TAKATA RECALL-IT IS SIGNIFICANT TO ME THAT A 2016 NOTICE REGARDING THE SAFETY OF THE AIRBAGS IS STILL LISTED AS "REMEDY NOT AVAILABLE." THIS HAS BEEN OVER ONE YEAR AND A RECALL NEEDS TO TAKE PLACE FOR MY SPECIFIC YEAR, MAKE AND MODEL OF VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE IS BEING DRIVEN EVERYDAY AND EVERY DAY THERE IS WORRY AMONG OUR FAMILY THAT THERE MAY BE AN INJURY DUE TO A DEFECTIVE AIRBAG IN OUR VEHICLE. SOMETHING MUST BE DONE ASAP. NO MORE "REMEDY NOT AVAILABLE" RESPONSE IS ACCEPTABLE. ACT NOW. ISSUE A RECALL WITH A REMEDY.

TAKATA RECALL TAKATA AND GM HAVE FAILED TO PROVIDE A REPLACEMENT AIRBAG FOR MY VEHICLE. A RECALL WAS ISSUED IN 2016.
TL* TAKATA RECALL. THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 GMC YUKON XL. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V381000 (AIR BAGS) OVER A YEAR AGO. THE PARTS TO DO THE REPAIR WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE DEALER (BERG MOTOR COMPANY, 3205 W WALL ST, MIDLAND, TX 79701 (866) 505-4596) WAS CONTACTED AND CONFIRMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE RECALL REMEDY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
TAKATA INFLATORS RECALL WILL NOT BE SATISFIED BY BOERCHERDING GMC. THEY WILL NOT BE RECEIVING PARTS TO FIX PROBLEM.
TATAKA AIRBAG RECALL. I HAVE REC'D NOTICE TO TAKE THIS INTO THE DEALER FOR IMMEDIATE REPAIR DUE TO THE RECALL. IN CALLING THE DEALER, THEY HAVE THE SAFETY WARNING/RECALL FOR THE AIRBAG BUT THERE IS NO REMEDY YET SO CANNOT REPAIR/FIX THIS ISSUE. THIS WARNING/RECALL HAS BEEN IN EFFECT SINCE 5/2016. THE AIRBAG SENSOR WENT ON IN THE VEHICLE WHILE DRIVING ON NORMAL HIGHWAY CONDITIONS AND SPEEDS MID OCTOBER 2017 AND CANNOT BE REPAIRED YET DUE TO NO REMEDY.
THE DASH ON MY 2007 YUKON SLT HAS A CRACK THAT HAS PROGRESSIVELY GOTTEN WORSE RIGHT ABOVE MY DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG.
TAKATA RECALL I CONTACTED MY LOCAL DEALER AND THEY SAID THAT NO PARTS ARE OUT THERE TO FIX MY CAR. I AM ALSO UNABLE TO TRADE THE CAR IN BECAUSE OF THE RECALL. NO DEALER WILL TOUCH IT BECAUSE THE RECALL CAN NOT BE FIXED ANY TIME SOON.

THE CONTACT CALLED HOLZHAUERS AUTO & MOTORSPORTS AT (618) 327-8264 (LOCATED AT 17933 HOLZHAUER AUTOMALL DR SUITE 1, NASHVILLE, IL 62263) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 105,000. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE. *TT*JB
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 GMC YUKON XL. WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH IN INCLEMENT WEATHER, THE CURTAIN AIR BAGS INADVERTENTLY DEPLOYED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT ABRUPTLY DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL AND CRASHED INTO THE CURB. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE NECK AND BACK THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A TOW YARD AND THEN TO SCHUMACHER BUICK GMC OF WEST PALM BEACH (3031 OKEECHOBEE BLVD, WEST PALM BEACH, FL 33409 AT (561) 935-4239) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE AIR BAGS AND THE AIR BAG SENSORS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 137,000.
CRACKS IN DASHBOARD. DIGITAL DISPLAY WENT OUT AND WONT SHOW ANYTHING.
Contacted GM a number of times regarding recall. Told part would have to be ordered, Years went by and not contacted about the part or when the repair would be made.
MY VEHICLE HAS A RECALL ON THE AIRBAGS. MY DEALERSHIP (BRADSHAW AUTOMOTIVE GROUP, GREER, SC) TELLS ME THAT GM WILL SEND THE REPLACEMENT BAGS TO THEM WITH THE VIN # OF THE VEHICLE THAT THE AIR BAGS ARE TO GO IN. I ALSO KNOW THE OLDER MODELS, LIKE MINE, ARE WHERE THE DEATHS ARE HAPPENING. I USE MY CAR FOR WORK AND SOMETIMES EVERY SEAT IS NEEDED. EVEN THOUGHT MY VEHICLE IS A 2007, IT IS IN EXCELLENT SHAPE AND SHOULD HAVE ANOTHER 100,000 MILES TO GO. I LEARNED THAT TAKATA HAS FILED BANKRUPTCY IN JAPAN AND THE US. MY VEHICLE COMES FROM AN AMERICAN COMPANY, NEXT JAPAN. GM WILL HAVE TO REPLACE THE AIRBAGS WITH OR WITHOUT TAKATA, WHY WAIT ON MORE DEATHS.
WARNING BELLS START CHIMING, 5.3 ENGINE WITH AFM STARTS RUNNING ROUGH, SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL, SERVICE SUSPENSION SYSTEM,ABS LIGHTS COME ON. THESE SYMTOMS OCCUR WITHIN SECONDS OF STARTING. DIAGNOSTICS SAYS DIFFERENT THINGS EACH TIME SUCH AS MISFIRES, WORN CAM, ETC. THE ENGINE ONLY HAS 140K MILES. THERE ARE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ON THIS ENGINE. GM DID OFFER NUMEROUS CUSTOMERS REPLACEMENT ENGINES UNDER 150K MILES. I CAN'T GET THE DEALER TO OWN UP TO THIS.

STABILITRACK AND TRACTION CONTROL OFF. WARNING LIGHT COMES ON WHEN BRAKING OR MODERATE STEERING CHANGE. THERE ARE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ONLINE OF THE SAME TYPE OF PROBLEM. OWNERS JUST SPENT $7000.00 IN REPAIRS THAT DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. GM REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE PROBLEM.
TAKATA AIRBAG INFLATORS RECEIVED A CARD BUT WHEN TAKE TO DEALER THEY KEEP SAYING WAITING ON PARTS BEEN WAITING BEFORE I GOT A CARD WHEN RECEIVE ALERT THAT HAD AN ISSUE WITH AIR BAG BECAUSE I'M REGISTERED WITH RECALL NHTSA FOR UPDATE.STILL WAITING. BEEN THERE ON SEVERAL OCCASION.
TAKATA RECALL: THE GMC SERVICE MANAGER REPEATEDLY TOLD ME THAT A REPLACEMENT AIR BAG IS NOT AVAILABLE YET. I WOULD LIKE THE DANGEROUS AIR BAG(S) REMOVED PENDING THE REPLACEMENT. I SENT THE FOLLOW LETTER TO THE GMC DEALER: AUGUST 31, 2017 COLEMAN GMC MR. [XXX], OWNER 100 RENAISSANCE BLVD. LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ 08648 RE: TAKATA AIR BAG RECALL 2007 YUKON-XL, NJ LICENSE [XXX] VIN #[XXX]. DEAR MR. COLEMAN, I WAS ORIGINALLY ASSURED THAT MY YUKON-XL DID NOT CONTAIN A TAKATA AIR BAG. A SUBSEQUENT RECALL IDENTIFIED MY VEHICLE AS CONTAINING THE DEFECTIVE AIR BAG AND I ASKED FOR IT TO BE REPLACED. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT REPRESENTATIVE TOLD ME THAT REPLACEMENT AIR BAGS ARE NOT AVAILABLE AND I WOULD BE CONTACTED WHEN IT COMES AVAILABLE. I HAVE TAKEN THE VEHICLE BACK FOR SERVICE AND AGAIN I AM BEING TOLD THAT THE AIR BAG IS NOT AVAILABLE. I WOULD LIKE THE AIR BAG REMOVED WHILE WE WAIT FOR A REPLACEMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO EWALD CHEVROLET BUICK LOCATED AT 36833 E WISCONSIN AVE, OCONOMOWOC, WI 53066 WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE AIR BAG SENSOR IN THE FRONT BUMPER HAD FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED THE CONTACT NUMBER TO NHTSA. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000.
MY DASH HAS CRACKED AND MY AIR BAG IS STICKING UP I'M AFRAID IF I WRECK IT WILL FLY OUT AND HURT THE PERSON.
MY DASH HAS CRACKED AND IS CAUSING MY PASSAGE AIR BAG TO BE LIFTED UP. VERY CONCERNED THAT MY PASSAGE WILL BE INJURED IN CASE OF AN ACCIDENT. ANOTHER CRACK ON DRIVERS SIDE.

I FEEL THAT IF AN ACCIDENT OCCURS, PIECES OF THE DASH WILL LIKELY CAUSE INJURIES TO THE DRIVER AND POSSIBLE PASSENGERS IN THE VEHICLE SINCE IT IS ALREADY CRACKING. HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR OVER 2 YEARS TO HAVE MY "KILLER" TAKATA AIRBAG REPLACED....
PERSISTENT "TICKING" LIFTER UPON START OF A COLD ENGINE. SLIGHT LOSS OF POWER UNTIL THE ENGINE FINALLY WARMS AND THE TICKING SUBSIDES. THIS PROBLEM OCCURS IN BOTH WARM AND COLD WEATHER BUT IS WORSE DURING COLD WEATHER. WHEN I ASKED THE LOCAL GM DEALER ABOUT A SOLUTION, THEY DESCRIBED A POTENTIAL REPAIR; A BAFFLE MAY BE INSTALLED IN THE OIL PAN TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM OF OIL DRAINING OUT OF THE TOP SIDE OF THE MOTOR. THIS INDICATES TO ME THAT GM HAS RECOGNIZED A DESIGN FLAW IN THIS MOTOR (THE 5.3L WITH ACTIVE FUEL MANAGEMENT AND "FLEXFUEL" OPTION) THOUGH THE DID NOT OFFER TO PERFORM THE REPAIR FOR NO COST.

My dashboard is cracked severely, which can ultimately make my airbag release at any time. It shakes while driving pretty bad

WHEN EXITING HIGHWAY COMING UP TO A STOP SIGN OR STOP LIGHT OR JUST BRAKING, THE ENGINE SHUTS OFF WITH NO WARNING OR SPUTTERING, WHILE STILL ROLLING WITH NO WARNING. THIS USUALLY HAPPENS WHEN PULLING A TRAILER. NO POWER BRAKES OR POWER STEERING. THE ENGINE HAS SHUT OFF 5 TIMES IN THE LAST MONTH AND A HALF AND TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I AM TOLD EVERY TIME "CAN'T DUPLICATE SO AS OF NOW NOTHING IS WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE. I HAVE HAD TO STEER CLEAR OF CAR IN FRONT OF ME SEVERAL TIMES AS TO NOT CRASH. SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE. TOLD BY ED BOZARTH CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP IN COLORADO, THAT SINCE NO CODE WAS PRODUCED AND CAN'T DUPLICATE THE ISSUE, NOTHING THEY CAN DO. TOLD THE PROBLEM IS UNKNOWN. I HAVE SEEN MULTIPLE FORUMS WHERE SAME MAKE AND YEARS ARE HAVING SAME PROBLEM. (TAKATA RECALL) SINCE I PURCHASE THE GMC YUKON I HAVE EXPERIENCE A NUMEROUS ENGINE-ELEC STABILITY CONTROL-AIRBAGS-EVERY TWO WEEKS. I NEED TO ADD ENGINE OIL IS A SAFETY RISK.
TAKATA INFLATORS HAS BEEN RECALLED ON MY VEHICLE AND I CAN NOT FIND A REPLACEMENT.
THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON ALONG WITH THE SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL AND SERVICE STABILITRAC LIGHTS WHILE DRIVING ON THE STREET NEAR HOME. THE TRUCK IMMEDIATELY LOSS POWER AND I HAD TO LIMP BACK HOME. AFTER GETTING THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER, I'M TOLD THAT THE ENGINE HAS A COLLAPSED LIFTER IN CYLINDER SEVEN. I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW AN ENGINE CAN EXPERIENCE THAT TYPE OF FAILURE WITH ONLY 44.000 MILES. I CONTACTED GM AND THEIR STANCE IS REGARDLESS OF LOW MILEAGE, THE VEHICLE IS OUT OF WARRANTEE. THIS ISSUE PRESENTS A SERIOUS HAZARD, BECAUSE A FAILURE LIKE THIS, IF OCCURRED ON A HIGHWAY COULD CAUSE A CATASTROPHIC EVENT WITH THE SUDDEN LOSS OF ENGINE POWER. NOT TO MENTION THE FINANCIAL BURDEN AS IT COST ME $3700 TO HAVE THE ENGINE REPAIRED. IN CHECKING CONSUMER COMPLAINTS, THIS IS NOT AN ISOLATED INCIDENT. THE GM 5.3L ENGINE IS NOTORIOUS FOR THIS MALFUNCTION. BRAKE LINE RUSTED, CAUSED TRAFFIC ACCIDENT AT 30 MPH. BREAKS WERE SERVICED LAST YEAR.

THE SERVICE STABILITRAK LIGHT COMES ON ALONG WITH THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAUSING THE TRUCK TO SHUT OFF OR NOT MOVE. THIS HAS HAPPENED WHILE AM ON THE FREEWAY, CITY STREET AND STOPPED AT A STOP LIGHT. I HAVE TOOK MY TRUCK IN FOR THE SAME PROBLEM MORE THEN FOUR TIMES AND SAME ISSUE KEEPS HAPPENING.

MY 2007 GMC YUKON DENALI HAS A CRACKED DASHBOARD. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THE DASHBOARD HAS CRACKED ON THIS VEHICLE. THE FIRST TIME GM DID CHANGE IT, BUT THEY WONT CHANGE IT NOW BECAUSE THE TRUCK IS OUT OF WARRANTY. I AM VERY VERY CONCERNED ABOUT THIS BECAUSE THE CRACK IS RIGHT AROUND THE PASSENGERS AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT AREA AND I BELIEVE THAT IN CASE OF AN ACCIDENT PLASTIC SHRAPNEL MIGHT HIT THE PASSENGER AND CAUSE EXCESSIVE CUTS TO THE FACE, EYES OR UPPER BODY. I AM EVEN MORE CONCERN BECAUSE THIS IS A FAMILY VEHICLE, MY WIFE SITS ON THE PASSENGERS SIT ALL THE TIME AND I ALSO USE IT TO TAKE MY DAUGHTERS TO SCHOOL, THE NEW CRACK OCCURRED WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. ALL OF THE SUDDEN THE DASHBOARD STARTED RATTLING AND SHAKING HEAVILY. PLEASE HELP...
I'M WRITING THIS AS JUST LIKE LOADS OF OTHER PEOPLE ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. I HAVE BOTH A 07 YUKON DENALI AND AN 07 SILVERADO 2500 BOTH HAVE THE EXACT SAME ISSUE. THE DENALI IS THE WORST. CRACKED DASHBOARD. I'M WORRIED THAT IF I WAS TO HAVE AN ACCIDENT AND THE PASSENGER AIRBAG WAS TO DEPLOY THAT SHARP PIERCES OF THE DASHBOARD WILL GO FLYING TOWARDS THE PEOPLE IN THE VEHICLE. GM REALLY SHOULD BE DOING A RECALL ON THIS AS IT IS A COMMON ISSUE RIGHT THROUGH ALL THE VECHILES THAT SHARE THE SAME DASHBOARD. SEEMS LATELY EVERY WEEK THE CRACKS GET WORSE. I'M WAITING FOR THE DAY THE DASHBOARD FALLS TO PIECES. IT STARTED AROUND APRIL BUT SINCE THEN THE DASH HAS FALLEN TO PIECES SO MUCH SINCE THEN.
