TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 HONDA LX. THE CONTACT WAS TRAVELING 40 MPH WHEN THE SRS WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 153,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 153,052. UPDATED 08/21/12*LJ
RECENTLY I HEARD A CLUNKING SOUND COMING FROM THE FRONT OF THE CAR. UPON INSPECTION THE MECHANIC SAID THAT THE SUB FRAME ON THE PASSENGER'S SIDE HAD RUSTED/ROTTED OUT AND THAT THE FRONT SUSPENSION HAD COME LOOSE FROM THE SUB FRAME. HE SAID THAT THE CAR WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE AND THAT I NEEDED TO HAVE IT REPAIRED IMMEDIATELY. I CALLED SUNNYSIDE HONDA AND SPOKE WITH THE SERVICE MANAGER REGARDING THE PROBLEM. I SAID THAT I HAD LOOKED ON THE INTERNET AND THIS WAS A HONDA DESIGN DEFECT AND THAT NUMEROUS INDIVIDUALS HAD REPORTED THE SAME PROBLEM. I ASKED IF HONDA WAS WILLING TO DO ANYTHING TO HELP WITH THE REPAIR BECAUSE IT WAS A DESIGN DEFECT AND THAT I HAD BEEN A LOYAL HONDA CUSTOMER FOR YEARS. THE SERVICE MANAGER CONTACTED HONDAS DISTRICT SERVICE MANAGER WHO REPLIED THAT HONDA WAS NOT WILLING TO COVER ANY OF THE $2,000.00 COST OF REPLACING THE SUB FRAME. I THEN FOLLOWED UP WITH AMERICAN HONDA MOTOR CO., INC.'S MAIN CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT IN CALIFORNIA. I SPOKE WITH [XXX] AND SHE PUT ME ON HOLD FOR A LONG TIME. WHEN SHE RETURNED SHE SAID THAT THE DISTRICT SERVICE MANAGER HAD SAID HONDA WAS NOT GOING TO DO ANYTHING TO HELP SO THE MAIN CUSTOMER SERVICE PEOPLE WERE NOT ABLE TO DO ANYTHING TO HELP. A SHORT TIME AGO MY GRANDSON, A STUDENT AT BOWLING GREEN STATE UNIVERSITY, PURCHASED A 1998 HONDA ACCORD FOR $4000.00. UPON RECENT INSPECTION OF THAT CAR THE SUB FRAME HAS RUSTED/ROTTED OUT THE SAME AS MY CAR AND MANY OTHER HONDA ACCORDS. I BELIEVE THAT HONDA SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR RECALLING AND REPAIRING THESE UNSAFE AUTOMOBILES BEFORE SOMEONE IS INJURED OR KILLED AS A RESULT OF THEIR DESIGN DEFECT AND THAT THEY WILL CONTINUE TO BE UNWILLING TO DO SO AS LONG AS INDIVIDUALS HAVE NO POWER TO MAKE THEM TAKE RESPONSIBILITY. I AM ASKING THAT YOU MAKE IT A PRIORITY TO INVESTIGATE AND ISSUE A RECALL OF ALL THESE AUTOMOBILES WITH HONDA'S DESIGN DEFECT. I WOULD LIKE TO CALL TO YOUR ATTENTION ABC'S INVESTIGATION INTO HONDA ACCORDS FOR DANGEROUS RUSTED/ROTTED SUB-FRAMES. THE CENTER FOR AUTO SAFETY IN WASHINGTON D.C. IS CALLING ON HONDA TO ISSUE A VOLUNTARY RECALL FOR ONE AND ONE-HALF MILLION 1998 THROUGH 2002 HONDA ACCORDS DUE TO RUST THAT IS QUIETLY EATING AWAY AT A MAJOR STRUCTURAL COMPONENT. THE CENTER FOR AUTO SAFETY'S EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR [XXX] SAID, "THERE'S NO QUESTION THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN. WHAT YOU HAVE ARE HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF OWNERS DRIVING THE ROADS ON A VEHICLE THAT MAY SUFFER CATASTROPHIC FRAME FAILURE DUE TO CORROSION." [XXX] IS CALLING ON HONDA TO NOTIFY OWNERS TO HAVE THEIR VEHICLES INSPECTED. "SOONER OR LATER," SAID [XXX], "SOMEONE IS GOING TO BE KILLED, THERE'S GOING TO BE A BIG PRODUCT LIABILITY LAWSUIT AND HONDA VERY WELL MAY WIND UP PAYING MORE IN LITIGATION COSTS THEN IN DOING WHAT THEY SHOULD BE DOING -- WHICH IS DO A RECALL TODAY." RECORDS ABC NEWS OBTAINED FROM NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRANSPORTATION SAFETY ADMINISTRATION DETAIL SIMILAR COMPLAINTS, INCLUDING SUB-FRAMES THAT WERE DESCRIBED AS "UNSAFE, FAILED INSPECTION AND IN DANGEROUS CONDITION." I BELIEVE THAT THIS DANGEROUS SITUATION NEEDS TO BE BROUGHT TO YOUR ATTENTION. HONDA WILL JUST TRY TO WAIT OUT THE SITUATION AND HOPE THAT IT WILL GO AWAY IF IT DOES NOT GET PRESSURE FROM NHTSA AND OWNERS ACROSS THE NATION. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 05V0250000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) AND CONTACTED THE MANUFACTURER, WHO STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT SHE WAS ABLE TO REMOVE THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION WHILE THE TRANSMISSION WAS IN DRIVE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE WHO DID NOT OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 05V025000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:IGNITION:SWITCH). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 123,400 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE 123,800.
RED "SRS" LIGHT CAME ON IN JULY 2012 AND HAS NEVER GONE OFF SINCE. I HAVE THE NOTICE FROM HONDA DATED SPRING 2006 ABOUT THIS PROBLEM AND HOW THEY ARE COVERING THIS PROBLEM FOR 10 YEARS OR 150,000 MILES. I CALLED HONDA IN CA AT 800-999-1009 ON 8/23/12 AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY WILL NOT COVER THE REPAIR BECAUSE THE CAR IS OVER 10 YEARS FROM ITS JUNE 2000 BUILT DATE. THE CAR HAD 130100 MILES ON THE DAY I CALLED. FUNNY THING IS THAT THEY WILL COVER ANY SEAT BELT PROBLEM FOR THE LIFE OF THE CAR REGARDLESS OF THE NUMBER OF OWNERS BUT THEY WON'T COVER THE SRS AIRBAG SYSTEM, I CALLED MY LOCAL HONDA DEALER WHERE I BOUGHT THE CAR FROM AND THE SERVICE MANAGER TOLD ME TO BRING IT IN NOW, WHICH I DID. THEY SCANNED THE SRS SYSTEM FOR A CODE. CAME UP THE OCCUPANT POSITION DETECTION SYSTEM ( OPDS). I ASKED IF THE AIR BAGS WOULD STILL DEPLOY IN A CRASH WITH THE SRS LIGHT ON AND HE SAID NO. I WANT TO KNOW THAT THE AIR BAGS WILL WORK AND I FEEL HONDA SHOULD REPAIR THIS DEFECT FOR FREE SINCE IT IS A LIFE SAVING SAFETY SYSTEM. I CALLED HONDA AGAIN AFTER I GOT HOME FROM THE DEALERSHIP TO TRY TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE HIGHER UP IN MANAGEMENT CHAIN AND AS USUAL I GOT NOWHERE. THIS IS AN EXPENSIVE REPAIR AND IT'S DEALER ONLY PARTS. THERE SEEMS TO BE MANY PEOPLE WITH THE SAME PROBLEM WHEN I SEARCHED "2000 ACCORD SRS ON" AND MOST OF THE PEOPLE WITH THIS LIGHT ON SAID THAT THEY ARE OR DID NOT GET IT FIXED DUE TO THE HIGH QUOTED COST OF THE REPAIR. THESE CARS ARE ON THE ROAD WITH NON-WORKING SRS/ AIRBAGS SYSTEMS BECAUSE HONDA USED SUBSTANDARD PARTS THAT DID NOT LAST AS LONG AS THEY SHOULD HAVE AND THAN REFUSES TO PROPERLY FIX THIS PROBLEM,THAT'S JUST NOT RIGHT! I WISH THE NHTSA WOULD ORDER HONDA TO RECALL AND REPAIR THESE CARS REGARDLESS OF MILEAGE OR TIME AT NO CHARGE. ALOT OF THESE OLDER HONDA ACCORDS WILL END UP BEING PURCHASED USED BY THE YOUNGER DRIVERS WHO CAN'T AFFORD A BRAND NEW CAR. *TR
I PURCHASED A 2000 HONDA ACCORD FOR MY DAUGHTER AND THE SRS LIGHT CAME ON. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER WHO SCANNED IT AND SAID IT NEEDED A NEW OPDS UNIT AND SENSOR COSTING OVER $800.50. AS I RESEARCH IT, I AM ASTONISHED TO SEE HOW MANY HONDA'S ARE AFFECTED BY THIS PROBLEM AND THAT A WIDESPREAD RECALL IS NOT IN EFFECT. PLEASE INVESTIGATE THIS SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE THAT COULD CAUSE AIRBAGS NOT TO DEPLOY. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE IN THIS DAY AND AGE. *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT LOCATED SEVERAL COMPLAINTS ONLINE FOR HIS YEAR, MAKE AND MODEL. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 05V025000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:IGNITION:SWITCH) AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION TO DETERMINE IF HIS PARTICULAR VEHICLE WAS AFFECTED BY THE RECALL. THE DEALER ADVISED THAT THE IGNITION SWITCH DID IN FACT NEED REPLACING HOWEVER, THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED BY THE MANUFACTURER THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL CAMPAIGN. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 960,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE FAILURE RECURRED ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER AND AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC THREE TIMES FOR REPAIRS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ENGINE OXYGEN SENSOR AND THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER WERE BOTH REPLACED ON ALL THREE SEPARATE OCCASIONS. THE FAILURE PERSISTED AFTER EACH REPAIR WAS COMPLETED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.
MY SECURITY SYSTEM. SOMETIMES THE ALARM WILL GO OFF FOR NO REASON. SOMETIMES THE CAR LOCKS ITSELF, AND OFTEN I ATTEMPT TO START THE CAR, NOTHING HAPPENS. USALLY AFTER 3-4 HOURS I CAN START THE CAR. THIS HAPPENS WHEN THE CAR IS PARKED AND HAS NOT BEE DRIVEN THAT DAY. MY ALARM WILL GO OFF SOMETIMES WHEN I AM DRIVING IN THE CITY. THESE PROBLEMS HAVE BEEN ON GOING SINCE 2012. WHEN I PURCHASED THE HONDA THE PAINT JOB WAS PERFECT, WITHIN1 MONTH ALL OF THE PAINT ON THE HOOD WAS GONE, AND NOW BOTH FRONT FENDERS ARE BECOMING INFECTED
MY GOODYEAR ASSURANCE TIRES ARE 1.5 YEARS OLD. I HAVE TO COMPLETELY REFILL THE AIR IN ALL FOUR TIRES EVERY WEEK. THESE TIRES ARE SIMPLY FAILING AND IT WILL NOT TAKE LONG BEFORE I GET IN AN ACCIDENT........ *TR
CAR WILL NOT SHIFT OUT OF PARK WITHOUT HOLDING DOWN KEY IN EMERGENCY INTERLOCK NEAR SHIFTER. INTERLOCK SOLENOID WENT BAD. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, WHO INSPECTED THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACED AT LEAST FOUR PRIOR TIMES BY THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 213,000.
TRANSMISSION WAS STARTING TO JERK FORWARD AND BALKING WHEN STARTING FROM A START. TRANSMISSION STARTED TO OVER HEAT. MY SON SAID THAT THE CAR SEAMED TO JUST GIVE OUT ON HIGHWAY AND SCARED HIM AS IT CAUSED A STRANGE FEELING OF SOMETHING TERRIBLE WRONG. NOW WHEN TRANSMISSION IS PUT INTO REVERSE A VERY STARTLING NOISE LIKE A LOUD BANG IS HAPPENING. NOW I AM AFRAID TO LET MY SON BECAUSE OF SAFETY REASONS USE IT. I AM ON A FIXED INCOME AND I ALWAYS TAKE CARE OF THIS CAR, BUT THIS IS JUST GOING TO BREAK ME TO TRY TO GET FIXED. I HAVE READ SO MANY COMPLAINTS SINCE I STARTED TO INVESTIGATE THIS PROBLEM THAT I JUST CAN'T BELIEVE THAT HONDA AND THE NHTSA HAS NOT REMEDIED THIS DANGEROUS AND EXPENSIVE PROBLEM. I HAD TO TRY TO SELL MY TACOMA TRUCK AT MORE THAN HALF ITS RESALE VALUE, BECAUSE TOYOTA JUST LIKE HONDA JUST WONT ADMIT OR FIX THIS SERIOUS PROBLEM. BY THE TIME THE NHTSA DID GET TOYOTA TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE UNSAFE FRAME RUST MOST OF US OWNERS HAD ALREADY HAD TO TRY TO GET WHAT EVER MONEY WE COULD TRY TO GET. IT WAS HORRIBLE TO LOSE ALL THAT MONEY AND TRY TO GET ANOTHER VEHICLE. NOW HONDA IS PLAYING WITH NHTSA AND IT IS STARTING ALL OVER AGAIN FOR A LOT OF US HONDA OWNERS.WHAT MORE CAN US OWNERS DO TO GET OUR FAIR SHARE. I KNOW I FILED A COMPLAINT AGAINST TOYOTA AND NOW HONDA. I HOPE NHSTA DOES SOMETHING FAST BECAUSE AS OF NOW I HAVE NO CAR TO USE. LETS RIGHT THIS NOW. I SPOKE WITH A CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE BY THE NAME OF [XXX] FROM AMERICAN HONDA MOTOR CO., INC. ON JUNE 12, 2005 ABOUT AN SRS RELATED PROBLEM RELATING TO THEIR TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN 06-009 DATED FEBRUARY 5, 2008. I WAS TOLD THAT THE WARRANTY HAS ALREADY EXPIRED BECAUSE THE VEHICLE IS MORE THAN 10 YEARS OLD EVEN IF THE MILEAGE IS LESS THAN 124,000 MILES. I AM THE SECOND OWNER OF THE VEHICLE WHEN IT WAS PURCHASED FROM A PRIVATE PARTY BACK IN 2004. SINCE THESE MODELS CAME WITHOUT AN AIR CONDITIONING UNIT, I HAD ONE INSTALLED THE SAME YEAR (2004) AT THE CLOSEST DEALERSHIP NEAR OUR PLACE OF RESIDENCE. BECAUSE OF THIS SERVICE, THEY SHOULD HAVE UPDATED THE OWNERSHIP RECORD FOR THIS VEHICLE TO REFLECT MY NAME AS THE NEW OWNER. WHEN THIS BULLETIN CAME OUT, HONDA FAILED TO FURNISH ME A COPY OF THE TSB SINCE I ONLY FOUND OUT FROM THEM ON JUNE 25, 2012 THAT THE SAID VEHICLE WAS STILL REGISTERED WITH THE FIRST OWNER. WHEN THE PROBLEM ABOUT THE SRS UNIT OCCURRED WHICH WAS DIRECTLY RELATED TO THE BULLETIN THEY RELEASED ON FEBRUARY 5, 2008 THEY WOULD NOT HONOR THE BULLETIN ANYMORE AND EVEN TOLD ME THAT MY VEHICLE WAS NOT COVERED, EVEN IF THE BULLETIN SPECIFICALLY STATES THAT THE VEHICLES AFFECTED INCLUDED "2000-2001 HONDA ACCORD 2-DR AND 4-DR: ALL WITH OPDS". I WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP LAST FRIDAY, 6/22/2012 WITHOUT KNOWING THAT THIS TSB EVER EXISTED AND THEY WERE CHARGING ME A SUBSTANTIAL FEE TO GET IT FIXED EVEN THOUGH IT IS A FACTORY DEFECT AND SHOULD BE FIXED BY THEM WITHOUT COST TO ME. MY COMPLAINT IS THAT THEY FAILED TO FURNISH ME A COPY OF THE SERVICE BULLETIN AND NOW THAT THIS PROBLEM HAS OCCURRED TO MY VEHICLE THEY WILL NOT HONOR THAT SERVICE BULLETIN. I WOULD HAVE BROUGHT MY CAR IN TO GET FIXED EVEN WITHOUT THIS PROBLEM HAD I RECEIVED THIS BULLETIN ON TIME. I HAD SOME SUSPENSION WORK(OUTER TIEROD ENDS) AND AN ALIGNMENT PERFORMED TODAY AND WAS SHOCKED WHEN THE TECHNICIAN CALLED ME OUT TO THE SHOP SO HE COULD SHOW ME THE CONDITION OF THE RIGHT FRONT SUBFRAME MEMBER; IT IS TOTALLY CORRODED YET THE LEFT FRONT IDENTICAL PART IS FINE. THIS CONSTITUTES A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE GIVEN THE NUMBER AND FUNCTIONALITY OF THE ASSOCIATED PARTS THAT RELY ON THE INTEGRITY OF THER SUBFRAME TO FUNCTION PROPERLY. THE FAIRLY OBVIOUS CAUSAL FACTOR IS THE ROUTING OF THE AC DRAIN HOSE EXPLAINING WHY THE LEFT SIDE IS FINE AT THIS TIME. IN SALT STATES THE LEFT SIDE COMPONENTS OFTEN SUFFER CORROSION FAILURE BEFORE THE RIGHT SIDE DUE TO ROAD SPLASH FROM ONCOMING TRAFFIC. IN MY PROFESSIONAL OPINION (37 YEARS AS A SERVICE MANAGER) THIS IS BOTH A DESIGN FLAW AND A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE; I BELIEVT THAT A RECALL SHOULD BE ISSUED. *TR
FRONT DRIVERS SEAT CAME LOOSE, CAUSING THE SEAT TO SUDDENLY LEAN BACK AS MY WIFE WAS BACKING OUT OF OUR GARAGE. IT COULD HAVE BEEN DISASTROUS IF OUR DRIVEWAY WASN'T AS LONG AS IT IS. IT TOOK HER A WHILE TO READJUST HERSELF (SEAT WAS MOVING UNDER HER) TO GET HER FOOT BACK ON THE BRAKE PEDAL - WHEN THE SEAT REARED BACK. WE ARE THE ORIGINAL OWNERS OF THE CAR ; THE CAR HAS BEEN VERY WELL CARED FOR AND HAS NOT ENDURED ANY HARD CONDITIONS OR ACCIDENTS. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE AND COULD HAVE BEEN EVEN MORE DISASTROUS HAS SHE BEEN INVOLVED IN AN ACTUAL ACCIDENT. AFTER CALLING HONDA AMERICA, I WAS TOLD THAT "DUE TO AGE" THE "COMPANY'S POSITION" WAS THAT THEY WERE UNABLE TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE OF ANY KIND DESPITE PREVIOUS REPORTS OF THE TRANSMISSION IN 2000 ACCORDS AS BEING A KNOWN MANUFACTURER'S ERROR/FAULTY PRODUCTION. HONDA ADMITTED ERROR ON THE ISSUE BUT REMAINED FIRM THAT THEY WOULD NOT SUPPORT RESOLUTION. AM LEFT WITH VEHICLE IN UNDRIVABLE CONDITION THAT IS UNSAFE ON THE ROAD DUE TO ERRATIC TRANSMISSION BEHAVIOR. AT ONE POINT, THE VEHICLE LURCHED FORWARD UNCONTROLLABLY, NEARLY HITTING A PEDESTRIAN. REQUEST NHTSA FOLLOW-UP AND INVESTIGATION OF ONGOING TRANSMISSION ISSUES WITH THESE VEHICLES, ENCOURAGING CONSUMER RESOLUTION OPTIONS FOR HONDA OWNERS. RESOLUTION SHOULD NOT BE LIMITED TO AGE OF VEHICLE WHEN SAFETY OF CONSUMERS AND OTHER DRIVERS ARE AT HAND. THESE VEHICLES SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED ON THE ROAD WITH FAULTY TRANSMISSIONS. A LIGHT ENGINE CAME ON FROM NOWHERE, TOOK THE CAR TO A MECHANIC TO CHECK IT OUT, IT APPEARS TO BE A TRANSMETION CODES. SINCE THEN HAVING TROUBLE SHIFTING.
HONDA ACCORD TRANSMISSION FAILED AT 84000 MILES. NEVER RECEIVED LETTER FORM HONDA MOTOR CORP TO HAVE IT CHECKED. EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR 109,000 MILES TO 2007. NEVER NOTIFIED. NOW PAYING 2100 OUT OF POCKET TO CHANGE. NOT TO MENTION SERIOUS SLIPPING ISSUE WHILE DRIVING. SHOULD HAVE SENT CERTIFIED LETTER. DANGEROUS AND EXPENSIVE. *TT

THE ABOVE INFORMATION WAS FROM THE MOST RECENT INCIDENT, HOWEVER THIS PROBLEM HAS EXISTED FOR SEVERAL YEARS. MY WIFE HAS TOLD ME ABOUT THE PROBLEM WITH THE IGNITION SWITCH THAT ALLOWS THIS CAR TO HAVE THE KEYS REMOVED WHILE THE CAR IS IN DRIVE AND THE ENGINE IS OFF (NHTSA ACTION NUMBER PEO5002). SHE CONTACTED HONDA WHILE IN ORLANDO FL BUT THEY SAID THE RECALL WAS NOT FOR HER VIN. THIS IS STILL PROBLEM AND I CONTACTED HONDA TODAY AND WAS TOLD I COULD HAVE IT FIXED BUT WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR IT. I AM NOT SURE BUT I BELIEVE THIS CAR SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THE RECALL IF THE PROBLEM EXISTS ON IT. PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT I HAVE TO DO SO HONDA WILL COMPLY WITH THEIR RECALL.
THE TRANSMISSIONS ON MY 2000 HONDA ACCORD LX V6 STARTED SLIPPING THEN ERRATICALLY REVVING UP TO 4000 RPMS THEN SHIFT ALL THE SUDDEN. AND MOST OF THE TIME WHEN I SHIFT TO REVERSE IT JUST DOES A HUGE CLUNK NOISE AND A SUDDEN HARD SHIFT THEN GOES INTO REVERSE. MY HONDA ONLY HAVE 93,000 MILES. *TR
