TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 HONDA ACCORD. UPON STARTING THE VEHICLE, ALL THE WINDOWS FAILED TO OPERATE WHILE PRESSING THE POWER WINDOW SWITCH. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO CLAWSON HONDA OF FRESNO (6346 N BLACKSTONE AVE, FRESNO, CA 93710 (559) 435-5000) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT AN UNKNOWN MODULE NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONTACT OF A RECALL, BUT NO OPEN RECALLS WERE FOUND. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A POSTCARD FROM TK HOLDINGS, ALERTING HER THAT THEY FILED FOR BANKRUPTCY. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 100,000.
I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. THE CRUISE CONTROL BUTTON WAS ON BUT I WAS NOT USING THE CRUISE CONTROL. HAVEN'T USED IT IN A COUPLE WEEKS BUT THE BUTTON WAS SHOWING ON THE DASH. I TOOK MY FOOT OF THE GAS PETAL TO SLOW DOWN AND THE CAR BEGAN ACCELERATING. FIRST I TRIED TO APPLY THE BRAKE AND THAT SLOWED THE CAR DOWN CONSIDERABLE BUT I I COULD TEL IT WAS STILL TRYING TO ACCELERATE AND I DIDN'T WANT TO WEAR OUT THE BRAKES AND HAVE NO WAY OF STOPPING SO I TOOK MY FOOT OFF THE BRAKE AND TRIED JIGGLING THE GAS WITH MY FOOT THINKING IT WAS STUCK OR BLOCKED AND IT WASN'T. IT FELT LIKE HOW THE GAS PEDAL FEELS WHEN IT'S IN CRUISE CONTROL JUST KIND OF JIGGLING AS YOU PRESS IT. SO I TURNED THE CRUISE CONTROL BUTTON OFF DID AND IT WAS STILL ACCELERATING SO I PUT TH CAR IN NEUTRAL IT REVVED UP TO A VERY HIGH RPM CAN'T REMEMBER EXACTLY WHAT BUT IT SOUNDS LIKE IT WAS FULL THROTTLE DID THAT FOR ABOUT 2-3 SECONDS WHILE I BRAKED AND SLOWED THE CAR DOWN THEN IT STOPPED REVVING AND AFTER I STOPPED FOR S COUPLE MINUTES I DROVE AGAIN AND IT WAS FINE THE REST OF THE DAY. I WAS GOING ABOUT 65 WHEN IT GOT STUCK AND IT GOT UP TO HIGH 70S BEFORE I APPLIED THE BRAKE AND GOT IT DOWN TO 60 THEN IT BEGAN ACCELERATING AGAIN AND GOT UP TO LIKE 70 BEFORE I PUT IT IN NEUTRAL. IF SOMEONE ELSE WAS DRIVING AND DIDN'T THINK TO PUT THE CAR IN NEUTRAL IT COULD HAVE BEEN MUCH MORE SERIOUS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2005 HONDA ACCORD. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH, ANOTHER VEHICLE WAS STALLED ON THE ROAD. THE CONTACT FAILED TO SEE THE VEHICLE AND CRASHED INTO THE REAR OF THE OTHER VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO FULLY DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED AN INJURY TO THE STERNUM THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED FROM THE SCENE. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE WAS NOT AWARE THAT THE VEHICLE HAD TWO RECALLS FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 15V370000 AND 15V320000 (AIR BAGS). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNAVAILABLE.
MY POWER STEERING PRESSURE LINE IS LEAKING, ALSO RESERVOIR LEAKS AND STEERING ALWAYS WHINES AND ITS FULL OF FLUID. LEAKS ON MY DRIVEWAY. WHEN ITS STATIONARY IT LEAKS AND WHEN IN MOTION IT WHINES.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 HONDA ACCORD. WHILE STATIONARY, THE KEYS BECAME VERY HOT AFTER BEING REMOVED FROM THE IGNITION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BUTTONS ON THE KEY FOBIKS BECAME INOPERABLE AND NEITHER OF THE IGNITION KEYS WOULD START THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER AND THE DEALER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 40,000.
MY FRONT PASSENGER POWER WINDOW AND THE TWO BACK WINDOWS HAVE STOPPED WORKING COMPLETELY. THEY CANNOT BE OPENED. I LOOKED ONLINE AND THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE HONDA ACCORDS. IT IS DANGEROUS. THEY JUST STOPPED ONE DAY.
"TAKATA RECALL".....I PURCHASED THIS CAR 2 YEARS AGO AND THE SEAT BELT WARNING LIGHT HAS ALWAYS BEEN LIT. I JUST HAD MY OIL CHANGED TODAY AND THE REPAIR SHOP ADVISED ME THAT THERE WAS AN ERROR CODE WHICH MEANS DEFECTIVE AIR BAG. ALSO THE DRIVER SEAT BELT BUCKLE SHOWED DEFECTIVE. YESTERDAY I RECEIVED 2 DIFFERENT EMAILS FROM NHTSA FOR 2 RECALLS (#19V499 AND #19V501). NO LETTER WAS RECEIVED FROM HONDA YET BUT I HATE TO WAIT FOR A LETTER TO ARRIVE AS THAT COULD TAKE 60 DAYS, THEN WOULD HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE DEALER TO GET THE PARTS AND THEN GET AN APPOINTMENT. THIS SITUATION IS LIFE-THREATENING. IS THERE ANY WAY TO SPEED THIS PROCESS UP? ALSO THE REPAIR SHOP STATED THAT A LOT OF THE AIR BAGS THAT HAVE BEEN REPLACED, ARE NOW BEING RECALLED.
TAKATA RECALL: ON JULY 21 2017, MY SRS LIGHT ON MY 2005 ACCORD CAME ON WHILE TURNING THE WHEEL TO BACK OUT OF A PARKING SPACE. BOUGHT THE CAR IN MARCH OF 2017 AND HAD NO ISSUES UP UNTIL THIS TIME. THE LIGHT HAS REMAINED ON EVER SINCE. RAN THIS VEHICLES VIN AND FOUND NO OPEN RECALLS. MY WIFE DRIVES THIS CAR AND IS VERY PETITE, I FEAR FOR HER SAFETY, AS WELL AS MY OWN AS WE BOTH USE THE CAR. NO HELP FROM DEALER.
WE LIVE IN HOUSTON, TEXAS AREA. ONE RECENT WEEKEND, MY WIFE AND I WERE IN MY 2005 HONDA ACCORD DRIVING ON AN UNOCCUPIED ROAD (LIGHT WEEKEND TRAFFIC AND NO ONE WITHIN 1000 YARDS). MY WIFE AND I HEARD A HUGE EXPLOSION. WE WERE IN MOTION AT THE TIME AND HAD NO IDEA WHAT HAPPENED TO THE CAR, BUT WE KNEW IT WAS POWERFUL. IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE EXPLOSION, WE HEARD A RUSH OF AIR AND WHEN OPENING THE SUNROOF COVER (MOVED BACKWARDS), WE WERE RAINED WITH BROKEN GLASS PARTICLES (ANYWHERE FROM 1MM TO 1INCH). THE SUNROOF HAD EXPLODED AND THE PIECES WERE VERY DANGEROUS. THANK GOODNESS FOR THE COVER THAT CAUGHT MOST OF DEBRIS. HAD WE HAD THAT OPEN, IT'D HAVE BEEN A CATASTROPHIC RESULT. WE DO NOT FEEL ANYTHING CONTACTED THE ROOF AND CAN ONLY SURMISE THAT EITHER A MAJOR PRESSURE CHANGE OCCURRED, A SIGNIFICANT TEMP CHANGE OCCURRED, OR A STRUCTURAL CHANGE CAUSED THE SUNROOF TO EXPLODE. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN IN ANY SIGNIFICANT ACCIDENTS AND IS IN EXCELLENT SHAPE. THE SUNROOF WAS FUNCTIONAL PRIOR TO THIS INCIDENT, BUT USED VERY LITTLE. I HAD TO ORDER ANOTHER SUNROOF AND CUT MYSELF SERIOUSLY WHILE TRYING TO INSTALL THIS UNIT.
THE AIR BAG DASH LIGHT COMES ON INTERMITTENTLY. THE LIGHT WILL COME ON AND GO OFF RANDOMLY. STAYS ON FOR DAYS THEN WILL GO OFF FOR DAYS. MY CONCERN IS ABOUT SAFETY. WILL THE AIR BAG NOT DEPLOY IN THE EVENT OF A COLLISION WHILE THE LIGHT IS ON?
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 HONDA ACCORD HYBRID. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START WHILE PARKED AND THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE FINALLY STARTED AND WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, HONDA OF ONTARIO, CALIFORNIA, BUT THEY REFUSED TO DIAGNOSE IT BECAUSE THE VEHICLE WAS NOT PURCHASED THERE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS INVALID. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 248,000.
THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG LIGHT STAYS ON. THE DEALER WANTS TO CHARGE A RIDICULOUS AMOUNT OF MONEY TO "SEARCH EVERY WIRE ASSOCIATED" WITH THE AIR BAG SYSTEM. THIS WAS A PROBLEM WITH 2005'S MANUFACTURED 7/20/2004-10/8/2004 AND THEY WERE RECALLED. APPARENTLY, THE PROBLEM WAS NEVER FIXED AND MULTIPLE VEHICLE OWNERS HAVE REPORTED THIS. WHY HAS THE RECALL NOT BEEN EXTENDED TO ALL 2005'S? I FEAR FOR MY SAFETY EVERY TIME I DRIVE. I CAN'T AFFORD THE REPAIR NOR CAN I JUST GO BUY A NEW CAR!
AIRBAG DEPLOYED WHILE DRIVING AND CAUSED ACCIDENT. ACCORD REAR ENDED ANOTHER VEHICLE. THERE IS A RECALL ON THE AIRBAG OF THIS VEHICLE WITH OFFER TO REMEDY HOWEVER HONDA TOLD ME THEY WILL NOT HONOR THE RECALL AFTER THE FACT BECAUSE THE BAG ALREADY DEPLOYED. 4/13/2017 ACCIDENT IS RECORDED ON ILLINOIS MOTORIST REPORT #209078 FILED IN COOK COUNTY VIA SCHAUMBURG POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORT# 17-07912. AIRBAG STILL HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED AS THE VEHICLE IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE DUE TO ANOTHER SAFETY RECALL NOT BEING HONORED - (FUEL PUMP ISSUE CAUSING VEHICLE TO STALL WHILE DRIVING).
WITHOUT WARNING MY SUNROOF EXPLODED. THERE WAS NO ROCK OR ANY TYPE OF EXPLANATION. THE SUNROOF UNEXPECTEDLY EXPLODED WHILE I WAS DRIVING MY VEHICLE.
TAKATA RECALL. MY 2005 HONDA ACCORD AIRBAG/SRS LIGHT HAS BEEN CONTINUOUSLY STAYING OFF AND ON.
I WAS GOING HOME AND I PASS FOR A GAS STATION I PUT GAS AND I TURN MY 2005 HONDA ACCORD V6 ON THE CAR DID NOT GO ON GEAR AND NOW IT DOES IT MORE OFTEN BUT THE CHECK ENGINE IS NOT ON SOMEONE TOLD ME THAT IT MY BE A TRANSMISSION PROBLEM
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 HONDA ACCORD. WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THE VEHICLE DROVE OVER A ROCK IN THE ROAD AND THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED WITHOUT WARNING OR IMPACT. NO INJURIES WERE SUSTAINED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 177,143.
THE LINE FOR POWER STEERING BEGAN LEAKING AND CAUGHT FIRE AND I HAD TO REPLACE THE LINE AT MY EXPENSE. I COULD NOT GET HELP FROM THE DEALER AT THAT TIME. I HAVE MY RECEIPT FOR THE LINE THAT WAS ABOUT$149.00 TO REPLACE.
"SUDDEN UNINTENDED ACCELERATION" IN A PRIVATE PARKING. THIS HAPPENED WHEN THE DRIVER WAS ABOUT TO PARK THE CAR ON FEB 27, 2017. I WAS THE DRIVER AND MY HUSBAND WAS A PASSENGER IN THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE BACK SEAT, WITH SEAT BELTS ON. AFTER I ENTERED THE PARKING AREA, AS I WAS ABOUT TO PARK, THE CAR ABRUPTLY SPED UP, CRASHED INTO THE BUILDING AHEAD OF ME, AND THE DRIVER'S AIRBAG WAS DEPLOYED. THE FRONT OF THE CAR AND THE BUILDING WALL WERE DAMAGED (PHOTOS ARE ENCLOSED). ALL THIS HAPPENED SO SUDDENLY AND UNEXPECTEDLY. SEVERAL PEOPLE FROM INSIDE THE BUILDING RUSHED OUT TO SEE WHAT HAPPENED. I WAS VISIBLY SHAKEN AND QUITE FRIGHTENED BY THIS ACCIDENT. THE BUSINESS OFFICE STAFF TOOK PHOTOS OF THE DAMAGED WALL AND THE VEHICLE. MY TWO THUMBS WERE ACHING WITH MINOR BURN, BUT SINCE THERE WAS NO OTHER OBVIOUS PHYSICAL INJURY TO US, WE DECLINED THE EMERGENCY MEDICAL CARE. STATE POLICE TROOPER CAME, TOOK SOME INFORMATION BUT SAID THAT BECAUSE THIS ACCIDENT HAPPENED IN A PRIVATE PROPERTY IT WILL NOT BE REPORTED. I HAD NEVER THOUGHT ANYTHING LIKE THIS ACCIDENT COULD EVER HAPPEN. I GOOGLED AND FOUND CASES IN WHICH UNINTENDED SUDDEN ACCELERATION HAD ACTUALLY HAPPENED. HASN'T THIS SAFETY ISSUE BEEN ADDRESSED? MY HUSBAND I ARE THE ORIGINAL OWNER OF THIS CAR.
"TAKATA RECALL" I WAS COMING TO A STOP FOR A TRAFFIC LIGHT AND DID NOT BRAKE IN TIME TO STOP MY VEHICLE BEFORE I TAPPED INTO THE REAR BUMPER OF AN SUV. I WAS GOING VERY SLOW /PROBABLY UNDER 10MPH. MY DRIVERS SIDE AIRBAG DEPLOYED AND I GOT CUTS ON MY ARM AND A CHEMICAL BURN AS WELL. MY DRIVERS SIDE SEATBELT IS NOT WORKING NOW (LOCKED.) I HAVE SLIGHT DAMAGE ON THE RIGHT FRONT PASSENGER SIDE BUMPER. I BECAME AWARE OF THE TAKATA AIRBAG RECALL AFTER THIS HAPPENED. THIS OCCURRED ON 2/20/2017 IN THE DAYTIME/ CLEAR, SUNNY SKIES.
"TAKATA RECALL" MY HONDA WAS TOTALED IN FEBRUARY, IT WAS A HEAD ON COLLISION AND NOT ONE OF THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. THIS CAR IS SUPPOSED TO BE EQUIPPED WITH AIRBAGS IN FRONT AND SIDE AIRBAGS. NOT ONE DEPLOYED. I HAD 3 RECALLS ON AIRBAGS AND RETURNED TO THE DEALERSHIP EACH TIME TO HAVE THEM FIXED BUT THAT DID NOT HELP. THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION WHEN HIT ON A HIGHWAY. IT WAS TURNING AND A TRUCK HIT ME HEAD ON. I HAVE ATTACHED IMAGES.

TAKATA INFLATORS - I NEVER GOT A RECALL NOTICE AND THEY ARE SAYING THAT MY AIRBAG WAS FIXED IN 2014 I KNOW FOR SURE I HAVE NOT BEEN INTO A DEALERSHIP TO GET THIS FIXED - HOW DO I GET MY AIRBAG FIXED?
TAKATA RECALL -I AM THE OWNER OF A BEAUTIFUL 2005 HONDA ACCORD EX. I AM THE ORIGINAL AND ONLY OWNER OF MY CAR. MY CAR HAS THIS ISSUE WHERE IT IS BURNING EXCESSIVE OIL AND ENGINE SIEZES. (I MEAN REALLY BAD). I WOULD GET AN OIL CHANGE TODAY AND CAR WOULD BE OUT OF OIL WITHIN 2WEEKS...I'VE SPENT OVER 3000K DOLLARS ON TRYING TO FIGURE WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS AND NO MECHANIC COULD FIGURE IT OUT. I FINALLY WENT TO A SPECIAL MECHANIC WHO FINALLY DID SOME RESEARCH AND FIGURED OUT THAT THIS WAS A KNOWN ISSUE BY HONDA AND HAVE NOT YET DONE A RECALL FOR THE ISSUE. APPARENTLY BASED ON ARTICLES FROM THE HONDA/BRAMAN AND TAKATA SITES (WWW.CARCOMPLAINTS.COM/HONDA/ACCORD THAT AFTER 80K MILES THE ENGINE BURNS EXCESSIVE OIL IN THE ENGINE. MY CAR TAKES "FULL SYNTHETIC" SO ITS GOTTEN TO BE REALLY EXPENSIVE TO OWN THIS CAR. TO MENTION, THE CAR HAS NO LEAKS, ALL PARTS ARE IN WORKING ORDER. I CALLED AND FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE WEBSITE SINCE JANUARY 2017 AND HAVE NOT HEARD ANYTHING BACK. I WOULD LIKE TO GET THIS ISSUE FIXED AND PUT MY CAR BACK TO NORMAL. THIS ISSUE IS AFFECTING OTHER AREAS OF THE CAR LIKE THE RADIO, THE BACK LIGHTS. I HAVE TO CHECK AND PUT OIL IN THE CAR EVERY COUPLE DAYS SO THAT MY ENGINE DOESNT SEIZE.
THE HONDA STATION SERVICE SAID THE AIR BAG DOESN'T WORK PROPERLY
THE CLUSTER LIGHTS AND THE DOME LIGHT WILL GET DIM. THE DOME LIGHT DOES WHEN YOU OPEN THE DOORS. THE CLUSTER LIGHTS WILL WHILE THE HEAD LIGHTS ARE ON. THE LIGHTS ON THE RADIO DO THE SAME. THE RADIO WILL MAKE A LOUD NOISE AND STOP PLAYING UNTIL YOU TURN OFF AND TURN BACK ON.THE WIRING TO BACK SPEAKERS IS PUT IN WRONG DONT WORK AT ALL. THE SEAT BELTS WILL LOCK WHEN TRYING TO PULL THEM AND IT DONT MATTER IF ITS IN MOTION OR STATIONARY.
I STARTED TO NOTICE THIS ISSUE MONTHS AFTER PURCHASING IT USED FROM A PRIVATE PARTY. DURING THE WINTER TIME WHEN IT WAS PARTICULARLY COLD OUTSIDE, I NOTICED THAT MY POWER BRAKES WOULD START WORKING WHEN I FIRST START UP THE CAR. EVENTUALLY, I WOULD DISCOVER THAT THE BRAKE BOOSTER CHECK VALVE WAS STICKING AND PREVENTING THE POWER BRAKES FROM BEING ACTIVE WHEN STARTING A VEHICLE IN THE COLD WEATHER. IT WAS VERY CONFUSING AT FIRST BECAUSE THERE WOULD BE STORED POWER BRAKES IN THE VACUUM BOOSTER FROM THE DAY BEFORE THAT WOULD BE USED UP WHEN BACKING OUT OF MY PARKING SPOT. HOWEVER, AS I WAS MOVING FORWARD AND SUBSEQUENTLY WANTING TO APPLY THE BRAKES, I FOUND THAT THE POWER BRAKES WERE NOT WORKING. THE BRAKE PEDAL BECAME HARD AND WOULD NOT GO DOWN AND I HAD TO JAM ON THE BRAKE PEDAL AS HARD AS I COULD TO GET IT TO SLOW DOWN. HOWEVER, ONCE THE CAR ENGINE HAD BEEN ON FOR A WHILE, I WOULD HEAR A CLICK NOISE (PROBABLY THE CHECK VALVE UNSTICKING) AND THEN POWER BRAKES WERE RESTORED FOR THE REST OF THE COMMUTE. I EVENTUALLY HAD THE BRAKE BOOSTER VACUUM HOSE REPLACED (WHICH ALSO CONTAINED THE CHECK VALVE) AND NO LONGER HAD THIS ISSUE. THE MECHANIC WHO REPLACED THE HOSE CONFIRMED THAT THE CHECK VALVE WAS FAULTY BECAUSE THE OLD HOSE WOULD NOT ALLOW AIR THROUGH WHEN THEY TRIED TO BLOW THROUGH IT FROM EITHER DIRECTION.
I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND I WHEN I REMOVED MY FOOT FROM THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL THE CAR KEPT UP THE SAME SPEED. I PUT MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE AND IT DID NOT SLOW THE CAR. I DOWNSHIFTED ALL THE WAY DOWN TO FIRST GEAR YET WAS UNABLE TO SLOW THE CAR. I FINALLY TURNED OFF THE ENGINE AND WAS ABLE TO STOP THE CAR ON THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY. I HAD TO GO THROUGH A RED LIGHT AND FORTUNATELY THERE WAS NO CROSS TRAFFIC. NO ACCIDENT OCCURRED IN THIS INCIDENT BUT THERE WERE FOUR OF US IN THE CAR. I HAD THE CAR TOWED TO MY MECHANIC AND HE DETERMINED THAT THE CAUSE WAS THE THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY FAILURE. IT IS NOW REPAIRED. *TR
STEERING WHEEL VERY DIFFICULT TO TURN AT LOW SPEED. THIS STARTED ABOUT A MONTH AGO (NOVEMBER 2016) AND CONTINUES TODAY (12/22/2016).

HOWEVER, OUR CONCERN IS THAT THE AIRBAGS WILL DEPLOY IN AN ACCIDENT AND THAT THE METAL CHARDS THEY ARE KNOWN TO EXPLODE IS WORSE THAN NO AIRBAG! THE INTERMITTENT NATURE OF THE PROBLEM MEANS IT CAN'T BE DIAGNOSED AND REPAIRED. ALSO, THE ACCORD HYBRID MODEL IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE TAKATA RECALL, DESPITE THE FACT THAT IT APPARENTLY HAS THE VERY SAME TAKATA AIRBAG SYSTEM..NOR WAS IT A PART OF THE IMA LAWSUIT THAT WAS THE SAME SYSTEM THAT THE CIVIC HAS A LAWSUIT OVER. JUST BECAUSE OF THE LOW NUMBER OF THIS MODEL BEING SOLD, OWNERS SHOULDN'T BE IGNORED AND NOT SERVED AS THE MASS NUMBER OF OTHER MODEL OWNERS, WHO DIDN'T BUY THE DISCONTINUED PROBLEM MODEL THAT ONLY A SMALL NUMBER OF US GOT STUCK WITH. LIKE AT 91,000 I NEED A IMA BATTERY REPLACEMENT JUST AS I KNEW THERE WAS PROBLEMS A LONG TIME BEFORE THE DASH ICON ILLUMINATED, BUT HONDA WON'T ACKNOWLEDGE UNTIL THEN. CONVENIENT TO MASK BATTERY PROBLEMS WITH A SOFTWARE UPDATE WHICH SERVES THE PURPOSE TO PRETTY MUCH JUST DELAY AND SUPPRESS THE ISSUE UNTIL THE 10 YR/100,000M WARRANTY IS OVER. IT IS KNOWN TO MAKE MILEAGE FAR WORSE BUT HEY-DRAWS OUT BEING ABLE TO PROVE ITS THE BATTERY! WORKS FOR THEM-( HONDA) WHATS WORSE IS WHEN YOU BOUGHT THE JUNK MODEL FOR OVER THE KBB VALUE, HAVE PAID IN FULL AND ONLY BOUGHT 2YRS AGO- SO THAT NOW YOU NEED A CAR ALL OVER AGAIN AND CANT SELL THIS WHEN IT GETS POOR GAS MILEAGE AND NEEDS 4000 IN REPAIRS. THIS VEHICLE WA PLATE AWJ1933 WAS EMITTING BURNING OIL AND NITROUS OXIDE COMPONENTS THAT WERE VISIBLE TO THE HUMAN EYE. THIS VEHICLE WAS AT THE INTERSECTION OF 112TH AVE/GHER RD AND SR500. IT WAS IDLING AND POLLUTING CANCEROUS CLOUDS. IT SEEMS THERE IS NO ONLINE REPORTING FORM FOR VEHICLE AIR POLLUTION IN WA STATE, BUT THERE IS ONE IN OREGON.
ONE DAY AS I WAS DRIVING AT NIGHT, I HAPPEN TO USE MY HIGH BEAMS. ONCE TURNING THEM ON, IT SHUT MY ENGINE OFF WHILE IN MOTION. THERE WERE NO PRIOR SERVICES DONE TO MY MY CAR THAT WOULD MAKE ME THINK IT COULD BE MALFUNCTIONING DUE TO A MECHANIC'S ERROR. I ALSO TRIED TURNING MY HIGH BEAMS ON WITH THE ENGINE RUNNING AND IN PARK. IT STILL SHUT MY ENGINE OFF. EVERY MECHANIC I ASKED FOR A DIAGNOSTIC, THEY WERE BLOWN AND RESPONDED WITH NEVER HEARING OF THIS PROBLEM. I REPLACED THE OLD ALTERNATOR WITH A NEW ONE AND IT STILL DOES THE SAME THING. SINCE THE PURCHASE OF MY CAR, THE ONLY PARTS I REPLACED WAS AND O-RING FOR THE POWER STEERING, BRAKE CALIBERS AND ROTORS AND RECENTLY THE ALTERNATOR. I COMPLETELY STOPPED DRIVING IT TO PREVENT ANY FURTHER DAMAGE OR POSSIBLE ACCIDENTS.
CLEAR COAT PEELING OFF/PAINT CRACKING AND LOOKS LIKE A CREEPING CANCER ON THE HOOD, ROOF AND TRUNK IN PARTICULAR ON MY BURGUNDY COLORED VEHICLE AND I SEE SIMILAR MODELS WITH THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM ALL OVER MY TOWN. THE PAINTING PROCESS USED WAS OBVIOUSLY DEFECTIVE.
WHEN I FIRST PURCHASED MY HONDA, IT WAS BROUGHT BACK TO THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES FOR A "SHAKING" AT CERTAIN SPEEDS. THIS WAS DISMISSED OVER AND OVER AND BLAMED ON TIRE AIR PRESSURE AND ALIGNMENT. I KNEW THIS COULD NOT BE THE CAUSE AND FOUND OTHER HONDA DRIVERS COMPLAINING ABOUT THE SAME ISSUE. RECENTLY, THE PASSENGER SIDE TIRE CAME DISENGAGED WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE CAUSING THE CAR TO CRASH DOWN ON THE ROTOR. THE VEHICLE WAS AT A DEALERSHIP RECENTLY FOR A REPAIR, I BELIEVE THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN OVER LOOKED BY HONDA AND COULD HAVE CAUSED SEVERE INJURY TO MYSELF OR OTHER DRIVERS. IT APPEARS THE SHAKING DIRECTLY CAUSED THIS ISSUE WITH THE VEHICLE.

TAKATA RECALL UPON COMPLETION OF THE TAKATA AIRBAG RECALL THE VEHICLE IS CONTINUALLY HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE AIRBAG LIGHT BEING DISPLAYED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE PASSENGER AND DRIVER SIDE IS AFFECTED. THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG OFF INDICATOR NO LONGER ILLUMINATES WHEN THE SEAT IS NOT OCCUPIED AS WELL. PRIOR TO THE RECALL THERE WERE NO PROBLEMS WITH THE AIRBAG LIGHTS FOR DRIVER OR PASSENGER. THE ABOVE ISSUE IS NOTED WHEN THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION AND STATIONARY WITH THE ENGINE ON.

WALSH HONDA IN MACON, GEORGIA WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE TAKATA AIR BAG RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 60,000.
MY HEADLIGHTS APPEAR TO NOT ILLUMINATE VERY FAR IN THE NIGHT ON THE LOW BEAM. ADDITIONALLY AS A CONTRIBUTING THE OUTER CASING OF THE HEADLIGHTS ARE DULL AND THE PLASTIC APPEARS TO HAVE DETERIORATED. WHILE THE DEALERSHIP I SAW 3 OTHER HONDAS WITH THE SAME CLOUDED OUTER CASINGS. ON THE HWY AT NIGHT I NOTICE NIGHTS ARE NOTICEABLY PROVIDING LESS LIGHT ON THE ROAD - AND I AM NOT COMPARING TO THE NEW STYLE TYPE LIGHTS - JUST REGULAR LIGHTS ON OTHER CARS SHINE WAY FURTHER OUT. THE DEALERSHIP SUGGESTED AT NEARLY $100 EACH I COULD HAVE A BODY SHOP WORK ON THEM. THIS APPEARS TO BE SAFETY HAZARD FROM POORLY DESIGNED MATERIALS USED FOR THE HEADLIGHTS AND IT FEEL HONDA SHOULD REMEDY THIS AS IT IS MAKING MY HEADLIGHT NOT PERFORM AS INTENDED OR EXPECTED. THE DEALERS ATTITUDE ( BEAVERTON HONDA) WAS NOT TO DO ANYTHING BUT THEY DID ACKNOWLEDGE THE DAMAGE VISIBILITY DUE TO THIS AND SAID IT WAS FROM BEING USED OUTSIDE IN WEATHER? IT'S A CAR NOT AN INDOOR HOUSE CAT!
"TAKATA RECALL" WE HAVE 2 HONDAS THAT HAD THE AIRBAGS REPLACED AS PART OF THE RECALL. SHORTLY AFTER THE AIRBAG WAS REPLACED THE SRS LIGHT CAME ON THE DASHBOARD OF BOTH VEHICLES. RT. 23 HONDA, POMPTON PLAINS, NJ DID THE REPLACEMENT. THEY WANT $300 FOR EACH VEHICLE TO FIX THE PROBLEM THAT THEY SAY IS NOT RELATED TO THE AIRBAG REPLACEMENT. IT SEEMS UNLIKELY THAT BOTH OF OUR CARS WOULD HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM AFTER THE AIRBAG REPLACEMENT. I HAVE FILED SECOND REPORT SINCE 2 VIN NUMBERS ARE INVOLVED. I ALSO FILED A REPORT WITH HONDA. WE LAST SPOKE TO RT. 23 HONDA ABOUT THIS ON 4/21/2016.
I WAS INVOLVED IN A CAR ACCIDENT. I WAS DRIVING A HONDA ACCORD 2005 AND WAS REAR ENDED BY A BMW X5. THERE SEEMED TO BE MINOR DAMAGE TO MY REAR BUMPER WITH NO COLLISION FROM THE FRONT. THE NEXT DAY, I STARTED MY CAR TURN ON THE AC AND LET THE CAR COOL DOWN. I STEPPED OUT OF THE CAR AND IN A FEW MINUTES THE DRIVER AIRBAG DEPLOYED. I TOOK THE CAR TO HONDA MOTOR SO THEY COULD FIND OUT WHAT IS WRONG WITHT THE CAR, BUT HONDA WANTS 115 DOLLARS TO MAKE A DIANOSTIC WHICH I THINK IS RIDICULOUS. PLEASE ADVICE, I'M DRIVING A CAR WITHOUT AIRBAGS THAT HONDA REFUSES TO EVEN LOOK AT UNLESS I PAY 115 DOLLARS.
AFTER TAKING MY 05 ACCORD IN FOR THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER AIRBAG RECALL AND HAVING THEM REPLACED, THE EMPLOYEE AT THE HONDA SERVICE CENTER TOLD ME THAT MY SRS LIGHT IS ON AND IT IS PROBABLY BECAUSE OF THE SENSOR FOR THE HARNESS. THIS LIGHT HAS BEEN COMING ON AND OFF FOR WELL OVER A YEAR, AND RECENTLY HAS JUST STAYED ON AT ALL TIMES. HE TOLD ME IT WOULD COST $130 JUST TO DIAGNOSE THIS PROBLEM, AND THEN THE COST OF FIXING IT, IF THIS IS INDEED WHAT IS CAUSING THE LIGHT TO STAY ON. MY VIN IS NOT PART OF THE HONDA RECALL FOR THIS SPECIFIC ISSUE, I BELIEVE HONDA SOMEHOW DID NOT TAKE INTO ACCOUNT ALL OF THE VINS THAT ARE EFFECTED BY THIS RECALL. I TALKED TO HONDA AND THEY ARE UNWILLING TO HELP AT ALL. I AM CURRENTLY PREGNANT AND A PETITE WOMAN, THE HIGHEST RISK FACTOR FOR THIS ISSUE IF THE AIRBAGS FAIL TO DEPLOY. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN HONDA. WILL BE CONTACTING MY ATTORNEY AFTER DIAGNOSIS IS MADE, ASSUMING DIAGNOSIS IS SPECIFICALLY THE SAME AS THE RECALL.
TAKATA RECALL- I CANNOT GET ANY ANSWERS FROM HONDA AT 1-888-234-2138 REGARDING WHY MY HONDA TAKATA HAS NOT BEEN RECALLED. THEY PUT ME ON HOLD AND NEVER PICK UP AGAIN. IT'S A TOTAL RUN AROUND.
