN WRITING THAT MY VEHICLE IS SAFE TO DRIVE? I ALSO LIVE IN FLORIDA WHERE THE 50% INCREASE IN PROBABILITY EXISTS DUE TO TEMP AND HUMIDITY. ALSO, COULD YOU PLEASE EXPLAIN WHY ONLY THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG IS SUBJECT TO EXPLODING AND NOT THE DRIVERS SIDE.

RECCALLI FOR TAKATA PASSENGER AIRBAGS SAFETY NOTICE 17SO1/NHTSA RECALL 17S01. NOTIFIED MARCH 2017. HAVE DRIVEN 8000 MILES AND 7 MONTHS. FURTHR DELAY IS INEXCUSABLE.
TAKATA RECALL - WE HAVE CONTACTED THE FORD DEALERSHIP SEVERAL TIMES REGARDING THE RECALL FOR THE TAKATA AIRBAG INFLATOR. WE ARE TOLD THE DEALERSHIP DOES NOT HAVE THE PARTS TO MAKE THE NECESSARY REPAIR, AND IS WAITING FOR THE MANUFACTURER TO SEND THEM THE PARTS.
TAKATA RECALL. I AM UNABLE TO GET A REPLACEMENT PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG AND THE DEALERSHIP IS TELLING ME THERE IS NO REMEDY AVAILABLE. I HAVE RECEIVED BANKRUPTCY NOTICE REGARDING THIS AND DO NOT FEEL THAT I SHOULD HAVE TO PAY TO GET THIS FIXED, IF PARTS ARE FINALLY AVAILABLE. PLEASE ADVISE ON THE DIRECTION I SHOULD GO TO MAKE MY CAR SAFE AGAIN.
TAKATA RECALL. FRONTAL PASSENGER AIRBAG INFLATOR MAY RUPTURE AND HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. RECEIVED NOTIFICATION THROUGH THE MAIL MARCH 2017. I'VE CONTACTED VISTA FORD OF WOODLAND HILLS CA NUMEROUS TIMES SINCE THE FIRST NOTIFICATION & ALSO SPOKE TO THE MGR. OF SERVICE JEFF HARKNESS. JEFF INDICATED HE HAS NO INFORMATION ON WHEN THE REPLACEMENT PARTS WILL BE AVAILABLE WHATSOEVER. NEED TO HAVE THE AIRBAG REPAIRED ASAP. IF IT RUPTURES, IT MIGHT KILL OR SEVERALLY INJURE SOMEONE. ALREADY HAD ON AIRBAG REPLACED ON THE DRIVER SIDE, NOW THE PASSENGER SIDE?
TAKATA RECALL. I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM FORD IN MARCH 2017 STATING MY PASSENGER AIRBAG IS BEING RECALLED. I CALLED THEM IN MAY AND THEY STILL DIDN'T HAVE A REPLACEMENT AVAILABLE. I CALLED THEM TODAY AND THEY STILL DON'T HAVE THEM AND COULDN'T TELL ME WHEN THEY WOULD BE AVAILABLE. I ASKED FOR A LOANER AND THEY DENIED ME ONE. I NOW HAVE A CAR THAT ONLY I CAN RIDE IN AND THEY WON'T GIVE ME A LOANER. THIS AMOUNT OF TIME TO REPLACE MY AIRBAG IS WAY BEYOND REASONABLE.

I AM NOT ALLOWING ANY PASSENGERS TO RIDE IN MY VEHICLE AND IT HAS BEEN NECESSARY FOR ME TO RENT VEHICLES ON OCCASIONS WHERE I NEED TO TRANSPORT PEOPLE. A REPLACEMENT PART OR INSTRUCTIONS FOR REMOVAL OF THE RECALLED PART SHOULD HAVE BEEN PROVIDED BY NOW. I HAVE A VEHICLE I CAN'T DRIVE AND I CAN'T SELL. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. I HAVE OPERATED MANUAL TRANSMISSIONS BEFORE AND HAVE NEVER RAN ACROSS THIS. NO MATTER WHAT GEAR OR WHAT CONDITION IT CONSISTENTLY DOES THIS. FORD DEALER WAS TO NO HELP AT ALL. AT TIMES WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE WILL START TO UNCONTROLLABLY SWERVE AND THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT STARTS BLINKING, THIS ISSUE IS UNKNOWN TO ME WHY THIS HAPPENS AND HAS ALMOST PUT ME IN AN ACCIDENT. SECONDLY, THE ENTIRE IGNITION TUMBLER JUST POPPED OUT. I CAN PULL THE IGNITION OUT OF THE STEERING COLUMN.

CURRENTLY IT IS NOT UNDER A SAFETY RECALL BUT IT MOST CERTAINLY SHOULD BE. WHEN YOU DRIVE A CAR WITH THIS DEFECT YOUR CAN AN ACCELERATE, OR DECELERATE, AT ITS OWN WILL. IT DOES NOT RESPOND TO THE COMMANDS THE DRIVER GIVES. IT JUST SUDDENLY SLOWS OR SPEEDS UP AS IT LIKES. IF YOU HAVE NOT EXPERIENCED THIS IT MAY BE HARD TO UNDERSTAND HOW UNSAFE THIS CAN BE. IT IS NOT NAN EXPERIENCE I RECOMMEND TO ANYONE. FORD DOES NOT CONSIDER THIS A PROBLEM, BUT I DO NOT FEEL SAFE IN MY CAR AS A RESULT. TRY TOOLING ALONG I-95 AT 65 MILES PER HOUR AND HAVING YOUR CAR SUDDENLY SLOW AND SHUDDER ALMOST TO A STOP...FUN TIMES. THIS DEFECT CREATES AN UNSAFE DRIVING CONDITION THAT 100% UNACCEPTABLE AND YOU REALLY SHOULD DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT BEFORE SOMEONE, (LIKE ME) GETS KILLED. I AM SURE SOMEONE HAS ALREADY HAD ACCIDENTS BECAUSE OF THIS ISSUE.
