DASHBOARD CRACKING FROM DRIVER SIDE TO AIR BAG ON PASSENGER SIDE COULD DEFLATE AIR BAG IF DEPLOYED DEALER AND GENERAL MOTORS OFFERED NO HELP AND THEY WILL REPAIR FOR $1050.00
MY 2007 GMC YUKON'S CHROME INTERIOR DOOR HANDLES ARE PEELING. A CO-WORKER OF MINE AND GIRLFRIEND WERE CUT BY THE PEELING PLASTIC. BOTH CUTS WERE DEEPER THAN YOUR AVERAGE PAPER CUT AND WAS VERY PAINFUL. THIS WAS ON THE PASSENGER DOOR, THEN I WAS CUT ON THE DRIVER SIDE WEEKS LATER. GMC WOULD NOT REPLACE AS MY MILEAGE IS OUT OF WARRANT AND THEY WANTED TO CHARGE $340 TO REPLACE!! EXTREMELY COSTLY AND FRUSTRATING FOR A DANGEROUS NON-REPAIR. *TR
2007 GMS YUKON XL HAS HAD NUMEROUS ISSUES WITH AIR VENTING SYSTEM BECOMING STUCK IN DEFROST MODE. 8/30/07 SERVICE ACTUATOR WAS REPLACED. AGAIN ON 7/01/08 I HAD THE ACTUATOR REPLACED. 2/20/09 ISSUE OCCURRED AGAIN SAME ACTUATOR WAS REPLACED FOR 3RD TIME ALONG WITH NEW PROGRAMMING FOR HVAC CONTROL HEAD. NOW 6/28/10 I'M HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM AGAIN. DANGER OF THIS ISSUE IS IN THE SUMMER MONTHS FOGGING OF THE EXTERNAL WINDSHIELD HAPPERS VISION AND AUTOMATE WIPER WILL NOT KICK ON DUE TO MOISTURE NOT REACHING SENOR AT TOP OF WINDSHIELD. HOWEVER, VISION BECOMES IMPAIRED AND VERY DANGEROUS AT NIGHT WHEN DRIVING. APPEARS TO BE A KNOW WIDESPREAD ISSUE BASED ON MECHANICS NOTE OF NUMEROUS BULLETINS BEING ISSUED ON CONCERN. NO FIX HAS WORKED TO DATE. *TR
WE OWN A 2007 GMC YUKON DENALI. MY 8 YEAR OLD SON'S THUMB ON HIS RIGHT HAD WAS TRAPPED IN THE HINGE ON THE REAR PASSENGER DOOR, AS HE WAS EXITING THE VEHICLE. WHILE HE WAS EXITING THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT, AS MY OTHER CHILDREN OPENED OF THE REAR PASSENGER DOOR HIS THUMB WAS NEARLY COMPLETELY SEVERED BY THE HINGE. THE HINGE IS COMPLETELY EXPOSED, THERE IS NO SAFETY MECHANISM, COVER, OR PREVENTIVE FEATURE. THE HINGE COMBINED WITH THE WEIGHT OF THE DOOR, MOVES THE HINGE OPENING FROM ROUGHLY AND INCH OPENING TO A ZERO CLEARANCE AREA. THE HINGES CROSS OVER TOP OF EACH OTHER WITH THE TWO EDGE PLANES OF EACH PART ACTING SIMILAR TO A BOLT CUTTER OR TREE LIMB CUTTER. ONE OF THE EDGE PLANES HAS A RELIEF CUT WHICH ACTS AS A TRAP AS VERY LITTLE MOVEMENT OF THE DOOR ELIMINATES THE OPTION OF PULLING BACK A FINGER OR SMALL HAND. IF YOU WERE TO SIT IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT, OPEN DOOR AND EXIT AS ONE NORMALLY WOULD, SIMPLY DROPPING YOUR ARM STRAIGHT DOWN PUTS YOUR HAND(FINGERS) AT RISK. THE ONLY REASON HIS THUMB WAS NOT SEVERED IS BECAUSE THE CHILDREN EXITING THE CAR STOPPED OPENING THE DOOR AND CLOSED IT SO HE COULD TAKE HIS THUMB OUT. HAD THE DOOR OPENED ALL THE WAY HIS THUMB WOULD HAVE BEEN LOST. AS IT REMAINS WE SPENT SEVERAL HOURS IN AN EMERGENCY ROOM, HE HAD TO HAVE 4 STITCHES AND AN XRAY. BECAUSE IT WAS ON THE JOINT NO BONES WHERE BROKEN. A TERRIBLE ACCIDENT THAT VERY EASILY COULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED. *TR
I RECENTLY BOUGHT A USED 2007 GMC YUKON XL. A PASSENGER NOTICED THE CHROME ON THE DOOR HANDLE WAS PEELING AND VERY SHARP. I NOTICED THE DRIVERS HANDLE IS JUST STARTING TO PEEL. I SAW AN INVESTIGATION IS CURRENTLY BEING CONDUCTED. *TR
CRACKED DASHBOARD ON DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE.COULD NOT GET HELP FROM GMC SUV HAS BEEN GARAGED KEPT. IT HAS 101,000 MILES.
WHEN VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED I WAS TOLD THAT THERE WAS AN EXHAUST LEAK IN EXHAUST MANIFOLD. DEALERSHIP FOUND A BROKEN BOLT ON LEFT SIDE AND REPLACED IT. I HAVE JUST BEEN INFORMED THAT I NOW AS OF 01/30/2012 WITH 62,760 MILES I HAVE ANOTHER BOLT BROKEN ON THE RIGHT SIDE. AFTER RESEARCHING ON INTERNET IT IS OBVIOUS THAT GM HAS A DESIGN FAULT IN USING LOWER GRADE BOLT WHICH ARE BREAKING IN LARGE NUMBERS. I IMPLORE THE NTSA TO REQUIRE GM TO REPLACE THESE DEFECTIVE BOLTS EITHER BY RECALL OR AS INCIDENT OCCURS AT NO COST TO CAR OWNERS. I AM TOLD THAT THE EXHAUST LEAK CAN CAUSE FAILURE OF THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER AND OTHER ENGINE FAILURE PROBLEMS WHICH CAN RESULT IN SAFETY ISSUES. *TR
VEHICLE DOWNSHIFTED AND ACCELERATED WHILE COASTING AT AROUND 45 MILES PER HOUR. FOOT OFF ACCELERATOR. APPLIED BRAKE AND CAR RETURNED TO NORMAL HAPPENED ON WEDNESDAY JUNE 2, 2010 NEAR LABADIE MISSOURI AND ON FRIDAY JUNE 4, ON INTERSTATE 55 NORTH OF MIDWAY AIRPORT IN CHICAGO. *TR
INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE COATING WEARING OFF, BECAME SHARP AND LACERATED MY INDEX FINGER. *TR
HAVE 2 KIDS AGED 9 AND 4. THE TAILGATE DECIDED TO GO ON MY 2007 YUKON XL. THE GATE ALMOST CRUSHED MY 9 YEAR OLD SON IF IT HAD NOT BEEN FOR ME STANDING THERE. THIS IS AN ELECTRONIC GATE AND IS ONLY 3 YEARS OLD. THIS SHOULD NEVER HAVE HAPPENED. *TR
2007 DENALI WITH 22,000 MILES HAD A LIFTGATE FAILURE. AFTER A $78.00 DIAGNOSIS AT LOCAL DEALER THE REPAIR ESTIMATE WAS $450.00. ACCORDING TO GM CUSTOMER SERVICE PERSONNEL THE REPAIR IS NOT UNDER WARRANTY, AND FURTHER MORE BECAUSE WE PURCHASED IT USED IT WON'T BE ELIGIBLE FOR ANY ASSISTANCE FROM GM EITHER. WHILE EVALUATING PROBLEM I NOTICED THERE IS NO EGRESS POSSIBLE FROM INSIDE WHILE PROBLEM EXISTS. THIS SEEMS LIKE A VERY DANGEROUS CONDITION BECAUSE AN EMERGENCY THAT DISABLES TYPICAL EGRESS THROUGH DOORS WOULD LEAVE THE REAR LIFTGATE AS ONLY CHOICE TO ESCAPE FROM FIRE OR WATER FOR INSTANCE. *TR

HAVE SAME PROBLEM REGARDING INTERIOR DOOR HANDLES - CHROME TREATMENT BEGINS TO PEEL AND PEELING CHROME IS VERY SHARP RESULTING IN CUTS TO FINGERS AND HANDS. POOR CHROMING PROCESS RESULTING IN PRODUCT FAILURE. HANDLES NEED TO BE REPLACED. *TR
MY 2007 YUKON XL DENALI DASHBOARD CRACKD IN THREE DIFFERENT PLACES. AT THE AIRBAG, LEFT SIDE TOP OF DASH AT INSTRAMENT CLUSTER AND IN THE MIDDLE TOP. THE VEHICLE WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTEE BUT GM AND THE DEALER REFUSED TO MAKE THE REPAIR. ON TWO DIFFERENT OCCASIONS I FILED A COMPLAINT WITH GM AND THE DEALER BUT WAS REFUSED IN 2010, 2012 AND 2014. I AM CONCERED THAT F THE PASSENGER AIRBAG DEPLOYS THE DASH DEBRIS WITH DAMAGE ME AND MY FAMILY AS IT DID ON MY SISTERS GM VEHICLE.
THE INCORRECT FUEL LEVELS WHEN IT RUN LOW, IT WAS SHOWING THAT HAVE 120 MILES TO GO, WHEN I JUST DROVE FOR 20 MILES AND IT EMPTY, IT DROP DOWN SO FAST THAT I'M SO NERVOUS, ALMOST ON FREEWAY NO WHERE NEAR BY FOR GAS STATION, IT HAPPENING SEEN I BOUGHT THIS TRUCK BACK IN 2009 AND STILL NOW PROBLEM WITH IT, I HAVE TO REFILL ALMOST HALF OF THE TANK EVERY TIME, CAN'T WAIT UNTIL IT EMPTY LIGHT IT WILL OUT OF GAS SO QUICK, AND SECOND PROBLEM IS STEERING MAKING NOISE EVERY TURN ON A COLUMN OF STEERING. *TR
DASHBOARD HAS BEEN CRACKED SINCE I BOUGHT IT USED (WAS ONLY 2-3 YEARS OLD AT THE TIME); DITTO REGARDING DOOR HANDLES--THE SILVERISH COVER HAS BEEN PEELED BACK SINCE I BOUGHT IT, OCCASIONALLY CAUSING CUTS TO HANDS ON DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE WHEN OPENING THE DOOR.
VEHICLE WENT INTO REDUCED ENGINE POWER AND CRASHED INTO FENCE. VEHICLE GOES INTO REDUCED ENGINE POWER AFTER 22 REPAIR ATTEMPTS AND ON HIGHWAY AT 70 MILES PER HOUR WITH CHILDREN IN CAR THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SITUATION. MY VEHICLE WAS DAMAGED FROM THE REDUCED ENGINE POWER AND AT THIS POINT IT IS UNABLE TO BE SOLVED PERMANENTLY TO STOP THE VEHICLE FROM GOING INTO REDUCED ENGINE POWER. IT DOES IT WHENEVER AND WHEREVER WITHOUT KNOWING. GOES FROM HIGH RATE OF SPEED TO ZERO. ALMOST HAD A SEMI SLAM INTO MYSELF ON THE INTERSTATE. I COULD NOT PULL OVER. HAVE HAD EVERY PART REPLACED AND DEALERSHIP IS AT A LOSS. NEEDS TO BE A RECALL DUE TO INABILITY TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM. *TR
LOUD RUBBING NOISE COMING FROM THE FRONT DRIVE ASSEMBLY UPON A LEFT OR RIGHT TURN. DEALER STATED IT WAS WITHIN LIMITS. I AM AFRAID A COMPONENT IS GOING TO FAIL AND CAUSE PERSONAL INJURY. *TR
CHROME ON INTERIOR DOOR HANDLES IS PEELING OFF CAUSING RAZOR SHARP EDGES
WHEN COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP, THE BRAKES JERK OR A SLIPPING MOTION AFTER YOU ARE AT COMPLETE STOP. WE HAVE BROUGHT IT TO THE ATTENTION TO THE DEALERSHIP NUMEROUS TIMES AND THE HAVE JUST LUBED THE PROBLEM, ACCORDING THEIR MEMO THAT IS THE PROCEDURE, INSTEAD OF FIXING THE PROBLEM. THIS IS A ALMOST DAILY BASIS, IT APPEARS TO BE A PROBLEM THAT GMC DOESN'T WANT TO SPEND THE MONEY TO FIX ON THESE VEHICLES. *TR
I PURCHASED A 2007 YUKON AND SINCE THAT TIME I HAVE HAD THE REAR AXLE BEARING REPLACED 2 TIMES AT 43K MILES AND AGAIN AT 93K DUE TO A HUMMING NOISE EXTREMELY LOUD. AGAIN THE NOISE RECURRED AT 123K MILES I RETURNED TO DEALER THEY REFUSED TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM BECAUSE THE WARRANTY WAS EXPIRED AT 100K. I MENTIONED THAT THE NOISE RETURNED FOR THE 3RD TIME. II CONTINUED TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE AND A FEW DAYS LATER WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY W MY DAUGHTER THE CAR LOCKED ( DIFFERENTIAL). THE DIFFERENTIAL GEARS BROKE..I HAD IT TOWED BACK TO THE LAST DEALER THAT REPAIRED VEHICLE AND THEY MENTIONED IT WAS OUT OF WARRANTY ( WHICH IS WHY THEY COULDN'T INSPECT IT UNLESS I PAID). I THEN TOOK IT TO MY HOME DEALER WHERE CAR WAS PURCHASED AND THEY DISCOVERED AN INTACT SCREW WHEN THEY REMOVED THE COVER FROM DIFFERENTIAL. MECHANIC NOTED THAT THE PREVIOUS DEALER THAT WORKED ON VEHICLE MIGHT HAVE NOT TIGHTENED BOLT CORRECTLY SINCE BOLT HAD NO DAMAGE OF THREADS AND WAS INTACT. I THEN CALLED GM CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY REFUSED TO CORRECT PROBLEM. SERVICE DIRECTOR DID MENTION THAT AXLES COULD HAVE SHOT OUT AND CAUSED FATAL CRASH KEEP IN MIND MY DAUGHTER OF AGE 6 WAS IN THE CAR.DEALER (HOME DEALER) STILL HAS VEHICLE AND DEALER THAT LAST REPAIRED REFUSES TO CORRECT PROBLEM. IT HAS BEEN 1 YEAR AND 1 MONTH SINCE LAST REPAIRED AND MENTIONED IF NOT TIGHTENED PROPERLY IT WOULD HAVE ALREADY CAUSED PROBLEM BY NOW. PLEASE ADVISE IF I HAVE ANY ALTERNATIVE COURSE OF ACTION THE REPAIRS EXCEED 5000.00 DOLLARS NOT INCLUDING ANY DAMAGE TO THE TRANSMISSION WHEN DRIVE SHAFT LOCKED ... *TR

THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 GMC YUKON XL. THE CONTACT STATED THE COATING ON ALL FOUR DOOR HANDLES WAS CHIPPING FROM THE VEHICLE AND CAUSING CUTS ON HER HANDS. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THREE INDIVIDUALS HAVE SUSTAINED MINOR INJURIES DUE TO THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THE CONTACT WAS TOLD THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN AN UNKNOWN RECALL FOR THIS FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 52,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 69,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. SM.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 GMC YUKON. WHILE TRAVELING 25 MPH, THE CONTACT NOTICED A LOUD EXPLOSION FROM OUTSIDE OF THE VEHICLE. HE FOUND THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE MIRROR HAD FRACTURED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE MIRROR WAS REPLACED BY AN AUTHORIZED DEALER. THE FAILURE RECURRED WITHIN SIX MONTHS WHILE THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING 5 MPH. THE DEALER REPLACED THE MIRROR A SECOND TIME. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A LOCAL REPAIR FACILITY FOR A SECOND OPINION WHERE HE WAS INFORMED THAT THE FAILURE HAD OCCURRED INTERNALLY. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 29,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 35,000.
SEVERAL ISSUES WITH VEHICLE. THROTTLE BODY, COMPUTER ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, TRANSMISSION FLUID AND COOLANT LEAK. DOOR HINGES RUSTED AND HARD TO OPEN DOORS. CHROME RIMS PITTING AND PEELING. STEERING COLUMN REPLACED. TAILGATE RATTLES. VEHICLE ONLY HAS 37K MILES. *TR
THE CHECK ENGINE/SERVICE STABILITRAK/ENGINE POWER REDUCED LIGHT COMES ON FREQUENTLY YET THE GMC DEALER CANNOT PINPOINT THE PROBLEM. POTENTIALLY A CONNECTION TO RECALL OF CARS EQUIPPED WITH HEATED WINDSHIELD WASHER FLUID FEATURE. DID DETECT A SLIGHT ODOR SHORTLY AFTER USING THE WINDSHIELD WASHER FLUID AND THE INDICATOR LIGHTS STARTED FLASHING AND THE CAR SLOWED DOWN CONSIDERABLY ON THE HIGHWAY DURING INCLEMENT WEATHER. THUS FAR NOTHING HAS CORRECTED THE PROBLEM; WE ARE HOPING TO GET THE CAR BACK TO OUR HOME STATE SO THE DEALER CAN WORK ON RESOLVING THIS HAZARD. *TR
DASH CRACKED ABOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL, ACROSS TO PASSENGER SIDE, AS WELL AS FROM SPEAKER TO FRONT OF DASH. PIECES ARE MISSING IN FRONT OF SPEAKER. CRACKING STARTED ABOUT 2010 AND HAS CONTINUED TO GET WORSE. I AM AFRAID SOME ONE WILL GET GRAVELY INJURED IF THERE WAS A WRECK. OR EVEN IF THERE IS NOT A WRECK.
TAKATA RECALL - NO RESOLUTION BY TAKATA / GM AFTER ALL THESE YEARS - NO INCIDENT THUS FAR, BUT I PREFER NOT TO BE TAKATA / GM TEST SUBJECT.
DASH CRACKED AND BROKEN. WORRIED ABOUT SPLINTERED PIECES AND SPEAKER COMING OFF IN EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT. *TR
I HAVE HAD MY AIRBAG LIGHT ON FOR ATLEAST 4 YEARS AND GMC SAID THAT THERE IS NO FIX FOR THIS YET. I GOT A RECALL NOTICE IN THE MAIL BUT THEY SAID THERE IS NO PARTS. CAN YOU PLEASE HELP ME. ITS A TAKATA AIRBAG
THE SILVER COVERING ON THE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLES OF MY 2007 YUKON'S HANDLES ARE PEELING AND ARE VERY SHARP AT THE SEAMS. MY ENTIRE FAMILY HAS CUT OURSELVES SEVERAL TIMES SINCE WE HAVE OWNED THE VEHICLE. *TR
I HAVE A 2007 GMC YUKON THAT I PURCHASED NEW FROM A DEALERSHIP THAT IS NO LONGER IN BUSINESS. I NOTICED IN OCTOBER OF 2009 THAT THE DASHBOARD WAS CRACKED. OVER THE NEXT FEW MONTHS THE CRACKS GOT WORSE AND NOW ARE IN THREE AREAS. I CONTACTED GMC AND WAS TOLD TO TAKE IT INTO A DEALERSHIP FOR THEM TO ACCESS THE DAMAGE. A WEEK AFTER I TOOK IT IN I CONTACTED GMC AGAIN AND THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY WOULD OFFER ME A 10% DISCOUNT TO HAVE IT FIXED. I TRIED TO SPEAK TO THEIR SUPERVISOR AND WAS GIVEN THE RUN AROUND AND I GAVE UP. SINCE THEN THE DASHBOARD HAS GOTTEN WORSE AND PIECES OF THE DASH BOARD ARE BREAKING OFF INTO THE DASH. WHEN I PUT MY HAND ON THE DASH IT IS NOT STABLE AS THERE IS A LOT OF MOVEMENT. THE CRACKS ARE ALSO AROUND MY AIRBAG ON THE PASSENGER SIDE IN TWO SPOTS. I'M AFRAID TO LET ANYONE SIT IN THE FRONT SEAT DUE TO THE POSSIBILITY OF THE AIRBAG MALFUNCTIONING DUE TO A COLLAPSE OF THE DASH. THERE ARE PIECES OF THE DASH THAT ARE ALREADY BREAKING OFF ABOVE THE DRIVERS SIDE STEERING WHEEL. I'M AFAID IF THIS SIDE COLLAPES THAT IT COULD CAUSE A FIRE, ENTRAPMENT, ACCIDENT, INJURY AND OR DEATH. I WOULD HOPE THAT YOU UNDERSTAND MY CONCERN OF ME AND MY FAMILIES SAFETY. I WOULD BE HAPPY TO SUPPLY YOU WITH PICTURES OR BRING MY VEHICLE IN FOR INSPECTION. GM TOLD ME THAT THEY HAVEN'T HEARD OF THIS PROBLEM, BUT WHEN I BROUGHT IT INTO THE DEALERSHIP THE SERVICE GUY SAID HE HAD SEEN A FEW LIKE THIS. I HAVE ALSO FOUND A LOT OF PEOPLE ON THE INTERNET THAT ARE HAVING THIS SAME THIS HAPPEN TO THEIR 2007 YUKON OR 2007 TAHOE.
INSIDE DOOR HANDLES ARE PEELING ON DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE DOORS. AS DRIVER OR PASSENGER GET OUT OF THE VEHICLE THE RIDGED PLASTIC BEGINS TO CUT THE SKIN IN A PAPER CUT FASHION. THIS ISSUE STARTED O/A 1.5 YEARS AFTER PURCHASE OF VEHICLE (DEPENDING ON USE). PARTS WERE REPLACED AT THE DEALERSHIP AT CUSTOMERS EXPENSE. OLD PARTS ARE MAINTAINED AT THE DEALERSHIP. *TR
L DID THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER AGAIN AS EVERYONE DOES WHO ENTERS THEIR CAR .. I OPENED THE DOOR HANDLE OF MY 2007 YUKON DENALI, THEN THE LEFT DOOR HANDLE POPPED LOOSE, AT 37K MILES .. THE HANDLE IS ABOUT 60% INTACT .. I CAN OPEN THE DOOR. HOWEVER MUST BE PULLED LIGHTLY.. I CANT AFFORD 250 TO GET IT FIX .. I HAD THIS PROBLEM FOR ABOUT 2 YRS. I M TRYING TO LEARN HOW TO FIX THIS ONLINE AND SAVE MONEY, BUT NOTICED MANY OTHERS 2007 + MODELS ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE .. THANK YOU .. *TR

TRAVELING AT NIGHT, AT 65 MILES AN HOUR IN A 2007 YUKON SLE2 4 DR WAGON, I HIT A STEER (APPROXIMATELY 880LBS). UPON IMPACT, THE BOTTOM OF MY POWER DRIVER'S SEAT MOVED FORWARD AND THE BACK OF THE SEAT TILTED FORWARD, CAUSING ME TO HIT THE STEERING WHEEL. I HAD TO MOVE THE SEAT BACK TO GET OUT OF THE VEHICLE. THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. I REPORTED THE INCIDENT TO THE DEALER, AND MY INSURANCE AGENT BOTH VERBALLY AND IN WRITING. THE VEHICLE HAD OVER $11,000.00 WORTH OF DAMAGE, BUT THE REPAIR CENTER STATED THEY WERE UNABLE TO FIND ANY DAMAGE TO THE SEAT. I TRADED THE VEHICLE IN, AS I DID NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING IT WITH THE SEAT NOT BEING REPLACED OR REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE IS NOW FOR SALE AGAIN, AND I AM FEARFUL THAT SOMEONE ELSE WILL BE IN A WRECK AND THE SEAT WILL MALFUNCTION AGAIN. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THEY ADVISED HIM THAT THE HANDLES WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE DOOR HANDLES WERE REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE RECURRED APPROXIMATELY 6 TIMES ON EACH DOORS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 43,000. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 115,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.

I HAVE A 2007 GMC YUKON AND BOTH INSIDE DOOR HANDLES (FRONT AND PASSENGER) HAVE SPLIT AT THE UPPER SEAM OF HANDLE. THIS CAUSED ME TO CUT MY HAND ON ONE OCCASION DUE TO THE DRIVER SIDE HANDLE. I HAVE SINCE PLACED DUCT TAPE OVER BOTH HANDLES WHERE THE SEAMS HAVE SPLIT, SO THAT NOBODY WILL GET CUT LEAVING THE VEHICLE. VEHICLE IS OUT OF WARRANTY, SO I HAVE NOT TAKEN IT TO A DEALER. *TR

I OWN A 2007 GM YUKON XL. IN OR ABOUT MAY-JUNE OF 2009 THE CAR BEGAN RUNNING BADLY AND SMELLED OF GAS. I RETURNED IT TO THE DEALER (SUN PONTIAC GMC OF WANTAGH, NY) AND THEY SAID THEY CORRECTED THE PROBLEM. IT HAPPENED AGAIN AND TIME AGAIN WITH THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT APPEARING AND ONSTAR CALLS TO SEE IF I WAS OKAY. MANY REPORTS FROM ONSTAR ALSO CONFIRM THIS. AFTER MANY TRIPS TO SUN PONTIAC THEIR SERVICE DEPARTMENT HAD REFUSED TO ISSUE ME A REPAIR ORDER BECAUSE YUKONS WERE HAVING EXPLOSIVE CONDITIONS, ESPECIALLY MINE. I CALLED GM AND THEY SAID THEY NEVER HAD ANY SUCH PROBLEM AND REFERRED ME TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP WHERE THE SAME PROBLEM OCCURRED AGAIN. I WAS ORDERED NOT TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE AND HAVE IT TOWED FROM MY HOME BECAUSE OF THE SAME EXPLOSIVE CONDITION. SINCE JUNE 2009 I HAVE HAD OVER 300 PHONE CONVERSATIONS WITH GM. I PERSONALLY WITNESSED THE ENTIRE REAR END UNDERCARRIAGE OF MY VEHICLE IN PIECES. I HAVE READ AND BEEN TOLD THAT IT WAS A MANUFACTURER DEFECT THAT EVEN AFTER THEY REPLACED HARNESSES, GAS TANKS, TUBES, GAS LINES ETC. IT COULD NOT BE FIXED. THE LAST WORDS OUT OF THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AT SUN WAS THAT " I WOULDN'T DRIVE THAT CAR IF I WERE YOU BECAUSE IT MIGHT BLOW UP". I KNEW THAT GM WOULD NEVER ADMIT TO ANY OF THIS SO I TAPED MOST OF MY CONVERSATIONS WITH ALL OF THEIR HEAD OFFICIALS AND STORED NUMEROUS COPIES WITH TWO SEPARATE ATTORNEY'S, MY FAMILY AND ONE COUSIN WHO WORKS FOR THE MEDIA IN CASE ANYTHING WERE TO HAPPEN. I NOTICED AN APPROXIMATE 4'' CRACK ON MY DASH BETWEEN THE WINDSHIELD AND STEERING WHEEL HUMP. I THEN NOTICED A SIMILAR CRACK EMERGING NEAR THE TOP LEFT PORTION OF THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG. I THOUGHT MAYBE THE EMPLOYEES WHERE I GET MY CAR WASH WERE APPLYING TOO MUCH PRESSURE. HOWEVER, AFTER LOOKING ONLINE TO BUY A NEW DASH, I FOUND THAT I WAS AMONG MANY GMC OWNERS THAT HAVE THE SAME ISSUE. I DONT THINK IT IS A COINCIDENCE THAT WE ALL HAVE THE SAME CRACKS, IN THE SAME LOCATION ON THE DASH. ALSO, THE CHROME PLATING ON BOTH MY DRIVER AND FRONT PASSENGER INNER DOOR HANDLES IS PEELING OFF. I HEARD THAT EXPOSURE TO THE SUN MAY BE A CAUSE, HOWEVER, MY TWO FRONT WINDOWS HAVE HAD 5% TINT ON THEM SINCE I BOUGHT IT. ALSO, I JUST GOT MY VEHICLE BACK FROM THE DEALERSHIP BECAUSE OF CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ISSUES.
