I WAS WORKING WITH SOMEONE TO GET REIMBURSED FOR THIS. HIS NAME WAS DONTE KIRKSEY. I HAVE ALL EMAILS . I HAD A FAILED PART THAT MADE MY CAR COMPLETEY STOP WHILE I WAS DRIVING. TBEY REALIZED IT WAS FORDS FAULT WAS SUPPOSE TO REIMBURSE US 700. AND STILL HAVENT HEARD BACK
POSITIVE BATTERY TERMINAL CONNECTION CORRODES AT AN INCREDIBLY HIGH RATE. CONNECTIONS ARE POORLY ENGINEERED AND BREAK AWAY CAUSING LOSS OF POWER. BECAUSE OF POOR CONNECTION THE ALTERNATOR WILL NOT SUFFICIENTLY CHARGE BATTER. THIS COULD LEAD TO LOSS OF POWER STEERING AND BRAKES WHILE DRIVING. IF YOU SEARCH ONLINE THERE ARE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS.
THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE BODY READS THAT THE ACTUATOR IS STUCK OPEN. THIS CAUSES MY CAR TO STALL IN UNPREDICTABLE AND UNSAFE SCENARIOS. MY CAR WILL STILL MOVE WHEN THIS HAPPENS BUT ONLY AT REALLY LOW SPEEDS. ONE TIME THE CAR SLOWED DOWN AND WOULD NOT LET ME GO ABOVE TWENTY MILES PER HOUR AND I WAS ON THE EXPRESSWAY WITH A SPEED LIMIT OF 65 MILES PER HOUR. IT DOES IT OUT OF NOWHERE AND IS PUTTING ME IN THE POSITION TO GET REAR-ENDED. I HAVE TO NOW PAY 300 TO BUY A NEW PIECE TO RESOLVE THIS PROBLEM WHEN IN FACT THIS VEHICLE SHOULD HAVE BEEN RECALLED LIKE THE FORD ESCAPE AND THE FORD FUSION BECAUSE IT IS THE EXACT SAME ISSUE. THIS ISSUE HAS MY LIFE AND MY CHILDREN'S LIVES ON THE LINE EVERY TIME WE GET IN THIS CAR. THIS ISSUE HAPPENS ANYWHERE. IT HAPPENS FREQUENTLY ON CITY STREETS WHERE I WOULD BE GOING 30 MILES PER HOUR AND IT REDUCES MY SPEED TO LIKE TEN MILES PER HOUR AND WONT LET ME ACCELERATE. I HAVE TO SHUT THE ENGINE OFF AND RESTART THE CAR. I HAVE HAD TO PULL OVER INTO PARKING LANES AND GAS STATIONS IN ORDER TO GET OUT OF TRAFFIC FLOW TO SAFELY SHUT MY ENGINE OFF AND RESTART THE CAR. IT HAS DONE THIS TWICE ON THE EXPRESSWAY WHERE IT REDUCED MY SPEED FROM 65 TO 40 MPH AND CONTINUED TO DECREASE IN SPEED. ONE OF THOSE TIMES I WAS NOT BY A SHOULDER AT ALL AND THERE WAS VERY HEAVY TRAFFIC FLOW. I FINALLY WAS ABLE TO PULL INTO THE YELLOW LINES WHERE CARS ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE THAT ARE BETWEEN THE LANES WHERE YOU MERGE FROM ONE EXPRESSWAY TO ANOTHER. AND THAT TIME I WAS A SITTING DUCK BETWEEN LANES OF TRAFFIC WITH MY EMERGENCIES ON BECAUSE I WASNT ABLE TO SHUT THE CAR OFF RIGHT AWAY DUE TO MY LANE PLACEMENT ON THE EXPRESSWAY. SO THE CAR WAS SHAKING.

IN ADDITION, THE VEHICLE WOULD SOMETIMES NOT START. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL PUMP WAS FAULTY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000.

WHILE DRIVING SUDDEN LOSING ACCELATION. I HAD ABOUT 7 TIMES IN HIGHWAY TO PULLED OFF WITH OUT REAR COLLISION. ABOUT 3 TIMES IN LOCAL DRIVE. EACH TIME PULLED OFF AND TURN ENGINE OFF WITH RESTART THAN ENGINE LIGHT AND CODE DISAPPEAR AND DRIVING NORMAL.
MY FIRST EXPERIENCE WITH THIS PROBLEM WAS DRIVING 40 MPH ON A LOCAL STREET, VERY BUSY, LOTS OF TRAFFIC. THE ENGINE SPUTTERED MADE A WEIRD NOSE, LOST POWER TOTALLY, I WAS BARELY ABLE TO GET INTO A PARKING LOT OUT OF THE WAY. VERY SCARY, SINCE I HAD NO IDEA WHAT WAS HAPPENING. THE WRENCH INDICATOR LIGHT CAME ONE. I HAD THE CAR TOWED TO THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP. THE LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP "UPDATED" THE SOFTWARE BEFORE CHECKING FOR THE DEFAULT CODE THAT WOULD SHOW. THEY SAID THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG AND SENT ME ON MY WAY. THEN IT HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES AGAIN BOTH ON A MAJOR THOROUGHFARE AND ON THE HIGHWAY. ANOTHER INSTANCE WAS WHILE DRIVING AT 70 MPH ON THE FREEWAY IN TRAFFIC THE ENGINE STALLS LEAVING ME WITH NO POWER TO CONTROL MY SPEED. AS MY CAR QUICKLY REDUCES SPEED ON A MAJOR FREEWAY I ATTEMPT TO GET OVER TO THE SHOULDER OUT OF HARMS WAY. FORD CALLS THIS NON LIFE THREATENING BECAUSE THE CAR IS STILL CONTROLLABLE TO GET OUT OF HARM'S WAY. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THEM, REALLY. VERY DANGEROUS. CAR IS AT THE DEALERSHIP NOW AND SAID IT WOULD BE AT LEAST 3 WEEKS TO GET THE PART. WHICH HAS LEFT ME STRANDED WITHOUT A DEPENDABLE VEHICLE TO DRIVE TO WORK. FORD NEEDS TO GET IT TOGETHER.

VEHICLE HAS 48,000 MILES AND HAD FREEZER PLUG AND WATER PUMP FAILURE. FORD WAS BACKORDERED BY OVER 300 UNITS OF WATER PUMP. VEHICLE WAS IN HAWAII FOR FIRST YEAR AND IN SEATTLE / TACOMA AREA SINCE. I FEEL THAT AT THIS MILEAGE, ALONG WITH THE AMOUNT OF WATER PUMPS THAT WERE ON ORDER FROM FORD MOTOR THAT THEIR IS A DEFECT WITH THE WATER PUMPS AND A RECALL SHOULD BE LOOKED INTO
THE VEHICLE HAS THE 3.5L NON-TURBO ENGINE, HAS ABOUT 35,000MI, WAS PURCHASED AS A CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED VEHICLE, AND IS FULLY STOCK (HAS NOT BEEN MODIFIED IN ANY MANNER. WHEN AT LOW SPEEDS (LESS THAN 20MPH MOST OF THE TIME) AND CERTAINLY LESS THAN 40MPH) AND ALSO AFTER MAKING A SLIGHT TURN (NOT A FORCEFUL ONE) AFTER HAVING INITIALLY APPLIED PRIOR TO THE TURN AND THEN RELEASED THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL DURING THE TURN FOLLOWED WITH A RE-APPLICATION OF THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL, THE VEHICLE LOSES POWER AND THE RPMS WERE NOTICED TO LOCK IN THE 1200-1500RPM RANGE. THE SAME PHENOMENON OCCURRED IN A 2012 2.5L 4CYL ESCAPE THAT I HAD PURCHASED AND THEN HAD TO RETURN BECAUSE THIS SAME PHENOMENON OCCURRED BUT TO A MUCH GREATER EXTENT AND THE FORD DEALERSHIP COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE CONDITION.THIS LACK OF ACCELERATION AT ONE TIME PLACED ME IN A DANGEROUS SITUATION. ETB WAS REPLACED BUT NOT THE ROOT CAUSE. 5 OTHER 2012-2013 FORDS WITH 4CYL AND 3.5L NON-TURBO V-6 ALL HAD THE SAME DRIVABILITY. OTHER PEOPLE WHO HAD EXPERIENCED THAT SAME ISSUE. THIS IS EASY TO DUPLICATE. I PULLED OUT TO PASS SOMEONE AT ABOUT 20MPH AND THE RPMS LOCKED @1200. THE VEHICLE WOULD ONLY STAY AT ABOUT THE SAME SPEED. IN THIS CASE IT WAS A DANGEROUS SITUATION BECAUSE I COULD NOT GET THE VEHICLE TO ACCELERATE AND TRAFFIC FROM BEHIND ME WAS COMING UP AT A DANGEROUS (FOR ME) RATE OF CLOSURE. I BELIEVE THAT FORD HAS TO BE AWARE OF THIS CONDITION AND HAS NOT CHOSEN TO REMEDY IT. WHEN THIS LACK OF ACCELERATION OCCURS, IT ALWAYS OCCURS AFTER A LATERAL MOTION OF THE VEHICLE. SOME PEOPLE SAY IT IS DUE TO THE SHIFT ALGORITHM BECAUSE IT SOMETIMES OCCURS JUST PRIOR TO A SHIFTING ACTION; BUT, THIS IS TRULY NOT THE CASE. THINK STABILITY CONTROL INTERFACE. THIS CANNOT BE DISABLED IN MY VEHICLE WITHOUT DISABLING OTHER SYSTEMS SO IT CANNOT BE PROVEN OUT BY ME WITHOUT SETTING CODES OR COMPROMISING THE VEHICLE. PLS SEE ATT FILE.

DRIVER SIDE DOOR MIRROR APPEARS TO BE FADING IN COLOR, POSSIBLY LOSING POLARIZATION, SEEMS LIKE THAT PART OF THE MIRROR IS DEFECTIVE, IT GETS EXTREMELY HOT, TURNING BROWN AND CAN BE A DRIVING HAZARD IF THE ISSUE IS NOT CORRECTED.
I HAVE 2013 FORD TAURUS AT SAM GALLOWAY FORD IN FORT MYERS FLORIDA, THEY CALLED ME AND SAID MY E.T.B ELECTRONIC THROTTLE BODY NEEDS TO BE REPAIRED/REPLACED AND IT WILL COST $750 OUT THE DOOR. I STARTED DOING SOME RESEARCH FOR CHEAPER COST AND I CAME ACROSS OTHER FORDS WITH THIS SAME PROBLEM THAT WAS RECALLED, MADE A FEW CALLS TO FORD AND THEY SAID MY VIN NUMBER DOESN'T QUALIFY MY CAR FOR THAT RECALL. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS PROBLEM, THE CAR WILL LOSE THROTTLE IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC. THIS SEEMS TO ME A ISSUE AND PROBLEM WITH A NUMBER OF FORDS VEHICLES AND JUST BECAUSE MINE DOESN'T FALL UNDER THE VIN, IT'S STILL A FORD AND THE ETB IS A PROBLEM FOR FORD VEHICLES. THERE WAS AN ACCIDENT OUR FORD TAURUS HIT A TREE CAUSING TREE TO COME OUT IF THE GROUND AND AROUND $13,000 WORTH OF DAMAGES AND NO AIRBAG WENT OFF HIT AT 12 FRO T IMPACT. FIGHTING FORD MOTOR TO HAVE THEM TEST THE BLACK BOX FOR INFORMATION AND POSSIBLE DEFECT BEFORE I DRIVE IT AFTER ITS FIXED.

THE CAR DOES NOT TURN ON WHEN TURNED OFF WITH NO WARNING. THE CAR HAS HAD A FUEL MODULATOR AND OVER 5 RELAY SWITCHES REPLACED IN LESS THAN A YEAR. THE DEALER IS REPLACING THE SWITCH WITHOUT DIAGNOSING THE ISSUE BEHIND THE SWITCH FAILING. IT HAS LEFT ME STRANDED 3 TIMES SINCE LAST THURSDAY. IT IS NOT BEHIND ON ANY SERVICE AND I TAKE IT TO A FORD DEALER TO BE REPAIRED. I THINK EMKAY NEEDS TO REVIEW THE REPAIRS ON THIS CAR AND ASK THE DEALER TO DIAGNOSIS THE CAUSE OF THESE FAILURES. 2013 FORD TAURUS 67000 MILES.

I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT ABOUT 65 MPH AND MY CAR JERKED, MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LIGHT CAME ON AND MY CAR BEGAN TO DECELERATE, THE GAS PEDAL DID NOT WORK, AND THE CAR BEGAN TO ROUGH IDLE. TOOK MY CAR TO FORD DEALER: THEY WERE ABLE TO REPRODUCE ISSUE, READ DIAGNOSTIC CODE P2111, AND ATTEMPTED TO FIX THE ISSUE BY PERFORMING MAINTENANCE TO THE CONNECTOR. I WAS ADVISED THAT IF THIS DID NOT CORRECT THE ISSUE THAT THE THROTTLE BODY MIGHT NEED TO BE REPLACED. I DROVE THE CAR FOR 1/2 DAY AND IT REPEATED THE SAME ISSUE AS ABOVE ONLY THIS TIME AT 40 MPH ON THE STREET, BUT THIS TIME I HAD TO STOP AND START THE CAR TWO TIMES IN A ROW TO GET PAST THE ROUGH IDLE. I HAVE A 2011 FORD FUSION WHERE THE IDENTICAL SCENARIO OCCURRED AND THE SAME FORD DEALER COVERED THE REPAIR UNDER EXTENDED WARRANTY UNDER NHTSA ACTION NUMBER : PE13003. I FILED A CLAIM WITH CORPORATE FORD AND THEY WOULD NOT COVER MY CAR. ON 8/1/15, MY SON, MY FATHER, AND I WERE HEADING BACK FROM VACATION. MY FATHER WAS DRIVING WHEN HE WENT TO ACCELERATE; WE HEARD A "POP" FROM THE ENGINE. MY SON STATED THAT HE SMELT SMOKE. MY FATHER AND I HADN'T AT THAT TIME. NOT EVEN A MINUTE LATER, THE DASHBOARD FLASHED A "SERVICE SOON" AND TO CHECK MANUAL. BEFORE I COULD THUMB THRU THE MANUAL, MY FATHER STATED THAT WE HAD LOST POWER. HE WAS COASTING OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WHEN WE BOTH SMELLED SMOKE. SHORTLY AFTER THAT, WE SAW SMOKE AND FIRE FROM THE DRIVERS SIDE HOOD. BEFORE HE HAD THE CAR STOPPED, SMOKE AND FLAMES WERE ROLLING OUT. WE WERE ABLE TO GET EVERYTHING OUT OF THE VEHICLE BUT THE CAR WAS A TOTAL LOSS. I CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP ALONG WITH FORD MOTOR COMPANY REGARDING THIS ISSUE. MY CAR HAD LESS THAN 33K MILES. IT WAS STILL UNDER FACTORY WARRANTY; HECK I EVEN BOUGHT THE EXTENDED WARRANTY. THE DEALERSHIP AND FORD MOTOR COMPANY AREN'T TAKING RESPONSIBILITY AT THIS TIME.
THIS IS A POLICE INTERCEPTOR VEHICLE. WHEN ATTEMPTING TO GO FROM REVERSE TO DRIVE WHILE THE VEHICLE IS STILL IN REVERSE MOTION[APPROX. 5 MPH] AS SOON AS IT IS PUT IN DRIVE, THE ENGINE STALLS. I RESPONDED TO A RECALLL NOTICE AND TOOK MY CAR FOR AN INSPECTION BACK IN JUNE. FORD DOES NOT HAVE THE PARTS FOR THE REPAIR AND THEY ARE ON BACK ORDER STILL TODAY (AUGUST 14TH). DEALER INDICATED THAT THEY'VE WAITED AS LONG AS FOUR MONTHS FOR THE PARTS. FOR THIS SAFETY RECALL (15S02 /NHTSA 15V-040) WHERE THE DOORS COULD POSSIBLY POP OPEN IN A COLLISION THIS SEEMS TOO SLOW OF A RESPONSE TIME. DEALER ISN'T THE PROBLEM... WHILE DRIVING ON A 6 LANE ROAD AT 40 MPH, THE ENGINE JUST SHUT OFF. A YELLOW WRENCH LIGHT APPEARED ON MY DASH. WITH MY FLASHERS ON, I MANAGED TO COAST OVER TO THE SHOULDER OF THE ROAD, AND THEN RESTARTED THE CAR. THE WRENCH LIGHT DISAPPEARED. I DROVE IMMEDIATELY TO THE FORD DEALERSHIP SERVICE CENTER, AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY COULD "NOT DUPLICATE" THE ISSUE AS NO CODES WERE ACTIVATED BY THE CAR'S COMPUTER. ONE SERVICE PERSON THOUGHT IT COULD PERHAPS BE RELATED TO AN ELECTRONIC THROTTLE BODY ISSUE THAT OTHER FORD MODELS HAD. HOWEVER, I WAS TOLD THAT IF IT HAPPENS AGAIN TO BRING IT BACK. THIS IS AN ON GOING ISSUES THE DESIGN OF THE HALOGEN HEADLIGHT LAMP SYSTEM ON THIS CAR DOES NOT GIVE OUT ENOUGH LIGHT. MY LIGHTS ONLY FOCUS IN ONE SPOT WITH LIGHT AND EVERYTHING ELSE IS DARK. WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE STREET THE STEERING WHEEL ON THE CAR LOCKED UP AND WOULDN'T TURN. THE CAR GAVE A "SERVICE POWER STEERING" AND " STEERING ASSIST DEFAULT" AT THE TIME OF THE WHEEL LOCKING UP.
