WHEN I WENT TO GO TURN ON MY CAR THE RADIO WENT DARK. I HAVE DONE SOME ONLINE RESEARCH AND APPARENTLY THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM FOR MODEL YEARS 2000,2001,2003,2004,2006,2007, AND 2008. I ALSO HAVE ISSUES WITH THE INTERIOR CEILING LIGHT. IT KEEPS BURNING OUT. I HAVE ALSO EXPERIENCED MY POWER WINDOWS GO DOWN ON ITS OWN AFTER I LOCKED THE VEHICLE BY PRESSING THE REMOTE BUTTON. OCCASIONAL, WHEN I PUT MY KEY IN THE IGNITION AND IM ABOUT TO TURN ON THE CAR I HEAR A BUZZING SOUND BE FORE IT OFFICIALLY STARTS. *TR

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN- I GOT A LETTER IN THE MAIL FOR A RECALL FOR MY 2007 HONDA ACCORD REGARDING MY DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG. I TRIED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT AND THEY SAID THEY CAN FIT ME IN UNTIL NOVEMBER 15TH. THIS IS HONDA'S FAULT, SO WHY CAN'T THEY FIT ME IN SOONER. WHILE AT 30 MPH...TRIED TO STOP AT TL, APPLIED BRAKES EVEN WITH 3-4 CAR DISTANCE FROM CAR IN FRONT OF ME. CAR DIDN'T STOP OR REDUCE THE SPEED. APPLIED BRAKES AGAIN?CAR EXHILARATED TO HIGHER SEED. I HAVE A RED 2007 HONDA ACCORD THAT I'VE ONLY HAD FOR A FEW YEARS AND THE PAINT HAS PEELED ALONG WITH ITS CLEAR COAT MAKING IT LOOK RUSTY ON THE HOOD AND TRUNK OF THE CAR. I'VE BEEN TOLD IT'S DUE TO THE QUALITY OF PRIMER AND PAINT THAT HONDA USES. I WANTED TO KNOW IF THERE IS SOMETHING THAT CAN BE DONE FIX THIS ISSUE.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2007 HONDA ACCORD. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH, THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WAS STRUCK BY ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE SPUN AROUND AND CRASHED INTO A FENCE. WHILE I WAS DRIVING 40-45 MPH I WAS INVOLVED IN A CAR ACCIDENT WHICH CAUSED MY AIRBAG TO DEPLOY. I SUFFERED SEVERE BURNS ON BOTH OF MY HANDS CAUSED BY A POWDERY SUBSTANCE EMITTED FROM THE AIRBAG. *TR

THERE WERE NO INJURIES. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD A RUBBING NOISE COMING FROM THE VEHICLE. THERE WERE NO INDICATORS ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THEY WOULD SEND A REPRESENTATIVE TO THE DEALER TO INSPECT THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OPERATING NORMALLY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 16,815.
ENGINE MOUNTS ARE CRACKED. WHEN CHECKING THE INTERNET THERE ARE A HIGH NUMBER OF INCIDENTS. THIS HAS TO BE A SAFETY ISSUE AND SHOULD BE A RECALL TO HAVE THE CRACKED MOUNTS FIXED ! *TR
MY 2007 HONDA ACCORD HAS A STARTING PROBLEM. INITIAL DIAGNOSIS TEST LEADS TO FAULTY IGNITION SWITCH AS THE CAUSE. THE CAR DOES NOT START ON THE FIRST ATTEMPT. IT STARTS AFTER TURNING THE KEY FOR MORE THAN 5 TIMES. *JS
MY 2007 HONDA ACCORD HAD STARTING PROBLEM, AND THE ENGINE STALLED WHEN I BACKED UP SOMETIMES,ESPECIALLY WHEN IN HOT CONDITION. IT WILL EVENTUALLY STARTED AFTER 3 OR 4 TIME WHEN I TRIED TO STARTED. THE MECHANIC DIDN'T FIND ANY PROBLEM WITH STARTER OR BATTERY, BUT I CHANGE IT ANYWAY FOR MY SAFETY; THE PROBLEM STILL THERE. AFTER RESEARCHED ON THE INTERNET, I CHANGED THE IGNITION WITCH; THE PROBLEM SOLVED. HONDA SHOULD LOOK INTO THIS PROBLEM TO PREVENT ACCIDENTS OR DEATHS. MY CAR ENGINE SHUT OFF WHEN I BACKED UP A FEW TIMES NOT IN FORWARD. HOPEFULLY IT WILL NOT HAPPEN IN FORWARD CONDITION TO ANY DRIVERS. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE MOTOR MOUNTS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 89,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 91,300.
WE WERE DRIVING NORTH ON INTERSTATE 495 IN VIRGINIA NEAR MILE MARKER 45.2 . WE HIT A ROCK IN THE ROAD PUNCTURING TIRE. THE AIR BAGS EXPLODED OUT OF THEIR COMPARTMENTS ON PASSENGER SIDE TEARING UP SEAT OFF THE CAR AND CEILING COMPARTMENT OF THE CAR. THE EXPLOSION WAS SO LOUD IT RENDERED ME DEAF, BUT MY HEARING IS CLEARED UP SOME NOW. *TR

2007 HONDA ACCORD. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO VSA AND ENGINE LIGHTS CAME ON THEN VEHICLE LOST POWER. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED THE SPEED WENT DOWN FROM 65 MPH TO 20 MPH. HE TRIED TO STEP ON THE ACCELERATOR TO REGAIN SPEED, BUT TO NO AVAIL. SO, HE DECIDED TO TURN OFF A RAMP TO PREVENT ANY ACCIDENT. A WEEK PRIOR, HIS WIFE EXPERIENCED THE SAME PROBLEM. HIS WIFE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER, WHERE THEY STATED THE COMPUTER NEEDED TO BE UPDATED, AS THEY WERE UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. *JB
AFTER A WEEK LONG PERIOD OF HEAVY RAIN, THREE OUT OF FOUR POWER WINDOW SWITCHES ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR FAILED. IT SEEMS LIKE THE 'MASTER POWER WINDOW SWITCH' MAY HAVE SHORTED OUT. ALL WINDOWS EXCEPT THE DRIVER'S WINDOW FAIL TO OPEN NOW FROM ANY WINDOW SWITCH IN THE ENTIRE CAR. AFTER SEARCHING ONLINE, PEOPLE REPORT THIS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM IN THIS GENERATION OF ACCORDS (2003-2007). HONDA HAS ALSO RECALLED THE HONDA FIT 2007-2008 FOR THIS SAME REASON/PART. TAKATA RECALL. OWNED A 2007 HONDA ACCORD IN 2013 IN SOUTH FLORIDA. IN 2014, I GOT INTO A LOW SPEED, IN CITY, MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT WHERE TIRES LOCKED UP AND SLID INTO VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME, THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED AND EXPLODED SPRAYING DEBRIS EVERYWHERE AND LEAVING A GASH ON MY FACE. VEHICLE WAS REPORTED AS TOTALED BY INSURANCE. I STARTING SUFFERING FROM MIGRAINES SHORTLY AFTER AND WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A PITUITARY TUMOR A COUPLE OF YEARS LATER. *BF CONSUMER STATED THEY LATER REPAIRED AND RESOLD THE VEHICLE AFTER TELLING ME IT WAS A TOTAL LOSS. THIS IS THE SECOND SAME SIZE COOPER TIRE THAT HAS FAILED THE SAME WAY IN THE SAME TIME FRAME. THE TIRE WAS PROPERLY INFLATED AND BEGAN TO LOSE AIR EVEN THOUGH IT HAD NO PUNCTURES IN THE TIRE. THE TIRE STARTED TO RUN LOW AND THE SIDEWALL CRACKED AND DID NOT DEFLATE BUT RAN WITH LOW PRESSURE. I NOTICED THAT THE TIRE WAS LOW BUT NOT DEFLATED. UPON EXAMINATION OF THE TIRE THE SAME CRACKS APPEARS ON THE SIDE WALL AND NOTHING WAS HIT THAT HAD ABRADED THE TIRE. BOTH TIRES WERE SIZE 215/50 R17 CS4 V XL BW 95 TL. BOTH TIRES LASTED APPROX 15-17K MILES BEFORE FAILING AND APPROX 2 YEARS IN EACH CASE. ONE WAS REPLACED BY THE TIRE DEALER ONLY BECAUSE I HAD BOUGHT THE TIRE PROTECTION POLICY AND THE OTHER WAS NO LONGER COVERED AS REPLACEMENTS ARE NO LONGER COVERED AFTER 12K OR 1 YR. BOTH TIRES COULD NOT BE REPAIRED AS THE SIDEWALL HAS FAILED. *TR
JUST BOUGHT MY ACCORD IN SEPTEMBER 2013 WITH 105K MILES ON IT.WHEN I TEST DROVE THE VEHICLE I NOTICED THAT THE BRAKES WERE STICKY.WHEN I CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP THEN WHEN I ACCELERATED IT TOOK A SECOND OR TWO FOR THE BRAKES TO RELEASE THEN ACCELERATE AGAIN. THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY HAD JUST REPLACED THE BRAKES AND THAT'S THE REASON WHY THAT IT WAS DOING THAT.SO WITHIN A MONTH LATER I BROUGHT IT IN CAUSE THE PROBLEM NEVER WENT AWAY. THEY FIXED THE PROBLEM AND JUST PUT BRAKE FLUID AND BLEED THE BRAKES.THE CAR RAN A LITTLE BETTER AND THE BRAKES WEREN'T STICKING AS MUCH.TWO MONTHS LATER I HAD TO REPLACE THE BRAKE PADS.BRAKES WERE STILL STICKY.3 MONTHS LATER I HAD TO REPLACE THEM AGAIN.THEN I NOTICED THAT WHEN I WOULD DUE OVER 60 MPH THAT WHEN I WOULD PRESS THE BRAKES THAT THE CAR WOULD SHAKE AND PULL TO THE LEFT.I THEN GOT A ALIMENT AND STILL THE CAR WOULD SHAKE WHEN I WOULD ACCELERATE AND BRAKE.I THEN REPLACED ALL FOUR ROTORS.PROBLEM STOPPED.TWO MONTHS LATER THE CARS LEFT LOWER CONTROL ARM WAS GIVING OUT.HAD TO REPLACE BOTH RIGHT AND LEFT SIDE.ONE MONTH LATER I HEAR THE BRAKES MAKING A LOUD GRINDING NOISE.I HAD TO REPLACE THE PADS AGAIN.I FIND THAT EVERY 2 TO 3 MONTHS I HAVE TO REPLACE MY BRAKES. ALL THIS MONEY BEING SPENT IS NOT FAIR.HONDA NEEDS TO RECALL THESE BRAKE SYSTEMS.MY AIRBAG LIGHT AND ENGINE LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON AND OFF.ALSO MY STEREO LIGHT GOES OFF AND ON .HELP ME PLEASE. *TR
TOOK CARE IN FOR MAINTENANCE. WAS TOLD COMPLIANCE BUSHING IS WEARING AND SHOULD BE REPLACED SOON. I'M FINDING THIS ITEM COST ABOUT $20. AND SEVERAL HUNDREDS TO FIX DUE TO LABOR. LOOKING AT ALL THE BLOGS, THIS PARTICULAR ITEM HAS UPSET MANY BECAUSE OF THE DESIGN AND LOOKS TO BE A CASH COW FOR THE DEALERSHIPS. IF I WEE TO PURCHASE ALL BUSHINGS FOR THE LOWER CONTROL ARM (3 EACH SIDE) THE TOTAL IN PARTS WOULD BE $89. BUT TO HAVE THE DEALERSHIP TO REPLACE JUST ONE BUSING WOULD BE OVER $500. THE LOWER CONTROL ARM HAS TO BE REMOVED TO REPLACE JUST THE ONE BUSHING. TO PURCHASE THE LOWER CONTROL ARM WHICH INCLUDES THE 3 BUSHINGS, IS JUST OVER $300 PER SIDE. PLUS READING ALL THE BLOGS, THE COMPLIANCE BUSHING HAS A TENDENCY TO WEAR QUICKLY. HONDA SHOULD FIX AT NO COST TO THE OWNER. *TR

THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR ALLOWS MOISTURE/WATER TO ENTER THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT WHEN IT RAINS/SNOWS AND DURING CAR WASHES. *TR
[XXX] OF APOLLO CASUALTY COMPANY INSURANCE AS SUBROGEE OF [XXX], OUR INSURED SAYS WE WERE DRIVING WEST ON STEARNS ROAD WHEN WE NOTICED A PLASTIC/RUBBER SMELL COMING FROM THE DASHBOARD. ABOUT 30 SECONDS LATER WE NOTICED SMOKE COMING FROM THE PASSENGER SIDE DASH. AT WHICH POINT WE PULLED OVER AND EXITED THE VEHICLE. I WALKED OVER TO THE PASSENGER SIDE TO CHECK ON THE SMOKE AND IMMEDIATELY NOTICED FLAMES FROM UP UNDER THE DASH. WE BACKED AWAY FROM THE VEHICLE AND WITHIN TWO MINUTES THE CAR WAS ENGULFED IN FLAMES. MY V6 HONDA ACCORD HAD PROBLEMS REVERSING UP A SLOPE/INCLINE FROM THE DAY I BOUGHT IT A LITTLE OVER TWO YEARS AGO. INITIALLY IT WAS JUST A PROBLEM ON STEEP SLOPES. IT GOT WORSE OVER TIME. IT FINALLY GOT TO THE POINT WHERE I COULDN'T PUSH ON THE GAS AT ALL WHEN IT WAS IN REVERSE OR THE TRANSMISSION WOULD LOCK UP AND THE CAR WOULDN'T REVERSE AT ALL. I CALLED HONDA AND INQUIRED ABOUT THE PROBLEM BUT WAS TOLD THERE WERE NO ISSUES REPORTED IN REGARDS TO THE TRANSMISSION ON MY MODEL YEAR. I HAD MY VEHICLE SERVICED AT HONDA OF SPRING DEALERSHIP IN TEXAS. THEY DID A POWER STEERING FLUSH. AFTER THEY WERE DONE, THEY TOLD ME MY HIGH PRESSURE POWER STEERING HOSE WAS LEAKING AND HAD TO BE REPLACED. IT WAS NOT LEAKING BEFORE I HAD THE VEHICLE SERVICED. THEY WANTED OVER $600 TO REPLACE THE HOSE. I BELIEVE THE HOSE WAS DEFECTIVE AND THE FLUSH FINISHED IT OFF. THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THE HOSE WAS NOT RECALLED FOR MY VEHICLE VIN NUMBER. REPLACED THE OXYGEN SENSOR AND THE CODE DISAPPEARED. AT ABOUT 96,000 MILES THE SAME ERROR CODE CAME ON. DID SOME RESEARCH AND FOUND THAT THIS WAS COMMON AMONGST THIS MODEL ACCORD AND ENGINE V6. AFTER ABOUT 5,000 MILES OF DRIVING ON THIS CODE WITH A NEW OXYGEN SENSOR, THE CEL(CHECK ENGINE LIGHT) FLASHED. I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY IN ABOUT 70 DEGREE WEATHER AND TRAVELING AT 65 MPH. AFTER PULLING OVER TO CHECK THE CAR, THE SPARK PLUG AND COIL PACK HAD BLOWN COMPLETELY OUT OF CYLINDER NUMBER 5..(ANOTHER COMMON ISSUE FOR 2007 HONDA ACCORD V6). HAPPENED FOR A FEW MINUTES AND THEN EVERYTHING WENT SMOOTH. I TOOK THE CAR BACK TO DEALERSHIP AND THEY CLAIM THE CODE P0685 WAS FOUND AND THERE WAS A SOFTWARE UPDATE FOR THE PCM AND THEY APPLIED THAT UPDATE. I ASKED WHY WAS THERE NO INTIMATION ABOUT IT AND THE RESPONSE WAS THAT IT WAS NOT CONSIDERED AS ONE OF THE CRITICAL UPDATES. WITH THE EXPERIENCE I HAD, THE WAY THINGS WERE HAPPENING IN THAT 2-3 MINUTES OF ELECTRIC SYSTEM DANCE, ANYTHING COULD HAVE GONE WRONG WITH THE CAR. THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL NOTICE SENT FOR THIS UPDATE.
