DRIVING 10MPH AND JUST MADE A LEFT HAND TURN WHEN THE DRIVER SIDE, SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAG DEPLOYED. THE BAG HIT THE OPERATOR IN THE HEAD /NECK AREA CAUSING PAIN TO HIS NECK. NO ACCIDENT OCCURRED OR NO OBSTRUCTIONS IN THE ROAD WHERE HIT TO CAUSE DEPLOYMENT. *TR
AS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AROUND 50MPH, I APPLIED BRAKES AND IT ALMOST HAD NO STOPPING POWER. LATER THAT DAY I CHECKED IT WITH THE DEALER AND GOT BRAKE PADS AND BRAKE ROTORS CHANGED. NOT EVEN AFTER TWO MONTHS THE BRAKING POWER HAS FADED. PLEASE GET THIS ISSUE FIXED AS IT IS CAUSING EXCESSIVE BRAKING PROBLEMS WHICH CAN CAUSE AN ACCIDENT AND DAMAGES. *TR
WHEN I HAVE AN ADULT PASSENGER SITTING IN MY 07 ACCORD FRONT PASSENGER SEAT I OCCASIONALLY SEE THE PASSENGER AIRBAG OFF LIGHT LIT UP. THE PASSENGER IS ABOUT 95 POUNDS AND I BELIEVE IT SHOULD BE SUFFICIENT TO KEEP ENSURE AIRBAGS ARE KEPT ALIVE FOR AN GROWN UP ADULT. I AM VERY CONCERNED ABOUT THIS AND WORRIED THAT AIRBAG MAY FAIL TO DEPLOY. I REQUEST HONDA AND NHTSA TO CONSIDER THIS COMPLAINT SERIOUSLY AND INVESTIGATE ASAP BEFORE IT IS TOO SERIOUS. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2007 HONDA ACCORD. WHILE AT A YIELD SIGN, ANOTHER VEHICLE REAR ENDED THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED HEAD, NECK, AND SHOULDER INJURIES THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A TOWING LOT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 15V370000 AND 15V320000 (AIR BAGS). THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
I WAS DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE WITH THE FLOW OF TRAFFIC, APPROX 60 MPH, WHEN THERE WAS A SUDDEN EXPLOSION, AND SMOKE FILLED THE INSIDE OF MY HONDA ACCORD. I MAINTAINED DRIVING CONTROL, AND PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, AFTER GAINING MY COMPOSURE. THE PASSENGER SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAGS WERE COVERING MY ENTIRE FRONT AND REAR PASSENGER SIDE. THE HEADLINER WAS RIPPED, ALONG WITH THE PASSENGER FRONT SEAT. I REALIZED THAT THE AIRBAGS HAD DEPLOYED FOR NO APPARENT REASON. *TR
HAD VEHICLE SERVICED A DAY LATER I HEARD A CLICKING NOISE. THIS NOISE CONTINUED. I THOUGHT IT WAS A FUSE. THEN TWO DAYS LATER THE DRIVER WINDOW WILL RAISE AND LOWER BY THE MASTER CONTROL SWITCH. THE PASSENGER FRONT AND REAR WINDOWS WOULD NOT LOWER ONLY CLICK WHEN PUSHING THE MASTER CONTROL SWITCH/BUTTON. I TOOK VEHICLE TO HONDA THEY SAID IT WAS NOT UNDER WARRANTY BUT AFTER A DIAGNOSTIC FEE OF $59 IT WAS WORKING HOWEVER THE SWITCH ISN'T GROUNDED PROPERLY AND STILL MAKES THE CLICKING NOISE AND WON'T WORK WITH THE KEY TRYING TO LOWER THE WINDOWS. I THEN OBSERVED ONLINE THAT THERE WAS A RECALL FOR V6 MODEL OF 2007 ACCORDS. MINE IS A 4CYL. HONDA WANTS ABOUT $359 FOR THE REPAIR. THE REPAIR IS FOR THE MASTER CONTROL WINDOW SWITCH. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER SHIFTING FROM PARK TO REVERSE, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED INDEPENDENTLY WITHOUT ANY WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE WHO STATED THAT THEY WOULD CONTACT HIM AT A LATER DATE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 58,445. UPDATED 10/10/12*CN THE CONSUMER STATED THE MANUFACTURER FOUND NO FAILURES WITH THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THE UNINTENDED ACCELERATION WAS CAUSED BY THE DRIVER PLACING A FOOT ON THE BRAKE AND ACCELERATION AT THE SAME TIME. THE CONSUMER FOUD THIS TO BE FALSE, STATING THAT IT WOULD FEEL UNNATURAL TO DEPRESS THE BRAKE AND ACCELERATOR AT THE SAME. THE CONSUMER TESTED THIS THEORY AT HOME AFTER THE MEETING TOOK PLACE. I WAS PASSING A CAR ON THE EXPRESSWAY DOING 75 MPH WHEN THE ENGINE SENT TOO STRONG A CURRENT TO THE SPARK PLUG WHICH GRENADED IT. THIS SENT PIECES INTO THE ENGINE DESTROYING IT. THE ENGINE IS HONDA'S 3.0 VTEC V6. THE ENGINE HAD LESS THAN 50000 MILES ON IT WHEN IT HAPPENED. THE FIRST ENGINE BLEW THE SAME WAY WHEN THE MOTOR GRENADED THE SPARK PLUG AT 53000 MILES. HONDA REPLACED THE FIRST ENGINE BECAUSE IT WAS UNDER FACTORY WARRANTY. HONDA OF CASPER WYOMING WOULD NOT REPLACE THE SECOND MOTOR BECAUSE THE FACTORY WARRANTY WAS UP. THIS IS RIDICULOUS FOR THEM NOT TO STAND BY A MOTOR WHEN IT HAS LESS THAN 50000 MILES AND THE SAME PROBLEM THAT THE FIRST ENGINE AND MANY OTHER OWNERS HAVE EXPERIENCED. I WAS FORCED TO BUY A USED CAR SO I COULD GET TO WORK AND WAS NOT GIVEN ANY TRADE IN VALUE. I EVEN HAD TO PAY FOR THE TEAR DOWN ON THE BLOWN MOTOR . *TR
I WAS PASSING A CAR ON THE EXPRESSWAY DOING 75 MPH AND THE ENGINE SENT AN ERRANT SIGNAL TO THE SPARK PLUG CAUSING IT TO GRENADE . THIS SENT PIECES INTO THE ENGINE DESTROYING IT. THIS HAPPENED WITH ONLY 47000 MILES ON THE 3.0 VTEC V6 MOTOR. THE FIRST MOTOR BLEW THE EXACT SAME WAY. THE PREVIOUS YEAR I WAS STUCK IN A SNOW BANK SO I WAS PUTTING IT INTO DRIVE THEN REVERSE TO ROCK THE CAR OUT OF THE SNOW BANK AND THE ENGINE SENT AN ERRANT SIGNAL TO THE SPARK PLUG CAUSING IT TO GRENADE . THIS SENT PIECES INTO THE MOTOR DESTROYING IT. HONDA REPLACED THE FIRST MOTOR BECAUSE IT WAS STILL UNDER FACTORY WARRANTY BUT WOULDN'T REPLACE THE SECOND MOTOR BECAUSE IT WASN'T UNDER FACTORY WARRANTY EVEN THOUGH IT HAPPENED WITH LESS THAN 50,000 MILES ON THE MOTOR. I WAS FORCED TO PURCHASE A USED CAR SO I COULD GET TO WORK AND THE HONDA DEALERSHIP WOULDN'T GIVE ME ANYTHING FOR TRADE-IN FROM THEIR PIECE OF JUNK ACCORD. *TR
THE DRIVER SEAT TO THE 2007 HONDA ACCORD IS INCREDIBLY UNCOMFORTABLE. I BELIEVE IT CAUSES POOR POSTURE AND OCCUPATIONAL INJURIES WHEN I DRIVE THE CAR CONSISTENTLY ON MY DAILY COMMUTE. I COMMUTE A DAILY ROUND TRIP OF 1.5 HOURS. IN 2012 I NOTICED HOW UNCOMFORTABLE THE SEAT WAS BECOMING. I COULD NOT FIND A GOOD POSTURE, AND ULTIMATELY WAS DIAGNOSED WITH MYOFASCIAL TRIGGER POINTS WITH COMORBID SPINAL PAIN AS A RESULT OF DRIVING IN THE CAR. I AM NOT OVERWEIGHT, VERY SLIM ACTUALLY. I HAVE NO OTHER PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS. MY WIFE ALSO COMPLAINS THAT THE SEAT CAUSES HER BACK PAIN WHEN SHE USES IT TEMPORARILY. THE HEAD REST PROTRUDES AND PUSHES THE HEAD FORWARD INTO A CHIN-TO-CHEST POSITION. THE SIDES OF THE SEAT CUP THE SHOULDERS AND BACK, PUSHING THE SHOULDERS FORWARD AND PROMOTING A SLOUCH OR SIDEWAYS SITTING POSTURE. I BELIEVE THIS IS A DESIGN FLAW. *TR

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DRIVER'S SIDE SEAT RAIL WOULD NOT ALLOW THE SEAT TO LOCK INTO PLACE, CAUSING THE SEAT TO MOVE FREELY AS THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING OR APPLYING THE BRAKES. THE CONTACT WAS UNSURE AS TO WHAT CAUSED THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER WHO REPLACED THE SEAT RAIL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 32,725.

AFTER THE REPAIRS, THE VEHICLE EXHIBITED AN UNUSUAL WINING NOISE WHEN SHIFTED INTO FIRST GEAR. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR FURTHER INSPECTION. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT FURTHER REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 59,000 AND THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 62,000.

THE CONTACT WAS TRAVELING 45 MPH WHEN THE BRAKES WERE DEPRESSED AND THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED UNEXPECTEDLY, CRASHING INTO THE REAR OF ANOTHER VEHICLE TWICE. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE HAND. THE POLICE WERE CONTACTED AND A REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 40,000.
PAINT IS HORRIBLE, LOOKS MORE WHITE THAN THE ORIGINAL BLACK! *TR
ON JULY 7TH, 2012, I WAS DRIVING SOUTH ON ROUTE 113 NEAR MILFORD, DE WITH MY WIFE AND GOING THE SPEED LIMIT WHEN THE SIDE AIRBAGS IN OUR ACCORD SUDDENLY DEPLOYED FOR NO DISCERNIBLE REASON. WE DID NOT HIT ANYTHING, THE CONDITIONS WERE CLEAR AS WAS THE ROAD. THERE WERE NO OTHER VEHICLES IN CLOSE PROXIMITY TO US. IT WAS A FRIGHTENING EXPERIENCE THAT VERY WELL COULD HAVE RESULTED IN AN ACCIDENT, AND MY WIFE SUSTAINED ABRASIONS TO HER ARM. WE CONTACTED HONDA ABOUT THE ISSUE AND THEY HAD US BRING OUR VEHICLE TO A LOCAL BODY SHOP FOR AN INSPECTION (WE LIVED IN HOBOKEN, NJ AT THE TIME), AFTER WHICH THEY INFORMED US THAT A SENSOR UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE SHOWED SIGNS OF DISTRESS/BEING STRUCK, WHICH TRIGGERED THE DEPLOYMENT OF THE AIRBAGS. WE WERE SKEPTICAL THAT SOMETHING WE COULD NOT/DID NOT FEEL WOULD HAVE CAUSED THIS, BUT AFTER MUCH BACK AND FORTH WITH HONDA, IT WAS CLEAR THAT THE ONLY OPTION WE HAD TO GET OUR VEHICLE FUNCTIONING AGAIN WAS TO FILE AN INSURANCE CLAIM, WHICH WE DID, RESULTING IN OUT-OF-POCKET COSTS TO US IN THE FORM OF OUR DEDUCTIBLE AND OTHER RELATED EXPENSES. GIVEN THE NUMBER OF INSTANCES OF FAULTY AIRBAG DEPLOYMENTS, WITH HONDA BEING ONE OF THE USUAL SUSPECTS, WE WANTED TO FILE A COMPLAINT TO FORMALLY LOG YET ANOTHER INSTANCE. *TR
I HAVE ALREADY HAD TO REPLACE THE DRIVERS SIDE POWER WINDOW MOTOR. THEN IN JULY WHILE MY CAR WAS PARKED FOR A WEEK I CAME BACK FROM VACATION USED THE REMOTE TO UNLOCK THE CAR AND IT WOULD NOT WORK. I HAD TO MANUALLY UNLOCK THE DOOR. THEN REALIZED THAT THE ONLY POWER WINDOW THAT WORKS NOW IS ONLY THE DRIVERS SIDE. WHILE SEARCHING ON THE INTERNET FOR A REMEDY TO THIS ISSUE I FOUND MANY, MANY HONDA USERS THAT THIS HAS HAPPENED TO. I SEE THAT THE MASTER SWITCH HAS BEEN RECALLED BUT ONLY ON THE CRV. MAYBE, THIS SHOULD BE EXTENDED TO THE 2007 HONDA ACCORD ALSO. THIS IS AN EXTREME SAFETY ISSUE SINCE I AM UNABLE TO QUICKLY UNLOCK THE DOOR WITH THE REMOTE AND NONE OF THE OTHER WINDOWS WILL ROLL DOWN OR UNLOCK. THE REPLACEMENT ON THE POWER WINDOW MOTOR WAS OVER $300. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED. THANK YOU FOR LOOKING INTO THIS MATTER. *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WATER LEAKED INSIDE OF THE VEHICLE NEAR THE FRONT DRIVER'S SEAT BELT AREA AFTER A RAIN STORM. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHO REPLACED THE SEAT BELT, SUN ROOF FRAME AND HEADLINER. THE FAILURE RECURRED FOLLOWING THE NEXT HEAVY RAIN. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE DEFECT. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED FOR THE MOST RECENT FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 47,100.
ON A SIX HOUR VACATION TRIP, I BEGAN TO EXPERIENCE ACUTE MIDDLE BACK PAIN. I HAD BEGUN A NEW JOB ABOUT A YEAR PRIOR TO THIS TRIP, IN WHICH I MADE COMMUTES OF ABOUT 1 HR. AND 15 MINUTES ROUND-TRIP ON 4-5 DAYS A WEEK. I HAD NOTICED OVER THE COURSE OF MY NEW COMMUTE THAT MY CAR SEAT BECAME INCREASINGLY UNCOMFORTABLE. HOWEVER, WHILE ON THIS LONG SIX HOUR TRIP, ABOUT 3 HOURS INTO THE TRIP I BEGAN TO FEEL SEVERE BACK PAIN. I DON'T THINK WE HAD TAKEN A REST BREAK BY THIS POINT IN THE TRIP. IT BECAME UNCOMFORTABLE FOR ME TO REST MY BACK IN THE SEAT, AS MY MIDDLE VERTEBRAE FELT VERY SENSITIVE TO THE TOUCH. IT THEN BECAME MORE DIFFICULT TO SIT IN A CHAIR FOR MORE THAN A FEW MINUTES, AND OF COURSE THE DRIVING POSTURE BECAME INCREASINGLY PAINFUL AND UNCOMFORTABLE. AFTER SOME CHIROPRACTIC TREATMENT, THE INTENSITY OF THE PAIN HAS LESSENED, BUT THE DISCOMFORT HAS NEVER FULLY GONE AWAY. IN RECENT MONTHS A PHYSICIAN HAS TREATED MY BACK PAIN BY WITH A PRESCRIPTION STRENGTH TOPICAL NEURO/INFLAMMATION OINTMENT. THE PHYSICIAN HAS NOT YET GIVEN A SPECIFIC DIAGNOSIS TO MY CONDITION, BUT THE PAIN AND DISCOMFORT SEEMS TO BE LESSENING VERY GRADUALLY. I BELIEVE THE PAIN AND DISCOMFORT IS CAUSED BY THE PRONOUNCED "CUPPING" SHAPE OF MY CAR'S SEAT AND HEADREST, WHICH KEEPS ME FROM FINDING A COMFORTABLE POSTURE WHILE DRIVING, ESPECIALLY ON LONG-DISTANCE DRIVES. *TR

GETTING OFF INTERSTATE 95 (CT), SLOWING DOWN FOR STOP SIGN, BRAKES FAILED. SHIFTED TO PARK, PULLED EMERGENCY BRAKE, FOOT STILL ON BRAKES TO NO AVAIL. BUMP CAR IN FRONT OF ME BEFORE STOPPING. NO WARNING LIGHTS WHATSOEVER. CALLED 911 AND REPORTED ACCIDENT. DROVE CAR THE NEXT DAY TO NEAREST HONDA DEALER IN WESTPORT, CT. EXPLAINED ACCIDENT TO SERVICE TECHNICIAN. WAS INFORMED THAT THEY FOUND AIR ENTERING ABS MODULATOR. THEY INDICATED THAT IT WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE. HAD TO ORDER PART AND REPAIR WAS COMPLETED ON MAY 9TH. REQUESTED ORIGINAL SERVICE MANAGER (MAHWAH HONDA, NJ) OF PROBLEM AND ASKED TO SPEAK TO A HONDA REGIONAL REPRESENTATIVE TO DISCUSS AS TO WHY NO WARNING LIGHTS AND MAY BE CAUSED BY A DEFECTIVE MODULATOR. AS OF TODAY, HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY FEEDBACK AFTER NUMEROUS EMAILS AND TELEPHONE CALLS TO MAHWAH HONDA. SEEMS LIKE HONDA DO NOT WANT HEAR ABOUT THESE PROBLEMS. I REQUESTED AND RECEIVED THE MODULATOR THAT WAS ORIGINALLY IN THE CAR. SOMEONE WILL GET HURT IF HONDA DO NOT ACT ON THIS PROBLEM. HONDA FORUMS SHOWS MANY 2007 ACCORD BRAKE PROBLEMS. PLEASE HELP. BRAKES UNEVENLY HAVE WORN ON THE BACK, AND THERE APPEARS TO BE A CALIPER ISSUE AND THE BRAKE PADS DO NOT EVEN COVER THE ENTIRE SURFACE OF THE ROTOR. SUDDENLY THE CAR HAD A VERY DIFFICULT TIME STOPPING. WITH LESS THAN 28K MILES THE BRAKES SHOULD BE FINE. THE BACK BRAKES NEED TO BE REPLACED BUT THE FRONT BRAKES ARE FINE AND THE PADS COVER THE ENTIRE ROTOR. HONDA NEEDS TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS FAULTY DESIGN OF THE ROTORS. *JS
ON EXITING FROM A BELTWAY ON TO A RAMP AND APPLYING THE BRAKES TO SLOW THE CAR, IT ACCELERATED THE CAR AND AS I TOOK MY FOOT OFF THE ACCELERATOR, IT SPED UP FURTHER. I APPLIED THE BRAKES AND THE EMERGENCY BRAKE AND AFTER GOING VERY FAST OVER SEVERAL CURBS AND THROUGH AN INTERSECTION I WAS ABLE TO STOP THE CAR ALONG SIDE OF ANOTHER CURB. THIS DAMAGED THE RIGHT FENDER AND ACTIVATED THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. ALL OF THE TIRES WERE FLATTENED AND THE FRAME BENT, SO THE CAR COULD NOT BE REPAIRED. THE EVENT WAS QUITE FRIGHTENING AND FORTUNATELY THERE WERE NO CARS IN THE ROAD OR INTERSECTION AND THE CAR STOPPED BEFORE HITTING ANY STRUCTURE. I WAS ALONE AND NOT INJURED. I HAD THE CAR INSPECTED DURING THE PAST YEAR, SINCE IT HAD ACCELERATED A FEW TIMES AFTER I REMOVED MY FOOT FROM THE ACCELERATOR AND APPLIED THE BRAKES. *TR
AS I STARTED THE CAR IN THE MORNING, I FELT JERK WHILE IT CHANGED GEARS FROM 1ST TO 2ND AND SO ON. I THINK IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE SINCE IT IS UNEXPECTED AND CAR CAN FAIL ANYTIME AND MAY CAUSE ACCIDENT. I WAS IN THE DRIVER SEAT OF MY 2007 HONDA ACCORD WITH A PASSENGER IN THE RIGHT SIDE FRONT SEAT. I WAS TRAVELING IN THE LEFT LANE ON A HIGHWAY (476 SOUTHBOUND IN PENNSYLVANIA, APPROXIMATE MILE MARKER 21) AT 5:30 AM WITH NO CARS TO MY IMMEDIATE FRONT, SIDE OR REAR. WITH NO PROVOCATION, ALL OF THE RIGHT SIDE AIRBAGS WENT OFF, CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE RIGHT EAR OF MY PASSENGER AS WELL AS MYSELF. THERE WAS NO IMPACT WHATSOEVER, AS WELL AS NO POTHOLES OR ROAD DAMAGE AT ALL. THE INSURANCE ADJUSTER AS WELL AS THE COLLISION CENTER (VINART COLLISION, ASSOCIATED WITH LEHIGH VALLEY HONDA) BOTH FOUND NO IMPACT AND NO EXTERNAL REASON WHY THE AIRBAGS WOULD DEPLOY. IF THERE HAD BEEN ANOTHER VEHICLE ON THE ROAD NEAR ME, THIS COULD HAVE VERY EASILY CAUSED AN ACCIDENT AND POSSIBLY MORE SEVERE INJURIES. MY WIFE RECENTLY PURCHASED THE 2007 HONDA ACCORD SE FROM AN ELDERLY GENTLEMAN WHO HAS GENTLY USED THE VEHICLE (HAVING ONLY DRIVEN THE VEHICLE 53,000 KMS IN THE FOUR YEARS HE HAD IT FROM NEW). ALL OF THE MAINTENANCE RECEIPTS ARE WITH THE VEHICLE. IMAGINE MY SURPRISE WHEN I DROVE THE CAR AND DISCOVERED THE BRAKES TO BE NOT ACTING AS EXPECTED. UPON REVIEW, I NOTICED THAT THE REAR BRAKES WERE WORN DOWN SIGNIFICANTLY AND THE ROTORS WERE BADLY SCORED. I WAS NOT EXPECTING THIS ON THE REAR BRAKES OF SUCH A CAR. APPARENTLY THE BRAKES ARE A MAJOR CONCERN ON THIS VEHICLE, YET HONDA DOESN'T APPEAR TO BE WILLING TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE PROBLEM UNLESS THREATENED (AND EVEN THEN IT MAY NOT HAPPEN). THE REGULATORS OF TWO REAR WINDOWS MADE LOUD NOISE DURING WINDOW OPEN OPERATION ON SEPT. 22, 2011. ONE OF THE WINDOW WAS NOT ABLE TO CLOSE ALL THE WAY UP AFTER IT WAS OPEN. THESE TWO WINDOWS ONLY ARE USED LESS THAN A DOZEN TIMES. IT WAS RAINING THAT DAY. THE WINDSHIELD WAS SMOGGY WHILE I WAS DRIVING BECAUSE THE WINDOW WAS NOT ABLE TO CLOSE. I WAS PULLING INTO A PARKING SPACE IN FRONT OF MY APARTMENT BUILDING AND SLOWING DOWN TO PARK. MY FOOT WAS ON THE BRAKE SLOWING THE CAR DOWN TO A COMPLETE STOP WHEN SUDDENLY THE CAR ACCELERATED ON IT'S OWN AS IF POSSESSED. THE CAR JUMPED OVER THE CURB OF THE PARKING SPACE AND SMASHED INTO THE BRICK WALL OF MY APARTMENT BUILDING CAUSING EXTENSIVE DAMAGE TO THE FRONT OF MY CAR AND BREAKING THE BRICK WALL AND WINDOW OF THE BUILDING. HEAVY TRAFFIC, LARGE TRUCK IN FRONT OF ME, A LARGE MUFFLER IN THE MIDDLE OF MY LANE IN THE ROAD, WAS UNABLE TO CHANGE LANES DUE TO OTHER VEHICLES NEXT TO ME, AND WAS UNABLE TO DRIVE OFF ROAD - BARRIERS SET IN THE BERM NEXT TO ROAD. DID MY BEST IN STRADDLING THE MUFFLER, IN WHICH IT HAD SEEMED IT WOULD CLEAR THE BOTTOM OF MY CAR. I DIDN'T CLEAR IT, THE CURTAIN AIRBAG AND SEAT AIRBAG IMPLODED ON THE LEFT SIDE OF MY HEAD/EAR (VERY LOUD POP AND SOME SMOKE-TYPE SUBSTANCE IN AIR) ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE, ALONG WITH MY SEAT BELT RETRACTING VERY TIGHTLY. WAS ABLE TO MOVE THE AIRBAG SO THAT I COULD DRIVE THE REMAINING SHORT DISTANCE TO MY HOME.
THE THIRD GEAR IN HONDA ACCORD 2007 V6, MANUAL TRANSMISSION POPS OUT THAT CAN BE A POTENTIAL SAFETY HAZARD. UPON INVESTIGATION FOUND THAT THIS PROBLEM IS PRESENT IN ALL 6 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION HONDA CIVIC, ACCORD, AND ACURA FROM 2002 TO 2007. MY RESEARCH FOUND THAT THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN A PROBLEM WITH EVEN BRAND NEW HONDA. HONDA HAS ISSUED A TSB, BUT IT REFUSES TO FIX THE PROBLEM THE MOMENT WARRANTY HAS EXPIRED. WHEN I CALLED HONDA TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THE AC DYING AFTER 4YEARS THEY BACK PEDDLED STATING THAT IF I HAD TAKEN THE CAR IN TO HONDA, THEY WOULD HAVE WAIVED THE $100 FEE AND FIXED MY AC FREE OF CHARGE. THIS IS A SERIOUS ISSUE.

OF COURSE THEY TEASE ME AND TELL ME IF I DID PAY THE $60 FOR THE INSPECTION, THEN THEY COULD HAVE DONE SOMETHING ABOUT IT. MY BRAKES DID OCCUR DURING WARRANTY, AND THEY SAID NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH THE BRAKES AND THAT HAVING THEM WEAR OUT UNDER 20,000MILES IS NORMAL. THERE IS REALLY NO WAY TO KNOW WHEN THE A/C NEEDS TO BE REPLACED, BUT BECAUSE THEY PUT IN A SMALL RECEIVER DRIER, THE DRIER NEEDS TO BE REPLACED EVERY 15,000-25,000 MILES!! HONDA DOESN'T TELL YOU THIS, AND IF YOU DON'T DO THIS, YOUR CONDENSER WILL BE DESTROYED, AND YOU RUN THE RISK OF HAVING TO INSTALL A BRAND NEW A/C SYSTEM IN A CAR NOT EVEN 10YEARS OLD! CONVERTERS HAD TO BE REPLACED, THE CAUSE: TENSIONER LEAKING & MOUNTS BROKEN, SO I PAID FOR WORK, GOT MY CAR BACK BUT IT SEEMED LIKE THEY DIDN??T EVEN TOUCH MY CAR BECAUSE IT WAS DRIVING THE SAME WAY IT WAS THE DAY I TOOK IT TO BE FIXED, I HAD CALL THE DEALER TOLD THEM & THEY TOLD ME TO CONTINUE DRIVING & IT SHOULD GO BACK TO NORMAL AGAIN, IT WASN??T EVEN A WEEK LATER & NOT ONLY WAS CAR LOSING POWER WHILE DRIVING, I HEARD A LOUD POP NOISE COME FROM THE ENGINE & THEN CAR CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP, ALSO CAR WAS LEAKING OIL AT THE BOTTOM ALL OVER THE ROAD, HAD TO FIND AWAY TO GET IT OFF THE ROAD (TRAFFIC WAS BUSY), WHEN I GOT IT BACK TO THE DEALER AGAIN, THEY WERE GIVING ME THE RUN AROUND THEY HAD MY CAR FOR 4 MONTHS, & DIDN??T EVEN OFFER ME NO MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION, I HAD TO PAY FOR THE WORK THEY DONE $2000 (POWERTRAIN WARRANTY SHOULD OF COVERED) THE DAY I GOT IT BACK THE ENGINE WAS MAKING A TICKING NOISE, SO I CALL THEM TO SEE IF THAT??S NORMAL, THEY TOLD ME, YES, THAT IT JUST NEEDED TO BE BROKEN IN, THEY HAD REPLACE SHORT BLOCK AND THE SOME INTERNAL PARTS, SINCE THEY MADE THINK I COULD TRUST THEY'RE WORK THEY DID & GAVE ME THEIR WORD & DIDN??T WANT TO BE MONTHS WITH OUT A CAR I CONTINUE TO DRIVE IT, CONSTANTLY HAVING TO CHANGE OIL OR ADD MORE, NOW ITS BEEN A LITTLE BIT OVER A YEAR & THE TICKING NOISE NEVER WENT AWAY & THINGS KEPT GETTING WORSE, SO I FINALLY TOOK IT BACK IN TO DEALER THEY HAVE HAD IT FOR 2WEEKS NOW AND HAVEN'T DONE ANYTHING TO MY CAR, NOT EVEN THE RECALL THAT WAS ON MY CAR, THEY CALLED ME YESTERDAY TELLING ME THAT I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR A WHOLE NEW ENGINE DUE TO INTERNAL DAMAGE, DUE TO THE WORK THAT THEY HAD DONE IN THE PAST. *TR
