TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION WHERE THEY STATED THAT THE SEAT POSITION SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 39,926.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA ACCORD. WHILE DRIVING AT 65 MPH, THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO THE REAR OF ANOTHER VEHICLE AFTER FALLING ASLEEP. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE CHEST, WHICH REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED AND THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 138,000.
MY ISSUE RELATES TO THE POWER STEERING SYSTEM. THIS IS SOMETHING THAT DEVELOPED OVER TIME, WORSENED, I PAID BOATLOADS OF MONEY OVER TIME, ONLY TO HAVE IT REOCCUR OVER & OVER. I'VE ACTUALLY EXPERIENCED OTHER ISSUES BUT SINCE THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE, AND I'VE PAID GOOD MONEY TO HAVE REPAIRED ON A FEW OCCASIONS, ONLY TO BE BACK AT SQUARE ONE TODAY BARELY ABLE TO STEER THE CAR I'VE DECIDED TO STICK TO THIS ALONE. THIS ISSUE IS PROBABLY AS MUCH AN ISSUE WITH DEFECTIVE POWER STEERING AS IT IS WITH HONDA NOT ADDRESSING MY PROBLEM. IN OTHER WORDS SINCE FROM AROUND 50,000 THRU TODAY THIS HAS BEEN AN ONGOING PROBLEM WHICH THEY ONLY SUGGESTED TO DO ONE SERVICE, THE PROBLEM TEMP WOULD GO AWAY, ONLY TO REAPPEAR SHORTLY THEREAFTER DRAGGING ME BACK IN ALL OVER AGAIN. HIGH-PRESSURE HOSE @ $58,000, ALMOST IMMEDIATELY THEREAFTER POWER STEERING PUMP THAT I WAITED TILL 72,000 TO PAY FOR, ALMOST IMMEDIATELY THEREAFTER THE RACK & PINION WHICH I PUT OFF TILL 93,000 DUE TO THE COST AND HOW MUCH ALL OF THE OTHER PROBLEMS WERE COSTING ME. TODAY THE CAR HAS 104,000. I HAD ALL WORK DONE BY HONDA UP TO 85,000, BUT HAVE TRIED TO SAVE MONEY AND HAVE HAD SOMEONE ELSE DO THE RACK & PINION AND A FEW OTHER COSTLY ITEMS SINCE. I WENT BACK TO HONDA TODAY FOR THEIR OPINION - NET RESULT - ALL OF THE ABOVE ITEMS HAVE A BAD LEAK AND NEED TO BE DONE ALL OVER AGAIN - $2400 COST! THE OTHER THING I WANT TO ADD IS THE RECALL ON HONDA ACCORDS "HIGH PRESSURE POWER STEERING HOSE" - OF COURSE, THE RECALL WAS NOT UNTIL AFTER I'D ALREADY PAID FOR THE SERVICE - MY CAR'S HOSE WENT BAD & NEEDED TO BE REPLACED FOR THE SAME REASON AS WHICH ALL OF THE OTHER HONDAS WERE UNDER RECALL FOR (THE HEAT OF THE ENGINE CAUSED IT TO MELT). WHEN I HEARD ABOUT THE RECALL I ANTICIPATED RECEIVING A LETTER IN THE MAIL BUT NEVER DID - THE REASON WAS THAT THE RECALL FOR THE HOSE WAS FOR MANY OTHER MODEL YEARS NOT INCLUDING 2007 (MY CAR YEAR). *TR
SINCE MY PURCHASE, JUNE OF 2007 I HAVE HAD SEVERAL PROBLEMS WITH THE BRAKE SYSTEM AND AT THAT TIME HONDA HAD FULFILLED THE QUALITY EXPECTATIONS. HOWEVER; A LARGER ISSUE IS AT HAND REGARDING MY CAR TRANSMISSION CAUSING A LEAKING PROBLEM. UPON DISCOVERING THE LEAKAGE, I IMMEDIATELY TOOK MY CAR OUT FOR SERVICE. I HAVE NOW FOUND OUT THAT HONDA MISDIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM AND PERFORMED UNNECESSARY REPAIRS CHARGING ME A $300 DOLLARS OUT OF MY POCKET. WITHIN COUPLE OF WEEKS I WAS BACK AT THE DEALERSHIP TO RAISE MY CONCERNS ABOUT CONSISTENT LEAKAGE. AT THIS POINT THEY ADVISED ME THAT IT'S TRANSMISSION NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. AFTER 3 MONTHS OF ARGUING AND WRITING LETTERS TO THE HONDA CEO, FINALLY THE SAME CASE MANAGER WHO REFUSED TO HELP ME AT FIRST, OFFERED A 50% COVERAGE BY HONDA TO REPLACE ITS TRANSMISSION. THAT IS AROUND $2000 OUT OF MY PACKET FIXING THEIR DEFECTIVE TRANSMISSION. AT THIS POINT, I CAN'T DRIVE THIS CAR. THE SMOKE AND BURNING SMELL COMING FROM UNDER HOOD CAUSES A SAFETY CONCERN. I WORRY THAT IF I TAKE THIS CAR FOR A RIDE IT WOULD BE MY LAST TIME SEEING MY FAMILY. MY FAITH IN THIS COMPANY HAS BEEN RUINED FOREVER - BUT THANKS TO ONE PERSON - THEY DON'T CARE. PLEASE HELP!!! *TR

WHILE BRAKING THE STEERING WHEEL BEGAN TO SHAKE. TOOK TO THE DEALER WHO INSISTED A PEBBLE OR SOMETHING MUST HAVE GOTTEN BETWEEN SO THEY WONT REPLACE PADS FOR FREE. THIS PROBLEM HAS CONTINUED SINCE AND I KEEP PAYING THEIR PRICES WHICH IS REALLY AFFECTING MY LIFE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA ACCORD. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH, THE RPM READING ELEVATED AND THE VEHICLE DECELERATED INDEPENDENTLY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE WOULD RECUR INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS LATER TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO ADVISED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000.
I OWN 2007 HONDA ACCORD SE 2.4L, THIS CAR GIVES 10 TO 12MPG, IN CITY AND 15MPG ON HIGHWAY, AND I HAVE REPLACED IGNITION COILS, SPARK PLUGS AND FUEL INJECTORS BUT I HAVEN'T FOUND THE RESOLUTION YET, HONDA DOESN'T CARE AT ALL, VISITED DEALER AT LEAST TEN TIMES, BUT HE COULDN'T DO ANYTHING. *TR
I HAVE HAD AT LEAST VISITED PARAGON HONDA DEALER LOCATED IN WOODSIDE NEWYORK, FOR FRONT ROTORS AND PAD PROBLEM, CAR WANTS TO GO OUT OF CONTROL WHEN CROSSES 80MPH SPEED, AND THEIR REPLY WAS IT COMES IN EVERY ACCORD. *TR

I HAVE A 2007 HONDA ACCORD V6 INSIDE THE DOOR IT SAYS IT WAS MANUFACTURE ON AUG 2006 AND I BOUGHT IT THAT YEAR IN SEPTEMBER. WHAT IT HAPPENING IS THE TRANSMISSION IS DOING ALL THE SIGNS OF THE 2003-2006 RECALLS OF THE TRANSMISSION. THE HIGH PITCH NOISE AND IT WONT GO INTO 3RD GEAR. I ALSO SOMETIMES DROP RIGHT IN TO THE FIRST GEAR. I HAVE SINCE STOP DRIVING IT. I WAS ON THE FREEWAY IN THE CARPOOL LANE DURING COMMUTE TIME WITH MY CHILDREN WHEN IT DECIDED TO GO OUT OF GEAR. IT IS AT 90000 MILES RIGHT NOW AND I HAVE DONE ALL THE MAINTENANCE ON IT AND IT IS JUST WENT OUT OF COMMISSION. I CALLED HONDA AND THEY TOLD ME THAT THERE IS NO RECALLS FOR THE 2007. I THINK THEY NEED TO INVESTIGATE THIS TO SEE IF SOME OF THE 07 ACCORDS FALL UNDER THE RECALL LIST. I PAID 40000 FOR THIS VEHICLE AND STILL HAVE 6 PAYMENTS LEFT ON IT. PLEASED DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS. I AM SINGLE PARENT AND HAVE NO TRANSPORTATION. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA ACCORD COUPE EX. THE CONTACT STATED THAT ON AN INTERMITTENT BASIS THAT THE HORN WOULD NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY AND IT ALMOST CAUSED A CRASH SINCE THE HORN MALFUNCTIONED INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN INSPECTED BY A DEALER NOR HAD IT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 98,900. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
2007 ACCORD, DEALER SAID A/C COMPRESSOR WAS OVER CHARGED AND SENT METAL FRAGMENTS THROUGHOUT THE SYSTEM. COST $2,700 TO REPAIR. THE ONLY ONE WHO HAS SERVICED THIS VEHICLE IS WOLFCHASE HONDA IN BARTLETT, TN. *TR
WHEN DRIVING THE CAR, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT FLASHED ON, THEN OFF. WE TOOK IT TO THE MECHANIC WHO FOUND NOTHING WRONG. A WEEK LATER, THE LIGHT FLASHED ON AND OFF AGAIN. ANOTHER TRIP TO THE MECHANIC AND THEN TO THE DEALER REVEALED THAT A SPARK PLUG HAD COME LOOSE AND BROKE APART CAUSING THE CYLINDER HEAD, CYLINDER WALL AND PISTON TO BE DAMAGED. THE FIX WAS THAT THE CAR BASICALLY NEEDED A NEW ENGINE (REPLACED SHORT BLOCK, CYLINDER HEAD, ALL SPARK PLUGS AND ALL NECESSARY GASKETS AND SEALS). DUE TO THE NUMBER OF MILES ON THE CAR (69K AT THE TIME OF INCIDENT), IT WAS NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY. EVERYONE FROM THE MECHANIC TO THE DEALER SAID THEY HAD NEVER SEEN THIS HAPPEN BEFORE. HONDA DID END UP PAYING FOR A PERCENTAGE OF THE REPAIR, BUT OUR PORTION WAS STILL AROUND $2500. THIS WAS OUR FIRST HONDA, WE BOUGHT IT BASED ON REPUTATION AND BECAUSE WE PUT A LOT OF MILES ON CARS. WE NEVER EXPECTED TO HAVE TO REPLACE THE ENGINE AT THREE YEARS OLD.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA ACCORD WITH MICHELIN MXM4 TIRES, SIZE P215/50/17. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE TIRES BLEW OUT. THE CONTACT HAD TO REPLACE THE TIRES THREE TIMES DUE TO THE IDENTICAL FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND OFFERED TO PAY HALF OF THE REPAIR COST. THE TIRES WERE REPLACED. THE DOT NUMBER WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 27,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 30,000.
I HAVE A 2007 HONDA ACCORD EXL 2DR V-6 WITH AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. I BOUGHT IT USED IN AUGUST OF 2010 WITH 32,000 MILES. SHORTLY AFTER BUYING THE CAR, THE BRAKE PEDAL STARTED TO BECOME PROGRESSIVELY SOFTER. AFTER ABOUT 6 WEEKS, I TOOK THE CAR INTO HAVE THE BRAKES DONE, AND WAS TOLD BY THE TECHNICIAN THAT A TSB, #07-045 DATED MARCH 5, 2009, HAD BEEN PUBLISHED CONCERNING THE VSA MODULATOR ON THE VEHICLE, AND THAT I SHOULD CHECK WITH HONDA. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO KEN GARFF HONDA IN OREM, UTAH, AND SPOKE WITH THE SERVICE MANAGER, SHOWING HIM A COPY OF THE TSB. HE TOLD ME THERE WAS NOTHING COULD DO FOR ME AS IT WAS NOT A RECALL. I EXPLAINED I WAS HAVING TROUBLE WITH THE BRAKES ON THE VEHICLE, BUT HE WAS NOT WILLING TO LOOK AT THE CAR. THAT WAS A CONCERN TO ME AS THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS ALMOST TO THE FLOOR TO GET THE CAR STOPPED. THERE WAS ALSO A NOTICEABLE PULL TO THE RIGHT WHEN I BRAKED. I TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO A BRAKE REPAIR SHOP AND THEY CHANGED THE BRAKE FLUID, MAKING ME AWARE THERE WAS QUITE A BIT OF AIR IN THE BRAKE LINES. I HAD THE BRAKES BLED AGAIN THREE WEEKS AGO, AND AGAIN THE PEDAL IS ALMOST TO THE FLOORBOARD TO GET THE CAR STOPPED. I FEEL THIS IS A SIGNIFICANT SAFETY PROBLEM WITH THE VSA MODULATOR, AND THAT HONDA IS AWARE OF IT. THEY CONDUCTED A RECALL OF THE ELEMENT AND ODYSSEY FOR THE SAME PROBLEM, AND ARE REPLACING THE VSA MODULATORS IN CARS UNDER WARRANTY, YET ARE NOT WILLING TO STEP FORWARD AND MAKE SAFE A VEHICLE THAT HAS A POTENTIALLY CATASTROPHIC PROBLEM . *TR
I BEGAN HAVING TROUBLE WITH MY POWER STEERING AT LEAST A YEAR AGO, IF NOT MORE. UPON TAKING THE CAR TO MY REGULAR PLACE OF MAINTENANCE I WAS INFORMED THERE COULD BE AN ISSUE WITH THE POWER STEERING PUMP BUT, SINCE IT WAS EXPENSIVE TO REPLACE, IT WAS SUGGESTED I REPLACE THE FLUID FIRST, WHICH I DID. PROBLEMS PERSISTED AND AGAIN SUGGESTIONS FROM BOTH HONDA AND OTHER REPAIR/ MAINTENANCE FACILITIES WERE TO HAVE THE HOSE OR FLUID REPLACED. THE HOSE WAS NEVER REPLACED BY ME. UPON RECEIPT OF THE SAFETY RECALL ISSUED IN FEB 2013 FOR THE "POWER STEERING HOSE" I TOOK MY CAR IN TO LANDMARK HONDA IN ALEXANDRIA, VA TO HAVE THE RECALL PROCESSED ON MY CAR. I WAS INFORMED THE "POWER STEERING HOSE" WAS REPLACED, PER HONDA BUT WAS ALSO INFORMED THE ISSUE WITH MY CAR WAS NOT THE SPECIFIC HOSE HONDA IDENTIFIED IN THE RECALL???????? I WAS INFORMED MY "RESERVOIR HOSE" WAS LEAKING THEREFORE CAUSING MY POWER STEERING PUMP TO FAIL. UPON ARGUING WITH THE LOCAL HONDA DEALERSHIP I WAS INFORMED I WAS OUT OF LUCK TO HAVE THE ISSUE RESOLVED BY HONDA. I PLACED A CALL TO AMERICAN HONDA MOTOR CO., INC AND WAS INFORMED OF THE EXACT SAME THING BECAUSE "THE HOSE THAT HONDA IDENTIFIED AS FAULTY WAS IN FACT REPLACED, THAT WAS JUST NOT THE ISSUE WITH YOUR CAR." THIS LETTER IS BEING SENT BECAUSE, HOW DOES THE POWER STEERING FAIL ON A 6 YEAR OLD CAR AND HOW CAN HONDA TELL ME ALL OF THESE ISSUES ARE NOT RELATED TO THE SAME RECALL? I WANT THESE ISSUES ADDRESSED AS A SAFETY CONCERN AND AS AN EXPENSE CONCERN ON MY PART. ALL OF THESE ISSUES ARE 100% RELATED AND HAVE CAUSED MY POWER STEERING PUMP TO GO BAD BUT HONDA WILL TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR IT. HONDA IS RESPONSIBLE FOR FIXING THIS ON MY CAR AND I WANT THIS INFORMATION MADE PUBLIC SINCE CLEARLY THEY WANT TO IGNORE IT. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS 2007 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH IN WET PAVEMENT, SHE LOST CONTROL AND CRASHED INTO A GUARD RAIL. NONE OF THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. THE CONTACT WAS INJURED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED BUT HAD NOT BEEN DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND THEY SAID THAT THEY WOULD SEND A BROCHURE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 40,000.
MY 07' HONDA ACCORD LX SEDAN HAS 58,000 MILES ON IT AND I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE FRONT ROTORS AND BRAKE PADS IN APPROXIMATELY 15,000 MILE INTERVALS. UNDER BRAKING, THE VEHICLE SUFFERS FROM SHUDDER WHICH MAKES IT DIFFICULT TO STEER AND CONTROL. I HAVE APPROACHED HONDA DEALERSHIP AND THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE. SEVERAL OTHER PEOPLE ALSO COMPLAIN OF THIS AND I BELIEVE THAT HONDA SHOULD ISSUE A RECALL AND FIX THIS RECURRING AND EXPENSIVE PROBLEM IF THEY VALUE CONSUMER LOYALTY. *TR
WHEN TEMPERATURES ARE BELOW 20 DEGREES F MY AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT ON MY DASH IS ILLUMINATED. AFTER THE CAR WARMS UP THE LIGHT GOES OFF WHEN THE IGNITION SWITCH IS CYCLED. *LN
3/4 POWER WINDOWS FAILED TO WORK. BECAUSE I WAS OVER MY MILEAGE BY A LITTLE MY EXTRA WARRANTY THAT I PAID A LOT OF MONEY FOR WOULD NOT PAY TO FIX THIS. I ALSO HAD A PROBLEM WITH MY PEDAL SENSOR, WHICH MY MECHANIC SAID MANY HONDA'S HAVE. THE PEDAL SENSOR COST ME OVER $700 OUT OF POCKET AND THE POWER WINDOW SWITCH COST ME $218. I WONT BE WASTING MY TIME BUYING A HONDA ANYMORE. I KNOW THEY LAST A LONG PERIOD OF TIME AND THIS AND THAT. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE WORST. I AM GOING TO TRY TOYOTA NOW, HOPEFULLY THEY ARE BETTER. I KNOW TOYOTA HAS BEEN IN THE LIMELIGHT LATELY, BUT AT LEAST THEY CAME FORWARD NOT LIKE GM. *TR
FAILURE OF BRAKING SYSTEM -ABS BRAKES OF MY 2007 HONDA ACCORD HYBRID CAR. BRAKES HAVE FAILED TO STOP CAR WHEN I'VE GONE OVER A BUMP --THEY VIBRATE AND MAKE NOISE, BUT DO NOT STOP THE CAR. THIS HAS LED TO NEAR ACCIDENTS FOUR TIMES SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR NEW OVER THREE YEARS AGO. A SIMILAR PROBLEM HAS OCCURRED WHEN BRAKES ARE WET AND I'M TRYING TO STOP AT LOW SPEED. THE HONDA DEALER, HERB CHAMBERS, WESTBORO, MA. HAS DISMISSED THESE REPORTS AS "NORMAL" ABS BRAKING SYSTEM CHARACTERISTICS. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE -- THIS IS DEFINITELY A BRAKING FAILURE AND FLAW, AND POSES A HIGH RISK IN CERTAIN SITUATIONS. I HAVE RECENTLY READ OF SIMILAR COMPLAINTS ON THIS VEHICLE, AND FEEL I NEED TO CORROBORATE THIS PROBLEM. I REQUEST AN INVESTIGATION AND RECALL TO CORRECT THIS PROBLEM ON THE ACCORD HYBRID. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO ADVISED THAT HE WOULD REPLACE THE MASTER CYLINDER AT THE OWNERS EXPENSE. THERE WERE NO RECALLS FOR THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 78,000.
READ THIS THROUGH AND ACCEPT IT AS ACCURATE. I AM SANE, INTELLIGENT, A FORMER CPA. THE PROBLEM IS UNUSUAL, BUT I WAS THERE; YOU WEREN'T. 2007 HONDA ACCORD. WHEN STOPPED FOR A TRAFFIC SIGNAL, CAR BEGAN TO VIBRATE AND SHAKE VIOLENTLY TO A BOOMING BASE NOISE. THE LEVEL OF SOUND: LOUDER THAN STANDING BY THE SPEAKERS AT A ROCK CONCERT. THE VOLUME HURT MY EARS; IT WAS EASILY LOUD ENOUGH TO CAUSE HEARING DAMAGE FOR A PROLONGED EXPOSURE. I'VE WORKED IN A MACHINE SHOP, AND I KNOW LOUD. (I ASSUMED SOMEONE WITH A MEGA STEREO AND SUB-WOOFER PULLED UP ALONGSIDE ME. MY RADIO WAS OFF, AND I HAVE A STOCK SYSTEM, NOT CAPABLE OF THIS MAGNITUDE OF SOUND.) THE SOUND DECREASED SLIGHTLY AS I DROVE, AND THEN RESUMED ITS FORMER LEVEL. I PULLED INTO A GAS STATION, SHUT THE ENGINE OFF, AND LOOKED UNDER THE HOOD AND BODY. I SAW NOTHING. ON THE WAY HOME, I STOPPED BY A HONDA DEALER, AND THEY SAID THEY HAD NEVER HEARD OF SUCH A THING. THE SERVICE ADVISOR MENTIONED IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN THE ANC, OR ELECTRONIC NOISE CANCELLATION, WHICH IS USED TO PRODUCE OPPOSITE SOUND WAVES TO CANCEL OUT ENGINE AND ROAD NOISE, CREATING A QUIET CAB ENVIRONMENT. MY 2007 HONDA ACCORD HAS BRAKING PROBLEMS. I RECENTLY HAD TO REPLACE THE ALL OF THE BRAKES AND ROTORS DUE TO OVER HEATING. MY AIR CONDITIONING STOPPED WORKING IN JUNE OF 2010. WHEN TURNED ON, WARM AIR CAME OUT. WHEN I BROUGHT IT TO THE SHOP TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM, I WAS TOLD THAT THERE WAS A HOLE IN THE AIR COMPRESSOR AND THE UNIT REQUIRED REPLACEMENT TO FIX. THE DAMAGE, AS STATED BY THE REPAIR TECHNICIAN, WAS CAUSED BY "A ROCK OR SOMETHING" THAT WAS KICKED UP FROM THE ROAD WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE, AND MADE A HOLE IN THE COMPRESSOR. THE HOLE CANNOT BE REPAIRED, THEREFORE, THE COMPRESSOR REQUIRES REPLACEMENT. THE ESTIMATE GIVEN FOR THE REPAIR WAS $1,044. THE TECHNICIAN INDICATED THAT THERE WAS NOTHING PROTECTING THE CONDENSER UNIT FROM BEING HIT BY ROAD DEBRIS, AND IT IS ABSOLUTELY A DESIGN FLAW ON THE PART OF HONDA. IF SOMEONE IS UNABLE TO AFFORD THE REPAIR COST, THIS BECOMES A HEALTH CONCERN. WHEN I WAS DRIVING TO A DOCTOR APPOINTMENT 1 HOUR AWAY IN JULY ON A 98 DEGREE DAY, I SUFFERED MILD HEAT STROKE FROM HAVING TO DRIVE FOR AN HOUR ON THE HIGHWAY WITH THE SUN BEATING DOWN ON THE CAR AND THE HEAT RISING UP FROM THE HOT PAVEMENT AND SURROUNDING VEHICLES ON THE ROAD. I HAD TO SEEK AN ALTERNATE ROUTE HOME USING BACK ROADS SHADED BY TREES IN ORDER TO AVOID SUFFERING FROM HEAT STROKE AGAIN, AND THIS CAUSED A MAJOR INCONVENIENCE AS IT TOOK ME 2 HOURS TO GET HOME. IT IS APPARENT THAT THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN RECURRING IN ACCORDS SINCE AT LEAST THE EARLY 2000'S, AND HONDA IS BEING NEGLIGENT BY NOT ADDRESSING IT. SOMETIME IN 2016 I WENT TO A PAINT SHOP AND COULDN'T GET THE VEHICLE PAINTED BECAUSE OF THE DEFECTED AIRBAGS. MACCO PAINT SHOP SHOWED ME A DOCUMENT WHERE MY HONDA 2007 HAD A RECALLED ON AIRBAGS. IN 2017 SOME DOCUMENTS CAME WHERE THEY WHERE SUING HONDA FOR THE DEFECT AIRBAGS, I SIGN DOCUMENTS TO RECEIVE FIVE-HUNDRED NO LATER THAN FEB. 2018. I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY MONEY AND I SURE HAVE .
SUNSHINE RADIAN 80XTSL SUPERLATCH INSTALLATION BECOMES LOOSE (BY INCHES) AFTER A PROPER AND TIGHT INSTALLATION ANYTIME ONE OF THE KIDS' FEET TOUCHES THE TOP OF THE TIGHTENING BELT MECHANISM. IF I PUSH DOWN WITH JUST ONE FINGER, IT WILL LOOSEN ON IT'S OWN ALSO. THIS HAS OCCURRED ALMOST DAILY WHEN USING THE CAR SEATS BECAUSE THE KIDS' FEET WILL TOUCH IT AND I HAVE TO RETIGHTEN THE ANCHOR BELT BEFORE WE LEAVE THE HOUSE. DRIVING ON HIGHWAY BACK FORM AIRPORT. ENGINE LIGHT BLINKS THEN STAYS ON THEN BLINKS AGAIN. AT LOW SPEED ENGINE , MUFFLER, AND CAR ITSELF STRONG VIBRATIONS. I WAS DRIVING MY 2007 HONDA ACCORD AND A PIECE OF DEBRIS WAS IN THE ROAD. SOMETHING HIT THE BOTTOM OF MY CAR AND CAUSED THE AIR BAGS TO DEPLOY ON THE PASSENGER SIDE FRONT AND BACK AND ALSO SEAT AIRBAG. THE AIRBAGS NEVER INFLATED, JUST DROPPED DOWN LIKE A CURTAIN AND ALL THE WRINKLES ARE STILL IN THERE. *TR
2007 HONDA ACCORD EX-NAVIGATION. I HAVE OWNED THIS VEHICLE SINCE 2010 WITH 30K. THEY SHOULD BE MULTIPLE RECALLS ON THIS VEHICLE. IN 2 OCCASIONS ON THE HIGHWAY, I WAS UNABLE TO STOP THIS VEHICLE. I REAR ENDED ONE VEHICLE DOING 45 MPH WITHOUT THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYING. THE AIRBAG LIGHT STAYS ON WITH IT FLASHING. I HAD A COMPLETE BRAKE SYSTEM OVERHAUL. SECOND TIME, THE SAME THING HAPPENED. I PRESSED ON THE BRAKES AND IT TAKES SO LONG FOR THE VEHICLE TO RESPOND. DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THERE WAS NO ISSUE WITH THE AIRBAGS OR BRAKING SYSTEM. AFTER BOTH ACCIDENTS THE AIRBAG LIGHT FLASHES AND STAYS ON. ALSO THE SEAT BELTS STAY IN A LOCKED POSITION AND WON'T RETRACT. DEALERSHIP SAYS THE PISTON IN THE SEAT BELTS WERE BAD. I WAITED TO HAVE THEM FIXED. GOOD THING BECAUSE BOTH SEAT BELTS RETRACTED AFTER THREE WEEKS. SEPARATE ISSUE WITH THE SEALS ON THE OUTER DOORS. EVERY TIME IT RAINS I END UP WITH 3 INCHES OF WATER ON THE DRIVER SIDE REAR FLOOR. I HAD THE DEALERSHIP ALSO CHECK THIS. THEY SAID THEY FIXED THE PROBLEM. ALL PROBLEMS STILL OCCUR TO THIS DAY. I HAD OWNED HONDA ACCORDS ALL MY LIFE OF 48 YEARS. I HAVE MY DOUBTS OF EVER BUYING ANOTHER HONDA VEHICLE AFTER THIS AWFUL EXPERIENCE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 20 MPH, SHE NOTICED THAT WHEN SHE APPLIED THE BRAKES THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD JERK ABNORMALLY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 28,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 44,490.
