WAS IN AN ACCIDENT WHERE I NEEDED TO QUICKLY STEER OUT OF A SEVERE CRASH SND WAS NOT ABLE TO BECAUSETHE STEERING GOT STUCK. NOTICED PROBLEMS OFF AND ON BUT TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THE ASSURED US THERE WAS NO PROBLEN WITH CAR. WE WERE NOT NOTIFIED UNTIL AFTER THE ACCIDENT THAT THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE THIS CERTAIN VEHICLE STEERING AND AIR BAGS . AT THE TIME OF THE ACCIDENT WENT CRASH OCCURED THE AIRBAGS ALSO FAILED TO WORK THE CAME OUT FLAT.
HEADLIGHTS HAVE TOP LAYER COMING OFF THE FINISH. THE HEADLIGHT THEN TURNS YELLOW AND THE CLEAR LENS BECOMES CLOUDY. THIS GREATLY REDUCES THE AMOUNT OF LIGHT ON THE ROAD WHEN DRIVING AT NIGHT. THIS CAUSES INCREASED DANGER OF A CAR HITTING AN ANIMAL OR PEDESTRIAN WHEN DRIVING AT NIGHT. AFTERMARKET LENS CLEANING KITS ONLY OFFER A TEMPORARY FIX. THE ONLY TRUE FIX IS TO REPLACE THE HEADLIGHTS, AT A COST OF ALMOST $1000. THE HEADLIGHTS ARE A SAFETY DEVISE THAT SHOULD LAST THE LIFE OF THE CAR, JUST LIKE A SEAT BELT OR AIR BAG. THIS HEADLIGHT PROBLEM CAN BE FOUND ON EVERY CAR MANUFACTURE, NOT JUST HONDA. CLOUDY HEADLIGHTS SHOULD BE REPLACED AT NO COST.
I DID NOT FINANCE MY 2005 HONDA; I PAID CASH UPFRONT $18,000+. FROM THE BEGINNING I HAVE BEEN REPORTING TO HONDA THAT THERE IS A "MAJOR" PROBLEM WITH THE BRAKES! I BOUGHT THE CAR IN LATE SEPTEMBER 2005;. WHEN WINTER CAME, I NOTICED THAT MY BRAKES WOULD STALL WHEN IT EXTREME WEATHER(SNOW, HEAVY RAIN, EXTREMELY COLD WEATHER)! DURING THESE POOR WEATHER CONDITIONS, WHEN I PRESS ON THE BRAKES, THE CAR WILL NOT STOP RIGHT AWAY. THERE IS A HEAVY PULSATING NOISE AND FEELING GOING ON, AND THE CAR WILL NOT STOP UNTIL I HAVE PRESSED DOWN ON THE BRAKES AS FAR AS I COULD AND THE CAR HAS CONTINUED MOVING FOR A DISTANCE. OVER THE YEARS, I HAVE REPORTED IT AND HAVE TAKEN IT BACK AND FORTH TO THE DEALERSHIP, AND HAVE BEEN TOLD EACH TIME THAT THEY CAN NOT FIND A PROBLEM! I FEEL AS THOUGH THEY DIDN'T TAKE RESPONSIBILITY BECAUSE I DID NOT FINANCE THE CAR.THERE HAVE BEEN TIMES WHEN I THOUGHT THAT I WAS GOING TO DIE, BECAUSE OF THIS CRITICAL BRAKE PROBLEM. TODAY IS MONDAY, JANUARY 11, 2016... THE WEATHER WAS EXTREMELY COLD THIS MORNING (MAYBE AROUND 32 DEGREES), AND THIS SITUATION WITH THESE HONDA MANUFACTURED BRAKES OCCURRED AGAIN. I WAS TERRIFIED WHEN MY I PRESSED DOWN ON THE BRAKES TO STOP FOR A WOMAN PUSHING A BABY CARRIAGE AT A SCHOOL CROSS-WALK! HONDA HAS AVOIDED TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS HIGHLY DANGEROUS PROBLEM FOR FAR TOO LONG, AND MANY PEOPLE HAVE PROBABLY DIED OR BECOME GREATLY INJURED TO PROBLEMS SUCH AS THIS WITH THEIR HONDA VEHICLES! FROM THIS REPORT I AM HOPING FOR AN IMMEDIATE RESPONSE AND ACTION TO THIS "HIGHLY CRITICAL" MATTER. TODAY, WAS THE FINAL STRAW! THESE BRAKES HAVE TO BE RECALLED....I DON'T WANT TO DIE AND I CERTAINLY DON'T WANT ANYONE ELSE TO DIE BECAUSE THE BRAKES ON MY 2005 HONDA WOULD NOT STOP!
THE NAVIGATION SYSTEM ON MY 2005 ACCORD SEDAN IS NOT WORKING. THE SCREEN DISPLAYS "CHECK YOUR DISK" BUT IT ALSO AFFECTS THE A/C-HEATER FAN CONTROL, RADIO PRESET STATIONS, CLOCK SETTINGS, STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS. THIS TO ME IS A MANUFACTURER DEFECT AND SHOULD BE RECALLED. MANY PEOPLE ARE HAVING THE SAME OR SIMILAR ISSUE. MY MAIN CONCERN IS THE LACK OF NOT BEING ABLE TO ADJUST THE FAN ON EITHER A/C OR HEATER, IT SEEMS TO ALL BE CONNECTED TO THE NAVIGATION SYSTEM. PLEASE HELP! THIS NEEDS TO BE LOOKED AT AS A SAFETY RECALL, IN CASE OF FOGGY WINDOW I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO INCREASE THE FAN CONTROL. HOW DO I KNOW YOU TOOK MY CONCERN IN CONSIDERATION? ONCE AGAIN, PLEASE HELP!
MY CAR HAS LARGE GRAY SPOT AROUND THE WINDOW FRAME AND ROOF TOP WHERE THE PAINT HAS FADED.
TAKATA RECALL. THE AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT STAYS ON. DEALER ACKNOWLEDGES THIS BUT THE VIN DOESN'T SHOW THE VEHICLE (2005 HONDA ACCORD HYBRID) COVERED UNDER THE RECALL.
DRIVER SIDE FRONT AND REAR WHEEL WERE STOLEN WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED INSIDE THE APARTMENT COMMUNITY.
HONDA STRUNG ME A LONG FOR TWO YEARS, RESETTING THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM TO CLEAR THE ENGINE LIGHT EACH TIME IT WAS BROUGHT IN FOR SERVICE. SINCE THOSE TWO YEARS THE WARRANTY HAS EXPIRED ON MY HYBRID BATTERY, WHICH COST $3500 OR MORE TO REPLACE. IT IS THEIR PRODUCT, AND KNEW THE PROBLEM WAS TO REPLACE THE BATTERY. THEY SCAMMED MY SO NOW IM STUCK WITH A USELESS CAR. THEY WOULD NOT EVEN AGREE TO ASSIST ME IN BUYING ANOTHER ONE.
I HAVE A HONDA ACCORD V6 2005 MODEL CAR AND MAINTENANCE DONE AS PER MANUALS. I AM NOW GETTING JERKS WHILE ACCELERATING OR AFTER STARTING AND PUTTING CAR IN REVERSE GEAR.THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TURNED ON NOW. I DID A CODE SCAN AND GETTING CODE P0741. THIS IS AN ISSUE WITH TRANSMISSION POWER. I DID SOME GOOGLE AND FOUND THAT HONDA HAD THIS MANUFACTURING DEFECT IN THIS MODEL AND LOT OF CAR WERE RECALLED FOR THIS REASON. I FOUND NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER : 11V395000 ADDRESSING SIMILAR PROBLEM AND AS OF 23RD SEPTEMBER 2014, 1.5 MILLION (1512107) VEHICLES HAS BEEN RECALLED FOR SIMILAR ISSUE.THE HONDA RECALL NUMBER IS R89 AND THE RECALL WAS PLACED ON AUGUST 27TH 2011, FOR HONDA ACCORDS 2005-2010 FOR THE TRANSMISSION. THIS ISSUE IS TRANSMISSION POWER IS NOT WORKING AS EXPECTED AND IT JERKS WHILE CHANGING GEAR OR SPEED. THIS IS DANGEROUS FROM DRIVING SAFETY POINT OF VIEW. I NEED HELP BY THE NHTSA AS I STRONGLY FEEL THAT MY CASE IS GENUINE AND WITH REFERENCE TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER : 11V395000, MY VEHICLE SHOULD BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS RECALL BY AMERICAN HONDA. ON THAT NOTE, I DO HOPE TO RECEIVE A RESOLUTION RESPONSE , IN A TIMELY MANNER, FROM YOUR EXECUTIVE TEAM OR SOMEONE ELSE THAT IS IN A POSITION TO DO THE RIGHT THING.
HAVING THE DREADED OIL BURNING PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE AND HAD TO REPLACE MY ENGINE 4 TIMES SINCE DECEMBER 2015. I TRIED TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP THE 1ST TIME THINKING THEY WOULD HAVE A SOLUTION TO THIS KNOWN PROBLEM WITH THIS YEAR AND MAKE OF THEIR CAR. THEY PLAYED EXTREMELY DUMB AND SAID THEY NEVER HEARD OF THE ISSUE I WAS HAVING AND THAT I WAS THE FIRST ONE THEY HEARD IT FROM EVEN THOUGH IT'S WORLDWIDE ON MANY THREADS & FORUMS. THE PROBLEM STARTS OFF THE SAME THE OIL LIGHTS STARTS FLASHING (MEANING THE OIL LEVEL IS LOW), THEN THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS COMES ON, AND THEN YOUR SCREWED DUE TO A BLOWN PISTON OR POSSIBLE ENGINE SEIZURE IF YOU CONTINUE TO DRIVE IT. SOMEHOW THE OIL BURNS INTERNALLY AND CONSUMES ALL THE OIL WITHIN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME. 200 MILES INTO A FRESH OIL CHANGE AND THE CAR IS BONE DRY WITH NO LEAKS SPOT. EACH ENGINE I REPLACED IT WITH HAD BETWEEN 50K-80K MILES ON IT AND THE SPARK PLUGS, WIRES, OIL FILTER AND OIL WAS REPLACED EVERY TIME. WITHIN 1-2 MONTHS THE SAME OIL BURNING PROBLEM HAPPENS. I SPENT WELL OVER $8,000, ALMOST LOST MY JOB AND HAD TO DROP OUT OF COLLEGE DUE TO THE INCONVENIENCE IT HAS CAUSED ME ALL WITHIN A 10 MONTH PERIOD.

IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE FLUID WAS LEAKING FROM THE POWER STEERING HOSE AND A CLAMP WAS PLACED ON THE HOSE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE SEAT BELT WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED WHEN THE SEAT BELT WAS FASTENED AND THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, BUT THE SEAT BELT FAILED TO RETRACT. THE FAILURE RECURRED MULTIPLE TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 180,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2005 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE THE DRIVER WAS DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE DRIVER CRASHED INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED NECK AND BACK INJURIES AND THE DRIVER SUSTAINED SEVERE HEADACHES THAT DID NOT REQUIRE MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 105,000.
OWNER:I HIT A DIP WITH THIS ACCORD 3.0 WITH VTEC ENGINE WAS DRIVING DOWN STREET WHEN CAR MADE FUNNY NOISE AND THE STEERING GOT HARD TO TURN. PULLED OVER AND FOUND POWER STEERING WAS LEAKING. DROVE IT TO SHOP ORDERED HOSE THEN DROPPED HOSE WITH FLUID AT REPAIR SHOP. TECHNICIAN: POWER STEERING HOSE BROKE HARD AND OLD LEAKING FLUID EVERYWHERE CAUSING CERPINTINE BELT COME OFF. THE HARDENED POWER STEERING HOSE BROKE DUE TO FACT THAT BREAKING OF 2 PASSENGER SIDE MOTOR MOUNT TO BRACKET BOLTS IN BRACKET CAUSING ENGINE TO RAISE DURING ACCELERATION AND PULLING ON HOSES. CAR DROVE IN OK. AFTER REPLACING BRACKET AND HOSE NOTICED WATER LEAKING FROM BEHIND TIMING BELT AND REMOVED TOP COVER. FOUND WATER PUMP LEAKING WEEP HOLE AND FOUND IDLER PULLEY AND BOLT CAME LOOSE AND FELL OFF.(IDLER PULLEY HAS A SPECIAL BOLT WITH WASHER END THAT IF DONT WIGGLE THE PULLY WHILE TIGHTENING CAN TIGHTEN PULLEY TWEAKED AND NOT COMPLETE ALSO USE LOCTITE) ALSO FOUND THE HARMONIC BALANCER BOLT TO BE OVER TORQUED MAKING IT NEAR IMPOSSIBLE TO REMOVE WITHOUT SPECIAL OCTAGON HOLDING TOOL. OF COURSE CUSTOMER DOESN'T UNDERSTAND HOW SO MANY THINGS ARE WRONG WHEN ALL HE SAW WAS BROKEN POWER STEERING HOSE.(WHICH WHEN FLUID LEAKS CAN ALSO CATCH CAR ON FIRE) NOW WE SUGGESTED REPLACEMENT OF WATER PUMP AND TIMING KIT BUT CUSTOMER WANTS VEHICLE IMMEDIATELY AND FEELS WE CREATED THESE OTHER PROBLEMS ON PURPOSE WHICH LEFT ME NO CHOICE BUT TO DO LABOR FOR FREE JUST TO PROVE IM NOT! THE LIFT OF ENGINE AND FLUID LEAK CAUSED SEVERAL BUSHINGS TO COME APART. HE MUST HAVE HIT DIP HARD.
THE HEAD UNIT FAILED MAKING THE ENTIRE CONTROL PANEL DARK. THE ONLY WAY TO REPAIR THIS IS TO HAVE TO PURCHASE AN ENTIRE AUDIO UNIT WHICH DID NOT FAIL. PARTS WERE THE FRONT PANEL FOR $243.44 AND THE HEAD UNIT FOR 900.65 PLUS INSTALLATION COSTS. AS THIS WAS A SAFETY ISSUE WE HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO REPLACE. THE LIGHTS SHOULD NOT FAIL AND THE COST IS EXCESSIVE REQUIRING REPLACEMENT OF WORKING PARTS.
I HAVE RECENTLY BEGAN TO EXPERIENCE ISSUES WITH MY HONDA WHERE IT SUDDENLY STALLS WHILE MOVING. I HAVE ALSO NOTICED SOME CLICKING NOISES AND SURGES AS IF THE TRANSMISSION IS HAVING ISSUES. I SEE THAT THERE WAS A RECALL IN 2011 FOR HONDA TO REPLACE THE TCM (TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE); HOWEVER, MY VEHICLE WAS NOT PART OF THIS RECALL AND I BELIEVE I AM NOW EXPERIENCE THE VERY PROBLEMS THAT THE RECALL FIX WAS TO RESOLVE. I AM SEEING THE VERY COMPLAINT ON YOUR SITE FROM OTHERS WHO ALSO HAVE HONDA ACCORDS FOR THE SAME YEAR OTHERS. MY VEHICLE HAS BEEN REGULARLY SERVICED AND THERE HAVE NEVER BEEN ANY INDICATION OF TRANSMISSION ISSUES.
THE TRANSMISSION FAILED AT APPROXIMATELY 70,000 MILES WHILE DRIVING UP A HILL. THE ENGINE BEGAN REVVING, AND THE VEHICLE LOST ALL ACCELERATION. SHORTLY THEREAFTER, I APPLIED THE BRAKES, PUT ON THE HAZARD LIGHTS, PUT THE CAR IN PARK, AND TURNED THE CAR OFF. I THEN RESTARTED THE CAR, SHIFTED INTO DRIVE, AND ATTEMPTED TO ACCELERATE, BUT THE VEHICLE BEGAN ROLLING BACKWARDS TOWARD TRAFFIC LINED UP BEHIND ME. I THEN REAPPLIED THE BRAKE, PUT THE CAR IN PARK, AND AGAIN SHUT THE CAR OFF. DUE TO CONSTRUCTION IN THE AREA, THERE WAS NO WHERE TO PULL THE CAR OVER TO, SO I WAS STRANDED BLOCKING TRAFFIC.

I WAS LEAVING A STORE ON HULL ST. AND MY CAR WAS AT ABOUT 40 MPH AND ALL OF A SUDDEN STOPPED MOVING AND I FELT THAT IT WAS SOMETHING BAD SO I CUT THE CAR OFF AND RESTARTED MY CAR AND IT STARTED UP NICELY ONCE I SWITCHED GEARS FROM PARK TO REVERSE THE CAR DIDN'T MOVE. SO I WENT TO PUT CAR INTO PARK AND THERE WAS A REALLY LOUD NOISE WHICH SCARED ME CRAZY. I CUT THE CAR BACK OFF AND IT BEGAN TO ROLL BACKWARDS IN THE PARK GEAR SO I HAD TO PUT THE CAR EMERGENCY BREAK ON TO KEEP IN PLACE. MONDAY MORNING WHICH I'D TODAY I GET MY CAR TOWED TO AAMCO AND THEY DIAGNOSTIC MY CAR AS A SHAFT FAILURE WHICH HAD BROKEN WHICH CAUSED THE CAR TO MAKE THE LOUD NOISE WHEN PLACED IN THE PARK GEAR AND THE CAR DOESN'T REALIZE WHICH GEAR IT'S IN BECAUSE IT IS BROKEN INSIDE THE TRANSMISSION
AUTO EXPERIENCED "STICKY ACCELERATOR"/"SUDDEN ACCELERATION" PROBLEM ESPECIALLY WHEN ENGINE COLD. NECESSARY TO APPLY EXCESS PRESSURE ON ACCELERATOR TO GET CAR ROLLING FROM STATIONARY. IN ONE INCIDENT, CAR SUDDENLY ACCELERATED PUSHING THE WHEEL OVER A PARKING SPACE WHEEL STOP AND INTO A FENCE POST CAUSING MODERATE DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE. LOCAL SAN JOSE, CA HONDA DEALERSHIP KEPT THE CAR FOR TWO DAYS AND CLAIMED IT COULD NOT REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM.
AIRBAG SRS LIGHT STAYS ON ALL THE TIME. SOME 2005 HONDA ACCORDS WERE COVERED IN THE HONDA RECALL Q31, BUT MY VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. MY PROBLEM IS EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE Q31 RECALL, BUT HONDA AMERICA REFUSES TO PAY FOR THE REPAIR. SINCE THIS IS A SAFETY ITEM, IT SHOULD BE REPORTED AS TO THE NHTSA.
I RECENTLY RECEIVED AN AIRBAG NOTICE TO HAVE THE PASSENGER AIR BAG REPLACE AT THE DEALER. I PROMPTLY DELIVERED MY VEHICLE TO THE DEALER TEXAS HONDA OF AUSTIN, TX. AFTER THE AIR BAG WAS REPLACED AND THEY UPDATED THE COMPUTER, I AM NOW GETTING AN SRS WARNING LIGHT WHICH IS INTERMITTING. AND ACCORDING TO MY MANUAL TAKE IT TO YOUR DEALER. WHEN I REPORTED IT TO THE DEALER THEY ADVISED THAT THE TWO HAD NO RELEVANCE. THAT I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THE REPAIRS AND THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. ACCORDING TO HONDA'S SITE THE SEAT WIRING HARNESS SHOULD HAVE BEEN REPLACED TO AVOID THIS.
TAKATA RECALL LIGHT ON DASHBOARD
HAVE NOTED ON A FEW OCCASIONS THAT THE BRAKE BOOSTER IS NOT ACTIVATED WHEN A CAR HAS BEEN SITTING OVERNIGHT OR FOR EXTENDED DURATION OF TIME. WHAT TYPICALLY HAPPENS IS THAT I START THE VEHICLE AND SHIFT IT INTO GEAR AND PROCEED. HOWEVER, IF I HAVE TO BRAKE WITHIN 1-2 MINUTES OF STARTING THE CAR, THE BRAKE BOOSTER APPEARS TO NOT BE WORKING AND I AM LEFT USING MANUAL BRAKES ESSENTIALLY SINCE THE VACUUM BOOST IS NOT WORKING. ONCE THE CAR HAS BEEN RUNNING FOR A FEW MINUTES, THE BRAKE BOOSTER STARTS WORKING NORMALLY. BECAUSE OF THIS INTERMITTENT BEHAVIOR, I HAVE ALMOST CRASHED INTO THINGS WHILE BACKING UP OR DRIVING FORWARD SINCE THE POWER BRAKES WERE ESSENTIALLY NOT WORKING IN THOSE SCENARIOS. I HAVE CHECKED THE BRAKE BOOSTER SYSTEM AND EVERYTHING APPEARS TO BE NORMAL. BRAKE PEDAL DOES NOT SINK DURING NORMAL OPERATION, NOR DOES THERE APPEAR TO BE A LEAK IN THE BRAKE SYSTEM WHEN I PRIME/PUMP THE BRAKE WHILE THE CAR IS TURNED OFF. AFTER INVESTIGATING THE ISSUE, I HAVE FOUND A TEMPORARY SOLUTION IS TO START THE CAR AND PUMP THE BRAKES FIRST BEFORE GOING. THE BRAKES WILL LOSE THE VACUUM BOOST IN THE INITIAL 2-3 PUMPS AND THEN AFTER A FEW MORE PUMPS WILL GET THE NORMAL VACUUM ASSIST BACK. I HAVE GONE TO MY LOCAL HONDA DEALERSHIP AND ASKED THEM IF THERE ARE ANY TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETINS ASSOCIATED WITH THE ISSUE AND THEY HAVE TOLD ME THAT THERE ARE NONE. I KNOW THAT BECAUSE OF THE HONDA INTEGRATED MOTOR ASSIST IN THEIR HYBRID VEHICLES, THERE IS AN EXTRA VACUUM SWITCH MODULE THAT CONTROLS THE BRAKE BOOSTER SO THAT IT CAN TURN THE ENGINE BACK ON DURING IDLE-STOP TO RESTORE BRAKE BOOSTING. I SUSPECT THAT THERE IS AN ISSUE ASSOCIATED WITH THAT 3-WAY JOINT THAT IS CAUSING INITIAL LOSS OF VACUUM. ONLINE FORUMS HAVE INDICATED POTENTIAL PREMATURE FAILURE IN THE BRAKE VACUUM HOSES. THE SRS LIGHT CAME ON WITHOUT AN ACCIDENT. I HAD THE FAULT CODE READ BEFORE BRINGING THE CAR TO HONDA. THE FAULT CODE WAS A BAD SENSOR ONLY. HONDA REPLACED THE SENSOR AND THE SRS CONTROL UNIT AS WELL. WITH LOW MILEAGE ON THE CAR I CALLED HONDA MOTORS CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY LOOKED INTO THE ISSUE AND DETERMINED THE REPAIRS WERE NEEDED AND THEY COULD NOT HELP IN ANY WAY. REPAIRS COST $750.01
Since I have owned this vehicle (bought used with 68,000 miles) it has had an issue that over 10 mechanics have not yet solved. It has slowly escalated to the point it is now unable to be driven at 250,000 miles. It is an idle issue, the car started revving up to around 3,000 rpm’s (on hot days it seemed but it also started to happen in the winter ) whenever I would put the car into park after driving it a small amount of time. The safety mechanism would kick in on the vehicle making it impossible to put back into gear and I would be forced to shut the car off and let it rest for around 30 minutes before it would start without immediately revving up to the red line again. I’ve replaced everything that every mechanic has told me that it could be. Even tried to replace almost everything all at once. Over time this issue began to get extremely worse and the vehicle would start to accelerate on its own to the point I almost crashed it three different times because I would be unable to slow the vehicle down coming to a stop sign and I’d have to throw the e brake on while pressing the main brake system. Afterwards I’d have to quickly find a parking spot and shut the car off due to the damage I felt like the engine was taking. Then it seemed like possibly an electrical issue because the power would drain overnight and the car wouldn’t start without a jump even after replacing the starter, alternator, battery, etc. I’ll end by saying now when I can get the car started, the last time that I drove it, it had the same issue of accelerating on its own and the rpm’s increasing to around 2,500 or 3,000 or even more at times and felt as if the automatic transmission was missing or slipping gears and the car would almost stall out and shake violently as if you were driving a manual transmission and it was the moment right before you killed the engine. The last time I drove it I had to pull over at a gas station and call someone to come pick me up and pull the car home.

MAY 4, 2015, 2005 HONDA ACCORD V6 STALLED AND ALL SYSTEMS NON-FUNCTIONAL WHILE DRIVING. ACCORD REAR-ENDED A CAR AT REST AT A STOP SIGN. IN NOVEMBER 2011, THE TRANSMISSION GAVE OUT ON FREEWAY. VEHICLE STAYED ON AND I WAS ABLE TO QUICKLY COAST OFF THE FREEWAY, BUT DRIVE TRAIN WAS OUT AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED (105K MILES). THIS TRANSMISSION FAILURE SEEMS TO BE CONSISTENT WITH OTHER NHTSA REPORTS. IN APRIL, 2011 THE ACCORD BEGAN STALLING AND ALL SYSTEMS FAILED WHILE THE CAR WAS IN DRIVE AND MOVING. IN MAY, 2012 THE DCH HONDA OF TEMECULA FOUND FAULTY THROTTLE SENSOR AND REPLACED THE PART. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT EXPERIENCED THIS PROBLEM AGAIN UNTIL THIS FAILURE AND ACCIDENT. I SEE SEVERAL REPORTS OF ACCORDS STALLING ON THIS SITE. IS THIS A KNOWN PROBLEM? MY DAUGHTER WAS FORTUNATE THIS DIDN'T HAPPEN WHEN APPROACHING ONCOMING TRAFFIC OR THE FREEWAY. I WAS CALLING TO MAKE APPOINTMENT FOR REPLACE AIRBAG IN 2 OF HONDA DEALER ( HONDA OF DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES & HONDA WORLD ORANGE COUNTY)ON EARLY APRIL 2015. I GAVE MY CAR INFORMATION.
