CRACKS IN THE DASHBOARD AROUND AIRBAG AND ENTIRE DASH HAS CRACKED.
CRACKS IN DASH IN MULTIPLE PLACES. IF AIR BAGS DEPLOY, POSSIBLE SHARDS OF DASH COULD INJURE THE PASSENGER OR DRIVER.
SOMETIMES WHEN I COME TO A STOP MY VEHICLE GOES INTO THE AUTOSTOP MODE, BUT WHEN I GO TO ACCELERATE IT JUST DIES IN THE MIDDLE OF THE INTERSECTION WITH THE GAS ENGINE NOT ENGAGING AND THE ELECTRIC MODE NOT MOVING THE VEHICLE THEN IT JERKS REALLY HARD. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND STAYS ON FOR ABOUT A DAY AND THEN GOES OFF ON IT'S OWN. I HAVE TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO MULITPLE GMC DEALERSHIPS NUMEROUS TIMES AND PAIDED OUT FOR REPAIRS THAT DID NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM. THE DEALERSHIP CLAIMS TO NOT BE ABLE TO FIND ANY CODES EVEN WITH THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON. I HAVE BEEN CLOSE TO BEING HIT FROM THE BACK ON AT LEAST 3 OCCASIONS BECAUSE THE VEHICLE INITIALLY MOVES SLOWLY BEFORE JERKING AND STALLING AND ALMOST BROAD SIDED ON MORE THAN 3 OCCASIONS WHEN PULLING OUT OF A STOP SIGN INTO TRAFFIC. I AM AWARE OTHERS ARE EXPERIENCING SIMILAR PROBLEMS CAN WE GET HELP BECAUSE OBVIOUSLY THE DEALERSHIP ISN'T CONCERNED WITH OUR SAFETY. I HAVE RECENTLY BEEN REFUSED THE OPPORTUNITY THE HAVE A GM REGIONAL REP MEET ME AT A LOCAL DEALERSHIP TO REVIEW THE ISSUE.
CRUISE CONTROL STOPPED WORKING AND THE DASHBOARD IS CRACKING IS TWO DIFFERENT AREAS
DOORS LOCKED WITH REMOTE. 2ND ROW PASSENGER DOOR BEHIND DRIVERS DOOR FAILED TO ACTUATE WITH REMOTE OR WITH DOOR LOCKS. WAS ABLE TO WORK WITH THE MANUAL LOCK ON THE DOOR FROM THE INSIDE TO FREE THE DOOR. ONCE FREED, THE DOOR FAILED TO RETURN TO THE CLOSED POSITION AND REMAINED STUCK UNTIL THE KEY FOB WAS PUSHED. REPEATED THE LOCK WITH THE KEY FOB, DOOR STILL WILL NOT ACTUATE TO THE OPEN POSITION. CHILD CAN UNLOCK AS THIS BYPASSES THE CHILD LOCKS ON THAT DOOR. CHILD COULD ALSO GET TRAPPED IN THE CAR-COULD NOT BE UNLOCKED WITHOUT MANUAL AGITATION OF THE INTERNAL LOCKS. INTERNET IS FULL OF HIS SAME ISSUE ON THE SAME MODEL VEHICLE. THIS IS A SERIOUS HAZARD. *TR
I HAVE TWO CRACKS IN THE DASH ONE ON THE DRIVERS SIDE BEHIND THE STEERING WHEEL AND THE OTHER LEADING TO THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG. THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON ISSUE WITH GMC VEHICLES. I HAVE ADDRESSED THE ISSUE WITH GM. TO NO RELIEF. *TR
DASHBOARD CRACKED NEAR PASSENGER AIRBAG, ALSO FRACTURES AROUND DRIVER SIDE VENT AND CENTER CHANNEL SPEAKER.
WHILE TRAVELING ON THE INTERSTATE AT SPEED (70) THE STABILITRAC LIGHT CAME ON AND REDUCED ENGINE POWER MESSAGE DISPLAYED. THE RPM'S WENT OVER 4K, THEN THE YUKON SLOWED IN TRAFFIC AND I HAD TO PULL TO THE SIDE BEFORE BEING RUN OVER. THE ACCELERATOR WAS UNRESPONSIVE AT THAT TIME. I TURNED OFF THE ENGINE, WAITED ABOUT 5 MINUTES AND THEN RESUMED DRIVING USING '3' TO ENGAGE TRANSMISSION INSTEAD OF 'D' THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT REMAINED ON, BUT I MADE IT TO MY DESTINATION 2 HOURS AWAY. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 GMC YUKON DENALI XL. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER A REGULAR INSPECTION BY THE DEALER, THE TECHNICIAN NOTIFIED THE CONTACT THAT THE MOTOR MOUNT WAS RUSTING AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
MY DASHBOARD IS CRACKED AROUND THE AIRBAG AND OVER THE STEERING COLUMN. I AM MISSING A BIG PIECE OF THE DASHBOARD OVER THE STEERING COLUMN. MY MAIN CONCERN (OTHER THAN THE HORRIBLE RATTLING NOISE I HAVE TO LISTEN TO WHEN I DRIVE) IS THE CRACKING OF THE DASHBOARD AROUND THE AIRBAG. THE CRACKING HAS ACTUALLY POPPED THE SQUARE SECTION OF THE AIRBAG UP. THERE IS ALSO A 6-7 INCH BROKEN OFF PIECE OF DASH AROUND THE AIRBAG THAT IS JUST SITTING THERE LOOSELY. WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF I AM IN AN ACCIDENT AND HAVE THIS LARGE PIECE OF LOOSE DASH FLYING AROUND? OR, SINCE MY AIRBAG COVER IS POPPED UP, CAN THIS CAUSE MY AIRBAG TO DEPLOY? I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY TOLD ME THAT I DIDN'T QUALIFY FOR A FREE REPLACEMENT, THAT IT WOULD COST ME $800 TO REPLACE MYSELF.
THE TOP OF THE DASHBOARD IS CRACKED AROUND THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. I AM CONCERNED ABOUT THE POSSIBILITY OF LOOSE DASHBOARD PIECES BECOMING PROJECTILES UPON AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT.
MY FAMILY'S 2008 GMC YUKON HAS A CRACKING DASHBOARD COVER. THIS PROBLEM STARTED EARLIER AROUND 100,000 MILES BUT NOW THERE IS ONE LARGE CRACK AND ONE SMALLER CRACK ABOVE THE PORTION OF THE DASHBOARD WHERE THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER IS LOCATED. I AM CONCERNED THAT EVENTUALLY THIS WHOLE PORTION OF THE DASHBOARD COVER MAY CRACK AND FALL INTO THE DASHBOARD WHICH COULD POSSIBLY AFFECT ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS LOCATED WITHIN THE DASHBOARD. ALSO I HAVE NOTICED SOME SIGNS OF A CRACK FORMING NEXT TO THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG COVER. AT ANY POINT WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE I CAN HEAR THE DASHBOARD CRACKING AND POPPING LOUDLY. *TR
GMC DASH CRACKING-- FILED COMPLAINT WITH GM AND SRT SPECIAL RESPONSE TEAM MEMBER TOOK INFO AND DID TRY TO WORK WITH LOCAL DEALERSHIP BUT IN THE END REFUSED TO PAY TO HAVE THE DASH REPLACED. IF THE VEHICLE IS IN AN ACCIDENT AND THE AIR BAD DEPLOYS I'M AFRAID THE FLYING SUB PAR PLASTIC DASH PARTS WILL BECOME HARMFUL OBJECTS. THIS IS AND HAS BEEN AN ONGOING ISSUE WITH CHEVY AND GMC PRODUCTS. THE DASH IS ACTUALLY STARTING TO FALL APART AND CAUSING VISUAL CONCERNS ALONG WITH NOISES FROM BROKE PIECES RUBBING OTHER VEHICLE PARTS.... IF WE WERE TO TRY AND SELL VEHICLE THIS ISSUE WOULD LOWER THE RESALE VALUE.. WE THE PEOPLE HELPED GM OUT OF THERE SELF CREATED PROBLEMS.. THEY SHOULD HELP THE LOYAL OWNERS WELL ONCE LOYAL---
MY 2008 YUKON XL IS GIVING SEVERAL ERROR MESSAGES. TRACTION CONTROL OFF, SERVICE STABILITRAC, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT REMAINS ON EVEN AFTER I'VE REPLACED THE THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR, COIL PACK, FULL TUNE UP NOTHING SEEMS TO FIX THE ISSUE AND I SEE THAT I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE EXPERIENCING THIS ISSUE. ANY INSIGHT ON RESOLVING THIS PROBLEM WOULD BE GLADLY APPRECIATED IT IS ALSO USING MORE OIL THAN USUAL. *TR
THIS IS TWICE THAT I'VE RECEIVED THE P2138 THROTTLE BODY SENSOR CODE, WHICH CAUSES REDUCED ENGINE POWER AND HAS SUBSEQUENT ISSUES AROUND STABILITRACK/AWD. THE FIRST TIME WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INTERSECTION, WE LIMPED OUT OF THE INTERSECTION AT 3 MPH. TODAY, MY WIFE LIMPED HOME FROM THE STORE. THIS IS EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING AND SHOULD HAVE BEEN RECALLED A LONG TIME AGO!! *TR
NOVEMBER 13, I WENT OUT TO START MY 2008 YUKON AND THE LIGHTS, DOOR LOCKS, AND CD PLAYER BEGAN TO FLICKER AND THEN SHUT OFF. THE GAUGES ALSO BEGAN TO FLICKER ERRATICALLY, THEN THE CAR WOULD NOT START. LATER IN THE AFTERNOON, MY HUSBAND AND I PUSHED THE CAR OUT OF THE GARAGE AND WHEN THE YUKON WENT OVER THE LIP OF THE GARAGE INTO THE DRIVEWAY, THE BUMP CAUSED ALL THE LIGHTS, RADIO, AND BACK DLOOR LATCH TO COME ON OR BEGIN WORKING. THIS OCCURRED SEVERAL OTHER TIMES OVER SEVERAL WEEKS AND INCLUDED THE REAR DOOR NOT WORKING OR THE POWERLOCKS NOT WORKING WITH THE REMOTE. WE TOOK IT TO DRIVER'S AUTOMOTIVE IN THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS, AND HAD THEM RUN A DIAGNOSTIC ON THE VEHICLE. THE AUTO REPAIRMAN CHECKED THE BATTERY AND CABLES AND SAID NOTHING SHOWS UP IN THE DIAGNOSTIC BUT EVENTUALLY THEY DID REPLACE THE CBM. WE PAID $ 718.00 TO REPLACE THE CBM, TRUSTING THAT WAS THE PROBLEM. THE VEHICLE STARTED UP FINE FOR SEVERAL WEEKS AFTER THAT BUT SINCE DECEMBER 21, THE YUKON HAS DUPLICATED THE ERRATIC LIGHT FLICKERING, RADIO AND IGNITION NOT WORKING, THE REAR DOOR NOT OPENING (USING THE CAR REMOTE AS WELL AS THE POWER BUTTON ON FRONT CONSOLE INSIDE VEHICLE). IN ADDITION, THE DOORS WON'T LOCK AND THE GAUGES FLICKER UNCONTROLLABLY AND THE VEHICLE WON'T START. WE ARE VERY CONCERNED. A DIAGNOSTIC SAYS NOTHING IS WRONG BUT WITH THE ELECTRICAL ISSUES, I AM FEARFUL OF WHAT COULD HAPPEN. *TR
DASHBOARD CRACKED AND SPLITTING MORE AT PRESENT TIME. WIRING SHOWING FROM INSIDE. WILL AIRBAGS DISENGAGE? *TR
DASH BOARD HAS TWO CRACKS. ONE IS NEAR PASSENGER AIR BAG THAT COULD CAUSE MALFUNCTION OF ITEM AND THE OTHER IS NEAR THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER. BOTH CRACKS ARE REPORTED TO BE CAUSED BY OVER TIGHTEN OF BOLTS BY THE MANUFACTURE. THIS IS NOT ONLY THE YUKON BUT THE TAHOE AS WELL. HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE HAVE REPORTED THE PROBLEM TO GM BUT THERE IS NO FIX BUT A FULL REPLACEMENT AT THE COST OF THE CONSUMER. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN WITH THE DASH BY THE AIR BAG AND ALSO THE STEERING OF THE VEHICLE IF THIS FURTHER CRACKS AND FALLS. *TR

DASH BOARD CRACKING
HAVE NEVER BEEN CONTACTED WHEN THE PARTS WERE AVAILBLE OR WHEN THE VEHICLE COOULD BE BROUGHT IN FOR THE RECALL CORRECTIONS
OUR 2008 GMC YUKON DENALI XL HAS DEVELOPED A CRACK IN THE DASHBOARD RIGHT AT THE CORNER OF THE AIRBAG. WE HAVE CONCERNS IF THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG EVER DEPLOYS, SHARP PIECES OF THE BROKEN DASH MAY BREAK LOOSE AND INJURE PASSENGERS IN OUR VEHICLE.
CRACKED DASHBOARD IN 2 PLACES. INCLUDING A CRACK INTO THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. I'M VERY CONCERNED DUE TO HAVING TWO 2 YEAR OLDS IN MY CAR. THE CRACKS BEGAN APPROXIMATELY 2 YEARS AGO. I HAVE AN ISSUE WITH MY YUKON 2008 DASHBOARD, IT IS CRACKED ON THE PASSENGER SIDE WHERE THE AIRBAG IS LOCATED AS WELL AS TODAY A BIG CRACK APPEARED OVER THE DRIVER SIDE WHERE THE INSTRUMENT PANEL HUMP IS LOCATED ON THE LEFT SIDE. I AM WORRIED THAT THE SAFETY DURING A COLLISION OR AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT FROM SHARP PLASTIC EXPOSED DUE TO THE CRACKS IN THE DASH CUTTING THE AIRBAG OR SHARDS OF PLASTIC BECOMING PROJECTILES POTENTIALLY CAUSING INJURY TO OCCUPANTS. I KEEP MY YUKON VERY CLEAN AND WELL MAINTAINED AND IT IS ALWAYS STORED IN MY GARAGE AND KEPT IN METICULOUS CONDITION AND LOOKS AND SMELLS NEW AND USE RIGOROUSLY A WINDSHIELD SUN GUARD TO PROTECT MY STEERING WHEEL AND DASHBOARD . I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE BACK IN 2008 AND BELIEVE IT WAS USED BY THE DEALERSHIP BECAUSE IT HAD MILES ON IT. I HAVE SEEN SEVERAL POSTS REGARDING THIS MANUFACTURING ISSUE AND MANY PEOPLE ARE COMPLAINING OF THE POOR MANUFACTURING MATERIALS USED ON THE DASHBOARD THAT MAKES THEM ALL CRACK ON THE SAME EXACT AREA I AM SPEAKING AS TO HAVE HAPPENED ON MINE. THE COST TO REPLACE IS APPROXIMATELY 800.00 WHICH INCLUDES PARTS AND LABOR. THIS SHOULDN'T BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CUSTOMER BUT OF THE MANUFACTURER AS THIS IS A DEFECTIVE PART. THIS IS RIDICULOUS TO HAVE PAID SO MUCH FOR A SUPPOSED QUALITY VEHICLE AND I WAS NEVER EXPECTING THIS HAPPENING AND THINK THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE; AND SEEING BY SO MANY COMMENTS ON THE SAME ISSUE THAT IT SHOULD BE A RECALL ITEM BECAUSE IT HAPPENS SO OFTEN IN THE SAME EXACT AREAS DUE TO THE SAFETY DURING A COLLISION CAUSING THE AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT FROM SHARP PLASTIC EXPOSED DUE TO THE CRACKS CAUSING THE PLASTIC TO PROJECT CAUSING POSSIBLE INJURY TO THE OCCUPANTS. *JS
THE DASH HAS SEVERELY CRACKED ON THE DASHBOARD SURROUNDING THE AIRBAG AND I FEAR IN THE CASE OF AN ACCIDENT THIS WOULD TURN INTO SHRAPNEL.
2008 GMC YUKON XL - 5 DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR FAILURES. ALL FOUR DOOR LOCKS HAVE FAILED AND NOW THE REAR PASSENGER LOCK ACTUATOR HAS FAILED FOR THE SECOND TIME. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE AS YOU EITHER HAVE TO DRIVE WITH THE DOOR UNLOCKED OR IF LOCKED YOU RISK NOT BEING ABLE TO GET A CHILD OUT QUICKLY IF NECESSARY. I HAVE CONTACTED GM AND THEY REFERRED THE ISSUE TO MY LOCAL REP WHO HAS DENIED COVERING THE PART, ACCORDING TO MY DEALER. MANY CASES OF THIS SAME FAILURE CAN BE FOUND ONLINE AND IN MY CASE, 5 FAILURES OF THE SAME PART. I WOULD SAY THIS INDICATES A PROBLEM. WHY WON'T GM ACKNOWLEDGE THIS AND OFFER TO FIX IT? WILL IT TAKES TRAGEDY LIKE A CHILD NOT BEING ABLE TO BE REMOVED IN AN EMERGENCY? *TR
WHILE PARKED IN A PARKING LOT, WAS LOADING THE VEHICLE WITH GROCERIES AND COULD NOT GET THE BACK LEFT DOOR CLOSED, WAS VERY UNSAFE COULD NOT DRIVE THE VEHICLE LIKE THAT, NOW THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR ON THE LEFT SIDE IS DOING THE SAME THING, VERY EXPENSIVE TO FIX, WAS TOLD THE RUBBER WAS DEFECTIVE AROUND BOTH DOORS AND THE LATCHES WERE RUSTED WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF THE DOOR FLEW OFF AND HIT SOMEONE ON THE HIGHWAY? WHO WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE? I THINK THIS ISSUE SHOULD HAVE DEFINITELY BEEN ON A SAFETY RECALL, NOW OF COURSE, THE WARRANTY HAD EXPIRED. *TR
MY STEERING POWER WAS COMPLETELY DOWN WITHOUT NO WARNING HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE THE GOOD THING IT HAPPEN WHEN I GOT AN OIL CHANGE... FRONT PASSENGER AND REAR PASSENGER DOOR LOCKS / LATCH WILL NOT OPEN UNLESS YOU DO IT MANUALLY. CAR HAD LESS THAN 80,000 MILES WHEN THIS TOOK PLACE. THIS IS A DANGEROUS SITUATION SPECIALLY WHEN AN EMERGENCY TAKES PLACE AND YOU NEED TO EXIT CAR FAST. THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL. *TR
I WAS DRIVING APPROX. 35 MPH AND SUDDENLY CRACKS STARTED FORMING AROUND THE AIRBAG AS WELL AS AROUND THE STEERING COLUMN. I AM CONCERNED FOR THE SAFETY OF OCCUPANTS IF AIRBAGS DEPLOY. *TR

DASH HAS CRACKED SEVERELY. I AM CONCERNED THAT IS THE AIRBAG DEPLOYS THAT THE SHARP HARD PLASTIC THAT IS CRACKED WILL CAUSE INJURY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 GMC YUKON HYBRID. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 10 MPH, THE POWER STEERING ASSIST FAILED WITHOUT WARNING AND THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME HARD TO TURN. THE FAILURE WAS RECURRING OVER A PERIOD OF ONE WEEK. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, WHO WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 86,500. ...UPDATED 05-13-14 *BF
INTERIOR DOOR HANDLES - CHROME PLATING IS PEELING AWAY FROM PLASTIC UNDERNEATH ON THE FRONT PASSENGER HANDLE. THIS PEELING CHROME CUTS FLESH. IT HAS BEEN RECALLED ON 'SOME' 2007 MODELS, HOWEVER, SINCE THIS IS CAUSING INJURY I BELIEVE IT SHOULD BE RECALLED/REPLACED ON ALL MODELS WITH CHROME PLATED HANDLES THAT INCUR THIS PROBLEM. IT SHOULD NOT MATTER THE YEAR/MAKE/MODEL OF THE VEHICLE. THIS IS A DEFECT ACROSS THE BOARD. *TR
DASH BOARD CRACK AT LEFT CORNER OF AIRBAG, CAN RESULT IN SHRAPNEL OR IMPEDE AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT. ALSO A CRACK ON THE DASH BOARD AT THE LEFT CORNER OF THE INSTRUMENT PANEL HAPPENED AT THE SAME TIME. *TR
DRIVING AT 70 MPH ON HIGHWAY. VEHICLE GAUGES BEGIN TO ACT ERRATICALLY, VEHICLE HEAVES AND LURCHES, THEN 100% POWER FAILURE. NOTHING WORKED, EVEN HAZZARD LIGHTS. AIRBAG LIGHT FLASHING ON AND OFF. WAS ABLE TO PUT VEHICLE IN NEUTRAL AND MOVE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WHERE THE VEHICLE STOPPED. THERE WAS NO POWER AT ALL, HAD TO MANUALLY OPEN DOOR LOCKS. AFTER 10-15 MINUTES, THE POWER CAME BACK ON AND I WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE AND DRIVE HOME. HAPPENED AGAIN ON 3/23/14. AGAIN DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS, THE ELECTRIC COMPONENTS (RADIO, GAUGES, POWER CORD ACCESSORIES) BEGIN ACTING ERRATICALLY AND THEN 100% COMPLETE POWER FAILURE WHILE DRIVING. THE GM DEALER CANNOT DUPLICATE OR FIND THE PROBLEM. I FEEL 100% UNSAFE IN THE VEHICLE ESPECIALLY WITH MY KIDS. *TR

I SLOWLY PULL INTO A PARKING LOT (2-3 MPH) AND THE PEDAL GOES ALMOST TO THE FLOOR. ALMOST CANNOT STOP. B). I SHUT OFF THE VEHICLE AND RESTART BUT THE LIGHTS COME ON AS SOON AS I PRESS ON THE BRAKE. I DO THIS SEVERAL MORE TIME, CHECK BRAKE FLUID RESERVOIR BUT THE SAME RESULTS. C). AFTER ABOUT THE 6 TIME RESTARTING, I HEAR A SMALL MOTOR RUNNING ( BRAKE ACCUMULATOR / MODULATOR ? ) AND THE PEDAL BEGINS TO GET FIRM AGAIN AND THE WARNING ANNUNCIATORS EXTINGUISHED. D). I CONTINUED DRIVING HOME SLOWLY WITH NO FURTHER FAULTS. DIDN'T THINK OF CHECKING THE VOLTAGE UNTIL EVERYTHING WAS GOOD, AT THAT POINT IT WAS INDICATING 15VDC. THIS PROBLEM HAS OCCURRED INTERMITTENTLY MANY TIMES SINCE THEN. HAVE TAKEN TO KEEPING ONE FOOT ON EMERGENCY BRAKE. THE DEALERSHIP REPLACED BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER BUT THIS DID NOT FIX PROBLEM. DEALER ORDERED THE ELECTRIC PUMP (BRAKE MODULATOR) AND TWO WEEKS LATER DEALERSHIP STATES GM CANNOT LOCATE ANY PARTS TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. PART REMAINS ON ORDER. VEHICLE NOT OPERABLE WITHOUT BRAKES. *TR
THE DASHBOARD IN OUR YUKON HAS CRACKED JUST IN BACK OF THE AIRBAG. THE CONCERN IS IF THE AIRBAG EVER HAS TO DEPLOY, THE AIRBAG WILL EITHER TEAR RENDERING THE AIRBAG USELESS, OR THE DASHBOARD WILL SHATTER SENDING PLASTIC PIECES THROUGHOUT THE FRONT AND BACK SEATS AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED. I'VE DONE ENOUGH RESEARCH TO KNOW THIS IS A WIDE SPREAD PROBLEM, YET GM IS ONLY OFFERING TO PAY FOR HALF OF THIS EXPENSIVE REPLACEMENT. IN THE MEAN TIME I HAVE PARKED THIS VEHICLE AND WILL NOT ALLOW MY WIFE TO DRIVE THIS WITH OUR TWO CHILDREN. *TR
I PURCHASED A NEW 2008 GMC YUKON DENALI IN JANUARY OF 2008 .THIS CAR HAS 60000 MILES ON IT AND HAS NEVER BEEN IN A ACCIDENT .I HAVE REPLACED ALL 4 TIRES ON THE TRUCK DUE TO A CONSTANT LOSE OF AIR IN THE TIRES TO FIND OUT AFTER REPLACING THE TIRES THAT THE LOSE OF AIR IS DUE TO THE AIR LEAKING THRU THE RIMS .I UNDERSTAND THAT YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE WEAR AND TEAR ON A VEHICLE BUT IN ALL OF MY 30 YEARS OF DRIVING I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THE RIMS GOING BAD ON A CAR. AS I SEE IT THE RIMS ARE LIKE THE FOUNDATION OF A HOUSE AND SHOULD LAST THE LIFE OF THE TRUCK . YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE TO REPLACE SUCH AN ITEM ,ALSO AFTER LOOKING ON LINE AND CONTACTING THE DEALER IT HAS BEEN BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH SEVERAL GM TRUCKS MADE BETWEEN 2006-2010.ALSO AS A RESULT OF THE AIR LEAKING OUT AS THE TRUCK WAS BEING DRIVEN BY MY WIFE SHE MADE A TURN AND AS SHE WAS TURNING THE TIRE GAVE OUT DUE TO A LOSE IN PRESSURE. *TR
3 LARGE CRACKS THAT ARE THE ENTIRE LENGTH OF THE DASHBOARD.
CRACKING OF DASH AROUND THE FRONT LEFT PORTION OF PASSENGER AIRBAG, IDENTICAL TO THOUSANDS OF OTHER PEOPLE WHO HAVE SAME EXACT CRACKING. CRACKING NOW SPREADING. THIS IS A GARAGE KEPT VEHICLE, PURCHASED NEW BY ME.
THE UPPER DASHBOARD KEEPS DEVELOPING CRACKS IN THE PLASTIC AROUND THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. I SEE THIS AS A SAFETY ISSUE. IF THE AIRBAGS WERE TO DEPLOY, I DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH ADDITIONAL DAMAGE TO THE PASSENGER DUE TO BROKEN PIECES OF PLASTIC DASHBOARD FLYING AT THE PASSENGER. *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 GMC YUKON DENALI. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN ENTERING THE VEHICLE, THE AIR BAG WARNING LAMP ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND DIAGNOSED AS HAVING A DEFECTIVE AIRBAG SENSOR. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE INCIDENT. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 62000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
DOOR LOCK ACTUATORS. THREE OF FOUR DOOR ACTUATORS ARE BROKEN AND LOCKS MUST BE CONTROLLED MANUALLY. GMC WANTED 655.00 TO FIX THE TWO I KNEW WERE BROKEN. GMC IS WELL AWARE OF THE THOUSANDS OF COMPLAINTS OF THIS DEFECTIVE PART. I WAS NOT AWARE THE THIRD LOCK HAD FAILED UNTIL MY SON OPENED A BACK DOOR AND STEPPED INTO TRAFFIC. I WAS UNDER THE IMPRESSION HIS DOOR WAS LOCKED. ALL I COULD DO WAS SCREAM AT THE TOP OF MY LUNGS IN AN ATTEMPT TO KEEP HIM FROM GETTING HIT BY TRAFFIC. DOES IT TAKE A DEATH OR SEVERAL DEATHS BEFORE GMC RECALLS THIS DEFECTIVE PART?!!! THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE WHEN YOU HAVE A CHILD IN THE CAR AND SHOULD BE LOOKED AT BEFORE AN INJURY OF DEATH OCCUR. *TR

FINGER WAS CUT BY FLAKING CHROME PLATING ON DRIVERS SIDE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE. *TR
OUR 2008 GMC YUKON DENALI XL HAS DEVELOPED 3 SEPARATE CRACKS IN THE DASHBOARD. ONE IS RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE TOP OF THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG, ONE IS A VERY LARGE CRACK NEAR THE WINDSHIELD AND RUNNING UP OVER THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND ONE IS ON DRIVER SIDE NEAR LARGE CRACK AT INSTRUMENT PANEL. WE HAVE CONCERNS IF THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG EVER DEPLOYS, SHARP PIECES OF THE BROKEN DASH MAY BREAK LOOSE AND INJURE PASSENGERS IN OUR VEHICLE.
DRIVER SIDE POWER DOOR LOCKS WORK INTERMITTENTLY. HORN SOUNDS INDICATING DOOR IS LOCKED HOWEVER IT DOESN'T LOCK. ALSO REMOTE START DOES WORK LEAVING VEHICLE A TARGET FOR THEFT. ALSO THREE OF FOUR OF THE EXTERIOR DOOR HANDLES BROKE AND HAD TO BE REPLACED. *TR
