HI SANDY HOW ARE YOU DOING? THE STRANGEST THING HAPPENED TO ME YESTERDAY. I WAS DRIVING MY 2014 HONDA ACCORD CAME TO A RED LIGHT. WHEN I PUT MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE THE ENGINE ACCELERATED AND IT WAS HARD TO STOP THE CAR, SO I PUT THE TRANSMISSION IN NEUTRAL AND THE ENGINE RACED, I THEN TURNED THE CAR OFF. I RESTARTED THE CAR AND IT WAS FINE. THE DEALER TESTED IT OVER NIGHT FOR 160 MILES AND COULD NOT DUPLICATE. CAR WAS OUT OF WARRANTY, SO WAS CHARGED FOR SERVICE. THEY DID A SOFTWARE UPDATE ON PCM (MAIN COMPUTER) AND EPS SYSTEM (STEERING WHEEL)
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THE STARTER MALFUNCTIONED AND THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE CONTACT OPENED THE HOOD AND THE ENGINE STARTED SMOKING SO HE DISCONNECTED THE BATTERY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER VISALIA HONDA (1016 S BEN MADDOX WAY, VISALIA, CA 93292, (866) 220-5340) WHERE THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL ON THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
SINCE THE EXPIRATION OF THE VEHICLE'S WARRANTY, THE FOLLOWING ISSUES HAVE OCCURRED. BOTH DOOR LOCKING ACTUATORS HAVE FAILED AND REQUIRE REPLACEMENT. THIS FAILURE REQUIRES THE DRIVER TO MANUALLY LOCK AND UNLOCK THE VEHICLE. THE AIR CONDITIONING BLOWER MOTOR HAS FAILED SEVERAL TIMES AND WILL EVENTUALLY NEED TO BE REPLACED, CAUSING NO AIR TO FLOW THROUGH THE VENTS IN SOME OF THE HOTTEST AND COLDEST DAYS OF THE YEAR. MOST NOTICEABLY THE STARTER AND STARTER SOLENOID HAS FAILED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, PREVENTING THE ENGINE FROM STARTING, AND WILL ALSO NEED TO BE REPLACED.
BACKUP CAMERA DISPLAY SCREEN IS BLACK AND LANE DEPARTURE CAMERA NOT FUNCTIONING.
GRINDING NOISE WHILE ATTEMPTING TO START. VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY. GRINDING NOISE CAN OCCUR ONCE OR UP TO 10 TIMES BEFORE ENGINE WILL FINALLY START. ENGINE HAD LESS THAN 100,000 MILES WHEN INITIALLY OCCURRED. CONTINUED TO GET WORSE OVER TIME AND MILEAGE.
THE MULTI-INFORMATIONAL DISPLAY AND RADIO TURN OFF RANDOMLY ON THEIR OWN AND RE-BOOT WHILE DRIVING. THIS OCCURS RANDOMLY AND WHEN IT DOES OCCUR, USUALLY OCCURS SEVERAL TIMES IN A ROW. THERE HAVE ALSO BEEN OTHER OCCASIONS WHERE THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM COMPLETELY SHUTS DOWN UPON TURNING OFF THE VEHICLE AND THE VEHICLE CANNOT BE LOCKED, UNLOCKED OR RE-STARTED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 HONDA ACCORD. WHILE DRIVING 10 MPH, THE CONTACT NOTICED SMOKE UNDER THE HOOD OF THE VEHICLE. THE BATTERY WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND THE VEHICLE CAUGHT ON FIRE UNDER THE HOOD. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A TOW YARD. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER TO BE DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. IT WAS UNKNOWN IF THE VEHICLE WAS A TOTAL LOSS. THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 69,000.
AFTER 4 YRS AND 60K MILES THIS CAR HAS HAD A STARTER REPLACED BY THE DEALER AND I'VE GOTTHEN TWO NEW BATTERIES. NEED TO JUMP START EVERY NOW AND THEN EVEN AFTER THE CAR HAS BEEN TURNED OFF ONLY WHILE STOPPING FOR A COUPLE OFF MINUTES. CAN'T RELY ON THIS CAR TO BE ON TIME TO PICK UP KIDS FROM SCHOOL OR GET TO WORK
RPM SURGED TO 7000 TO 8000 RPM

THE FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE AND A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CAUSE OF THE FIRE WAS UNKNOWN. THERE WERE NO INJURIES SUSTAINED. IT WAS NOT DETERMINED IF THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN UNKNOWN LOCATION AND WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER TO BE DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE AND VIN WERE UNKNOWN.
MY ALTERNATOR READING IS AT 12.0, WITH THE CAR STILL BEING THIS RECENT, THE PRICE OF A NEW ALTERNATOR IS VERY EXPENSIVE. I WAS HOPING MAYBE TO SEE IF HONDA ACTUALLY HAS A RECALL ON THIS MODEL.
CAR WILL NOT START-FAULTY IGNITON SWITCH. I STARTED HAVING STARTER PROBLEMS FOR THE PAST 2 WEEKS. LAST WEEK IT DIDN'T START AT ALL .
I PURCHASED HONDA ACCORD 2014 AS USED AND HAVE JUST 42K MILES ON IT NOW. IT STARTED GIVING STARTING TROUBLES SINCE PAST 2 WEEKS. LAST WEEK IT DIDN'T START AT ALL . FINALLY IT STARTED ONCE & TOOK THE CAR TO DEALERSHIP & I WAS TOLD THAT STARTER HAS GONE BAD. COSTED $800 TO REPLACE IT.

STARTER BUTTON HAS GONE BAD AT 40K MILES. BATTERY IS NEW, KEY FOB BATTERY IS NEW, STILL CAR WON'T START AT LEAST 3-4 TIMES A WEEK. AFTER SEVERAL TRIES, IT FINALLY STARTS. VERY DANGEROUS TO BE STRANDED SOMEWHERE.

ADDITIONALLY, THE BACK UP CAMERA FAILED TO WORK. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO COGGIN HONDA JACKSONVILLE (11003 ATLANTIC BLVD, JACKSONVILLE, FL 32225, (904) 302-8217) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE STARTER AND CAMERA NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 09018590. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000.
I AM INQUIRING ON MY VEHICLE BECAUSE I RECEIVED ANOTHER RECALL NOTICE. WHEN I PUT MY CAR IN DRIVE, REVERSE, NEUTRAL, OR PARK, SPORT I CANNOT SEE THE LIGHT ON THE SYSTEM. IT CONSTANTLY BLINKS LIKE IT'S STUCK. I HAVE BROUGHT THIS UP NUMEROUS TIMES TO DIFFERENT HONDA DEALERS. I AM IN THE MILITARY AND ACTIVE DUTY SO I USE MY VEHICLE TO DRIVE FOR WORK. IT ALSO HAS CONNECTION ISSUES WITH MY BLUETOOTH WHEN I TRY TO CONNECT MY PHONE OR NEED TO TAKE A PHONE CALL. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR A FEW YEARS AND I STILL HAVE MY DOCUMENTATION AND RECEIPTS FOR ALL THE HONDAS AND SERVICE DEALERS THAT HAVE PREFORMED SERVICES ON MY CAR AND IT NEVER GETS FIXED OR RESOLVED AND DATES BACK ALL THE WAY FROM 2016-2020. THERE HAS BEEN TIMES WHEN I TURN MY CAR ON IN THE MORNING AND THE TEMPERATURE AND SCREENS ARE ALL SCRAMBLED AS WELL. I ADDED ALL MY RECEIPTS AND I HAVE SPENT OVER $6,007.23 TO BE EXACT ON MY CAR REPAIRS AND STILL NO RESOLUTION FOR THE ELECTRICAL ERRORS THAT KEEP HAPPENING. WHEN YOU PRESS THE START BUTTON, IT JUST CLICKS. AFTER A FEW TRIES, IT WOULD START. THE PROBLEM IS A FAULTY STARTER (NOT THE BUTTON, KEY, OR BATTERY). AFTER ONLY 60K MILES? HONDA CHARGED $900 TO REPLACE IT. CALLED HONDA AMERICA AND THEY REFUSED TO REIMBURSE ME. I AM DISAPPOINTED THAT HONDA DOES NOT STAND BY ITS PRODUCTS ANY MORE. THEY USED TO BE DEPENDABLE CARS.
ON 24 AUGUST 2018, SEVERAL LIGHTS CAME ON IN THE DASH, TO INCLUDE THE THE FCW, LDW, BRAKES AND POWER STEERING. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO HONDA AND WAS TOLD THAT MY VSA MODULATOR MAY NEED TO BE REPLACED. THEY RESET IT AND TOLD ME THAT IF THE LIGHTS COME BACK ON, I WOULD DEFINITELY NEED TO GET IT REPLACED. NEEDLESS TO SAY, THE LIGHTS CAME BACK ON 2 HOURS LATER. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THEY HAD TO ORDER THE PART, WHICH WAS $1400 +TAX AND LABOR. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED.
I WAS NOTIFIED BY CONSUMER REPORTS OF RECALL JP2 FOR MY CAR SHOWING THE NEED FOR CONNECTING ROD BOLTS ON MY 2014 HONDA ACCORD. HONDA DOES NOT RECOGNIZE THIS AS A VALID RECALL
WHEN I TRY TO START MY CAR, MOST OF THE TIME IT WON'T START. IT JUST CLICKS. I HAVE TO TRY MULTIPLE TIMES AND EVENTUALLY IT WILL START. THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM THAT HONDA SHOULD FIX. AND IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE, IF IT IS DARK OUT AND YOUR CAR WON'T START, THEN YOU ARE A TARGET FOR A CRIMINAL. I AM LOSING MY FAITH IN THE RELIABILITY OF HONDA'S.
MY 2014 HONDA ACCORD HAS 42,000 MILES. STARTING A COUPLE MONTHS AGO, THE CAR WOULD NOT START RANDOMLY. (BATTERY, ALTERNATOR TESTED GOOD. NO ISSUES WITH THEM) I DRIVE A MANUAL TRANSMISSION, IF THE CAR STALLS IN TRAFFIC OR ON A HILL I WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO START THE CAR BACK UP. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS! I HAVE BEEN STRANDED PLACES BECAUSE THE CAR WON'T START. ONE TIME IT WAS 100 DEGREES OUTSIDE AND I COULDN'T LEAVE TO GO HOME FROM WORK BECAUSE IT WOULDN'T START. SINCE THE ISSUE STARTED A COUPLE MONTHS AGO, IT IS NO MUCH WORSE. I HAVE TO TURN THE KEY 15 TO 20 TIMES AND IT FINALLY WILL START. SOMETIMES IT WONT. I HAVE READ THAT MANY PEOPLE HAVE ISSUES WITH THESE 9TH GEN HONDA ACCORD STARTERS FAILING. MINE FAILED AT 42,000 MILES? WHAT MODERN CAR'S STARTER DIES THAT EARLY?! SOMEONE ELSE'S STARTER DIED AT 24,000 MILES. MANY POSTS ONLINE ABOUT THE ISSUE. TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP, THEY WANTED $800 TO FIX THE ISSUE. MY WARRANTY EXPIRED AT 36,000 MILES. SO DANGEROUS, EXPENSIVE, AND FRUSTRATING! THIS PROBLEM NEEDS TO BE FIXED BY HONDA.
STARTING FROM LAST MONTH, THE CAR SOMETIMES CANNOT BE STARTED WHEN I TURNED THE KEY TO START THE CAR. THERE WAS NO SOUND. THE ENGINE COULD NOT BE STARTED. IN THE BEGINNING, IT HAPPENED ABOUT 1-2 TIMES PER WEEK. AND IT COULD BE STARTED AFTER 4-5 TRIALS. NOW IT HAPPENS ALMOST EVERY DAY. SOMETIMES I TRIED 10 MIN BUT IT STILL DOES NOT WORK. THE MACHINIST EXAMINED THE VEHICLE AND SAID THAT THE BATTERY WAS GOOD. THE HONDA DEALER SAID IT NEEDED TO REPLACE THE STARTER WITH THE COST ABOUT $900. IT SEEMS A KNOWN PROBLEM SINCE THERE ARE LOTS OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS ISSUE.
WHEN I GO TO START THE CAR, PUSHING THE BREAK AND PRESSING THE START BUTTON, I HEAR CLICKING AND THE ENGINE WILL NOT START. I HAVE TO TRY MULTIPLE TIMES BEFORE THE CARE WILL FINALLY START.
VTC ACTUATOR FAILED AT 30,000 MILES. THIS IS A LONG TERM ISSUE (2013,2014,2015,2016,2017 FOR ALL HONDA MODELS W THE 4CYL ENGINE. PART COST $203.88.OEM PART IS THE ONLY OPTION FOR REPLACEMENT WITH A REPLACEMENT TIME OF 5 HOURS. THE DEALERSHIP STATED THERE WAS NO TSB'S OR RECALLS, RELATED TO THIS PART. THEY DID NOT OFFER TO DISCOUNT ANY ASPECT OF THE BILL. I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT THE FAILURE OF THIS PART AT 30K IS REASONABLE AND CUSTOMARY AND WOULD CAUTION RETURNING A HONDA BACK TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS AND REPAIR. UTILIZE A QUALIFIED AND REPUTABLE ASE CERTIFIED REPAIR FACILITY.
WHILE DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY (2014 HONDA ACCORD, 42000 MILE) WARNING LIGHTS FOR BRAKES, ELEC. STABILITY CONTROL (VSA VEHICLE STABILITY ASSIST), POWER STEERING, AND ABC CAME ON AND STAYED ON FOR WHILE. THEY STARTED THEN TO GO AWAY FOR A FEW MILES THEN STAY ON MOST OF THE TIME. THE CAR ABS SYSTEM STARTED ACTING UP WHEN BRAKING AND ABS DOES NOT ENGAGE. I HAD IT CHECKED AT THE DEALER ON AUGUST 21, 2018 AND THEY INDICATED THAT THE VSA MODULATOR NEEDS REPLACEMENT AND IT IS COMMUNICATING WITH OTHER SYSTEMS AND COMPONENTS AND CAUSING ALL 4 WARNING LIGHTS TO COME ON. THEY SAID THE REPAIR WILL COST $1565.00. THIS FAILURE IS VERY PREMATURE FOR SUCH A CAR THAN HAD ONLY 42,000 MILES AT THE TIME IT OCCURRED.
THE VEHICLE MADE A LOUD GRINDING NOISE AND FAILED TO START AT 50K MILES ON THE ODOMETER. DEALER STATED THAT THE STARTER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AT A COST OF OVER $900. DEALER REFUSED TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE WITH EXPENSE DESPITE LOW MILEAGE AND CLEARLY PREMATURE PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE.
HAVE HAD PROBLEM WITH DRIVER SEAT/HOUSING FALLING APART. HAVE TAKEN IT TO DEALER TWICE AND IT'S HAPPENED AGAIN FOR THE THIRD TIME. THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED WAS WHEN THE CAR WAS UNDER A YEAR OLD. THE SECOND TIME IT WAS SOME PARTS THAT WERE REPLACE. WELL IT HAS FALLEN APART AGAIN.
THE STARTER HAS STARTED FAILING. IT STARTED OUT ONCE A WEEK AND HAS CONTINUALLY GOTTEN WORSE. NOW WHEN TRYING TO START THE CAR IT FAILS MULTIPLE TIMES A DAY.
LAST YES WHEN THE BATTERY WAS 3 YEARS OLD AND IT COMPLETELY DIED ON ME, HAD TO BUY A NEW ONE. I DIDN'T MIGHT SINCE IT WAS $150. A FEW MONTH (AUGUST 2018) AGO MY CAR WOULD NOT START FROM THE FIRST TIME I PUSH THE START BOTTOM AND I WOULD HAVE TO PUSH IT AGAIN FOR IT TO START. THIS HAPPENED ABOUT ONCE TO TWICE A WEEK. BUT OVER THE LAST MONTH (NOVEMBER 2018) THIS ISSUE REALLY INCREASED. STARTED TO HAPPEN MORE OFTEN AND THE CAR WOULD START AFTER THE 5TH OR 6TH ATTEMPT. CALLED THE DEALER THEY QUOTED ME OVER $500 TO FIX THE ISSUE AT A DISCOUNTED RATE. BUT MY STARTER SHOULD NOT BE GOING OUT THIS EARLY WHEN THE CAR IS ONLY 3 TO 4 YEARS OLD. THIS ISSUE MUST BE HAPPENING A LOT BECAUSE THE DEALER DIDN'T EVEN ASK TO DO A DIAGNOSTIC. AFTER I EXPLAIN MY PROBLEM THEY SAID QUOTED ME FOR THE STARTER. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE BATTERY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE BATTERY WAS REPLACED MULTIPLE TIMES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 62,314.

THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT THE VEHICLE'S DOORS LOCKED BY THEMSELVES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 39,980.
PURCHASED 2014 HONDA ACCORD IN 2017. ABOUT 18 MONTHS LATER, THE CLEAR COAT STARTED TO ERODE AWAY. I REGULARLY WAX AND WASH MY CAR. CURRENTLY, THE PAINT LOOKS CLOUDY, CHALKY AND IS ROUGH TO THE TOUCH. NOT AT ALL WHAT A 6 YEAR OLD CAR THAT'S TAKEN CARE OF SHOULD LOOK LIKE. I'M HIGHLY DISSATISFIED. I'VE REACHED OUT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND HONDA DIRECTLY TO SEE WHAT THEY CAN DO AS THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE TO LEAVE YOUR CUSTOMERS WITH THIS SITUATION AND ZERO RECOURSE.
I RECENTLY CAME UPON AN ARTICLE ABOUT 2014 HONDA'S THAT WOULD OVER HEAT AND YOU WOULD LOSE POWER CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO STALL. THIS HAPPENED TO MY VEHICLE ABOUT A WEEK AGO I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT LOW SPEED IN TRAFFIC AND MY VEHICLE BEGAN TO STALL BEFORE IT STALLED OUT I PRESSED THE GAS AND IT RETURNED TO NORMAL RPM. IT HAPPENED AGAIN ONE MORE TIME ABOUT TWO MINUTES LATER AND HASN'T HAPPENED SINCE.
WHEN STATIONARY THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START ON AN INTERMITTENT BASIS FOR SEVERAL MONTHS AND EVENTUALLY WOULD NOT START AT ALL. DIAGNOSTICS DETERMINED THE STARTER WAS BAD AND THE VEHICLE HAS APPROXIMATELY 50,000 MILES.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 HONDA ACCORD. WHEN THE GEAR WAS IN REVERSE, THE STEERING WHEEL SHOOK AND THE STEERING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE STEERING LOST POWER. THE DEALER WAS NOT CALLED AND THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE WAS NEITHER DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 101,000.
MY ACCORD IS 4 YEARS OLD AND HAS ABOUT 34,000 MILES ON IT. MY STARTER JUST BEGAN FAILING (3 MONTHS AFTER WARRANTY EXPIRED). I WAS HAVING INTERMITTENT STARTING FAILURE FOR APPROXIMATELY 2 WEEKS. I WOULD TURN THE KEY AND THE ENGINE WOULDN'T DO ANYTHING, MOST TIMES I WOULD IMMEDIATELY TRY AGAIN AND IT WOULD TURN ON FINE. ONE TIME IT TOOK ABOUT 5 TRIES TO GET IT TO TURN. AFTER SPEAKING WITH MY MECHANIC AND PAYING FOR A REPLACEMENT STARTER, I BELIEVE THAT THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE FROM HONDA AND THEY SHOULD ISSUE A RECALL.
TRIED TO START MY 2014 HONDA ACCORD THAT HAS HAD WELL MAINTAINED MAINTENANCE ON IT AND IT WON'T START. EVERYTHING WORKS BUT THE CAR WON'T START. THIS IS THE 4TH TIME THIS WEEK IT HAS HAPPENED AND THEN THE CAR JUST STARTS. NOW IT'S NOT STARTING. I DID MY RESEARCH AND REALIZE THIS IS AN ISSUE WITH THE 2014 ACCORD. HONDA NEEDS TO BE RESPONSIBLE AND FIX THIS IMMEDIATELY. CAR IS TOO NEW WITH ONLY 55K MILES, I OWN A 2001 TOYOTA SIENNA AND NO ISSUES LIKE THIS JUST ROUTINE MAINTENANCE. I PUT TRUST INTO HONDA AND THIS IS WHERE IT GETS ME.
RANDOMLY THE ABS, BRAKE, TRACTION, AND STEERING WHEEL INDICATORS APPEARED AFTER STARTING THE CAR AND MOVING IN MOTION TO GO TO THE STORE. NO WARNINGS PRECEDED. AFTER BEING CHECKED BY A MECHANIC, IT WAS DIAGNOSED AS HAVING A BAD MODULATOR. THE INDICATOR LIGHT CONTINUES TO POP UP EACH TRIP. SINCE HAVING THE CAR, THE STARTER WAS REPLACED LESS THAN A YEAR AGO.
THE POWER STEERING INDICATOR KEEPS COMING ON AND LOST OF POWER STEERING.
CAN IS 4 YEARS OLD AND HAS 118K MILES ON IT. HAD TO HAVE THE TRANSMISSION REPLACED, THERE WERE NO LIGHTS OR ERRORS ON THE COMPUTER WHEN IT WAS HOOKED UP BUT TOLD I NEEDED A NEW TRANSMISSION. CAR STOPPED GETTING IN GEAR. HAD A SALVAGED ONE PUT IN AND IN LESS THAN 2 MONTHS IT WAS DOING THE SAME THING AGAIN. ON 2 OCCASIONS OVER THE LAST WEEK, I'VE HAD TO HIT THE BRAKES HARD AND IT TOOK ABOUT 5 SECOND FOR THE CAR TO START GOING AGAIN WHEN I ACCELERATED. IT REVED DURING THAT TIME BUT THE GEAR DID NOT CATCH. IT IS ALSO SHIFTING VERY ROUGH FROM THROUGH THE GEARS AND WHEN BRAKING UNDER NORMAL CIRCUMSTANCES, IT SHIFTS ROUGH. I HAVE CONTACTED HONDA CORPORATE AND THEY'VE BASICALLY TOLD ME OH WELL.
MY CAR HAS 31000 MILES ON WHEN I SAW ALL 4 RIMS WITH THE PAINT BUBBLING UP, AND A WHOLE BUNCH OF WHITE SPOTS ON THE OUTSIDE AND INSIDE OF THE RIM.SECOND NOW I AM EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS STARTING THE VEHICLE, I EVENTUALLY GET THE CAR TO TURN OVER BUT IT IS HAPPENING MORE AND MORE FREQUENTLY, IT HAS HAPPENED TWICE IN A WEEK
I WAS SLOWLY MAKING A LEFT TURN INTO AND PULLING INTO A FRONT END IN PARKING SPACE WITH MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE, THE CAR AS ALREADY GOING STRAIGHT INTO THE PARKING SPACE WHEN THE CAR SUDDENLY ACCELERATED, COULD NOT BE SLOWED DOWN OR STOPPED BY THE BRAKE, JUMPED THE CURB, AND CRASHED INTO THE BUILDING. AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY.
VEHICLE WOULD NOT START. ONLY A CLICKING SOUND WOULD BE HEARD UNDER THE HOOD. ALL IGNITION LIGHTS WOULD LIGHT PROPERLY AND HEADLIGHTS STAYED ON AND WERE BRIGHT. THIS INDICATED BATTERY WAS GOOD. ALSO BATTERY WAS JUST REPLACED. BUT THE CAR ENGINE WOULD NOT TURN OVER. IT WOULD TAKE 2 TO 3 TRIES TO GET CAR TO START. IT GOT PROGRESSIVELY WORSE AS TIME WENT ON. IT TURNS OUT I HAD TO REPLACE THE STARTER. IT WENT BAD AFTER ONLY 42,500 MILES. I SEEN OTHER COMPLAINTS ABOUT STARTER ISSUE. IT APPEARS HONDA MAY HAVE DEFECT IN STARTER. THE WARRANTY EXPIRED ABOUT 8 MONTHS AGO, AND THE DEALER WANTED TO CHARGE ME $650 TO REPLACE STARTER. I BOUGHT A STARTER AND INSTALLED MYSELF SAVING MONEY.
STARTER WENT BAD AND WAS INTERMITTENT. THE SOLENOID WOULD NOT WORK AT TIMES. ALSO ENGINE WOULD TURN OVER SLOWLY LIKE IT HAD A BAD BATTERY.
WAS BACKING VEHICLE OUT OF A PARKING SPACE WHEN POWER STEERING FAILED SUDDENLY.
CAR WOULD NOT START BUT WOULD JUST CLICK AND ELECTRICITY WOULD TURN ON. PROBLEM PERSISTED AND GOT WORSE AND WORSE. WOULD REQUIRE 2, THEN 3 UP TO 6 TRIES TO START THE ENGINE. REPLACED BATTERY AND PROBLEM STILL PERSISTED AND GOT WORSE. WENT TO MECHANIC AND WAS TOLD STARTER WAS FAULTY, HAD TO PAY FOR A FULL STARTER REPLACEMENT AT LESS THAN 45,000 MILES.
I HAVE A 2014 HONDA ACCORD WITH 30,000 MILES AND HAS A BAD STARTER. FOR THE PAST 8 MONTHS , THE STARTER BUTTON HAD TO BE PUSHED SEVERAL TINES TO START ENGINE. NOW IT WILL NOT START AT ALL. HONDA HAS MADE A STARTER THAT WILL FAIL PREMATURE BECAUSE THE SOLENOID IS BUILT INSIDE THE STARTER AND CARBON FROM THE BRUSHES DESTROY SOLENOID CONTACTS.
PISTON RINGS NEED TO BE CHECKED. WENT FOR OIL CHANGE AND THERE WAS NO OIL IN CAR TECH SAID THERE WAS NOT A LEAK AND IT MUST BE BURNING OIL CAR WAS AT 30%
THE REAR VIEW CAMERA DOES NOT WORK 23000 MILES ON THE VEHICLE.VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY
