TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 GMC YUKON DENALI XL. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ENGINE MOUNT ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE OF THE VEHICLE BECAME DETACHED. THE CHROME ON THE DOORS WAS ALSO PEELING, WHICH CAUSED THE CONTACT TO GET CUTS ON THE HANDS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A CERTIFIED MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE MOUNT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE PEELING CHROME ON THE DOOR HANDLES WAS NEVER REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 230,000.

CRACKED DASH ABOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AND PASSENGER AIRBAG COULD POTENTIALLY INJURE BY AIRBAG DEPLOYING AND SENDING PLASTIC SHRAPNEL EVERYWHERE.

THE DASH BOARD ON MY 2007 GMC YUKON DENALI IS CRACKED RIGHT ABOVE THE AIR BAG ON THE PASSENGER SIDE AND ABOVE THE INSTRUMENT PANEL ON THE DRIVER SIDE. I FEEL THAT IF THE AIR BAG WAS TO DEPLOY ON THE PASSENGER SIDE WITH COULD BE A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE DUE TO THE FACT THE PLASTIC PIECES FROM DASHBOARD COULD BREAK LOOSE WHILE AIR BAG EXPLODES AND CAUSE MORE INJURY TO THE PASSENGERS OF THE VEHICLE. I FEEL THIS NEED TO BE A SAFETY RECALL FROM GM. THE VEHICLE IS OPERATIONAL AND THE CRACKS HAVE HAPPENED OVER TIME.
MY HEADLIGHTS JUST WENT OUT WHEN DRIVING. MY HIGH BEAM, AND FOG LIGHTS DO WORK, HOWEVER. I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY PASSENGER AIR BAG ON THE RECALL.

WHEN I'M DRIVING AT NIGHT THE LIGHTS FLICKER THIS INCLUDES EVERY LIGHT OUTSIDE BEAMS INSIDE DASH EVERYWHERE. IT HAPPENS WHEN IT'S IN MOTION OR NOT. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD BECAUSE THE FLICKERING IS A DISTRACTION TO OTHER DRIVERS INCLUDING YOURSELF. WHEN FOCUSING ON ROAD ALL OF A SUDDEN THEY START FLICKERING AND IT DISTRACTS EVERYONE DRAMATICALLY. I ALMOST WRECKED TWICE BECAUSE OF THIS AND HAVE TOLD MY DEALER SHIP "TRINITY AUTOMOTIVE" AND THEY HAVE YET TO FIX IT. *TR
DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS AND LOW-BEAM RUNNING LIGHTS SUDDENLY BECAME INOPERABLE ON 1/15/17 (EST. ~150K MILES). THIS WAS NOTICED DURING THE DAY, SO SAFETY RISK WAS MINIMIZED, BUT THE VEHICLE IS NOW INOPERABLE DURING THE EVENING (ALTHOUGH HIGH BEAMS ARE STILL FUNCTIONAL, AS WELL AS PARK/BLINKERS). I REQUESTED INFORMATION TO EVALUATE MY VEHICLE TIME FOR ADDITION TO THE RECALL AND THEY INITIATED A VEHICLE COMPLAINT # 8-2672247033 ON THEIR END. THEY ALSO POINTED ME TO THIS WEBSITE TO FILE WITH NHSP, SO THAT I COULD FILE THIS NOTICE TO BETTER DETERMINE IF THIS RECALL SHOULD BE EXPANDED TO OTHER GMC MODELS WITHIN 2005-2009. I NEED TO VERIFY IF THE PN# FOR MY HEADLAMP DRIVER MODULE (HDM) IS ALSO [13506836]. P.S. DASH COVER CRACKS AND EVENTUALLY DISINTEGRATED. ALL DEALERS KNOW ABOUT THIS PROBLEM. THE DASH PIECES THEMSELVES CAN BECOME PROJECTILES IN AN ACCIDENT. THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN PARKED UNDER A CAR PORT MOST OF THE TIME WE HAVE OWNED IT.
GRADUAL COOLANT LOSS OVER TIME WITH NO EVIDENCE OF LEAK FOUND. TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAID THAT THE HEAD WAS POROUS. MY EXTENDED INSURANCE IS NOT HONORING THE CLAIM BECAUSE GM HAS A BULLETIN #06-06-01-019B. THE CYLINDER HEAD ASSEMBLY HAS A DEFECTED CASTING MANUFACTURED BY CASTECH. WHY NO RECALL?

CRACK IN DASH, DRIVER'S SIDE.
LAST YEAR I REPORTED AIRBAG LIGHT COMING ON WHILE DRIVING, AND I READ ON GMC SITE AS TO WHAT COULD HAPPEN IF AN ACCIDENT SHOULD HAPPEN, THEY DID INFORM ME THAT ONCE THEY RECEIVED PARTS AT THE DEALERSHIP THEY WOULD CONTACT ME TO REPAIR, NOW THEY INDICATE THEY ARE NOT SURE ABOUT THE PROBLEM. MY CONCERN IS SOMEONE IN MY CAR AND AN ACCIDENT AND THE INJURY THIS COULD CAUSE SOMEONE. I HAVE CALLED SEVERAL TIMES AND I FEEL THAT I AM BEING MISLEAD ON FIXING THE PROBLEM.

HAVE A YUKON AND THE DASH BOARD IS CRACKED AT BOTH SIDES OF AIRBAG ON PASSENGER SIDE AND ABOVE THE GAUGE CLUSTER.THE PLASTIC IS VERY BRITTLE AND MY CONCERNS IS IF THERE WAS EVER A CAR WRECK AND THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED IT WOULD SEND PLASTIC PROJECTILES THROUGHOUT VEHICLE WHICH THE VEHICLE IS USED TO CARRY MY 1 AND 2 YEAR OLD CHILDREN DAILY.I FEEL THIS SHOULD BE A DEFECT OR A RECALL CONSIDERING ALMOST ALL THESE VEHICLES ALL CRACK IN THE SAME SPOT I FEEL IT WAS A POOR DESIGN BY GMC AND AT OVER 1000 DOLLARS TO HAVE IT FIXED IS JUST CRAZY . MY STABITITY TRAC CONTROL LOT POPPED ON, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT AND NOW MY LOW OIL PRESSURE LIGHT POPPED ON SAYING STOP ENGINE.

I WAS ALSO TOLD THAT EVEN IF THEY COULD DO SOMETHING THE PART WAS NO LONGER AVAILABLE-- I CALLED THE SAME DEALERSHIPS PARTS DEPARTMENT AND GUESS WHAT I COULD GET THE REPLACEMENT THE NEXT DAY!! CALLED THE 800 NUMBER TO LET THEM KNOW--THEY SAID SORRY YOU WHERE TOLD THAT BUT STILL WE CAN NOT DO ANYTHING FOR YOU. I PROCEEDED TO ASK IF THEY THOUGHT A DASH SHOULD ONLY LAST 5 YEARS, TO WHICH SHE SAID NO BUT STILL COULD NOT HELP ME. I HAVE OWN A CHEVY TAHOE, A CHEVY SUBURBAN AND NUMEROUS CHEVY VEHICLES- I THINK WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE LIKE THERES IT IS TIME TO TAKE MY MONEY ELSE WHERE!

MY 2007 YUKON DASH CONTINUES TO CRACK. I HAVE HAD DASH FIXED IN THE PAST AND ALWAYS PUT MY AUTO UNDER CARPORT OR USE SUN SHADES. MY DASH HAS CONTINUED TO CRACK AND IS NOW CRACKED WHERE PASSENGER AIRBAG IS.
DASH BOARD CRACKED BY THE RIGHT PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG, AND THEN CRACKED OVER THE BACK SIDE OF THE DRIVER SIDE INSTRUMENT PANEL. WE ALWAYS USE A HEAT SHIELD IN THE SUMMER AT WORK, BUT VEHICLE STAYS IN THE GARAGE WHEN NOT DRIVEN. I HAVE NOTICED THAT THIS SEEMS TO BE A PROBLEM WITH GMC SUV'S
TAKATA RECALL GM SENT OUT THE RECALL AND NOW MY SUV IS THROWING A ERROR CODE OF SERVICE AIRBAG WITH THE AIRBAG LIGHT ON. THEY DON'T WANT TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS CODE. THEY WANT US TO SPEND OUR MONEY TO FIND OUT THAT IT'S THEIR RECALL ISSUE. IN THE RECALL IT STATES "TAKATA AIRBAG INFLATORS CAN DEGRADE OVER TIME, ESPECIALLY AFTER LONG TERM EXPOSURE IN HOT AND HUMID REGIONS. IF THE PROPELLANT DEGRADES TO A CERTAIN LEVEL, THE INFLATORS MAY RUPTURE DURING DEPLOYMENT, CAUSING SERIOUS OR FATAL INJURIES." THIS IS A HUGE CONCERN TO MY FAMILY OF 5. GM NEEDS TO TAKE COMPLETE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR RECALL AND GET IT FIXED! WE ASKED THE GM REPRESENTATIVE IF WE GET INTO AN ACCIDENT AND THE AIRBAG FAILS TO WORK PROPERLY THEN WILL GM BE RESPONSIBLE? HE BEAT AROUND THE BUSH ABOUT IT. HE THEN SAID WELL TRY NOT TO GET INTO AN ACCIDENT RIGHT NOW. THAT IS ADMITTING TO ME THAT IT'S UNSAFE. HE WOULDN'T ANSWER ANY OF OUR QUESTIONS. HE COULDN'T TELL US WHEN OUR VEHICLE COULD BE FIXED. HE JUST KEPT TELLING US THAT WE NEEDED TO SPEND OUR MONEY AND TAKE IT TO OUR DEALER TO HAVE IT CHECKED. WE KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. IT SOUNDS TO ME LIKE THEY'RE JUST TRYING TO TAKE OUR MONEY.
CRACKED DASH
TAKATA RECALL, CRACKS IN THE DASH THAT RUN TO THE AIR BAGS ON THE DASH. THE CENTER SPEAKER IS MOUNTED TO THE PLASTIC DASH AND MOVE WITH THE ROAD VIBRATION WHICH BREAKS THE DASH ALONG WITH THE UV RADIATION THAT WEAKENS THE PLASTIC.. THE DASH COULD SPLINTER IN A CRASH AND WOUND OR KILL A PASSENGER.
A LARGE CRACK APPEARED ON MY DASHBOARD ON SEPTEMBER 3, 2016, RIGHT ABOVE THE STEERING WHEEL COLUMN. I USED SUPER GLUE TO TRY AND KEEP THE CRACK FROM GETTING LARGER. ANOTHER, SMALLER, CRACK OPENED UP ON THE PASSENGER SIDE ON NOVEMBER 7, 2016, RIGHT ABOVE THE AIRBAG.
TAKATA RECALL .... MY YUKON DENALI DASH HAS VERY BAD CRACKS FROM THE PASSENGER AIRBAG TO THE SPEEDOMETER AREA. THESE CRACKS RUN COMPLETELY THROUGH THE DASH MATERIAL, AND ARE "BANGING" WHENEVER THE VEHICLE GOES OVER A BUMP. I AM VERY CONCERNED THAT THIS BUMPING AND RATTLING AROUND COULD SET OFF THE PASSENGER AIR BAG, WHICH WOULD SEND SHRAPNEL THROUGHOUT THE CABIN. SINCE THE PASSENGER AIR BAG HAS THE TAKATA INFLATOR, IT IS MORE CONCERNING. I HAVE CALLED THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES ABOUT THIS, BUT THEY CONTINUE TO SAY THEY CAN NOT DO ANYTHING. SINCE THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN MIAMI, FLORIDA SINCE IT WAS PURCHASED, WITH VERY HIGH HUMIDITY, I WOULD THINK THIS WOULD BE A PRIORITY FIX!!
TAKATA AIRBAGS THAT ARE DEFECTIVE, ARE STILL NOT CORRECTED. I PAY $539 A MONTH FOR A CAR PAYMENT AND WE CAN'T DRIVE THE CAR. MY WIFE AND KIDS AND MYSELF ARE TOO SCARED TO GET IN THE CAR.
TAKATA RECALL - CONTACTED SEWELL GM IN DALLAS ABOUT THE RECALL NOTICE I RECEIVED ON THE TAKATA AIRBAGS, I WAS TOLD THAT THEY DID NOT HAVE PARTS TO REPAIR THE AIRBAGS UNTIL 2018. I PLACED THIS CALL IN AUGUST 2016.

THIS SUMMER MY DASHBOARD SEVERELY CRACKED IN MULTIPLE PLACES. IT IS SO BADLY CRACKED I CANNOT IMAGINE HOW IT DOESN'T POSE A SAFETY RISK.
