INSTRUMENT PANEL IS GOING OUT, ONE INSTRUMENT AT A TIME. FIRST SHOWING LOW OIL PRESSURE, STABILITRAK WARNING, CHECK ENGINE, NOW IT IS THE RPM GAUGE THAT ISN'T SHOWING ANYTHING. ALSO HAVE A HUGE CRACK IN THE TOP OF THE DASHBOARD THAT'S BEEN THERE FOR ABOUT 5-6 YEARS. I'VE SEEN ONLINE COMPLAINTS OFF THIS ISSUE.

CRACK AT BACK OF DASHBOARD WHERE IT MEETS PASSENGER AIR BAG
TAKATA RECALL. WE RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FROM GMC IN JULY 2016. THEY STILL DO NOT HAVE PARTS TO REPAIR THIS RECALL. HOW CAN THEY MAKE AN ENTIRE YEAR'S WORTH OF NEW CARS AND STILL NOT BE ABLE TO MAKE CURRENTLY OWNED CARS SAFE. THIS KIND OF DELAY IS UNACCEPTABLE, ESPECIALLY SINCE IT CAN LEAD TO DEATH.
MY DASH BOARD IS CRACKED
DASH HAS CRACKED IN 3 PLACES. SAFETY CONCERN BECAUSE TWO OF THEM ARE BY THE AIR BAG. AFRAID IF IT EVER DEPLOYS PIECES WILL FLY AND COULD CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY.

TAKATA RECALL AND DASHBOARD CRACKED IN MANY PLACES AND STILL DEVELOPING NEW CRACKS. CAN NOT FIND A DASHBOARD REPLACEMENT AT ALL IN THE COLOR NEEDED. WE RECEIVED A NOTICE DATED JULY 2016 FOR AIRBAG RECALL BUT NOT TO BRING IT IN UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. STILL WAITING. ALSO THE DASH IS JUST GETTING MORE AND MORE CRACKS EVEN WITH A DASHBOARD VELOUR COVER. PLEASE HELP US.

I HAVE RECEIVED PAPERWORK JULY 2016 STATING THAT MY INFLATORS ARE DEFECTIVE ACCORDING TO TAKATA. THE WORDING STATES THEIR DEFECTIVE OPERATION DUE TO DEGRADATION COULD RESULT IN "RUPTURE DURING DEPLOYMENT, CAUSING SERIOUS OR FATAL INJURIES." ON THE SAME NOTICE, GM STATES THEY WILL NOTIFY ME WHEN PARTS ARE AVAILABLE. THEY ALSO STATE MY VEHICLE IS "SAFE TO DRIVE". FIRST OF ALL, THIS IS RIDICULOUS THAT GM IS ALLOWED TO COVER THEMSELVES BY SENDING OUT SUCH A CONTRADICTORY LETTER. I HAVE FOLLOWED UP IN JULY 2016, OCTOBER 2016, AND NOW AUG. 2017. I AM CONTINUALLY TOLD THERE IS NO PROBLEM, BUT THERE ARE ALSO NO PARTS AVAILABLE YET FOR A REPAIR......... NOW, IN AN ATTEMPT TO SELL THE VEHICLE, POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS ARE LOOKING UP THE VIN, SEEING THIS RELATED INFORMATION AND TELLING ME THEY CAN'T BUY IT FROM ME WITHOUT ME REPAIRING IT, OR THEY CAN'T PAY NEAR MY ASKING PRICE. SO..... I HAVE A VEHICLE MY WIFE DOESN'T LIKE TO DRIVE, I CAN'T FIX IT BECAUSE THE DEALER SAYS THERE ARE NO PARTS AND THEY AREN'T REQUIRED TO DO ANYTHING YET BECAUSE NHTSA IS GIVING THEM MORE TIME, AND I CAN'T EASILY SELL THE VEHICLE BECAUSE IT COMES UP ON THIS LISTING IN A VIN SEARCH REGARDLESS OF WHETHER IT IS SAFE TO DRIVE OR NOT. TAKATA RECALL RECEIVED RECALL NOTIFICATION IN JULY 2016 YET TO DATE THEY HAVE NOT BEEN REPLACED. THE LETTER STATES THE MANUFACTURE DEEMS THEM UNSAFE. WHY HAVE THEY NOT BEEN REPLACED. OTHER CAR COMPANIES HAVE COMPLETED THE REPLACEMENT PROCESS.
AFTER RECEIVING A TAKATA AIRBAG RECALL NOTICE, I CONTACTED JACK WILSON GMC TWICE REQUESTING THAT ALL TAKATA INFLATORS BE REMOVED FROM MY VEHICLE AND THEY REFUSED. GMC SAID THEY WOULD CONTACT ME WHEN THEY HAD REPLACEMENT PARTS, BUT HAVE NOT. I TOLD THEM I DID NOT CARE IF NO PARTS WERE AVAILABLE OR IF I HAD WORKING AIRBAGS, BUT I WANTED THE DANGEROUS INFLATORS OUT! THEY SAID NO.
GMC SENT A TAKATA AIR BAG RECALL NOTICE IN JULY 2016. AS OF OCT 2017, NO REMEDY HAS BEEN MADE.
TAKATA RECALL: MY LOCAL GM DEALER REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR REPAIRING MY DEFECTIVE AIRBAG. I HAVE CONTACTED THEM MULTIPLE TIMES, AND THEY SAY THEY CURRENTLY HAVE NO REMEDY FOR THE RECALL. I GUESS THE FACT THAT MY AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT IS ON IS A PURE COINCIDENCE, AS WELL. I JUST RECEIVED A SECOND NOTICE THAT TAKATA, THE AIRBAG MANUFACTURING COMPANY IS NOW FILING CHAPTER 11 BANKRUPTCY. THE NOTICE SAYS TO IMMEDIATELY CONTACT MY CAR'S MANUFACTURER TO HAVE THE PROBLEM REMEDIED. I FEEL LIKE THIS WILL BE A LOST CAUSE CONSIDERING THEY WANT TO CHARGE ME $112 TO DIAGNOSE MY VEHICLE'S AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT. JUST ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF GM'S "IMPECCABLE" SERVICE. I FEEL LIKE WE'RE STUCK BETWEEN A ROCK AND A HARD PLACE AND MY FAMILY'S LIVES ARE AT STAKE. WE ALSO HAD AN INFINITI WITH THE SAME PROBLEM AND THEY PROMPTLY AND PROFESSIONALLY HANDLED THE SITUATION. THIS HAS NOT BEEN MY EXPERIENCE WITH GM.

I RECEIVED A LETTER OVER A YEAR AGO FROM GMC, IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL. WHEN I CONTACTED THE LOCAL DEALER THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT HELP GET THIS REPAIR DONE. I WAITED ANOTHER YEAR AND RECEIVED A POSTCARD FROM WHAT LOOKS LIKE TO BE TK HOLDINGS, IT DIRECTIONS ARE TO GO TO THIS WEBSITE FOR ARRANGEMENTS TO GET YOUR CAR FIXED AND WHEN I DO THAT, IT SAYS THAT MATTERS ARE NOT RESOLVED BETWEEN GMC AND TK HOLDINGS. MEANWHILE, THERE IS A POTENTALLY SERIOUS ON MY VEHICLE.
TAKATA RECALL, I RECEIVED A NOTICE IN JANUARY OF 2016 THAT THE INFLATORS IN MY 2007 YUKON NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND THAT I SHOULD CONTACT THE LOCAL DEALER TO SETUP AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE THIS DONE. I CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP IN JANUARY OF 216, DECEMBER OF 2017, JUNE OF 2017 AND EACH TIME WAS TOLD PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE AND I WOULD BE CONTACTED ONCE THEY WERE AVAILABLE. I SUBSEQUENTLY RECEIVED NOTIFICATION THAT THE AIRBAG COMPANY WAS GOING INTO BANKRUPTCY. I AGAIN CONTACTED THE DEALER IN JANUARY OF 2018 WHO ADVISED ME THAT THEY HAD NO INFORMATION. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON NOW FOR NEARLY TWO YEARS WITH NO RESOLUTION.

THEY SAY TO FILE A COMPLAINT, SO NOW I AM HERE. EVERYONE HAD BETTER PRAY THAT NO INJURIES OR DEATHS OCCUR AS A RESULT OF AIRBAG (S) FAILURE OR EXPLOSIONS DURING THIS INDEFENSIBLE DELAY IN REPAIRING THE PROBLEM. GENERAL MOTORS SENT ME A RECALL LETTER WITH A RECALL # OF 49151 BACK IN JULY OF 2016. THIS ADDRESSED A DEFECTIVE TAKATA AIRBAG WHICH COULD DEPLOY AND KILL MYSELF OR A FAMILY MEMBER OR CAUSE TERRIBLE INJURIES TO ANYONE IN CLOSE PROXIMITY OF THE DEFECTIVE AIRBAGS. I HAVE CALLED GENERAL MOTORS APPROX. (6) TIMES AND I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY SATISFACTORY RESULTS THAT WOULD RESOLVE THE AIRBAG PROBLEM OR TO REPAIR THE DEFECTIVE AIRBAG. 2 CRACKS IN THE DASHBOARD OF MY 2007 GMC YUKON DENALI - BETWEEN THE SPEAKER AND PASSENGER AIRBAG AND ABOVE THE STEERING WHEEL. IT ALSO MAKES A SQUEAKY RATTLING NOISE WHILE I AM DRIVING AS THE BROKEN PIECES BOUNCE. I DID NOTHING TO BREAK IT, IT CRACKED ON ITS OWN.
