SERVICE AIR BAGS LIGHT CAME ON. OCCASIONALLY SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT COMES ON AND TRACTION CONTROL TURNS OFF AND BACK ON WHILE DRIVING WHEN TRACTION CONTROL RETURNS WARNING LIGHT DISAPPEARS. SERVICE AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON WHILE DRIVING AND HAS NOT CAME OFF. ALL OF THE ABOVE HAPPENED ON A HIGHWAY GOING NO FASTER THAN 55MPH DRY CONDITIONS. VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT WHILE OWNED BY CURRENT OWNER.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 GMC ACADIA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNDISCLOSED SPEED, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE RESIDENCE. WILKINS BUICK-GMC 6913 RITCHIE HWY, GLEN BURNIE, MD 21061, 410 999-1419, WAS CONTACTED AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 142,000.
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AND THE STABILITRAK TURNED ITSELF OFF AND A WARNING LIGHT CAME ON SAYING IT WAS OFF AND TO SERVICE IT. I TRIED TO PUSH THE BUTTON AND IT DID NOTHING AND THEN IT CLEARED ITSELF AND TURNED BACK ON WITHOUT ANY PROMPT AND WHEN SLOWING DOWN AND PRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL THE STEERING WHEEL VIBRATES AND THE WHOLE RIGHT SIDE OF THE CAR SHAKES.
I'VE HAD MY GMC ACADIA FOR ABOUT 4 YEARS NOW. I INITIALLY (WITHIN 30 DAYS OF PURCHASE) HAD ISSUES WITH THE WINDOW MOTOR BECAUSE MY WINDOWS WEREN'T GOING UP WHEN PRESSING THE BUTTONS ON EITHER SIDE UP FRONT. CARMAX FIXED THE ISSUE. WELL, I'M STILL HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM TODAY EXCEPT THE PASSENGER SIDE BUTTON WORKS OCCASIONALLY TO ROLL UP THE FRONT WINDOW. THE DRIVER SIDE BUTTON WORKS FINE FOR THE DRIVER SIDE WINDOW AND BOTH OF THE REAR WINDOWS. IT DOESN'T WORK TO ROLL UP THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW. THIS HAPPENS WHETHER MY VEHICLE IS PARKED OR IN MOTION.
BOUGHT FIRESTONE ALL SEASON TIRES DOT V60M AL1 . TIRES WORN DOWN VERY VERY QUICKLY ALL THE WAY ACROSS IN LESS THAN 5K MILES. VEHICLE ALIGNMENT HAD PREVIOUSLY BEEN DONE A FEW MONTHS PRIOR. DEALER TRIED TO CLAIM IT WAS ALIGNMENT , ALIGNMENT SHOP SAID IT WAS A TIRE ISSUE. I BELIEVE THE TIRES RUBBER HAS A PROBLEM WITH THE COMPOUND FORMULA. FIRESTONE REFUSES TO COVER THE TIRES. SAID THAT EXTREMELY FAST TREADWEAR ISN'T COVERED. IMAGINE THAT! PAID $657.00 FOR A SET OF TIRES THAT WITHIN 5 MONTHS NEED REPLACING . HAD MY WIFE GOT INTO AN ACCIDENT AND BEEN INJURED OR KILLED. I WOULD OF MADE ANOTHER EXAMPLE OUT OF FIRESTONE LIKE WHAT WAS DONE IN THE 90S WHEN FORD EXPLORERS WERE TURNING INTO CRASH DERBY CARS DUE TO DEFECTIVE TIRES MADE BY THIS COMPANY FOR ODDLY A COMPARITIVELY SIZED VEHICLE.
STABILITY TRACK WARNING LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON I WAS TOLD BY MY MECHANIC THAT IT COULD BE THE SENSOR SO I HAD IT REPLACED WITH A FACTORY BRAND GMC SENSOR AND I'M STILL HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. ALSO MY PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG KEEPS SAYING IT NEEDS TO BE SERVICED BUT IT'S NEVER BEEN DEPLOYED AND NO ONE HAS AN ANSWER FOR WHY THIS WARNING KEEPS COMING UP THE STABILITY TRACK WARNING COMES ON AS I'M DRIVING EVERY TIME AFTER ABOUT 10 TO 15 MINUTES AND THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG WARNING COMES ON AS SOON AS I START THE VEHICLE ENGINE. AND ALSO I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH CODE P0700 IT KEEPS TURNING ON MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND I HAD IT FIXED BUT IT STILL KEEPS TURNING ON .

THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT AN OBD CODE READER DISCOVERED THAT THE PASSENGER AIR BAGS WERE DEFECTIVE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE CONTACT ASSOCIATED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 14V118000 (AIR BAGS) AND 10V240000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) WITH THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 156,000.

MY CAR HAS BEEN LEAKING INSIDE DUE TO MANUFACTURER DEFECT WITH THE SEAL OF THE WINDSHIELD AND IN TOP AND CAUSING ELECTRICAL ISSUES FOR CAR ONE EXAMPLE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE AND ETC

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO SCHUMACHER BUICK GMC OF NORTH PALM BEACH (561-282-1957, LOCATED AT 3720 NORTHLAKE BLVD STE C, LAKE PARK, FL 33403) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE SENSOR IN THE SEAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 85,000.
MY LIFT GATE DOOR FELL AND HIT ME IN THE HEAD OUT OF NO WHERE AND MY CAR IS NOT ON THE LIST FOR THE RECALL FOR THAT EXACT PROBLEM. MY AIRBAG INDICATOR GOES OFF ALL THE TIME EVEN IF NO ONE IS IN THE FRONT SEAT. MY SPEEDOMETER BARELY WORKS, IT GOES COMPLETELY AROUND AND I CAN'T GET IT TO RESET. I TOOK IT TO THE SHOP JUST TO BE TOLD IT'S A SENSOR THAT CAUSES IT ALONG WITH THE SLOW CRANKING BUT THEY DIDN'T KNOW WHICH ONE IT WAS BECAUSE MY CAR HAS 4.

THE CONTACT HAD TO RELEASE THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL TO RELEASE THE GEAR OUT OF FOURTH GEAR. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 187,000.

I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE USED ABOUT 4 MONTHS AGO. ON 8-15-19, I ACTIVATED THE ON STAR AND WAS TOLD ABOUT A RECALL FOR THE AIR BAG AND THE SEAT BELT TENSIONER. I CONTACTED A LOCAL DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THAT THE RECALL HAD BEEN CLOSED. CAN THEY ACTUALLY REFUSE TO "FIX" THIS?

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO J & J MOTOR SALES (6524 LAKE MICHIGAN DR, ALLENDALE, MI 49401, (616) 895-5184), BUT THEY COULD NOT FIND ANY LEAKS OR DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT ALSO CHECKED ON HER OWN, BUT COULD NOT FIND THE SOURCE OF THE LEAK. RECENTLY, THE CONTACT STATED THAT WATER WAS COLLECTING UNDERNEATH WHERE THE BLOWER FAN WAS LOCATED ON THE PASSENGER SIDE, WHICH CAUSED IT TO SHORT OUT. THE CONTACT WAS ALMOST INVOLVED IN A CRASH BECAUSE THE WINDSHIELD WOULD NOT DEFROST IN THE MORNING. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 176,000.

I WAS STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT AT 6 MILE AND RYAN RD DETROIT MI VEHICLE JUST CUT OFF. AFTER THREE OR FOUR TRIES IT FINALLY STARTED AND I HAD MY DAUGTHER TO FOLLOW ME HOME AND PARK IT. I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE IT NOW. THIS HAPPEN 7/10/19 IN AM. TRACTION LIGHT WAS READING OFF
THE SUNROOF LEAKS IN THE FRONT DRIVER SEAT, PASSENGER, AND WATER COMES OUT OF THE AIR VENTS IN THE BACK SEAT AS WELL AS THE DVD PLAYER AND AIR BAGS. THE BATTERY WILL NOT HOLD A CHARGE AND NOW WITH A NEW BATTERY THE CAR STALLS WHEN TRYING TO START IT. THE CAR WAS PARKED IN MY DRIVEWAY. THE WATER LEAK HAPPENED IN DECEMBER 2018.
TAKATA RECALL IT KEEPS SHUTTING COMPLETELY DOWN IN THE MIDDLE OF HIGHWAY AND THIS AFFECTS EVERYTHING STEERING, COMPLETE LOSS OF POWER TO VEHICLE. NO CODES TO INDICATE SOMETHING IS WRONG !!!! EXTREMELY DANGEROUS THIS HAS CONTINUED TO OCCUR EVEN AFTER PARTS HAVE BEEN REPLACED BRAND NEW. MORE THAN 5 TIMES ALREADY. THIS WILL MOST CERTAINLY LEAD TO DEATH. I HAVE 3 CHILDREN WITH ME AT ALL TIMES. THAT'S 4 LIVES THAT COULD BE LOST BECAUSE OF THIS PROBLEM!!!! . THE PART NEEDED TO BE ORDERED FROM OUT OF STATE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 158,000.
THE AIR BAG LIGHT IS ON NOW AND IN THE DASH IS SAYING CHECK YOUR AIRBAG SERVICE NO ISSUES BEFORE
THE TIMING CHAIN BROKE WHICH IN TURN BROKE THE ENGINE AS WELL. IT HAPPENED AS I WAS EXITING THE HIGHWAY, IT JUST STALLED AND WOULD NOT START AGAIN.

WORSE PROBLEM IS THE GEAR SHIFTER, WHEN IS COOL IT WILL SHIFT BUT AFTER I AM DRIVING IT I CANT HARDLY GET IT TO CHANGE GEARS OR GO INTO PARK. MY LIFT GATE KEEP COMING DOWN WHEN OPEN. ALSO MY
STEERING GETS STIFF INTERMITTENTLY. STEERING GLITCHES (HARD TO TURN) AT TIMES IN THE MIDDLE OF TURNING. HAPPENS IN MOTION TAKING TURNS ON SURFACE STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CHANGING LANES AND TAKING CORNERS. IT HAS NOW HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES.
THE VEHICLE'S AIRBAG READINESS LIGHT WILL ILLUMINATE AND/OR A 'SERVICE AIR BAG' MESSAGE WILL APPEAR IN VEHICLE'S DRIVER INFORMATION CENTER, THE AIRBAG TOGGLES OFF AND ON WHEN I HAVE A FRONT SEAT PASSENGER. I FOUND THE FOLLOWING ON YOUR WEBSITE: 15536 - SPECIAL COVERAGE. CERTAIN 2008 – 2013 BUICK ENCLAVE, 2008-2013 GMC ACADIA, 2008-2010 SATURN OUTLOOK, AND 2009-2013 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE VEHICLES WERE RECALLED TO ADDRESS CORROSION AND/OR LOOSE CRIMPS IN THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER-SEAT MOUNTED SIDE-IMPACT AIRBAG (SIAB) WIRING-HARNESS CONNECTORS, WHICH COULD CAUSE AN INCREASE IN RESISTANCE THAT MAY DISABLE THE SIAB, FRONT-CENTER AIRBAG, IF EQUIPPED, AND SEAT-BELT PRETENSIONERS. I BOUGHT MY 2008 GMC ACADIA AND NOT LONG AFTER THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. IT WAS THE TIMING CHAIN. I HAD THE CHEVY DEALERSHIP REPLACE IT WHICH WAS ALMOST $3000.00. ABOUT A YEAR AND A HALF LATER IT HAS GONE OUT AGAIN. AND I CAN'T AFFORD ANOTHER $3000.00. NOW IT'S JUST SITTING. VERY UP SET ABOUT THIS.
WHEN I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE IN LESS THAN AN HOUR THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, AIRBAG LIGHT , TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR POPPED ON. THE CAR WOULD HAVE A SLOW TAKE OFF AND SHAKE AS YOU ACCELERATE ON THE CITY STREET. WHEN I DRIVE THE FREEWAY THE CAR WILL HESITATE AND TAKE 15 SECONDS BEFORE IT SWITCH GEARS TO CATCH UP TO SPEED AND JERK. THE SERVICE AIRBAG,SERVICE TIRE MONITOR SYSTEM, SERVICE STABILITRAK, SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL ALERT MESSAGES ARE ON THE MESSAGE CONSOLE.

WATER LEAKAGE INSIDE OF MY VEHICLE
I PURCHASED A 2008 GMC ACADIA AND IN THE WINTER THE WIPERS WON'T TURN ON, I LIVE IN EASTERN WASHINGTON WHERE WE GET A LOT OF SNOW AND ICE AND I SEE YOUR RECALL DIDN'T INCLUDE ANY PART OF WA STATE AND I FEEL IT SHOULD INCLUDE EASTERN WA STATE. OUR TEMPS HERE GET BELOW 0 AT TIMES! I NEED MY WIPERS TO WORK ALL THE TIME IN THIS PART OF WA.
THIS IS THE SECOND COMPLAINT I HAVE MADE HAS STILL HAVE NOT HEARD ANYTHING. THIS IS SAD THAT IT HAS NOT BEEN DEALT WITH. I HOPE MY FAMILY IS NOT IN A SERIOUS ACCIDENT BECAUSE OF THIS CAR.
SOMETIMES THE AIRBAG LIGHT DOESN'T SAY IT'S ON WHEN I HAVE PASSENGERS IN THE VEHICLE, IT WILL STILL SAY THEY ARE OFF WHILE I AM DRIVING ANYWHERE.
I JUST RECENTLY PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE AND THE SECOND DAY OF HAVING IT ME AND MY HUSBAND WERE DRIVING HOME AN THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STOPPED TO TURN ONTO ANOTHER ROAD AS WE FINALLY GOT THE STEERING WHEEL TO TURN THE POWER STEERING KICKED IN AN WAS MUCH EASIER TO TURN AGAIN THIS HAPPENED FOR THE REST OF THE DAY AND WAS ONLY HAPPENING WHEN WE WOULD TURN FROM A COMPLETE STOP OR WHEN WE WOULD SLOW DOWN TO STOP. I HAVE HERD THIS WAS IN A GM BULLETIN BUT AM I STILL COVERED UNDER THE BULLETIN WE PURCHASED VEHICLE MARCH 1,2019 AN THE INCIDENT HAPPENED MARCH 2, 2019 WE HAVE OUR CHILDREN WITH US AS WELL AN IF MY HUSBAND HADN'T GRABBED THE WHEEL WITH BOTH HANDS WE WOULD HAVE WENT UNTO ON COMING TRAFFIC. THIS IS NOT SAFE ESPICALLY FOR FAMLIES WITH CHILDREN . PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT WILL BE DONE ABOUT THIS UNSAFE DEFAULT.
MY GIRLFRIEND'S VEHICLE POWER STEERING STIFFENED UP IN A TURN AND THEN CAME BACK DURING THE AND CAUSED HER TO OVER CORRECT AND END UP ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD IF SHE WAS GOING ANY FASTER THE PROBLEM COULD HAVE BEEN WORSE. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON DUE TO JUMPED TIMING 3 DAYS AFTER WE HAD PURCHASED THE VEHICLE FROM A DEALERSHIP AND A LITTLE OVER A YEAR LATER IT HAD JUMPED TIMING AGAIN SO NOW I HAVE TO COME UP WITH 800 TO TEAR DOWN THE MOTOR SO THEY CAN PROPERLY DIAGNOSE IT. SO I DO NOT HAVE THE MONEY FOR THAT SO NOW I AM STUCK WITH A VEHICLE THAT I AM PAYING FOR AND CANNOT DRIVE. IT IS SITTING IN MY DRIVEWAY AS WE SPEAK. THE VEHICLE WAS IN THE DRIVEWAY AND WE WERE GETTING READY TO LEAVE WHEN IT HAPPENED. BOTH TIMES. THE DATES IT HAPPENED WERE 1/5/2018 WITH 137000 MILES ON IT AND THE OTHER DATE WAS 2/5/2019 AND IT HAS 152045 MILES ON IT.
THIS HAS BEEN THE MOST UNSAFE CAR I HAVE EVER OWNED. I CAN NOT EVEN TRADE IT IN THE GET A SAFER CAR. WE HAVE COME SO CLOSE TO HAVING MANY ACCIDENTS WITH THIS CAR. THE STEERING JUST FREEZES UP THE ENGINE WILL JUST SHUT DOWN WILL DRIVING. WE HAVE HAD THE TRANSMISSION REPLACED ONCE AND NOT IT NEEDS REPLACED AGAIN. WE ARE NOT HARD ON OUR CARS..I JUST HOPE IT DOES NOT COME DOWN TO HAVING A ACCIDENT BEFORE SOMEONE SEES HOW BAD THIS CAR IS.. THIS HAPPENS OFF AND ON ALL THE TIME HARD TO PUT THE DATES AND TIMES DOWN WHEN THIS HAPPENS, WE TAKE INTO A DEALER AND IT DOES NOT HAPPEN WITH THEM OR THE COST IS JUST CRAZY.
HEADLIGHTS ARE BURNING UP ABOUT EVERY 2 MONTHS DOES NOT MATTER WHAT SIDE THEY ARE NOT LASTING
THE VEHICLE IS HAVING ISSUES WITH TRANSMISSION, THERE IS A RECALL ON OTHER VEHICLES OF THE SAME MAKE AND MODEL IN A LARGE RANGE OF YEARS. THE RECALL IS A TRANSMISSION SOLENOID. HOWEVER BECAUSE UNDER THE VIN NUMBER IT DOES NOT SHOW THERE IS A RECALL THIS WILL NOT BE FIXED FREE BY DEALERSHIP. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS BECAUSE IT HAPPENS RANDOMLY WHILE DRIVING.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 GMC ACADIA. WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH, THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE CAM SHAFT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT WAS ALSO INFORMED BY ANOTHER INDEPENDENT MECHANIC THAT THE ENTIRE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 142,293.
MY TRACTION CONTROL AND SERVICE STABILITRAK LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON. NOW MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND SAYS CAMSHAFT SENSOR. I TOOK TO A MECHANIC AND THEY SAID THAT I NEED A NEW MOTOR.
TRANSMISSION FAILURE AT 85,000 MILES. AT HIGHWAY SPEED THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY RACES THE MOTOR AND SUDDENLY SLOWS TO ABOUT 30 MPH, RISK OF REAR END CRASH. THE DEALER THINKS ITS THE '' 35R WAVE PLATE''. THIS WAS REPORTED TO THE DEALER WHEN IT WAS IN FOR THE STEERING PUMP RECALL [ AFTER IT LED TO A CRASH]' THERE WAS A GM EXTENDED WARRANTY ON THE TRANSMISSION AT THAT TIME AS THEN KNEW IT WAS A PROBLEM. THEY SAID THAT TIME THAT THEY '' COULDN'T REPLICATE THE TRANSMISSION PROBLEM IT '' AT A SINGLE TEST DRIVE. NOW THAT IT HAS COMPLETELY FAILED THEY SAY THE EXTENDED WARRANTY HAS EXPIRED TIME WISE AND THEY WILL NOT REPAIR IT. DESPITE KNOWING IT IS A SAFETY PROBLEM FREQ. WHILE ACCELERATING I'VE NOTICED MY VEHICLE HAS SOME TYPE OF WAVE PLATE ISSUE BUT IT SEEMS COMMON FOR THESE VEHICLES. IT JERKS AND SHAKES AND IT'S NOT SAFE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 GMC ACADIA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SUN ROOF WAS LEAKING WATER DOWN THE A PILLAR ABOVE THE BODY CONTROL MODULE MAIN FUSE BLOCK. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE RECURRED FIVE TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO GANDRUD CHEVROLET (3792, 919 AUTO PLAZA DR, GREEN BAY, WI 54302, (920) 309-5444) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THERE WAS AN ELECTRICAL SHORT. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DETERMINED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE WATER TRAVELED DOWN TO THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR BULKHEAD PLUG AND CAUSED THE SHORTAGE THROUGHOUT THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT WAS A CERTIFIED MECHANIC WHO REPLACED THE BODY CONTROL MODULE FIVE TIMES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED A CASE NUMBER. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 150,000.
ON 4 SEPARATE OCCASIONS WITHIN A 3 WEEK PERIOD THE VEHICLE WOULD ACCELERATE WHILE DRIVING WITHOUT DRIVER PROMPTS OR CONTROL (RPMS REVVED FROM 2000 TO OVER 6000 AND SPEED WOULD INCREASE FROM 50 MPH TO OVER 85 MPH WITH ACCELERATOR PEGGED TO THE FLOOR.) THE ONLY WAY TO CORRECT THIS WAS TO PUT THE VEHICLE IN NEUTRAL, COAST TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, STOP THE VEHICLE AND TURN OFF THE ENGINE FOR 10-15 MINUTES, THEN RESTART IT AND IT WOULD RUN NORMALLY FOR SHORT PERIODS OF TIME. IF I DROVE THE VEHICLE FOR MORE THAN 30 MINUTES AT A TIME IT WOULD REACT THIS WAY EVERY TIME AND NEARLY CAUSED ME TO HIT 2 VEHICLES ON THE INTERSTATE. ON ONE OCCASION I HAD TO IMPACT A GUARDRAIL TO SLOW THE VEHICLE DOWN. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A CERTIFIED GMC DEALERSHIP WHO STATED ON BOTH OCCASIONS THEY COULD NOT REPEAT THE PROBLEM AFTER DRIVING IT FOR 5-10 MINUTES OR LESS THAN 15 MILES. WHEN I INFORMED THEM THAT IT ONLY OCCURRED AFTER 30-45 MINUTES OF DRIVING, THE TECHNICIAN STATED HE DIDN'T HAVE TIME TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE THAT LENGTH OF TIME OR DISTANCE AND WENT ON TO SAY NO DIAGNOSTIC CODES WERE TRIPPED SO THERE WASN'T ANY REPAIRS HE COULD DO OR THAT GMC WOULD AUTHORIZED. THE VEHICLE WAS UNDER WARRANTY. I RESEARCHED THIS PROBLEM ONLINE AT WWW.CARCOMPLAINTS.COM AND FOUND OVER 25 SIMILAR ISSUES AND COMPLAINTS FROM OTHER OWNERS OF THE SAME YEAR MAKE AND MODEL. TWO OF WHICH RESULTED IN A CRASH WITH SERIOUS INJURIES TO THE OCCUPANTS. I WAS FORCED TO SELL THIS VEHICLE AT A 2554.00 LOSS AND WILL NOW BE FILING A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT AGAINST GMC AND THE SERVICE DEALERSHIP I DEALT WITH AFTER I COMPILE THE REQUIRED EVIDENCE FROM THE OTHER 25 OWNERS WITH THE SAME PROBLEMS. I FIND IT HARD TO BELIEVE THAT YOU WOULD ALLOW THIS TO CONTINUE KNOWING FULL WELL INJURIES HAD BEEN REPORTED TO NHTSA IN PREVIOUS COMPLAINTS. I MAY INCLUDE NHTSA IN MY CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT IF MY ATTORNEYS THINK IT TO BE A GOOD IDEA.
THE AIR BAG SENSOR/MODULE IN THE PASSENGER SEAT WOULD WORK INTERMITTENTLY WITH THE PASSENGER IN THE SEAT FOR ABOUT 3 WEEKS, BUT IS NON-FUNCTIONAL NOW (DOES NOT DETECT THE PRESENCE OF AN OCCUPANT IN THE PASSENGER SEAT) RESULTING IN THE PASSENGER AIR BAG BEING DISABLED AT ALL TIMES. I HAVE GOTTEN ESTIMATES FROM 3 DIFFERENT PLACES RANGING FROM $800-$1200.00 TO CORRECT. THIS ISSUE HAS NOW MADE OUR VEHICLE COMPLETELY UNSAFE FOR MY FAMILY TO DRIVE AND RIDE IN!!!!
THIS VEHICLE WILL ALL OF A SUDDEN START SWAYING FROM SIDE TO SIDE AND THE STABILITRAK LIGHT WILL COME ON. IN ADDITION, THE TRANSMISSION WILL SUDDENLY SEIZE UP, LOSING ACCELERATION AND NEARLY CAUSING A CRASH. THE ENGINE WILL ALSO STATE THAT IT IS OVERHEATING, ALL OF A SUDDEN AND THE VEHICLE WILL SHUT ITSELF OFF AND SMOKE WILL START COMING FROM THE ENGINE. THIS HAS HAPPENED WHILE GOING BETWEEN 35 AND 65 MPH. ON THE STREETS AND HIGHWAYS. MY CHILDREN IN THE BUCKET SEATS IN THE BACK WERE SLEEP AND THEIR HEADS HIT THE WINDOW. THEY SUSTAINED INJURY. THAT WAS ON A REGULAR STREET AND THE SPEED LIMIT WAS 35 MPH. I WAS WITHIN OR SLIGHTLY UNDER THE SPEED LIMIT WHEN THE VEHICLE STARTED SWAYING UNEXPECTEDLY. WHEN THE ROAD IS WET, IT WILL SWAY FROM SIDE TO SIDE ON SIMPLE CURVES IN THE ROAD. I HAVE HAD THE TRANSMISSION REPLACED TWICE. DUE TO THE SAFETY CONCERNS AND FEAR OF MY FAMILY BEING FATALLY INJURED, IT WAS AROUND CHRISTMAS TIME. I HAVE HAD TO PARK THE VEHICLE. I HAVE CONTACTED GMC BY PHONE SEVERAL TIMES WITH NO RESPONSE IN RETURN. I SPOKE WITH SOMEONE AND WAS INFORMED TO REPORT IT TO NHTSA. MAYBE SOMETHING CAN BE DONE ABOUT THIS BEFORE A DEATH OCCURS.
