TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 FORD MUSTANG. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS AND IDLED, WHILE THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED AND THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE WRENCH WARNING WAS DISPLAYED (POWER TRAIN FAULT). THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE USED A DIAGNOSTIC MACHINE AND RECEIVED AN UNKNOWN CODE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO OXMOOR FORD LINCOLN 100 OXMOOR LN, LOUISVILLE, KY 40222, PHONE NUMBER: (502) 426-2500 WHERE THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE REPLICATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT PART OF THE RECALL BUT DID NOT OFFER ANY FURTHER ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000.
ON AUGUST 1, 2016, AT APPROXIMATELY 7:30 P.M., I WAS DRIVING SOUTH ON U.S, HIGHWAY 1 (Y,S, HIGHWAY 2 IS A 3-LANE ROAD). SUDDENLY, MY VEHICLE LOST THE POSER TO ACCELERATE. I WAS PANICKED, AS THERE WAS TRAFFIC BEHIND ME AND TO MY LEFT SIDE. I COULD DO NOTHING TO STOP THE LOSS OF ACCELERATION. FORTUNATELY, MY FRIEND AS FOLLOWING ME AND WAS IMMEDIATELY AWARE THAT I WAS HAVING A PROBLEM. MY FRIEND IMMEDIATELY PUT ON HIS EMERGENCY FLASHERS; AS I SLOWED, I WAS ABLE TO PULL OFF TO THE SIDE AND COAST INTO A FILLING STATION. AT THIS TIME, I NOTICED TWO THINGS; THE CAR RAN ROUGHLY AT A VERY SLOW SPEED AND A WRENCH SYMBOL APPEARED ON THE DASH. I WAS ABLE TO PULL TO A SAFE LOCATION ON THE FILLING STATION LOT. MY FRIEND SEARCHED FOR THE SYMBOL IN THE OWNER'S MANUAL WHICH INDICATED THERE WAS A THROTTLE CONTROL PROBLEM AND I SHOULD CONTACT MY DEALER IMMEDIATELY. AT THIS TIME, I CALLED AAA AND WAS ADVISED THAT A TOW TRUCK WOULD BE THERE IN APPROXIMATELY AN HOUR AND A HALF. WHEN THE TOW TRUCK ARRIVED, I COMPLETED THE PAPERWORK AND THE CAR WAS TAKE TO PARADISE FORD WHERE I PURCHASED IT IN 2012. THE FOLLOWING MORNING, FORD CALLED ME AND DIAGNOSED IT AS A DEFECTIVE THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY AND REPLACED IT. SOME RESEARCH INDICATED THAT A TSB HAD BEEN ISSUED TO FORD DEALERS ABOUT THE MALFUNCTION OF THIS ITEM. BECAUSE IN MY CASE, THIS WAS AN OBVIOUS SAFETY ISSUE, I FEEL FORD SHOULD HAVE NOTIFIED ME AND GIVEN ME THE OPPORTUNITY TO HAVE IT REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY. AS A RESULT OF THIS, I WAS CHARGED $621 FOR THE REPAIR. TO REITERATE, THE MAIN ISSUE HERE IS THAT IN AN UNSAFE SITUATION DUE TO, WHAT I PERCEIVE, AS THE FORD DEALER'S NEGLIGENCE.
I GOT A LETTER ON AN IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL, THIS WAS IN JULY I CAME DOWN AN SPOKE WITH MICHAEL AT THE FORD COMPANY ON SAGE RD. IN MEMPHIS TN. I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR HIM TO CAL ME BACK ONCE HE ORDER THE PART #15S21/ NHTSA RECALL 15V-319, IT"S BEEN A MONTH NOW

THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. MY CAR HAS GONE INTO 'LIMP' MODE SEVERAL TIMES OVER THE PAST COUPLE OF DAYS. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER WHO ADVISED ME THAT THE ISSUE IS THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE BODY, AND IT'S NOT COVERED UNDER THE POWERTRAIN WARRANTY. THIS PART HAS BEEN RECALLED FOR SEVERAL OTHER FORD MODEL VEHICLES - BUT NOT THE MUSTANG AND THEY WON'T COVER IT. IT'LL COST ME $570 TO GET THE PART REPLACED IN MY VEHICLE. THIS OCCURS WHILE DRIVING - AT ALL DIFFERENT SPEEDS - INCLUDING GOING 65+ MILES PER HOUR ON THE HIGHWAY.
TAKATA RECALL: RECEIVED A RECALL LETTER FROM FORD MOTOR COMPANY JULY 2015 AND ANOTHER JULY 2016. CONTACTED LOCAL FORD DEALER CONCERNING RECALL 2 MONTHS AGO TO HAVE AIRBAG INFLATOR REPLACED. AS OF THIS DATE (9/2/2016) HAVE RECEIVED NO WORD REGARDING PART'S ARRIVAL (DEALERSHIP ASSURED ME THEY WOULD CALL WHEN PART ARRIVED). PLEASE NOTE THAT IT HAS BEEN OVER 1 YEAR SINCE RECEIVING 1ST RECALL LETTER AND NEARLY 8 WEEKS AND PENDING THAT PART STILL HAS NOT COME IN.

THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO A GUARD RAIL ON THE DRIVER SIDE. THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED THAT ACCUSED THE CONTACT OF CARELESS DRIVING. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED BRUISING ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE RIBS, BUT MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS NOT REQUIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 16,150. UPDATED 10/28/16*LJ THE OUTPUT SPEED SENSOR IN THE TRANSMISSION FROM 70 MPH IN 6TH GEAR TO FIRST AND PUSHED THE CONSUMER DOWN AN INCLINE INTO A GUARD RAIL. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO GET THE VEHICLE TO RESTART, BUT IT STALLED MORE THAN THREE TIMES AFTERWARDS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE THROTTLE BODY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED NO REMEDY. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 58,000.

I GOT A LETTER STATING PARTS ARE IN FOR RECALL 15S21 AND I CALLED DEALER AND SAID PARTS ARE ON BACK ORDER AND WONT BE IN TILL SEPTEMBER
APPARENT TAKATA RECALL, AND I AM HAVING TROUBLE GETTING ANYONE FROM FORD TO HELP ME GET IT DONE. FIRST NOTICE OF ANY SORT RECEIVED IN MAIL FROM FORD ON JUNE 27, 2016. SAFETY RECALL NOTICE 15S21, NHTSA RECALL 15V-319. SAYS IN PART "PARTS ARE NOW AVAILABLE TO REPORT YOUR VEHICLE." AND "PLEASE CALL YOUR DEALER WITHOUT DELAY AND REQUEST A SERVICE DATE FOR RECALL 15S21." ON JUNE 28, I CALLED LINDSAY FORD IN WHEATON MD WHICH SAID IT DID NOT HAVE PARTS AND WOULD NOT KNOW WHEN THEY WOULD. I CALLED KOON'S FORD IN SILVER SPRING MD, WHICH SAID PARTS WOULD NOT BE AVAILABLE UNTIL THE FALL. ON JUNE 30, I CALLED THE FORD CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP CENTER TO FIND OUT WHERE TO GET THIS REPAIRED; AFTER INTERMINABLE WAIT ON THEIR LINE, I FINALLY SPOKE TO A REPRESENTATIVE, WHO FORWARDED ME TO "KEVIN." HE WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE WHEN PARTS WOULD BE AVAILABLE IN MY AREA. I AM CONCERNED THAT FORD HAS NOW SENT ME A LETTER, THE FIRST NOTICE OF ANY ISSUE WITH MY CAR, AND QUITE ALARMING; FORD TOLD ME TO CALL DEALER RIGHT AWAY, WHICH I DID, AND NEITHER OF TWO DEALERS I CALLED NOR THE FORD CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP CENTER CAN SEEM TO HELP.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 FORD MUSTANG. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH, THE WRENCH WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND THE VEHICLE LOST ACCELERATION. THE CONTACT PULLED THE VEHICLE OFF THE ROAD AND TURNED OFF THE ENGINE. ONCE RESTARTED, THE VEHICLE PERFORMED NORMALLY. THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE THROTTLE BODY FAILED AND NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 39,198.

THE DEALER CONFIRMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V348000 (POWER TRAIN). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 80,000.
WHILE DRIVING CAR SUDDENLY LOSES POWER AND SHOWS WRENCH LIGHT AND GOES INTO LIMP MODE. TROUBLE CODES SHOWN P2111 AND P2112. THIS CAN HAPPEN ANY TIME DURING DRIVING AND HAS HAPPENED IN HEAVY TRAFFIC POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS CONSEQUENCES.
2012 FORD MUSTANG. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO DEALERSHIP/ MANUFACTURER/NHTSA FAILURE TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE REPAIRS OF DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG RECALL NOTICE IN A TIMELY MANNER. *SMD THE CONSUMER WAS INFORMED THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. *JB
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE STREET AND WHEN I SHIFTED FROM 1ST TO 2ND THE GEAR SHIFTER GOT HUNG UP AND WOULD NOT SHIFT CAUSING THE CAR TO DOWNSHIFT THROWING ME FOWARD AND HITTING MY HEAD ON THE STEERING WHEEL.
DURING INITIAL ACCELERATION AFTER A LEFT TURN, SHIFTING FROM 1ST INTO 2ND GEAR, THE VEHICLE SHOOK WILDLY AND VIOLENTLY ROCKED SIDE TO SIDE AND LOST POWER. THIS WAS THE SECOND IDENTICAL OCCURRENCE ON CITY STREETS WHILE ACCELERATING OUT OF LEFT TURNS. ON BOTH OCCASIONS, HAD TO MAKE IMMEDIATE MOVES TO THE RIGHT LANE BEFORE POWER WAS RESTORED. BASED ON OTHER REPORTING AND RESEARCH, IT APPEARS TO BE AN ISSUE OF THROTTLE BODY FAILURE. THE VEHICLE HAS 18,500 MILES AND HAS A MT-82 TRANSMISSION.
INTERMITTENTLY, WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED THE VEHICLE WILL GO INTO 'LIMP HOME MODE'. THE 'WRENCH' TROUBLE LIGHT ILLUMINATES ON THE DASH. THE VEHICLE THEN HAS TO BE STOPPED COMPLETELY, PUT INTO PARK AND SHUT OFF. THE VEHICLE THEN STARTS AFTER A FEW EXTRA CRANKS OF THE STARTER AND RUNS NORMALLY. THE 'WRENCH LIGHT IS NO LONGER LIT AND NO ENGINE CODE IS STORED. MY MECHANIC CANNOT TROUBLESHOOT THE PROBLEM BECAUSE NO ENGINE ERROR CODE IS STORED. RESEARCH ON-LINE POINTS TO DEFECTIVE THROTTLE BODY AS THE CULPRIT WITH REPLACEMENT AS THE SOLUTION. FORD SHOULD ADD THE MUSTANG TO ITS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PROGRAM FOR DEFECTIVE THROTTLE BODIES. I UNDERSTAND SOME 1.6 MILLION VEHICLES ARE ALREADY ON THIS LIST. THE PROBLEM BEGAN FOR ME ABOUT A YEAR AGO AROUND THE 18K MILE MARK AND THE VEHICLE NOW HAS ABOUT 22K MILES ON IT, IS METICULOUSLY MAINTAINED AND CARED FOR. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS DEFECT THAT WE, AS OWNERS, COULD AT LEAST ADDRESS PROPERLY IF THERE WAS AN ENGINE ERROR CODE REPORTED. I AM GOING TO HAVE THE THROTTLE BODY REPLACED AT MY OWN EXPENSE BASED ON WHAT OTHERS HAVE REPORTED, SINCE THERE IS NO KNOWN FIX FROM FORD. I DID REPORT THIS TO FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE TODAY 04/23/2016. THEY CONFIRMED THEY ARE UNAWARE OF ANY PROBLEM WITH MUSTANG THROTTLE BODIES. I RECOMMEND THAT FORD PUT SOME ENGINEERS ON THIS AND REMEDY THE PROBLEM. IN THE MEANTIME, WE MUSTANG OWNERS WITH CARS OUT OF WARRANTY ARE HAVING TO FEND FOR OURSELVES.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 FORD MUSTANG. WHILE THE GEAR SHIFTER WAS SHIFTED INTO THE NEUTRAL POSITION, THE FRONT DRIVER SEAT WAS LIFTED AND COLLIDED WITH THE PARKING BRAKE. AS A RESULT, THE PARKING BRAKE WAS DISENGAGED, THE VEHICLE ROLLED AWAY IN THE FORWARD DIRECTION, AND CRASHED INTO A FENCE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 86,000.
I CALLED THE SAFERCAR.GOV PHONE NUMBER REGARDING THE STATUS OF MY CAR'S TAKATA AIRBAG RECALL SINCE IT HAS BEEN ALMOST A YEAR SINCE I RECEIVED A LETTER STATING MY CAR IS INDEED AFFECTED BY THE RECALL. I WAS TOLD TO CALL THE MANUFACTURER OF MY CAR AT 1-800-392-3673. FOLLOWING THE PROMPTS, I WAS WAITING ON HOLD UNTIL MY TURN CAME UP BUT WAS EVENTUALLY CUT OFF; I HAVE CALLED MULTIPLE TIMES ENCOUNTERING THE SAME ISSUE. I AM FRUSTRATED AS TO THE TIME IT IS TAKING TO REPLACE THESE AIRBAGS WITH RECENTLY ANOTHER LIFE LOST TO FAULTY AIRBAGS. PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO ENSURE THESE AIRBAGS ARE REPLACED QUICKLY!!!

TAKATA RECALL. MY 2012 FORD MUSTANG WAS ISSUED A RECALL FOR FAULTY AIRBAGS ON 5-27-2015. THE RECALL STATUS ON 4-8-2016 IS STILL "RECALL INCOMPLETE. REMEDY NOT YET AVAILABLE." I FIND THIS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. I SAW ON THE NEWS THAT THERE WAS ANOTHER DEATH CAUSED BY THESE EXPLODING TAKATA AIRBAGS. HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE TO DIE BEFORE NHTSA TAKES THIS SERIOUSLY AND MAKES FORD AND OTHER AFFECTED MANUFACTURERS START REPLACING THESE AIRBAGS? I FEEL COMPLETELY UNSAFE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE.

WE GOT A LETTER IN JULY 2015 STATING CAR NEEDED ATTENTION AND WE WOULD BE NOTIFIED WHEN PARTS WERE IN AND REPAIRS COULD BE DONE. I KNOW A MAZDA OWNER WHOSE CAR HAS BEEN CALLED IN 3 TIMES FOR THIS WORK. YET FORD ONLY SAYS THEY DON'T HAVE PARTS. WHY NOT DISARM THE AIR BAD AS AN INTRIM STEP, IF NOTHING ELSE. WHILE ACCELERATING TO GET ON THE FREEWAY, THE TRANSMISSION BEGAN TO SLIP AND THE CAR BEGAN TO JERK, THEN THE TRANSMISSION LOCKED INTO 3RD GEAR, AND WOULD NOT SHIFT OUT OF 3RD GEAR UNTIL THE VEHICLE WAS COMPLETELY STOPPED, AND THE ENGINE TURNED COMPLETELY OFF. THIS IS AN INTERMITTENT PROBLEM, BUT AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS ONE WHEN IT OCCURS. THE FORD DEALERSHIP SAYS I NEED A RECALL NOTICE BEFORE THEY CAN FIX IT. I'M OUT OF WORK AND DON'T HAVE THE FUNDS TO REPLACE OR REPAIR THE VEHICLE. RIGHT NOW, WE ARE DRIVING IT AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE.

MY 2012 FORD MUSTANG HAS RUNAWAY CORROSION AROUND THE UNDERSIDE OF THE HOOD. THIS CORROSION WILL AFFECT THE HOOD CRUMPLE AREAS IN A CRASH.

MY VEHICLE CONSTANTLY GOES INTO LIMP HOME MODE WHILE DRIVING. TURNS OFF ALL CYLINDERS EXCEPT 1 WHICH LET'S YOU DRIVE ABOUT 5MPH. ALSO WHILE MY VEHICLE IS AT IDLE IT BEGINS TO LOOSE PROPER IDLE RPM AND NEARLY STALLS UNTIL REVS BACK TO A HIGHER RPM. AFTER SOME RESEARCH I FOUND THAT THE ISSUE IS THOUGHT TO BE THE THROTTLE BODY AND THROTTLE BODY SENSOR. CURRENTLY MYMY VEHICLE IS AT THE DEALERSHIP GOING THROUGH SOME VEHICLE DIAGNOSTICS TO FIGURE OUT THE EXACT PROBLEM. THEY TOLD ME IT IS NOT COVERED UNDER THE VEHICLE WARRANTY AND I AM BEING CHARGED $145.00 FOR THE INITIAL INSPECTION AND THEN CHARGED BY THE HOUR TO FIX THE PROBLEM, I NOT INCLUDING PARTS. MY VEHICLE ONLY HAS 59,000 MILES ON IT AND IT'S ALREADY FAILING. IT APPEARS THAT NUMEROUS PEOPLE ARE HAVE THIS ISSUE AND FORD HAS YET TO RECALL AFFECTED VEHICLES.
I HAVE A 2012 MUSTANG GT WITH 6 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION. I BOUGHT THE CAR AS A CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED CAR AT ABOUT 2,500 MILES. THE CAR AT THAT POINT HAD A DEALER RE-BUILT TRANSMISSION AND MY UNDERSTANDING IS THAT IT HAS 2ND THROUGH 6TH GEAR REPLACED DUE TO A MANUFACTURERS DEFECT. SINCE THAT TIME I'VE HAD MULTIPLE TRANSMISSION ISSUES AND THE CAR NOW HAS ABOUT 49,000 MILES. IN EARLY JANUARY, IT BECAME ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO SHIFT THE CAR INTO 1ST GEAR. IT WAS VERY STIFF AND TOOK A LOT OF FORCE TO GET IT INTO 1ST. SHIFTING TO 2ND GEAR RESULTED IN A GEAR-MASHING SOUND. 3RD GEAR SOUNDED LIKE A LOUD CLUNK. 4TH THROUGH 6TH GEARS WERE FINE. THESE INCIDENTS BECAME WORSE AND ALMOST CAUSED ME TO HAVE 2 DIFFERENT ACCIDENTS BY NOT BEING ABLE TO SHIFT GEARS IN TRAFFIC. I TOOK THE CAR TO A FORD DEALERSHIP IN THE NORTH ATLANTA, GA AREA AND THEY LOOKED AT THE CAR. THEIR TRANSMISSION TECH BELIEVED IT WAS AN ISSUE WITH THE SYNCHRONIZERS. THE TECH DID NOT BELIEVE HE HAD THE EXPERTISE TO WORK ON THIS ISSUE AND REFERRED ME TO ANOTHER FORD DEALERSHIP. ON 1/14/16 I TOOK THE CAR TO THE 2ND DEALERSHIP AND THEIR TECH AGREED IT WAS THE SYNCHRONIZERS. THAT DEALERSHIP TOOK ABOUT 1 WEEK TO COMPLETE THE REPAIRS. AFTER THE REPAIRS, THE ISSUE WAS NOT SOLVED; LOUD SOUNDS WERE COMING OUT OF THE REAR OF THE CAR. OVER THE PAST 2 WEEKS, THEY'VE ORDERED NUMEROUS REPLACEMENT PARTS. AS OF TODAY, 2/9/16, THERE ARE PARTS THAT ARE NOT AVAILABLE AND ARE ON NATIONAL BACK ORDER. THE ETA FOR THE PARTS IS NOW 2/24/16. I'VE READ ABOUT SIMILAR ISSUES OTHER MUSTANG OWNERS WITH THIS SPECIFIC 6 SPEED TRANSMISSION HAVE HAD AND PERSONALLY CAN SAY IT IS A MAJOR SAFETY WARNING FOR THE DRIVER. THESE CARS SHOULD BE RECALLED AND NEW TRANSMISSIONS INSERTED AS A WHOLE UNIT VS. INSTALLING MULTIPLE PARTS. I ALSO BELIEVE THAT THIS ISSUE WILL CAUSE ME TO EXPERIENCE DIMINISHED VALUE AT RESALE.

TAKATA RECALL - IN EARLY NOVEMBER 2015 I WAS DRIVING MY 2012 FORD MUSTANG WHEN I EXPERIENCED A MINOR FENDER BENDER, LESS THAT 10 MPH. SURPRISINGLY, THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED CAUSING MY PASSENGER, A YOUNG BOY WITH A STOMACH BAG AND OTHER ILLNESSES TO HAVE TO GET CHECKED IN THE HOSPITAL. THANK GOD HE WAS NOT INJURED BUT HE WAS VERY SHAKEN UP FOR MANY DAYS BECAUSE OF HIS AUTISM. THE CAR WAS TOWED TO BODYART COLLISION CENTER ((908-789-0330) TO REPLACE THE AIRBAGS, WHICH THEY HAVE DONE. HOWEVER, THREE MONTHS LATER MY CAR IS STILL SITTING THERE BECAUSE, ALTHOUGH THEY WERE ABLE TO INSTALL THE PROPER AIRBAGS, FORD HAS NOT YET BEEN ABLE TO GET APPROVAL FOR A NEWLY DESIGNED REPLACEMENT DASHBOARD. SEVERAL MECHANICS HAVE CALLED TO FIND AFTER MARKET DASHBOARD BUT NO ONE HAS THEM. FORD HAS ALSO STOPPED MANUFACTURING THEM, MOST LIKELY BECAUSE OF THE AIRBAG RECALL. MY MECHANIC, MYSELF, MY MOTHER AND ANYONE ELSE I CAN FIND HAS CALLED FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE (HEATHER 866-631-3788, EXT. 7-7790, CASE NO. CAS8338404) AND THEIR RESPONSE IS "WE HAVE NO ADDITIONAL INFORMATION TO GIVE YOU." NOW THEY NO LONGER RETURN CALLS. WE EVEN SENT AN EMAIL TO THE CEO BUT HAVE NOT EVEN RECEIVED AN ACKNOWLEDGEMENT. IN THE MEANTIME, I HAVE NO CAR, CANNOT AFFORD TO BUY ONE, AND AM LIVING WITH MY MOTHER SO THAT I CAN USE HER CAR FOR ERRANDS, EVEN THOUGH I NOW HAVE TO TRAVEL 40 MINUTES TO GET TO WORK. I PAY $1500+ MONTHLY RENT AND I CANT EVEN LIVE IN MY APARTMENT. THE FRUSTRATION IS OVERWHELMING. I ASK FOR ANY RELIEF FROM FORD -- HELP WITH RENTING A CAR, A REPLACEMENT CAR UNTIL THEY THE GOVERNMENT (I ASSUME NHTCA) APPROVES THE NEW DASHBOARD, EVEN A RESPONSE THAT HAS A LITTLE MORE MEAT THAN THE STANDARD RHETORIC FROM THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE.
THERE IS A RECALL ON AIRBAGS AND MY 2 LOCAL DEALERS ARE NOT CAPABLE TO MAKE THE REPAIRS OF THIS VERY DANGEROUS CONDITION. THE DEALERS ARE STATING THAT FORD HAS FAILED TO SUPPLY THE SAFE AIRBAG CORRECTION WHICH MAKES FORD'S NEGLIGENCE ABOUT CARING FOR THE CONSUMERS A QUESTIONABLE SITUATION. TO FORD,.. PASSENGER AIRBAG STILL HAS NOT BEEN REPLACED. IT WAS RECALLED SOMETIME AGO, AND I HAVE NOT BEEN NOTIFIED OF A DATE IT WILL BE FIXED.
