2007 HONDA ACCORD BRAKE ROTORS WARPED, FRONT AND REAR, REPLACED PAD ON BOTH F&R, STILL PROBLEM DID NOT GO AWAY AT 30,000 MILES PROBLEM HAS GOTTEN WORST, AND THE CAR IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE ON THE FREE WAY SINCE BRAKES SHAKE VIGOROUSLY, CALLED HONDA CORPORATE, AND THEY ARE IN DENIAL, SAYING ITS NORMAL FOR BRAKES TO FAIL AT THIS MANY MILES CAR IS UNDER 60,000 MILES WARRANTY OR 5 YEARS. A/C CONDENSER DAMAGED MY ROCK. LEAKS ALL COOLANT OUT. MANY PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. *TR

THE CAR WAS ON FIRE. THE FIRE WAS SO HOT IT MELTED THE VINYL SIDING ON THE FRONT OF OUR HOUSE. THE INSURANCE ADJUSTER THOUGHT THE FIRE WAS FUEL RELATED DUE TO THE INTENSE HEAT. *TR
WAS AT HONDA DEALER FOR SERVICE ON MY 2001 HONDA AS I WAS DRIVING MY NEW 2007 HONDA OUT THE DEALER LOT CAR ACCELERATED AND COULDN'T CONTROL THE CAR. SPEED UP AND CRASHED INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE IN SERVICE ARE CAUSING THAT CAR TO DAMAGE GARAGE DOOR TO THE REPAIR AREA. NO INJURIES LUCKILY. DAMAGE TO MY CAR IS $7500 AND HAD THE CAR LESS THAN A MONTH. *TR
I WAS HEARING A RUBBING NOISE WHEN DRIVING MY CAR. UPON TAKING IT TO THE AUTO REPAIR SHOP, IT WAS FOUND THAT THE BREAK PADS HAD CRACKED/SPLIT AND CAUSED DAMAGE TO THE ROTORS. THE BREAK PADS WERE NOT WORN, BUT HAD TO BE REPLACED DUE TO THE SPLITTING AND MY ROTORS HAD TO BE TURNED ON THE MACHINE DUE TO DAMAGE FROM THE SPLIT BREAK PADS.
HONDA ACCORD 2007, BRAKES SLIPS A LOT, CAR VIBRATES, CAR DOESN'T STOP AS SUPPOSE TO WHEN PROPERLY DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL, HAD TO PUT THE TRANNY TO LOWEST GEAR STEP BY STEP IN ORDER TO REALLY SLOW DOWN AND STOP. I HAD IT CHECK AND REPAIRED BY ACE TIRE, RESULT OF CHECK UP WAS, ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT FRONT BRAKE PADS CAVED IN THE FRONT ROTORS DUE TO LOW GRADE BRAKE ROTORS AND BRAKE PADS. *TR
CHILD SEATING IN CAR SEAT IN MY 2007 HONDA ACCORD,(SELF LATCHING) BECAME TANGLED IN THE ADULT SEAT BELT. IT WAS SO TIGHT THAT SHE HAD TO BE CUT OUT OF IT BY A POLICE OFFICER. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THAT THIS HAS OCCURRED. I CALLED THE HONDA DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THAT THERE IS NOT RETRACTION OPTION WHEN THE SEATBELT IS PULLED OUT SO FAR. THEY SAID THAT THIS ISN'T CONSIDERED A SAFETY ISSUE. THEY DIDN'T OFFER TO REPAIR IT.
CREAKING SOUND WHEN STEERING WHEEL TURNED TO THE LEFT. DEALER REPLACED THE POWER STEERING RACK, BELLOWS, CLAMP BELLOWS, POWER STEERING FLUID. DO NOT HAVE OLD PART AS DEALER MUST EITHER HAVE THEM OR DISCARDED THEM. *TR

VEHICLE WAS IN AN ACCIDENT ON EB I-270 WHICH TOTALED THE CAR AND NO AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. TRAVEL SPEED WAS 60-65 MPH HITTING CONCRETE SIDE WALL OF FREEWAY ONCE IN FRONT AND ONCE IN BACK OF VEHICLE. DRIVER SLAMMED HEAD AGAINST DRIVER SIDE WINDOW AS A RESULT. *TR
I'M HAVING ANTI-LOCK BRAKE PROBLEMS ON A HONDA ACCORD 2007 SE. THE PROBLEM IS THAT IN SNOW THE BRAKES ARE TAKING A RIDICULOUS AMOUNT OF TIME TO STOP. I HAVE DRIVEN IN SNOW FOR DECADES AND IT FEELS LIKE IT TAKES TWICE AS LONG TO STOP WITH HONDA'S ANTILOCK BRAKES COMPARED TO CONVENTIONAL BRAKES. I AM REFERRING TO CITY DRIVING IN SITUATIONS WHERE I'M ONLY GOING 25 MPH OR LESS AND THE BRAKES STOP POORLY. *TR
I TOOK THE BATTERY OUT OF AN 2007 HONDA ACCORD V-6 TO GET ACCESS TO THE HEADLIGHT BULB BEHIND THE BATTERY. I PUT THE BATTERY BACK INTO THE CAR AND INSTALLED THE POSITIVE TERMINAL THEN TOUCHED THE NEGATIVE TERMINAL TO THE NEGATIVE POST ON THE BATTERY AND THE CAR ENGINE STARTED WITHOUT THE KEY BEING TURNED ON. IF I WOULD HAVE HAD MY HANDS IN THE WRONG AREA IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT I WOULD NOT BE TYPING THIS E-MAIL. NO ONE WAS IN THE CAR WITH THE KEY TURNED ON, THE CAR STARTED BY ITSELF AND WOULD NOT SHUT OFF WHEN I TURNED THE KEY TO ON OR OFF, I HAD TO GET INTO THE CAR AND PUT IT INTO GEAR AND THEN BACK TO PARK TO GET THE KEY TO SHUT THE ENGINE OFF. *TR
VEHICLE SLIDE OVER TO HIT WITH ANOTHER VEHICLE AND AIR BAGS LAUNCHED. MY WIFE/PASSENGER HAS VERY BAD INJURIES AND HOSPITALIZED. BOTH LEGS BROKEN AND STILL SHE HAS PANIC ATTACKS AND OCCASIONALLY EXPERIENCES ANKLE PAINS FROM THE INJURIES CAUSED FROM THE INCIDENT. *TR
I'D LIKE TO REPORT AN ISSUE WITH MY 07 HONDA ACCORD BRAKES WITH 32,642 MILES. AFTER A FEW MILES OF FREEWAY DRIVING (NO STOP AND GO) ALL 4 ROTORS ARE VERY HOT. ANY ROTOR IS TOO HOT TO TOUCH, AND IN FACT, WOULD BLISTER YOUR FINGER. THEY ARE SO HOT THAT THEY SOMETIMES SMELL OF BURNT BRAKE MATERIAL. THESE BRAKE ROTORS ARE EXCESSIVELY HOT WITHOUT VIRTUALLY ANY USAGE OF THE BRAKES. THIS IS NOT A NORMAL CONDITION FOR ANY CAR. I DO NOT USE MY BRAKES EXCESSIVELY, DRIVE ALMOST EXCLUSIVELY FREEWAYS, AND GOT OVER 100,000 MILE ON MY PREVIOUS HONDA'S REAR BRAKES. I TOOK MY CAR TO THE LOCAL HONDA DEALER FOR SERVICE UNDER WARRANTY. WHEN I PULLED IN TO THE SERVICE AREA THE SERVICE PERSON CAME RIGHT OUT. I ASKED HIM TO VERIFY THAT THE ROTORS WERE EXTREMELY HOT. HE DID SO. THE REASON I HAD ASKED THE SERVICE PERSON TO VERIFY THE HOT ROTORS WAS SO THAT HE COULD ACKNOWLEDGE THE FACT THAT THE ROTORS WERE INDEED HOT BEFORE THE CAR HAD A CHANCE TO COOL DOWN. AFTER 20 MINUTES OR SO THE SERVICE TECHNICIAN HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO CHECK THE BRAKES. HE SAID THAT THERE WERE NO HOT SPOTS ON THE ROTORS AND THERE WAS NO PROBLEM. OF COURSE THE ROTORS WERE NOT HOT AFTER COOLING DOWN FOR 20 MINUTES. THE SERVICE PERSON ALSO TOLD ME THAT THE REAR PADS WERE CLOSE TO NEEDING REPLACEMENT. NEEDING TO REPLACE THE REAR PADS AFTER 33,000 MILE OF FREEWAY DRIVING IS PREMATURE PAD WEAR. THE ONLY REASON FOR PREMATURE PAD WEAR ON MY BRAKES AFTER 33,000 MILES IS DRAGGING BRAKE PADS. BECAUSE THE BRAKES ARE DRAGGING ALL THE TIME IS THE REASON THAT THE ROTORS ARE EXCESSIVELY HOT AND THE REASON THAT THE PADS ARE PREMATURELY WORN. THIS IS NOT A NORMAL CONDITION FOR ANY CAR. BRAKE ROTORS BEING EXCESSIVELY HOT IS A DANGEROUS CONDITION. ROTORS THAT ARE EXCESSIVELY HOT ALL THE TIME WILL LEAD TO PREMATURE BRAKE FADE IN CONDITIONS WHERE THE BRAKES WOULD BE USED A LOT, LIKE DRIVING DOWNHILL MOUNTAIN GRADES. THIS IS A DEFINITE SAFETY ISSUE. *TR

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DECELERATING FROM 5 MPH, THE ENGINE WOULD EXHIBIT AN UNUSUAL INCREASE IN ENGINE RPMS, UP AS IF IT WERE TRYING TO ACCELERATE. THE CONTACT WOULD HAVE TO SHIFT INTO NEUTRAL TO STOP THE ENGINE FROM IDLING. THE FAILURE OCCURRED ON AN INTERMITTENT BASIS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INSPECTED BY A DEALER NOR REPAIRED. I JUST BOUGHT A USED HONDA ACCORD 2007 AND WHILE DRIVING IT BACK HOME THE SRS DRIVER AIRBAG LIGHT WENT ON AND HAS BEEN ON AND STAYS ON FROM NOW ON WHEN I START THE ENGINE IT GOES OF AND THEN COMES ON AND STAYS ON, THIS IS A SAFETY MATTER OF CONCERN FOR ME AS IF I GET INTO AN ACCIDENT THE AIRBAGS WON'T DEPLOY AND I REALLY CANT AFFORD TO GET THIS FIXED AS I HAVE READ THAT HONDA CHARGES 800 DOLLARS TO FIX IT. POWER STEERING VERY TIGHT. SOMETIMES FEEL LOSS OF CONTROL. HONDA DEALERSHIP (PLANET HONDA) DENIES SERVICE SAYING OUT OF WARRANTY. THIS IS MANUFACTURER DEFECT. I WANT THIS INSPECTED AND FIXED. I AM STARTING TO HAVE TENNIS ELBOW BECAUSE I HAVE TO APPLY LOT OF POWER TO TURN THE STEERING. *TR
SINCE PURCHASING MY VEHICLE NEW IN 2007 I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THE POWER STEERING PUMP 5 TIMES INCLUDING HOSES.MY VEHICLE ALWAYS BEGINS MAKING A PIERCING MOAN SOUND. THE POWER STEERING FLUID RESERVOIR LEAKS ALL THE TIME ALLOWING FLUID TO BUILD UP ON MY ENGINE.
WHILE PARKING MY CAR IN MY GARAGE, I HAD PUT IT IN PARK AND TOOK MY FOOT OF THE BRAKE PEDAL, MY 2007 HONDA ACCORD SEDAN LUNGED FORWARD HITTING MY DRYWALL, SOLAR WATER HEATER, WASHER AND DRYER THEN IT JUMPED BACK AND STOPPED. I WAS SO STUNNED AS I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT WAS HAPPENING HERE. INSTANTLY THE CAR DECIDED TO GO IN REVERSE AT AN ACCELERATED RATE DOWN THE HILL OF MY DRIVEWAY HITTING THE CONCRETE SIDE OF MY NEIGHBOR'S GARAGE, THEIR CAR AND BOUNCED FORWARD UP THE HILL TO HIT MY HOUSE AGAIN AND STOPPED AT THE CREST OF THE HILL. THE CAR IS TOTALED. STATE FARM INSURANCE HIRED AN INVESTIGATOR SEA THAT DECIDED THAT THERE ARE NO DEFICIENCIES YET THEY FAILED TO LOOK AT THE TRANSMISSION, ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULE, POWERTRAIN ONLY REVIEWED THE BRAKES, TIRES, THROTTLE. CAN YOU HELP ME. AFTER REVIEWING AN ARTICLE OF THE TOYOTAS AND HOW THEY AND OTHER MANUFACTURERS HAVE GONE TO A NEW ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL MODULE WHICH HAS RESULTED IN THE SAME TYPE OF PROBLEM, I ACCELERATED AS MY FOOT WAS ON THE BRAKE THE WHOLE TIME AND THE SHIFT GEAR WAS IN PARK. THIS NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED FURTHER . POSSIBLE NEW RECALL. THERE ARE SEVERAL OTHER INCIDENTS LISTED ON THE HONDA MALFUNCTIONS COMPLAINT PAGE UNDER 2007 HONDA ACCORDS WITH THE SAME TYPE OF PROBLEMS, CARS BEING TOTALED AND WHAT RECOURSE DO WE HAVE AS CONSUMERS? OBVIOUSLY STATE FARM ISN'T GOING TO PURSUE IT WITH HONDA JUST CHARGE TO ME AS AN ACCIDENT AND PROBABLY DROP ME AND RAISE MY RATES SKY HIGH. I NEED HELP ON HOW TO PURSUE THIS FURTHER. $10,000 DAMAGE TO MY HOUSE, CAR TOTALED @ $18,000+, AND $19,000+ DAMAGE TO MY NEIGHBOR'S HOUSE. THE DEALER INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND DETERMINED THAT THE BRAKE CALIPERS IN THE REAR HAVE FAILED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE WILL REPLACE THE BRAKE PADS. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THEY ARE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING SEEKING A SOLUTION. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 12,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 12,200
CAR ALARM ON HONDA ACCORD SE 2007,BOUGHT FROM FULLER HONDA, SAN DIEGO DID NOT ACTIVATE, NEVER ACTIVATE WHILE THE CAR WAS BURGLARIZED/BROKEN IN TO WHILE CAR ALARM WAS ARMED AT OUR DESIGNATED PARKING LOT OUTSIDE OUR APARTMENT . I EMAILED FULLER HONDA TO REPORT THE INCIDENT AND INQUIRE WHY IT DID NOT ACTIVATE AT ALL, EVEN ASK THEM IF ALL THE CARS THEY SELL DO THE SAME. I NEVER GOT ANY REPLY FROM THE COMPANY ABOUT MY EMAIL/ CAR PROBLEM. I DID CLAIM FROM AAA WHAT WAS STOLEN AS A RESULT OF THIS EQUIPMENT FAILURE. MY HUSBAND AND I WERE HIT BY A DRIVER WHO WENT THRU A RED ARROW. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY EVEN THOUGH THE CAR WAS HIT ON DRIVERS SIDE FROM THE HEAD LIGHT PAST THE REAR DOOR. BOTH THE WINDOWS WERE BROKEN ON DRIVER'S SIDE THERE WAS GLASS EVERYWHERE, DAMAGE WAS EXTENSIVE. THE DRIVER'S AND FRONT PASSENGERS DUAL-STAGE AIRBAGS, DRIVER'S AND FRONT PASSENGERS SIDE AIRBAGS AND SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOYED. THE SEAT BELT ON PASSENGER SIDE DID NOT TIGHTEN UP WENT PASSENGER WAS THRUST FORWARD. THE MAGNITUDE AND FORCE OF THE CRASH CAUSED ABRUPT JERKING TO OUR HEADS AND NECKS. THE RANGE OF MOTION IN MY NECK IS VERY LIMITED I CANNOT TURN HEAD TO SEE BLIND SPOTS OR BACK OUT OF PARKING SPOTS WHEN DRIVING. WE BOTH HAVE DISC PROBLEMS TO OUR BACK AND NECK CAUSING US DIFFICULTY WHEN WALKING, STANDING OR SITTING AND IN OUR EVERY DAY LIVING. IF THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED OUR INJURIES WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN SO EXTENSIVE AND OUR LIVES WOULD BE BETTER.THE CAR WAS REPAIRED USING SOME USED PARTS COSTING $12,000.00 TO REPAIR. I FEEL THIS CAR IS UNSAFE. SIX AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY IN A MAJOR CAR CRASH AND SOMEONE COULD BE DRIVING THIS CAR TODAY. WE BOUGHT THIS HONDA BECAUSE OF ALL THE SAFETY FEATURES BUT THEY FAILED TO WORK. *TR

THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT HE HAD TO REPLACE THE BRAKES TWICE SINCE HE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO STATED THAT THE REAR BRAKES NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE BUT DID NOT OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE SINCE IT WAS CONSIDERED WEAR AND TEAR. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. MY 2007 HONDA ACCORD WITH 23,800 MILES ON IT STALLS AND WILL NOT RESTART. THIS OCCURS AFTER IT HAS BEEN DRIVEN LIGHTLY (A FEW LOCAL MILES) IN MODERATE TEMPERATURE CONDITIONS. THE IGNITION DOESN'T WORK; THE BATTERY LOSES ITS CHARGE. THE OCCURRENCES ARE UNPREDICTABLE AND LEAVE ME STRANDED WHEREVER THE INCIDENT OCCURS. YESTERDAY I WAS STRANDED ONE-HOUR FROM MY HOME; CALLED AAA FOR ASSISTANCE. AAA OBSERVED THE BATTERY NEEDED RECHARGING WHICH SOLVED THE PROBLEM. HOWEVER WHEN TAKEN TO THE DEALER, THE HONDA DEALER CLAIMED THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE BATTERY. THIS APPEARS TO BE AN ELECTRICAL OR FUEL PUMP PROBLEM AND APPEARS TO RELATE DIRECTLY TO THE NHTSA HONDA RECALLS FOR STALLING AND/OR SUDDEN STOPPING BY RECALLED 2005-2006 MODELS. THE PROBLEM HAS NOT BEEN CORRECTED IN MY 2007 MODEL. WHAT IIS MY RECOURSE? I HAVEN'T PAID THE CAR OFF YET AND CONSIDER IT TO BE A LEMON. *TR
I WAS PASSING A LARGE TRUCK, DOWNGEARED INTO THIRD GEAR, LET OUT THE CLUTCH, AND THE TRANSMISSION POPPED OUT OF THIRD GEAR. I FOUND MYSELF IN NEUTRAL FACING ON COMING TRAFFIC, AND HAD TO SLAM ON MY BRAKES AND PULL IN BEHIND THE TRUCK (ALMOST HAD A HEAD ON COLLISION). THIS POPPING OUT OF GEAR, AND DIFFICULTY SHIFTING INTO GEAR HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR OVER A YEAR AND OCCURS PERHAPS 3 OR 4 TIMES A MONTH. AFTER THIS NEAR MISS I DECIDED TO GET IT FIXED. BEFORE GOING TO THE DEALER THIS MORNING I DID AN INTERNET SEARCH ON "3 GEAR ACCORD 6 CYLINDER MANUAL" AND ONE OF THE RESULTS WAS HONDA SERVICE BULLETIN 08-020. THIS BULLETIN COVERS MY 07 ACCORD AND IS FOR "TRANSMISSION GRINDS WHEN SHIFTING INTO 3RD GEAR, POPS OUT OF 3RD GEAR, OR IS HARD TO SHIFT INTO 3RD GEAR, NOTE: THESE SYMPTOMS CAN BE INTERMITTENT AND SOMETIMES MORE NOTICEABLE IN COLDER CLIMATES. FAULTY 3RD GEAR SYNCHRONIZER OR SHIFT SLEVE" SOUNDS EXACTLY LIKE MY PROBLEM SO I WENT TO THE DEALER TODAY TO HAVE IT CORRECTED. THE DEALER WENT FOR A TEST DRIVE AND COULDN'T DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM (IT CAN GO FOR OVER A WEEK WITHOUT SHOWING UP), HE SAID HONDA'S POLICY WAS UNLESS THEY COULD SEE THE PROBLEM HONDA WOULD NOT AUTHORIZE ANY REPAIRS TO BE MADE. I CALLED UP US HONDA (800 999 1009) AND SPOKE TO A MR JIMMY RUDNER WHO VERIFIED WHAT THE DEALER SAID. SO HONDA HAS FOUND A PROBLEM WITH THEIR TRANSMISSION (THE ONE THAT ALMOST CAUSED ME TO HAVE A HEAD ON COLLISION), RELEASED A SERVICE BULLETIN ON HOW TO FIX IT, BUT REFUSES TO DO ANY REPAIRS UNTIL THIS 3 OR 4 TIMES A MONTH INTERMITTENT PROBLEM STARTS TO FAIL OFTEN ENOUGH FOR IT TO FAIL WHILE THE DEALER IS ACTUALLY DRIVING THE CAR. MEANWHILE THE PROBLEM CONTINUES. *TR
TIRE SEPARATION WHILE STOPPING AT TRAFFIC LIGHT, CAUSING LOUD HISSING SOUND. *TR

WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 5 MPH AND MAKING A LEFT TURN AND APPLYING PRESSURE TO THE BRAKE PEDAL A FORCEFUL UNINTENDED ACCELERATION OCCURRED AND CRASHED INTO A VEHICLE. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO REMEMBER THE DETAILS OF THE INCIDENT. THE POLICE AND AMBULANCE WERE NOTIFIED. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED NO PERSONAL INJURY; HOWEVER, THE OPPOSING VEHICLE DRIVER WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL. THE VEHICLE SUSTAINED SEVERE DAMAGES. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE POLICE DEPARTMENT AND COLLISION CENTER. THE INSURANCE COMPANY WAS ALSO NOTIFIED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE HAS NOT BEEN DETERMINED. THE CONTACT HAS CONCERNS OF THE SAFETY RISK INVOLVED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 9,500.
THE CAR SWIRLED ON BLACK ICE AND HAD A SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE ON SIDE WHEN IT HIT A TREE ON THE RAMP. WHEN CAR WAS REPAIRED THE TECHNICIAN SAID THEY HAD TO REPLACE THE CONTROL MODULE OF THE AIR BAG AS IT HAD BURNT OUT. THEY WERE NOT SURE IF THE AIR BAG SHOULD HAVE DEPLOYED OR DID NOT BECAUSE OF THIS FAILURE. HAVING READ THE RECALL FOR 2008 ACCORD FOR A SIMILAR ISSUE, I REMEMBERED ABOUT THIS INCIDENT AND THOUGHT I WILL BRING IT FORWARD INCASE THERE ARE ANY 2007 ACCORDS AS WELL THAT SHOULD BE LOOKED AT.
I WAS DRIVING DOWN 95N INTERSTATE HIGHWAY IN MY 2007 HONDA ACCORD WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN MY SIDE AIRBAG CURTAIN DEPLOYED ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. AT THE TIME I THOUGHT THAT I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF A CAR CRASH OR SOMETHING FLEW OFF OF A TRUCK THAT SMASHED INTO MY SIDE WINDOWS BUT WHEN I TURNED TO SEE, ALL I SAW WAS MY SIDE AIRBAG CURTAIN HANGING DOWN. THE SOUND ALONE SCARED ME HALF TO DEATH IT WAS THE LOUDEST POPPING SOUND I HAVE EVER HEARD! I SOMEHOW MADE MY WAY TO THE BREAKDOWN LANE TO CALM MY NERVOUS AN TRY TO FIGURE OUT WHAT HAPPENED. WHEN I HAD THE CHANCE TO GET OUT AN LOOK @ MY CAR I NOTICED THERE WAS NO SIGN OF IMPACT (NO DENTS, ETC.) I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP THAT I PURCHASED MY CAR FROM AND EXPLAINED WHAT HAPPENED AN THEY SAID THEY HAVE NEVER HEARD OF SUCH A THING HAPPENING AN IF I HAD REPLACED ANYTHING ON MY CAR.. IT'S A BRAN NEW CAR 1 1/2 YRS OLD, OTHER THAN OIL CHANGES NOTHING HAS BEEN REPLACED. THANK GOD NO ONE WAS IN MY PASSENGER SIDE SEAT WHICH DOESN'T EXPLAIN WHY THE AIRBAGS WERE ON IN THE 1ST PLACE. AND THANK GOD I DIDN'T CRASH DUE TO THE HORRIFYING SOUND AND BEING SCARED TO DEATH! MY EARS WERE RINGING FOR A GOOD HOUR AFTER IT DEPLOYED. HONDA STATED THAT I MUST HAVE RAN SOMETHING OVER. THEY PUT MY CAR ON A LIFT AN SAID THERE WAS A HOLE ON THE FLOOR OF MY CAR WHICH WOULD HAVE TRIGGERED THE SENSOR WHICH THEN SET THE AIRBAG OFF. I KNOW I DIDN'T RUN ANYTHING OVER... I WAS JUST DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE. THEY THEN SAID THAT THE SLIGHTEST IMPACT WOULD SET THE SENSOR'S OFF. SO NOW MY CAR IS IN A SHOP AFTER HAVING NO CAR FOR 2WKS. AND I'M PAYING OVER A $1000 TO GET IT REPAIRED. HONDA HAS NOT BEEN HELPFUL IN THIS WHOLE ORDEAL. PRETTY MUCH WHAT I GOT OUT OF WHAT THEY SAID IS THAT ANYTIME THAT I RUN OVER ANY DEBRIS IN THE ROAD THAT I NOW HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT MY SENSOR'S SETTING MY AIRBAGS OFF. 2007 HONDA ACCORD, OIL PRESSURE SWITCH HAS BEEN REPLACED TWICE, BOTH TIMES SHUT THE CAR OFF ON THE FREEWAY, SHUTTING THE CAR DOWN MAKING ME PULL OFF THE FREEWAY IN HEAVY TRAFFIC WITH NO WAY TO SPEED CAR UP. FIRST TIME, NO INJURIES, HONDA REPLACES OIL PRESSURE SWITCH, SECOND TIME, MAJOR CAR ACCIDENT, 13K OF DAMAGE TO MY CAR DUE TO BEING REAR ENDED ON THE FREEWAY, PARTS WERE REPLACED AGAIN. *TR
2007 HONDA ACCORDS TRUNK SPRING SEEMS TO HAVE NO EFFECT, AND IT SLAMS DOWN EASILY IF IT IS NOT FULLY RAISED. THE TRUNK SLAMMED DOWN ON MY WIFE'S ARM A FEW TIMES WHEN SHE IS PUTTING IN THE GROCERY (HER WRIST WAS BADLY BRUISED). I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP, BUT THEY WILL NOT FIX IT STATING THAT IT IS NOT AN ISSUE. HONDA DID FIX THE PROBLEM FOR THE 2009 MODEL. *TR
I AM CONCERNED THAT HONDA HAS USED SUBSTANDARD BRAKE ROTORS AND FAULTY AIRBAG EQUIPMENT ON SOME OF THEIR MODELS. I OWNED A 2007 HONDA ACCORD LX THAT REQUIRED REPLACEMENT OF AIRBAG COMPONENTS WITHIN TWO YEARS OF PURCHASE(THE CAR WAS NEW AT PURCHASE IN 2007). IT ALSO DEVELOPED FAULTY BRAKING IN THE FORM OF VIBRATION AND EXCESSIVE STOPPING DISTANCES WITHIN 18 MONTHS OF PURCHASE--THIS WAS UNDER MILD DRIVING CONDITIONS. I HAVE BEEN TOLD BY HONDA THAT IT IS COMMON FOR THEIR BRAKE ROTORS TO NEED TURNING WITHIN TWO YEARS OF SERVICE, WHICH, BASED ON MY EXPERIENCE WITH VEHICLES, WOULD CONSTITUTES A MARGINALLY SOUND BRAKE ROTOR. SUBSTANDARD BRAKING EQUIPMENT COUPLED WITH QUESTIONABLE AIRBAG COMPONENTS COULD LEAD TO CATASTROPHIC CONSEQUENCES IN THE EVENT OF AN INCURSION OR NEAR-INCURSION. *TR
WHILE SITTING IN TRAFFIC THE FIRST TWO TIMES THE AIR CONDITIONING HAS GONE OUT ON THE CAR. IT HAS BEEN REPAIRED BY HONDA UNDER WARRANTY THREE TIMES AND HAS NOW GONE OUT A FOURTH TIME. IT HAS BEEN TAKEN TO A DEALERSHIP AND HOOKED UP TO A MACHINE AND FOUND NO PROBLEMS SHOWING. POSSIBLE PROBLEM HAS BEEN GIVEN AS PARTS BROKEN LOOSE AND LODGED IN THE UNIT ITSELF.
THE FRONT BRAKES VIBRATE VIOLENTLY WHEN APPLYING BRAKES AT SPEED OF 60 ~ 75 MPH. THE VIBRATION STARTED WHEN THE CAR HAD ABOUT 10,000 MILES; I WENT TO DEALERSHIP, THEY TOLD ME IT WAS WARPING DISC CAUSED THE PROBLEM, I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR RE-SURFACING THE FRONT DISCS; AT 20,000 MILES, THE VIBRATION HAD BECOME A SAFETY CONCERNS, I HAD TO CHANGE ROTORS AND PADS, BUT THE VIBRATION STARTED AGAIN AFTER DRIVING ABOUT 2000 MILES. I WENT BACK THE MECHANICS, THEY TOLD ME THE FRONT DISCS ARE OK, MAYBE THE VIBRATION CAUSED BY OVERLY SENSITIVE ABS. I WENT BACK TO DEALERSHIP AGAIN, THEY SAID THERE ARE NO SERVICE BULLETINS OR RECALLS REGARDING THE ABS OR FRONT BRAKES, AND I SHOULD RE-SURFACE OR REPLACE THE ROTORS ONE MORE TIME (EVEN THE NEW ROTOR HAS ABOUT ONLY 7000 MILES ON IT). *TR

HE HAS NOT TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER TO HAVE IT INSPECTED TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. HE NOTIFIED THE MANUFACTURER AND WAS NOT PROVIDED WITH ANY ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 48,000.
WHILE DRIVING A/C QUIT WORKING. TOOK TO HONDA FOR WARRANTY SINCE CAR WAS LESS THAN A YEAR OLD FOR REPAIR. THE SAID THAT THEIR WAS A HOLE IN THE CONDENSER FROM A ROCK AND THAT WARRANTY WOULD NOT COVER IT. ESTIMATE FOR REPAIR WAS $620+TAX. *TR

I WENT TO THE DEALER/BALANCE TIRES/COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING/TOLD TO BRING BACK WHEN IT HAPPENS/IT HAPPENED AGAIN WHEN IT WAS SNOWING (AND THE OTHER TIMES I'VE NOTICED IT. I WAS DRIVING INTO A MCDONALD'S PARKING LOT, LOOKING FOR AN EMPTY SPOT SO THAT WE COULD USE THE REST ROOMS. IT WAS NOV. 30TH, SUNDAY AFTERNOON, AND THE LOOT WAS FULL OF PEOPLE RETURNING FROM THEIR THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY. FINALLY SAW ONE OPEN SPOT. AS I TURNED RIGHT TO ENTER THE SPOT, THERE WAS A NOISE AND A SUDDEN ACCELERATION. THIS PARKING SPOT ENDED WITH A 6 TO 8 INCH CONCRETE CURB. THERE WAS A SUDDEN ACCELERATION AND MY AUTO FLEW LIKE A ROCKET SHIP INTO THE CONCRETE CURB. SMOKE WAS COMING OUT OF THE ENGINE, OIL WAS FLOWING ALL OVER THE PAVEMENT, PEOPLE WERE SCREAMING GET OUT OF THAT CAR. FORTUNATELY, WE TURNED THE ENGINE OFF IMMEDIATELY MOST PROBABLY AVOIDING A MORE SERIOUS PROBLEM. THE DAMAGE TO THE BODY OF MY AUTO WAS ALMOST $5000 AND APPROXIMATELY THE SAME AMOUNT TO FIX THE ENGINE. THIS CAR WAS ONLY TWO YEARS OLD WITH A MILEAGE OF APPROXIMATELY 22,000 MILES. THIS CAR WAS IN THE HONDA BODY SHOP FOR 4 WEEKS UNTIL THE REPAIRS WERE COMPLETED. THEY WERE UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE SURGE AND THEREFORE MADE NO CORRECTION FOR THE FAILURE. *TR

I DON'T KNOW IF THIS IS AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM OR JUST FAULTY VEHICLES BUT THE DIMMING OF LIGHTS AT NIGHT TIME WHEN FOLLOWING ANOTHER DRIVER COULD BE MISTAKEN AS ME TRYING TO GET THEIR ATTENTION. MY CAR HAS HAD ENGINE ISSUES FOR THE LAST ALMOST 8 YEARS. BURNING OIL AT A MASSIVE RATE. IT ALSO STALLS WITH THIS SUDDEN JERK AND ROCKING SENSATION WHEN ACCELERATING/SHIFTING AT A LOW SPEED. I BOUGHT MY CAR BRAND NEW BUT FIRST BEGAN EXPERIENCING THIS ROCKING SENSATION IN NOVEMBER OF 2008 WHILE DRIVING DOWN A SLIGHT INCLINE AT A LOW SPEED ON A STREET. THIS ROCKING STOPPED ON ITS OWN FOR QUITE A WHILE. THEN IN APRIL 2011 IT BEGAN AGAIN WHERE AT HONDA'S DIAGNOSIS AND RECOMMENDATION THEY TOOK MY ENGINE APART AND 'FIXED' THE PROBLEM WHEN IT LATER AROSE IN 2014. THIS ISSUE HAS NOW ESCALATED TO THE ENGINE STALLING WHEN I DRIVE OVER 80 MILES AN HOUR - ACCELERATION SUSPENDS UNTIL THE SPEED DROPS BACK DOWN TO 70 MILES AN HOUR. IT'S SO UNSAFE BUT BECAME PREDICTABLE AND NORMAL. IN ALL OF THIS MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WILL NOT GO OFF HENCE CAUSING THE CAR TO FAIL EMISSIONS TESTS. I HAVE BROUGHT THIS UP TO MY LOCAL HONDA DEALERSHIP ALONG WITH EXCESSIVE BURNING OF OIL. I HAVE PERFORMED THE OIL CONSUMPTION TEST FOR THE DEALERSHIP TO SAY THAT MY CONSUMPTION - THOUGH CLEARLY EXCESSIVE AND VERY DARK - IS TECHNICALLY WITHIN HONDA'S PARAMETERS. EVERY TIME I RE-VISITED EITHER ISSUE I WAS GIVEN THE RUN AROUND AND NOW DEEMED BY MANY MECHANICS EVEN AT HONDA TO NOT PUT ANYMORE MONEY INTO THE CAR. THE DIAGNOSES WENT FROM O2 SENSOR TO CAM CHAIN TO NOW THE ROCKER ARM. IN 2014 WHEN HONDA SUPOSSESLY 'FIXED' THE CAM CHAIN I WAS EXPLICITLY TOLD THAT THIS WAS THE REASON MY CAR JERKED AND ROCKED BUT CLEARLY THAT WAS A FABRICATION. MY CAR PRESENTLY BURNS AT MINIMUM 2 QUARTS OF OIL A WEEK. UPON RECENT RESEARCH I SAW A RECALL ON 2007 HONDA ACCOR ENGINES FOR STALLING BUT MY VIN NUMBER WAS NOT INCLUDED.
