The contact owns a 2005 GMC Sierra 3500. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle failed to come to a stop while the brake pedal was depressed. The contact stated that the brake pedal felt loose. The ABS warning light was illuminated. The contact was able to bring the vehicle to a complete stop and the contact became aware of a brake fluid leak coming from under the hood, and that both front and rear brake lines were rusted. An appointment with the dealer was scheduled to inspect the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 85,000.
The brakes , air bag, wheel hubs, lights, alignment, power steering. brakes coming to a stop instantly stops the vehicle. Air bag light comes on. Wheels hubs towed in from top. Light switch will not turn light off when driving. Alignment, steering wheel goes everywhere. Front tire getting wore out . Power steering leaking oil.

My srs air bag light was first intermediate now it stays on all the time I am so in fear of my life while driving my 2005 GMC Sierra sle ext-cab my truck is now 16 years old and this safty light recently came on I purchased a srs scanner and it shows (OPEN FRONTAL LOOP) I NEED ANY RECALL INFORMATION FOR I CAN GET IT REPAIRED
STARTED MY TRUCK AND THE FAILURE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM CAME ACROSS I PUSHED IN THE BOTTON THAT CHANGES IT AND CAME BACK ON THEN IT SAID TIGHTEN FUEL CAP WASHER FLUID LOW I HIT THE BUTTON AGAIN IT WENT OF BUT BATTERY LIGHT STAYED ON AND GAUGE READ ABOUT 10 VOLTS.MY TRUCK RAN FINE AND STARTED WHEN I GOT TO MY FIRST THEN AT THE SECOND STOP IT SAID THE SAME , I PUT IN REVERSE BACKED OUT PUT IT DRIVE AND THE CLUSTER QUICK WORKING THE AC QUIT YOU COULD ROLL THE WINDOWS DOWN NOR DID THE LOCKS WORK AND IT DID NOT ANY POWER WHEN PUSHED DOWN THE GAS PED2 TO COME UP A HILL IT FELT LIKE IT SHIFTED WHEN YOU LET OFF THE PEDAL YOU COULD FEEL JERK, GO HOME TURNED IT AND WOULD NOT START OR MAKE ANY SOUND NOT EVEN THE CLICKING ON THE STARTER, SO I LEFT HOME AND CAME BACK ABOUT 4 HOURS LATER AND IT STARTED BUT THE VOLT READ ABOUT 10 VOLTS. I HAD THE BATTERY TESTED AND IT TEST GOOD. THIS WAS ON SEPTEMBER 9, 2020 I HAVE PUT THE BATTERY BACK IN YET.
1). Dash light stays on constantly and reads SERVICE AIR BAG. This was checked out at an auto repair shop. If air bag doesn't respond, it could be fatal. 2). Check engine light is always on. Was checked out at an auto repair shop and repaired on 10/19/2021. 3). Right engine exhaust manifold is cracked and leaking exhaust. Was checked out at a muffler repair shop. In time I'm afraid fumes my leak into the truck cab. 4). A brake line ruptured and was repaired on 09/02/2020.
PASSENGER HEADLIGHT WILL NOT TURN ON. BOTH LOWBEAM AND HIGH BEAM DON?T TURN ON. BULB IS IN WORKING CONDITION, FUSES ARE NOT BLOWN, CAN?T SEEM TO FIND A SOLUTION. THIS MAKES THE VEHICLE VERY DANGEROUS WITH NO RIGHT SIDE VISIBILITY. UNKNOWN REASON BEHIND THE PROBLEM. *TR
MY TRUCK HAS HAD THE ODOMETER ROLLED BACK ACORDING TO THE CARFAX REPORT. I BOUGHT THIS TRUCK ABOUT 2 YEARS AGO AND WAS UNAWARE OF THE UNTIL TODAY WHEN I TRIED TO TRADE IT IN AND THE SALESMAN MADE ME AWARE OF THIS
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 GMC SIERRA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED AND TURNED OFF THE FOG LAMPS ACTIVATED INDEPENDENTLY. WHILE INSPECTING THE VEHICLE IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE DRIVER SIDE DASHBOARD HAD MELTED AND A BURNING ODOR WAS PRESENT INSIDE THE CABIN OF THE VEHICLE. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT YET DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER AND LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 160,000.
THE PASSIVE ALARM SYSTEM IS MALFUNCTIONING APROX EVERY 10 CRANKS. WHEN THIS HAPPENS YOU ARE STUCK FOR AT LEAST A HOUR BEFORE IT WILL START. DEALERSHIP CAN NOT FIND THE PROBLEM AND A COMPLAINT WAS MADE TO GMC COMPLAINT DEPARTMENT I HAVE CHANGED NUMEROUS PARTS M SWITCHES AND BOXES ,

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 GMC SIERRA 2500. THE CONTACT STATED HE REPLACED ALL THE BRAKE LINES ON THE VEHICLE AND ALSO STATED THAT THE BODY FRAME OF THE VEHICLE WAS CORRODED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENCE MECHANIC WHERE ALL THE CORRODED BRAKE LINES WERE REPLACE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 61,000.
POWER STEERING WENT OUT WHILE ENTERING (TURNING LEFT INTO) PARKING LOT, TOWED TO SHOP. SHOP FOUND BROKE/DEFECTIVE CONNECTION TO STEERING BOX AND LEAKING FLUID. REPLACED FITTING AND TUBING, FLUSHED SYSTEM, AND REPLACED FLUID.
A CAR DROVE THROUGH AN INTERSECTION IN FRONT OF ME AS I WAS DRIVING ON A CITY STREET, MARCH 3, 2018. I HIT THE BRAKES AND TURNED AWAY FROM THE VEHICLE. MY BRAKES FAILED, BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR AS I WAS STOPPING. BRAKE LINE NEAR LH FR.T WHEEL BUSTED AND BRAKE FLUID SHOT OUT. LUCKY I TURNED AWAY AS I WAS BRAKING THAT I MISSED THE OTHER VEHICLE. THE OTHER VEHICLE ALSO TURNED AWAY FROM ME AND THEN DROVE AWAY.
CHARGING SYSTEM FAILURE MESSAGE KEEPS COMING UP ON VEHICLE...REPLACED ALTERNATOR THREE WEEKS AGO AND IT SEEMS TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM...FOR A WHILE AT LEAST...TWO NIGHTS AGO TRUCK DIED...REPLACED BATTERY WITH A BRAND NEW ONE YESTERDAY AND TRUCK IS STILL SITTING ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AS BATTERY IS NOT GETTING CHARGE FROM ALTERNATOR.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REAR SUSPENSION, FRONT SUSPENSION, AND STARTER SUPPORT SHOWED EXCESSIVE RUST. ADDITIONALLY, THE SHOCK TOWER, SUPPORTS, TRANSMISSION BOLTS, FOUR WHEEL DRIVE ACTUATOR, AND HARDWARE ALSO SHOWED EXCESSIVE RUST. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE HORN ALSO FAILED TO OPERATE INTERMITTENTLY. BECKLEY AUTO MALL (3934 ROBERT C BYRD DR, BECKLEY, WV 25801, (304) 252-3300) STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL ASSOCIATED WITH THE VIN. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED FOR SEVERAL FAILURES; HOWEVER, THE RUST ISSUE WAS NOT ADDRESSED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. I DROVE UP TO A STOP LIGHT AND PUSHED THE BRAKES AS USUAL. A BRAKE LINE BURST AND I COASTED THRU THE STOP LIGHT. I USED MY EMERGENCY BRAKE TO STOP. I THINK ALL BRAKE LINES SHOULD BE MADE FROM STAINLESS STEEL UP HERE IN WISCONSIN. THIS DEFINITELY IS A SAFETY ISSUE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 GMC SIERRA 1500. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH IN THE RAIN, THE CONTACT SWITCHED LANES ON A CURVED ROAD AND THE VEHICLE STARTED TO SKID. THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF CONTROL. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO A GUARDRAIL AND THEN A MEDIAN. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED NECK INJURIES THAT DID NOT REQUIRE MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN AUTO COLLISION CENTER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.
BREAK LINE RUSTED AND BROKE ALMOST RESULTING IN AN ACCIDENT WHEN TRYING TO STOP BRAKE PETAL WENT TO FLOOR
Instrument panel stops working from time to time. My Guages go crazy. My rpm and speedometer mess up and can't tell how fast I'm going. This has been going on for a few years now. My airbag sensor light is on and was In a light wreck few months ago. Hit pretty hard on front end of truck and yet neither one of my airbags deployed.
I HAVE HAD THE BRAKES GO OUT 3 DIFFERENT TIMES ON ME IN THE LAST YEAR. THERE ARE NO SIGNS OF PROBLEMS AND YOU STEP ON THE BRAKES AND A LINE BLOWS. YOU HAVE NO BRAKES PEDDLE GOES TO THE FLOOR AND LITTLE TO NO STOPPING. ONE TIME I WAS COMING DOWN A DIRT ROAD TO A STOP SIGN AND STEPPED ON THE BRAKES AND A LINE BLEW AND THE ABS KICKED IN BECAUSE OF THE DIRT ROAD AND I COULD NOT STOP AND WENT RIGHT THROUGH A INTERSECTION. THEY USED CHEAP LINES, AND NOW PEOPLE IN THE NE WHERE SALT IS USED ARE HAVING PROBLEMS. I COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED.THE LINE RUSTY OUT WHERE THEY BEND AND SALT AND DIRT BUILD UP. THERE IS NO REASON THEY CAN NOT MAKE THESE LINES OUT OF SS OR AS WITH THE NEWER LINES THEY ARE COATED. WHY COME OUT WITH A COAT LINE IF THERE IS NOT A PROBLEM. *TR
EXHAUST MANIFOLD BOLTS ON EACH SIDE OF ENGIN SNAPPED OFF FOR NO APPEARANT REASON / NORMAL USE, BIG CONCERN OF EXAUST FUMES ENTERING THE CAB
WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH ON URBAN ROAD I HAD TO SLAM ON MY BRAKES BECAUSE OF A DRIVER BACKING OUT OF A DRIVEWAY IN FRONT OF ME. BRAKES INITIALLY SLOWED VEHICLE THEN BRAKE PEDAL WENT CLEAR TO THE FLOOR. I QUICKLY ENGAGED PARKING/EMERGENCY BRAKE AND WAS ABLE TO STOP JUST IN TIME WHILE SIMULTANEOUSLY RUNNING OFF THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROAD. AFTER INSPECTION LEAKING BRAKE FLUID WAS OBSERVED ON LEFT UPPER FRAME RAIL JUST TO THE REAR OF THE RADIATOR. AFTER BEING TOWED HOME FUTURE INSPECTION REVEALED A LONGITUDINAL FRACTURE ON THE BRAKE LINE FOR THE RIGHT FRONT WHEEL. NO INJURIES, MINOR DAMAGE TO RIGHT SIDE (BRUSH SCRAPES). *TR
BLEW OUT ONE BRAKE LINE LOST ALL BRAKES NO BACKUP,PEDAL WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR. 54,000 MILES ALL LINES RUSTED ALL NEEDED TO BE REPLACED THANK GOD I JUST PULLED INTO A PARKING LOT.
THE SPEEDOMETER IS FAILING. IT WORKS ERRATICALLY. IT EVENTUALLY GOES TO ZERO AND STAYS THERE UNTIL I STOP AND RESTART THE TRUCK OR LET IT SIT OVERNIGHT.
BRAKE LINES RUSTED OUT. VERY FEW MILES. GMC IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS.
CASTECH CYLINDER HEADS ON 2001 THROUGH 2006 5.3L VORTEC ENGINES ARE POROUS AND ALLOW ANTIFREEZE TO SEAP INTO THE OIL. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN AS IT CAN DESTROY THE ENGINE (OIL DOESN'T LUBRICATE CORRECTLY, SLUDGE BUILDUP) AND LEAVE SOMEONE, AT THE LEAST, STRANDED, AT THE WORST, IT CAN CAUSE A HUGE ENGINE FIRE. GM HAS BEEN AWARE OF THIS SINCE 2007. THEY ISSUED A BULLETIN DESCRIBING THE PROBLEM AND WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE TO FIX, BUT NO RECALL. TO FIX EITHER THE CYLINDER HEADS NEED TO BE REPLACED ($2500) OR THE ENTIRE ENGINE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED ($5500). MY VEHICLE IS A 2005 GMC SIERRA 1500 SLE. RECENTLY PURCHASED A 05 GMC SIERRA 1500 HD WITH 6.0 VORTEC ENGINE. IT HAS A NOTICEABLE TICKING AND AFTER CHECKING MY EXHAUST MANIFOLD BOLTS I FOUND THAT FOUR ARE BROKEN AND ALLOWING RAW EXHAUST FUMES INTO THE AIR. WITH THE BOLTS BREAKING THE MANIFOLD IS WARPED AND BROKEN. THIS IS ALL AT 94,000 MILES.
TAKING VEHICLE OUT OF PARK BRAKE PEDAL WENT ALL WAY TO FLOOR BECAUSE STEEL LINE RUPTURED CAUSING MASSIVE LEAKAGE OF BRAKE FLUID, ROLLED OUT OF DRIVE WAY INTO STREET CUTTING WHEEL TO AVOID WRECK BEFORE COULD GET IN NEUTRAL AND ROLL TO STOP !
TAKATA RECALL GM RECALL # 49151 DATED JULY 2016. I HAVE NOT CONTACTED OR RECEIVED AND RESPONSE FROM GM. LET ME KNOW WHAT IS THE CURRENT STATUS AND WHAT IS TAKING SO LONG TO COMPLETE THIS RECALL.
WHEN BACKING OUT OF A LONG DRIVEWAY, THE BRAKE PEDAL SUDDENLY DROPPED TO THE FLOOR AND BRAKES DID NOT SLOW, STOP OR ENGAGE AT ALL. I PUMPED THE BRAKE SEVERAL TIMES WITH NO RESPONSE WHATSOEVER AND WAS ONLY ABLE TO STOP BY PULLING ONTO THE GRASS WHILE APPLYING THE EMERGENCY BRAKE. I FOUND ONE BRAKE LINE ON THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE HAD RUSTED THROUGH, BUT NONE OF THE OTHERS HAD A LEAK AND THE BRAKE FLUID WAS STILL FULL. WITH ONLY ONE BRAKE LINE DAMAGED I LOST ALL BRAKING POWER.
I DRIVE A 2005 SIERRA 1500 4 WHEEL DRIVE. WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY THE TRUCK WENT FROM NORMAL 2 WHEEL DRIVE (D ON THE STEERING COLUMN), INTO NEUTRAL. I DID NOTHING TO CREATE THIS ACTION . THE SITUATION WAS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. I DID PULL OFF AFTER OTHER DRIVERS ALMOST CRASHED DUE TO MY IMMEDIATE DECREASE IN SPEED. ONCE STOPPED I ATTEMPTED TO USE THE STEERING WHEEL SHIFT LEVER TO PUT THE TRUCK IN DRIVE OR PARK. IT WOULD NOT SHIFT, EVEN WITH FOOT ON THE BREAK. I NOTICED MY 4 WHEEL DRIVE SELECTOR SWITCH WAS NOT ILLUMINATED. I PUSHED THE 2WD BUTTON AND IT MADE A TERRIBLE NOISE. I TRIED THE AUTO 4WD BUTTON AND THEN WAS ABLE TO MOVE THE STEERING LEVER BACK TO PARK AND THEN TO D FOR DRIVE. NOW WHEN I SLOW TO TURN THE TRUCK DROPS INTO LOW 4 WHEEL DRIVE WHICH MAKES THE TRUCK SLOW TO 10 MPH MAX. THIS COULD GET ANYONE KILLED EVEN IF INITIALLY ONE HAD PLENTY OF TIME TO TURN. THERE ARE 100S OF FORUMS ON THE INTERNET DEALING WITH EXACTLY THIS PROBLEM YET NOTHING IS BEING DONE. HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE DIED BECAUSE OF THIS PROBLEM AND NOT HAD THE CHANCE TO TELL? HOW MANY MORE MUST DIE BEFORE ANYTHING IS DONE?
THE GEAR SHIFT INDICATOR LIGHT HAS GONE FROM DIM TO NO LIGHT AT ALL SO YOU CAN NOT SEE WHAT GEAR YOU ARE IN. THIS HAPPENS ANYTIME THE VEHICLE IS RUNNING.
BRAKE PEDAL WENT ALL THE WAY TO FLOOR. RUSTED THROUGH BRAKE LINE NEAR REAR DRIVER SIDE TIRE

AFTER INSPECTING THE VEHICLE, IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE BRAKE LINES WERE CORRODED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED THREE ADDITIONAL TIMES. ON 11-30-2015 I LOST THE BRAKE SYSTEM WHILE DRIVING ON A CITY STREET. UPON INSPECTION I FOUND A RUPTURED BRAKE LINE FROM THE PRIMARY SIDE OF THE MASTER CYLINDER. THE BRAKE LINE HAD FAILED DUE TO CORROSION. INSPECTING OTHER BRAKE LINES, I FOUND OTHERS THAT HAD CORROSION WHERE PLASTIC CLIPS WERE USED TO LOCATE LINES. I HAVE OWNED THIS TRUCK SINCE NEW AND HAVE CARED FOR IT METICULOUSLY. THE TRUCK HAS 66,00 MILES ON IT. I HAVE NEVER OWNED ANY VEHICLE THAT HAD IT BRAKE LINES RUST THROUGH LIKE THIS. A MAJOR CATASTROPHE TO ME AND MY FAMILY WAS AVERTED BY PULLING OVER AT THE FIRST SIGN OF FAILURE. GM SHOULD BE HELD LIABLE FOR EVERY VEHICLE IT MANUFACTURED WITH POOR QUALITY MATERIALS THAT CAN CAUSE FAILURE TO THE SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF AN AUTOMOBILE, THE BRAKES. AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THE ATTACHED PHOTOS, THIS TRUCK IS NOT RUSTED ANYWHERE ELSE.
ENGINE EXHAUST MANIFOLD BOLTS BREAK OFF ON 2 DIFFERENT GM 1 TON TRUCKS. BAD/ FAILED VEHICLE EMISSIONS AND A HUGE REPAIR BILL FOR BOTH TRUCKS. 85,000 MILES ON BOTH VEHICLES.
DRIVING 75MPH IN HEAVY HIGHWAY TRAFFIC THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE TRUCK LOST POWER AND SLOWED TO 40 MPH IN ABOUT 200 YARDS. WE ALMOST GOT HIT BY ALL THE TRAFFIC BEHIND AND AROUND US AS THIS HAPPEN WITHOUT ANY WARNING. WE GOT TO THE SIDE OF THE HWY AND I HAVE A SCANNER AND FOUND 2 CODES P0207 AND P2146. I GOT OUT AND CHECKED THE WIRING TO THE #7 INJECTOR AND DID NOT FIND ANYTHING. PLUGGED IT BACK IN CLEARED CODES ,ENGINE RAN FINE SO START DOWN THE ROAD AGAIN. AFTER 5 MILES IT DID IT AGAIN. IT TOOK ME 5 HOURS TO GO 90 MILES TO GET TO THE NEXT CITY. AT THE HOTEL I FOUND THAT GM HAS A TECH BULLETIN FOR THESE FAULTS AND IT WAS PUBLISHED IN 2008 AT LEAST. SO I WENT TO A DEALER AND WAS TOLD THEY WOULD CHARGE ME FOR THIS REPAIR. I WANT TO KNOW WHY GM DID NOT NOTIFY ME OF THIS KNOWN DEFECT IN 2008 SO I COULD HAVE THE TRUCK REPAIRED IN 2008? THIS DEFECT CAUSES THE TRUCK TO LOOSE SO MUCH POWER THAT IT WILL SLOW IN TRAFFIC WHICH COULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. WHY WOULD THIS NOT BE A RECALL THAT GM SHOULD PAY FOR ? GM TB NUMBER IS 05-06-04-047C WHICH TELLS YOU WHAT HAPPENS TO THE TRUCK WHEN THIS DEFECT HAPPENS.
CONCERNING GM 706 CASTECH CYLINDER HEADS/GM TSB 06-06-01-019B I HAVE A 2005 GMC SIERRA WHICH HAS SLOWLY BEEN LEAKING COOLANT FOR ABOUT 6 MONTHS. I HAVE HAD IT LOOKED AT AND THE DEALER INFORMED ME THAT I HAVE A 706 CASTECH CYLINDER HEAD THAT IS NOTORIOUS FOR CRACKING AND LEAKING. THE DEALER TOLD ME THERE WAS COOLANT INSIDE MY OIL AND RECOMMENDED REPLACING THE ENGINE. AS I HAVE BEGUN RESEARCHING THIS ISSUE I REALIZE THESE CYLINDER HEADS AFFECT MILLIONS OF GM VEHICLES AND LOYAL CUSTOMERS. GM HAS ISSUED A TSB AND ARE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AT HAND AND IN MY, AND MANY OTHER CUSTOMERS THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN A RECALLED ITEM. I AM CALLING ON GM TO FIX THIS ISSUE/MISTAKE.
ALWAYS TURNS OFF WHILE DRIVING OR WHILE AT IDLE
ENGINE OIL LEAK ON OR AROUND REAR MAIN SEAL. AS OIL DRIPS WHILE DRIVING THE OIL LANDS ON THE EXHAUST PIPE AND BEGINS TO BURN. THIS LEAK LANDING ON THE EXHAUST WHILE HOT CAN CATCH ON FIRE.
POWER STEERING HOSE HAS RUSTED AND BEGAN LEAKING. NOTICED A LOT OF UNDERCARRIAGE AND FRAME RUST ON THE WHOLE TRUCK.
ISSUES WITH EMISSIONS SWITCH. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WILL NOT GO OFF. ALSO 3 AND 4TH GEAR ARE COMPLETELY GONE OUT. I DO NOT TOW OR HAVE HAD ANYTHING EVEN REMOTELY HEAVY IN THIS TRUCK. IT'S A 2005 GMC SIERRA WITH ONLY 78,480 MILES ON IT. I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE HAVING ISSUES WITH THIS 4 SPEED TRANSMISSION. IT IS NOT HEAVY DUTY ENOUGH FOR THIS SIZE TRUCK. GM NEEDS TO RECALL ALL OF THESE TRANSMISSIONS. WHEN IT FIRST STARTED SLIPPING I LOST ALL POWER GOING DOWN THE ROAD AT ABOUT 55MPH. THE VEHICLE THAT WAS BEHIND ME SLAMMED ON HIS BRAKES TO AVOID HITTING ME. THIS PROBLEM WITH THE TRANSMISSION IS GOING TO KILL SOMEONE.
TIRE IS SEPARATED BETWEEN TREAD THIS IS THE 2ND TIRE THAT HAS DONE THIS IN THIS LOT.
VEHICLE WAS STOPPED. BRAKE PEDDLE WENT TO THE FLOORBOARD. NOT ABLE TO PUMP UP ANY PRESSURE. INVESTIGATION SHOWED BRAKE FLUID COMING FROM PERFORATED BRAKE LINE AT LEFT FRONT WHEEL. NO BRAKING ACTION AVAILABLE! APPEARS TO BE SOME TYPE OF CORROSIVE REACTION BETWEEN THE BRAKE LINE AND THE CLAMPS USED TO FASTEN THE LINE TO THE CHASSIS. NOTE: THIS VEHICLE HAS NEVER BEEN OPERATED IN SNOW OR ROAD SALT TO MY KNOWLEDGE.
THE RUNNING LIGHT SOCKETS BURNED OUT. I CAN SEND YOU THE BURNED OUT SOCKET BUT NEED AN ADDRESS.
