THE DASH IS CRACKED AND BROKEN IN MULTIPLE PLACES ON BOTH SIDES OF THE DASH. MOST CONCERNING IS THE CRACK NEXT TO THE AIRBAG PANEL. IF THE AIRBAG WERE TO DEPLOY, WILL IT STILL WORK, AND WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THE DASH WHEN IT EXPLODES OUT. THE CRACK WAS FIRST NOTICED LAST FALL AND JUST GOTTEN WORSE SINCE THEN.
WHILE DRIVING TODAY AT A SPEED OF 55 MPH IN SOMEWHAT HEAVY TRAFFIC MY SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL AND STABILITRACK INDICATOR CAME ON AS WELL AS A MESSAGE ON THE DASH SAYING THE SAME. AT WHICH TIME MY VEHICLE CAME TO SLOW DOWN AND I LOST POWER. I PULLED OVER AND AND SHUT THE CAR DOWN AND UPON RESTART NOTICED THAT NOT ONLY DID WHITE SMOKE COME FROM MY EXHAUST BUT THE CAR HAD A ROUGH IDLE THE SAME INDICATORS WERE STILL ON AND THE ENGINE LIGHT HAD NOW COME ON AS WELL AND WAS FLASHING. I WAS ABLE TO MAKE IT HOME WITH A ROUGH LIMP HOWEVER WHEN I CAME TO A STOP FELT AS THOUGH THE CAR WAS HESITANT TO KEEP RUNNING OR TAKE OFF. WHEN APPLYING GAS THERE WAS A THUMP FROM THE REAR WHEELS LIKE THE TRANSMISSION WAS NOT SURE HOW TO ENGAGE.
THIS IS ANOTHER INCIDENT THAT OCCURRED THE SAME WEEK AS MY LAST COMPLAINT. WHILE DRIVING HOME FROM LUNCH I SLOWED THE VEHICLE AS I WAS GOING DOWN A HILL, THIS DID NOT REQUIRE ANY USE OF THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. UPON SLOWING DOWN MY VEHICLE DISPLAYED THE FOLLOWING MESSAGES: "SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL", "SERVICE STABILITRACK", "REDUCED ENGINE POWER". THE SUV WOULD NOT ACCELERATE OVER 15MPH REQUIRING MY TO PULL TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE VEHICLE SHOOK VIOLENTLY UNTIL I WAS ABLE TO PUT IT IN PARK AND TURN OFF THE ENGINE. AFTER 10 MINUTES OF SITTING ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD I STARED THE ENGINE AGAIN. THE SUV STARTED RIGHT UP BUT THE "CHECK ENGINE" LIGHT REMAINED ON UNTIL THE FOLLOWING DAY. ENGINE CODES LEAD TO A FAULTY THROTTLE BODY POSITION SENSOR WHICH WAS REPLACED AFTER THE INCIDENT ON 7/13. I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO THE GMC DEALER TODAY WHO INFORMED ME OF THE SAME PROBLEM YET AGAIN. THESE ARE EITHER BAD PARTS OR A SOME BIGGER GM ISSUE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 GMC YUKON XL 1500 EQUIPPED WITH DEFINITY DAKOTA H/T TIRES, SIZE: P265/70R17. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH ON A WET ROAD, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED AND THE CONTACT LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT EXITED THE VEHICLE AND OBSERVED THAT THE TREAD SEPARATED FROM ALL FOUR OF THE TIRES. THE TIRES WERE NOT REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE VEHICLE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 169,000 AND THE TIRE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 20,000.
WHILE DRIVING TO WORK ON THE INTERSTATE I APPROACHED SLOW MOVING TRAFFIC. UPON SLOWING DOWN MY VEHICLE DISPLAYED THE FOLLOWING MESSAGES: "SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL", "SERVICE STABILITRACK", "REDUCED ENGINE POWER". THE SUV WOULD NOT ACCELERATE OVER 15MPH REQUIRING MY TO PULL TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE VEHICLE SHOOK VIOLENTLY UNTIL I WAS ABLE TO PUT IT IN PARK AND TURN OFF THE ENGINE. AFTER 10 MINUTES OF SITTING ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD I STARED THE ENGINE AGAIN. THE SUV STARTED RIGHT UP BUT THE "CHECK ENGINE" LIGHT REMAINED ON. THIS WAS A TERRIFYING EXPERIENCE ON A BUSY STRETCH OF HWY 88 OUTSIDE OF CHICAGO. I HOPE OTHERS DO NOT HAVE TO GO THROUGH THIS EXPERIENCE.
I'VE HAD THIS RECALL FOR MY 2007 GMC YUKON FOR THE AIRBAG. THEY STATED THERE IS NEW REMEDY RIGHT NOW. ITS BEEN AT LEAST 5 YEARS. ITS FOR THE TAKATA AIR BAG INFLATORS. CAN YOU HELP ME OUT. I HAVE A VERY HARD TIME WHY THEY DONT HAVE A FIX YET. THEY ARE JUST SCREWING AROUND THRYING TO SAVE MONEY.
CHROME IS COMING OFF THE WHEELS CAUSING TIRES TO LEAK AIR. ALL FOUR OUTSIDE DOOR HANDLES BROKE OFF DUE TO A WEAK PLASTIC DESIGN.

DASH CRACKING ABOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND AROUND PASSENGER AIRBAG. IF AIRBAG WERE TO BE DEPLOYED SHARP PLASTIC COULD INHIBIT AIRBAG OR COULD INJURE PASSENGER THIS IS A VERY WIDESPREAD ISSUE IN ALL YUKON, TAHOE, SUBURBAN, SILVERADO AND SIERRA TRUCKS OF THE 07-12 MODEL YEARS.
MY FRONT DASHBOARD IS CRACKING IN 2 PLACES ON BOTH THE PASSENGER AND DRIVERS SIDE. FIRST NOTICED WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY.
DURING NORMAL USE ON OPENING THE REAR LIFT DOOR OPEN AND 1/3 OF THE WAY, IT STOPPED AND SLAMMED VERY HARD THAT THE WINDOW ABOVE LATCH RELEASED AND POPPED OPEN. I'VE CHECKED ALL THE SECURITY SETTING BUT TO DATE, THE DOOR DOES NOT OPEN PASS 1/3 OF THE WAY. LUCKILY THERE WERE NO FINGERS ANYWHERE AROUND THE DOOR. THIS COULD POTENTIALLY CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY IF ONE IS NOT EXPECTING THE DOOR WILL SLAM SHUT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 GMC YUKON. WHILE DRIVING 15 MPH, THE LOW BEAM LIGHTS FAILED TO ILLUMINATE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 109,000.
FRONT DASH ON THE VEHICLE HAS CRACKED AROUND THE AIR BAGS. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN. IF THE AIR BAGS DEPLOY, THE CRACKED PLASTIC WILL ACT AS SHRAPNEL, CAUSING SERIOUS DAMAGE.
DASH AROUND AIRBAG CRACKED AND PRESENTS SAFETY HAZARD FROM PLASTIC SHRAPNEL IF AIRBAG DEPLOYS ALSO DASH CRACKS AROUND INSTRUMENT PANEL CAN CAUSE SHRAPNEL TO BE LAUNCHED INTO OCCUPANTS CAUSING BODILY HARM. CRACKS HAPPEN WHILE VEHICLE STATIONARY
THE DASHBOARD ON MY 2007 GMC YUKON DENALI HAS CRACKED IN 2 PLACES- ABOVE THE STEERING WHEEL AND NEAR THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 GMC YUKON. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED, THE CONTACT NOTICED MULTIPLE FRACTURES ACROSS THE DASHBOARD. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE DASHBOARD NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 170,000.
THE AIRBAG RECALL WAS INITIATED 5/27/16. TAKATA NOTIFIED DRIVERS 6/25/17 UPON THEIR FILING FOR BANKRUPTCY. I HAVE BEEN CALLING THE GMC DEALERSHIP IN MY HOMETOWN WHERE I PURCHASED THE CAR SINCE SEPTEMBER 2017. TODAY AGAIN THEY TELL ME THEY DO NOT HAVE THE REPLACEMENT FOR THIS DEFECTIVE AIRBAG. THEY ARE WEISNER GMC DEALER IN HUNTSVILLE TX TELEPHONE 936-291-7500. WHAT MORE CAN I DO??? WHAT GOOD IS A RECALL NOTICE REQUIRED BY THE COMPANY SENT TO DRIVERS/OWNERS BY TK HOLDINGS, INC. OF MONROE, WI IF NOTHING IS DONE TO REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE PART??? PLEASE ADVISE WHAT ELSE I CAN DO AS A TAXPAYER, DRIVER, CITIZEN, BEFORE I AM A VICTIM??? THE CHROME IS ALSO PEELING ON MY DOOR HANDLES. SUMMER OF 2015, I REPLACED THE INSIDE DRIVERS DOOR HANDLE DUE TO A BROKEN BOLT. LASTLY MY AIRBAG LIGHT HAS BEEN ON WITH NO DIAGNOSES (~3 MONTHS).
THE INSIDE OF THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR HANDLE CROME HAS PEELED AWAY CAUSING A SHAPE EDGE. THERE HAS BEEN A SPECIAL COVERAGE ADJUSTMENT ISSUED BY GMC IN BULLETIN NO: 09239A BUT WAS TOLD MY VEHICLE WAS NOT COVERED. I AM HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM BUT THEY WILL NOT COVER IT DUE TO MY VIND NOT BEING INCLUDED IN THIS SPECIAL COVERAGE ADJUSTMENT. I FEEL MY VEHICLE SHOULD BE COVERED DUE TO THE FACT THAT IT IS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. THE OUTSIDE OF THE SAME DOOR HANDLE HAS PULLED AWAY FROM THE VEHICLE AND BOLT HAS PULLED OUT OF THE FRAME. I THINK GM NEEDS TO STEP UP AND TAKE CARE OF THESE ISSUES ON ALL THERE VEHICLES NOT JUST WHO EVER THEY CHOOSE!! I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER GMC VEHICLE AGAIN! AFTER MANY HOURS OF RESEARCH I FOUND SEVERAL OTHER CUSTOMERS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM! WHEN I CALLED TO MAKE APPT TO HAVE IT FIXED EVEN THE DEALER INFORMED ME THAT IT WAS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THEIR VEHICLES! IF THE DEALERS KNOW THERE IS AN ISSUE IM SURE GM IS AWARE A RECALL SHOULD BE ISSUED THEIR JUST WATING TO SEE HOW LONG THEY CAN GET AWAY WITH IT!!
MULTIPLE CRACKS ALONG THE DASH WHERE THE AIRBAGS ARE LOCATED
I WILL BE DRIVING AND MY TRUCK WILL JUST LOSE POWER. I PUSH ON THE GAS PEDAL AND IT GOES NO WHERE. I HAVE TO COAST OFF THE HIGHWAY AND THEN I CAN STOP AND TURN IT OFF FOR A FEW MINUTES THEN START IT BACK UP WITH THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON. I HAVE CHANGED THE TPS 2 TIMES, THE ENTIRE THROTTLE BODY, AND THE MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR AND IT'S STILL DOING IT.
THE SEATBELT FEMALE RECEPTACLE ON THE DRIVER'S SEAT WILL NOT ACCEPT THE MALE END WITHOUT DEPRESSING THE SEATBELT BUCKLE RELEASE BUTTON. *TR
TRAVELING AT ABOUT 25 MPH IN A RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOOD, THE ENGINE AND STABILITRAK LIGHTS CAME ON AND POWER ABRUPTLY CUT OUT. LUCKILY NO ONE WAS BEHIND ME AND I WAS SAFELY ABLE TO PULL TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. I CAN ONLY IMAGE WHAT MIGHT HAVE HAPPENED IF THIS HAD OCCURRED ON A BUSY FREEWAY OR A CROWDED INTERSECTION. *TR
STERRING WHEEL HEATER BECAME VERY HOT THEN BLEW FUSE. I WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE THOUGH I HAD ONLY GONE A FEW MILES FROM MY HOME. I WAS ON A CITY STREET GOING ABOUT 40 MILES PER HOUR BUT NOT TURNING SHARPLY. I HAVE NOTHING TO PHOTO.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE DASHBOARD NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 81,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
SOMETIMES THE SEAT BELT ON THE DRIVER SIDE LOCKS AND I CANT USE IT. I TRY TO OPEN THE DOOR AND PULL THE SEATBELT AND IT WILL NOT UNLOCK. I SOMETIMES HAVE TO DRIVE WITHOUT A SEATBELT. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 GMC YUKON. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH, THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 180,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
I AM WRITING TO INFORM A SAFETY HAZARD ISSUE WITH MY 2007 GMC, YUKON. OVER THE PAST COUPLE OF YEARS A CRACK HAS FORMED OVER THE METER COMBO. SINCE THAT CRACK HAS FORMED, IT HAS CAUSED A PIECE OF THE DASH TO BREAK OUT. THE CRACKS IN DASH HAVE ALSO CAUSED VIBRATION OF THE DASH AND HAS CAUSED TWO OTHER CRACKS IN THE DASH TO APPEAR AROUND THE PASSENGER AIRBAG. I AM CONCERNED IN THE EVENT THAT AN ACCIDENT DOES OCCUR THAT THE DASH WILL CRUMBLE/BREAK IN THE DRIVER/PASSENGER FACE. THIS COULD CAUSE VERY LIFE THREATENING INJURIES. PLEASE CONSIDER REPORTING THIS TO GMC DEALERS FOR FURTHER INVESTIGATION OF THESE DASHES AND CONSIDER A RECALL.
I HAVE A VEHICLE WITH A RIDE PACKAGE CALLED PREMIUM SMOOTH RIDE WITH A GM FACTORY CODE "ZW7". BOTH GM AND GM DEALERSHIPS HAVE A CATALOG ISSUE THAT RESULTED IN ME BUYING AN INCORRECT AND DANGEROUS REAR SHOCK. I HAVE WORKED FOR 6 MONTHS TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE AND HAVE A VEHICLE DANGEROUS TO DRIVE AS THE REPLACEMENT PART REFERRED BY GM IS INCORRECT. THE OEM MANUFACTURER (SACHS) IN FRANCE HAS CONCURRED THAT GM IS AT FAULT. GM IS HAVING CONSUMERS PUT ON A FACTORY REPLACEMENT PART INCORRECT FOR VEHICLE AND WILL NOT ALLOW ME TO SPEAK WITH ANYONE WITHIN GM TO RESOLVE THE MATTER. I HAVE IT WELL DOCUMENTED AND IT HAS ALSO BEEN AN ISSUED FOR YUKON OWNERS WITH THE "PREMIUM SMOOTH RIDE" OPTION. SACHS IN FRANCE PROVIDED GM WITH A FACTORY SHOCK WITH "NIVOMAT" TECHNOLOGY THAT SHARED THE RIDE LOAD WITH THE REAR SPRINGS. SACHS HAS SINCE DISCONTINUED THE PRODUCT AND AS SUCH NO REPLACEMENT PART CAN BE BOUGHT. A CHANGE OF BOTH THE SPRINGS AND SHOCKS MUST BE DONE AND GM REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE REQUIREMENT OR OFFER A SOLUTION. INSTEAD THEY SEND DRIVERS DOWN THE ROAD WITH A DANGEROUS RIDE SET UP. WHEN WE DROVE OUR VEHICLE AFTER USING THE GM RECOMMENDED SHOCKS, IT RODE VERY ROUGH AND WHEN WE GOT UP TO SPEED IT ACTUALLY BOUNCED AROUND ON THE HIGHWAY AND WAS DIFFICULT TO KEEP ON THE ROAD.
I OWN A 2007 YUKON DENALI AND HAVE HAD THE DASH CRACK BY THE PASSENGER AIR BAG AND BY THE DRIVERS CONSOLE I WENT TO GMC AND THEY SAT SO SORRY NOTHING WE CAN DO AS I STATED TO THEM IT WILL AFFECT MY AIR BAG GOING OFF THEY DIDN'T SEEM TO CARE
DASHBOARD CRACK BEHIND STEERING WHEEL, AT BOTTOM/BASE OF THE HUMP. CRACK EXTENDS FROM SEAM TOWARD DRIVER. THIS VEHICLE IS PARKED EVERY DAY AND NIGHT IN OUR GARAGE.
DASH BOARD CRACKED AROUND AIR BAG 3/2/15 THE A WEEK LATER A MAJOR CRACK OVER THE STEERING WHEEL. GM SAY'S PART IS NOT AVAILABLE. CALL DEALERSHIP DID THAT DEALERSHIP CANT GET PART FROM GM BECAUSE NOT AVAILABLE. *TR
THE DASH HAS COMPLETELY CRACKED FOR A SECOND TIME ALONG THE DRIVERS SIDE AND AROUND THE AIRBAG. THIS IS A ORIGINAL GM $380 DASH THAT WAS PUT IN AND HAS CRACKED AGAIN. IT IS UNSAFE IF THE AIRBAG DEPLOYS IT WILL PUSH THE BROKEN PLASTIC INTO THE PASSENGER CAUSING BODILY INJURY.
WHILE MY WIFE WAS DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE HIGHWAY AT 55MPH, THE SUV CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, FOLLOWED BY A TRACTION CONTROL WARNING ON THE DISPLAY, THEN THE VEHICLE WENT INTO "LIMP MODE", REDUCING POWER AND SPEED TO APPROX 20 MPH. SHE TURNED ON THE HAZARDS, AND MOVED INTO THE RIGHT LANE AS OTHER VEHICLES WENT AROUND HER AT THE POSTED SPEED LIMIT AS THE ENGINE WAS BUCKING AND MISSING. SHE EXITED THE HIGHWAY AND LIMPED THE TRUCK, BARELY GETTING UP TO 20 MPH TO A SERVICE SHOP. THEY SCANNED THE CODES, THE ONLY ONE THERE DIRECTED THEM TO CHANGE THE THROTTLE BODY, ($580). THE VEHICLE RAN GOOD FOR 3 DAYS, THEN ALL THE SAME BELLS AND WHISTLES CAME BACK. GMC SERVICE SAID THEY HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE OF A PROBLEM. UPON RESEARCHING THIS ONLINE, I FOUND IT'S FAR FROM UNCOMMON. IF THIS HAS NOT CAUSED AN ACCIDENT YET, ITS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME.. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 GMC YUKON. WHILE PARKED AND/OR DRIVING AT ANY SPEED, THE CHROME FINISH ON ALL FOUR OF THE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLES FLAKED AND THE FACTORY EDGING WAS EXTREMELY ROUGH. THE CONTACT'S HAND HAD BEEN CUT ON THE DOOR HANDLE DUE TO THE ROUGH EDGING. IN ADDITION, THE DASHBOARD CRACKED AND THE PLASTIC NEAR THE DEFROSTER HAD CRUMBLED COMPLETELY. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE DEALER, BUT WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 10,000.
I HAVE 2 SEPARATE CRACKS ON MY DASH, ONE IS LOCATED ON THE PASSENGER SIDE NEAR THE AIRBAG, THE OTHER ONE IS LOCATED ON THE HUMP ABOVE THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE CRACKS KEEP GETTING LONGER, MY DASH RATTLES, IT IS VERY NOTICEABLE AND GM HAS YET TO ISSUE A RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM. I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO PAY OUT OF POCKET FOR SOMETHING I DIDN'T CAUSE TO HAPPEN. I'M BEYOND FRUSTRATED WITH THIS SITUATION.
2007 GMC YUKON DENALI. AS I WAS DRIVING...ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, FOLLOWING WITH VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL, TRACTION CONTROL DISABLE THEN REDUCED ENGINE POWER AND IT WONT LET ME DRIVE MORE THEN 20 MPH. TOOK IT THE DEALER, REPLACED TERMINAL WIRES, REPLACED BCM MODULE ($1100). TWO DAYS LATER SAME LIGHTS COMES BACK ON DASHBOARD...TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY TOLD ME I NEED THROTTLE BODY REPLACED ($631). THEN EVEN MORE ISSUES CAME, AS YOU STOPPING FOR THE STOP LIGHT, BUT THE TRUCK JERKING FORWARD WHILE FOOT ON BREAK AND AS STOPPING IT MAKES A THUD NOISE WHEN SLOWING DOWN. CONTACT GM SAID THEY'LL BE ABLE TO HELP ME OUT BUT THEN THEY DECLINE FOR ANY HELP AND SIMPLY TOLD ME THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO. NOW DEALER IS TELLING ME I NEED BREAKS, BALL JOINTS, UP CONTROL ARMS, SHOCKS. TRUCK HAS UNDER LESS THEN 100K MILES AND MOST OF THESE SHOULD LAST MORE THEN 100K. EVEN DEALER ADMITTED BY SAYING I'VE NEVER SEEN YUKON DENALI GOING BACK. ITS A SAFELY ISSUE. MY WIFE WILL NOT DRIVE THIS TRUCK ANY MORE WITH 3 KIDS IN IT AND NOW IT JUST SITS IN MY GARAGE WHILE MAKING PAYMENTS TO THIS TRUCK. ITS RIDICULOUS! THERE HAS BEEN A RECALL ON THE TAKATA AIRBAG SYSTEM ON MY VEHICLE WHICH EFFECTS THE SYSTEMS ABILITY TO SAFELY DEPLOY. THIS IN TURN LIMITS MY ABILITY TO SAFELY DRIVE THE VEHICLE WITHOUT FEAR OF SERIOUS BODILY INJURY OR DEATH. TO DATE, GM STILL HAS NO PERMANENT FIX FOR THE PROBLEM. THIS PUTS MORE AND MORE PEOPLE AT RISK ON A DAILY BASIS. GM HAS AN OBLIGATION TO PROVIDE ALL OWNERS A SAFE MODE OF TRANSPORTATION. ANYTHING LESS, TO INCLUDE DISREGARDING A SAFETY RECALL, SHOULD BE CONSIDERED NEGLIGENCE ON GMS PART. MOREOVER, THEY HAVE HAD NUMEROUS YEARS TO DEVELOP A TEMPORARY AND/OR PERMANENT FIX AND SO FAR HAVE FAILED TO DO SO. THEREFORE, IN THE INTEREST OF SAFETY, I ASK THAT YOU DIRECT GM TO PROVIDE A WAY TO SAFELY ELIMINATE THE THREAT FROM THE TAKATA AIRBAG SYSTEM. *TR

2007 GMC YUKON DENALI. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO VEHICLE BRAKE SYSTEM AND ENGINE ISSUES. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED HE WAS ATTEMPTING TO START. HOWEVER THE ENGINE STARTED TO SURGE AND HE WAS UNABLE TO STOP. HE CRASHED INTO THE PROCEEDING VEHICLE. THE CONSUMER SPOKE TO TWO MECHANICS WHO INFORMED HIM, IT WAS AN ONGOING PROBLEM AND THERE WAS NO REMEDY TO PREVENT IT FROM HAPPENING. THE PROBLEM WAS CAUSED BY THE TRIGGERING OF THE ABS BY DETERIORATION OF THE FRONT WHEEL BEARING. *JB
I TOOK MY DAUGHTER TO VOLLEYBALL PRACTICE AND WHEN I STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT THE CAR WAS ACCELERATING EVEN THOUGH I HAD MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE PEDAL AND IT MOVED ON A JUMPING MODE TO THE FRONT. I GOT SO SCARED. THE CAR MOVED FORWARD WE COULD HAVE BEEN INVOLVED ON AN ACCIDENT ON AN INTERSECTION OR HIT THE CAR IN FRONT OF US. AS THAT HAPPENED I NOTICED IN DASHBOARD THE RMP COUNTER WAS MOVING UP AS IF IT WAS WERE ACCELERATING. IT WAS PRETTY SCARY MY KIDS AND I DON'T FEEL SAFE TO RIDE ON THE ONLY CAR WE OWN. I HAD A MECHANIC TELL ME I SHOULD TAKE IT TO THE DEALER BECAUSE IT'S A SAFETY HAZARD. THAT IT SEEM TO HIM AS A THROTTLE SYSTEM FAILURE AND IT WAS VERY DANGEROUS. WHEN I TURN VEHICLE ON IT HAPPENS TOO. *JS
THE DASH BOARD HAS A LARGE CRACK THAT STRETCHS FROM THE PASSENGER AIR BAG TO THE DRIVERS SIDE. I'M CONCERNED THAT THIS CAN IMPACT THE FUNCTION OF THE AIR BAG SYSTEM OR CAUSE HARM TO THE PASSENGER IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 GMC YUKON DENALI. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CHROME PLATING ON ALL THE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLES WERE PEELING CAUSING THE CONTACT TO SUSTAIN MINOR CUTS ON THE HAND. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS NOT REQUIRED. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 40 MPH, THE ENGINE POWER DOWN WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND THE VEHICLE DECELERATED TO 20 MPH. THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED BUT FAILED TO RESPOND AND THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED AND THE FAILURE PERSISTED. ON ANOTHER OCCASION, THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE FAILURES OCCURRED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED FOR THE INTIAL FAILURE.THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE THROTTLE BODY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 102,000.

I HAVE TRIED TO SUBMIT MY YUKON FOR TANAKA RECALL REMEDY SEVERAL TIMES BY CONTACTING MY LOCAL GMC DEALERSHIP. THEIR SERVICE DEPT CONTINUES TO TELL ME THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE PARTS AVAILABLE TO MODIFY MY VEHICLE. A FEW YEARS AGO I BROADSIDED A LEXUS SUV WHICH 'RAN A TRAFFIC LIGHT'. MY AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY, WHILE SEVERAL OF THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED IN THE LEXUS. I FELT THAT MY LIFE MIGHT HAVE BEEN AT RISK SINCE THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY, OR ALTERNATELY, AT EVEN WORST RISK IF THEY DID EXPLODE UPON DEPLOYMENT. WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ADDRESSING THIS ISSUE? THE GMC DEALER SAYS THEY ARE NOT! I HAVE PHOTOS OF THE ACCIDENT AND A POLICE REPORT STATING THAT THE LADY WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR

THE GMC CONTINUES TO RANDOMLY NOT START OR DEACTIVATE THE STABILITRACK, ANTI-LOCK BRAKES WERE DISABLED, AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ARE ALL ON. THIS PROBLEM HAPPENS ALMOST EVERY DAY AND THE DEALER IS UNABLE TO IDENTIFY THE SOURCE OF THE PROBLEM AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS. *TR
AS I WAS DRIVING 'OIL PRESSURE IS LOW, CUT THE ENGINE OFF' WARNING CAME ON AND THE OIL LIGHT WAS ON. THAT ALSO TRIGGERED THE TRACTION CONTROL/STABILITRAK LIGHT TO COME ON. FROM THEN ON WHENEVER I DRIVE THE VEHICLE THOSE LIGHTS COME ON AS WELL AS THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. THIS IS APPARENTLY A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE GMC 2007 ENGINE. THERE ARE MULTIPLE FORMS FROM CHEVY, CADILLAC, AND GMC WHERE CONSUMERS THAT HAVE THESE ENGINES ARE EXPERIENCING THIS PROBLEM. WHEN WE TAKE IT TO DEALERSHIPS WE ARE TOLD TO CHANGE THE ENGINE. I WAS JUST QUOTED OVER $8000 TO CHANGE THIS ENGINE. I CAN'T EVEN SELL THIS TRUCK WITHOUT LOSING MY SHIRT. WE NEED HELP OUT HERE. GM KNOWS THAT THIS IS A PROBLEM BECAUSE THE DEALERSHIPS KNOW.
