DEFECTIVE TRANSMISSION CASING GASKET SEAL CAUSING FLUID LEAK DURING HIGHWAY SPEED. THE TRANSMISSION CASING SEAL WAS TAKEN APART AND FOUND GASKET SEAL DETERIORATE ONE SPECIFY LOCATION.IT POSSIBLE CAUSE BY MANUFACTURER PROCESS DEFECT OR INSTALLED DURING ASSEMBLY PROCESS.QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTION BYPASS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAG INADVERTENTLY DEPLOYED WHILE DRIVING. THE CONTACT SWERVED OFF THE ROAD, BUT DID NOT CRASH. THERE WAS NO INJURY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT A NEW AIR BAG WAS NEEDED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 130,000.

I WENT TO HONDA OF SANTA MONICA 3 TIMES WITHIN SEVERAL DAYS OR ALMOST TWO WEEKS TO FIX A TRANSMISSION COOLANT LINE.AFTER 3 ATTEMPT REPLACING WASHER,GASKET. THE COOLANT LINE IS STILL LEAKING BUT NOT AS BAD AS BEFORE.THEY REALLY TRIED HARD WITH EVERY EFFORT TO STOP THE TRANS LEAK.IS IT POSSIBLE THE COOLANT LINE SURFACE IS UNEVEN? THE COOLANT LINE COULD BE DEFECTIVE DUE TO MANUFACTURE PROCESS CAUSING TO LEAK FROM THE SOURCE? I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE NHTSA TO INVESTIGATE THE COOLANT LINE LEAKAGE FROM THE FACTORY WHERE THEY ARE MANUFACTURE.DID QUALITY CONTROL BYPASS THE PROCESS INSPECTION? THERE PROBABLY THOUSAND OF CARS OUT THERE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM OUT THERE AND CONSUMER ARE UNAWARE OF IT.

THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE KNEE, LOWER AND MID BACK, AND NECK. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS NOT REQUIRED. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO BE DRIVEN FROM THE SCENE AND WAS LATER TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR THE BODY REPAIRS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER AND WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 227,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

THE CONTACT CALLED PAUL MOAK HONDA AT 601-352-2700 (LOCATED AT 802 HARDING ST, JACKSON, MS 39202) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 130,000.
'TAKATA RECALL' HIGH PRESSURE POWER STEERING LINE LEAK IN THE HOSE AND OIL LEAK. VEHICULAR WAS STATIONARY AND NOTICED FLUIDS DRIPPING.

'TAKATA RECALL' : I TOOK MY VEHICLE IN TO THE HONDA DEALERSHIP IN PLYMOUTH MA, AT 9 LONG POND ROAD. THE SRS LIGHT IS STILL LIT UP AFTER THE REPAIRS ON 12/20/18.
2015 SCRAPPED CAR. HAVE RETURNED 4 CARDS ADVISING AS SUCH. THIS PAST SUMMER/SPRING SOMEONE COME TO MY HOME ABOUT THE CAR AND THE RECALL. ASSURED ME RECORDS WOULD BE UPDATED TO REFLECT CAR DESTROYED. HAVE RECEIVED ANOTHER CARD IN THE FALL AND 2 DAYS AGO RECEIVED ANOTHER PHONE CALL ABOUT GETTING THE AIR BAG TAKEN CARE OF. SINCE IT'S A RECORDING I CAN'T HAVE ANYONE REMOVE US FROM THE LIST. FOUND BOLT TO FUEL PUMP ON GROUND AND LIGHT HAS BEEN ON FOR EVAPORATED AIR LEAK IN SYSTEM FOR 5 MONTHS.STILL HAVE BOLT!
ALL OF MY EXTERIOR DOORHANDLES NO LONGER WORK. I CAN'T SECURE MY VEHICLE WITHOUT LOCKING MYSELF OUT AS WELL. THE REAR PASSENGER INTERIOR DOORLATCH NO LONGER WORKS EITHER SO THAT DOOR CAN'T BE OPENED AT ALL NOW. I'M PARANOID THAT THE REST OF MY INTERIOR LATCHES ARE GOING TO STOP WORKING TOO & I MAY BE TRAPPED INSIDE BECAUSE MY ELECTRIC WINDOWS HAVE STARTED HAVING ISSUES AS WELL.

GOT SRS LIGHT ON ( AIR BAG ) THIS WAS CHECK 07/07/2012 AT THE DEALERSHIP AND WORK ON
I WAS TOLD THERE WAS A RECALL A COUPLE YRS BACK ON THE AIRBAGS AND ALTHOUGH THE RECALL WAS A FEW YRS AGO I AM A NEW OWNER TO THIS VEHICLE AND WANT TO BE SURE I AM SAFE
MY AIRBAGS NEVER CAME OUT AFTER A MAJOR IMPACT DIRECTLY AT THE FRONT ON THE CAR.
RIGHT SIDE SUBFRAME BY REAR CONNECTING POINT ROTTED THROUGH WITH HOLES UNDER WHERE RIGHT LOWER CONTROL ARM CONNECTS TO SUBFRAME. MOST LIKELY CAUSED FROM A/C DRAIN DRIPPING DIRECTLY ON SUBFRAME. VEHICLE WILL NOT PASS STATE SAFETY INSPECTION. CONTACTED LOCAL HONDA DEALERSHIP AND THEY STATED THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR HAD BEEN ILLUMINATED FOR APPROXIMATELY ONE WEEK, WHICH WAS A SAFETY CONCERN. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER OR AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 190,000.
TRANSMISSION SLIPPAGE AND JERKING WHEN GOING INTO GEAR FROM A PARKED POSITION AS WELL AS IN MOTION. SEVERAL TIMES MY ACCORD WOULD STALL BECAUSE IT WOULD NOT GO INTO GEAR. IT WAS VERY EMBARRASSING AND DANGEROUS WHEN IT HAPPENED BECAUSE I DELAYED TRAFFIC DURING THE RUSH HOUR AND HAD MY CHILD ON BOARD.

THIS COMPLAINT IS NOT IN REGARDS TO SOMETHING THAT CAME WITH THE CAR BUT AN AFTERMARKET PRODUCT. SO IT APPLIES TO ALL CARS. IF THIS DEPARTMENT ONLY DEALS WITH OEM MATERIAL THEN PLEASE FORWARD TO THE CORRECT DEPARTMENT. THE PRODUCT IS AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION ADDITIVE. ONCE APPLIED IT HAS THE ABILITY AT LEAST IN MY CASE TO STOP A CAR FROM MOVING FORWARD ON A FREEWAY. THE PRODUCT IS MADE BY A COMPANY CALLED XADO USA 1207 REMINGTON RD, SCHAUMBURG, IL 60173 -- 888-787-9236. THE SPECIFIC PRODUCT IS XADO REVITALIZANT EX120 CONDITIONER FOR AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS AND CVT. SUPPOSEDLY THE ACTIVE INGREDIENT IN THIS PRODUCT IS REVITALIZANT . THIS PRODUCT WAS ORIGINALLY MADE FOR THEIR ENGINE OIL ADDITIVE. THE REVITALIZANT IS SUPPOSE TO FILL WORN METAL PARTS IN A INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE WITH A CERAMIC METAL COATING. IF WOULDN'T TAKE A CHEMICAL ENGINEERING KNOWLEDGE THAT THIS PRODUCT IN TRANSMISSION OIL WOULD BE COUNTER PRODUCTIVE. A AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION OR MANUAL TRANSMISSION HAS CLUTCHS WHICH REQUIRES A ROUGH SURFACE TO GRAB AND TRANSMIT POWER TO THE WHEELS. IF THERE IS SLIPPAGE, FRICTION WOULD BE PRODUCED AND HEAT GENERATED INSTEAD. IN MY SPECIFIC INSTANCE THE TRANSMISSION SHOP LIST THE DAMAGE AS ""TORQUE CONVERTER CLUTCH LINING PEELED CAUSING FILTER TO PLUG RESTRICTING FLOW OF TRANSMISSION FLUID"". AS STATED THIS IS NOT AN OEM PRODUCT. IT'S AN AFTER MARKET PRODUCTS LIKE CHILD SAFETY SEATS. TRUCK RACK ADD ON ETC. I BELIEVE IT IS A DANGEROUS PRODUCT BECAUSE IT CAN CAUSE THE SUDDEN LOST OF POWER FOR A CAR TO COMPLETE AN INTERSECTION TURN ETC.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 220,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING, THE STEERING WHEEL WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO STEER IN EITHER DIRECTION. UPON INSPECTION, IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE POWER STEERING FLUID WAS LEAKING UNTO THE CATALYTIC CONVERTERS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE POWER STEERING HOSE AND PUMP WERE DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. ADDITIONALLY, WHILE DRIVING A GRINDING NOISE WAS HEARD COMING FROM THE TRANSMISSION AND THE TRANSMISSION STARTED TO SLIP WITH THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE MECHANIC INDICATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION TORQUE CONVERTER WAS DEFECTIVE AND THE TRANSMISSION NEED TO BE REBUILT OR REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000.
THE SUBFRAME HAS RUSTED DUE TO A DESIGN FLAW BY HONDA ... THE AC DRAINS ON IT. THIS CREATES A SAFETY ISSUE AND THE POTENTIAL FOR A FATAL CRASH TO OCCUR.
WHILE BRAKE WORK WAS BEING DONE ON THE 2002 HONDA ACCORD EX, THE MECHANIC NOTICED THAT THE ENGINE SUB-FRAME WAS BADLY WORN AND IN DANGER OF COLLAPSE. THE CAR CANNOT BE MOVED SAFELY.
VEHICLE IS HAVING TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS. THROWING OUT NUMEROUS TRANSMISSION CODES EVEN AFTER REPLACING SAID PARTS. I WAS ADVISED THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE YEAR AND MODEL. VEHICLE AS IT DRIVES WILL NOT SHIFT FROM 3RD TO 4TH GEAR. AFTER CAR WARMS UP VEHICLE SEEMS TO RUN FINE. SWITCHED OUT ALL SOLENOIDS, PRESSURE SWITCHES AND PCM. VEHICLE STILL HAS PROBLEMS.
TAKATA RECALL: MY TRANSMISSION OF MY VEHICLE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED BECAUSE A FAULTY PART WAS USED IN THE VEHICLE. THE TRANSMISSION SLIPS AND WILL COST $3,000 TO FIX BECAUSE HONDA USED A BAD PART. HONDA HAS RECALLED TRANSMISSIONS IN HONDA ACCORDS YEARS IN CLOSE PROXIMITY OF THE VEHICLES YEAR. THEY HOWEVER DID NOT DO THIS ONE AND I FEEL LIKE I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO PAY FOR THEIR MISTAKE.

THE CONTACT CALLED COLLEGE PARK HONDA AT (301) 441-2900 (9400 BALTIMORE AVE, COLLEGE PARK, MD 20740) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WOULD BE A FEE FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING AND AIR BAG INFLATOR REPLACEMENTS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2002 HONDA ACCORD. WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH, THE CONTACT LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND CRASHED INTO AN EMBANKMENT. THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED AND CAUSED THE CONTACT INJURIES TO THE NECK AND BACK. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS REQUIRED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A TOW YARD AND DEEMED DESTROYED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 212,000.
FOR THE STEERING, THE POWER STEERING PUMP DOESN'T HOLD POWER STEERING FLUID AND WHEN YOU GO AROUND A CURVE AND THERE IS A BUMP IN THE ROAD, YOUR STEERING WHEEL JERKS THE OTHER WAY. IT'S WAY WORSE WITH NO POWER STEERING BUT IT IS STILL THERE EVEN IF YOU HAVE FLUID. THE TRANSMISSION WILL JUMP IN BETWEEN FIRST AND SECOND GEAR SO ROUGHLY IT FEELS LIKE YOUR TRANSMISSION IS GOING TO FALL OUT, SOMETIMES YOU CAN'T GO BECAUSE OF IT AND IT'S ALMOST CAUSED SOME ACCIDENTS. YOU CAN'T GET UP TO THE SPEED YOU NEED TO WITH IT BEING SO ROUGH AND JUMPY. THEN THERE IS A TICKING NOISE WHEN I PRESS ON THE GAS PEDDLE, FROM THE TIMING BELT AND TRANSISTOR. SOME OF THESE PROBLEMS HAVE BEEN HAPPENING SINCE I GOT THE CAR, LIKE THE SHIFTING AND THE STEERING. THE TICKING HAS BEEN THERE BUT NOT AS BADLY AS IT IS NOW. I ALSO KNOW I'M NOT THE ONLY HONDA DRIVER WITH THESE ISSUES FROM THIS MAKE AND MODEL AND ERA FOR THIS CAR.
AC FLUID DRIP SYSTEM ON THE SUBFRAME PASSENGER SIDE AND RUST IT UNTIL IT BREAKS IT'S A HUGE SAFETY HAZARD FOR MANY PEOPLE KIDS INCLUDED IT'S HOW HONDA MADE THE CAR SO THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL ON THE CAR WITH THE MISTAKES THEY'VE MADE MAKING THE CAR AND PLACING THE PARTS IN THOSE SPOTS FOR THAT TO HAPPEN SOMEONE COULD CRASH AND DIE BECAUSE OF THAT THERE ARE TONS OF ARTICALES AND COMPLAINT AND 1.5MILLION + HONDA ACCORDS FROM 99-02 ARE LIKE THIS IT WASN'T CHANGED UNTIL 03 HONDA CAN'T DENY THE MISTAKE THEY'VE MADE BY PUT PARTS IN THE SPOTS FOR THAT TO HAPPEN PEOPLE'S LIVES ARE AT RISK AND THEY DESERVE RECALLS
TAKATA RECALL;: DURING A HARD SNOWING AND ICY IN THE HIGHWAY DRIVING TO WORK THE ICE MADE ME RAN INTO THE BEGINNING OF THE HIGHWAY EDGE OF THE RARE AND BOTH OF MY AIRBAGS DEPLOYED.

I HAVE TRIED TO ENTER THE VIN NUMBER THROUGH THE AUTO AIRBAG SETTLEMENT.COM WEBSITE POWERED BY NHTSA, AND IT WILL NOT GO THROUGH.
WHEN DRIVING ALONG THE HIGHWAY THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT POPS ON ALONG WITH THE SIDE AIR BAG LIGHT. MY TRANSMISSION SEEMS TO BE GOING OUT. I MOVED FROM ARIZONA TO FLORIDA. I HAD THE AIRBAG RECALL REPLACEMENT. THREE DAYS AGO I SAW THE SRS (SAFETY RESTRAINT SYSTEM) LIGHT COME ON AND STAY ON IN MY CAR. BECAUSE THE RECALL IS GOING INTO BANKRUPTCY I AM VERY CONCERNED ABOUT THE RESTRAINT SYSTEM. NOTHING HAS HAPPENED TO THE CAR. IT JUST TURNED ON.
