SPEEDOMETER OF 2004 YUKON SLOWED WHILE DRIVING ,CAUSING ME TO SPEED UP TO MAINTAIN CONSTANT CRUISING SPEED. AFTER A WHILE I REALIZED I WAS INCREASING VELOCITY WHILE THE SPEEDOMETER REGISTERED A DECREASE IN VELOCITY. THE PROBLEM CHANGED TO RESULT IN A SPEEDOMETER REGISTERING OVER 120 MPH CONSTANTLY EVEN WHEN STOPPED. RESEARCH SHOWS WIDESPREAD PROBLEMS THROUGHOUT GMC LINE OF VEHICLES WITH SPEEDOMETERS. *A
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 GMC YUKON. APPROXIMATELY SIX MONTHS AGO, THE FUEL GAUGE BEGAN TO DISPLAY INACCURATE FUEL READINGS. BEGINNING IN NOVEMBER OF 2007, THE SPEEDOMETER BEGAN MALFUNCTIONING AND REMAINS AT 120 MPH, EVEN WHEN THE VEHICLE IS NOT ON. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TAKEN TO THE DEALER ON FOUR SEPARATE OCCASIONS FOR THE STEERING WHEEL TO BE GREASED BECAUSE IT MAKES A POPPING NOISE EVERY SIX MONTHS. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN TAKEN TO THE DEALER CONCERNING THE FUEL GAUGE OR THE SPEEDOMETER AT THIS TIME. THERE IS AN EXTENDED WARRANTY ON THE FUEL GAUGE AND SPEEDOMETER, WHICH HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO 70,000 MILES. THE VIN, ENGINE SIZE, AND PURCHASE DATE WERE UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 123,000 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 118,000.
PURCHASED CAR MAY 24, 2007 WITH 68004 MILES. ON MAY 25TH SPEEDOMETER STARTED STICKING AND THEN STOPPED WORKING ALTOGETHER. THEN WORKING SPORADICALLY. WAS CLOCKING 0MPH ON HIGHWAY WHEN ESTIMATED SPEED PROBABLY 60MPH. HAVE NOT DONE ANYTHING TO REPAIR YET. SEEMS LIKE A DEFECT AS PER HUNDREDS AND HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS ON LINE.
THE SPEEDOMETER MALFUNCTIONED, LEAVING THE NEEDLE STUCK AT OVER 120 MPH. I NOW HAVE NO WAY OF KNOWING HOW FAST I AM TRAVELING, PUTTING MYSELF AND OTHERS AT RISK. *AK
SPEEDOMETER IN 2004 GMC YUKON WAS ERRATIC AT FIRST INTERMITTENTLY, AND WAS NOW PERMANENTLY WAY OFF THE MARK. PERSONNEL CORRESPONDENCE WITH TWO DEALER SERVICE WRITERS CONFIRMED THAT THIS WAS COMMON IN AT LEAST 2003 AND 2004 YUKON'S. NON WARRANTY CLUSTER REPLACEMENT AT $400.00 WAS FIX.ED. GM SHOULD ISSUE FACTORY RECALL. *AK
TIRE BLEW UP ON HIGHWAY 75 STARTING SMOKING, ABLE TO PUT OUT POT. FIRE. SAT. MAY 19, 2007 WITH NO WARNING/ SOMEHOW CONTROLLED CAR AND EXITED HIGHWAY WITHOUT A WRECK. BRIDGEPORT DEULER H/T. *TR
I HAD A TIRE FAILURE WITH A SET OF GOOD YEAR EAGLES LS1. THE TIRE HAD FIVE TO SIX CRACKS IN THE INNER AND OUTER SIDE WALL OF THE TIRE CAUSING THE TIRE TO DEFLATE. INITIALLY I THOUGHT THAT IT WAS JUST ONE TIRE, BUT, IT ENDED UP BEING ALL FOUR TIRES. I TOOK THE TIRE IN TO GET ANOTHER ONE ONLY TO BE TOLD THAT THE TIRES WERE FLAWED AND THAT I WOULD AND OR SHOULD REPLACE THEM AS THEY WERE NOW A SAFETY HAZARD. I ENDED UP HAVING TO REPLACE ALL FOUR TIRES. MY QUESTION IS, AT WHAT POINT DOES A TIRE BECOME FLAWED? AND WHO SHOULD BEAR THE COST OF REPLACEMENT. DOES SOMEONE HAVE TO LOSE A LIFE BEFORE WE CAN MAKE THESE TIRE COMPANIES RESPONSIBLE? I CONTACTED GOOD YEAR AND I GOT THE SUBSTANDARD RESPONSE THAT I HAD GOT A FAIR PRICE FOR NEW TIRES, AFTER ALL, THEY DID PRORATE THEM. AGAIN, AT WHAT POINT IS A TIRE FLAWED? AND SHOULD THE CONSUMER HAVE TO BEAR THE COSTS FOR THESE CORPORATIONS? *TR
SPEEDOMETER MALFUNCTIONED. I NOTE FROM DOING A WEB SEARCH THAT THERE WERE MANY PEOPLE WITH THIS SAME PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE.*AK
SPEEDOMETER IS READING INCORRECTLY ON 2004 GMC YUKON. IT READS 60 MPH WHEN STOPPED AND OVER 120 MPH AT APPROX 60 MPH. MY ONLINE RESEARCH HAS UNCOVERED THOUSANDS OF THESE FAILURES AND SEVERAL POSSIBLE CLASS ACTION LAWSUITS ARE IN THE BEGINNING PROCESS. GMC, TO DATE, HAS ISSUED NO RECALL - THE CONSUMER SHOULD NOT BE FINANCIALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS SAFETY ISSUE - WITHIN WARRANTY PERIOD OR NOT - WHAT DO WE DO NEXT? *TR
WHILST DRIVING ON I-10 IT WAS NOTED THE INDICATED SPEED WAS LESS THAN POSTED. I ACCELERATED , BUT THE INDICATED SPEED DID NOT INCREASE. BY THE TIME I REALIZED THE SPEEDOMETER WAS READING INCORRECTLY I WAS ZOOMING PAST OTHER TRAFFIC. I WAS LIKELY TRAVELING 90 MPH IN THE 70 MPH ZONE. THIS WAS AN EXTREMELY UNSAFE EVENT. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER, AND WAS TOLD SPEEDOMETER CLUSTER FAILURES WERE VERY COMMON IN 2003 AND 2004 GM/GMC VEHICLES, BUT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE DEALER REPLACED THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER . HE TOLD ME IF HE HAD A NICKEL FOR EVERY ONE HE REPLACED HE WOULD BE A RICH MAN. *AK
SPEEDOMETER STARTED READING 120 MPH SITTING STILL RIGHT AFTER CAR WAS OUT OF WARRANTY I AM NOT ALONE WITH THIS PROBLEM THERE ARE TENS OF THOUSANDS JUST LIKE MINE WITH NO GM RECALL THIS ITEM NEEDS TO BE RECALLED IT IS DANGEROUS DRIVING WITH NO ACCURATE SPEEDOMETER. *JB
LIKE MANY OTHER COMPLAINTS ON THIS AND OTHER WEB SIGHTS SPEEDOMETER AND TACHOMETER DO NOT READ CORRECTLY. LAST FRIDAY,I DROVE FROM WICHITA,KANSAS TO WICHITA FALLS,TEXAS AT 100 MPH AND 6000 RPMS ACCORDING TO THE INSTRUMENTS. LUCKILY I HAVE A GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM THAT ALSO GIVES MPH AND I WAS ABLE TO CONTROL THE SPEED WITH IT. I ALSO HAD ZERO OIL PRESSURE AT VARIOUS TIMES ACCORDING TO THE GAUGE. THIS SEEMS TO BE A MUCH TOO COMMON PROBLEM WITH GMC AND OTHER GM PRODUCTS OF THIS YEAR. I FEEL GM SHOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THE REPAIRS AND NOT THE PUBLIC THAT HAS SPENT GOOD MONEY TO BUY THESE VEHICLES.*AK
TL*- THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING THE 2004 YUKON DENALI AT 60 MP, HE BEGAN TO HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THE TIRES WITH FAILURE MILEAGE 65,000). THE CONTACT TOOK RHE VEHICLE TO THE RICKYSMITH DEALERSHIP, FROM WHOM HE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE, TO HAVE THE TIRES REPLACED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE WAS CONTINUING TO HAVE TIRE BLOWOUTS, AS A RESULT THE REAR MUD FLAP BLOWINGT OFF.*AK
SPEEDOMETER ON 2004 GMC YUKON XL FROZE AT 60 MPH. AT NEXT USE SPEEDS REGISTERED UP TO 120 MPH. CURRENTLY STILL STUCK AT 60 MPH WHEN PARKED WITH ENGINE OFF. *JB
THE SPEEDOMETER WOULD ALL OF THE SUDDEN JUST GO DOWN TO ZERO. ONCE YOU WOULD STOP CAR, TURN OFF AND THEN BACK ON, IT WOULD RESET. IT DID THIS A HALF A DOZEN TIMES, UNTIL THIS PAST WEEKEND, WHILE DRIVING, IT SAID I WAS GOING 70, BUT I SEEMED TO BE PASSING EVERYONE. I SLOWED DOWN, AND NOTICED THAT THE SPEEDOMETER WAS STUCK AT 70. I STOPPED, TURNED OFF THE CAR AND NOTHING HAPPENED. I HAD TO CONTINUE MY TRIP BY PACING MYSELF WITH OTHER CARS. YESTERDAY, IT SAID I WAS PEGGED OUT GOING OVER 120. IT WOULD NEVER GO BELOW 70. I TOOK TO DEALER AND THEY HAD TO SEND CLUSTER TO BE REPAIRED. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION AND SOUNDS LIKE A RECURRING PROBLEM THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED BY GM. I DON'T THINK THE CONSUMER SHOULD BE STUCK PAYING FOR A SAFETY ISSUE THAT GM NEEDS TO REPLACE. *JB
I HAVE A 2004 GMC YUKON WITH 46,000 MILES AND THE SPEEDOMETER HAS STARTED STICKING AT RANDOM POINTS ON THE GAUGE. SITTING STILL WITH THE KEY OFF THE SPEEDOMETER CAN READ 10, 50 OR EVEN 70 MPH. AT THE MOMENT THE PROBLEM APPEARS TO BE INTERMITTENT, AND I HAVE RESEARCHED THIS, AND FOUND IT IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE CHEVROLET TAHOE, THE SAME TRUCK AS I HAVE EXCEPT LABELED AS A CHEVROLET . A REPLACEMENT FROM GM IS MORE THAN $500, INCLUDING THEIR INSTALLATION AND RECALIBRATING. I FIND THIS TO BE VERY CONCERNING FOR A CAR THAT IS ONLY 3 YEARS OLD TO HAVE SUCH A SERIOUS PROBLEM. *AK

2004 YUKON XL -- 26,000 MILES SPEEDOMETER SUDDENLY BECAME ERRATIC AND NEVER RESET. SHOWS 15 MPH AT A DEAD STOP AND 0 MPH WHILE TRAVELING 30. *NM
FUEL PUMP WENT OUT ON VEHICLE LEFT ME STRANDED ORIGINAL OWNERSHIP PAPER WORK LEFT IN VEHICLE SHOWS PREVIOUS WORK HAS BEEN DONE. *JB
TL*- THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SPEEDOMETER WAS STICKING AND REPORTED THE INCORRECT VEHICLE SPEED ON A 2004 GMC YUKON DENALI. OCCASIONALLY, WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY OR IN THE CITY THE SPEEDOMETER FAILED AT 40 MPH. *AK
STEPPED ON GAS AND SPEEDOMETER NEEDLE SOARED PAST ACTUAL SPEED LIMIT. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED OR AT STANDSTILL, IT STILL REGISTERING AT 120 MPH. SPEEDOMETER RESET ITSELF AFTER A DAY BUT PROBLEM HAS RECURRED 4 TIMES AFTER THAT AT VARIOUS POINTS ON THE SPEEDOMETER. *JB
STEPPED ON GAS IN MY 2004 GMC YUKON AND THE SPEEDOMETER NEEDLE SOARED WAY PAST THE ACTUAL SPEED. WHEN I STOPPED THE CAR, THE NEEDLE RESTED AT 120 MPH. AFTER A DAY IT RESET ITSELF AND THEN DID IT AGAIN. I WENT TO THE DEALER TO GET IT CORRECTED AND THEY ADVISED THAT THEY'VE BEEN RECEIVING ISSUES WITH THE INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTERS. MY EXTENDED WARRANTY DIDN'T COVER THE ISSUE BECAUSE IT WASN'T CONSIDERED A COVERED PART...BUT IT IS A SAFETY HAZARD! *JB

THE CONTACTS STATES THAT IT WAS 32 DEGREES TODAY AS SHE LEFT OUT FOR WORK. SHE STATES THAT WHILL DRIVING ALONG SHE ENGAGED HER REAR DEFROST. WHILE DRIVING ALONG DOING 55MPH SHE SAYS THAT WHOLE BACK WINDOW BUSTED OUT.
THE SPEEDOMETER DOES NOT READ THE CORRECT SPEED. IT DOESN'T START AT ZERO. ONCE IT READ LOWER THAN THE ACTUAL SPEED BUT USUALLY IT IS HIGHER. *NM
I HAVE TWO GM VEHICLES, A 2003 TAHOE & A 2004 DENALI. BOTH VEHICLES STARTED HAVING SPEEDOMETER PROBLEMS THIS WEEK. STANDING STILL THE SPEEDOMETER READS 30+ MPH, START MOVING & THEY ARE READING WELL OVER 120 MPH. I NO LONGER HAVE ANY IDEA HOW FAST I AM TRAVELING IN EITHER OF MY VEHICLES. THIS IS UNSAFE & GM SHOULD IMMEDIATELY RECALL ALL AFFECTED VEHICLES & FIX THIS PROBLEM QUICKLY. I HAVE 8 CHILDREN & WOULD LIKE TO KNOW THAT I AM DRIVING AT A SAFE SPEED AT ALL TIMES. *NM
IN SEPT. OF 2007, I NOTICED A SQUEAKING NOISE EACH TIME I OPENED THE BACK HATCH. WHEN I INVESTIGATED THE SOURCE, I OPENED THE BACK HATCH WINDOW AND THE HINGES THAT HELD THE GLASS TO THE BODY OF THE CAR WERE SEPARATING CAUSING THE WINDOW TO FALL AWAY ON A TILT. I CAN NO LONGER OPEN THE WINDOW FOR FEAR IT WILL COMPLETELY COME AWAY FROM THE VEHICLE. IT IS A HUGE SAFETY CONCERN AND I CAN NO LONGER OPEN THE BACK HATCH AT ALL ANY LONGER. THE VEHICLE HAS NEVER BEEN HIT OR DAMAGED IN ANY WAY AND THE BACK WINDOW HAS RARELY BEEN USED IN THE 3 YEARS I HAVE OWNED IT. I HAVE FOUND WEBSITES WITH PEOPLE COMPLAINING OF THE SAME SAFETY ISSUES WITH THE HINGES. *TR

SPEEDOMETER FAILURE. AFTER 5 MINUTE STOP WITH ENGINE OFF, SPEEDOMETER REGISTERED APPROX 55 WHILE GOING 25. PULLED OVER, STOPPED, SHUT DOWN AND RESTARTED. SPEEDOMETER STUCK AT 60. KEPT CLIMBING WHILE STOPPED. THEN WHEN DRIVING SPEED ADDED TO HIGHER SET POINT. READ OVER 100 MPH AT STOP 2 MILES LATER. THERE ARE 100'S OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS PROBLEM AT HTTP://WWW.TOPIX.NET/FORUM/AUTOS/CHEVROLET-TAHOE/T2BGKBGI55EKNU77C/P11 CLEARLY NOT A NORMAL WEAR PROBLEM ON VEHICLE. THIS IS CLEARLY A RECALL. JUST A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE SOMEONE DIES BECAUSE OF THIS PROBLEM. VERY DIFFICULT TO DETECT WHILE DRIVING, ESPECIALLY AT NIGHT, YOU ARE TRAINED TO TRUST THE INSTRUMENTS, NOT YOUR INSTINCTS. SOME HAVE INDICATED PROBLEM OF SPEED READING TOO LOW, THAT IS VERY DANGEROUS. THIS SHOULD BE ADDRESSED IMMEDIATELY. *NM
SPEEDOMETER JUMPS ERRATICALLY - FAULTY SPEEDOMETER HEAD AND INSTRUMENT CONTROL PANEL. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS KNOWN CONDITION SEEN ON MANY GMC AND CHEVY VEHICLES. A RECALL IS WARRANTED. *NM
WHILE LEAVING FOR OUR CHRISTMAS TRIP, I NOTICED THAT IT SEEMED THAT TRAFFIC WAS TRAVELING A LOT FASTER THAN USUAL. WHEN I PULLED OFF THE HIGHWAY, MUCH TO MY SURPRISE, MY SPEEDOMETER WAS STUCK AT A MINIMUM SPEED OF 76 MPH!! SINCE THEN, THE SPEEDOMETER CONTINUES TO GET STUCK AT VARIOUS SPEEDS AND I HAVE NO IDEA HOW FAST OR SLOW I AM GOING AT ANY GIVEN TIME. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS!! MY GMC YUKON IS ONLY 3 YEARS OLD AND HAS 61000 MILES ON IT. I CONTACTED THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD THAT IT WOULD COST ANYWHERE FROM $600-800 EST TO FIX THE PROBLEM PLUS RENTAL CAR FOR THE DAYS THAT THE WHOLE DASH OF MY CAR WAS SENT OUT TO BE RECONDITIONED. THE SERVICE TECH MENTIONED THAT THIS WAS A COMMON PROBLEM AND SOMETIMES IT TOOK MORE TO RECTIFY THE SITUATION. HE ALSO MENTIONED THAT OTHER INSTRUMENTS COULD BE FAILING ON THE DASH. THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS AND DANGEROUS REPAIR PROBLEM AND SHOULD BE REPAIRED AT NO COST TO THE CONSUMER. I HAVE FOUND HUNDREDS OF POSTS ON THE INTERNET ON THE ISSUE AND NO OWNERSHIP OF THE PROBLEM BY GM. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE!! I DRIVE CHILDREN IN THIS VEHICLE EVERYDAY AND THEIR SAFETY SHOULD NOT BE COMPROMISED IN THIS MANNER. FOR THE AMOUNT OF MONEY I SPENT ON THIS VEHICLE AND THE SHORT LENGTH OF TIME THAT I HAVE HAD IT, THERE SHOULD NOT BE SUCH A SERIOUS ISSUE. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE IMMEDIATELY!! *JB

SPEEDOMETER WOULD CONSISTENTLY DROP OVER THE COURSE OF THE TRIP AND FINALLY IT WILL REPORT 0 MPH WHILE THE CAR IS IN MOTION ON AN INTERSTATE. TEMPORARY FIX IS TO PULL OVER AND TURN THE CAR COMPLETELY OFF AND TRY AGAIN. IT WORKS FOR AROUND 60 MILES AND PROBLEM STARTS ALL OVER AGAIN. DEALER SUGGESTED TO REPLACE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER WHICH WILL COST ANY FROM $250-350. THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE PER MY RESEARCH ONLINE. THERE ARE MANY EBAY VENDORS THAT SPECIALIZE IN THIS AND CHARGE GOOD MONEY. *JB
DRIVING DOWN FREEWAY IN 2004 GMC DENALI AND THE SPEEDOMETER STOPPED WORKING. IT NOW WORKS ONLY ERRATICALLY, ALONG WITH THE TACHOMETER. *JB
WHILE DRIVING AT 50 MPH, SPEEDOMETER 'FAILED' TO THE NEEDLE POINTING STRAIGHT DOWN. I DROVE ANOTHER 10 MINUTES HOME, SPEEDOMETER NEEDLE NEVER MOVED. CYCLING ENGINE OFF/ON SEEMED TO CAUSE THE NEEDLE TO 'DECREASE' INDICATED SPEED BY ABOUT 10 MPH WITH EACH CYCLING. AFTER CYCLING THE IGNITION ABOUT 15 TIMES WHILE PARKED IN MY DRIVEWAY, SPEED AGAIN READ 0. STARTING THE ENGINE AGAIN, THE INDICATOR STILL READ 0, AND WHEN DRIVING AROUND THE BLOCK, THE SPEEDOMETER SEEMED TO WORK AGAIN. DOING A GOOGLE SEARCH FOR POSSIBLE FIXES, I FOUND A WEB-SITE FULL OF PEOPLE WITH SIMILAR ISSUES WITH COMPARABLE GMC VEHICLES. IS THERE A RECALL IN THE WORKS? *NM
THE MAJORITY OF THE TIME WHEN I GO TO THE GAS STATION AND TRY TO PUMP GAS, THE PUMP ALWAYS SHUTS OFF. IT HAPPENS WHEN I PUMP GAS MANUALLY OR USE THE LEVER ON THE GAS PUMP. I PULL OUT THE GAS NOZZLE AND RE-INSERT IT AND IT CONTINUALLY HAPPENS. IT IS VERY ANNOYING TRYING TO FILL UP THE 26 GALLON GAS TANK. *NM
ERRATIC SPEED SHOWN ON SPEEDOMETER. SHOWS ZERO AT ONE TIME AND THEN READ MAX OUT AT 120. TOOK IT TO HAVE REPAIRED AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY HAD HAD NUMEROUS OTHERS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. COST TO REPAIR $600!!! I FOUND A WEBSITE WITH 209 POSTED COMPLAINTS OF THE SAME PROBLEM. THIS IS CLEARLY A SAFETY ISSUE THAT NEEDS ATTENTION. WITH A POSSIBLE INTERACTION WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL NOT TO MENTION INACCURATE SPEED. *NM
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 GMC YUKON. WHILE DRIVING AT 25 MPH THE CONTACT ENGAGED THE BRAKES AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT STOP AND CAUSED IT TO CRASH INTO THE REAR OF ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000. BETWEEN THE TWO VEHICLES, FOUR PEOPLE SUSTAINED MINOR INJURIES. THIS WAS THE SECOND TIME THE BRAKES FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DRIVABLE AND WILL NOT BE REPAIRED. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGE WERE 70,000. *AK

THE SPEEDOMETER READ ZERO INTERMITTENTLY WHILE DRIVING, OR IT READ ONE HUNDRED MILES PER HOUR WHILE SITTING STILL. TL*- THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING THE 2004 AT 45 MPH CONDENSATION BEGAN TO BUILD UP ON THE WINDOW, THE CONTACT TURNED THE DEFROSTER ON, BUT IT DID NOT OPERATE. THE CONTACT DROVE THE VEHICLE HOME, THEN DROVE THE VEHICLE TO THE MECHANIC , WHO DIAGNOSED THE FAILURE AS THE HEATER CONTROL NOT DIRECTING THE HEAT UP TO THE WINDOW. *AK
SPEEDOMETER MALFUNCTIONS CONTACTED THE DEALER AND THEY TELL ME IT IS COMMON IN THE MODEL AND YEAR I HAVE. SAID IT IS AN ELECTRICAL MALFUNCTION AND IT WAS ESTIMATED AT $600 TO REPAIR. THE SPEEDOMETER WORKS SOMETIMES AND STOPS WORKING OTHER TIMES AND GOES HAY WIRE SOMETIMES. MANUFACTURER IS AWARE OF THE DEFECT ACCORDING TO THE DEALER. *JB
SPEEDOMETER JUST STOPPED WORKING. EVERYTHING WAS GOING ALONG FINE, THEN, IT JUST WENT TO PAST 120 AND STAYED THERE. IT'S NOW STUCK. *JB
2004 YUKON DENALI XL. FAULTY INSTRUMENT CLUSTER ( WRONG MPH READINGS) ON MY 2004 DENALI. NOT UNDER WARRANTY. HAD TO PAY GMC TO REPLACE. FAULTY FUEL READINGS. POSSIBLY TANK BAD SENSOR. GMC NEEDS TO RECALL THESE ITEMS OR OFFER REFUNDS TO THOSE WHO FIXED PROBLEMS WITH OWN MONEY. *JB
THE LEFT REAR LIFT GLASS HINGE WELD FAILED RESULTING IN THE NEED TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE UNIT. THE CLAIM WAS DENIED BY THE EXTENDED WARRANTY PROGRAM BECAUSE THE DEFECT INVOLVES A HINGE. THE HINGE DID NOT FAIL THE WELD TO THE HINGE FAILED. THIS SHOULD BE COVERED OR BE A RECALL ITEM DUE UNDER STRUCTURAL FAILURE. *JB
