RECEIVED NOTICE OF A RECALL POSSIBILITY FOR AIRBAG RECALL. DASHBOARD IS CRACKED AND COULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT IF CRACK POPS WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE.
TAKATA AIRBAG RECALL I HAVE TOUCHED BASE WITH MY DEALERSHIP SEVERAL TIMES SINCE MAY 2016.....I AM STILL WAITING FOR A RESOLUTION SO THAT MY PASSENGERS DONT HAVE TO SIT IN THE BACK SEAT FOR FEAR OF BEING PUNCHED IN THE FACE WITH SHRAPNEL IF THE AIRBAG DEPLOYS
TAKATA RECALL IT HAS BEEN WELL OVER A YEAR NOW AND WE ARE STILL WAITING FOR A REMEDY? MEANWHILE DRIVING IN FLORIDA ISNT SCARY ENOUGH BUT I HAVE THIS ON MY MIND EVER SINGLE TIME WE GET IN OUR TRUCK.

TOP DASH BOARD CRACKED ADJACENT TO AIR BAG THEREBY POSSIBILITY INTERFERING WITH AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT. A SAFETY HAZARD. A DESIGN AND MANUFACTURING PROBLEM. NOT OF MERCHANTABLE QUALITY OR FIT FOR THE PURPOSE, AS THESE UNIT ARE SOLD THROUGHOUT THE US FOR ALL CLIMATES,
CRACKED DASH BOARD...SEVERE CRACKING ABOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL/STEERING WHEEL AND SEVERE CRACKING AROUND THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. ISSUE HAS ALREADY BEEN FIXED ONE TIME BEFORE AND THIS IS A RECURRING ISSUE WITH THE SAME CRACKS IN THE SAME PLACES.
CRACKS IN THE DASH HAVE APPEARED. ONE CRACK IS ABOVE LEFT OF THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND THE OTHER IS FORWARD OF AND NEXT TO THE PASSENGER AIRBAG. VEHICLE HAS ALWAYS STAYED UNDER COVERED PARKING. NOTICED THE CRACKS AS I WAS DRIVING AND DASH NOW RATTLES.
WE HAVE 3 GM SUBURBAN AND GMC YUKONS THAT ALL HAVE CRACKED DASHES. I FIND IT HARD TO BELIEVE THAT ALL 3 OF OURS HAVE CRACKED DASHES. THERE HAS GOT TO BE A PROBLEM WITH THE DASH BOARD AND GM NEEDS TO STEP UP AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS BEFORE SOME ONE GETS HURTS. THE DASH BOARDS ALL CRACKED ABOUT 10 MONTHS AGO .
COMPLETE PERFORATION OF FRAME BY RUST, IMPACTING ABILITY TO SECURELY MOUNT FRONT ANTI-ROLL BAR. DISCOVERED IN MARCH OF 2016. GM HAS OFFERED NO RESOLUTION.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 GMC YUKON DENALI. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 60 MPH, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY STOPPED AS THE STABILITRAK, THE PARK ASSIST, THE BRAKES, THE SERVICE ENGINE AND THE TRACTION CONTROL WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, WHO DETERMINED THAT THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 97,289. UPDATED 06/29/16*LJ
I'VE RECEIVED LETTERS FROM THE GMC DEALERSHIP THAT MY VEHICLE NEEDS A RECALL WITH A DANGEROUS TAKATA AIRBAG, BUT THERE IS NO PART AVAILABLE YET. IT HAS BEEN OVER 2 YEARS SINCE I WAS FIRST NOTIFIED OF THIS ISSUE. I LIVE IN A HOT AND HUMID AREA (HAWAII), WHICH IS SUPPOSEDLY WORSE FOR THE ISSUE WITH THE AIRBAG. I AM CONCERNED FOR THE SAFETY OF MY FAMILY WHICH DRIVING THIS VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE IS ALMOST 11 YEARS OLD, I FEEL THE AUTO MAKER IS TRYING TO BUY TIME UNTIL THE ENGINE GOES OUT POSSIBLY. I PLAN ON KEEPING THIS VEHICLE FOR ANOTHER 10 YEARS AT LEAST, REPLACING THE ENGINE IF NEED BE. I WOULD LIKE SOME HELP GETTING THIS ISSUE RESOLVED, AND IN THE MEANTIME WILL TRY TO GET APPROVED FOR AN ON/OFF SWITCH FOR THE AFFECTED AIRBAG. IT ALSO SEEMS STRANGE THAT ONLY ONE SIDE WOULD BE AFFECTED, AS THE EXPLOSIVE PROPELLANT CAUSING THE ISSUE WOULD NO DOUBTEDLY BE ON BOTH SIDES.
JUST LIKE HUNDREDS OF OTHERS, MY DASH HAS STARTED CRACKING RIGHT AT THE TOP LEFT CORNER OF THE AIRBAG. SEEMS LIKE A MANUFACTURING FLAW SINCE THERE ARE SO MANY THAT HAVE DONE THIS IN THE EXACT SAME PLACE! MY VEHICLE IS GARAGED AND IN EXCELLENT CONDITION BESIDES THE DASH BEING CRACKED!

AFTER PARKING THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT FUEL HAD LEAKED ONTO THE GROUND. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INSPECTED AND DIAGNOSED BY A DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER ISSUED MORE THAN TEN TSBS ON THE FUEL SYSTEM, BUT A MANUFACTURER RECALL CAMPAIGN WAS NOT ISSUED. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT A WARRANTY WOULD NOT COVER THE REPAIRS AND PROVIDED NO SOLUTION. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 233,000.
CRACKS ALL ALONG THE DASHBOARD. ONE ALL THE WAY UP TO THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. ONE DOWN THE CENTER. SEVERAL AROUND THE PASSENGER AIR BAG. I'M AFRAID THE AIRBAG WON'T WORK PROPERLY BECAUSE OF THE INSTABILITY OF THE DASHBOARD FRAME AROUND IT, OR THAT PLASTIC PIECES FROM THE DASH COULD COME FLYING OFF IN A WRECK...
CRACKS IN DASHBOARD , AROUND AIRBAG. AFTER RESEARCHING INTERNET SEEMS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM. I CALLED GMC 1-800 # THEY SAID THEY HAD NEVER HEARD OF SUCH A PROBLEM..LOOK IT UP ITS ALL OVER THE INTERNET..
90K MILES ON MY 2008 YUKON DENALI XL. DASH IS CRACKING IN FRONT OF INSTRUMENT CLUSTER ON DASH. SEEMS TO BE A NOT TOO UNCOMMON DEFECT. IVE ATTEMPTED TO GLUE IT UNTIL IT CAN BE REPAIRED.
CRACKED DASHBOARD, DEEPLY CONCERNED ABOUT AIRBAG SAFETY IF DEPLOYED DUE TO PROXIMITY TO CRACK AND SHARP EDGES ADJACENT TO THE PASSENGER AIRBAG. DOOR HANDLES FALLING OFF, EVEN AFTER REPLACEMENT. FEAR OF UNLAWFUL ENTRY INTO CAR. GM UNWILLING TO CORRECT SUBSTANDARD PARTS.

DASHBOARD IS CRACK FOR NO REASON BUT DEFECTIVE. THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY WHEN IT HAPPENED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 GMC YUKON. AFTER STARTING THE ENGINE AND SHUTTING THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR, BOTH THE PASSENGER AND DRIVER SIDE CURTAIN AIR BAGS INADVERTENTLY DEPLOYED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 163,000.
DASH HAS STARTED CRACKING AROUND PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG. IF IN AN ACCIDENT AND THE AIR BAG IS DEPLOYED I FEAR THAT MYSELF AND MY PASSENGERS MAY BE AFFECTED OR HARMED BY THE DEBRIS DUE TO THE COMPROMISED STRUCTURE OR THE DASH BOARD. CURRENTLY IN CONTACT WITH GMC VIA TWITTER TO SEEK RESOLUTION. VEHICLE IS STORED IN A COVERED PARKING GARAGE NOT EFFECTED BY SUNLIGHT.
I'M DRIVING AND ALL OF THE SUDDEN THE STABILITY AND TRACTION CONTROLS LIGHTS START FLASHING, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND IT GOES INTO 1ST GEAR AND WON'T SHIFT OUT. IT TAKES ABOUT 15 SECONDS TO GO FROM DRIVING 60 MILES AND AIR DOWN TO 10. GMC HAD IT A TOTAL OF 7 WEEKS IN THE WINTER OF 2015/2016 AND COULDN'T FIND THE PROBLEM. DOING IT AGAIN NOW7/7/2016. TOOK IT TO ANOTHER DEALER. THEY THINK IT'S A WIRING PROBLEM BUT CAN'T FIND IT EITHER. TOLD ME WOULD JUST HAVE TO DRIVE IT TILL IT GETS WORSE. I NOTICED THIS LAST TIME IT MESSED UP THAT IT HAD BEEN SHIFTING VERY HARD THAT DAY. VERY FRUSTRATING TO PAY THAT MUCH FOR A VEHICLE YOU DON'T FEEL SAFE DRIVING. READY TO TRADE BUT NOT SURE I HAVE MUCH FAITH IN GM VEHICLES AFTER ALL THE PROBLEMS I'VE BEEN READING ABOUT.
DASH IS CRACKED OVER INSTRUMENT PANEL AND INTO AIR BAG COMPARTMENT MAKING THIS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE.
I HAVE A CRACK IN THE DASHBOARD THAT IS LOCATED RIGHT AT THE AIRBAG SYSTEM OF THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE TRUCK.....
MY 2008 GMC YUKON WAS PARKED IN MY UNCOVERED DRIVEWAY. I REMOTE STARTED IN FROM INSIDE TO THE HOUSE TO WARM UP THE ENGINE. ABOUT 2 MINUTES LATER, I WENT OUTSIDE AND GOT IN THE TRUCK, PLACED KEYS IN IGNITION AND TURNED IT OVER. IT GOT DOWN IN THE MID-30'S LAST NIGHT, SO THERE WAS A THIN LAYER OF FROST ON ALL WINDOWS. I TURNED ON THE FRONT WINDSHIELD DEFROSTER. I DID NOT TURN THE BACK ONE ON AS THE EXHAUST FUMES FROM THE TAILPIPE WERE MELTING THE FROST ON THE BACK WINDOW. I HAD BEEN SITTING IN THE CAR FOR APPROX 3-4 MINUTES WHEN I HEARD A VERY LOUD BOOM AND GLASS SHATTERING. I LOOKED BACK AND COULD SEE THAT MY BACK WINDOW HAD EXPLODED. SHARDS OF TEMPERED GLASS WERE ALL OVER THE PAVEMENT AND INSIDE THE BACK AREA OF THE TRUCK.
WE HAD ARRIVED HOME FROM SHOPPING THAT EVENING. MY GIRLFRIEND WAS THE LAST TO EXIT THE VEHICLE, BECAUSE SHE WAS GOING TO EACH SIDE PICKING UP TRASH WITHIN THE VEHICLE. THE DASH WASN'T CRACKED, TWO DAYS LATER SHE ENTERED THE VEHICLE TO RUN ERRANDS AND NOTICE THE DASH CRACKED SHE RETURNED TO THE HOUSE AND QUESTIONED EVERYONE THAT HAD BEEN IN THE VEHICLE THAT DAY AND NO ONE NOTICE THE CRACK.
DASH CRACKED IN 2 PLACES: ABOVE DRIVING WHEEL AND AROUND AIR BAG. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME I WILL HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THIS PART IN 2 YEARS. AFTER THE FIRST REPLACEMENT, I HAD BEEN FAIRLY DILIGENT ABOUT USING A WINDSHIELD/DASH REFLECTIVE COVER WHEN PARKED OUTSIDE, BUT DOES NOT SEEM TO HAVE HELPED PREVENT SAME SITUATION FROM OCCURRING AGAIN WITH CRACKS IN EXACTLY THE SAME PLACES. CRACKS ON REPLACED DASH ARE GETTING WORSE AND ENTIRE DASH VIBRATES AND RATTLES WHEN DRIVING AS OTHER ATTACHMENT PIECES SEEM TO BE CRACKING UNDERNEATH. SIMILAR COMPLAINTS SUGGEST CONTINUED CRACKING AND PROGRESSION COULD EXPOSE PARTS UNDER DASH, POSSIBLY EVEN EFFECT AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT. THE QUOTE FOR PARTS AND LABOR I RECEIVED FROM MY LOCAL GMC SERVICE WAS $1,000 FOR PARTS AND LABOR. DUE TO THE NUMBER OF GM CUSTOMERS EXPERIENCING THE EXACT SAME THING, THIS APPEARS TO BE A FAULTY COMPONENT TO AN OTHERWISE GOOD VEHICLE, AND SHOULD BE ISSUED A RECALL AND REPLACED WITH A DASH THAT LASTS SUBSTANTIALLY LONGER THAN 1.5-2 YEARS.

SINCE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE 2 YRS AGO I HAVE COMPLAINED TO DODGE AND GMC ABOUT THE ISSUES INVOLVING THE CAR. IT HAS HESSITATED WHEN PUSHING ON THE GAS AFTER BEING IN A STOP. IT HAS ACCELERATED ON ITS OWN ON A STOP LIGHT GONE ALL THE WAY TO 4. I HAD TO PUT IT ON PARK FOR IT TO STOP.THE CAR HAS COMPLETELY TURNED OFF ON ME SEVERAL TIMES THEN THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TURNS ON AND THEN AFTER 2-3 DAYS TURNS OFF ALONG WITH THE ROAD HAZZARD LIGHT. WHEN I TAKE IT TO HAVE IT CHECKED THEY FIND NOTHING. I FINALLY GOT TIRED OF IT TOOK IT TO DODGE TO HAVE IT DIAGNOSE PAID $150.1. THEY DID NOT OFFER A LOANER CAR 2. THEY HAD MY CAR FOR ALMOST 2 DAYS JUST FOR A DIAGNOSSIC TEST 3. THEY DID NOT HAVE A HYBRID SPECIALIST THERE NOR DID THEY SENT IT TO ONE. THEY DIDNT FIND NOTHING WRONG WITH IT JUST SUGGESTED TO DO TRANSMISSION CHANGE, CHANGE THE WIRES TO THE SPARK PLUGS AND CHANGE THE SPARK PLUGS AFTER DOING ALL THAT. THE PROBLEM CONTINUED. I THEN TOOK IT TO GMC PAID ANOTHER $150 FOR THEM TO DO A DIAGNOSIS TEST. THEY ALSO DID NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT BUT SEEN THAT IT HAD A EXTENDED WARRANTY OF THE THROTTLES AND SAID THAT COULD BE IT. AFTER CHANGING THAT THE PROBLEM STILL CONTINUED. THE ONLY THING THAT THE GUY TOLD ME FROM ME EXPLAINING THE PROBLEMS IS IT COULD BE THE BRAKE SENSER. PAID &170.00. PROBLEM STILL CONTINUED NOTHING HAS CHANGED. THIS IS DANGEROUS AND COULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT, THE CAR TURNING COMPLETELY OFF ON ME HESSITATING TO DRIVE AND ACCELERATING ON IT'S OWN WHEN ON PARK IS DANGEROUS. I HAVE DONE MORE THAN MY PARK IN TAKING THE CAR TO SEE WHAT'S WRONG WITH IT YET NO ONE CAN FIND NOTHING WRONG WITH IT THE MACHINE SAYS NOTHING WHEN I WANT THE PROBLEM TO ACURE TO SHOW THEM WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT IT DOES NOT DO IT. I DON'T KNOW WHAT ELSE TO DO. BUT THIS IS DANGEROUS VERY VERY DANGEROUS. I PAID ALOT WITH NO RESULTS TO SHOW FOR IT. PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS AND HAVE IT CHECKED.
I ALREADY HAVE COMPLAINT NUMBER #11025458. I WANTED TO CONTINUE ADDING. SINCE I FILED THE COMPLAINT THE PROBLEM STILL PERSIST AND MORE FREQUENT AND DANGEROUS. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STILL COMES ON THEN WITHIN A DAY OR TWO TURNS OFF. STAYS OFF FOR A FEW DAYS THEN AGAIN ON AND OFF. IT'S NOT THE OIL CHANGE THAT HAS BEEN DONE ALREADY. THAT'S THE ONLY MESSAGE WE GET WHEN WE TAKE IT TO GMC TO HAVE THE LIGHT CHECKED. THE EXCELLARATING STILL CONTINUES WHEN I'M AT A STOP LIGHT. THE CAR HAS TURNED OFF ON ME 2 TIMES NOW WHILE WANTING TO DRIVE (EXCELLARATTING TO DRIVE) THE CAR HAS NOT WANTED TO TURN ON FOR 1HR. IT'S NOT THE BATTERY WE HAD IT CHECKED. MY TIME ON THE TRUCK KEEPS RESETTING. AFTER I SET IT THEN GO BACK IN THE TRUCK TO DRIVE IT'S RESET AGAIN, SO IT'S TURNING OFF THE BATTERY THEN TURNING IT BACK ON. I STILL GET ALOT OF THE HESSITATION TO DRIVE IT MAKES THE WHOLE TRUCK SHAKE I'M FORCING IT TO DRIVE. THE DEALER CAN'T FIND NOTHING BUT SAID IT MIGHT BE THE BREAK SENSER THAT I PAID $180.00 TO HAVE CHANGED WITH THE EXACT SAME PROBLEMS STILL HAPPENING. I RECEIVED A RECALL LETTER OF A PART FOR MY TRUCK TOOK IT TO GMC THEY SAID I SHOULD BE GETTING ANOTHER LETTER FROM THE SAME COMPANY WHEN THE PART IS AVAILABLE. IT'S BEEN OVER A YEAR STILL NOTHING. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE ABOUT THIS. DO I NEED A LAWYER? THE PROBLEMS ACCURE WEATHER IT'S IN MOTION OR STATIONARY, ON THE CITY ST OR HIGHWAY TURNING OR NOT IT DOES NOT MATTER IT HAPPENS WITH EVERYTHING. THANK YOU
MY DASH HAS CRACKED ABOUT 5 INCHES ABOVE THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FOR NO APPARENT REASON. A SEARCH REVEALS THIS IS SEEMINGLY A COMMON ISSUE WITH MY YEAR VEHICLE.
CRACKED DASH BOARD IN SEVERAL DIFFERENT SPOTS/AREAS.. A PIECE HAS ALREADY CAME OUT AND FLEW TOWARDS MY DAUGHTERS FACE AND BRUISED HER.
MY DASHBOARD HAS A CRACK ACROSS IT FROM THE DRIVER SIDE ALL THE WAY TO THE PASSENGER SIDE. I THINK THIS IS UNSAFE AND THIS VEHICLE IS ALWAYS PARK.
DASHBOARD CRACKED. THIS IS THE 2ND INCIDENT TO THIS SAME VEHICLE. DASH WAS PREVIOUS REPLACED BY DEALERSHIP. CRACKS ARE IN THE SAME AREA AS PREVIOUS CRACKS
PLASTIC DASHBOARD IS CRACKING. GMC DEALER QUOTED A $1,000.00 REPLACEMENT COST. DEALER PROPOSED MY COST WOULD BE $600.00. SAME DEALER REPLACED CRACKED DASHBOARD ONCE BEFORE AT NO COST TO ME. THIS CERTAINLY APPEARS TO BE A MANUFACTURER'S DEFECT BUT DEALER DISAGREES.

THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE LOCAL DEALER (REEDMAN TOLL AUTO WORLD, 1700 EAST LINCOLN HWY #101, LANGHORNE, PA 19047) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT AN AIR BAG SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED DUE TO THE VEHICLE BEING INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V383000 (AIR BAGS) AND THE DECISION ON THE PETITION WAS PENDING. THE REPAIR FOR THE WARNING SENSOR WOULD CAUSE THE BUMPER TO HAVE TO BE REMOVED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 108,000.

CRACK FORMING ON DASHBOARD NEAR LEFT CORNER OF AIRBAG. MY DENALI IS ALWAYS PARKED IN A GARAGE AND I STARTED NOTICING IT LAST MONTH. I'VE SEEN OTHER PEOPLE POST THEIR DASHBOARD PICS WITH THE SAME CRACK.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 GMC YUKON. WHILE IN PARK, ALL THE CURTAIN AIR BAGS IN THE VEHICLE INADVERTENTLY DEPLOYED. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE HEADLINERS, AIR BAGS, AND PILLARS ON THE SIDE OF THE VEHICLE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 68,000.
I WENT TO OPEN MY DRIVERS SIDE DOOR TO GET INTO MY CAR AND THE DOOR HANDLE JUST RIPPED OFF. I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT. I'M NOT A STRONG WOMAN AND I DID NOTHING DIFFERENT THEN ANY OTHER DAY. NOW I HAVE TO CLIMB THROUGH THE PASSENGER SIDE AND OPEN MY DOOR TILL I CAN GET IT FIXED. ABOUT A YEAR AGO I HAD MY BACK DOOR HANDLE COME LOOSE. IT DID NOT RIP OFF, BUT IT WAS NOT FUNCTIONAL. DRIVING 45 EXITING THE FREEWAY WHEN WARNING ENGINE LIGHT COME SON " ENGINE POWER REDUCED" AND DROPPED THE CAR TO 1MPH ALMOST CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. I WOULD PRESS ON THE GAS PEDAL AND THERE WAS NO POWER IT HAD ME STALLED ON THE OFF RAMP EXIT DURING BUSY MORNING TRAFFIC. AFTER 10 MINUTES OF BEING STALLED AND ATTEMPTING TO GIVE THE GAS PEDAL IT FINALLY MOVED FOR ME TO GET OVER OUT OF THE WAY. THE ENGINE LIGHT IS STILL ON. VERY DANGEROUS LUCKILY NO ACCIDENT AND I DIDNT HAVE MY KIDS IN THE CAR.
SOMETIMES WHEN I COME TO A STOP MY VEHICLE GOES INTO THE AUTOSTOP MODE, BUT WHEN I GO TO ACCELERATE IT DOESN'T COME OUT OF AUTOSTOP AND JERKS REALLY HARD THEN STALLS OUT. ONCE I PUT THE VEHICLE IN PARK AND RESTART IT, IT CRANKS RIGHT UP BUT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND STAYS ON FOR ABOUT A DAY AND THEN GOES OFF ON IT'S OWN. I HAVE TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO GMC DEALERSHIP TWICE AND PAID OUT ABOUT $700 FOR REPAIRS THAT DID NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM. THE DEALERSHIP CLAIMS TO NOT BE ABLE TO FIND ANY CODES EVEN WITH THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON. I HAVE BEEN CLOSE TO BEING HIT FROM THE BACK ON AT LEAST 3 OCCASIONS BECAUSE THE VEHICLE INITIALLY MOVES SLOWLY BEFORE JERKING AND STALLING. PLEASE HELP MYSELF AND OTHERS WITH THIS SIMILAR PROBLEM GET HELP BECAUSE OBVIOUSLY THE DEALERSHIP ISN'T CONCERNED WITH OUR SAFETY AS WELL AS OUR CHILDREN.

THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, BUT THE VEHICLE DID NOT ACCELERATE. ANOTHER VEHICLE CRASHED INTO THE FRONT PASSENGER OF THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUFFERED A CONCUSSION AND THE PREGNANT FRONT PASSENGER SUSTAINED BACK INJURIES AND RECEIVED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 100,000.
VEHICLE DASHBOARD CRACKING AROUND PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. CONCERNED OVER THE POSSIBILITY OF THE FRACTURE SPLINTERING IF THE AIRBAG WERE TO DEPLOY AND PUNCTURING THE AIRBAG AND/OR SENDING PIECES OF HARD PLASTIC INTO THE FACE OF PASSENGER AND/OR OTHER OCCUPANTS.
