MY REAR BRAKE PADS NEED REPLACEMENT ABOUT EVERY 25K MILES. I EVEN HAD THE ROTORS RESURFACED BY THE DEALER AT ABOUT THE 25K MARK IN THE FRONT ALSO UNTIL I UPGRADED MY FRONT PADS BUT EVEN WITH UPGRADED REAR PADS NO DIFFERENCE AT ALL STILL WEAR TOO FAST. *TR
2008 HONDA ACCORD HAS PREMATURE BRAKE WEAR. BRAKES NEED TO BE RECALLED. HONDA NEEDS TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS DEFECT!!! REAR BRAKES WEAR OUT AFTER ONLY 20,000 MILES. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME I'VE HAD TO REPLACE REAR BRAKES AND ROTORS. *TR
WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT, I NOTICED AN INTERMITTENT, BRIEF FLICKERING OF THE HEADLAMPS. THIS FLICKERING IS DISTRACTING AS IT OCCURS FAIRLY OFTEN (2-3 TIMES PER MINUTE). *TR
I PURCHASED MY 2008 HONDA ACCORD IN JANUARY OF 2008. AUGUST 2008, MY AIR STOPPED WORKING. I TOOK THE CAR TO HONDA DEALERSHIP AND THEY ADVISED ME THAT A ROCK OR A PEBBLE HIT THE CONDENSER AND THAT IT IS CAUSING THE FREON TO LEAK OUT. I TOOK THE CAR TO ANOTHER MECHANIC THEY ADVISED ME THAT HONDA IS JERKING MY CHAIN BECAUSE THAT IS NOT THE CASE. I TOLD THE PEOPLE AT HONDA, THAT THERE IS NOTHING PROTECTING THE CONDENSER FROM THE DEBRIS, IT IS POORLY DESIGNED ON THAT ASPECT. I TOLD THEM THAT I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED, THEY WOULD NOT TRY TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE WITH ME AT ALL. THEY ARE EXPECTING ME TO COVER THE COST FOR THIS ISSUE. *TR

I BOUGHT MY 2008 HONDA ACCORD COUPE EX-L V6 MT ON JULY 08. SINCE THE FIRST 300+ MILES, I AM GETTING STEERING WHEEL VIBRATION WHEN THE CAR REACH 55 - 75MPH+. I WENT TO THE DEALER TO CHECK FULL ALIGNMENT, 4 WHEELS BALANCE, I EVEN DID THE HUNTER 9700 ROAD FORCE FOR ALL WHEELS AND TIRES. AND, I AM STILL HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. THIS IS A ALMOST $30,000 CAR, I DO NOT THINK IT SHOULD HAS SUCH A LEMON CAR. *TR
2008 HONDA ACCORD HAS WHEEL SHIMMY/VIBRATION AT 60-70MPH. WHEELS OSCILLATE VIOLENTLY AND CAR WANDERS ALL OVER ROAD (THIS IS A REPLACEMENT VEHICLE) I ORIGINALLY LEASED A 2008 HONDA ACCORD IN APRIL 2008 AND DROVE IT FOR 4 MONTHS WITH SAME EXACT PROBLEM. $ ATTEMPTS WERE MADE TO FIX ORIGINAL CAR TO NO AVAIL. DEALER WON'T EVEN ATTEMPT TO TEST DRIVE OR REPAIR THE REPLACEMENT VEHICLE--HAS ARRANGED APPT. WITH DISTRICT PARTS & SERVICE MANAGER.*TR
WE PURCHASED A 2008 HONDA ACCORD EXL IN 09/2008. VEHICLE IS USED TO COMMUTE TO WORK AND MAJORITY OF THE MILES ARE HIGHWAY. VEHICLE IS DRIVEN NORMALLY. AT APPROX. 17500 MILES, WE WERE TOLD THE REAR BRAKES NEED TO BE REPLACED BECAUSE OF WEAR ON THE BRAKE PADS. FRONT BRAKES ARE FINE. TALKED TO OTHER HONDA ACCORD OWNERS WHO ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEM. THE REAR BRAKES ARE DEFECTIVE AND OF POOR QUALITY. HONDA DEALERSHIP IS WILLING TO PAY 1/2 OF THE SERVICE CHARGE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 HONDA ACCORD. WHILE EXITING A RAMP HE HEARD A LOUD SQUEALING NOISE DURING BRAKE APPLICATION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON FIVE SEPARATE OCCASIONS FOR IDENTICAL FAILURES. THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF FAILURE. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 500. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 20,000.
HEADLIGHTS DRASTICALLY DIM WHEN AIR CONDITIONER OR DEFROSTER IS TURNED ON. BOTH BRIGHT AND DIMS DIM DOWN AND COME BACK UP, LIKE YOU ARE FLASHING YOUR HEADLIGHTS. THIS HAPPENS EVERY 20 TO 30 SECONDS, AS THE COMPRESSOR CYCLES ON AND OFF. VERY HARD TO SEE AT NIGHT WHEN LIGHTS DIM DOWN. HONDA CLAIMS THIS IS NORMAL ELECTRONIC LOAD DETECTOR OPERATION. PROBLEM IS POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS, ESPECIALLY IN RURAL AREAS. MANY COMPLAINTS PERTAINING TO THIS ISSUE HAVE ALREADY BEEN MADE. I WILL NOT DRIVE THE CAR AT NIGHT IF AIR CONDITIONER OR DEFROSTER IS NEEDED. *TR
2008 HONDA ACCORD BRAKE ROTORS HAD TO BE RESURFACED AT 14,000 MILES AND AGAIN AT 22,000 MILES. DEALER AND MANUFACTURER ARE NOT WILLING TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS PROBLEM ON A CAR THAT IS MOSTLY HIGHWAY DRIVING AND REQUIRES COMPARATIVELY LITTLE USE OF THE BRAKES. SUSPECT POOR QUALITY METALS IN THE ROTORS AS EVERY CAR OR TRUCK EVER OWNED HAS LASTED 60,000 + MILES BEFORE REQUIRING THIS WORK. *TR
HEADLIGHTS BLINK OUT BRIEFLY WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT. THIS IS A CONTINUING PROBLEM NOT A SINGULAR INCIDENT. *TR
I TOOK DELIVERY OF 2008 HONDA ACCORD COUPE (4 CYLINDER AUTOMATIC) IN AUGUST OF 2008. FROM DAY ONE I EXPERIENCE A STEERING WHEEL AND SUSPENSION/DRIVETRAIN VIBRATION & SHIMMY AT SPEEDS BETWEEN 45-65 MPH. THE DEALER REPLACED TIRES AND WHEELS, AND BALANCED FOUR WHEELS DURING FIRST SERVICE VISIT. ON THE SECOND AND LAST OFFERED SERVICE VISIT FOR THIS DEFECT, THE DEALER DETERMINED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS "OPERATING AS DESIGNED". THEY DID NOT STATE THAT THEY COULD NOT VERIFY THE COMPLAINT AND STATED THEY WOULD NOT MAKE ANYMORE ATTEMPTS TO DIAGNOSE OR REPAIR THE PROBLEM. *TR
2008 HONDA ACCORD EX V/6 STEERING WHEEL VIBRATION AND SHAKE AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS 55-80 MPH...........TIRES BALANCED 4 TIMES..........TIRES REPLACED AND ROADFORCED BALANCED AGAIN ............STILL HAVE WHEEL SHAKE AT SPEEDS..... *TR
1) HEADLIGHT PROJECTION VERY POOR. DIFFICULT TO SEE100 FEET AHEAD. THIS IS EXACERBATED BY A DRAW ON THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM THAT MAKES THE HEADLIGHTS DIM WHILE CAR IS IN MOTION. I WILL NOT DRIVE THE CAR AT NIGHT OR AT NIGHT WHILE IT IS RAINING. I FEEL THAT THE CAR IS DANGEROUS AND ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS I ALMOST HIT PEDESTRIANS WALKING OR ON A BICYCLE. THIS OCCURS ON A DAILY BASIS AND IS CONSTANT. THE HONDA DEALER INSPECTED THE ISSUE ONCE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO DEFECT, BUT THAT THE CAR OPERATES TO NORMAL SPECIFICATION AND ID COMPARABLE TO ALL 2008 HONDA ACCORD 4 CYLINDER MODELS. THIS ISSUE WAS PREVALENT SINCE I TOOK DELIVERY OF THE NEW CAR IN JULY, 2008. 2.) SINCE TAKING DELIVERY OF THIS VEHICLE AND TO THE PRESENT DATE, THERE IS A WOBBLE/WHEEL SHIMMY IN THE SUSPENSION AT VARIOUS SPEEDS AND DIFFERENT DEGREES OF SEVERITY ON A DAILY BASIS. ON THE FIRST REPAIR ATTEMPT THE DEALER REPLACED SEVERAL TIRES AND PERFORMED A HIGH TECH WHEEL BALANCE USING A HUNTER 9700 ROAD FORCE BALANCING MACHINE. THE PROBLEM WAS NOT CORRECTED. ON THE SECOND VISIT THE DEALER TEST DROVE THE CAR AND STATED THAT THE ISSUE IS A CHARACTERISTIC OF THE VEHICLE AND OTHER HONDA ACCORD 4 CYLINDER MODELS WITH THE SAME ENGINE, TRANSMISSION AND SUSPENSION. CONCLUSION: THIS CAR IS DANGEROUS, EXHIBITS VERY POOR STEERING AND RIDE AS IT WANDERS AND SHIMMIES ALL OVER THE ROAD. THIS PROBLEM COMBINED WITH POOR HEADLIGHT PROJECTION AND DIMMING HEADLIGHTS MAKE THIS VEHICLE A MAJOR HAZARD ON WHEELS. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS CONSUMING A SUBSTANTIALLY ABNORMAL AMOUNT OF OIL. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE WENT TO CHECK THE OIL ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS AND NOTICED THAT THERE WAS HARDLY NO OIL IN THE ENGINE. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER WHERE THEY WERE UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE FAILURE. THE DEALER STATED THAT THERE WAS A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN FOR THE VEHICLE BUT THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE PER SE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED WHO RECOMMENDED HAVING THE VEHICLE COMPLETE AN OIL CONSUMPTION TEST. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 52,000.
WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT TIME THE HEADLIGHTS FLICKER 1 TO 2 TIMES PER MINUTE. IF THE A/C UNIT OR HEATER/DEFROSTER ARE ON IT OCCURS 2 TO 3 TIMES PER MINUTE. TWICE WHILE DRIVING WITH THE DEFROSTER AND WINDSHIELD WIPERS ON. THE HEADLIGHTS STAYED DIM FOR 2 TO 3 SECONDS. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE HONDA DEALER WERE I PURCHASED IT. THEY SAID THEY ALREADY HAD OTHER VEHICLES WITH THIS PROBLEM AND THERE WAS NO FIX. I RETURNED ONE MONTH LATER, THE SERVICE MANAGER GAVE ME THE HONDA 800# AND TOLD ME TO CALL HONDA MOTOR CORP. THE ANSWER I GET THERE IS NO RECALL. *TR
I BOUGHT A BRAND NEW 2008 HONDA ACCORD WITH A 4 CYLINDER ENGINE. WHEN THE AIR CONDITIONER KICKS ON AND THE HEADLIGHTS ARE ON THERE IS A NOTICEABLE AND QUICK DIMMING ALMOST FLASHING OF THE HEADLIGHTS AND TAILLIGHTS. IT IS BRIGHT ENOUGH TO SEEM AS THOUGH I AM FLICKERING MY HEAD LIGHTS TO THE PERSON IN FRONT OF ME ON THE HIGHWAY AND THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY HAZARD. I CONTACTED HONDA BOTH THE DEALERSHIP AND A REGIONAL REPRESENTATIVE AND WAS TOLD THIS IS "NORMAL" AND "WITHIN SPECS". I AM NOT ALONE WITH THIS PROBLEM AS I HAVE FOUND MANY OTHERS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM AND THEY WERE ALL TOLD THE SAME FROM HONDA REPRESENTATIVES. I HAVE OWNED OVER 50 CARS IN MY LIFETIME AND FLICKERING LIGHTS, LET ALONE ON A BRAND NEW $27000 CARE SHOULD NEVER BE CONSIDERED "NORMAL." THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED OF THE SAFETY RISK INVOLVED. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 10,300.

FINALLY GOT A CHANCE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE FOR A PERIOD OF TIME WITH THE HEADLIGHT ON LAST NIGHT AND NOTICED THAT THE HEADLIGHTS KEEP DIMMING MOMENTARILY AS THE A/C OR FAN CYCLES ABOUT EVERY 20-30 SECONDS. TWO ISSUES THAT I HAVE IS THAT HONDA IS AWARE OF THE ISSUES AS EVERY 2008 ACCORD DOES THE SAME THING. IT IS RATHER NOTICEABLE AND VERY DISTRACTING NOT ONLY TO THE DRIVER BUT NO DOUBT TO OTHER DRIVERS THAT THINK I MAY BE FLASHING MY LIGHTS AT THEM. *TR
ON ALL 2008 ACCORD EX-L 4 CYLINDER MODELS, THE EXTERIOR LIGHTS (MOST NOTICEABLE ON HEADLIGHTS) MOMENTARILY DIM (FLICKER) WHENEVER THE A/C COMPRESSOR CYCLES ON. THIS SEEMS TO BE CAUSED BY THE CURRENT DRAW OF THE TWO ENGINE COOLING FANS. ACCORDING TO HONDA, THIS BEHAVIOR IS "NORMAL" AND IS CONTROLLED BY THE ELD (ELECTRONIC LOAD DETECTOR). IN MY OPINION, THIS CONTINUAL AND NOTICEABLE CHANGE IN HEADLIGHT INTENSITY IS EXTREMELY DISTRACTING TO ME (AS THE DRIVER). I HAVE NO IDEA HOW THESE FLICKERS MIGHT BE INTERPRETED BY ONCOMING TRAFFIC. I HAVE OWNED MANY CARS IN THE LAST 35 YEARS AND NONE HAS EVER EXHIBITED THIS EXTREMELY ANNOYING AND POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS CHARACTERISTIC. *TR
I PURCHASED A 2008 HONDA ACCORD LAST WEEK, AND DROVE IT AT NIGHT FOR THE FIRST TIME TODAY. WHEN THE A/C CYCLES ON, THE HEADLIGHTS DIM MOMENTARILY CAUSING A DISTRACTION EVERY 20 SECONDS. TRANSMISSION WAS LEAKING EXCESSIVE TRANSMISSIONS FLUID THROUGH THE TRANSMISSION BLOCK AFTER ONLY 1800 MILES ON A NEW 2008 HONDA ACCORD. LOCAL DEALER SERVICE DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDED TRANSMISSION BE REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY. HONDA USA CUSTOMER SERVICE DENIED RECOMMENDED TRANSMISSION REPLACEMENT. DEALER THEN SUGGESTED CUSTOMER CONTACT HONDA USA CUSTOMER SERVICE TO GET TRANSMISSION REPLACED. HONDA TECHNICAL SERVICE REFUSED REPLACEMENT AND WANTED A DYE LEAK TEST OVER A ONE WEEK PERIOD AFTER ACKNOWLEDGING A WIDE SPREAD CONCERN WITH TRANSMISSION LEAKAGE. CUSTOMER REFUSED ONE WEEK TEST DUE TO UPCOMING LONG DISTANCE TRIP AND LEFT VEHICLE WITH DEALER TO CONDUCT DYE TEST. DEALER CONDUCTED DYE TEST WITH ONLY 60 MILES (1 HOUR DRIVE) TO CONFIRM LEAKING TRANSMISSION BLOCK. TRANSMISSION WAS THEN REPLACED BUT ONLY AFTER NEEDLESS INCONVENIENCE TO THE CUSTOMER. THERE APPEARS TO BE NO CURRENT TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN AVAILABLE REGARDING THIS ISSUE? *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 HONDA ACCORD. AFTER THE CONTACT ENTERED THE VEHICLE, THE LUMBAR SUPPORT PUSHED ON HER LOWER BACK IN A VERY FIRM MANNER. IT CAUSED HER LEGS TO FEEL NUMB. SHE THOUGHT THAT SHE WOULD GET USED TO THE ISSUE; HOWEVER, SHE DID NOT. THE CONTACT HAD TO VISIT THE CHIROPRACTOR BECAUSE THE SEAT THREW HER BACK OUT (DIRECT RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE SEAT AND HER CONDITION). SHE ALSO FELT THAT THE DRIVER'S SEAT FELT LIKE WOOD OR A BENCH, WHICH MADE HER UNCOMFORTABLE. THE CONTACT CONSULTED THE DEALER, BUT THEY REFERRED HER TO THE MANUFACTURER. THE MANUFACTURER THEN REFERRED HER TO NHTSA. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 420 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 10.
HEAD AND TAILLIGHTS DIM EVERY 20-30 SECONDS WHEN A/C IS RUNNING. THIS DIMMING MIMICS THE FLASHING OF YOUR HEADLIGHTS THAT IS THE NATIONAL SIGNAL TO A SEMI TRUCK DRIVER THAT THEY HAVE CLEARED YOUR CAR AND IT'S O.K .TO PROCEED INTO YOUR LANE AFTER PASSING YOU. THIS SITUATION IS AN ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN. IT ALSO COULD EASILY RESULT IN A ROAD RAGE INCIDENT FROM A DRIVER IN FRONT OR BEHIND YOU THAT THINKS YOU ARE EITHER FLASHING HEADLIGHTS OR TAPPING THE BRAKES. I HAVE HAD THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALER TWICE FOR REPAIR BUT THEY ARE NOT AUTHORIZED TO EVEN ATTEMPT A FIX AS HONDA SAYS THAT THIS IS NORMAL. I CONTACTED HONDA CORP IN CALIFORNIA AND THE CASE MANAGER BASICALLY STATED THAT THIS IS NORMAL AND CASE CLOSED. I HAVE RECENTLY BEEN TOLD BY SERVICE MANAGER THAT HONDA IS LOOKING INTO THE HEADLIGHT ISSUE AND IT HAS BEEN PUT INTO EXTREME ENGINEERING(WHATEVER THAT MEANS). THEY SAID HOWEVER THAT THIS IS NO GUARANTEE THAT A FIX WILL COME. WHAT IS IT GOING TO TAKE FOR YOU TO PUT PRESSURE ON HONDA TO FIX THIS AND TO STOP SELLING THESE CARS UNTIL THEY FIX THIS? DOES SOMEONE NEED TO DIE FIRST IS THAT YOUR CRITERIA. YOUR WHOLE PURPOSE IS TO SERVE AND PROTECT THE PUBLIC. PLEASE DO WHAT IS RIGHT. *TR
MY COMPLAINT REGARDS THE DESIGN OF THE DRIVER SEAT IN MY 2008 HONDA ACCORD EX. THE SEAT HAS WHAT IS CALLED AN "ACTIVE HEAD RESTRAINT" WHERE THE HEADREST IS MECHANICALLY LINKED TO A PLATE IN THE SEAT BACK. THE PLATE IN THE SEAT BACK PRODUCES AN EXCESSIVE AMOUNT OF LUMBAR SUPPORT, EVEN WITH THE POWER LUMBAR CONTROL COMPLETELY DISENGAGED. IN ANY SEATING POSITION, THE MAJORITY OF THE PRESSURE IS CONCENTRATED ON MY LOWER BACK. THE OTHER PROBLEM WITH THE SEAT IS THE AGGRESSIVE FORWARD ANGLE OF THE HEADREST. THE HEADREST ANGLE IS NOT ADJUSTABLE, AND IT FORCES MY HEAD TO BE POSITIONED FURTHER FORWARD THAN IS COMFORTABLE, PLACING STRAIN ON MY NECK. THIS IS AN 8-WAY POWER SEAT, AND I HAVE HAD IT IN EVERY POSSIBLE POSITION, BUT THE COMBINATION OF THE LUMBAR PLATE AND HEADREST ANGLE PRODUCES DISCOMFORT AND PAIN IN MY BACK, NECK, AND SHOULDERS. I AM FEARFUL THAT THE SEAT MAY CAUSE PERMANENT INJURY TO MY BACK AND NECK AS I AM EXPERIENCING THE BACK AND NECK PAIN NOW EVEN WHEN I AM NOT SITTING IN THE CAR. THE PAIN IS AFFECTING MY SLEEP AND POSTURE THROUGHOUT THE DAY. I HAVE NEVER HAD BACK PROBLEMS IN MY LIFE BEFORE THIS. I HAD THE DEALER WHERE I BOUGHT THE CAR LOOK AT THE SEAT AND THEY TOLD ME THAT IT WAS FINE AND FELT NORMAL. I HAVE TRIED PLACING VARIOUS PADS ON THE SEAT BACK BUT THAT OFFERS NO RELIEF. *TR

PURCHASED NEW 2008 HONDA ACCORD 4CYL. IN JUNE 2008. AFTER A WEEK I DROVE THE VEHICLE AT NIGHT AND NOTICED THAT THE HEADLIGHTS AND TAIL LIGHT MOMENTARILY DIM EVERY 30 SECONDS OR SO. CALLED THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD TO BRING THE VEHICLE WHICH I DID. THEY RAN DIAGNOSTIC TEST AND I WAS TOLD EVERY IS FUNCTIONING AS DESIGNED. AFTER DOING A GOOGLE SEARCH "HONDA HEADLIGHT DIMMING" I CAME UPON SEVERAL FORUMS THAT HOST A NUMBER OF COMPLAINT FROM 2008 HONDA ACCORD OWNERS WHO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. YOUR WEB SITE SHOWS AT LEAST 76 COMPLAINT FOR THE SAME ISSUE. MY CONCERNS ARE THIS:1.) NO OTHER CAR HAS THIS FEATURE DESIGN CAUSING THE HEADLIGHTS AND TAIL LIGHTS TO DIM .2.) ON COMING TRAFFIC THINKS THAT THEY ARE BEING FLASHED CAUSING MANY TO GESTURE....3.) CARS IN FONT THINK THAT THEY ARE BEING FLASHED W/ HIGH BEAMS. 4.) VERY DISTRACTING TO THE DRIVER 5.) CARS BEHIND YOU THINK YOU ARE TAPPING THE BRAKES. 5.) SOME ONE PASSING YOU MAY THINK THAT YOU HAVE FLASHED THEM TO COME BACK INTO THE LANE PREMATURELY. I COULD GO ON AND ON. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND NOT NORMAL. PLEASE HELP. THERE HAVE BEEN SUCCESSFUL LEMON LAW SUITS FILED AGAINST HONDA DUE TO THIS ISSUE. YOU ARE OUR GOVERNMENT, YOUR ONLY PURPOSE IS TO SERVE THE PEOPLE. I OWN A NEW 2008 HONDA ACCORD 4 CYLINDER. IT HAS APPROX. 5,000 MILES ON IT. THE AIR CONDITIONER HAS BEEN WORKING GREAT. WE GET IN OUR CAR TO GO AND THE A/C IS BLOWING HOT AIR. I CALL THE HONDA DEALER, WE SET UP AN APPOINTMENT TO CARRY THE CAR IN TO HAVE IT CHECKED OUT. THEY FIND THAT THE CONDENSER HAS A SMALL HOLE APPARENTLY CAUSED BY A ROCK WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. THIS IS CONSIDERED A ROAD HAZARD AND THEREFORE NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. WHAT IS THIS CONDENSER MADE OF????? WHY-HOW- COULD THIS HAPPEN? HOW COULD A ROCK PUT A VERY SMALL HOLE IN THIS CONDENSER? I THINK HONDA HAS A PROBLEM WITH THIS CONDENSER. SOMETHING IS NOT RIGHT HERE!!! I HAVE SOME QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS BEING A ROAD HAZARD. DO I FILE UNDER MY INSURANCE AND RISK THE CHANCE OF MY INSURANCE GOING UP MORE OR DO I PAY THE $279? AFTER DELIBERATION, I CHOSE TO PAY THE $279. (I ALREADY HAVE 2 TEENAGERS ON MY INSURANCE!!) THEY HAVE TO ORDER THE PART AND IT WON'T BE IN TIL NEXT WEEK AND THEN I WILL HAVE TO MAKE ANOTHER APPOINTMENT TO SPEND THE DAY AT THE SHOP WHILE MY VEHICLE IS REPAIRED. 2008 HONDA ACCORD 4 CYLINDER EX-L W/NAVIGATION: WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT HEADLIGHTS FLICKER WHEN THE AIR CONDITIONER IS ON. THIS OCCURS ABOUT EVERY 15 SECONDS. THE HEADLIGHTS BECOME VERY DIM AND PROVIDE POOR VISIBILITY AND MAY ALSO APPEAR TO OTHER DRIVERS THAT YOU ARE SIGNALING THEM. IT IS A BIG DISTRACTION AND MAKES THE VEHICLE A SAFETY HAZARD TO DRIVE AT NIGHT WHILE THE AIR CONDITIONER IS ENGAGED. THE MANUFACTURER DOES NOT READILY OFFER A SOLUTION FOR THIS DEFECT. *TR
IN THE LAST TWO WEEKS, THE CAR WOULD NOT START ON FOUR SEPARATE OCCASIONS. HAVE HAD TO HAVE THE CAR JUMP STARTED. I'VE TAKEN IT TO THE HONDA DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAY THAT NOTHING IS SHOWING WRONG WITH IT ON THE DIAGNOSTIC READING. THEY FIRST INDICATED THAT AN INTERIOR LIGHT COULD HAVE BEEN LEFT ON BUT THEN THE PROBLEM REPEATED ITSELF. TOOK THE CAR BACK AND WAS TOLD THAT NOTHING WAS WRONG. FOR THAT REASON THEY SAY THEY CANNOT FIX SOMETHING THAT IS NOT WRONG. HOWEVER, THE CAR HAS NOT STARTED ON EVEN AFTER IT HAS HAD TWO NEW BATTERIES PUT IN IT. SOMETHING CONTINUES TO KILL THE BATTERY WHEN IT SITS FOR A WHILE OR OVER NIGHT AND THEY HAVE NO CLUE WHAT IT IS AND WILL NOT FIX IT BECAUSE "NOTHING IS WRONG" WITH THE CAR. SOMETIMES THE CAR WILL START BUT THE PROBLEM IS GETTING WORSE. I HAVE A CAR THAT I'M TERRIFIED TO DRIVE FOR FEAR THAT I MIGHT BE STRANDED. I'VE ALSO PURCHASED A JUMPER CABLES WITH BATTERY TO KEEP IN THE TRUNK OF THE CAR BECAUSE I AM USING MY AUTO CLUB TOO MUCH IN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME AND NOW THEY MUST CHARGE ME IF THEY COME OUT TO START IT. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN MOVED SINCE THE DAY OF THE FIRST INCIDENT. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER, BUT THEY DID NOT EXPLAIN WHAT CAUSED THE FAILURE OR DEFECT. ON JUNE 15, 2009, I DETECTED THE REAR BRAKE INDICATORS SOUNDING, I IMMEDIATELY TOOK THE HONDA ACCORD TO THE DEALERSHIP I PURCHASED THE CAR AND WAS TOLD THE BRAKES NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE HAS 21559 MILE AND JUST AT A YEAR OLD. THE SERVICE MANAGER TOLD ME THAT THIS IS COMMON WITH 2008 HONDA ACCORDS AND THAT IT IS NOT COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY. TAKATA RECALL I GET LETTER AFTER LETTER FROM HONDA PROMISING TO REPLACE THE AIRBAG. THE LATEST LETTER TELLS ME TO LET NO ONE SIT IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. WHAT ABOUT THE DRIVER'S SEAT?
