MY CAR HAS APPROXIMATELY 31000 MILES ON IT. I"M THE SECOND OWNER OF THIS VEHICLE. 18 DAYS AGO ANTIFREEZE WAS ON MY GARAGE FLOOR. MY MECHANIC COME OVER AND EXPLAINED TO ME THAT MY WATER PUMP HAD GONE BAD. SO I TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY TOLD ME THAT IT WAS STILL WAS UNDER POWER TRAIN WARRANTY. THEY DIAGNOSED MY CAR AND VERIFIED THAT IT WAS INDEED THE WATER PUMP AND THAT THERE WAS ANOTHER PERSON THAT WAS WAITING AHEAD OF ME FOR THE SAME THING 30 DAYS. I CALLED OTHER DEALERSHIPS AND THEY TOO WERE OUT OF WATER PUMPS. MY CONCERN IS THAT I WILL HAVE TO KEEP BUYING ANTI FREEZE EVERY OTHER DAY AND I CANNOT AFFORD THIS. THIS DEALER SHIP TOLD ME THAT THEY DID NOT HAVE A LOANER VEHICLE FOR ME. PLEASE HELP. THANK YOU. *TR
THIS RECALL HAS BEEN IN FORCE FOR MONTHS AND NOBODY SEEMS TO BE DOING ANYTHING TO FIX THESE CARS. I AM AFRAID EVERY TIME I DRIVE MY CAR AND I AM ANGRY THAT FORD IS NOT ACTING ON THIS. I WANT TO BE AS SAFE AS I CAN IN MY CAR! NO ACCIDENT, BUT I FEAR ONE.
WRENCH LIGHT COMES ON, FOLLOWED BY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. CAR GOES INTO FAIL SAFE MODE, DOWN TO ABOUT 2 MPH; RPMS FLUCTUATE DRAMATICALLY. HAPPENS ON THE HIGHWAY, AND DURING NORMAL STREET DRIVING. SEEMS TO BE IN THE THROTTLE, THE SAME THING AS IN THE RECALLED FORD FOCUS THROTTLE PLATE ACTUATOR.
MY CAR WOULD DIE WHILE DRIVING. IT WAS VERY DANGEROUS IN HEAVY TRAFFIC AND WOULD HAVE TO TURN THE CAR OFF AND BACK ON JUST TO CRAWL INTO A PARKING LOT, SO I HAD IT TOWED AND THE COMPUTERIZED ENGINE DIAGNOSTICS AT THE NAPA AUTO CARE CENTER SHOWED A MALFUNCTION OF THE THROTTLE BODY.THIS REPAIR COST ME $726.32
I WAS DRIVING IN THE EXPRESSWAY AT 60 MPH WHEN SUDDENLY MY CAR LOST POWER ON THE ACCELERATION. A WRENCH TOOL APPEAR AND THE DASHBOARD ON THE RPM CLOCK ... AT THAT MOMENT THE CAR DESACCELERATE ALMOST TO 30 MPH AND I WAS UNABLE TO GAIN SPEED. I WENT TO A SIDE OF THE ROAD, TURN IT OFF AND RESTARTED THE CAR. EVERYTHING APPEAR TO BE NORMAL BUT THE FIRST THING I DID WAS GO TO THE DEALER. THEY RUN A TEST ON IT AND TOLD ME THAT THE PROBLEM WAS RELATED TO THE ELECTEIC THROTTLE BODY. I DONT UNDERSTAND HOW IS POSSIBLE TO HAPPEND SOMETHING LIKE THAT WHEN MY CAR BARELY HAS 4 YEARS. THERE IS NO WARRANTY ON OT AND THE REPAIR FOR IT IS REALLY EXPENSIVE.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME TO THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.
THERE IS NO REASON FOR FORD NOT TO COVER THIS REPAIR/REPLACEMENT OF MY HOOD. THE PAINT IS LIFTING OFF OF THE HOOD DUE TO CORROSION UNDER THE PAINT BY MANUFACTURER DEFECT ON THE ASSEMBLY LINE.
ONE MORNING I STARTED UP THE MUSTANG IN THE GARAGE AND THE STEERING WHEEL DIDN'T WORK. I COULDN'T TURN IT IN EITHER DIRECTION. AND THE SERVICE ADVANCE TRAC LIGHT WAS ON. THANK GOODNESS THIS DIDN'T HAPPEN WHILE I WAS DRIVING. LATER ON, THE STEERING WHEEL DID WORK AND THE SERVICE ADVANCE TRAC LIGHT WAS OFF. BUT I DIDN'T WANT TO DRIVE IT SO I TOOK IT TO A FORD DEALERSHIP. THEIR DIAGNOSIS WAS THAT THE ELECTRONIC STEERING RACK HAD TO BE REPLACED (INTERNALLY FAILED EPAS STEERING RACK, CODE = U3000:49) FOR A COST OF $1,800. THE CAR WAS PURCHASED NEW AND ONLY 3 YEARS OLD AT THE TIME THIS HAPPENED.
HAS BEEN 60 DAYS SINCE RECALL REPORTED AND NO REMEDY HAS BEEN PROVIDED. CALLS TO DEALER AND FORD MOTOR COMPANY BRING NO RESOLUTION OR COMMITMENT TO RESOLVE. SPOKE TO A DEALER ABOUT TRADING IN AND THEY DID NOT WANT THE CAR UNTIL THE RECALL WAS FIXED. AT THE 60 DAY MARK, NO RESOLUTION HAS BEEN REACHED. WHAT RECOURSE DO I HAVE WITH FORD TO MAKE THE REPAIRS.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 FORD MUSTANG. WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE LOST POWER. IN ADDITION, THE GEAR SHIFTER WAS DIFFICULT TO SHIFT INTO VARIOUS POSITIONS. THE FAILURE RECURRED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MULTIPLE DEALERS WHO WERE UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE OR REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000.
WHILE DRIVING EXPRESSWAY SPEEDS IN THE CENTER LANE OF A BUSY EXPRESSWAY THE VEHICLE ABRUPTLY WENT INTO LIMP MODE AND LOSS OF ALL ACCELERATION. HAD TO COAST TO GET TO RIGHT HAND LANE/SHOULDER. TOOK CAR TO DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID THE THROTTLE BODY HAD TO BE REPLACED. AS A SIDE NOTE, I HAD THE FUEL INJECTORS AND THROTTLE BODY CLEANED JUST OVER A YEAR AGO. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THE MUSTANG IS NOT COVERED UNDER FORD'S "CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PROGRAM" THAT IS BEING OFFERED FOR FAULTY THROTTLE BODIES IN OTHER MODELS AS THE UNSAFE SYMPTOMS AND RESULTS WERE IDENTICAL, I.E. CAR DRIVING HIGHWAY SPEEDS ABRUPTLY GOES INTO LIMP MODE AND LOSS OF ALL ACCELERATION.
I WAS ACCELERATING WHEN SUDDENLY THERE WAS NO MORE POWER, THE "WRENCH" LIGHT CAME ON. I WAS ABLE TO GET TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. TURNED OFF THE ENGINE AND RESTARTED THE ENGINE. THE PROBLEM THEN WENT AWAY HOWEVER REOCCURRED ABOUT SIX TIMES SINCE WITH THE SAME SYMPTOMS. I HAD A MECHANIC RUN A DIAGNOSTIC TEST WHICH REVEALED A FAULTY THROTTLE BODY. FORD DEALER HAS NOT AGREED TO REPLACE, DID SAY THAT THEY WOULD MATCH ANY LOWER PRICE FOR THE PART SO THAT THERE WOULD BE A 2 YEAR FORD WARRANTY. SINCE THERE ARE SEVEN OTHER COMPLAINTS ON THIS CAR AND IT IS A SERIOUS SAFETY HAZARD, IT SEEMS LIKE THEY SHOULD REPLACE THE PART.
I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT 70 MPH WHEN THE CAR JUST SATLLED OUT. I HAD TO STEER TO THE RIGHT LAND AND COAST TO THE SHOULDER. I THEN TURNED THE CAR OFF....NO WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON. AFTER A COUPLE OF MINUTES IT RESTARTED. I WAS TOLD AT THE DEALERSHIP IT AS A THROTTLE BODY THAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED.
I RECEIVED A SAFETY RECALL FOR MY FORD MUSTANG 2012 STATING THERE IS AN AIRBAG DEFECT. I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE THE CAR THOUGH IT HAS LESS THAN 7000 MILES BECAUSE OF THE NUMBER OF INJURIES OF DEATHS ASSOCIATED WITH THE TAKATA AIRBAG.
I AM WRITING THIS BECAUSE IT IS RELATED TO SAFETY ISSUE AND FORD DOES NOT REPLY PROPERLY TO MY QUESTIONS. I AM ASKING IF MY 2012 MUSTANG STEERING MAKING LOUD NOISE CONSTANTLY DURING TURNING, IS IT POSSIBLE TO BE DRIVEN OR HAVE TO BE PARKED. IS IT POSSIBLE THAT STEERING WILL BE STUCK OR NOT WITH THE CURRENT ISSUE? IF THE STEERING IS STUCK DURING OPERATING, TERRIBLE ACCIDENT WILL BE HAPPEN. FORDS SHOULD HAVE A GOOD ADVICE ON THIS PROBLEM SINCE THEY MAKE THE CAR. I PAID THE DEALERSHIP $120 TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM THAT THEY ALREADY KNOW. IN ADDITION, THEY CHARGE $1800 TO REPLACE THE STEERING UNIT. IT IS TOO MUCH FOR A CAR WITH 48,000 MILES. FORD RECALLS THE STEERING UNIT ON 2015 FORD MUSTANG, WHY NOT 2012 MODEL? APPARENTLY, SO MANY STEERING PROBLEMS WITH MUSTANG IN EARLY STATE, AND THEY ARE NOT CHEAP TO REPAIR.

I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE IN JULY 2014. I HAVE CONTACTED FORD DEALERSHIP THREE TIMES. THE PARTS ARE STILL NOT AVAILABLE AND NO TEMPORARY FIX IS AVAILABLE. MY CAR IS DANGEROUS TO DRIVE UNTIL IT IS FIXED. ACTION NEEDS TO BE TAKEN. WHAT CAN YOU DO TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN?
FAILURE OF THE THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY. THE VEHICLE WENT INTO THE "LIMP HOME MODE" SIMILAR TO THE RECALL OF FORD ESCAPES AND OTHERS WITH SAME V-6 ENGINE ASSEMBLY.

WHILE ENTERING THE FREEWAY IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC, MY CAR WENT INTO "LIMP MODE", THE WRENCH LIGHT CAME ON AS DID THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. I HAD TO PULL OVER ON THE SHOULDER OF THE FREEWAY, TURN THE ENGINE OFF AND RESTART IT. THIS HAS HAPPENED A COUPLE OF TIMES IN THE PAST COUPLE OF DAYS- MOSTLY WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY. IT IS VERY SCARY TO BE DRIVING ON A HOUSTON FREEWAY, HAVE THIS HAPPEN AND NEED TO SAFELY MANEUVER A VEHICLE TO THE SHOULDER OF THE FREEWAY, OFTEN CROSSING SEVERAL LANES OF TRAFFIC WHEN VEHICLES ARE MOVING AT 40-55 MPH AND I HAVE NO ABILITY TO ACCELERATE. I HAVE ALSO HAD TO STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FREEWAY TO RESTART MY CAR BECAUSE I WAS NOT ABLE TO SAFELY CHANGE LANES. IT WAS A TERRIFYING EXPERIENCE AND I WAS AFRAID I WOULD BE RE-ENDED BY MOTORIST DRIVING AT POSTED SPEEDS. WHEN RESEARCHING THIS ISSUE, ALONG WITH THE MARINER'S, ESCAPES, FOCUS ETC, I HAVE FOUND THAT MANY FORD MUSTANGS HAVE THIS SAME PROBLEM. GIVEN THAT THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS CONDITION, THE COST INVOLVED IN REPLACING THE THROTTLE BODY, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, FORD'S LONG HISTORY OF VEHICLES WITH DEFECTIVE THROTTLE BODIES, I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY THE 2012 MUSTANG OR ANY OTHER FORD PRODUCT WITH THIS ISSUE ARE NOT AUTOMATICALLY ELIGIBLE FOR THE "CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PROGRAM" WHICH FIXES THE PROBLEM. I DO NOT TRUST THIS CAR AND NO LONGER FEEL SAFE IN IT.

I RECEIVED A SAFETY RECALL LETTER FROM FORD MOTOR CO. IN JULY 2015. IT STATES THAT THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG INFLATOR HOUSING MAY RUPTURE AND DEPLOY ABNORMALLY. IF THIS HAPPENS IT CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH. I CONTACTED FORD'S CUSTOMER SERVICE IN DECEMBER AND THEY STATED THAT IT WOULD BE FIXED IN 2016. I CONTACTED THEM IN FEBRUARY AND THEY STILL DON'T HAVE THE PARTS? THE RECALL NOTICE 152S21/NHTSA RECALL 15V-319. I DON'T FEEL COMFORTABLE DRIVING MY CAR. IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I CAN DO TO GET THIS TAKEN CARE OF? THANKS.

DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE WRENCH LIGHT COME ON AND CAR WENT INTO LIMP MODE. IT HAS HAPPENED 3 TIMES SINCE. ONCE GOING DOWN A 4 LANE HIGHWAY IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC AND CAR JUST STALLS. I HAD TO GET OVER IN FAR LANE AND GET OFF ROAD AS CARS WERE FLYING UP ON ME AND AROUND ME.

THE VEHICLE HAS GONE INTO LIMP MODE SEVERAL TIMES. THE WRENCH SYMBOL ON THE DASH COMES ON AND THE VEHICLE MUST BE SHUT OFF AND RESTARTED. I AM TOLD THE THROTTLE BODY MUST BE REPLACED. WHY IS THERE A CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PROGRAM FOR THE ESCAPE AND OTHER MODELS BUT NOT THE 2012 MUSTANG. I OWN A 2012 FORD ESCAPE ALSO AND HAVE NOT EXPERIENCED THE PROBLEM WITH THAT VEHICLE. ONLY EXPERIENCE IT WITH A SAME YEAR VEHICLE THAT IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE PROGRAM. THE VEHICLE IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE WHEN IT SHUTS DOWN AT 45+ MPH.

THEY TOLD ME THE DIRECTOR OF THE NHTSA IS TELLING PEOPLE TO GO AHEAD AND DRIVE THESE CARS. I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THE PARTS FOR MONTHS AND DON'T WANT TO DRIVE MY CAR UNTIL THE PARTS ARE AVAILABLE. WHY IS FORD BEING ALLOWED TO GET BY WITH THIS. THEY SHOUDL EITHER FIX OUR CARS OR BUY THEM BACK FROM US. 9 DEATHS AND 136 SERIOUS INJURIES IS TERRIFYING. BRAND NEW 2012 MUSTANG DOES NOT HAVE A SCREEN THAT PREVENTS DEBRIS (LEAVES, BUGS, ETC) FROM GOING DOWN THE A/C INTAKE. WHEN THE DEBRIS CLOGS UP THE A/C WATER DRAIN IT WILL BACK UP AND GET INTO A JUNCTION BOX AND CORRODE PLUGS THAT ARE DIRECTLY CONNECTED TO THE ABS, ADV TRAC CONTROL ETC,. THIS DISABLES OR TRICKS THE ABS SYST A SAFETY FEATURE THAT CONTROLS YOUR BRAKES. FOR EXAMPLE IF YOU ARE GOING DOWN THE INTERSTATE AT 75 MPH AND APPLY THE BRAKES HARD THE ABS SYST IS DISABLED OR THINKS ONE BRAKE IS LOCKED UP AND THE CAR JUMPS ALL OVER THE PLACE, LOSE CONTROL OF THE CAR AND WRECK OR KILL SOMEONE IN THE PROCESS.....ALL BECAUSE A MAJOR MANUFACTURE DID NOT PLACE SIMPLE DOOR SCREEN OVER THE INTAKE TO KEEP DEBRIS OUT OF THE A/C INTAKE AND CLOG A HOLE.....

I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM FORD MOTOR COMPANY DATED JULY 2015, ALMOST 8 MONTHS AGO INFORMING ME OF SAFETY RECALL NOTICE 15S21. THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS RECALL THAT DETAILS THE POSSIBILITY OF A ABNORMALLY DEPLOYING DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG WHICH CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURIES OR DEATH. I JUST SPOKE TO FORD (IT IS 23 FEBRUARY 2016 AT THE TIME OF THIS WRITING) AND THEY INDICATED THAT THEY STILL DO NOT HAVE THE PARTS NECESSARY TO REPAIR THIS VERY SERIOUS DEFECT IN THE DRIVERS SIDE AIRBAG. THERE RESPONSE WAS THAT THEY WERE STILL WORKING WITH THE SUPPLIER FOR THE PARTS. THAT IS EXTREMELY UNACCEPTABLE, GIVEN THE EXTREMELY DANGEROUS NATURE OF THIS MALFUNCTION. I REQUEST THAT NHTSA CONTACT FORD AND PRESSURE THEM TO ACCELERATE THEIR EFFORTS IN ACQUIRING THE NECESSARY PARTS TO REPAIR THIS ISSUE. NHTSA SHOULD FINE FORD FOR THEIR INACTION IN THIS MATTER.
