NOTICED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS THAT VEHICLE SEEMED TO BE LEAKING FUEL WHEN PARKED AND TURNED OFF. MOST RECENT CASE OCCURRED SHORTLY AFTER REFUELING. DEALER DIAGNOSED AS A "CRACKED FUEL SENDING UNIT". APPARENTLY THIS ALLOWS FUEL TO BE SPEWED OUT OF THE TANK WHEN PARKED. DEALER INDICATED THAT IT WASN'T COVERED BY WARRANTY DUE TO MILEAGE. CO-WORKER DISCUSSED ALMOST IDENTICAL PROBLEM WITH HIS YUKON XL (EXCEPT HIS SPEWED MORE FUEL INTO HIS GARAGE AND NEED TO BE CLEANED-UP BY HAZMAT TEAM). THIS APPEARS TO BE MORE THAN A RANDOM OCCURRENCE OF A PROBLEM THAT HAS SIGNIFICANT SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL IMPLICATIONS. I BELIEVE FURTHER INVESTIGATION (BY THE NHTSA AND GENERAL MOTORS) IS WARRANTED. *NLM
THE PARKING BRAKE ON MY 2000 YUKON WOULD NOT HOLD THE VEHICLE WHEN THE PARKING BRAKE WAS APPLIED AND THE TRANSMISSION WAS IN NEUTRAL. THIS CONDITION EXISTED WHEN I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE NEW. WHEN I TOOK IT BACK TO HAVE THE PROBLEM FIXED, I WAS TOLD THIS VEHICLE HAS A NEW TYPE PARKING BRAKE. IT WAS NOT DESIGNED TO HOLD THE VEHICLE WITH THE TRANSMISSION IN NEUTRAL. IT WOULD ONLY HOLD THE VEHICLE WITH THE TRANSMISSION IN PARK. AFTER TWO YEARS OF THE PARKING BRAKE NOT HOLDING I HAD IT IN FOR SERVICE AND INQUIRED ONE MORE TIME ABOUT THE PARKING BRAKE. THE DEALER CHECKED IT AND TOLD ME THE BRAKE PADS WERE WORN OUT AND NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE DEALER REPLACED THE PADS AND MADE SOME OTHER CHANGES. NOW THE PARKING BRAKE DOES HOLD THE VEHICLE WITH THE TRANSMISSION IN NEUTRAL. I FEEL I HAVE BEEN DECEIVED AND TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF SINCE THE DEALER TOLD ME THERE WAS NO PROBLEM UNTIL THE WARRANTY HAD EXPIRED. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF THERE HAS BEEN OTHER COMPLAINTS OF THIS TYPE. I OWN A 2000 GMC YUKON XL. OVER THE PAST FEW MONTHS, I HAVE HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE VEHICLE CONTINUALLY BLOWING A FUSE (ECM B FUSE). UPON MY OWN RESEARCH INTO THE CIRCUITRY, I DETERMINED THE LIKELY PROBLEM WAS THE FUEL PUMP. I REPLACED THE FUEL PUMP AND UPON REMOVING AND INSPECTING THE OLD COMPONENT, I DISCOVERED THE HOT WIRE (GRAY WIRE) WHICH OPERATES THE PUMP MOTOR HAD BEEN HOT ENOUGH TO MELT THE INSULATION OFF THE WIRE. MOREOVER, THIS HOT WIRE HAD MELTED INTO ONE OF THE WIRES OF THE FUEL LEVEL SENDING UNIT, WHICH IS A GROUND CIRCUIT. THE PROBLEM I WOULD LIKE TO BRING TO LIGHT HERE IS THAT THE FUEL PUMP UNIT IS INSIDE THE FUEL TANK. WHEN THIS HOT WIRE CAME INTO CONTACT WITH THE OTHER WIRE, I ASSUME THERE WAS A SPARK, OR THE POTENTIAL FOR ONE. WHY DIDN'T MY VEHICLE EXPLODE? I KNOW THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF THESE VEHICLES ON THE ROAD, BUT I HAVE NOT HEARD OF ANY SUCH EXPLOSIONS. I DO KNOW OF ANOTHER GM VEHICLE THAT HAD THE SAME PROBLEM OF EXPOSED WIRES IN THE FUEL TANK. PLEASE ADVISE ME OF THE DANGER LEVEL SHOULD THIS HAPPEN AGAIN. THANK YOU. *NLM
THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM AS BAD BARE WIRES INSIDE OF FUEL PUMP. THE WIRES SHORTED WHICH CAUSED VEHICLE TO STALL. *JB
THE HORN WAS INOPERATIVE. EVERY TIME THE HORN WAS USED, IT BLEW A FUSE. *JB
THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL STICKS. *AK
WHILE TRAVELING ON THE HIGHWAY WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL SET AT 72MPH, WHICH HAD BEEN ON AND IN PLACE FOR ABOUT 20 MINUTES, I LOOKED DOWN AND SAW THAT THE CAR WAS NOW GOING 85 - EVEN THOUGH I HAD NOT TOUCHED THE ACCELERATOR. I DECIDED THAT I WOULD HIT THE BRAKE A LITTLE TO DEACTIVATE THE CRUISE AND RESET IT. AFTER TOUCHING THE BRAKE, BUT BEFORE I PUT MY FOOT ON THE ACCELERATOR THE CAR WAS BACK UP TO 80 - 85. I PLAYED AROUND WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH, HOPING TO STOP THE PROBLEM. NOTHING WORKED IN THAT REGARD, SO I THOUGHT I WOULD JUST GET OFF THE HIGHWAY, TURN THE CAR OFF (WHICH WOULD RESET EVERYTHING), AND START OVER. WHILE TRAVELING TO THE EXIT, WHICH WAS ABOUT TWO MILES, I HAD TO KEEP SIGNIFICANT PRESSURE ON THE BRAKES TO KEEP THE CAR AT AN ACCEPTABLE HIGHWAY SPEED. ONCE I PULLED OFF ONTO THE EXIT RAMP, I REALIZED THAT THE CAR WOULD NOT STOP. I WAS STANDING ON THE BRAKE WITH BOTH FEET TO GET IT SLOWED DOWN TO MAKE THE TURN OFF THE RAMP. SINCE THE CAR WOULD NOT STOP, I TRIED PUTTING THE CAR INTO NEUTRAL TO GET THE PULL OFF THE WHEELS, AT WHICH TIME THE RPMS RED-LINED. I TRIED ALL THE DIFFERENT GEARS, WHICH HAD THE SAME RESULT. I BRACED MYSELF FOR THE JOLT AND THREW THE CAR INTO PARK, NO JOLT - THE RPMS WENT TO RED-LINE. AT THIS POINT I WAS HEADED FOR A GAS STATION AND I TURNED THE CAR OFF. UPON SHUTTING THE CAR OFF, A HUGE PUFF OF BLACK SMOKE CAME OUT FROM UNDER THE HOOD, AND EVERYTHING SMELLED LIKE BURNING RUBBER. A TOW TRUCK TOWED US BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP, WHERE THEY HAVE BEEN OF NO HELP WHAT SO EVER.
PURCHASED USED YUKON XL ON 10.17,02, ON JAN 6,2003 COMPUTER MODULE HAD TO BE REPLACED, CHEVY DEALER WANTED TO REPLACE IT FOR $800 PLUS LABOR, AFTER NEGOTIATIONS THE FINAL PRICE WAS $465, I HAVE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY WHICH OF COURSE DOESN'T COVER THE COMPUTER MODULE....IN TWO YEARS THE MODULE NEEDED REPLACEMENT? THE COMPUTER MODULE IS THE MAJOR PART, I DON'T LIKE THIS TRUCK, I WAS STUCK AND EVEN RECEIVED A TICKET BECAUSE IT WAS ON A SUNDAY NIGHT AND COULDN'T GET IT TOWED UNTIL MONDAY MORNING.....I THOUGHT THIS WOULD BE A DEPENDABLE CAR, WAS I MISTAKEN OR WHAT......TS
THE VEHICLE WOULD STALL WITHOUT WARNING. TYPICALLY, THE STALL WOULD OCCUR WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS COLD, OR DURING TURNS AT INTERSECTIONS-GOING FROM ONE ROADWAY TO ANOTHER.*AK DEALERS RESPONSE HAS BEEN A "DIRTY THROTTLE BODY," CODE J5485
MY 2000 GMC YUKON XL CAME WITH DEFECTIVE FIRESTONE STEELTEX R4S TIRES. I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND ONE OF THE FOUR TIRES BLEW OUT. UPON EXAMINATION OF ALL FOUR TIRES ON THE CAR BY MY MECHANIC HE FOUND ALL FOUR TIRES HAD SIGNS OF VERTICAL SEPARATION OF THE SIDEWALL AND PARTIAL TREAD SEPARATION OF THE LEFT REAR TIRE AND BIZARRE WEAR. THE TIRE THAT BLEW OUT HAD COME APART ON ONE OF THESE VERTICAL SEPARATIONS. I REPLACED THE TIRE WITH THE SPARE AND DROVE IT TO A FIRESTONE DEALER. I WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WERE NO PROBLEMS WHAT-SO-EVER WITH THESE FIRESTONE TIRES AND THAT THE ALIGNMENT OF MY SUV WAS THE PROBLEM. I TOLD HIM HE WAS CRAZY AND THAT I WOULD NOT HAVE AN ALIGNMENT DONE AND I WANTED IT IN WRITING. THE MANAGER GAVE ME IT IN WRITING, AND HAD THE TIRES REPLACED BUT CHARGED ME OVER $200 AND GAVE ME MORE OF THE SAME BRAND OF TIRE ON THE VEHICLE. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO MY GMC DEALER AND HAD HIM CHECK TO SEE IF AN ALIGNMENT WAS NEEDED AND I WAS EXPLAINED IN WRITING THAT AN ALIGNMENT WAS NOT NEEDED. *JB
I WAS SITTING IN A PARKING LOT AND NOTICED GAS FUMES IN THE CAB. I GOT OUT AND LOOKED UNDER THE SUV AND THERE WAS A PUDDLE OF GASOLINE DRIPPING OFF THE ENGINE ONTO THE GROUND. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER (WHICH COULDN'T FIX IT ON A SATURDAY SO WE HAD TO STAY IN TOWN TWO EXTRA DAYS UNTIL MONDAY AND RENT A CAR, BUT THEY WERE FAST ON MONDAY) . I WAS INFORMED BY THE DEALER THAT THIS WAS NOT A COVERED REPAIR BECAUSE IT WAS OUT OF THE ORIGINAL WARRANTY PERIOD , BUT MORE CONCERNING WAS THAT THEY COULD OFFER NO EXPLAINATION AS TO WHAT HAD CAUSED THE LEAK. I AM CONCERNED BECAUSE THIS COULD HAVE HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AND CAUSED A FIRE OR EXPLOSION AND INJURED OR KILLED ME OR A MEMBER OF MY FAMILY. I HAVE EMAILED GMC ON THEIR WEB SITE TODAY. PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS AS IT COULD BE LIFE THREATNING.*AK
POWER WINDOW MOTOR FAILED, DRIVER SIDE REAR WINDOW IS INOPERABLE, STUCK IN UP POSITION, THIS SEEMS TO BE A DOCUMENTED PROBLEM WITH YUKONS
WHILE DRIVING AND WHEN USING THE BRAKES, THEY WILL WORK INTERMITTENTLY, THE BRAKE PEDAL WILL GO TO THE FLOOR, CAUSING VEHICLE TO HAVE AN EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE. DEALER WILL BE NOTIFIED.*AK THE FAILURE STARTED ABOUT 6 MONTHS AGO. THE BRAKE WHEN DEPRESSING WOULD GO ABOUT ONE INCH FROM THE FLOOR CAUSING A PANIC SITUATION. THIS FAILURE OCCURRED SEVERAL MORE TIMES. *JG
COMPLETE TREAD PEELED OFF. SENT TO FIRESTONE AND THEY SAID THAT THEY WERE NOT RESPONSIBLE BECAUSE THE TIRE WAS OPERATED WITH "INSUFFICIENT AIR PRESSURE"!!! V672WL10200 SHOULD ALSO BE RECALLED!!! (NOTE: THE D.O.T. FIELD CUT OFF LAST NUMBER???) MR
WEATHER STRIPPING BETWEEN DRIVER'S FRONT DOOR AND REAR PASSENGER'S DOOR ALLOWS WATER TO SEEP INTO VEHICLE. PLEASE PROVIDE ADDITIONAL INORMATION.*AK
VEHICLE PARKING BRAKE WAS INOPERATIVE. CONSUMER PUSHED LEVER TO ENGAGE PARKING BRAKES, BUT VEHICLE WAS STILL MOBILE. TS PARKING BRAKE WILL NOT HOLD ON THE SLIGHTEST GRADE ESPECIALLY WITH CONSUMER'S BOAT ATTACHED. FAILURE OF THE PARKING BRAKE COULD RESULT IN THE VEHICLE AND BOAT TO SUBMERGE IN THE WATER. *TT

AIR BAG INDICATOR HAS LIT ON MANY OCCASIONS FOR LAST SEVERAL WEEKS. DEALER CLAIMS THEY CANNOT FIND A PROBLEM OR MAKE IT LIGHT, ALTHOUGH THERE WAS AN ERROR CODE IN THE VEHICLE COMPUTER. DEALER ATTEMPTED TO CHARGE ME FOR CHECKING AS EXTENDED WARRANTY WOULD NOT COVER. WE DRIVE IN FEAR THAT ONE OR BOTH AIR BAGS MAY DEPLOY AT ANY TIME DUE TO A SHORT CIRCUIT, CAUSING A MAJOR ACCIDENT.*AK
OWNER APPLIED THE BRAKES AND BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR. VEHICLE WAS NOT STOPPING UPON BRAKE APPLICATION. THIS CAUSED VEHICLE TO CONTINUE FORWARD INTO INTERSECTION. DRIVER MADE AN EMERGENCY RIGHT TURN WHICH THEN RESULTED IN THE VEHICLE SLIDING AND THEN FLIPPING OVER. PLEASE DESCRIBE DETAILS. *AK
DT; WHEN YOU APPLY BRAKE PRESSURE DO NOT KNOW IF YOU WILL STOP OR NOT. YOU HEARD THIS WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE SENSOR. BRAKES HAVE BEEN REPLACED ALONG WITH SENSORS AND YOU STILL HAVE THE PROBLEM.
FRONTAL COLLISION AT 40-45 MPH, NEITHER AIRBAG DEPLOYED. DRIVER SUFFERED HEAD INJURY. *AK *YD
ENGINE WAS RUNNING AND IN PARK WHEN IT STALLED. TOWED TO DEALER, FUEL PUMP INTAKE ASSEMBLY WAS REPLACED.*AK
SIDEWALL FAILED. VEHICLE WAS GOING AT 5 MPH WHEN FAILURE OCCURRED. TIRE WAS NOT ABUSED IN ANYWAY. *AK
BATTERY POSITIVE TERMINAL CRACKED AND PULLED OUT OF BATTERY CAUSING ACID TO LEAK AND COULD HAVE CAUSED A FIRE. DEALERSHIP SAID THEY HAVE SEEN ALOT OF THIS SAMETHING HAPPENING TO BATTERIES INSTALLED AT FACTORIES. THIS HASN'T HAPPENED JUST TO YUKON BUT ALSO OTHER GMC PRODUCTS*AK
MY YUKON DIES AT STOP LIGHTS &STOP SIGNS FOR NO REASON . BOTH ELECTRIC WINDOW MOTORS HAVE FAILED . THE BACK WIDOW EXPLODED FOR NO REASON .THE FRONT SUSPENISON FEELS LOSE.THIS CAR LOOKS LIKE A 12 YEAR OLD KID PUT IT TOGETHER.*AK
I DISCOVERED TWO GAPS IN THE REAR SEALS ON THE LIFT GATE OF MY 2000 GMC YUKON XL. THE GAPS ARE AT THE BOTTOM CORNERS OF THE LIFT GATE (RIGHT AND LEFT SIDES) AND ARE APPROXIMATELY 1 TO 3 INCHES LONG AND ABOUT 1/16" WIDE. THESE GAPS WILL ALLOW EXHAUST GASSES TO COME INTO THE VEHICLE, OR WATER IN THE EVENT OF A HEAVY RAINSTORM. WE PLAN TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE NEAREST DEALER VERY SOON, AS WE HAVE 35,990 MILES ON IT AND WE WANT IT FIXED UNDER WARRANTY. THE SEALS APPEAR TO BE INADEQUATE, I.E. INSUFFICIENT IN SIZE OR THICKNESS TO ADEQUATELY SEAL THE BOTTOM CORNERS OF THE LIFT GATE. THIS PROBLEM WAS FOUND BY INSPECTION BY MYSELF, AS I WAS INSPECTING THE VEHICLE PRIOR TO ALLOWING THE WARRANTY TO EXPIRE. FORTUNATELY, I WAS ABLE TO SEE LIGHT COMING THROUGH EACH CORNER, BEFORE ANYONE HAS A PROBLEM WITH THE GAP IN THE SEALS.
HORRIBLE ODOR EMITTED THRU VENTILATION SYSTEM. DON'T KNOW IF ASSOCIATED BUT MY FAMILY HAS BEEN ILL WITH ALOT OF RESPIRATORY PROBLEMS, WALKING PNEUMONIA (2OUT OF 4) IN SAME WEEK , AND MY 5YR OLD HAS BEEN PLAGUED BY VIOLENT VOMITING. I TOOK YUKON TO MARTIN GMC SAID ODOR WAS PROBABLY CAUSED BY EITHER MOLD/FUNGUS IN THE EVAPORATOR & COILS. THE SMELL IS VERY STRONG AND NAUSEATING . THERE HAVE BEEN SEVERAL TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETINS THRU GMC ON THIS PROBLEM. I AM WORRIED ABOUT MY FAMILIES HEALTH SINCE I HAVE CHRONIC ASTHMA AND MY CHILDREN HAVE ALLERGIES. THE DEALER IS GOING TO PUT A COATING OF CHEMICALS ON THE EVAPORATOR COILS THAT WILL (KILL?) MOLD AND FUNUS, THEN THEY WILL INSTALL AN ELECTONIC EVAPORATOR DRYER. I HOPE THIS IS GOING TO RECTIFY THE SITUATION AND NOT BE JUST A TEMPORARY FIX BECAUSE MOLD IS VERY HARD TO ERRADICATE IF YOU DO NOT GET TO THE SOURCE OF THE PROBLEM. I AM UPSET THAT A NEW CAR CAN HAVE THIS PROBLEM AND I'VE READ ON THE INTERNET THAT THIS IS NOT AN ISOLATED CASE. DO YOU KNOW OF ANY HEALTH RISKS DUE TO THIS? WHILE BRAKING LIGHTLY AT 30 MPH VEHICLE BRAKES LOCKED UP, CAUSING VEHICLE TO FISH-TAIL AND BECOME UNCONTROLLABLE. BRAKES DID NOT RETURN TO NORMAL, THEY CONTINUED TO LOCK THE WHEELS AND THE VEHICLE CRASHED INTO A POLE FLIPPED OVER, AND ROLL APPROCIMATELY 3 TIMES.*AK
ATTORNEY IS WRITING ON BEHALF OF CLIENTS, WHILE DRIVING 40MPH IN RAINY AND FOGGY WEATHER, VEHICLE RAN OFF THE ROAD HITTING AN EMBANKMENT WITH THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE AND THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. DRIVER'S FACE STRUCK STEERING WHEEL SUSTAINING FACIAL INJURIES. INSPECTION OF VEHICLE FOUND THAT A COIL IN THE STEERING COLUMN WAS NOT CONNECTED WHICH WAS THE CAUSE OF THE AIRBAG NOT DEPLOYING. VEHICLE PULLED TO THE RIGHT DURING BRAKING AND WAS GETTTING WORSE...DEALER SAID TREAD WAS CROOKED AND WOULD ONLY REPLACE ONE TIRE NOT A PAIR...THIS AFFECTS DRIVABILITY. THE TREAD WAS NOT CROOKED WHEN VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED.....WHAT HAPPEN...........????? THANKS. *AK (TIRESIZE: P265/75R16)

THE SEAT TRACK FOR THE FRONT SEATS ARE SHARP AS KNIVES. I LARCERATED MY FINGER WHEN VACUUMING CARPET. THERE SHOULD BE A CAP OR 'END' DEVICE ON THE END OF THE TRACK TO PREVENT THIS.*AK
MY 2000 YUKON HAS HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE ENGINE STALLING DURING BRAKING AND TURNS SINCE I BOUGHT IT IN 2001 WITH 10,000 MILES ON IT. I TOOK IT IN TO THE DEALERSHIP SEVERAL TIMES WHILE STILL UNDER WARRANTY AND I WAS GIVEN THE RUN AROUND. THE PROBLEM IS NOW SEVERE AND HAS ALMOST CAUSED ME TO CRASH MORE TIMES THAN YOU AND I HAVE FINGERS AND TOES. I CANNOT TRADE THIS VEHICLE IN BECAUSE OF THIS PROBLEM NOR CAN I FIND A MECHANIC OR DEALERSHIP (HA HA ) THAT CAN FIND OUT WHERE THE PROBLEM LIES. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THE INTAKE MOTOR OR THE INTAKE GASKET NEED TO BE REPLACED BUT DIAGNOSTICS CANNOT BACK THESE THEORIES UP. TODAY I NEARLY HIT A TELEPHONE POLE BECAUSE THE VEHICLE DIED AND LOST POWER STEERING WHILE I WAS MAKING A TURN. *AK

I HAVE HAD 2 CATASTROPHIC FAILURES ON THE SUBJECT FIRESTONE TIRES @ 60 AND 70 MPH RESPECTIVELY. FIRESTONE WOULD NOT REPLACE THE FIRST TIRE IN MAY, 2001. AFTER THE SECOND FAILURE, 8/30/02 I FOUND A RECALL CALL NOTICE ON FIRESTONES WEBSITE FOR THE WILDERNESS LE TIRES MANUFACTURED IN MEXICO(WHICH MINE WERE) HOWEVER IT ONLY COVERS DOT#V672WL21700. I HAVE APPEALED TO THE LOCAL FIRESTONE DEALER WITHOUT ANY SATISFACTION. MY CONCERN IS THAT THE PROBLEM EXTENDS BEYOND THE RECALL NOTICE AND SOMEONE WILL BE SERIOUSLY INJURED BEFORE FIRESTONE IS FORCED TO MAKE A BROADER RECALL.*AK
WHEN APPLYING PRESSURE TO BRAKE PEDAL IT WILL GO DIRECTLY TO THE FLOOR DURING HARD BRAKING WHICH COULD CAUSE A CRASH DUE TO FAILURE OF THE BRAKE SYSTEM TO ENGAGE. ALSO, DURING LIGHT BRAKING, BRAKES ENGAGE AT FIRST. THEN , BRAKE PEDAL WILL GO TO FLOOR. DEALERSHIP HAS INFORMED CONSUMER THAT THIS ACTIVITY WAS CONSIDERED TO BE NORMAL OPERATION OF THIS MODEL OF VEHICLE, AND THERE WAS NO NEED FOR CORRECTION. CONSUMER STATES HE TOOK VEHICLE INTO DEALERSHIP FOR AN INSPECTION OF THE RECALLED FIRESTONE WILDERNESS LE (P265/70R16) TIRES, CONSUMER WAS ADVISED BY DEALER THAT THE SPARE TIRE WAS ONE OF THE RECALLED TIRES AND ALL 5 TIRES WOULD BE REPLACED, CONSUMER MADE AN APPOINTMENT TO COME BACK TO HAVE TIRES REPLACED, HOWEVER WHEN THE DEALERSHIP TOOK VEHICLE TO A FIRESTONE DEALER, THEY STATED THAT ONLY ONE TIRE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. *JB
THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE TIRE BLEW OUT WHILE TRAVELING, THE CONSUMER WANTS ALL FIRESTONE TIRES ON THE VEHICLE TO BE REPLACED AT THE MANUFACTURER'S COST (WILDERNESS LE P265/70R16 IIIS). *YH
WHILE TRAVELING AT APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH VEHICLE PASSED UNDER POWER LINES COMING FROM A TOWER WHICH CAUSED RADIO/ GUAGES, AND ENGINE TO OPERATE ERRATICALLY AND THEN STOP FUNCTIONING. THIS EVENT HAS OCCURRED TWICE WHEN PASSING UNDERNEATH THESE POWER LINES. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION/ATTACHMENTS. *AK
FIRESTONE WILDERNESS LE TIRES, P265/70R16, WERE REPLACED DUE TO RECALL, HOWEVER TIRES WERE REPLACED WITH OTHER FIRESTONE TIRES THAT CAUSED TREMBLING AT SPEEDS BETWEEN 45 AND 55 MPH, DEALER STATED TIRES WERE FINE, CONSUMER FEELS THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO CHOOSE THE BRAND OF REPLACEMENT TIRES AND IS REQUESTING REIMBURSEMENT. *SLC
