The instrument panel on my car is not working so I don’t know if it has any gas in it or not. I know the gauges work also my windows don’t go up or down in my sunroof does not open or close.
SRS My safety and other person in my car in case of accident worries no air bag protection in case of accident.. YES. Diamond Valley Honda code 7-2 need to start with replacing SRS unit, 2 to 3 wks. to repair meanwhile no transportation. Who knows what els entails. NO not that I know of. It’s in the hands of Diamond Valley Honda Hemet, CA YES warning light yesterday 7/13/2022 coming from my doctor office Wildomar, CA.
ONE DAY JUST LIKE THAT I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM WORK AND I CAME TO A RED LIGHT SO AFTER COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN MY CAR WAS ON IN DRIVE AND I ACCELERATED AND THE CAR JUST WOULDN'T MOVE. GOT IT TOWED AND I GOT CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CODES AND IT WAS P0401 AND P0108 SO I CLEANED THE EGR VALVE AND BOUGHT A NEW MAP SENSOR AND INSTALLED IT. THE CAR HAD A NEW BATTERY, THE TRANSMISSION OIL WAS FULL AND WITH NO VISIBLE BLACK COLOR OR SMELL, THE CAR STARTED BUT WOULD NOT GET INTO GEAR AND JUST WOULDN'T MOVE. CALLED A SPECIALIST MECHANIC AND HE BROUGHT HIS TOOL TO CHECK THE WHOLE COMPUTER PART OF THE CAR WICH IS THE NEXT BEST THING TO TOWING IT TO A TRANSMISSION SHOP, THE RESULT CAME BACK INCONCLUSIVE WITH ALMOST CERTAIN TRANSMISSION FAILURE. AFTER CORONA A LOST OF VEHICLE AND JOB I AM JUDT ABOUT TO SELL IT AS IS CUT MY LOSSES AND MAYBE BUY A BICYCLE FOR NOW. I JUST NEED TO LEAVE ABOUT ONE HOUR BEFORE WORK AND BUY A GOOD AXE BODY SHOWER SPRAY AND ATTACH LIFE ONES AGAIN.
The contact owns a 1996 Honda Accord. The contact stated that the SRS air bag warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the SRS unit needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 100,100.
CAME TO A RED LIGHT THEN TRIED TO DRIVE AND THE WHILE STILL ON WOULD NOT MOVE, IT WAS IF LIKE IN DIDN'T ENGAGE THE GEAR, WHEN I PUT ON GAS THE ONLY THING IT WOULD DO IS THE RPM WOULD GO UP BUT THE SPEEDOMETER WOULDN'T.
TAKATA RECALL. I WAS IN A ACCIDENT ON SYCAMORE STREET IN BATON ROUGE LOUISIANA ON 1/3/18 AND A PIECE OF METAL SHARD PUNCTURED MY LEG AND FRACTURE MY TIBIA. I WAS TREATED FOR CONTUSIONS OF CHEST WALL ALSO AT OCHSNER ON O'NEAL LANE . I'M CURRENTLY ON BEDREST AND HAVE TO REMAIN OF MY LEG AND CAN'T RETURN TO WORK UNTIL I HAVE A FOLLOW-UP ON 1/9/18. TAKATA RECALL NOTICE WAS SENT TO ME ON 10/31/2017. I KEY IN MY VIN AND IT MEETS THE AIRBAG RECALL OR REPLACE REQUIREMENT. I THEN FOLLOWING THE ONLINE INSTRUCTION AND CALL A LOCAL HONDA AUTHRIZED DEALER. THEY ANSWERED MY CALL AND CHECK THE VIN TO SEE IF MY 1996 HONDA 2 DOOR HATCHBACK ACCORD MEETS THE AIRBAG REPLACEMENT. THEY TOLD ME THAT MY VEHICLE DOES NOT MEET THE AIRBAG REPLACE/RECALL SERVICE. I AM FILING THIS COMPLAINT TO BRING THE ATTENTION TO THE NHTSA REGARDING THIS SAFETY ISSUE.
MY ALTERNATOR IS NOT CHARGING MY BATTERY. MY WIRE HARNESS IS HAVING A FAULTY AND I CAN'T FIGURE IT OUT
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 1996 HONDA ACCORD. WHILE STATIONARY AND DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND REMAINED LIT OVER A PERIOD OF TIME. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SPEEDOMETER WOULD NOT RECORD THE PROPER SPEED/MILEAGE. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BATTERY WAS DRAINED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS AND THE BATTERY LIFE OF THE VEHICLE LASTED SIX MONTHS OR LESS. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 185,736.
TAKATA RECALL. I HAVE A 10 YEAR OLD HONDA ACCORD THAT IS WELL WITHIN THE DANGER ZONE FOR RECALL FOR AIRBAG FAILURE. TODAYS WASHINGTON POST SAYS TAKATA ADMITS THE PROBLEM AND SAYS IT WILL RECALL 40 MILLION AFFECTED VEHICLES. I SHOULD BE HIGH ON THE PRIORITY LIST CAN YOU HELP ME ASSURE THIS?.
AIR BAG LIGHT COMES ON, WON'T GO OFF. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON SINCE APRIL 2016. LIGHT COMES ON WHEN CAR IS STARTED, AND STAYS ON WHILE DRIVING TILL CAR IS TURNED OFF. I READ THIS IS AN ONGOING THING. WHY ISN'T THERE A RECALL ON THIS PROBLEM? THE COST TO HAVE THIS FIXED IS HALF THE VALUE OF WHAT THE CAR IS WORTH.

SRS SYSTEM LIGHT ON AFTER CAR IS RUNNING, APPROX. COST TO REPAIR 900.00 .IS THERE A RECALL ON THIS PROBLEM , SEEMS THERE IS A LOT OF PEOPLE EXPERIENCING SAME AS MYSELF . *TR
AS I PREPARED TO SLOW TO A STOP IN A RELATIVES CIRCULAR DRIVEWAY, THE ENGINE BEGAN TO REV UP WITH A HIGH PITCHED WHINE. I TURNED THE WHEEL TO AVOID HITTING A PARKED CAR IN HOPES OF STOPPING THE CAR BUT IT CONTINUED TO GAIN SPEED AND ENDED UP HITTING A PICKUP IN THE SAME CIRCULAR DRIVEWAY. THE BRAKES DID NOT SEEM TO FUNCTION AS THE CAR PICKED UP SPEED.
I HAD A 1996 HONDA ACCORD V6 2.7 LITERS WITH SRS LIGHT STAYS ON. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE HONDA DEALERSHIP AND I WAS TOLD THAT THE SRS CONTROL MODULE UNIT HAS A FAILURE AND NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE UNIT PRICE IS OVER $700 DOLLAR WITHOUT INSTALLATION LABOR. I TALKED TO AMERICAN HONDA MOTOR AND THEY REFUSED TO ASSIST FIXING THIS SAFETY CONCERN. HONDA SUPPOSE TO LOWER THE PRICES FOR PARTS ON OLDER CARS TO MATCH THE CURRENT VALUE OF THE CAR.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 1996 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, THE ENGINE RPMS INCREASED EXCESSIVELY AS THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR A DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 192,000. *TR
I WAS DRIVING MY 96 ACCORD AT 45 MPH ON A SPRING DAY AND IT SHUT OFF AS THOUGH I HAD TURNED THE KEY OFF. IT WOULD RESTART FOR AS LONG AS THE KEY WAS HELD IN THE "START" POSITION, BUT AS SOON AS THE KEY WAS RELEASED (TO NORMAL OPERATING POSITION) IT WOULD DIE. THE CAUSE WAS A FAULTY IGNITION SWITCH WHICH I HAD REPLACED BY A REPAIR TECHNICIAN. WHILE I FORTUNATELY SUFFERED NO HARM, HAD IT HAPPENED TRAVELING UPHILL OR THROUGH AN INTERSECTION THE RESULTS COULD HAVE BEEN DISASTROUS. *TR
I HAVE A 1996 HONDA ACCORD WHICH WAS SUDDENLY STALLING WITH ALL THE POWER DOWN FOR FEW MINUTES. AFTER FEW TESTS MY MECHANIC SAID THE PROBLEM IS WITH IGNITION KEY SWITCH. AFTER SPENDING $600 PLUS THE PROBLEM STOPPED. AFTER RESEARCHING I FOUND OUT THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THE SAME PROBLEM BUT FOR MODEL YEAR 1997 ONWARDS FOR THE SAME CAR. AFTER FURTHER RESEARCH I FOUND THAT THERE WERE LOT OF PEOPLE ON THE MODEL YEAR 1996 WHO COMPLAINED ABOUT THE SAME PROBLEM BUT WHOSE CAR WERE NOT RECALLED AND FIXED BY HONDA. SO I THINK HONDA SHOULD ALL INCLUDE THE MODEL YEAR 1996 FOR RECALL OR REIMBURSE PEOPLE LIKE MYSELF WHO HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AND WHOSE CAR WERE NOT RECALLED AND WHO ENDED UP SPENDING HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS. HONDA SHOULD HAVE INCLUDED MODEL YEAR 1996 ALONG WITH OTHER YEAR FOR RECALL.
SRS LIGHT IS ON (AIR BAG). JUST NOTICED IT COME ON WHILE DRIVING. TOO EXPENSIVE TO FIX, WILL COST HALF WHAT CAR IS WORTH. WHY IS THEIR NO RECALL? SEAMS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM. IT'S BEEN LIKE THIS FOR LONG TIME.
TAKATA INFLATORS & SAFETY BELT FAILED ON IMPACT IN MOTION ON THE HIGHWAY.
STARTED UP CAR AND THE SRS LIGHT WAS ON. STILL REMAINS ON AFTER RUNNING AND DRIVING N FOR OVER 60 MILES .. CAR HAS NOT HAD ANY ACCIDENTS, HASN'T BEEN DRIVEN MUCH BECAUSE IT IS A SECOND CAR .. UPDATED 01/20/11 *BF
1996 HONDA ACCORD BRAKE LINES UNDER CAR RUSTED THRU TO FAILURE WHERE PLASTIC CLAMPS HOLD THEM IN PLACE. BRAKES FAILED CANNOT SEE CORROSION WITH OUT REMOVING PLASTIC COVER. FUEL LINE ALSO SEVERLY RUSTED IN SAME LOCATION WHERE CLAMPED. *TR
HONDA ACCORD 1996, WINDOWS AUTOMATICALLY OPEN WHEN THE VEHICLE IS NOT OCCUPIED, BUT IS PARKED AND LOCKED. UPON RETURN, HONDA ACCORD WINDOWS ARE OPEN TO HALF WAY. THIS CREATES A DANGER FOR THE OWNER OF THE VEHICLE AS IF PARKED WHEN THERE IS NO DAYLIGHT, SOMEONE COULD ENTER THE VEHICLE UNKNOWN TO THE DRIVER, OR CARJACKING COULD OCCUR DUE TO EASY ENTRY TO VEHICLE AS WELL AS CAR THEFT TO INTERIOR OF VEHICLE AND TRUNK OF VEHICLE. THIS HAS BEEN REPORTED TO HONDA AND STATED ANSWER IS - WHEN KEY IS CLICKED MORE THEN ONCE, THIS WILL CAUSE WINDOWS TO OPEN, EVEN WHEN OWNER IS INDOORS AND ACCIDENTALLY HITS THE KEY. THIS IS A POTENTIALLY LIFE THREATENING PROBLEM. *TR
IN 1996 V6 HONDA ACCORD, THE SRS LIGHT COME ON AND SEVERAL TRIALS WERE DONE TO ERASE THE FAULT. THE DEALER TOLD ME THAT THE SRS CONTROL MODULE NEED TO BE REPLACED AT $800 COST. DEALER TOLD THAT THE AIRBAG WILL NOT BE DEPLOYED IN CASE OF AN ACCIDENTS. *TR
1996 HONDA ACCORD. CONSUMER STATES BRAKE FAILURE *TGW THE CONSUMER STATED WHEN SHE APPLIED THE BRAKE PEDAL, IT WAS VERY HARD AND THE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR AND THE VEHICLE DID NOT STOP. AFTER THE ACCIDENT, THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED AND IT APPEARED THE BRAKE FLUID LEAKED OUT OF THE ABS RESERVOIR. *JB

1996 HONDA ACCORD. DRIVING ON FREEWAY ON THE THIRD LINE. SUDDENLY CAR LIGHTS ON THE FRONT PANEL TURN ON. ENGINE STOPPED. CAR SLOWED DOWN AND ALMOST WAS HIT BY A TRUCK ON THE REAR OF THE CAR. FELT LIKE THE TRUCK WOULD READ END MY CAR AND THAT WAS THE DAY TO DIE. EMERGENCY LIGHTS WERE TURN ON. WHILE THE CAR WAS MOVING, THE ENGINE STARTED AFTER SO TRYING SO MAN TIMES AND GOT CAR OUT OF THE FREEWAY. AFTER EXITING THE FREEWAY, THE CAR LIGHTS CAME ON AND ENGINE STOPPED WORKING. A TOW TRUCK TOOK THE CAR TO A SHOP, WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED THAT A IGNITION ELECTRICAL SWITCHED IS BAD FAULTY. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 1996 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, SHE ATTEMPTED TO ENGAGE THE BRAKES BUT THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS AN INCREASE IN THE ENGINE RPMS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE THROTTLE BODY NEEDED TO BE CLEANED. THE REMEDY FAILED TO REPAIR THE PROBLEM. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 163,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 173,000.
THIS IS THE SECOND CONTACT ON THIS CAR. THE SRS LIGHT HAS BEEN SINCE APPROXIMATELY SINCE 01/05/2010. I HAVE NEVER BEEN CONTACTED ABOUT A RECALL.. *TR
I OWN A 1996 HONDA ACCORD LX WHICH HAS A FAULTY DRIVER SIDE SEAT BELT. I DON'T HAVE THE MONEY TO FIX THE PROBLEM AND IS QUITE EXPENSIVE. THIS HAPPENED 4 OR FIVE MONTHS AGO AND IS, OF COURSE, A SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN. NOW, AS OF THIS DATE, THE SRS LIGHT HAS COME ON WHICH APPARENTLY IS ANOTHER SAFETY CONCERN DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE AIRBAGS WILL NOT DEPLOY. *TR
BRIDGESTONE WEATHERFORCE PLUS TIRES SIZE P185/65R15 INSTALLED ON 1996 HONDA ACCORD. TIRE MILEAGE ONLY 14,368. I WAS DRIVING APPROX. 64MPH ON THE FREEWAY WHEN THE BACK END OF MY CAR BEGAN TO WIGGLE AND PULL TO THE LEFT. NEXT, I HEARD LOUD "FLUB-BUDDY" SOUNDS. I IMMEDIATELY EASED OFF THE ACCELERATOR, PUNCHED THE EMERGENCY BLINKING LIGHTS AND MADE MY WAY OVER TO THE FREEWAY SHOULDER. THE SIDEWALL OF THE LEFT REAR TIRE WAS SHREDDED AND THE STEM VALVE WAS PARTIALLY TORN FROM THE TIRE. PEOPLE WHO HELPED ME FOLLOWING THE INCIDENT MENTIONED THAT THE TIRE MAY HAVE BEEN DEFECTIVE. THE NEXT DAY I TOOK UP THE MATTER WITH SEARS WHERE I HAD PURCHASED THE TIRES, BUT THE MANAGER THERE PUT IT DOWN TO "ROAD HAZARD", AND SINCE I DID NOT PURCHASE "RH" INSURANCE WHEN I GOT THE TIRES, HE COULDN'T/WOULDN'T HELP ME AND SUGGESTED I TAKE UP THE MATTER WITH BRIDGESTONE. IF THE INCIDENT WAS CAUSED BY ROAD HAZARD, WHY WEREN'T OTHER CARS AROUND ME AFFECTED? SINCE THEN, I HAVE RESEARCHED THE INTERNET AND DISCOVERED OTHER DRIVERS WHO HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH EITHER THIS BRAND NAME AND/OR THIS TIRE LINE. I WAS LUCKY THERE WAS NO ONE IN THE LANE TO MY LEFT WHEN THE TIRE MALFUNCTIONED. I HIT NO ONE NOR WAS I HIT BY EITHER THE CARS BEHIND ME OR IN THE LANE TO MY RIGHT AS I MADE MY WAY OVER TO THE FREEWAY SHOULDER. IT IS TO BE HOPED THAT OTHER PEOPLE WITH THE SAME TIRES BE AS FORTUNATE. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 1996 HONDA ACCORD. THE VEHICLE HAS AN IGNITION SWITCH ISSUE. ONCE THE KEY IS RELEASED FROM THE IGNITION, THE VEHICLE STALLS. THE FAILURE OCCURRED AT A STORE ONCE AND THE VEHICLE COULD NOT BE STARTED. THE MECHANIC INITIALLY THOUGHT THERE WAS A LOOSE CONNECTION ON THE BATTERY, BUT HE LATER DISCOVERED THAT IT WAS A SWITCH ISSUE. THE IGNITION SWITCH WAS REPLACED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE 1997 ACCORDS ARE UNDER RECALL FOR THIS SAME FAILURE, BUT NOT THE 1996 ACCORDS. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 185,000. UPDATED 6/8/09 *CN UPDATED 06/11/09.*JB
POWER DOOR LOCKS HAVE BEEN MAKING A LOUD NOISE WHEN LOCKED FOR THE PAST YEAR. TWO WEEKS AGO THE REAR HATCH BACK LOCK OPENS AND THEN CLOSES ON ITS OWN MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO OPEN THE HATCH. EVEN IF THE BUTTON IS HELD UP MANUALLY THE HATCH WILL NOT OPEN. ALL OTHER FOUR DOORS WORK PROPERLY. *TR

96 HONDA ACCORD LX 2.2L TRANSMISSION FAILURE AT 79,758 MILES. A REBUILT TRANSMISSION WAS INSTALLED ON 11/28/08 DUE TO TRANSMISSION CONSTANTLY SLIPPING AND ACTUALLY LEAVING MY 23 YR OLD SON, AWAY AT SCHOOL STRANDED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE EXPRESSWAY. I HAVE READ ONLINE THAT MANY HONDA ACCORD OWNERS HAVE HAD TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS AS WELL. I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO NOTE THAT AMERICAN HONDA NEVER CONTACTED US REF TO THE EMISSIONS WARRANTY BEING EXTENDED TO 14 YEARS OR 150,000 MILES [BULLETIN 98-081 HTTP://WWW.EPA.GOV/OTAQ/CERT/RECALL/FR33394.HTM ]. WE FOUND OUT OURSELVES WHILE ON THE INTERNET LAST MONTH DOING RESEARCH ON HONDA TRANSMISSIONS. THE REBUILT TRANSMISSION REPLACED 11/28/08 FAILED US AGAIN WHEN OUR SON WAS RETURNING TO ORLANDO. WE HAD TO GO AND TOW THE CAR BACK TO MIAMI FOR ADDITIONAL TRANSMISSION REPAIRS. THIS TIME IT WAS DUE TO A TORQUE CONVERTER FAILURE. *TR

1996 HONDA ACCORD LX. PURCHASED A NEW CIGARETTE PHONE CHARGER, PLUGGED IT INTO THE LIGHTER WHICH BLEW THE FUSE THAT CONTROLS THE LIGHTER AND RADIO. REPLACED FUSE AND VERIFIED POWER WAS RESTORED TO AFOREMENTIONED ELECTRONICS. CONSEQUENTLY, ADDITIONALLY NOTED THAT THE SRS LIGHT WAS NOW ALSO ILLUMINATED. TOOK CAR TO MECHANIC, WHO DIAGNOSED PROBLEM TO BE A FRIED SRS CONTROL UNIT. IN ADDITION WAS TOLD THAT THIS SHOP HAS SEEN MANY OF SAME ERA HONDAS WITH SAME PROBLEM... THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH THE UNIT NOT BEING GROUNDED, ALLOWING OTHER SIMPLE FUSE FAILURES TO BACK FEED THE UNIT AND DESTROY IT. HONDA DOES NOT HAVE A RECALL ON THERE 1996 AIRBAG SYSTEM; HOWEVER THE 1995 HAD A PROBLEM... THE REPLACEMENT PART IS AN "UPDATED" PART WITH NEW FEATURES TO PREVENT SIMILAR FAILURES OF RE-OCCURRENCE. $750.00 FOR PART AND LABOR TO INSTALL. THIS IS CLEARLY AN MANUFACTURE DEFECT. *TR

THE CONTACT EXAMINED THE TIRES AND NOTICED A BULGE NEAR THE TREAD ON THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE TIRE. THE BULGE WAS THE SIZE OF A GOLF BALL. WHILE DRIVING AT NORMAL FREEWAY SPEED, ENGINE SUDDENLY QUIT, TACHOMETER DROPPED TO ZERO, FAN, RADIO STILL WORKED. A FEW SECONDS LATER WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STILL COASTING, ENGINE STARTED AGAIN. THIS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES, QUITE SCARY, AND DANGEROUS WITH TWO KIDS IN THE CAR ON A BUSY FREEWAY. *AK

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS SEVERELY DAMAGED AND WAS NOT DRIVABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE HASN'T BEEN ANY MAINTENANCE WORK DONE ON THE AIRBAGS . *AK
I UNDERSTAND THAT ANY PART THAT HAS TO DO WITH CAR SAFETY NEEDS TO BE CORRECTED BY THE DEALER. YET, I CONTACTED BOTH THE DEALER AND AMERICAN HONDA MOTOR CO. INC. BOTH OF THEM REFUSED TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. THEY EVEN TOLD ME THAT THEIR SUPERVISOR'S NEVER CONTACT OR TALK TO CAR OWNERS. MY AIRBAG LIGHT INDICATOR HAS ILLUMINATED INDICATING A PROBLEM AND A MALFUNCTION IN THE AIRBAG SYSTEM. I AM VERY CONCERNED THAT I MAY HAVE AN ACCIDENT AND I WILL NOT BE PROTECTED BY MY AIRBAG. PLEASE HELP ME RESOLVE THIS MATTER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. PLEASE NOTE THAT I HAVE NOT BEEN IN ACCIDENT. IT BEGAN A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO INTERMITTENTLY. THE CAR WOULD STOP RUNNING FOR NO REASON. IT WOULD START UP AGAIN WITH NO PROBLEM. NOW, THE CAR WILL ONLY RUN WHILE HOLDING THE KEY BETWEEN THE RUN AND START POSITION. AS WHEN IT BEGAN HAPPENING, IT DOES NOT MATTER IF THE CAR IS IN GEAR OR NOT, SITTING IDLE OR DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY. *JB

RESPONDED TO A TRAFFIC COLLISION AND AFTER INVESTIGATION, WE FOUND WHAT APPEARED TO BE A PARTIAL DEPLOYMENT OF THE DRIVER'S AND PASSENGER'S AIRBAG. THE STEERING WHEEL AIRBAG COVER SPLIT PARTIALLY OPEN AS DID THE PASSENGER'S, BUT THE AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY. VEHICLE INFORMATION: 1996 HONDA ACCORD 2-DOOR.
