NHTSA Owner Complaint Log
This page lists owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA for the 2002 Honda Accord. Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA and do not by themselves prove a defect or defect rate.
See attached document for complaint.
I am writing to express my concern regarding a significant safety issue with my 2002 Honda Accord's subframe. The subframe is rusting severely in the area where the air conditioning drain line drips directly onto it. This design flaw has caused concentrated corrosion over time, significantly weakening the subframe and making the vehicle unsafe to drive. As the subframe supports essential components such as the engine, transmission, and suspension, its deterioration poses a serious risk of structural failure. This could lead to loss of control while driving, endangering both the driver and others on the road. Considering the critical nature of this defect, I urge Honda to take responsibility for addressing this issue and provide a resolution to ensure the safety and reliability of affected vehicles.
SRS bag light has been on for unknown reason(s). Steering is not good and it got checked they said they fixed issue on it but it does not feel fixed
The right side of the main front subframe of the car broke. The subframe on the right side was completely rusted out and corroded away. However, the left side of the subframe was perfectly intact with no damage and only minor surface rust. The car has only 50,000 miles on it. When the subframe broke my friends [XXX]aunt [XXX] old) was driving and the right side of the car dropped down and the steering was compromised. The broken subframe resulted in a loss of control of the car but an accident was avoided thankfully due to her only driving at low speeds. They took the car to an independent mechanic, who welded some support brackets to the subframe to get the car to move. After doing some research, I found multiple forums, websites, videos, and repair TSBs about this issue. The failure occurred because of an engineering failure of the placement of the HVAC evaporator drain hose. The hose drips the draining moisture right onto the right side of the subframe. Over time, this trapped moisture leads to corrosion and rust formation on the subframe. The corrosive effect weakens the structural integrity of the subframe, which caused the subframe to break under normal driving conditions. A mechanic has inspected and patch repaired the subframe. I am willing to have the car inspected if requested. There were no symptoms before the failure, it happened all of the sudden. I complained to Joe Morgan Honda that my driver's seat broke from the frame causing it to be a rocking chair and Joe Morgan Honda confirmed that the car needs an entirely new seat because the frame had snapped. Joe Morgan Honda said they don't make the seat anymore and it was important that I not get a seat from a vehicle that had been wrecked, because so no seat in a scrapped vehicle could be found. I complained to the better business bureau to the Honda Corporation at 1919 Torrance, CA and the Better Business Bureau said they refused to answer the safety complaint Silicon Valley Complaint #[XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
The contact owns a 2002 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the driver's side air bag warning light remained illuminated. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer and local dealer were notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 354,000.
Car exploded spontaneously. Fire department thinks it started in the steering wheel/ignition area. Vehicle is still parked on the street and is available for inspection. No one was in or around the vehicle, but it seems if someone had been in the car they would certainly have been incinerated. Anyone in the street would have been struck by shrapnel. Only the fire department has seen the vehicle so far, to put the fire out. This happened last night (1/31/24) about 8:30 pm central time. This happened with no warning, car was parked and turned off - had just been driven 2 hours prior.
On Sept. 28, 2023 I was driving this car and it was on a very rough highway and it went into a skid and flipped over and was totaled. It was towed to Willow Creek, CA for one week. I was badly injured and had no way to get to Willow Creek, CA so I had to pay $500 for it to be stored and they eventually got the title of the car from me and allegedly disposed of the 2002 Accord. I did not see it after the accident as I was bedridden and unable to travel to see the condition of my car. The passenger's side of the back seat was GONE and you could see the ground, I do remember that much despite my severe injuries to my head and body. I was the driver and the driver's side airbags failed to deploy despite the numerous time I took it in to Mid-City Motor World in Eureka, CA responding to numerous airbag recalls. I was told prior airbag recalls had not worked and that is why I had to keep going back to have them done over and over again. I am the original owner of this car and I got hurt badly in this accident. It has been over two months now and I have yet to fully recover. I often wonder if I ever will fully recover as I still have pain in my back, arms, legs and head. If the airbags had worked, I would not have ended up bedridden with a head injury and unable to move. I had no help at all after the accident. Shame on you Honda for failing to assist a person that was injured because of one of the cars you made that has a history of recalls as noted at this federal government link: [XXX] I called HONDA on the phone to report his incident and have never received a call back to my knowledge. 1 800 999 1009 is the telephone number I have called. I was told they called me back on time. Did they really? Isn't there some sort of compensation for people driving a car that had numerous airbag recalls that failed when an accident occurred? I will never buy another Honda again as I am so disgusted. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
-The front subframe on the passenger side completely rusted through and broke. The driver side is perfectly fine and still has factory paint on it, but the passenger side is completely rusted out. Yes the vehicle and issue are available for inspection. -The front subframe is the frame component that holds and supports your front suspension, steering, engine and transmission. With the failure of the subframe the front passenger side of the car dropped down and the steering and suspension were compromised. Very unsafe for the driver and passengers to lose control of the vehicle. Loss of control is also very dangerous for others on the road. -The problem is very prominent for this year and model of car. It is an engineering flaw from the factory for years 1998-2002. The air conditioning evaporator drain hose is routed right onto the passenger side sub frame. The moisture from the drain is what accelerates the rust. The car only has 55,000 miles on it and it has failed this soon. -The car has been inspected by a shop previously and the shop welded a new support piece to “patch” the frame to make back home. -There were no symptoms, there was just a loud clunk on the front end and it dropped down.
The contact owns a 2002 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while parking the vehicle, the vehicle independently accelerated without warning. The contact stated that the vehicle went over a concrete island with the engine revving and the vehicle accelerating. The contact turned the vehicle to the right and grazed a pole which stopped the vehicle. The contact sustained a knot under her right clavicle but did not seek medical attention. A Police report was filed. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 180,000.
The ignition system of the vehicle is faulty. The engine keeps stalling intermittently and the vehicle shuts down. The issue has been observed at both low and high speeds. The issue occurs on average once in two weeks. This issue has put our family's safety in jeopardy. We filed a complaint with Honda but they are not willing to help with addressing this issue. This issue has been a problem for several years with no restitution from Honda. We need to be compensated USD 2.5million for the stress and aggravation this issue has caused us and for putting our family's safety in jeopardy. Please help us by arranging for mediation services with Honda Motor Company of America. Thank you.
This morning, my neighbor came over to see if I heard my car alarm go off. I saw that part of the driver side where the door buttons are located were some what damaged. They must have been trying to open other doors, trunk or something else. I'm not sure how they were able to open the driver side door, maybe a crow bar what whatever else they use. I did not hear my car alarm go off. I checked my car for anything stolen, but didn't seem to find any thing missing. Will check it again. On another note, there was a night about a month ago where my neighbor heard gun shots outside my back door under the plum tree. Same side of location where my car is parked. Perhaps its the same people. This neighborhood is becoming dangerous. Thank YOU! [XXX] INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).
Due to the main relay my 2002 Honda Accord SE shuts off I have replaced the box over and over still repeated the same thing I almost got hit because it shut off in traffic with my kids in the car it is a safety issue as I read on many blogs the same thing is happening to many other Honda Accord owners Honda needs to fix this problem.
The contact owns a 2002 Honda Accord. The contact stated the key was able to be removed from the ignition while the vehicle was in gear. The contact stated that while the key was in his possession, the vehicle unintendedly reversed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 170,000.
Transmission slipping gears. “D4” blinking on dash. Progressive issue that began irregularly and within a week or two made the vehicle unsafe to drive. This seems to be a known widespread issue for vehicle’s year and model with no recalls.
Air Bags never deployed in an accident. Honda shows recall work was done prior to collision. Front end collision
AFTER READING THE DESCRIPTION FOR 2002-06 HONDA CR-V POWER WINDOW MASTER SWITCH (PWMS) RECALL (NHTSA RECALL NUMBER 20V-768 ISSUED ON 12/10/2020), I REALIZED THAT MY 2002 HONDA ACCORD PWMS HAS SIMILAR SYMPTOM OF WARM FEELING AND STOPPED TO ROLL DOWN/UP WINDOWS. UPON GOOGLING, THERE ARE NUMEROUS PWMS REPLACEMENT DIY VIDEOS WITH SIMILAR FAILURES ON YOUTUBE. DURING THOSE YEARS OF PRODUCTION, THE PWMS FOR CRV AND ACCORD LOOKS SIMILAR. PARTICULARLY, DRIVER'S SIDE PWMS ON MY 2002 ACCORD HAS THE IDENTICAL SYMPTOM AS THE 2002-06 CRV HAS, HEREBY, EXPOSING TO THE SAME SAFETY DANGER OF FIRE RISK. I AM FILING THE COMPLAINT TO REQUEST HONDA TO ISSUE SAFETY RECALL DRIVER'S SIDE PWMS ON 2002 ACCORD.
I was in a car accident I was driving and my airbag was defected
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH WHEN SUDDENLY THERE WAS A LOUD BANG NOISE THAT CAME FROM THE FRONT-END OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO SMOKE FROM UNDERNEATH THE HOOD OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT LOOKED UNDER THE HOOD OF THE VEHICLE AND NOTICED THAT THE WATER HOSE HAD FRACTURED IN HALF AND ANTI-FREEZE HAD SPLATTERED EVERYWHERE. THE CONTACT HAD THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND NO MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS NEEDED. THE FIRE REPORT WAS FILED. THE DEALER (NORM REEVES HONDA SUPERSTORE CERRITOS 18500 STUDEBAKER RD, CERRITOS, CA 90703; (562) 345-9100) INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE WATER HOSE AND THE WATER PUMP FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED BECAUSE IT DID NOT HAVE AN OFFICIAL DIAGNOSTIC TESTING PERFORMED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE 304,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE PASSENGER'S SIDE FRONT SUBFRAME WAS SEVERELY RUSTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO JIM WHITE HONDA (1505 S. REYNOLDS RD, MAUMEE, OH 43537, (419) 893-5581) TO BE INSPECTED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT DUE TO THE FAILURE, THE VEHICLE SHOULD BE SALVAGED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE IMPROPER PLACEMENT OF THE DRAIN TUBE CAUSED THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED NOR SENT TO BE SALVAGED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATELY FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 172,000. *BF *AS
AS THE VEHICLE WAS SLOWING TO A STOP AT A RED LIGHT, THE RPMS SUDDENLY ROSE TO 5-7K ! THE DRIVER COULD NOT CONTROL OR STOP IT FROM LURCHING FORWARD INTO TRAFFIC, SO SHE CUT OFF THE ENGINE. UPON TRYING TO RESTART, THE ENGINE WOULD NOT START AT NORMAL RPM. A BYSTANDER CAME OVER AND ADJUSTED SOMETHING IN THE ENGINE AND IT WORKED AGAIN. THIS HAS HAPPENED 2 TIMES SINCE THEN. NO ONE CAN FIGURE OUT THE PROBLEM, BUT AFTER A WEB SEARCH, THIS IS NOT RARE FOR 2002 MODEL. UNACCEPTABLE! THIS HAS ALSO HAPPENED AS IT THE CAR IS PUT INTO PARK, AND THE RPMS RISE QUICKLY TO HIGH LEVELS. IT STOPS WHEN THE CAR IS OFF, OBVIOUSLY, AND USUALLY DOES NOT RECUR ON THE SAME DAY. IT'S BEEN HAPPENING ABOUT 1 TIME PER MONTH SINCE WE BOUGHT IT USED FOR OUR TEENAGER TO USE. I'M NOW AFRAID TO LET HER DRIVE IT. PLEASE INVESTIGATE! THIS COULD HAVE KILLED THE DRIVER, MY DAUGHTER, AS WELL AS OTHERS IN HER PATH.
I WAS ABLE TO REMOVE MY KEYS FROM THE VEHICLE WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS NOT IN PARK. OTHER HONDA ACCORDS ARE OF THE SAME YEAR HAVE BEEN RECALLED, EXCEPT FOR MINE. NHTSA CAMPAIGN #05V025000 FOR THE OTHER ACCORDS THAT HAVE BEEN RECALLED. *TR
THE RADIO CAUGHT ON FIRE. THE CAR RADIO THE WAS THE ORIGINAL FACTORY INSTALLED RADIO WHEN I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE FROM ALBANY GA HONDA. I DID NOT MAKE ANY CHANGES OR ANY UPGRADES TO THE RADIO. AFTER I DOUSED THE RADIO WITH A SODA, THE SPEAKERS WERE EMITTING A RADIO STATIC SOUND AND I COULD HEAR THE BEEPING SOUND OF PEOPLE UNLOCKING THEIR CAR DOORS WITH THEIR DEVICES. THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED AND THE ENGINE WAS OFF. *TR
WAS IN AN ACCIDENT ON THE EXPRESSWAY WHERE A LATTER FLEW OUT OF THE BACK OF A GUYS TRUCK AND BECAME TO A COMPLETE STOP AND I HIT HIM WHEN I COULDN'T STOP FAST ENOUGH AND NO AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. I WAS BERRYBRUISED UP AND I DID GO TO THE HOSTPITAL.
I WAS IN A BAD CAR ACCIDENT WAS ON SATURDAY, 11/02/2019, WHERE BOTH CARS WERE TOTALED. I WAS A STOPLIGHT ON A CITY STREET (GLENWOOD DR) WAITING TO TURN LEFT. AS I PROCEED TO TURN LEFT ON A GREEN ARROW (GOING APPROX 5 MILE/HR) I WAS HIT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE BY A VEHICLE TRAVELING (PER THE OTHER DRIVER'S STATEMENT) APPROXIMATELY 37-40 MILE/HR AT THE TIME OF IMPACT. A LARGE PART OF THE IMPACT WAS ABSORBED BY THE LEFT FRONT SIDE OF THE VEHICLE AND THEN TRAVEL TO THE PASSENGER DOOR. MY AIRBAGS HAD BEEN RECALLED THIS SUMMER AN TAKEN TO HONDA OF CONYERS WHERE THEY WERE REPLACED. UNFORTUNATELY, NO AIRBAGS DEPLOYED ON IMPACT. I WAS THE DRIVER AND MY 14-YEAR OLD NIECE WAS IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. MY NIECE DIDN'T SUSTAIN ANY INJURIES; HOWEVER, I HAVE SOME SPINAL INJURY AND WAS SEEN BY THE EMORY ORTHOPEDIC AND SPINE CENTER WHERE THEY THEN ASSIGNED A TREATMENT PROGRAM WHERE I AM TO RECEIVE PHYSICAL THERAPY 2 X PER WEEK FOR 4 WEEKS ( THERAPEUTIC EXERCISE, MANUAL THERAPY, STRETCHING, PARASPINAL STRENGTHENING, MODALITIES PRN, AND C-TRACTION.) I'VE ATTACHED 3 PHOTOS OF MY VEHICLE.
BOTH BACK SEAT PASSENGER DOOR CANNOT BE OPENED ONE STOPPED OPENING ABOUT A MONTH BEFORE THE OTHER IT'S AS THOUGH THE CHILD SAFETY LOCK IS ON BUT ISN'T. THEY CAN'T BE OPENED FROM INSIDE OR OUTSIDE. THIS IS A SAFETY MATTER OF GREAT IMPORTANCE IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH MY PASSENGERS WON'T BE ABLE TO EXIT THE VEHICLE.
SRS WARNING LIGHT IS ON , INDICATING THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH THE AIRBAG SYSTEM. SINCE THERE HAVE BEEN ISSUES WITH THE TAKATA BAGS I DECIDE TO INVESTIGATE.
2002 HONDA ACCORD V6. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARD TO AIRBAG FAILING TO DEPLOY AFTER ACCIDENT. *AS THE CONSUMER STATED THERE WAS A CRASH INVOLVING A DEER. THE CONSUMER QUESTIONED IF THE AIRBAGS SHOULD HAVE DEPLOYED. *JS
UPON INSPECTION OF THIS VEHICLE, PART OF THE FRONT SUBFRAME HAD RUSTED THROUGH, FROM THE AIR CONDITIONER CONDENSER HOSE EMPTYING ON TOP OF IT. ATTACHED PHOTOS SHOW THE EXTENT OF VISIBLE DAMAGE; OTHER DAMAGE WITHIN THIS STRUCTURE IS NOT VISIBLE TO THE EYE. HONDA REFERS TO THIS PART AS THE "REAR BEAM," PART NUMBER 50200-S87-A00. THE STEERING RACK AND FRONT SUSPENSION COMPONENTS ATTACH TO THIS PART, ALONG WITH THE REAR ENGINE MOUNT, AND CAN CAUSE LOSS OF CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE, AND SERIOUS PERSONAL INJURY. THIS IS A VERY COMMON AND VERY DANGEROUS FLAW IN THIS GENERATION OF ACCORD.

FEW YEARS AGO I HAD PROBLEMS WITH SEAT BELT CODES POPPING UP. TOOK CAR TO ONE OF THE DEALERS (DO NOT REMEMBER WHICH ONE..LOST MY RECEIPT/PAPER WORK) AND THEY SUPPOSEDLY FIXED THE PROBLEM. AFTER THAT "FIX" THE REMINDER LIGHT AND ALARM FOR SEAT BELTS DIDN'T LIGHT UP AT ALL (ON A DASH BOARD), ASKED TECHNICIANS ABOUT IT AT THAT TIME AND WAS TOLD THAT IT IS PROBABLY THE LIGHT/ALARM NEEDS TO BE CHANGING AND THAT IT IS NOT A BIG DEAL. IT HAD BEEN FEW YEARS SINCE AND WHENEVER I DRIVE THE CAR I AM UNEASY ABOUT IT: IT SOMEHOW DISTURBS ME WHENEVER I TURN THE CAR ON OR DRIVE IT. BELT (DRIVER'S SIDE) SOMETIMES DOESN'T GET TIGHT(ER?)EN AT ALL WHEN I BRAKE. I READ THAT IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND USUALLY HONDA MAKER REQUIRES TO FIX IT AND IT IS AT NO CHARGE. THIS YEAR I TALKED TO ONE OF THE BALLISE HONDA (WEST SPRINGFIELD) DEALERSHIPS' TECHNICIAN (INFORMATION/CONVERSATION WAS NOT ENTERED IN THE COMPUTER) AND HE TOLD ME THAT IT IS NOT A BIG A DEAL (THE LIGHT/ALARM SOUND IS NOT ON WHEN BELTS ARE NOT ENGAGED) AND IF I WANT TO FIX IT I WOLD HAVE TO PAY. I TOLD HIM WHEN THEY WENT OFF : AFTER THE PROBLEM I HAD FEW YEARS THAT WAS SUPPOSEDLY FIXED. SO..I AM CURIOUS IS IT A SAFETY ISSUE COVERED BY HONDA OR IS IT JUST IN MY HEAD SOMETHING THAT IS NOT IMPORTANT AS PER TECHNICIAN. I DO NOT REMEMBER THE DATE WHEN I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER FIX THE PROBLEM AND THEY (I THINK) JUST TURN THAT SIGNAL/ALARM OFF ...BECAUSE BEFORE I TOOK MY CAR TO THEM ALL WAS ON AND WORKING PROPERLY EXCEPT FOR THE LIGHTS POINTING TO THE ISSUE. SO,NOW I AM PUTTING PRESENT DAY (BELOW WHERE IT REQUIRES TO PUT THE DATE WHEN FIRST IT HAPPENED BECAUSE I DO NOT REMEMBER THAT DATE)... BECAUSE THE FORM WILL NOT ALLOW ME TO PROCEED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE AND SRS WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT CALLED BRONX HONDA (LOCATED AT 2541 E TREMONT AVE, THE BRONX, NY 10461, (718) 892-3300) AND INFORMED THEM OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT A CRACK APPEARED IN THE SUBFRAME ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE DUE TO RUST. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO HONDA SUPERSTORE OF LISLE (4475 LINCOLN AVE, LISLE, IL 60532, 630-852-7200) FOR A BRAKE INSPECTION AND A QUOTE FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF THE SUBFRAME. THE CONTACT DISCOVERED THAT A HOSE DRAINED ONTO THE SUBFRAME TO THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 09919793. NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 157,610.
MY LADY WAS INVOLVED IN A PRETTY BAD ACCIDENT THERE WAS A RECALL ON HER VEHICLES AIRBAG WE HAD IT FIX BUT THE DEALERSHIP AND N THE ACCIDENT THE AIRBAG ON THE DRIVERS SIDE AIRBAG N PASSENGER AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY IN THE ACCIDENT SHE GOT A KNOT ON HER CHEST FROM IT SHE WAS ON HER WAY HOME FROM WORK WHEN THE ACCIDENT HAPPEN ON A CITY STREET
TAKATA RECALL- I HAD THE 1ST RECALL REPAIRED ON MY HONDA A FEW YEARS AGO BUT IN THE PAST 2 MONTHS THE SRS LIGHT AND SIDE AIRBAG LIGHT WERE BOTH ON AND MY PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG WAS PARTIALLY INFLATED UNDER THE DASH. I TOOK IT TO A HONDA DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THAT THESE LIGHTS ARE ON DUE TO A FAULTY SEAT BELT BUCKLE. THEY INFORMED ME THAT THEY WERE ABLE TO GET THE LIGHTS TO GO OFF....FOR NOW, BUT THAT THE LIGHTS WOULD PROBABLY COME BACK ON AFTER DRIVING IT A WHILE. ABOUT A WEEK AFTER, THE SRS LIGHT AND SIDE AIRBAG LIGHT ARE BACK ON AGAIN.
TAKATA RECALL- I PURCHASED A USED 2002 HONDA ACCORD TODAY, 7/31/2019. WHEN I ENTERED THE VEHICLE AND STARTED THE CAR, I NOTICED THE SRS LIGHT ON THE DASH WAS ILLUMINATED. WHEN THE CAR IS STATIONARY OR IN MOTION THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG LOOKS TO BE PARTIALLY INFLATED UNDER THE DASH. THE AIRBAG IS NOT DEPLOYED BUT IT DOES SEEM LIKE OVER TIME IT HAS INFLATED UNDER THE DASH. CURRENTLY THERE ARE 6 RECALLS RELATED TO AIRBAG MODULES IN THE YEAR, MAKE, AND MODEL OF MY VEHICLE, YET FOR SOME REASON THIS WEBSITE SAYS MY VIN# IS NOT INCLUDED. PLEASE ADDRESS THIS AIRBAG ISSUE ON MY VEHICLE, IF I WERE TO EVER WRECK, I WOULDN'T WANT ANYONE TO GET HURT BECAUSE OF A FAULTY RECALLED AIRBAG MODULE THAT WAS JUST SKIPPED OVER.

VERY UNUSUAL PATTERN OF TREAD BREAKDOWN ON FEDERAL FORMOZA FD1 PASSENGER CAR TIRES NOTED. NOTE THIS IS NOT THE "SUPER STEEL" MODEL INDICATED IN THE DATABASE ENTRY. THE DIALOGUE DID NOT PROVIDE "FORMOZA" MODELS FOR SELECTION. TREAD WEAR INDICATED OVER 3/4 OF TREAD LIFE REMAINING (CAR WAS RARELY USED), BUT CAR WAS PARKED OUTDOORS IN TEXAS, AND TIRES WERE 9 YEARS OLD. BREAKDOWN OF TREAD NOT LIKELY CAUSED BY WEAR, BUT RATHER MORE LIKELY RUBBER COMPOUND DETERIORATION OR MANUFACTURING PROBLEM. THE TREAD DEVELOPED FISSURES LATERALLY ACROSS THE ENTIRE WIDTH OF THE TREAD (NOT EXTENDING INTO THE TREAD SHOULDER), EVENLY SPACED WITH A FISSURE EVERY 3/8THS OF AN INCH AROUND THE ENTIRE CIRCUMFERENCE OF THE TIRES. DEPTH OF FISSURES UNKNOWN. NO EVENT IN THE HISTORY OF THE TIRES OR CAR CAN ACCOUNT FOR THIS BIZARRE PATTERN. THE TIRES WERE JUDGED UNSAFE AND REPLACED. PHOTOGRAPHS WERE TAKEN OF THE PATTERN OF DAMAGE TO THE TIRES, AS WELL AS THEIR IDENTIFICATION NUMBERS.
WHILE COMPLETING A ROUTINE OIL CHANGE IN A 2002 HONDA ACCORD COUPE EX, NOTICED THE SUB FRAME PASSENGER SIDE COMPLETELY RUSTED IN HALF (APPROXIMATELY 4-5 INCH SECTION). RUST CAUSED BY AC CONDENSATION FROM DRAIN LOCATED DIRECTLY ABOVE SUB FRAME. REMAINING FRAME IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.
